Anna:

Hey. Hey. Welcome back to Keys and Cafecito. Today, we are talking about something that I think every buyer has felt at some point. The idea that maybe right now isn't the right time to buy.

Anna:

Because no matter what the market looks like, there always seems to be a reason to wait. There has never been a time in any market where there wasn't a reason not to buy real estate. Never. No matter the year, no matter the economy, no matter what's happening in the news, there's always something telling people, wait. It's not the right time.

Anna:

Something bad is coming. Interest rates are too high. Prices are too high. The market is about to crash. There there's a recession coming.

Anna:

Just wait a little bit longer. And those things might sound different depending on the year, but the messaging is always the same. And right now, a lot of what I'm hearing is tied to what's happening in the world. With everything going on globally, conflicts, war, uncertainty, it makes sense that people feel hesitant. Like, maybe I should just wait and see what happens.

Anna:

And I want to say this very clearly that feeling is a 100% valid. It's okay to feel cautious when the world feels uncertain. It's natural to feel cautious when the world feels uncertain. But if we look back, there's always been something happening in the world that made people feel like it wasn't the right time. Recessions, market shifts, global events.

Anna:

There has always been a time when things felt a little bit up in the air. There's never been a completely calm moment where everything felt absolutely perfect right time. And on top of everything that's happening in the world, there is also very real and personal reasons that people feel stuck. Maybe you've written offers and didn't get accepted. Maybe you've been outbid more than once.

Anna:

And now you're thinking, well, what's the point? Maybe it's just not the right time. Or maybe you're looking at numbers and thinking, this feels like a lot. What if I'm buying at the wrong time? And every time that you are ready, you hear another headline, you're watching the market, and something makes you pause again.

Anna:

And if that's you, you're not alone in that. There will always be something that will make you hesitate. While some people were waiting, other people were buying, though. And those are often the people who today have equity, have stability, and in many cases have built generational wealth. Fear will always give you a reason to pause.

Anna:

Always. But real estate has never been about perfect timing. It's about time in the market, not timing the market. That doesn't mean that everyone should rush out and buy a home, but it does mean that you shouldn't let fear or headlines make those decisions for you. There will always be a reason not to buy.

Anna:

The question is, will you let that reason decide for you? Or will you decide based on your goals, your timing, and your future? Thank you so much for being here.
