Hello and welcome to the Transfer News Podcast, I'm Archer, and it's Wednesday the fourteenth of January, two thousand and twenty-six. We've got a packed show today with plenty of movement across the Premier League, so let's dive straight in.
Starting with a surprise story from yesterday, Everton are reportedly eyeing Arsenal's Ben White. David Moyes is clearly looking to strengthen his defensive options, and while White has been a key player for Mikel Arteta, this one feels like a long shot unless there's some underlying issue we don't know about yet.
Moving to Barcelona, and they're apparently keen for Marcus Rashford to stay at the club. The Manchester United forward has been on loan at the Catalan giants, and it seems his performances have impressed enough for them to want to extend the arrangement, which puts Ruben Amorim in an interesting position regarding his squad planning.
Arsenal are monitoring Newcastle's Valentino Livramento according to reports from a few days ago. The young full-back has caught the eye this season, and with Arteta always looking to add quality depth, this could be one to watch as we move deeper into the window.
Staying with the Gunners, they've also joined the race to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. This would be a significant addition to their backline, and with Oliver Glasner's Palace potentially open to selling at the right price, Arsenal could be serious contenders here alongside other interested parties.
Bournemouth are keen on Arsenal's young talent Ethan Nwaneri. Andoni Iraola has done excellent work developing young players, so a loan move could be beneficial for all parties, giving Nwaneri the game time he needs to develop further.
