We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.
What is up, everyone?
We got lots to talk about.
Let's go.
From the gym to the screen, yeah,
we cover it all.
Midday motivation every time you press
call.
Lunch with the Clydesdale.
Cowboy bring the heat.
Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.
Half hour hustle, yeah,
we building that brand.
Grab a plate, tune in now,
you part of the fam.
It's lunch time.
What is going on, everybody?
Welcome.
It's a lunch with the Clydesdale and the
cowboy.
That's us.
And we are back second time this week.
Dude,
I feel like I've been on the air
nonstop for a week.
And you know what's crazy?
You haven't been.
like you did some shows don't get me
wrong like i mean we went live was
that saturday or was that friday i
remember dude i've been on every day yeah
every day and the glintons except for
monday except for monday yeah which to be
fair you took the red eye home right
i did yeah so i wouldn't have expected
in uh and look when you texted me
and said no show today i was like
oh yeah no no show today like i
wasn't planning on it anyway i got home
I got up at three.
I was on the plane, six, fifteen.
I got home.
My second plane was a little delayed.
And then so I probably got back to
my house at like twelve thirty,
regardless my time.
So like one thirty your time.
No, I left Green Earth.
I left midnight thirty out of San
Francisco and I got home at eleven a.m.
Eastern Time.
And then I couldn't sleep.
Oh, I guess not.
So I went to bed Monday night,
got up, did work yesterday,
did the show at noon.
Then Carolyn's like, well,
I can do nine o'clock tonight.
I'm like, nine o'clock?
That's after my bedtime.
If you didn't watch last night's show...
I need to.
Jamie lost her shit last night.
Really?
I find that so hard to believe.
She's usually so calm and level-headed.
She went off last night.
Toledo said,
thoroughly enjoyed Jamie's bit.
Should I take a guess?
The only thing I'm upset about,
she didn't warn me.
I didn't get to hit the riff alert
for her.
because there was a point where i was
like do i even need to be here
right yeah i'll just look like just hand
over the reins let her go just sit
back go ahead you just go ahead and
do what you got to do there friend
like carolyn's eyes got like this big um
mark phillips she speaks for the people
Yeah.
She, it was great stuff.
Yeah.
She,
she did not hold back last night at
all.
And people have said like, Oh,
I know that she never holds back.
Oh, she does.
Yeah.
You guys only knew how much she holds
back last night.
All the, all the handcuffs were gone.
Good for her dude.
Like let it out.
Say what you got to say.
What's create?
I'm not, I'm not getting into that today.
Nevermind.
I'm just going with that pass.
I need to go back and look.
I need to go back and look.
Yeah.
Tristan knows.
Look.
Oh, she holds back.
Yeah.
If you know Jamie personally,
what she says on air is held back
version of reality.
She has a, she has a,
what's the word I'm looking for?
Decorum.
On air.
On air.
If you talk to her, like,
I got her phone number.
I heard I have texted because you don't
call her.
Don't call Jane.
She will not answer.
She's not going to answer the phone.
Someone better be dying.
Yeah.
Somebody.
Yeah.
Are you on fire?
Like,
that's going to be probably what she's
going to answer.
But anyway, yeah, she does not hold back.
Her and I have had several different
conversations going back and forth via
text.
She's not scared to tell you what she
thinks.
No.
But anyway,
if you want to see her just lose
her mind, last night's show was it.
And she,
and Mark says she's speaking for the
people and truly like she was like,
if just so you guys know,
there were a lot of masters athletes that
wanted her to speak out.
Yeah.
And so last night was taking all of
that.
on for the masters community and kind of
let it go good i am going to
go watch that as soon as we get
done so um before we have you too
much you got we got a time stamp
on that somewhere i mean is it like
five minutes in is it twenty minutes in
is it well the first the first half
of the show is masters and it's like
a week so it opens up with us
celebrating um
carolyn yes celebrating carolyn sorry i'm
trying to read the comments and do this
show at the same time and sometimes the
brain just stops i understand um it starts
with celebrating carolyn and her and her
win and updating people on jamie's arm and
she kept showing the cut with the flex
yeah hundred percent and then we get in
look at that cut on my arm about
the masters games first yep
And then the shit sandwich came out after.
I'm excited.
And so that was before any of the
elite talk.
It was so it's not far in.
Good.
Perfect.
Andrew Sten says the whole show, Corey.
You got it.
He was trying to defend legends last night
as he should as being a part of
legends.
And I respect that.
But it doesn't mean I have to agree
with everything.
Meg is dogging my shirt again.
But speaking of shirts,
speaking of shirts, we have them for sale.
Ba-bam.
Look at that lovely graphic made by Vicky.
She did a fantastic job, dude.
That looks sharp.
So there's the shirt.
There's Cash App and Venmo options.
Go ahead and use those to pay the
thirty two dollars.
That includes shipping if you're in the
United States and handling and handling.
But please, in the in the memo,
state your name,
your address and your size.
That would help.
And then I know what shirt to put
in the bag to ship it to you.
Unless you just want to give us thirty
two dollars.
In which case, that's fine, too.
The Venmo and cash app open for any
kind of donations.
It kind of doesn't does not absolutely
does not matter.
But if you want a shirt,
just tell me your size,
your address and your name.
If you send if you if you just
Venmo or cash app,
thirty two dollars that that circumvents
the.
The YouTube.
whatever handling fee you know so as far
as that goes uh your super chat so
if you want to just send us money
cool however if you actually want a shirt
put all that information in in there
please so i can get it get them
out to you um yeah thank you meg
for the segue of course but speaking of
the bears the bears uh one the highlight
from the weekend that i did not get
to talk about
is you know tyson bajan signed a football
had jason hopper signed the football and
then he chucked it into the crowd i
did not know that that's awesome and yeah
because they didn't televise the opening
ceremonies yeah i'm well aware huge miss
huge miss right yeah um tyson when he
threw it into the crowd he could have
went first couple rows right
He could have went lower bowl.
He could have went loge box.
Nah.
That dude chucked it from mid-ice,
where it would be in the SAP Center,
to the upper deck.
Let's go.
It's a ten million dollar arm right there,
baby.
That's my guy.
That's my guy.
That's a ten million dollar arm.
He ain't about to just,
he's not about to half-ass it.
Like, he's a professional.
He'll do some professional type stuff.
It was an impressive throw, man.
Like,
I've seen a lot of people chuck a
ball and do that.
It was impressive.
And so, what Shannon's saying right there,
like, glad he went far back.
Those people don't get much swag thrown at
them.
No, because most people can't.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Even if you have a taco cannon, right?
T-shirt cannon people,
like even the people in the upper deck,
you just kind of sitting there just hoping
that maybe they'll think about looking up
instead of just at the stuff right there
in front of them, you know,
at any sporting event, much less the game.
So good on him for saying,
you know what?
Watch this.
We're going to let these people in the
upper deck fight about this football.
Yeah, it was awesome.
Shannon's right.
was cool that someone in the upper deck
got got the ball big fan uh i
agree joseph not showing greg in the
hopper was a big miss for crossfit uh
that was full circle moment that was
missed and you didn't get to see any
sakamoto and her daughter pull the balls
out you didn't get to see uh the
legends the champions introduced man i got
katie henniger looks like she's been
working out again
She looks like she's about to sign up
for the Masters division.
Oh, if she does,
everybody that's in her age group should
be frightened.
Well, especially if they put a row.
Because she tested all the rowers.
I think Joseph said he asked her if
she did a thousand on all of them
again.
She's like, no, just a hundred this time.
Yeah.
Well, just so you know,
I did take video of the hopper.
So I do have it.
Maybe tomorrow I could put it up and
you guys could see what went down.
I don't think it breaks any broadcasting
agreement because I'm not live streaming
it.
I don't see where it would be a
problem at this point.
Worst you're going to get is a C&D.
How dare you put up a picture of
Greg in a giant hopper.
Katie is a unit.
Katie's always been a unit.
Again, I live in Columbus, her hometown,
where she was a superstar with the Ohio
State University.
Her jersey is hanging in the rafters at
the Schottenstein Center.
It is what it is.
Outstanding.
We may show you some tonight,
but you'll have to tune in and see.
Look at Joseph Ramirez turning Mr.
Media guy with the teaser.
Look, he's out there taking pictures.
He's executive producer for the Glitten
Things podcast, putting out that teaser.
We may show you something tonight,
but you'll have to tune in.
We may not, too,
but the only way you'll really know
As if you tune in.
Hey, five-thirty Eastern,
four-thirty Central Time,
Glint and Things podcast on the Glint and
Things channel.
Go check it out.
I love the Glint and Things podcast.
I love being their friend now.
Every time I go on there,
we laugh more than we do anything else.
It's so much fun.
I love everything about it except for it's
start time is my dinner time with my
wife.
So it's start time is usually when I'm
just about to leave here.
So like if I want to jump on,
so I can listen, right?
I'll put it on in a Jeep and
just have it playing.
I'll listen to it on the way either
to the gym or back to the house.
But if I want to jump on with
them,
like now I'm in the Jeep and my
sound has been notoriously terrible while
it's in there.
So it always sucks because it's,
but I mean, it is what it is.
then i'll watch it as i'm getting ready
for bed and then i want to comment
but i can't because it's memorex but you
can always leave a comment for the
algorithm i could but anyway i digress um
Yesterday we talked a ton about Amy
Kringle and her dominating performance,
and I felt like we left James Sprague
out a bit.
We kind of skipped right over James.
So I wanted to just give some flowers
to James Sprague and the performance he
put on this weekend as well.
Going into the games,
there were people predicting that the
leaders' jersey was going to change
multiple times through the weekend.
Yeah.
That did not happen.
No.
James got out to a lead,
and then he never had a big hole.
Just like Amy,
never had a big hole that allowed people
back in the race.
And by the end of the weekend,
Dallin was the only person that even had
a shot remotely to compete with him.
Yeah, but in the race,
it was a two-horse race.
Just him and Dallin.
And the storyline that came from that
with...
James and Dallin being coached by the same
coach under the same camp best friends
friends for a long time podcasters
together really was a cool storyline yeah
I like the you know
Dallin still cheering for James,
kind of egging him on after he got
done with the echo press thing.
Like, you don't get that in other sports,
right?
Like, it just doesn't happen.
If you're a wide receiver for the Bears
and you're playing the Vikings,
you're not on the sidelines while the
defense is up there and be like, oh,
we're doing really good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's just not a thing that happens, man.
So, yeah.
it's fun to be able to see stuff
like that um james put on a hell
of a performance right and we never said
it the whole asterisk thing but like if
you needed more proof that he is the
real deal he just won again in addition
to getting on the podium last year can
i address the asterisk thing again please
please asterisks are stupid i agree so
I was on with the Glintons and Jeremy
was trying to talk to me about Asterix,
right?
Yeah.
You are given a test.
You complete the test and you are the
winner or the loser for that year.
right?
It doesn't matter what the test doesn't
matter about anything else that happened.
You overcame whatever was thrown at you.
A man died.
Yeah.
That threw a factor into who was going
to win that.
And they had to overcome other things in
addition to just the workouts and things
like that.
So I don't think it deserves an asterisk.
Now, if you're talking legacy,
In your mind, you can factor in, well,
twenty twenty four didn't have a full
field in twenty twenty four, blah, blah,
blah.
I'm OK with that as a debate for
legacy in all time.
But the season itself shouldn't be given
an asterisk.
The man overcame everything that he had to
to win the games in that season.
Yeah.
He still,
he still was the best out of the
field, regardless of who stepped down,
who left, who didn't stay, whatever,
whatever tests were pulled out of,
out of the rest of it does not
matter.
He still came out on top.
If you want to go look at it
and you want to say, well, you know,
they didn't do this workout and he didn't
do this workout and they had a big
long break and whatnot.
Well,
if the games would have been what they
ended up doing instead of what was
actually supposed to be programmed and he
still came out on top and
Like, it does not matter.
The man won.
Yeah, I agree, dude.
The whole asterisk thing is absolutely
insane.
Sure, you want to go look at it,
you can go say, well, you know,
in twenty-four, Bullfield wasn't there.
Hey, bro, in twenty-twenty,
there was only five people there in
person.
Everybody else had to do the online thing
just to be able to get a chance
to go to do it in person.
You're going to put an asterisk by Fraser.
He had enough points to win first, second,
and third.
But you're going to put an asterisk by
that as well?
I think that's silly.
So I don't know if you heard this,
but I guess Mike Halpin put out a
post that said that if all the events
were a hundred points,
Dallin would have won.
Yeah, congratulations.
You know what?
If my aunt had a wheel.
They weren't.
Yeah, a hundred percent.
If my aunt had wheels,
she'd be a bicycle.
Like, who cares, dude?
Like, it's not, we can do the if,
and, and, oh, well, maybe, sort of,
kind of, all day long.
It does not matter.
They weren't.
They weren't all the hundred points.
So if next year,
if we do the same thing and we
have fifty point scores and we have a
twenty five point score and whatnot and
Dallin wins and then, oh, well,
if they'd all been worth a hundred points,
then James would have won.
But they weren't like those.
It's a ludicrous thing.
It really, really is.
At AI,
I don't think Amy has an asterisk by
her name because Tia wasn't there.
Exactly.
Tia won that year in twenty four.
Vicky saying no one put one on her
name saying, well, Laura would drew.
So she's not.
Yeah, she.
We have typos here.
So she didn't have the same competition.
Yeah, that's absolutely insane.
No, sports always have hypotheticals.
It means you made it.
Yeah.
Baseball people are the worst.
FYI.
Stats and hypotheticals and if-ands and
what, man, this guy just hits this ball.
Well, he didn't.
This guy just makes this catch.
No, he didn't.
Well, baseball started the asterisks.
I don't know if you know the history
of this,
but when Roger Maris beat Babe Ruth's
single-season home run record in the game,
he had four more games to do it
or five more games.
And so there was this big outcry that
we can't ruin the legacy of Babe Ruth
by allowing this man to have it.
So they literally put an asterisk in the
record book about him winning the home run
title that year.
Now, last time I checked,
has Babe Ruth been diminished at all in
his accomplishments in baseball?
Is anybody out there going?
I mean,
he's dead a hundred years and we're still
talking about him.
Right.
A hundred percent, dude.
A hundred percent.
A hundred percent.
If somebody, they won't ever do it.
Go ahead.
I think it proves that not only does
programming matter,
but the point system also matters.
But, Shan,
I think what I'm trying to say is
the test is going to be different every
single year.
And there are factors that are going to
determine who wins that test.
When you win that year,
you are the champion,
regardless of all of that.
Yeah.
Oh,
we had an obstacle course race one year
and then we didn't the next year.
Oh,
Matt's win is invalid that year because he
didn't do the obstacle course.
Like, no, it makes no sense whatsoever.
You won yesterday morning.
Excuse me.
uh james was on with savan they were
supposed to do the the weekend review of
the weekend review or review the weekend
review you know they they just were
talking about it he was asking him about
you know events blah blah whatever and
james said the same thing i do as
far as competitions are concerned if i
show up to something the test is what
the test is i might not like it
very much but i'm gonna get out there
and do it to the best of my
ability i might have my own feelings about
it but i'm still gonna show up and
do it because that's what the test is
that's what they've laid out in front of
us
So to say that one season is better
than the other and it's more valid because
of this blah, blah, blah,
whatever is absolutely silly because it
changes every single time.
I have never been to a comp after
going to a different comp and be like,
you know,
and had the exact same workouts in,
in two separate things.
It just doesn't happen.
That open changes every single year for
the same reason.
Right.
Now, don't get me wrong.
The changes in programming and the changes
in points,
I see Meredith's thing about what should
have been a fifty,
what should have been a hundred.
It's okay to talk about that stuff,
but it shouldn't diminish who the champion
is.
That's my point.
It's okay to have these conversations
about what should have been,
what were those assessed the right number
of points,
was the programming balanced enough.
Yeah.
all those things are fine but it shouldn't
diminish who won the test for that year
no it that that's the people well if
it would happen was saying well if
everything would have been worth a hundred
points and dylan would have won yeah well
it wasn't so he didn't he came inside
uh sprague just has haters weird because
he had never said a negative thing about
anyone
You either love James Sprague or you are
wrong.
I'm sorry.
Actually, I'm not sorry.
He is a giant freaking puppy dog, dude.
He's a really nice guy.
He works his ass off to get as
fit as he does.
He has covered up every hole that he
has.
He is a man of God,
and he loves on everybody that he runs
across.
so i will tell you being there live
in the weekend right i love james spring
i love everything about him yeah it got
to a point where i was rooting for
dylan sure and i wanted him to get
the win right i'm tired of like everybody
dogging him because he's the only boys
interrupted without a title
An adult title.
An adult title, yeah.
I also got to interview Dallin when he
was twenty years old at the West Coast
Classic,
and he was so kind to come over
and talk to me during the event, right?
So that always is going to hold a
special place in my heart.
But I picked James to win.
Before the weekend started,
I named James as my pick to win.
But man, as the weekend went on,
and it was so right there for Dallin
to get...
But every time Dallin won an event,
James only was one or two places behind.
They're so close, dude.
And if James won,
Dallin was four or five places behind.
So Dallin just couldn't make up any ground
at all.
I mean, that's what Chase was saying,
dude.
Like,
Dallin sold out to win the echo thruster,
right?
And could not recover in time.
Like,
his first box jump on the second part
of that workout would look like me trying
to do it fresh.
Like, it just did not look good.
Well,
just like Pat Vellner falling off
something,
Dallin Pepper's going to miss a box jump.
Yeah, a hundred percent.
It's just...
It is one of those known things that
are going to happen in a competition.
A hundred percent.
Wow.
Dallin hurt his ankle during event two and
had problems walking on Thursday.
I understand.
But this is for KDL.
That is sports.
That is sports.
KDL thinks I should make a t-shirt that
says, that is sports.
I mean... I do say it a lot,
I guess.
Well, it's true, though.
I mean,
Bo Jackson dislocated his hip trying to
pull it out from a tackle and ended
his career.
For all intents and purposes,
he would have been the best,
or was the best two-sport athlete probably
in history.
And it's sports.
It happened.
He didn't mean for it to happen.
He didn't want it to happen.
Now we go.
Yay, sports.
Sportball.
So I am in casual conversation with
Garrett Glinton about doing a sports show
that is not CrossFit.
I'm in.
Colleen is like,
someone please talk to her about sports.
And then we were saying, yay, sports.
And so Colleen's got to do the intro
to the whole thing about like, yay,
sports,
because she wants nothing to do with it.
It's got to be like a couple of
highlight clips,
like Kobe dunking a basketball,
somebody catching a touchdown,
somebody hitting a baseball.
You know what I'm saying?
Just like a bunch of rapid fire things.
And then Colleen just going, yay, sports,
because she has absolutely no idea what's
going on with sports and doesn't care.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't want to go too long because
we, I've miserable.
Hey,
I don't know if I've ever said this
before, but I really hate my job.
I don't think you've even, that's news.
Honestly, I really didn't know.
The vendor we're working with right now,
their building is basically on fire.
They've been sold twice in the last six
months.
And trying to get them to do anything,
like I have to go in the burning
building to talk to them
And it is coming to a head today.
Oh, Meredith, that's cute.
Colleen,
please someone give her an outlet so I
don't have to hear about it.
I think that's pretty much it.
Pretty much.
Yeah.
I'll send stuff in one of the group
chats or whatnot.
There was one with just me, Garrett,
and Colleen,
and I'd send it mostly for Garrett's Kobe
Bryant highlights from back in the day and
whatnot.
We'd be talking about basketball,
and Colleen would just be sitting there
like,
can we talk about literally anything else?
And no one but you notices the fire.
Yeah, pretty much, Kenneth.
That is my life right now.
Yeah, it sucks, dude.
Absolutely sucks.
A couple big things I wanted to talk
about.
I don't know if you guys...
Let's talk about this first.
Dave's Week in Review.
Did you watch it?
No, I did not have a chance to.
I was busy all afternoon yesterday.
so he basically is just talking about the
games and it being over and i'm glad
being it's it's over because and i can
only imagine the dopamine flush that
happens to him when it's over like all
ramped up and ready to go right basically
though in the last thirty seconds of his
week in review he says i don't think
we're ever gonna do the thursday off thing
again or for a while
But we may do a Thursday night start
to the games into a Friday, Saturday,
Sunday.
And yes,
I'm talking about that because I'm already
thinking about next year.
Of course he is.
So all the talk,
is this Dave's final year?
I think not.
I'm going to go ahead.
Well, I'd say probably not.
And two,
I like that idea of like a prime
time start.
yeah i like that a lot especially if
we can get it a venue where i
hate to keep bringing it back but like
somewhere where we can get under the
lights outdoors at night on a thursday
night to start off with like i think
that would be pretty epic yep
um so someone asked colleen to sing smelly
cat and colleen says not with this voice
right now if you actually watch friends
phoebe liked a sexy voice when she was
sick i do remember that and it had
a whole different version of smelly cat so
i don't think that's an excuse colleen
make it happen colleen
It's also confirmation,
going back to what we were talking about,
it's also confirmation that there,
in fact, will be a Games next year,
which some people were also speculating
that maybe this is going to be the
end of it.
That's it.
No more.
Okay, so that's not a thing either.
I would like to remind everybody that
unless you have children that you need to
watch something on Flow Sports,
to go ahead and at least pause your
subscription.
If not,
go ahead and turn it all the way
off.
This has been a public service
announcement.
i don't watch friends never seen it i
will send you the video don't worry oh
my gosh i've i've seen every episode at
least i haven't seen it at least ten
times i've seen more than i want to
put it like that i'll put it to
you so i own the dvd set for
a while all ten seasons yeah like i
know what smelly cat is and i know
who chenandler bong is chenandler yeah
um i'm with meg i'm not sure how
or why we are friends uh all right
so something definitely felt like he
confirmed he's back next year programming
and it's twelve to fourteen events he
didn't kind of say that so like a
normal games yeah i really like the twenty
events
It kept you busy.
It did.
It did.
It kept you busy.
Just trying to keep up with everything
over the course of the weekend would have
definitely kept you busy.
So as far as that goes.
How many events?
Because I only got to see maybe three
and not even three full things,
mostly just highlights.
Any idea how many events the teams had?
know nobody cares about teams but me
because i have friends on the team but
i watched a lot of them but i
don't know the count i mean i was
in the arena for a lot of it
yeah uh they had three on sunday they
had two the thursday andrew's saying
twelve twelve okay yeah i would have got
there eventually yeah and then he he
throws in the i think at the end
yeah just in case i missed one twelve
maybe something along those lines
Um, one of the other things, um,
I forget.
Oh, I saw this on Instagram.
Patrick Clark was asking Brian friend.
Do you think Ariel Lowen is the greatest
American CrossFitter of all time?
but i want to pose this to you
because they did that question i actually
asked ariel that question a year and a
half ago asked her personally if she
thought she was the greatest american
crusader i'm sure she should though and
she said she was just happy to be
part of the conversation right right but i
think the more interesting question is why
do the u.s women suck at crossfit
because and i'm saying that like no no
i get it because i i said to
carolyn and jamie this morning i bet you
i can name ten women better than a
u.s athlete yeah and just off the top
of my head i got to ten
right it's not hard dude it's not hard
i mean you just start with tia and
then the two doubles of katrin and annie
um the last american champion was kristen
clever and clever in so then you just
take the champs like um sam briggs uh
camille leblanc besnay laura horvat
You throw in a Sarah Sigmundsdottir
multiple-time podium winner.
Emma Lawson's a multi-time podium winner,
and she's twenty-one years old.
Then Amy Kringle's already won,
and it's not going to take much more
to get past a U.S.
athlete.
No, because, I mean,
look at the podium this year.
Amy Kringle, Emma Lawson, and...
lucy campbell and lucinda yeah lucy
campbell's probably better than any
american athlete at this point oh yeah i
had lucy winning no i'm sorry i had
alex winning i had lucy in second but
still i mean it's pretty easy to get
to ten before you get to a u.s
female and then on the men's side it's
the exact opposite yeah
A hundred percent top five, top five,
like not counting the podium, but yeah,
top five, top seven.
I mean, and most of them are,
what's even crazier to think about is most
of those guys are brute athletes.
Yeah.
Americans and all of the top, but yes,
no, the, well, the podium, the,
the top four,
the two top men and the two top
women are all brute athletes.
Yeah.
Good God.
Meg O'Brien.
Mal O'Brien was our great women's hope.
But part of, okay, here we go.
It's sports.
You have to last.
I would say both Mal O'Brien and Emma
Carey were the two great American hopes.
And neither one of them made it to
twenty-one.
No.
Last I saw Matt LeBron,
I was making coffee in Hawaii.
And I don't know.
Ariel Lowen would be in the top ten.
I just named you ten athletes that have
a better resume than Ariel Lowen.
Yeah.
And Ariel Lowen's been on the podium.
Once.
A third.
Once.
Terry Pierce.
Once.
A third.
A third.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Julie Fouché, twice.
Lindsay Valenzuela, once.
It doesn't look great.
Becca Voigt, once.
Once.
Because you can't count her Masters career
at that point.
We're just talking about at least at this
point.
Let's go ahead and get that out of
the way.
Brooke Wells never hit the podium.
No, she did not.
So...
Yeah,
there's a lot of athletes that have
podiumed.
But, I mean,
Sarah Sigmundsdottir took third twice.
I mean, I just shot, like,
all the great American hopes.
Hayley Adams.
Hayley Adams has never hit the podium.
Never hit the podium.
Alex Gazan has not hit the podium yet.
Alexis Raptus, also not on the podium.
Yeah.
good night olivia olivia is probably the
best hope yeah i mean one podium already
don't start that don't start that joseph
yeah we ain't talking about that um
Seema,
I actually like this comment because I
think it is a lot about this.
What you were describing is a fundamental
difference in country support of women.
No paid family leave, pink tax,
societal norms around American women.
She just went way over my head.
I have absolutely no idea what she was
talking about, but I believe her.
She seems to be pretty smart, so...
um a lot of american women athletes are
overrated folks conflate popularity with
capability uh he says well unable to do
ring muscle ups here's the thing though
dude like and i know it's recency bias
because she literally just won a couple
days ago like amy kringle was fixing to
be unbelievably popular
Lucy came second last year,
and she is unbelievable.
I feel like she's popular here.
She's popular in the community,
not just overseas.
People like her.
When she goes on podcasts, people tune in.
When they watch her videos,
they want to know more about her and
whatnot.
Before I came on here,
I was watching a Hiller video,
the new CrossFit game champion,
Amy Kringle.
Great video, by the way.
Yes, a hundred percent.
I can't believe he had the patience to
hold off on a lot of that content
and pull it out right after she won.
Well, he's on the spectrum,
so that's probably why.
But good on him, dude.
I'm sure, I mean,
obviously he had that at the ready,
ready to rock.
He probably did some final edits and
touches and put it out there.
And then you look on the men's side,
and since two thousand ten,
all the champions are U.S.
based except one.
that person's canadian so they're still on
the same kind of landmass he's canadian so
he's not that far from here he's just
right um we just need a healthy page
i think when or a healthy alex kazan
i mean i'm not saying that there aren't
u.s athletes that have the potential to
win
But man, looking at the history, man,
we have not fared well.
Yeah.
Yeah, Amy saved him from the Hiller curse.
A hundred percent.
Was Alex not healthy this year?
I don't know.
Tristan,
I'm just talking out my ass at this
point with it all.
She has a couple holes she needs to
sew up.
But yeah.
So the last thing I wanted to talk
about is,
I don't know if you guys saw this
come out this morning,
but Waterpalooza SoCal is looking at a
format change.
Here we go.
I don't know if you can see that.
Jim Reaper's Battle of the Camps.
I love the camps.
Look at Noah Olsen throwing it back.
My money's on the outlaw way.
Yes, sir.
Good job, Noah.
That's fantastic.
So I think Emily Rolfe actually has a
question that I have.
Can the individuals make up a camp that
aren't part,
like there's one camp that's the non-camp
camp.
yeah it's the camp of the misfit toys
not to be confused with misfits because
like carolyn privo's never been part of a
camp no emily rolf's not a part of
a camp ariel lowen's not a part of
a camp did you hear she trains in
her garage and she's the best american
athlete we've ever had um but
It's going to be interesting to see
because we don't have the details yet,
right?
Which is great marketing by Dylan and the
team at Waterpalooza by throwing this out
without the details because now
everybody's going to talk about it.
I mean,
you told me about it before we went
live and my first question to you is
what constitutes a camp and how many are
we going to invite?
That's my biggest question, right?
Yeah.
Mike DeVito has a name for the Misfits
Camp Nowhere.
Yeah.
I mean, does Tristan get a camp?
Tristan, do you get a camp?
Have you been contacted about having a
camp at the Battle of the Camps?
He's probably had to sign an NDA about
his affiliation with this competition.
Is a send athlete going to have a
team?
I'm assuming this is going to be some
sort of team thing at Battle of the
Camps.
Yeah.
Justin and Elling.
That's not a camp,
unless it's just us two.
I forgot to play the disclaimer earlier
on.
This podcast contains sarcasm, opinions,
and an unhealthy amount of CrossFit
discussion and going off the rails.
Side effects may include laughing
inappropriately,
yelling at your dashboard,
and questioning.
Need to play that at the beginning of
every episode.
This has been a PSA from the Clydesdale
Media Podcast.
Tristan said he can't give away any
details.
i told you nda ndas ndas baby yeah
because because people in crossfit really
really hold true to an nda they respect
the respect for ndas and crossfit goes
beyond like above and beyond because i
don't know the last time a workout is
leaked oh no not at all do you
remember what happened live on the savan
podcast
Oh, that was so good.
Yeah,
Trista said it's going to be Brute Mayhem
and Proven.
I mean...
You have to have a European camp.
You have to.
Do you?
Yeah.
Or you have no Europeans showing up.
And we already know if you want good
women, you can't do it from the U.S.,
So here's the thing, dude.
Like we talked about,
if you want to have Ariel Owen,
she's not going to be able to go
because she's not part of a camp.
We don't know that, though.
We don't know if they may have that
camp nowhere.
That camp nowhere where it's just random
people.
random random you know the uh the camp
outsiders the camp solos camp and
introverts camp we don't need people yeah
camp here's my coach and that's all i
got is my coach yeah we don't even
know the team sizes tristan we don't know
that there's going to be six
Maybe it's going to be like a basketball
team.
They got, they got the teams of twelve.
They have twelve people.
That's the case.
It's going to be two camps.
Maybe it's like survivor camps can form an
alliance.
Oh, you get voted off of the competition.
Voted off of the competition for the
training camp and HWPO or combining have
spoken.
The camp has spoken.
That's hilarious.

cool people that I knew.
Dex was at Monster Games all weekend,
taking pictures of everybody.
He got some really cool pictures of me.
I just got to hang out with him
for an extended period of time.
I just wanted to acknowledge that because
he is a fantastic human being.
He is also one of the largest people
that I've ever met in my entire life.
And there's not an ounce of fat on
that dude.
It is absolutely insane.
He is one of the original Clydesdales.
Yes.
Yeah.
And just so you know,
he was in the chat last night.
Yeah.
Hitting that needle button when Jamie was
going off.
uh which just got her even more ramped
up oh i bet i bet i love

the show today and i had a horse
thank me for telling him that it was
too loud for the show
It was a rice cake at that.
It was probably one of the loudest things
anybody can possibly eat without having a
rice cake studded with Pop Rocks.
Yeah, it was rough.

that's going to go.
Unfortunately, we got to roll.
Amanda says rice cake with honey and
banana winning combo.
His had neither honey nor banana.
It was straight dry crunch ass rice cake.
Oh, can you hear that?
Yes.
Just quit.
It can't hurt.
