What is Clydesdale Media Podcast?

We cover the sport of CrossFit from all angles. We talk with athletes, coaches and celebrities that compete and surround in the sport of CrossFit at all levels. We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.

We are grumpy today,

and we're handing out demerits.

Maybe we don't have to.

Maybe we don't have to hand out demerits

today.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time you press

call.

Lunch with the Clydesdale.

Cowboy bring the heat.

Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.

Half hour hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate, tune in now,

you part of the fam.

It's lunch time.

What's going on?

Beautiful thing.

Beautiful thing.

Not a whole lot,

to be honest with you.

It is CrossFit doldrums right now.

No wind blowing from any direction.

We're just kind of stuck in one spot

until we at least get some sort of

announcement or something, right?

We know when the Open starts next year.

Cool.

Yeah.

We know that Brute has three team members

for SoCal,

but we don't know any other team members

of any team or whatever.

And we now know that Hayley Adams and

Heinrich Heipelainen have gotten an invite

to Rogue.

Yeah.

And that's about it for the last

twenty-four hours.

So the Heinrich Heipleinen,

he was getting a bid regardless, right?

I would think so.

They popped his Achilles,

so they got to have him back.

They'd be like, hey, man, look,

we're really sorry about the Achilles

thing.

Would you like to come back?

Because if you can, if you could,

that'd be great.

We would really,

really love to see you back on this

floor after the whole incident that shall

not be named.

I'm assuming we'll get the Gabby McGowan

invite in the next day or two.

After she comes on the show.

Gabby McGowan is scheduled to come on the

show.

I know.

It's the fact that she's going to Rogue.

I just made that up.

This is like the nerdy fitness version of

NFL fan experience two weeks post-Super

Bowl.

Yeah.

We are in that spot where you are...

digging and diving for anything to talk

about.

It is super, super.

So it's time for a way too early

picks for next year's CrossFit Games

champion.

Yes.

Who you got, Corey?

Oh, man.

I'm going to go with Amy Kringle.

Let's go with that for right now.

I'm going with Amy Toomey Orr.

I love it.

I love it.

I'm going to go with,

on the men's side,

I'm going to go with James Pepper.

Fergie,

down to two-twenty-six body weight,

at what point do you pull my Clydesdale

card?

Got a few more pounds.

How tall is Fergie?

He's like six-four or something.

Six-four, two-twenty-two, so that's lean.

Oh, yeah.

That's like... He's probably going to...

on that borderline of Clydesdale,

no Clydesdale.

But the height helps him, right?

Yeah.

Because Clydesdales are tall.

And he's not losing height.

Larry Young,

that's my goal to lose the Clydesdale

card.

Larry, I've met you.

You're more of a silverback than a

Clydesdale.

Sorry, brother.

Well,

we have you in the club at least

for a few more years.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And one,

I think Larry's a good looking man.

And he is a good looking dude.

Larry looks like if he got a hold

to you and was angry,

it would not end well.

I'll put it to you like that.

Yeah.

And he's a super nice guy.

He's awesome.

But Jesus Christ, dude,

like I wouldn't want to tangle with him

whatsoever.

Ortega is only two hundred pounds if he

has weights in his pockets.

They're holding down a cinder block and

he's soaking wet.

Maybe he's two hundred pounds.

And yeah, he's smaller.

He's shorter than I am.

Ain't no way that dude weighs two hundred

pounds.

Maybe with all of his camera equipment.

Yeah.

Like all of it.

You should probably weigh yourself without

carrying all of that stuff.

And three extra lenses.

He gets like two hundred point three.

Yeah, a hundred percent.

I don't see that.

Yeah,

I don't know anything about CrossFit comps

in New Jersey.

Is it strictly because it was in New

Jersey or...

You're like, man,

if this would have been anywhere else,

it would have been a whole lot cooler.

Yeah,

CrossFit says it's because of New Jersey.

That's what I'm saying.

Is it because it was in Jersey?

Not that we're shitting on Jersey by any

stretch of the imagination.

We're just asking questions that nobody

else will answer.

It's the Garden State.

It is the Garden State.

It is the Garden State.

I don't know who's doing their marketing

and where they saw a garden in New

Jersey, but hey,

Let's call it the garden state.

Maybe in somebody's backyard.

Nobody...

So California citrus, right,

and California olives,

and then there's Florida oranges and stuff

like that.

New Jersey doesn't have one of those

things.

It didn't say it was the orchard state.

It says it was the garden state.

Maybe they grow pansies.

Okay.

Okay.

oh that's good stuff uh mr ramirez trying

to get up to one eighty five the

fact that joseph weighs one fifty five

like i've seen that dude without a shirt

on he is a unit at one fifty

five at one eighty five i don't think

he could walk through a door because he'd

be from he'd be just he'd be too

damn wide uh hexi lover's giving a

Hey, now,

I'm from a farm in South Jersey.

North Jersey is what you think of.

That's what everybody thinks of is North

Jersey.

We don't think about the Jersey Shore

unless you're watching MTV circa nineteen

ninety four.

And you don't think of South Jersey.

But, yeah, South Jersey isn't really that.

It's actually really nice.

Couldn't tell you.

Never been.

I flew into Jersey once,

and then we took the train to New

York.

Well,

I got lost in Philadelphia once and ended

up in South Jersey.

There you go.

Cross fat is in South Jersey,

basically Philadelphia.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Cross fat and I are in the same

wavelength today.

It's wild.

Got it.

Love it.

Love it.

Love it.

Love it.

Joseph, I'm going to give you,

I'm going to give you the recipe to

get up to one eighty five more tacos.

A lot of tacos.

I don't know if you can go more.

You're saying, well, I mean,

if you thirty pounds is a lot to

put on.

Period.

He's trying to put on thirty pounds of

muscle because he said he didn't want to

be a soggy one eighty five.

He going to eat a lot of tacos.

Chachi B told Larry Young two thirties is

magic body weight.

If that's your magic body weight, Larry,

you're never leaving the Clydesdale Club.

The actual origin of Clydesdale is from

like five K's and marathons that had a

Clydesdale division.

And generally that was over two hundred

pounds.

Oh, yeah.

What is it?

The triathlon.

Ironman still has a Clydesdale division.

Yeah.

That's where it came from.

Cross-fitted varies depending on which

race and whatnot.

I've seen him at .. .

.

I've seen him at .. .

.

I've seen him at .. . .

I don't think the Clydesdales have not

united and formed a union to determine

what the actual number is yet.

We were waiting for the PFAA to take

us on as one of their clients.

And then they, they went under.

So now we're kind of at a loss

as to where to go.

They just dropped the ball completely.

I blame them.

The professor.

I'll put it on Brett Fikowski.

Yeah, Jody,

the origin of the name Clydesdale comes

from that concept and that I thought at

the time that CrossFit should have a

Clydesdale division at competitions

because people over two hundred back then

there weren't money,

two hundred pound CrossFitters at the

games.

Now it's just it's a it's a thing.

And I thought there should be a Clydesdale

division,

at least at local comps for local people

to compete against people their own size

and just kind of see how they match

up.

You'd have to put on,

at least around here,

you'd have to put on just a strictly

Clydesdale comp.

You've got to be two-twenty-plus to enter,

and we're going to weigh you before you

get here.

Because there's not enough people to

support.

We've got RX, we've got Scaled,

and we've got Clydesdale.

That's not happening.

I'm not as big of a fighter for

it today as I was seven years ago

when we started this podcast.

right right like my thought process is in

a different place and you know it is

what it is uh what's the weight is

for the shetland pony division i think

that is something you should talk about

with joseph ramirez well he's in the hobby

horse division yeah i'd give him shetland

pony vicky we need to find out what's

he does so he's he's more flexible than

a hobby horse

Hobby horse is mostly a big stick.

So, yeah,

I can see him being more flexible than

a stick with a horse head on the

end of it.

Oh, my word.

Damn, Tega, that sounds terrible.

At the competition,

the guy changed the workout standards

mid-workout after like two heats went.

Wow.

I would have been livid.

live it yeah like we don't have a

i don't i don't often get angry at

a car needs get one set of rules

and the other two other two heats don't

get a separate set of rules yeah that's

i would i probably would have walked off

yeah that'd been a revolt on your hands

at that point no thank you no thank

you god don't that's terrible you'd have

to have oh shit

You'd have to have weigh-ins in like

powerlifting or the skinny guys would lie

to get an easy win.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, dude.

Like it would have to be,

you'd have to weigh in whenever you get

there, period.

Oh, no, you are overweight.

You're underweight.

Sorry, you can't.

It's like a wrestling match.

Vicky did some research.

Average Shetland pony equals four hundred

pounds.

Right.

But the average Clydesdale is way more

than what I weigh, Vicky.

So like you have to do it proportionately.

Like a Clydesdale probably is eleven

hundred, twelve hundred pounds.

Oh, a Clydesdale?

No, bigger than that.

And I do not weigh that much,

just to let you guys know.

No,

I actually look up what a Shetland Pony

weighs.

He told the intermediate in scale that

standard for lunges... That's not a lunge.

It's not.

not even a lunge or take i'm assuming

you were taking pictures at this thing

that's terrible wow that's just that's

terrible well that's jersey for you all

right folks you have a great show we'll

see y'all tomorrow um we were talking

right before we went on air i uh

i finally watched the first episode of

lanterns last night

no spoilers i haven't watched it yet

actually i don't really care about

spoilers i'm gonna watch it anyway um what

a dude it's it was the best dc

product since the the christian bale

batman i've heard no bad things about it

nothing nothing bad about it so i'm

excited the writers of it are people who

did true detective

And they're viewing it as like a buddy

mystery crime thing with Jon Stewart and

Hal Jordan being those two buddies kind of

doing things.

Dude, it was freaking awesome.

It takes about twenty minutes to get up

and running.

I got no problem.

And then the last forty,

they smashed so much stuff into that last

forty.

My wife walked out at twenty.

That's how I that's why I have the

delineation.

And this morning I'm like,

it was so good.

She goes, yeah,

but they were just I'm like, yeah,

but you missed this, this, this,

this and this.

And so I think we're rewatching it tonight

so that she can see and we'll pick

up from where she walked out and then

we'll see if she'll because she loves True

Detective.

Right.

and so um i think i think she'll

actually like it i'm excited my wife's not

gonna make it fifteen minutes but not

because she's not gonna be interested

she's gonna fall asleep well there's stuff

that would make you go like what like

what in the first twenty minutes but it

the the true the storyline doesn't really

start rolling until like twenty minutes in

No, she just, it doesn't matter what,

like put the kid to bed and it's

like, okay, I want to watch this thing.

I was like, okay, okay, here we go.

And I'll look over five minutes in like,

did you hear what they just said?

And then she's yeah.

Just out of cold.

Yeah.

I, uh, Andrew, I have seen,

I've seen the first three episodes of

reacher.

Um,

my wife declared that that is her favorite

show now.

Um,

But that's just until Landman comes back

and then that'll be your favorite show

again.

Well,

I can't wait for Landman to come back.

Or Dutton Ranch comes back.

That'll be your favorite show at that

point.

She has a rolling set of favorite shows

and it just changes which one.

Depends on which one's currently playing.

Yeah.

I mean,

there's a bunch that don't get into that

favorite thing,

but there's like four or five that are

a rolling favorite.

And they are spaced out throughout the

year so that like that can be her

current favorite one.

I thought when my daughter asked me

because she's eight and she's into those

kind of questions.

Dad, what's your favorite?

Whatever.

I'm like, depends on the data, kiddo.

Like, I really don't know.

I feel the same way about TV shows.

If I'm into something at the moment,

I'm going to watch it and be like,

this is amazing.

But if not,

I have to be in the right mood

to watch some of that stuff.

I have no idea what Lucky even is.

I don't either.

I used to have Lucky Brand jeans.

Any relation to that?

No?

Maybe?

Those were pretty cool back in the day.

We were watching Reacher the other night,

and Julie looks at me and goes,

does he seem robotic this year?

And I was like, he's robotic every year.

Yeah, that's the point.

That's the character.

If you've never read the books,

the books are so good, dude.

I read stuff from the guy who actually

wrote the books that just...

he wrote him intentionally for like for

this dude to be this american hero kid

who's like unbeatable you know he doesn't

really get beaten off into trouble or or

stuff like that like he doesn't really

lose necessarily he's larger than life

that's how the character is written and he

comes off as a little robotic because he

got a little touch of autism um just

from the way he lives and whatnot and

uh richard is playing it a lot like

you like you would read him in the

books having said that in the book he's

actually bigger than reacher is in real

life which is i mean it'd just be

kind of hard to find somebody who could

both act and be that large at the

same time i

I don't know this thing you say read.

I know.

That wasn't made for you.

That was mostly meant for the members of

our audience who actually do read.

Can I tell you,

it's funny because I used to read a

lot.

I'm watching Get Up this morning and

they're talking about a book, Chop Wood,

Carry Water.

And I'm like, well, yeah, I've read that.

Like, so when I say like,

I don't read, like I,

I did a lot of reading,

like a lot of reading.

Yeah.

And it was only after my master's degree

that I gave up reading because,

and I shouldn't say gave up.

There's still,

there are still times where if a book

speaks my interest, I will read a book.

Sure.

And then like my friend,

Athena writes a book.

I will read her book,

like things like that.

You heard it here first, folks.

If you want Scott to continue reading,

you need to read a book.

You need to write a book.

Yeah.

If Vicki ever gets her book published,

I'll read her book.

I read every essay she sends me.

I have to.

Right?

So, like,

if I like you and you're my friend,

I'll read your stuff.

But for the most part, I'm done reading.

I just am.

i just love the way that sounds i'm

just i've had my fill mostly i'm just

you know books can kiss it i'm over

with it that's fantastic oh anyway uh read

the charlie sheen book i don't know if

i can i don't know if i'd want

to read the charlie sheen book that seems

like it has some details in it that

i do not want to own

There it is.

There it is, folks.

In case y'all were wondering,

reading is fundamental for some of us here

on Clydesdale Media.

It's not fundamental.

Not for everybody.

Reading is no longer fundamental.

I don't give a damn what PBS tells

you.

Oh, good night.

That is good.

Can I tell you,

my friend Vicky sent me a GIF that

was the Reading Rainbow opening.

Oh, butterflies in the sky.

I can go twice as high.

Yes, LeVar Burton.

Yes, Mark Phillips.

Yes.

LeVar Burton is so disappointed in you,

Scott.

The fact that you said Reading Rainbow and

immediately my brain went,

the butterflies in the sky.

I can go twice as high.

Like I know the words to that song.

There it is.

There it is.

Look at LeVar.

He's judging shit out of you right now.

I'm willing to take him on.

I could take LeVar Burton.

I'm going to prove that reading is not

fundamental and it is not a rainbow of

joy and fun with butterflies in the sky.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Scott Swizer just challenged LeVar Burton

to a fight.

I don't know if y'all heard that or

not,

but pretty sure that's what just took

place right here on the lunch show.

Pretty sure I could take LeVar Burton.

All right.

So that's immediately now,

because of my word association brain,

goes to Fight Club when they were talking

about what celebrities, dead or alive,

would you like to fight?

And I forget which one it was.

It was like Abraham Lincoln.

Tall guy, lanky, had good reach.

I'd like to be able to fight him.

Scott just goes, LeVar Burton.

Why?

Because to hell with reading.

Hey,

there's times in life where you have to

take a stand.

If you don't stand for something,

you'll fall for anything.

That's what I hear anyway.

Good night.

That's funny.

Thank you, Joseph Ramirez.

He's got fifty dollars on me.

Oh, I didn't say you couldn't take him.

Vicky, how old is LeVar Burton?

Let's find out.

Oh, my word.

How old is Lieutenant Geordie LaForge?

Let's find out.

Nice.

Marksville is correct.

Sixty nine.

Oh, yeah.

Scott's threatening to fight senior

citizens.

Let's go.

Hey, I'm fifty six, man.

Yeah, but he's past retirement age.

Like that's that counts as a senior

citizen.

George Foreman fought Michael Moore and

there was like a thirty year gap.

Fergie's still waiting for his personal

pan pizza for summer fifth grade reading

program.

Damn, Ferg.

Screwed over by their summer reading

program.

That's messed up.

That's messed up.

I don't know if you ever get it

back, dog.

Like,

the checkered tablecloths and the Pac-Man

or the video games you could play while

you were sitting there.

All of that's gone, man.

the jukebox man go in there throw in

a dollar pick five songs now i think

it's like two dollars a song a song

yeah hundred percent oh hold up winter

winter the police have spoken that is a

felony in florida scott good thing i don't

live in florida

It's just this match is going to be

at a neutral.

It's going to be at a neutral site,

not in Florida.

Still not out there.

Oh, man.

Big, big, big.

Oh, speaking of Pizza Hut, did you know,

this is a fun fact.

Hold on.

Do you see Techno Sweater?

Can you participate as an adult in the

reading program of Pizza Hut?

Scott can't.

Scott won't.

Scott won't.

Yeah, it's not that he couldn't.

It's not that he can't.

He just won't.

Holy smokes.

That is good stuff.

Did you know that when Pizza Hut had

their buffet,

they were the biggest buyer of kale on

the face of the planet?

I feel like Ken's got his number on

speed dial.

One, we're back on buffet.

On the buffet.

Dude, I...

right out of God wouldn't stop with the

kale.

I worked,

I had to work at a Wendy's for

right in college.

Yep.

And I was in charge of their super

bar.

If you don't remember the Wendy's super

bar,

we went through so much freaking kale to

cover three sections of the super bar.

Yep.

That's how you covered the ice back in

the day.

Yeah, nobody knew about it.

Nobody knew you could actually eat that

crap because it didn't look edible.

It looked like grass.

And at some point, somebody was like,

this stuff is full of vitamins and

minerals.

We should eat.

We should knock this down.

If you gnaw on it for a few

days, you can get through a piece.

Yeah, if you're lucky.

Sweet baby Jesus.

That is one of the few things,

and I say few things.

There's way more stuff than that that is

just stuck rattling around in my forty

nine year old brain.

Fergie is right.

Fergie is right.

The Gallagher table at Pizza Hut was lit.

A hundred percent.

A hundred percent.

And you, the first,

my pizza first had the football with the

track ball and it was just X's and

O's on the, on the screen.

And you like spun the track ball to

like throw the pass.

And then,

and then you'd run with the track ball.

oh here we go what the heel that

was and then they brought in the galaga

and then that thing just took off galaga

was like galaga was outstanding one of the

biggest video games of my era yeah same

uh it's not even that way it's not

even so wayne's saying start a book club

and we'll just never read or talk about

him scott's gonna start the anti-book club

where he just goes around telling people

hey don't read that this week don't read

this week don't read whatever it is you

have in front of you put it down

it's gonna be okay oh my lord

So Ortega, it was the first.

It was super bar because it had Italian,

Mexican, and salad.

You had like an Italian pasta bar

connected to a Mexican taco bar connected

to a salad bar.

Beautiful thing.

And at the very end,

you had a couple troughs of soup.

I don't know what the technical term of

that is.

I'm going with troughs.

Probably not trough, if I had to guess.

I'll go ahead and say it's probably not

trough.

It might be.

It's entirely possible,

but I'm going to go ahead and say

it's probably not trough.

Ed, if we're talking pizza at buffet.

At the buffet, yeah.

We need to bring back Scholastic Book

Fairs.

Riff.

So I will say this, Ed.

They still have book fairs because my

daughter,

there's like two or three of them a

year at her school where she goes back.

And we have to stop her from buying

accessories like pencils and erasers and

all that shit.

Like, no, dude, we're not here for that.

If you want to buy a book,

we can buy a book.

For you to read because my co-host is

not going to read it at all,

even for the eight-year-old books.

But they still are Scholastic Book Fairs.

I don't know if you can buy a

post.

There it is.

There it is.

There it is.

It's me with glasses, man.

It's perfect.

It's perfect.

He's got one hoof and one hoof with

fingers you can actually hold onto a

coffee cup with.

That is fantastic.

Better conversation.

No required reading on the mug.

Yep.

Yep.

I don't know if I'm going to make

it through this show.

Oh, you'll be all right.

You'll be all right.

Oh, the stoop trough.

Yeah.

You know what just slays me is every

time I come on this show and I'm

like,

I don't know what we're going to talk

about because there's no CrossFit news.

No need.

We're thirty minutes in and I'm having the

time of my life.

No need.

No need.

No need.

Oh, you know where else?

While we're on the subject of soup

troughs,

there's probably a protein trough at

At the Golden Corral.

Come to the Golden Corral.

Get your protein trough on.

Get your nanograms of protein right here.

At the Golden Corral Buffet.

At the Golden Corral Buffet.

You better believe it.

Oh, take a deep breath.

Take a deep breath.

Philip's the cheek and ab workout at

lunch.

It'd be all right.

Right.

It's good for his cardio.

It's good cardio.

It's fun.

Oh, man.

Clydesdale Book Club at Pizza Hut off

Highway Ten.

Please weigh in first.

I like that.

Fergie just tied it all together.

That was nice.

That was nice.

That's good stuff right there.

That is the synopsis of the whole show.

A hundred percent.

So speaking of book clubs,

my nephew has a beautiful little baby

named Olive.

not train olive just olive no no turns

out train olive's name is actually winter

who knew and uh and when she was

born they asked that like everybody buy a

children's book and write a message to her

inside and that was like the thing so

in a couple weeks is his first her

first birthday they want you to come

dressed as your favorite storybook

character

can you see how excited i am oh

yeah absolutely to embrace my love of

books absolutely dress up as a character

uncle scott uncle scott what are you

supposed to be uh i'm somebody who doesn't

read nephew sorry

Still,

I need to come as a blank page.

I'm not doing that.

Vicky,

I couldn't even read what was on the

sign behind the Clydesdale in the soup

trough.

It doesn't matter.

It's the soup trough.

That's all you need to know.

Available at your local Golden Corral.

Bring a spoon.

Yes, Ortega.

I mean, it's a trough.

Everybody can get in.

Fuel laughs, dumb ideas.

Which is our other byline for this show,

FYI.

And it looks like it's a nice minestrone.

all right bring it back in bring it

back in bring it back in so yeah

yeah so you know like normal so i'm

thinking of going to this party as uh

uh the man in the yellow hat from

cruz george do you have a raincoat i

I figure I can go somewhere and get

some yellow shit.

You shouldn't be able to get a yellow

raincoat and a yellow rain hat and you're

done.

I think it's a cowboy hat.

You're going Paddington Bear.

And even me that doesn't read knows the

difference between what Paddington Bear

wears and the man in the yellow hat

from Curious George.

Close enough.

If I find the raincoat,

I'll just go as Paddington Bear.

See?

See?

Look, two birds, one stone, baby.

I'm more the shape of Paddington Bear than

I am of the man in the yellow

hat.

It's fine, dude.

It's fine.

The weight's falling off of you, Scott.

At this point,

we just had a discussion the other day.

Rails?

Who needs rails?

badges we're going there are no rails or

we don't need no stinking rails either way

either way picky movie reference let's

just go go with either one you want

oh there you go the invisible man done

fergie has man he's a problem solver done

the man is like he's got it he's

got his together for damn sure

Yeah,

we don't need Scott going back in a

film.

We'd be all right.

Yeah, we're good.

There is.

There it is.

Whose idea was it to get a damn

producer?

Yeah, I don't even remember,

but I am certainly glad she was two

minutes late today.

I am not mad for that.

And she's got the caffeine shake.

She said, I can understand why now.

What is on the tag?

That is a profile picture.

Please look after this bear.

Please look after this bear.

Thank you.

That is a bear.

That is fantastic.

oh my gosh we would like to thank

producer vicky for scott's new profile

picture on instagram so vicky makes the

thumbnails based on what we talk about in

the show she's got a lot to pick

from today i think she has a lot

of content that she can just grab and

throw on the thumbnail at this point

A hundred percent.

I feel like she's probably working on that

right now.

Good night.

That is good stuff right there.

All right.

Let's talk about a couple other things.

Oh.

So I was reading an article because I

do read articles.

I was reading articles.

Because they're not written on paper is

why.

And did...

it was about what is the highest scoring

harrison ford movie on rotten tomatoes oh

you think about harrison ford there's a

lot of movies out there right he was

indiana jones he was han solo in star

wars lots of like cult favorite movies can

you name his number one rotten tomato

scored movie so here's the thing about

rotten tomatoes that i do not like is

that um they

It's like a critic thing, right?

Like, oh, we've got blah, blah, blah.

Well, this is not critic.

This is viewer scores.

So this is viewer scores.

Okay.

So they have the critic score and they

have the viewer score.

I'm going to go out on a limb

and give one of my favorite Harrison Ford

movies,

which is not Indiana Jones or Star Wars,

and go with The Fugitive.

That is it.

That is it.

You and Mark Phillips nailed it.

Meredith nailed it.

Dude,

when him and Tommy Lee Jones are apart

from each other and he's like,

I didn't kill my wife.

Tommy Lee Jones goes, I don't care.

I don't care.

That is, it's probably my favorite.

And I,

Indiana Jones is one of my favorite movies

of all time.

Oh, I love Indiana Jones.

Absolutely.

But The Fugitive,

every time I see it on TV,

I stop.

A hundred percent.

Absolutely.

I will watch that one hundred times.

i mean dude look at a cast tommy

lee jones um him joey pants uh i

can't think of the guy who was supposed

to be the young kid but he was

fantastic in it as well yeah like the

entire cast is outstanding all the way

through front to back

And just, it's well acted.

It's well done.

It's well put together.

The dialogue, just, you know,

the various one-liners.

When Tommy Lee Jones says,

I want a hard target search of every

hen house, outhouse,

go buy in whatever range area, like,

it's outstanding.

And the way Tommy Lee Jones plays the

part where he's calm, cool,

and collected throughout the whole thing.

And then there's that point where he gets

rattled.

Yeah.

And his demeanor completely changes.

Everybody thinks it's a coot calling in.

He picks up the phone and it turns

out to be Richard Kimball.

And then he's like, yeah.

Yeah.

Mark Phillips is correct.

If it's on, I leave it on.

There's no bad scenes.

There is not.

There's none.

And I just love it.

I know a lot of guys that work

in law enforcement.

I know one guy that went through the

FBI Academy, doesn't work for the FBI,

but he does.

A lot of them that have done,

I know some door kickers and stuff like

that.

And I don't care if you did it

or not.

Like that's that whole scene right there

where he just tells him I don't care.

It's that is a lot of guys like

I don't give a shit.

It's not for me to decide.

I really don't care.

I'm here to pick you up and bring

you in.

And like that's it's one of my favorite

scenes in all of cinema.

It's when I was when I was a

bartender,

I was talking to some state police

officers and they say they told me it's

not their job to determine guilt or

innocence.

Their job is to go pick up the

person they're told to go pick up.

That is it.

um i was six years old when it

came out so i asked my dad if

i could go see the fugitive yes you

can sema um so it's yeah it's just

a great movie and i needed something to

get me back on track just yeah for

a minute that's fine that's fine the other

thing i saw today from the illustrious

news resource uh the morning chalk up

Did you realize that for the first time

ever,

no rookie finished in the top ten at

the games?

I did not realize that.

I also don't care.

I just found it interesting.

Yeah.

You may not care.

Even though I've had my run-ins with the

morning chalk up,

I left them for a reason.

Sure.

But I just found it an interesting fact.

Something that makes me... Nothing that...

Not that it warranted a full article like

they gave it.

But I thought,

as Arsenio Hall used to say,

things that make you go, hmm.

Yeah.

Yeah.

No, I mean,

that is in fact a stat.

Out of all the stats, that is one.

That is definitely one of them.

And I think it's also showing the

evolution of the sport.

Yeah, I wouldn't have known deeper.

And so it's harder to make a splash.

I wouldn't have known that was a thing

simply because of the fact that I don't

pay enough attention to the rest of the

top ten once they're out.

Does that make sense?

Once it's finished, it's like,

who finished seventh last year?

I really don't know and I really don't

care.

Oh, it was a rookie.

Oh, good for him.

High fives all around.

Fantastic.

What's he doing now?

Kind of like the NFL,

I think our sport is very,

what have you done for me lately type

deal.

And

Yeah, I really don't.

It is an interesting stat.

I will give you that.

I will also say that it probably doesn't

warrant an entire article.

That sounds like,

and I might probably show a little bit

of my bias here,

but that sounds like a tagline or like

a bullet point in a barbell spin,

like a rundown.

Like, oh,

and for the first time this year,

no rookie finished inside the top ten.

And then you move on.

Mark Phillips says he'd be curious how

often it's a male versus a female.

Off the top of my head,

I would say it's more often a female.

I would say so too.

But I do not know that for a

fact.

But I just think of like the Emma

Lawson, Mal O'Brien, Emma Carey, all that.

Arsenio, was Cowboy even alive back then?

How old do you think the cowboy is?

I am so very curious at this point.

Nobody say anything.

Nobody say anything.

How old do you think I am?

Please,

please go ahead and throw that number out

there.

That's funny.

Just say thank you.

I'm going to go ahead and throw this

out there.

He was out in the early nineties.

Yeah,

I'm going to go ahead and throw this

out there.

Tessus is forty two.

There's a number that is, in fact,

a number that is, in fact, a number.

Yeah.

Arsenio Hall is from Cleveland, Ohio.

Is he really?

I didn't know that was his tribute to

the dog pound round games.

yeah so you said cleveland like okay it

makes sense dog pound oh that poor bass

is a browns fan that is long suffering

that sucks in not the best area of

cleveland yeah hexie lover called you have

got the world fooled

Nosfit is the true age-defying drug.

Yeah.

I am forty-nine, Tessa.

I'll be fifty next year.

I guess this is probably not going to

help.

You can't see.

There's a lot of gray up in there

and up in here.

Oh, shut up, Ken.

Yeah, he is.

Forty-nine going on, fifty.

Forty-nine going on.

I'll be fifty in April.

Mark Phillips says he's a youngin' in this

crowd, though.

I don't know.

I think he's got some people on the

younger side.

But we probably do skew old.

Yeah, which is fine.

Which is fine.

My wife says every pot has a lid.

Sure.

Sure.

Unless you're at my house and there's my

wife has misplaced, but I mean, whatever,

it's fine.

Holy smokes.

That's what she used to.

That's what she used to tell her brothers

before they were married.

Um, that, Hey, every pot has a lid.

See, look, there it is.

As you stand short, people look younger.

Uh, when a percent,

that's why Joseph looked like he's twenty

three.

uh larry young so we have one year

in the same age group so larry must

be going on yeah that sounds right ah

did i have anything else i want to

talk about tyson bajan got hurt i don't

know if you guys saw that oh

So he won't be playing this week in

the preseason game.

Hamstring injury.

So he wasn't at practice yesterday.

Was he doing something?

During the game.

Okay.

The reason why I ask is if you

get – like I've seen people doing stuff

like running at full speed, trying to cut,

grab their hamstring because something

happened or whatnot.

Right.

that is a fact that every temp war

does not have a lid that is accurate

yeah um generally speaking it's been my

experience that if you you know i'll say

encounter a hamstring injury but you get a

hamstring injury while not really doing a

whole lot it's usually a whole lot worse

like if there's an impact if there's a

you know something that happened but like

if you just pull up just walking all

of a sudden your hamstring pops those

usually aren't real good that's usually a

bad thing

So it's believed to be pretty minor,

but he is the backup quarterback that they

want to be healthy for the season.

They're just being overly cautious.

You act like they gave him a ten

million dollar contract.

Yeah.

Because if Caleb goes down,

there is belief that Tyson could carry the

team for a period of time.

Yeah, he could.

And so they just don't want him hurt.

I mean, dude,

they would not have given him all that

money if they did not believe in him.

Tesla says people are so mean to Tyson.

Mike Tyson?

Who's mean to Tyson?

Tyson Chicken?

I'm in a fighting mood today.

Yeah, LeVar Burton, people mean in Tyson,

whatever.

Second anybody that talks bad about Tyson.

Get in line.

Get in line to the soup trough.

Scott is handing out ass whoopings left

and right.

Hey, speaking of money,

save fifteen percent today at third Z dot

com backslash jazzy.

It's the best sleep and recovery

supplement on the market.

Hey, it's third-party tested.

You're not going to pop for steroids.

Hey,

it doesn't have that crappy melatonin in

it to give you that awful hangover.

And I've been using it for almost a

year now,

and it has truly changed the amount of

sleep I get.

It has changed my life completely.

I was tired all the time.

I'm not anymore.

It is freaking amazing.

It is an outstanding product and worth

every single penny.

That's a fact.

Damn, Scott said I got these hands.

Who's trying to catch them real quick?

LaVar Burton.

Reading Rainbow this, bitch.

The price is wrong, bitch.

And you know what LeVar Burton's saying?

Son of a bitch!

Oh, God, that's so good.

I'm ready.

So in Lanterns, the best part,

I'm not spoiling anything.

When Jon Stewart takes out the one

criminal,

that's what I'm going to do to LeVar

Burton.

When you watch it tonight, you see that.

That's what Scott's doing to LeVar Burton.

Yeah,

I'll probably tell my wife that and she'll

have absolutely no idea what the hell I'm

talking about.

Mark Phillips,

be sure to tag LeVar in the reel.

Come get it, Mr. Burton.

Come get it, Geordie LaForge.

Let's go.

Geordie LaForge.

You just went Star Trek Next Generation.

Damn right.

If you don't know who Lieutenant Geordie

LaForge is, ladies and gentlemen.

You can get it too with that little

doodad on his face.

That always looked like my mom used to

have these hair clips.

Yes.

It was spray painted with gold glitter,

man.

They just rolled it from here to here.

I was like, just put that on LaVar.

It'll look like you got this funky looking

thing on your eye and it'll look very

spacey and futuristic.

So much.

All right, guys.

For nothing happening in CrossFit,

that was a fun show.

I think I burned like seven hundred

calories laughing alone.

It's the it's the Clydesdale media workout

plan.

Listen, if anything,

we try not to take life too seriously

on the show.

And I hope you guys have a good

time hanging out with us doing it,

because I'm still I was like last night

still getting comments about short people

at ATMs.

If you have not watched that,

I'm going to...

The AI version of it that I put

onto the thumbnail because I had to sub

in for Vicky.

It came out so good.

It really did.

If you haven't seen the clip,

I can't remember the guy's name,

but it's way funnier than I made it

out to be.

He's a comedian.

When he talks about stretching his toe to

keep it on the brake and reaching up

for the Taco Bell, and he's yelling,

can you meet me halfway?

Come on.

Come on.

Come on.

God, it was so good.

So good.

And he wants Taco Bell to pay for

his tendon surgery for making the stretch.

He said,

Taco Bell going to pay for this MRI.

I'm telling you right now.

Mark Phillips says you can catch a cramp

doing that for real.

Hey, especially us Masters athletes, man.

I got to warm up before I go

to the drive-thru.

Like, that's messed up.

We can't go down this rabbit hole again.

It's not even fun.

For real.

I don't have to do that.

All right.

Take us out, Vicki.

You wouldn't wait to get to the editing

room to jazz me up.

I'm already jazzy.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Talking to reps,

real life strength in the battle.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time we press

call.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

heat.

Crossfit, movies, music on repeat.

Half hour hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate.
