00:00:00 Andre Ottlik: A study by Gail Matthews shows that people who report their weekly progress to friends achieve significantly more than those who simply write down their goals.
00:00:10 Jules: So just share every goal for 2026 on social media and become more successful?
00:00:15 Andre Ottlik: Yeah, that might work, but personally, it's nothing for me. I prefer sharing such things with a good friend, my partner or a colleague. And yes, it somehow motivates me. But I also have well thought through goals.
00:00:29 Jules: Today we're talking about the WOOP method by Gabriele Oettingen. You can use it not only for setting better goals for yourself, but also for your colleagues. It's one of the simplest coaching exercises in the world.
00:00:41 Andre Ottlik: Welcome to the Wednesday episode of 3 minutes max. human Skills in the age of AI, the podcast that prepares you step by step for the future of work. I'm Andre Ottlik.
00:00:49 Jules: and I'm Jules Andres, AI co-host
00:00:52 Andre Ottlik: WOOP stands for wish, outcome, obstacle, and plan. Our first tip is pick five goals from your mind map of Monday that you consider low hanging fruits. These are goals where you feel it's really time to tackle them. Write them down separately on a piece of paper. You can also note who you could share each goal with.
00:01:14 Jules: Now use a large language model like perplexity, ChatGPT or Gemini and ask it to help you define a hoop goal. Let it guide you through all four steps for each of your five goals.
00:01:26 Andre Ottlik: ET voila! You've already formulated reasonable goals. A little extra tip. The outcomes are particularly important so that you can visualize your goals later on. if you like 3 minutes max.,
00:01:39 Andre Ottlik: subscribe to our podcast. Feel free to recommend it and tune in on Friday when we'll talk about how to make each goal easily achievable with a one percent method. See you then! Ciao, ciao!
