Hi. I'm Abby Hunter. This is agriculture in a minute with Minnesota 4-H agriculture ambassadors. Today, I'm gonna talk about what you need to start showing rabbit. The four basic things you need to start showing rabbits is you will need a transport carrier if you go to show to rabbit shows, food and water cups, and grooming supplies for the rabbit.

Speaker 1:

Where can you find a show? If you go to the ARBA website, which ARBA stands for America Rabbits Breeders Association, and look under members resources or animal shows needed so they feel comfortable. At home, you will need a big enough cage for the rabbit can run around and the cage have hay, food, and fresh water. For going to shows, want to prep the cages with puppy pads or wood shavings in the bottom, or you can have both. And when you're in the cage, when the rabbit's in the cage, you need food and water cups, which are usually smaller than the ones you have at home, and make sure it's big enough.

Speaker 1:

Last but not least, you have to practice two to three times a week with your rabbit. One thing you need to work on is One of the most important things is positioning them, because it's really good for the judge to know that you've worked with them.
