One Gospel Minute

"Great is God's faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:23). God expects His creation to be faithful to Him. In I Samuel 4, we see how the Israelites' lack of faithfulness was their downfall. Reflect on the Proverb "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverb 4:23). Faithfulness entails wholehearted dedication. Are you faithful to Him?

David Hill: [00:00:00] "Great is God's faithfulness" (Lamentation 3:23). Hi, David Hill with a Gospel Minute. God expects His creation to be faithful to Him. After a defeat by the Philistines of old, Israel decided the answer to victory was to carry the Ark of the Covenant into the next battle (I Samuel 4). And they did just that.

The second time, they lost 30, 000 soldiers, much more than the 4, 000 before. In addition, the Philistines took the Ark. The Ark of the Covenant was not to be used as a mascot, a trophy, or a secret weapon. Their problem, unfaithfulness to God. Neither the Ark nor any other thing can replace your spiritual heart.

The Proverb 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life." Not a bracelet, an icon or empty words. It's your heart. Faithfulness is total dedication of heart. Great is God's faithfulness. Are you faithful to Him? Thank you for listening to One Gospel Minute.
