What is up? Welcome back to another episode of the process of becoming with Josh and my name is Dino guys. We are super pumped to be here for you. We have a pretty hype atmosphere going on at first form headquarters today. I pulled in and saw the parking lot. I'm like, shit. That's right. We got the community workout happened today. Yes, we do. So we got a community workout here at headquarters. It's pretty incredible. The energy in the building is awesome. My energy right now is awesome. Dino's energy is always awesome. So we're going to be bringing you a great podcast today.
You know, thank you for filling in last week. The episode that you recorded was incredible. Thank you, I appreciate it. Yeah, it was awesome. I think like it's such a valuable thing to think about. Like, are you the hero or the villain? Right. So good. So I appreciate that. I went back and took a couple of notes. I guess some stuff I could probably educate my people on right there. I appreciate that, man. I forgot where it even came from originally, because like, like I said, whenever I thought about that concept, it was it was based on a conversation I had with a friend a long time ago.
But dude, it's such a it's such a fucking true thing man It's like, you know, you talk about it or we talk about it all the time. You hear it all the time It's like you can be whoever you want to be you could do whatever you want to do But we never look at it in the sense of like it's like our story, you know Like I think you've actually mentioned this you remember that Joe Rogan thing where he talks about like the hero of your like your life for my mind immediately That's what I think about because at the end of day, it's like we are all either superhero villain Like what story are you telling? You know, it's like it's like you're watching a movie
There's so many different movies, but it's like, what movie do you want to play? So man, I appreciate that. I wish you were here though. I'm also a little upset. I didn't get an invite for the staycation, family vacation, whatever. It was pretty legit. I could tell. I could tell. So we were going to go to Branson and then we looked at the weather and it was like 96, 97 degrees each day and everything in Branson from like a fun standpoint is outside. So I was like, dude, no way. Let's just stay here. We'll do all this stuff. So we took a couple hours planned it.
kids had a freaking blast. I was gonna say probably went way better than actually going to Branson. 100 % because we were like kids were exhausted so we got home like seven o 'clock each night. shit. Kim and I could watch a movie chill out the dogs were well taken care of I got to sleep in my own bed I'm like yeah. That's the best dude. That is the best. More staycation is what I hear. Yeah so going back to that what you were saying there with the hero piece that is something and I know I mentioned this on the podcast before that's something I listen to
every single morning for probably six or seven months straight. You're talking about the Joe Rogan. Yeah, yeah, the Joe Rogan. What does he call it? Be the hero of your own story. All right. But he had two versions of that when I was first starting my journey out. He had a minute and a half or almost two minute version. And then there was an 11 minute like motivational version of it. And I still have them saved on my on my YouTube. But I listen to that every single morning. And what I didn't realize at the time, but I know now is that I was reshaping my identity around who I wanted to be and who I should be.
Right? Because we did an entire episode on identity and until you can change your identity, it's really hard to get things to stick because again, topic that we're going to cover here in the near future, subconscious mind, like you got to reprogram that bad boy. Right? And if you're just going off past experiences, past lessons, past life and like thoughts and memories, guess what? It's going to be really uphill battle. So that, that resonated with me and that's instantly what I thought about.
100 % and even with that too man a lot of the reason we struggle with with that piece is because subconsciously it All the things that we do every single day throughout our day that our habits Are all based on things that we don't even pay attention to 95 % of the time, right? So like to your point man, it's like Even if you think about changing ourselves the first place you got to go is to that subconscious because that is the computer running the show right and like to your point we're gonna hit on this because
I think there's so much you could dive into the subconscious piece, but I know we kind of talked about this. And I would say visualization is a great starter place to kind of start taking control of the conscious mind, right? Because if you really think about it, like dude, even with you and playing that the hero of your own story, right? It's being able to look at your life differently than what it is now, which is uncommon because subconsciously you're running the same view every single day you wake up, right? So when you take that one time to
or the, you know, after you listen to a minute or 10 minutes or whatever, and you're like, what if my life was this or what if it looked a little different? Dude, that is the key, right? And to your point, until you change your identity, you can't really change your life. But even with that, it's not like a one day you do this and then all of a sudden your identity is changed. And I've used this example before, but it's like, and this is for anybody out there that wonders how like habits are built or like how we get into or how we engrave things that become who we are and then we just do subconsciously.
It's like having a field of tall grass, right? And let's say when you have a thought for the first time, it's like walking through that grass, you know, obviously the first time, which is tough, right? You have so much grass in your face, whatever you're pushing it down. But then let's say you have that thought 10 more times. Okay. Well, now it's the equivalent of walking through that grass field, but with a machete. So you're cutting down the path, right? After 50 times of having that, you know, same thought. Now you're building a pathway in that field where it's a lot easier to walk down. Right? So you go from
Hey, not being able to walk through, you can't really see, but now there's a whole path cut through. And that's how your brain works with building the programming, right? And both positive or negative. So if you don't catch that, and if you don't start doing things to change that identity, you basically create your pathway of thinking just one way. I hope that makes sense. A hundred percent does. And to take that to like an actual, excuse me, an actual biophysical component, like there's something called neuroplasticity, right? And I'm sure you've read about it and looked into it, but when you
you can literally recreate and reshape the neural pathways in your brain. Right now, every single memory, every single new experience is being run on those same quote unquote roadways in your brain. They're being recreated, right? Or they were created when we were younger, they were created throughout our life. So every experience, every memory, every thought that we pull from is running through that road that you're talking about. Right? So we have the ability to recreate those roads and it takes a while to do that.
So now every memory, every experience is now going through a different, differently shaped road or a different pathway. And now that's how you gain the experience that you're living now or the thoughts or the memories that you have now. So it's a big, there's like a big thought process on this and they're doing research on it right now of like an experience, like the whole kind of thought process around the research is do people actually remember things as they were? Right? So like the thought process is like, Hey, you told your story of your past.
how much of it was actually accurate versus like your experience now remembering back and then the new pathways that were created. So it's kind of wild to think about. Now, have you ever seen the movie Inside Out?
Are you talking about the the animation? Yes with the most yes. So now again, it's a kid's movie But it's a very real thing that happens with the rain, right? So it's it's it's what I always go back to, you know Thinking about the roadways that Dino is talking about and the new pathways that we're creating It's why visualization is so important It's why doing all these things to recreate yourself and your identity is so valuable because you can change the the meaning that you give your experiences, right? So it's a
valuable thing to do not only for the peace of mind that you have now but to create the identity of who you want to become. It's almost something you have to do. Thousand percent. Yeah. It's a part of life. And dude, I love this. And obviously, you know, we wanted to, we were thinking about going through and talking about subconscious mind today, but I think it is a great topic to cover a different time where we can dive in deeper. You know, and I would say visualization is one of the biggest pieces to controlling your subconscious.
Why do you think it's a struggle for people to visualize? Or where do you think, I guess, the struggle for visualization comes from for a lot of people? Or why do they think it doesn't work? Yeah.
There's that's a multifaceted question. So let me die back. I think a lot of people struggle because they don't quite understand that they you don't have to visualize things. Right. That's just how you start with a vision board. Right. And the starting with a vision board situation is practice so that you can actually quiet your mind and focus on detail. Right. Because detail is very important. OK. Now, jump really far forward in your visualization journey. The whole concept of visualization is to visualize the person that you need to become in order to have those things. And then secondarily,
is to elevate your emotional state as if you already have them. Right. So, you know, Albert Einstein said, I don't remember the exact quote, but literally the only thing that it comes down to from a manifestation standpoint is getting your energy to match the frequency of the thing that you want. If you can do that, you'll literally have anything that you want. And it's so true. So true. That becomes the struggle. It's like, all right, well, how do we get our vibrational energy and our frequency up through that emotion? So, but a lot of people that I mentor, they struggle with it because they're like, Hey, I'm not, I'm not
I'm not a materialistic person. I don't want all these things, right? And they don't understand. It's like, all right, well visualize yourself as the best version of yourself and understand that you are that now, right? So that's a big one there. Second one is people don't quiet their mind. Their mind jumps back and forth from a bunch of different things. They don't understand that, Hey, that's okay. That's all part of the journey and the experience. They look at that as like this bad thing. Like, my God, because my mind's going everywhere, I'm not good at this or it doesn't work. Right. Right. And the last thing is they don't give it enough time.
time consistently, which is true across the board for anything. Very true. Very true. I actually want to throw one in here. One reason I actually think people struggle to do visualization or believe that visualization works is because I don't think they have enough self love within themselves. Right. And the reason I say that is because, you know, when you think about someone going to you and being like, Hey, Josh, what life do you want? Like, imagine anything, no ceilings. Like, what is your perfect life? And then you give me the answer. And I'm like, guess what? You can have it.
All you got to do is this is this. All you got to do is believe. It sounds so crazy, but it's like how and I think for people it's like, dude, how can I have that? Like, am I really good enough? Right. And the reason I think again, visualization ties into subconscious mind so well is because when you start visualizing and start doing it consistently, you start to take control. But a lot of the things that stop us from visualizing is the subconscious mind. Because a lot of the times, man, we're thinking about like, we're not good enough. Is it really possible for us to have this? And I think that's what stops a lot of people.
Sometimes we use it as hey, I'm not materialistic. Hey, I'm you know, I can't stop thinking it's like no no, no you you can but you're you're going to your subconscious mind I'm not good enough. I can't have this that's bullshit. You can have any life you want Yeah, so for me, I think a lot of people stop because of the lack of self -love or belief in themselves And that's a huge piece for it working the way you want it to be set in today free high frequency and being able to unlock that
You have to have some form of love, right? Self love, being able to, you know, be empathetic, see, see light in a way of gratitude, see life through.
the lenses of a human being. If you don't do that, you don't really hit the visualization that you need to. It doesn't work the way you want it to. Yeah. And it goes back to what we talked about at the very beginning is like they're running all of their thoughts and beliefs through the old, old programming that they have. Right. So, cause honestly, like everybody's life experiences are a culmination of all of it, right? So it may be something subconsciously of like, Hey, I wanted to be a veterinarian and here I am working at Home Depot and then the cashier like that didn't work out for me. So that's
then they hear about visualization, they want so badly for it to be real and be a thing. But then they're running, it's like, all right, well, it didn't work out that way. So why would this work out? Correct. Right. Similar to people in a fat loss journey. Hey, like every time I've ever tried this, it failed, right? Okay. Well, you've never worked with me. So how about you just like open your mind a little bit. I mean, realistically open your mind. So it's the belief, I think a hundred percent spot on, and the subconscious. And again, it's the time because you know, for me,
I'm 40 years old. If I just started visualizing today, I have 40 years of hardwired programming that I am trying to overcome. I have 40 years of creating an identity of who I thought I was or who I thought I should be or where my ceiling is or who I can be. So it takes time to rewire that. But the cool thing about it is it's not a one -to -one timeframe. Correct. I've been visualizing for six years.
Right? Give or take. And it's like the amount of forward progress I've had in the last six years over the prior 34. Ridiculous. It's crazy. Dude, visualization alone, it's like you're doubling down on your training. Right? There's, and actually here's a great example of this. Cause like you said, you know, from by 34 compared to the last six years, you've made so much more leaps and bounds in the last six years. Right? Now that obviously you took the choice. You took what was in front of you. Like, Hey, I'm running at this. I want to be the best. But a lot of this works, man is.
Here's a great example of this. So there's this athlete and she actually was a CrossFit Games athlete and someone asked her like, hey, how do you prepare? You know, how are you so good? And you know, how are you at the top level? And one of the things she said, she said she visualizes her performance all the time, right? And how she put this together was like, think about this. Let's say I'm getting ready for this game, right? Like this competition, this event, whatever it is, you know, and I've never done it before.
Physically like in person in reality like it's never happened But what if I visualize it a thousand times and went through exactly how it would happen how I would get through it put myself in those situations By that time that I get to that competition. I've already practiced a thousand times So guess how much further you are ahead of everybody else so much, right? So the reason that you do you saw that jump in only six years and I agree with you because my life was the same right the the jump from when I started visualizing to the life before it was so much bigger it was almost like a 10x did
But it was because you are initially practicing or thinking constantly about the life that you want that your actions are leading to it. Because again, subconsciously your brain's hearing all those things. Like dude, if I wake up every single morning for the next 10 years and I'm like, hey, I believe I'm going to be a millionaire. Now I'm not saying this is just going to, you say I believe I'm a millionaire 10 years, all of a sudden you wake up. No. But what's going to happen is my mind is going to start to truly, okay, hey, this is possible.
And subconsciously now I'm looking for ways to make it possible without me even realizing I'm like, yeah, I could do it that way. yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense. But it's because I've trained my mind to believe this. And when I could do that, okay, now how much easier it is to become this person or do these things, right? And similar to you too, similar to me. When you start that process, it does take time.
But if you can consistently hit on it, it's like you're speeding up your life because you're practicing for the future. I hope that makes sense. A hundred percent does. Yeah. Spot on with that. I look at it like this is like, there's two different magnets, you know, you have the magnet of your past, your past experience and your past emotion is constantly pulling you towards that, right? Comfort essentially. the second thing is you have the magnet of the future if you could be. And it's like, that one is a extremely strong attraction, but you just got to turn yourself around.
so that your pole, so to speak, is facing the magnet that is being drawn by that. Right? Because everybody knows magnets have two different poles and that whole thing. So kind of a bad example, but it works in my mind. But we need to turn ourselves around. And really, to Dino's point, is we have to, the key to visualization is having something that we are trying to become. Right? The whole idea of this podcast, the process of becoming. And I think that's something that could even potentially hold people back from visualizing is they don't firmly actually know what they want. Which again,
That's why when you're starting this out, having a vision board or even just a very crystal clear picture of who you want to be, you know, in the book, law of attraction, they talk about a contrast list. It's like, well, sometimes if you don't know who you want to be, just figure out who you don't want to be. Right. I don't want to be this. And the really cool thing about it is when you figure out the things that you don't want, it automatically elevates your standard because of the things you do want. Now are crystal clear. All I need to do is start doing more of the things based on what I want. Right. And that action is what turns you around. Right. So now.
that magnet that was drawing you a pass because of inaction if we take action now we're flipped the other way and we can start being drawn by that magnet forward and momentum is just taking you that way exactly yeah so visualization guys it's such an amazing thing and again just to go back at this if you're jumping in and haven't heard us talk about the beginning manifestation is not some magical thing right there is a work component that goes into it there's a time component right it's it's a loop in a circle that you got to continuously run but the cool thing is is that the more you experience it the more you're
you're going to want to experience it because guess what? You step out, detach a little bit, you realize like, okay, I am becoming the person that I'm supposed to become. I am becoming the hero of my own movie. This is changing. I am rewiring my past experiences and how I attach meaning to them. And that gives you more belief. Like, hey, this is awesome. And then the outside world confirms that when people start looking to you and listening to your podcast. It's kind of crazy how it works. Do you know when I deal with the imposter syndrome? We deal with all of it. We deal with the lack of belief.
If we deal with the hey like is this visualization stuff actually working even though we've seen it work millions of times that are in line dude It's normal. Yeah, it's very normal. Wow. I want to tie this in man because this is how I think about this If you think about like professional athletes, you know, and I think we can all agree on this You know when you watch those guys at the top level, you know, a lot of them are 20s Late 20s, you know early 30s, right like they're they retire by 40, right?
But when you think about those people and you think about like at the level that they play at, you're like, how do they do this?
You know, and there's one guy in particular, and if you guys watch the NBA, you might know him. His name is Luka Doncic, right? He's amazing. But if you look at the guy, he doesn't look like the most athletic guy. He doesn't look like an athlete. But if you see the dude play, you're like, holy shit, dude. He makes these guys look like they're little kids. You know, when I think about people at that level, and I'm like, what is the difference, right? Like, how did they get to that level in the first place? And it's not that they just...
Like they just had this belief from the start. Okay, but the reason they're at that level and they're able to perform at their level is because of their belief, right? Like you guys got to remember this too. It's like when they go into a game, it's not like they have an idea what's going to happen. Every game is unique. Every it's not it's brand new things are going to happen. It's going to be a new pass. It's going to be a new play. It doesn't every single game doesn't play out the same way, right? But then you when you think about it, it's like how does someone show up at that level all the time and compete and do well?
Well, it's because they have this vision of who they want to become. They might not have every single detail outlined, but they know who they want to become and they think about that person. And when they think about that person and continue to view themselves as that person in game times, subconsciously, they're training their brain to make decisions like that person. And to your point, dude, it's like when you have this view of who you want to become, you don't need to have all the materialistic things.
But when you can constantly have that view, it gets closer to that view. You're able to make decisions based on that person that you want to become. Right. And the reason I bring up athletes as an example is because guess what? They're not really that different. The only difference is they have belief in themselves. So when they get out there, it's a lot easier to make a decision, the right decision. Right. It's like what level, where are you operating from? Good or bad? And when you have this view of who you want to become, and let's say it's a, this mom, it's his dad, it's this person who runs his business and they act this way, this way, this way.
Well dude, the more that you practice that view, watch how it translates into your life based on that view, right? Like if you want to be an awesome mom and you see yourself, you know, smiling all the time, your kids love you because you're this, your kids, you know, are getting value because you're constantly helping them out with things. If you have that view of yourself, watch what, watch what decisions you start to make throughout the day. The decisions usually line up to that person. And so I bring up athletes as an example is because at the highest level, how are they able to perform? Because guess what? They're not really any different than us.
All those skills, we can learn them too. They're not like superpowers. The superpower they have is up here. It's mental. So just want to kind of tie that in. No, Ed, you're 100 % spot on. Another thing there is the repetition. Correct. Right? It's doing it over and over and over again with the expectation. But the one thing I'll throw into that too, guys, is like knowing the person that you want to become, you already are that person. Correct. You just have to act it out.
Right. So it's, it's again, it's the whole time component. It's something that we mentioned a few podcasts ago, like time moves through us, right? Past, present and future all exist simultaneously right now. So if the future already exists right now, and this has been proven through science, right? Is that time is, it's all relative, you know, the theory of relativity, you could look into all this stuff. It's deep science, but time moves through us, meaning that we are standing still or we are moving around in the universe that we live in and the space we live in, but we
can always have the past present and the future because the future is happening right now. Right. The future is right now. Right now again. Right. So if we can fully understand that and body that we don't have to long for something that is so far away. You just got to start experiencing it right now. Right. And the key to do this again comes back to visualization to allow you to the belief but also the vision of who you should be. You know so the thing the way I look at this from my standpoint is like being an executive here. It's one of the things I visualize all the time. Well the really cool thing about it is I
have an example of what that looks like in front of me every day. So I just choose every day to act like that. It's like, all right, well, I'm going to do the things that I see other executives doing. I'm going to do some of them a little bit better. I'm going to strive to be as good as some of it. But at the same time, it's like, I don't have to think, man, you know, one day I can start doing that or I'm going to be that. I just do it right now. Right. Am I perfect? No. Am I executive? No. But if I continue to do those things, guess what? It's inevitable. And with that too, man, a lot of people or we think that
Change or the person that we want to become happens in a day do it the process of becoming the person you want to it starts today Right, like hey if I want to be an NBA player, for example, I didn't start at 25 I started at four You know what? I mean? Like it's it's you have to take action today to get to that place ten years from now You know what? I mean, it's your point It's not like you just look so far ahead and you're like, I can't wait for that day to happen No, no, no the day starts today. It doesn't start today in the sense of like hey you make one decision and you're that person
But it starts with, hey, I gotta make a decision to get closer to that person. And then again tomorrow, and then again tomorrow, and then again tomorrow. And then before you know it, now you're that person, you're like.
I'm here, but that's how it happens. So you got to make that decision today So what you're saying is that if you raise your energy You're going to attract that future thing that you think you want that it is not really actually in the future You're gonna attract it to you kind of it's kind of crazy how it works. It's like though What do you call it? The law of attraction? Yeah, so I'm like that. So, all right Josh I got a question on bro. How how do you visualize like what is what has been the key for you? And how did you go about this? Like how did you?
Because you know, obviously we just talked about like people struggle with this, you know, and a lot of people either don't do it because of a belief or whatever, but what and how did you get yourself to start doing it and start doing it consistently? Yeah. So the kicker here and the thing that I'll say right out of the gate is that I still struggle some days, right? It's like I've been doing this for a long time. I've I don't think I've perfected it because I never will, but I've gotten a lot better than I was. But there's still some days where I'll just sit down and very similar thing. A lot of people struggle.
struggle with is like their mind just doesn't get quiet. They can't focus on those emotions or feelings or whatever that they want to become.
or that they want to be right now. So with me starting out, what I did was I did guided visualizations. I have about a series, I think I have seven or eight of them saved to my YouTube. I can put them in the, in the show notes for you guys. But they're guided. So it's a great place to start out because again, when you sit down and close your eyes, first thing, especially women, man, I gotta do laundry. I gotta do this. I gotta do that. For me, when I sit down, like my mind just goes to weird shit. Like, I know, I know. I'm like, man, I haven't thought about that in a long time.
I'm like, why am I thinking about that? And then I'm like in my own brain with.
So the guided visualizations really helped me out in the beginning where they'll just kind of calm you down, walk you through a little bit of a breathing routine to get your body kind of in tune. And then you rock and roll on it. It just tells you to think about certain things. And then you just close your eyes and just really focus on those things. That's kind of like a training ground, right? So progressing from there, I started getting into sound frequency, just non guided visualizations. And a lot of the visualizations for their guided, they are, they all have sound frequencies. But again, everything being energy, sound frequencies are
They're very important, right? There's been a lot of science and historical data to prove that everything vibrates a certain frequency. So if you can match that frequency, you're good. So listening to those things is really good. In fact, just being real and having a lot of trouble sleeping lately. And last night I fell asleep listening to 432 Hertz frequency. Best I've slept in so right. It was amazing. So frequency is very important. Even take that step further with how important frequencies are. If you want to go down a rabbit hole, look into the right machine or I F E this gentleman back in the day.
created a machine using sound frequencies that literally eradicate cancer, tumors, you name it. And then he ended up getting Clinton. So he disappeared, his technology disappeared, and now it's starting to resurface a little bit because one of his grandsons is like on a pioneer mission. But frequency is very powerful. So from there, though, from the guided stuff, I started listening to sound frequencies and really just trying to visualize the things that I wanted on my vision board, right? Primarily the house, the Bronco, the watch, the jets, whatever. But I started trying to visualize
visualize those things in detail. And again, just training myself through that process, I started realizing, understanding through my own research that it's not the things, it's the person you need to become to have the things. And it's also the emotion of, hey, when I do have that Bronco and I get it for the first day and I'm driving it every day to work, what is that going to feel like? Right. And it's again, it's the gratitude, raising your vibrational frequency and your energy in that situation is going to allow more positive things to happen. And over time, really understanding that the visualization process of raising that
vibrational frequency and energy, that's how you're supposed to live the rest of your day. So that was my next step was, okay, I could raise my vibrational frequency through my visualization, but then through the day, my thoughts and things would just go negative and I'd bring my frequency down. So then it became a practice of, okay, how do I actually live that and carry that energy through my day, which is still a struggle for sure. But that's where I went. From now, what I do is I do microdosing from a standpoint of visualization. So I visualize five, 10 minutes in the morning, no sound, nothing.
I just close my eyes and just picture the person that I need to be. I call this setting my attention for the day, right? Energetically, get my vibrational frequency up. This is who I am going to be today, right? Do that. And then I microdose that through the day. Cause if I feel myself slipping off, I'll sit down and close my eyes for a couple of seconds and just get it back to where it needs to be. Love that. Right. So from a visualization of picturing things, now I could do it. I could visualize sitting here with you that we're sitting on a beach in Hawaii and I can hear the waves. I can raise all that with my eyes open while I'm speaking. So,
So it's where I've kind of gotten to again, still perfecting it, playing with it and having fun with it. But the idea is consistently progressing to the next step. So does that answer the question? Yeah, it's a never ending journey. And dude, I actually have a very similar process of this. For me, this is and I hope this kind of helps people.
But how I went into this was I went into it like a movie, right? So when I first started visualizing, I took a heavy hit on it. And what I mean by heavy hit is like I dove in really, really deep, right? Like to the point where I was 20 to 15 minutes of meditation.
20 to 30 minutes of visualization every day and morning and night. So I was going heavy. But how I did this and how it really helped was the first thing I would do is I would almost like play this movie where I'm like sitting in the theater watching it, right? And the movie is my life, right? It's my perfect house, my perfect home, whatever scenario I'm kind of picturing, right? And the first thing I would do is I would sit in the movie theater, I would watch this from like a third person point of view. I would see myself, you know, doing whatever.
But then after that, I would jump into the movie, right? And how I would jump in is I would jump in as if I'm sitting next to you. I'm looking through things through my eyes now. Did you jump off both feet or just one foot? I actually leaped in one. So I go one step in and then in. I asked that question intentionally to see how detailed it was. He knew it immediately. I knew exactly where you went with that because dude, and this is perfect. I'm glad you mentioned that because part of this is being as detailed as possible. Right? So like even when I walked in, it's not a jump in.
It's like a step over like I don't know if you ever play those Mario games I forgot what that one Mario game anyway Mario world I think it's called I don't know but it's like, you know I stepped into it and when I step in I almost like land in the ground and when I sit in the ground I'm seeing the picture of the movie that I had right and the very first thing that I do is I go through my five senses What do I see? What do I feel? What's the smell? Do I taste anything and you know, my other senses like how am I feeling right now? Right and I would go through essentially the five senses
And I would go through the movie like, okay, hey, I'm going to open my door. After I open my door, what does it feel like? What color is it? You know, what kind of mood am I in? Am I smiling? Am I not? Like, what do I look like? Is my back straight? And I think about those things. And I go really deep with that, but I look at it all through my eyes. And when I look at it, I try to pretend that it's real. And what I mean by pretend, I mean like to the point where it becomes so real that you don't see anything else. Like you believe that that is gonna happen.
But that's how I would do it, right? So I would watch that movie, I would jump in, and when I jump in, I'm in my seat now. And I'm looking through things through my eyes, and I'm paying attention to the color, to the patterns, again, the five senses. That is such a big piece to this. And how you do it is like...
Dude, for me, I even did this before where I was like, hey, once I felt it, I was like, wait, how am I standing? shit, I'm slouched over. Okay, Dino, the more confident Dino, he's standing up tall, he's smiling, he's calm, he's present, he's with his family, he thinks this way, and I start kind of picturing myself in those spots. But dude, it's very simple in that sense, right? It's hard to do, but at the end of the day, if you break it down that simply, it helps you.
get into that person, if that makes sense, right? And when you get into that person, those five senses are the end. At the end of the day, man, that detail is so key. And the reason it's so key is because your brain actually doesn't know what's real or a fake if you can picture it in so much detail, right?
When you picture those things in detail, your mind doesn't know if it's a memory or if it's fake. And once you get it so dialed in with the detail, it becomes real to the point that your mind believes it's real. And once you get it to that point, watch what happens in your day. You start becoming that person that you've always visualized. And with the scenarios, guys, you can go through different scenarios with this. I have a scenario where I go and buy a car.
I have a scenario where I'm at my house with my family. I have a scenario where I'm going out to an event that I'm doing, right? That's for me, that I'm public speaking. So it's like, you can have different scenarios of how you do this. It's not just like a one movie, but I'll play multiple movies different days. But how I do it is based on the five senses. And I look at everything through my eyes. I hope that makes sense on the how on my side.
Yeah, 100 % of us. It's actually wild while you were walking through because I have a very, very, very similar visualization. It's the movie of my life. Yeah. And with mine, I see myself from third person. Right. So I'm almost like a camera hovering behind me. I never see my face in my visual. They just always like a camera behind my head. But while you were talking, I was literally listening to you pulling and everything you were saying, but also visualizing my walking into my house, stepping over the flower bed, the cobblestone walkway up to the house, turning the handle.
Literally everything no, I can walk in see the living room how it is. I can do a lot. I'm talking. That's crazy Yeah, it's wild but guys again to Dino's point here and what we talked about a little bit earlier What he's doing by visualizing it on that level of detail is he's reprogramming his subconscious mind Okay again, if your subconscious mind can be reprogrammed like almost like a river cool Redirecting to where that river is going right now anything that his conscious mind the mind that most of us pay attention to all day The mind that says hey like you're not capable
or you're not good enough or hey, you shouldn't do that. The imposter syndrome mind, right? That mind is now reflecting everything off the subconscious mind, past experiences. These past experiences of Dino living this life that he is going to live, that is what his now, his actual experience is driven through. So it's such a powerful thing. And again, when we do talk about subconscious mind, it's not going to be crazy deep, but we're going to reiterate a lot of this stuff because it is so, so, so important. And it literally shapes the experience.
that you have every single day. It's life -changing man. It's to the point where when we think about this, if you want to change your life from where you're at now, this is one of the ways to do it.
And if you really think about it, and Josh, you said this too, man, but it's like, if you don't have that view, and I don't know if it was, it's been a couple podcasts, but like having that goal of what you want, right? If you don't have that goal and you don't know what you want to become, how do you know what you need to do to get there? Right? It's like, maybe dumb example, but it's like, let's say I'm going, I'm in a class and I'm about to take a test, but the teacher never gives me the information. We never go through any of the material. How the fuck am I going to be ready for that test? I don't even know what the test is.
I don't even know what I need to do nothing
Life is the same way. If you aren't getting prepared for the test, like what is that thing? If you don't know those things, how can you do the things that you need to do to get there? You can't because you don't know what they are. Dude, it's it's how most like that is such a freaking amazing example because everybody's experienced that where they were unprepared for a test. And what do they say? Hey, I'm just going to go in and I'm going to hope for the best. Guess what happens? Yeah. And guys, that is the problem. That is what we're trying to fix here is that most people live their life hoping for the best hope.
is a shitty strategy. Yep. It's a shitty strategy. So going back to something Dino talked about a while back is like when you do this the way that Dino and I are discussing it, you are literally creating your own life. You're no longer hoping you are taking your jumping from the passenger seat into the driver's seat. You put that seatbelt on and you get to dictate how fast you go. Right. For me, I started out visualizing 10 minutes and I started visualizing pictures. It took me a while to get the movie concept down. Right. So I was driving, you know, say 45. Good to go. Maybe 45.
in a 60 I was a little bit under the speed limit which if you know me personally that never happens. Never. Right but Dino he's like hey you know what we're jumping in the Bugatti and he freaking supercharged it right which ironically enough Dino's ahead in life and he's doing pretty good he's not relying on hope he is a young man with a very very bright future because he's creating it so I think the message that I wanted to say one more time is that hope is a very shitty strategy and this is how you actually take control and start creating.
I want to challenge everyone. Because I know, dude, I get it, right? Because when we talk about this, it sounds crazy. It's a little, not the norm, so to say. But give it 30 days. I challenge anyone who listens to this, do this for 30 days. Okay, what I mean by do this for 30 days, I mean visualize for 10 to 15 minutes and meditate for 10 to 15 minutes every single day for 30 days.
Intentionally give it give it your best doesn't mean you have to be perfect But give it your all and if you do that watch what happens by the 30th day you're gonna notice a little difference and Pay like even do this where you journal your first day Before you go into it and then journal your last day and pay attention to the difference, right? It's like taking a progress photo But I promise you if you guys do this and take what Josh and I have been talking about and implement it literally for 30 days You will see a difference. You're gonna feel different then imagine if you did it for three months
and then eight months, imagine for a whole year, watch your life change, right? But take action on this and do it because if you want to change your life, it's as simple as starting here. So that's what I would challenge the listeners in the audience today because I think there's so much value in what we're doing. But again, without that action piece, it doesn't happen, right?
I'm going to throw in here a little bit of tough love. Don't be freaking lazy on this. Right? There's so many people right now that I can guarantee are listening, saying, Holy shit, this is awesome. I'm going to do it. Actually do it. Carve out a little bit of time in your day. Make it a priority. Right? This is something that again, this is, it's a very, very powerful thing. Dude, a hundred percent. So take it seriously. Don't just be like, I'm going to give it a try. Or I'm going to think I'm going to do it. And then life comes up and you don't do it. Set time aside, wake up a little bit earlier. Let's stay at like, what
Okay, something that I like to do is I'll visualize while I'm taking a shower, right? I'm in there. Okay, I wash my body I'll stand in there for an extra five ten minutes and just visualize. Okay, you already have the time carved out Nobody unless you have little kids are bugging you right? So figure it out in rock and roll. So alright, let's pivot into some tips Right because again when we first started out visualizing our mind flood, you know, like there's all the things that people experience So let's go into some tips and tricks So the first thing that I hear a lot of is that I can't really quiet my mind
and focus on the thing that I want to focus on. So what temperate trick do you have for that? Well, first thing I would say is when you think about quieting your mind, people think that's complete silence 24 -7. So first off, I just want to break that expectation or the false setting of expectations. It's not going to ever be fully quiet. But what helped me out was I would focus on my breath, right? And I would listen to that.
Now, as I listen to my breath, I'll have thoughts come in, but I don't kick them out. I'm not like, get the fuck out. No, no, I should stop thinking because I'm making it worse. And what I would do is as these thoughts come in, I would be like, it's there. Back to my breath. And I would just focus on my breath. So as I would breathe in, I'm listening, listening. And as I breathe out, I'm listening, listening. And I'm focusing on my breath. And the reason you do that and the reason this has helped me out is because it became like a, it's like your common ground. You know where like, it's almost like the balloon is floating and you're catching the balloon again.
Right? So focusing on your breathing is like always catching the balloon and keeping it still. So my tip for anyone that struggles with, you know, the mind taken over, just, just go back and focus on your breathing. It doesn't have to be perfect. It's mindfulness, right? Because here's the truth. The first 10 minutes that you do this, it's going to be fucking hard as hell. And you might be able to quiet your mind for maybe 30 seconds, a minute, maybe. Okay. And then when you do this for a couple of weeks, now it's two minutes, right? And
After two years, now it's maybe four. It takes time with this. So the biggest key for me, and what I would tell people, is always go back to your breath. Focus on your breath.
in out and that's where I would start with that piece. What about you? Yeah, I'm going to take that same approach but expand it just a little bit. So what you're talking about there is your center, right? That's the terminology that gets used in like the yoga and the breathing, the breathwork world and the meditation world. So find your center, okay? That could be your breathing, okay? But even more detailed than that, it could be you focusing so intently on the warmness and the coolness of the air leaving your nostrils.
Right? Which I've always thought was weird, right? It's like, you can actually feel the coolness as you breathe it in and the warmness as you breathe it out. If you focus on it, you're good. Okay. That could be your belly rising or your shoulders rising when you breathe. Okay. It could also be something external. Okay. The hum of your refrigerator.
the kind of like drumming noise of traffic going past, right? Find a base. Yeah, find a base, find a center of some kind and just focus intently on it. Right. So again, I've been very open and honest about my struggle to get good quality of sleep. That's something that I used to do at night. And something else that I've actually recently tried from like almost like a meditation standpoint is I read something somewhere. You can't don't know how true it is because you can't believe everything that you read.
But it made sense and it was pretty cool and I've been trying it out. But it goes, this is a little bit spiritual, but the real name of Jesus is Yahweh. Right. And the idea behind that, what I read about was that your lung lungs, when you breathe in and breathe out, actually make that noise. Yahweh. Right. So you're literally breathing life when you breathe in and breathe out. So something that I was doing to try to help myself sleep and I've been using it from a meditation standpoint and visualization to find my center is when I breathe in, I think, yah. And when I breathe out, I think way. Right. Which has been really
cool and what that does for me is it gives me a rhythmic pattern to my breathing, right? And then I'm focused on my breathing, which now allows my thoughts to get very clear, right? So but again, the Dino's point, I want to just reiterate, if you get into a situation where you're like, all right, cool, I can't focus on this stuff, like, and I'm just focusing on my breathing now. That's normal. Perfectly okay. Right? You're going to have a breakthrough, maybe one of your visualizations is going to be mind blowing, like mine was, I think it was probably the third month I did it, where I actually felt my aura, like I could
and see it and feel it, like in my mind, around my body, it was wild. And then I had one not too long after that where I actually started seeing, if anybody's, Tom Hogue's probably listening, where you're gonna see some interdimensional beings in your mind and like you're gonna feel like you're present with them. I've had that happen, right? Again, that's a little bit deep. Yeah, it was pretty wild. But like, and the main thing there, and not to go too deep on this, but like when you raise your vibrational frequency, you have the ability to kind of elevate
to another level, so to speak. I don't want to get too deep on this, but that's not always the aim, right? For a while I tried to chase that, so I thought it was cool. It's like, that was a cool experience. I want to recreate it, but it's not the aim. The aim is to get into a place where you can see little blips of what you want to be in your future. So take the rhythm of the approach, focus on your center, and then understand that, hey, if you're not like being able to do this or it doesn't go full 10 minutes like Dino said, that's perfectly normal. It's okay. Just keep attacking the process. 100%. Another thing I think people struggle
with is the actual picturing and the visualization piece. What tips do you have for someone who might struggle to paint that picture or get clear on the sensory pieces? Yeah, so if you are having a hard time picturing what you want, right? So again, it just comes down to knowing what you want. Step back out of it and create a contrast list, right? I think going into visualization, that is a first thing that you need to do. You got to figure out what do I actually want? Who do I want to become? What does that look like? What does it feel like?
Because if you don't know what that looks like on paper, it's really hard to picture it in your mind. 100%. Right? It's hard to create the movie to your point. Very similarly, the house that I visualize, that I walk across my garden, step across on the cobblestone, up onto the brick walkway, walk up to the wooden door, open the door, I walk in, I can see where the living room's laid out, the pillar's kitchen. I wouldn't be able to visualize that if I don't have a picture of what it is. Correct. Right? So do your homework on this. Do your research, right? To Dino's point, picture it in extreme detail.
What is the wood grain on the door handle look like or on the door? Right? What color are the cobblestones? What kind of rhododendrons are out front? Right? So you have to understand this. And again, this is not like you have to have a complete detailed picture of what you want before you start visualizing. But if the more detail you have on what you want or who you want to become or what it feels like to be that person, the easier it's going to be when you close your eyes and start picturing it. Thousand percent. That is literally what I would say as well. The only other piece I would add to this for someone at the very
Excuse me, thank you. For someone at the very basic of maybe struggling to picture, well maybe they have an idea of what they want but they don't know how to get clear on the idea or be able to visualize the picture, start small. Start with something like picture yourself holding a banana and peeling the banana. And again, this is for basic if you struggle to paint any pictures.
Literally just grab something like a banana, pretend like you're opening your door. What color is your door? How does it feel? And get clear on maybe some of those small things and then take it progression steps, right? Like even, Hey, you might not have the perfect house or you might not know exactly what's in there. At least figure out the door. Once you figure out the door. All right. What's the next step? All right. Let's figure out the mat. Once you figure out the mat, okay. What's the living room look like? And so on and so forth. Yeah. Yeah. And again, it doesn't have to be a movie right out of the gate. Right. Picture the thing, right? The progression that I followed was I pictured the thing.
I visualized, I had the vision board, right, still sitting at my desk right now. And I would picture the Bronco. I would look at it in detail with my eyes open, I would close my eyes and I would picture it. Okay, all right, now when I get to the wheel, I'm a little bit fuzzy on what the wheel looks like. Open my eyes, look at the picture. All right, cool, now I got it. It's got, you know, it's a BF Goodrich huge 40 inch wheel. Boom, close my eyes, I'm picturing it again. Okay, so that's how you do it early on. Okay, then you progress that to, okay, I don't have to open my eyes, I'm good. I can picture that whole bad boy in detail. Still don't really understand.
with the back end of it looks like, but that's okay. I'm picturing this in detail. And then you just take small progressions from there, adding in different senses. You can add in movement, right? I didn't add in sound to my visualizations for a really long time, right? Cause like, I don't really know what is it supposed to sound like. But it is an important thing down the line. So be very progressive with it and take it one step at a time. It's very similar to what we teach people with nutrition, with tracking their food. Like, hey, here's the big picture of where you're going. Here's the four things you really need to do to see the success. But let's just start focusing on tracking our food and putting it into the app first.
bit more protein through the day. So it's step by step. You got to start small. Another piece with this where I think, not I think, I know people will struggle with this and I've the people that I've got to lead throughout my time here. One of the pieces when we go through visualization, one of the struggles is people try to figure out the how they're going to get to that piece. Right. Because, you know, when you think about the perfect view of what you want and who you want to become, we think about that. But then where our mind goes is how do we get there? Okay. Now I know this
contrary to a lot of, you know, goal setting stuff where it's like, hey, you kind of have to have an idea, a plan of what you're going to do every single day to get there, blah, blah, blah. Okay. When you visualize, just visualize the end piece. What I mean by that is visualize who you'll become and what you're going to have, what your life looks like. Don't worry about the how.
In this moment in time when you guys visualize this, and this is actually the fun part of this, is you don't need to know the how. The how is gonna take care of itself, but you have to view the end goal and it has to be real, right? So here's the fun part about visualization and just to remove this piece for a lot of people, because this is where I think a lot of people get stuck, is the how piece. Brother, I don't even know how I'm gonna get to the end of my goals. I don't know how.
I don't need to, I will let life play it out as long as I continue to focus on this. But that's how visualization works. When you can just picture the end and see it clear, the middle piece kind of takes care of itself. It's almost like all this fog in here that you don't know, you don't need to know. You just gotta know the ends over here and just keep moving. It'll take care of itself. So I wanna remove that for a lot of people is when you visualize, visualize that perfect person, visualize that perfect life, but don't visualize the how and don't get stuck on the how.
just know that it'll happen. What's it look like when it does? That's the piece with visualization that I kind of just want to touch on because I think a lot of people again get stuck on the how.
And dude, that takes up everything, right? When you get stuck on the how, it's such a big timeframe, right? Cause you're thinking 10 years, how do I get there in 10 years? Don't worry about that. What does a 10 year mark look like? Worry about that piece. I think honestly, even there again, more tough love coming is that a lot of people will make that as an excuse onto why they're not doing this. Right. Right. So I'm so glad that you said that, but they'll position that as like, I don't really know how I'm going to do it. So I'm not going to do it right. Or the how doesn't present itself. It's literally understanding through faith that like you're just going to continue
progressing forward, right? Because again, I didn't have a how.
of how I was gonna work at First Form. I visualize it every single day in extreme detail. I raise my vibrational frequency on everything and here I am. Boom, just like that. It's called the law of attraction. You will attract things to you that give you the opportunity to step through and to create the life that you actually want. 100%. Only if you're visualizing it and know for a fact that you want it. 1000%. Yeah. And the last piece I'm gonna add on to this, a lot of times, and this goes to our conversation with subconsciousness,
But pay attention when you hear us talk about this. If you don't believe it or your mind's going to, it's not going to work for me. Or, I don't know if I believe this. Is that really you or is it your subconscious? And it's most likely your subconscious, but think about why. Do you not believe that you're good enough? Do you believe that you're not able to do these things? Because at the end of the day, it might not be that you think this is dumb or you're just like, I don't think this is for me.
It is for you, it's get clear on why you're not wanting to do it. Because at the end of the day, this is one of those keys. And if you listen to a lot of the people in this world who have done amazing things, right? A lot of them talk about visualization. So why is it that we still look at this as some kind of crazy thing or it's a brand new thing or it doesn't work?
It's because of us. It's because we don't believe in ourselves. It's because there's some underlying subconscious thought that goes on that we're not paying attention to that's telling us this is not for us. It is for you. So just another piece I want to touch on before we wrap it up. Yeah, again, it comes back to what we said at the beginning. You're leaning on past experiences, right? And again, I'll say it one more time. It's my favorite thing to say these days is you get to attach whatever meaning you want to past experiences.
Right. Any experience, any, anything that happened last year, anything that happened 20 years ago, anything that happened 10 minutes ago, you get to attach a meaning to it. Right. So it's an extremely important thing. One thing I want to hit on again, and not to go spiritual or religious with this, but this is something that I think is important because it's something as a Christian that I struggle with a little bit early on when it came to visualization and manifestation, because as a Christian, you're taught to like, Hey, like God's in control. It's God's going to take care of you. Okay. One thing I'll say with this is that my experience is that
the energy and all these different things that is God, right? Is how I look at it, right? But there is a Bible verse that says about this and it proves a specific point of what we're talking about. Okay. It's a Mark 11 24. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. It's not saying that whatever you ask in prayer, believe that it's going to be received. So you have received it. You've already received it. Right? So this is Jesus's words in the Bible, right? Or Yahweh's words, however you want to look at it.
But again, it comes down to the importance of acting as if it's already yours. You already have whatever life that you want.
just go live it out. That was right. Continue operating on that vibrational frequency and it's yours. It goes back to what we talked about two podcasts ago. If you were to win the lottery and you have $20 million in your bank account and it just hasn't hit your account yet because it's waiting to clear, it's going to take a week. Right? How are you acting? How are you living? How are you walking around for that week? Right? You're thinking about all the amazing things you're going to do with that money. The charities you're going to donate to, the house you're going to be able to buy, all the debt you're going to be able to pay off for your family members and friends. The 20 million, you know, me and Dino pie split it.
Two ways I give him ten. Yeah, my guy, but you're living and acting as if because you already have it It's just not in your bank account yet. Right? So that is the same thought that you want to take into every single component of your life Right the confidence. I already have it right the the belief in myself. I already have it I have the belief right now Here's the deal going back to the tools that the enemy will use the guys Are you starting to see a rhythm with the podcast episodes and how this works? But the tools that the enemy will use to keep you from achieving those things that
is always present. So again, identity, gratitude, raising your vibrational frequency and understanding that you are the creator and it's just up to you to create. Don't be a lazy ass with it. Get out there and do it. And it's that simple? Yeah. It's that simple. And creating is literally just doing. Yeah. It's small. It's not anything big. Here's a great example to, and I think a lot of us can relate to this, but to your example of acting as if, how many people in our lives do we know that
used to just walk around with confidence and just walk around with this like swagger and I'm not it's now usually people think it's like this cocky person but it's not we have those people in our lives that are just very confident in themselves and they might not have anything yet right they might not have the life or whatever
But if you circle back and think about them in high school or whatever, and think about where they're at now, you can almost be like, that makes sense. But it's why, because they never had that 10 years ago. So how do they have it now? Well, it's because they carry themselves as if, and the more you do that, and when you carry yourself a certain way before you even have those things, that is how you become that person. So I love that you touch on that because that's a big piece. And at the end of the day, man, we could talk about like, you know, the tips and struggles and challenges and give you ways to go about it. But to,
Josh's point of tough love, it's you just gotta fucking do it, man. You can't let those excuses take over because at the end of the day, you are in control. You're always in control. It doesn't have to be perfect, but you have to try. And if you don't try, you'll never do. And if you never do, you'll never win. And if you never win, your life's gonna stay the same. So it's kind of where we're at. Man, that is a great way to end it right there. It's a couple of mic drops, guys. All right, couple books.
top book that I'm going to recommend. Okay. It's actually funny.
Got a message this morning. Super early, actually. I'm not going to read it verbatim, but I got a message from a guy named Chris that listens to the show. He's on Barry Peel's team. He's a great dude. And he talked about how it is a gratitude message. And this is actually two in two days that I got of people sending gratitude our way, which is really cool. It's not something I'm asking you to do guys, but it is really cool to see that people are taking what we're talking about in the podcast and applying it. So the book I want to recommend is going to be, Don't Believe Everything That You Think.
because Chris dove into that book and he said he was reading it based on the podcast recommendation we had a little while back. And he's like, dude, it's freaking blowing my mind, right? Which is really, really good. And I think as you're embarking on your visualization journey, it's a great book to read because that book talks about like, hey, thought is actually the act of actually thinking is what causes us most of our struggles and problems in life. And it goes into a really, really cool theory and not really theory, but a real cool explanation as to how. But he talked about his girlfriend was sitting next to him and she just kind of glanced over
ever read a page of it and it blew her mind. Just that one page. That's a phenomenal book as you're embarking on on your path to visualization is again, our goal here guys is to reprogram the subconscious mind. That book does a good job of understanding and connecting how thoughts keeps us from moving forward. So very, very good book if you haven't read it. Yeah, I actually I don't have any I don't want to throw too much on anyone's plate. I like that. I think that book is a phenomenal book to go with. The only other thing that I would say is
is take time to really get clear on who you want to be, right? Like journal it out. And that would be my first step to all this is, is write it down, not just think it, not just think about it as you're driving, like actually take time to write everything down because at the end of the day, that's going to be key, right? When you can write those things down and you can see it every single day, it'll help always bring you back to, okay, hey, cool, I got to remember to do this. So that would kind of be my last thing. But dude, I love that. I love that. It's crazy what a book can do for you if you...
Truly just apply some of those things that are in those books because at the end of the day a book is just a book unless you actually use the lesson that you're learning. 100%. One thing I'll add to what Dino just said is so valuable what he just said guys attach a why to it as well. Why do you why do you want to be that person? Because that's what's going to keep you driving when the enemy does come after you. It's going to be what keeps you driving when you're you know two months into visualization and you're like man I still haven't perfected this. Correct. So attach the why to it and understand again this isn't foo foo crazy stuff. You literally get to create the life that you want by doing these things.
And this is just a foundational component of it. So guys, we love you. We appreciate you. Once again, as always, if you found value in the show, share the show. I just thinking through this as we walk through it, I think this is an extremely valuable episode. We do this just to be able to help people become the best version of themselves and get into that track. So if you know anybody out there that needs to hear it, please share it. Other than that, talk to you next time. Sounds good. We love you guys and peace.
