We've all experienced the frustration of feeling misunderstood and the incredible empowerment that comes from being seen. These emotions are only amplified when we watch our children go through hardships and successes. Embrace is a series following the journey of Mason, who is identified as a unique learner as a child. His story is one of growth, resilience, and the power of finding the right support as he and his family learn to recognize, understand,

and embrace his neurodivergence. We trace Mason's developmental milestones, exploring how his experiences shaped him into the person he is today. Through conversations with the executive director of LDS, learn, develop, succeed. Rachel Forbes speaks with parents like Sarah Jane Walker. So understanding where their interests are, where their strengths are, and allowing those things to be nurtured. And at the same time,

accepting and realizing that things are going to be challenging. Educators like Jennifer Fain. Just something's not quite clicking for that child for whatever that is. So look at the challenge if it's reluctance to read then you know what are supports you can have that are going to help your child be reading or engaged in reading or hearing being read to in a safe and supportive environment. And leading experts like Dr. Candice Murray. I think it's critical for parents and teachers and

adults in a child's life to normalize that mistakes are how we learn. It's the best way to learn. shed light on how neurodivergence shows up for different children and youth that come up over the course of their lives. This is more than a story about neurodiversity. It's a testament to the power of support, understanding, community, and the courage to embrace who we truly are. You can listen to Embrace wherever you get your podcast.
