OGM-0031-Who Wrote The Bible-002
===

David Hill: Question often asked these days, who wrote the Bible? Hi, David Hill. The Bible starts with God (Genesis 1:1). It claims to be inspired by the Holy Spirit of God (II Peter 1:20-21). Three ways folks look at inspiration: no inspiration, thought inspiration, or verbal inspiration. Verbal inspiration being the case made by the Bible.

Holy men of God spoke as they were being directed by the Holy Spirit of God. Evidence? About 40 writers wrote a consistent message over 1600 years. Prophecies proven true, like Isaiah calling Cyrus his name 150 years before Cyrus was born ,and over 300 prophecies of Christ and His kingdom, the Church, proven true over hundreds of years and fulfilled on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). The message? God is, and has planned for your salvation (John 3:16). Instruction along the way written as no man could concisely, no wasted words or commentary, just telling the truth. Even when one after God's own heart does wrong (II Samuel 12). All spoken and recorded that you might be saved (John 5:34). That's good news! That's divinely inspired Gospel.
