The House of Lords has warned the government that it needs to act quickly to make sure that there is sufficient time for energy storage plans to scale up, in time to support energy decarbonisation by 2035.
This comes following the publication of the Lon-duration energy storage: get on with it’ report, which has found that the government needs to make major decisions quickly.
Chair of the Science and Technology Committee Baroness Brown said that the government must take action now.

Cornwall Council is investing £12.5 million in developing skills across the region, in order to deliver more opportunities for locals.
A range of activities and projects are being supported to make sure that residents are equipped with the necessary skills for the future of work.
These include futures in the green economy, digital skills, offshore energy.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority has announced that art and cultural offerings are benefitting from ringfenced investment.
Just over £4.5 million is being committed to supporting business, artists and creatives to thrive within Cambridge whilst also preparing historical buildings for the future.
This includes the development of a creative and cultural hub.
