Ladies and gentlemen, welcome
to the premier episode of
Creativity Threads Life.
This is a new podcast I am starting.
I may stutter a little bit.
I may jumble words up a little bit.
I may I don't know.
I may knock something over.
You may hear papers rustling.
Stuff like that just might happen
because this is a raw podcast, and I
wanted to do it with threads in mind.
I wanted to do it with creativity in mind.
I want to do it with life in mind.
Hence, the name Creativity Threads Life.
So this first one is gonna be just
a little bit of an introduction,
a behind the scenes, a, uh,
start off point for the rest.
It's not a trailer.
I might do Trailer for this later, but
this is just gonna be an introductory
podcast letting you all know who I
am, what I'm about, what we're gonna
talk about, and I'm gonna still
make it exciting in all of that.
So first of all, my name is Mr Benja.
Some of you know me, some of you do not.
You might know me from the art scene.
You may know me from the video game arena.
You may know me from, I don't know,
uh, talking noise in in chat rooms, on
on on fan base or something like that.
I don't know where you know me from.
But if you do know me,
thank you for joining along.
If you don't know me, Thank
you for joining along.
This is gonna be a podcast
journey, audio only for the moment.
I I think that, um, there's a few
reasons why I wanna do audio only
and I'll get into that later.
But first off, this is a
podcast in this new era.
Right now, a lot of stuff is going on.
AI is changing things.
The economy is doing things.
Uh, we've got the election coming up.
Uh, it's two thousand
twenty three right now.
We got an election coming up
for two thousand twenty four.
Social media in general
is in a weird place.
The macro social media concept
as we know it is on the decline,
and something new is happening.
I'm not sure anybody's Exactly sure.
I've been following along with what Gary
v is talking about, what Zuck's talking
about, Masary from from from Instagram
and threads, what he's been talking about.
Obviously, things are happening
over on x slash Twitter.
So there's a lot going on in social
media, but There's a changeover of some
sort happening, and it's about time for
that too because we're going on what, I
wanna say, Twenty years proper of of what
what social media is, has become, and,
You know, it's it's it's time for for it
to morph into something else, I suppose.
Maybe that's what I'm saying.
I don't know.
Social media is in a weird place.
I think the companies are wanting
to get certain things out of it,
and the people are wanting to get
certain things out of social media.
So you have this rift, and it's
causing a sense of unknown.
We don't know what to do next.
What's happening?
Hey.
Let me just get online and have fun
versus the companies Are saying, hey.
Let me just get as much money and
data as I can out of these people.
And that's at a bit of a that's
at a bit of a crossroads, at a bit
of a intersection, if you will.
They're they're they're gonna have
to deal with that and figure out what
they wanna do with these platforms.
But right now, we're in a weird Spot.
So I'm here to chronicle all
that in a very basic platform.
I didn't want to marry this
podcast to Threads necessarily,
but I'm starting on threads.
That's why I'm calling it
Creativity Threads Life.
And let me break down the
the title really quickly.
Uh, Creativity Threads Life.
I've been on this this kick of
creativity since I was a kid.
Uh, I created board games
back in back in Florida.
I created video video games,
computer games, card games.
You know, when when our when we
were outside with the kids, we'd
create variations on tag and
different games we could play.
We would be in the mall,
and we'd play, hey.
Let's see who can find whatever first
and be in the grocery store, me and my
brother and sisters, and we would, hey.
Let's see if we can find, you know,
this one thing first when we when
we ran into a new grocery store.
So we all I was always playing games and
making up entertaining creative ventures.
Right?
And that's just been with
me all through my life.
Came up with a very creative family,
ended up getting into computers and
studying the whole computer science
thing so I could make video games
and be even more creative, because
I felt computers and technology
were the way creativity was going.
But I don't mean this to say I was
involved in, like, just being weird.
I actually wanted to create things.
And at some point, I don't know when
it was, at some point, I started
to create to create, uh, an idea of
creativity, a perception of creativity
that was based on life itself, where
creativity is synonymous with life.
As you create, as you build, as you
Construct things, you start to realize
that you're basically acting in life's
primary function, which is creation, which
is bringing about more of what you are.
You're expressing yourself.
You're bringing things out.
You're trying to put more of
yourself into the universe.
So a lot of people think about
creativity in very limited ways.
I tend to try to think of it as
a very broad and holistic thing.
To me, creativity does not mean you have
purple hair and neon Neon glasses or
neon frames to your glasses, it doesn't
mean that you walk around the streets
of San Francisco playing a flute doesn't
mean that you've got a crazy hairstyle.
You could very well be a creative that
lives in Arkansas, in a very simple life.
And when time comes for you to
do something, you're like, hey.
Listen.
I have a solution.
I can take my resource,
and I can build something.
I can create something because
I have that creative ability.
So for me, somebody who is creative
is somebody who is bringing something
from nothing or at least building
something from very limited resources.
You're being resourceful.
You're taking a situation, taking pieces
of it, taking elements of the situation,
combining them, reconstructing them,
reconfiguring them, re amalgamating
them into something new and interesting.
And, yes, I will get creative
with my use of the words.
Uh, I don't know if re
amalgamating has offended anybody.
Shout out to the grammar girl on threads,
but I'm gonna use words like that anyway
because I'm trying to express myself.
So I'll get creative with the words there.
Anyway, point is to say
anybody can be creative.
Are you Are you a mother?
Are you creating a happy household?
Are you a father?
Are you creating a sustainable
Yard, are are you landscaping?
You know, are you out there figuring
out how to make your yard work without
jacking up the water bill because
you're spending All this money on
sprinklers and an irrigation system.
Are you a are you a creative teacher?
Do you have limited means and
you're still doing very great
things with your students?
Are you a creative coworker?
Have you figured out ways to set
up meetings where everybody is
is learning, where everybody is
productive and moving forward?
These are the ways that I'm
thinking about creativity.
Whether you whether or not you
are considered an artist or a
quote, unquote creative to me.
And for the purposes of this
podcast, creativity is that which
allows you to do more with what
you have and create something new.
So that's pretty much it for me
in terms of what creativity is.
So I know you are creative, but to
what extent is the is the question.
To what length will you go or can you
extend to build something, to make
something happen, to push something into
this world where it exists, where it
works, where it continues to to thrive
and maybe maybe even creates other works
on top of that, meaning it replicates
just like any good viral thing does
or any good biological system does.
It begins to replicate if it's a if
it's a decent and strong creation.
So with that, I just want to give
you that little introduction on
my idea of creativity, a little
bit about where I come from.
Uh, I'll probably be going into more
versions of my history later on.
I'll probably be going into more
discussions on what creativity is
in various aspects of life later on.
I'm gonna keep doing these regularly.
And one of the things with creating
this podcast is that I wanted to jump
in and really, really start nailing
in on Lot of these topics, but there
were so many that I couldn't I couldn't
figure out how I wanted to structure it.
And I realized that a week, You know, a
weekly podcast wasn't gonna do it for me.
I realized that a a daily podcast
might be a little too much, So
maybe I'll do four in a week.
I'll see I'll see how that can go.
I don't wanna edit these too much,
So I'm not doing video, as I said.
And, also, video is distracting, so
that is messing up my creative process
when I'm trying to create, and then
I Worry about looking at the camera.
I can't just look off into space.
I can't look down at my notes.
I have to have the certain me to the
camera persona, and that messes up the
flow that I'm trying to achieve here.
I can do that in person just fine,
But doing it off camera, doing it
just live with audio, I think we can
come up with a different Vibe here.
I think there's a strength in audio only.
Maybe you're in the gym listening to this.
Maybe you're on a commute
listening to this.
Or maybe you just wake up and
you're in the house cleaning.
Listen.
I'm gonna knock it out for An
hour, you can listen to each
of the topics individually.
You can skip around.
There really is not gonna be any order to
it, and we're just gonna go from there.
Hope that sounds well to you.
Hope that sounds great because
that's what we're gonna end up doing.
And as I said, this is
coming from threads.
So let me give you a little
background on threads right quick.
Uh, threads is great for
creators, especially.
If you are not on threads
yet, I implore you to jump on.
I'm not sure how the account
generation works right now.
They're changing a lot of things.
But, basically, if you have an Instagram
account that's replicated and you
automatically get a threads account.
So I wanna see how they how they deal
with these accounts and, uh, setting
up your your your profiles and things.
I wanna see how that develops later on,
but right now, get an Instagram account.
You don't even have to use the
Instagram account, and then you
should be able to just create Your
threads account from Instagram.
Or if you're on threads dot
net, it should say, hey.
You wanna create account?
And it'll ask you to log in
through Instagram or whatever.
I forgot how the case is at this
very exact moment, but it's a pretty
simple process considering you
already have an Instagram account.
Anyway, I started on threads,
and I realized that it was
a very creative community.
Now After the initial launch, you
know, a bunch of people got on there.
Nothing was really going on, and
everybody kind of Got in, looked
around, said there's nothing
going on here, and everybody left.
And that was kind of a shame
because it left the It left the
whole community just in the dark.
Nobody knew how to find anybody else.
It was like the very, very early days
of Twitter, but worse, or was it worse?
Probably wasn't worse than Twitter
because Twitter was very Twitter
had its own little community kinda
built in right from the GetGo.
But with threads, it was
really hard to find anybody
talking about much of anything.
And they've slowly started to
fix that with the for you page.
They're they've just added tags now.
They don't wanna call them tags,
but there are these topics and
that you can tag and jump into.
Those aren't really doing awesome things,
but they're they're getting there.
I know NBA threads is is doing well.
Shout out to to that.
The generic threads topic
doesn't even make any sense.
It's it's people just
posting and I don't know.
People aren't sure of
how to use tags just yet.
They're Just doing stuff.
Some people are using it like you
would if you want a bold text.
You know, they decide,
let me let me tag this.
It'll be bold and blue,
and it'll look cool.
And it has no relevance to
the actual topic at hand.
They're just bolding stuff.
And then the search didn't
help out that much either.
So it's still coming along.
Anyway, back to the point.
But I got on threads, and I really saw the
possibility for a great community there.
I saw the possibility
for new things happening.
And I enjoyed that.
I really liked it.
I was like, okay.
There are people here
who are who are talking.
They're Not arguing as much nonsense
as on other social platforms.
They're not spewing news and
Random links all of the time.
People are open to having a
little bit more of a discussion
here, and that really excited me.
So I wanted to take the opportunity
to stop what I was doing everywhere
else and say, you know what?
I'm gonna go all in on threads.
And I made this declaration on
threads, And people are like, oh, yeah.
All in on threads.
Me too.
And I'm like, yeah.
Yeah.
No.
You don't understand.
I'm going all in on threads where
threads is going to be my primary
instrument of information dissemination.
I'm going to start all
my thoughts on threads.
I'm going to start all my Conversations
on threads, and that's gonna be the
top of the content delivery funnel.
And we'll talk about content and media and
art later on, but I wanted to be the top
piece of content the top the top starting
point where all my information information
was gonna come from, where all all my
connectivity was going to sprout from.
In fact, I started so So hard into
this process that somehow, I think,
Meta, the owners of Threads, thought
I was Spamming or something and
ended up getting flagged and put
into a a Threads jail very early on.
And the only way I could figure out
how to get out of that appropriately
was to actually buy a blue check.
So now I have a blue I didn't want
a blue check, but, apparently,
for customer support and security,
it's good to have a blue check.
Now I have one.
Yes.
I'm one of those people
who pay for a blue check.
That's the reason why.
I wasn't planning on getting one
till I had ten thousand followers,
but I got one a little early.
Never can be too early.
Right?
So yes.
We are going all in on threads.
The idea is an inversion of
Gary v's content strategy.
A lot of people have this content
strategy, And, uh, I'm not here
to make a content strategy podcast
or declaration or anything.
Um, you know, you make content
as you make posts as you feel.
But there's this idea that you create
this long piece of content, maybe a speech
or you're on stage speaking somewhere
or you make a YouTube video, and that's
your pillar content, they would call it.
And then you break that up into
chunks, and you turn that into podcast.
You turn that into Quips, you
turn that into YouTube Shorts.
You turn that into TikToks.
You turn that into pictures,
etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
Yeah.
That seems cool and everything, but
it didn't seem as genuine to me.
So I wanted to completely
invert that process.
And this is and this is me explaining my
creativity live in real time with this
introduction, and it's gonna explain why
I'm doing things the way I'm doing them.
I saw threads as a way to
microblog and micropost.
And instead of creating This large pillar
piece of content that I break up and edit
and try to disseminate all the different
platforms, which is what marketers would
have you do to flood all the all the
outlets with all of your information.
What I want to do is
focus in a unfocused way.
I want to focus on putting out
little bits of information.
And I wanted to focus on interacting
here and there, replying here and there,
jumping around the platform, and learning
what I could about different people
who are posting different creatives,
different thought leaders, different
people with different opinions, and
just figure out what was going on on
a very micro scale And just keep on
plugging away at it here and there.
And if I find something interesting
that hits or if I say something that
gets a certain type of response that
I Maybe wasn't expecting or wasn't
expecting to grow as it did, then
all of a sudden I'll take that piece
of content and maybe Repost it in a
different way or continue on that idea.
Add to that conversation.
Make some replies.
Ask some more questions.
And once I see a a thought
building up, maybe then I'll
make a long form post about it.
A six, seven, seven part
post maybe goes on Threads.
That becomes good enough
to to turn over to my blog.
So now it's it's in my blog.
Maybe I have enough of a conversation
where it seems interesting,
And I'm like, you know what?
I made a post about the environment.
Maybe I should post a picture
of some trees to my Instagram.
So now I've got ideas coming through
threads, and they're going to my blog,
and they're going to my Instagram.
Maybe I start posting about jobs, and
then becomes interesting enough where I
post some of that information or a version
of that information over to LinkedIn.
Or maybe I'm doing a recording
session, and I'm recording
some Some short form video.
Where do I get all the
short form video ideas from?
It's stuff that I would
have posted on threads.
So now I have this way of Taking
all my ideas, funneling them through
threads, and then it gets disseminated
to my blog, to my YouTube, to Hi.
TikTok.
Uh, I don't have TikTok anymore.
Don't look for me there.
Um, my my account's basically defunct,
but I just mentioned it anyway.
To YouTube, to Facebook,
wherever, Snapchat, Tumblr.
I don't care.
But the point is, I'm not trying to
maximized for YouTube anymore because
YouTube is the place where to be.
I'm not trying to maximize for
Facebook because Facebook has
all this ad revenue that it could
bring me if I do my ads right.
I'm not trying to optimize for
Instagram to go viral on their reels.
The point is I want to have Good little
bits of information thrown out there
that connect with the right people.
And if they do, then I'll
keep I'll keep hammering.
I'll keep poking.
I'll keep tinkering with those ideas
and little bits of thought on threads,
and then I'll grow it and put it where
it goes in its appropriate basket,
whether that's a LinkedIn basket,
YouTube basket, or anything else.
So, yes, a total inversion of, like,
like the Gary v content pillar idea.
Hopefully, that made sense.
If it didn't, uh, get get back with me
on threads, make a comment or whatever.
Um, also, I even the podcast.
Even this podcast that I'm
recording is coming from threads.
So I'm I will have discussions on threads.
They'll become enough of a thing
to me where I'm like, okay.
I can move this to a complete podcast.
And then I'll sit down and
record it like I am today.
But what if I'm having a complete
podcast thought or what if I'm
having a complete Video thought.
Do I just make the video?
Sure.
I might.
But once I have that thought, The
idea is to take it, put that thought
into threads or into the threads
community, see what they say, Because
I'm not gonna have a thought about a
podcast and just immediately do it.
I'll have much more of an
opportunity to post to threads
before I start my recording.
So even if I know I'm gonna do a video,
I'll post the video idea to threads.
And then while I'm setting up my
microphone, my camera, or whatever,
By the time I get to the microphone,
that idea has already had a chance to
bounce around threads for a little bit.
So, yes, I'm calling this
the threads content strategy.
I may formalize this a little more,
uh, go into a little more detail
on how you can make it work for
you, whatever the case may be.
Get at me if you think
that sounds interesting.
So yeah.
Threads is cool.
It's, uh, it it's catching up.
It it went through a bit of an
early stumble, I guess you would
call it an early kind of a rough
patch after we got all the news.
Uh, I think people people ran away
very early on because They said new
social media network, and they pulled
all the users over from Instagram.
Everybody from Instagram was
used to pictures, and they're
like, what the hell is this?
I don't see anything but text.
Nobody's saying anything.
This is stupid.
I'm leaving.
So we had a big exodus of people who
stopped using the app, and now it's It's
even become a joke now if you ask, hey.
What's going on?
Is anybody here?
Hello.
Is this thing on?
If anybody asks a question like that,
feel free to flame them politely
and, you know, have fun with them,
but that's what happened to people.
They were assuming It would play out a
certain way or they were just going to be
able to post pictures like they were doing
on Instagram and have them get traction.
So I I don't know.
It it was a weird time.
And you also end up with a lot of
marketers on threads because, you
know, Um, there was a lot of attention
there, so a lot of marketers showed up.
A lot of the a lot of
NFT people showed up.
A lot of expats showed up.
Can we call them that?
X, uh, uh, x xers, x twidots, x tweeters,
People who ran away from Twitter or were
just trying to find another platform.
Who all showed up on on, uh, threads?
Or, uh, you know, people who were
fed up with trying to make blue
sky and mastodon really work.
They ended up on threads too.
A lot of these people were
creative, so you you had a lot of
these random people showing up.
And I'm glad they did show up,
but, We're still trying to figure
out what it means to be on threads
and what it means to to thread.
What it what the creative
community there means.
Uh, seeing a lot of tech people,
seeing a lot of creative people,
seeing a lot of, What do you call them?
Spiritual people, for
lack of a better term.
Very, very motivational spiritual people.
It's almost getting to the point where
I I wanna mute some of those accounts
because all they do is say, hey.
The sunshine is shining.
Get a little bit The
tivity we talked about.
Might do a whole episode
on toxic positivity too.
But, yeah, this is the
state of threads right now.
People are still just figuring
Figure out what it is on threads.
So we're twenty minutes into this
one and giving you some background,
giving you some information.
And what what can you do on threads?
Maybe that's a good question.
What can you do on threads?
Why are you there?
What are you hoping to gain?
What is it going to do for you?
This may be the very last social
media platform of its type.
Mentioned earlier that social media
was on its macro decline, and we're not
sure where it's going to end up next,
what What type of apps will come out?
What type of communities will be built?
These aren't the social media
platforms we Fellow aren't really
community platforms at all, by the way.
They're blogging and social platforms,
but if you're talking about a community,
That's more like a Discord community,
a Facebook groups community, your
your school community with the s k o
o l or maybe your circle communities.
Get a few Patreon communities too.
But this is not really I wouldn't
call threads a community platform.
So I'm saying that this
is the last of its kind.
There may be another social media
network that comes out, but I
think we're seeing the last of
this type of social media Presence.
From now on, everything's gonna
evolve into something else.
I think you're gonna evolve more
into unity based system that maybe
you need to pay for to access.
You know, maybe you need to put
money into a community where it's
literally a pay gated community.
You keep people out who aren't paying.
Elon Musk is trying that with with x.
There are definitely already paid
communities out there in a lot of the
marketing, sales, real estate circles.
A lot of professional circles
have paid communities already.
And, yeah, with with the verification
marks, uh, the check marks, you
You kind of have to pay into it if
you want that level of access also.
So I'm not sure where all of
that's gonna go, but I'm going to
enjoy threads while we're there.
And even if I'm not on threads in
that Way in a big way in the future.
This podcast is gonna go on.
Because the idea about it was,
once again, and that creativity
threads through all of life.
That creativity goes into all
different aspects, Sports, schooling,
education, finance, health, fitness.
No matter what the topic, No matter
what arena of life, I think that
creativity has been put on the back
burner, and it needs to come back.
So with whatever I do on threads
and whatever community I build on
top of this or after this, I want
you to know that this podcast is all
about the creativity in your life.
If you've got a certain topic you want
me to discussed Get At Me On threads.
If you have a certain thing you want
me to bring up or break down or even
just question, Get at me on threads.
I may even try to make this
like an old school radio show.
In fact, I plan on going
live with this at some point.
Right now, I'm just recording
offline, and then I'll upload later.
But I do plan on going live at some
point, So we may have to figure
out a time of day or schedule
throughout the week to do that.
But the point is, We're in an era
right now where you can't afford
to not have your voice out there.
We're in an era where you have to Express
yourself not just with your art, but with
your message, with your your content.
Now your content is not your art.
Don't don't get that confused.
The word content was around in terms
of media well before people started
talking about content creators.
Content creators are a whole another thing
from creatives, although there is overlap,
but they're they're a separate thing.
They have their own World.
The content creator world
is something of of its own.
You start getting into
influencers and marketers and
promoters and things like that.
On the other side,
you'll have your artist.
All of this all of this
we're gonna get into.
Gosh.
There's so many topics
to talk about for this.
So many.
And let me let me check right now.
I actually just I actually made a post
a second ago on threads, uh, seeing
if anybody had any see if anybody
wanted to get shouted out right quick.
Um, you know, um, I gotta I gotta
shout out the the Be Better Academy.
Be Better Academy is one of the on the
self improvement Accounts out there doing
good things, definitely rock with them.
Brandpower dot co.
No e in that, by the way.
Just brand power doing
logos, doing crazy things.
Karsten Ashley Bush is out
there doing awesome things.
Brian m x thirty four,
hydraulics twenty three.
Yeah, man.
I'm liking what's happening
with the threads right now.
So shout out to everybody following along,
reposting, engaging, and keeping the
keeping the open community alive, man.
It's it's it's necessary.
So yeah.
Um, I'll definitely be doing that.
Maybe maybe I should do some sort
of viewer mail, uh, and I'll open
up an email address maybe where
longer thoughts can be posted.
Maybe I'll just keep it
on threads right now.
You guys give me your suggestions
as we know as as we go along because
these are gonna be this is gonna
be a fluid and organic process.
I I want this to grow organically with
the with the community in mind, with
the people that I'm talking to in mind.
This is going to be my outlet,
my audio outlet after threads.
So you talk to me on threads.
You'll come back.
You'll find out how I've disseminated
and collected and collated and organize
all that information into this podcast.
I'm excited about this.
Uh, I I don't exactly know how How
this introduction is supposed to
go, but this is how it's going.
In fact, I should probably
cut it off right now.
I have I'm in half an hour in,
and this is just an introduction.
So let me just go through my notes
to make sure I covered everything.
Yes.
It's a great outlet, and, um, it's about
creativity, t art design development.
Yes.
Yes.
We all know gang gang.
Uh, what is creativity?
Yep.
We discussed that.
We may even To that further,
we're not feeler makers.
We're not we're not content creators.
Got all that.
So yeah.
Um, I guess I I can give you a
little Bit of a preview of what's
gonna what's gonna come up.
We'll keep this one short since
it's just an introductory episode.
But listen.
We're gonna cover creativity as a whole.
We're gonna tell some stories
about creativity, some lessons
about creativity, some tips.
I've been, As I said, a
creator all of my life.
I was a programmer and
designer of video games.
I did some consulting, some I I even
worked for a toy company at one point.
So there's a lot of stuff that, uh,
that's happened that I'll that I
think Gives me just this platform
to to talk about creativity.
So we're gonna talk about that.
Entrepreneurship, which has been the
latest study of mine for It's always
been fascinating, the whole sales,
marketing, promotion, branding,
sales, all that side of things.
It's always fascinated me, but I've
never really, really delved into it.
And I don't think a lot of creatives have.
But in the past ten years maybe,
I've really gone deep with it.
And it's been a great journey.
So we definitely wanna
Discuss entrepreneurship here.
Maybe have some entrepreneurs on at
some point to do some interviews.
And that's a good one.
If you want me to interview somebody
or or something comes up in particular
that you think matches with the
vibe of this podcast, let me know.
We're gonna be going over some
design, some art development, Maybe
some retro games, some heroes,
like superheroes, anime, talk about
mindset, some some nonsense even.
I was about to curse on here because I've
been I haven't been cursing on threads.
That's It's kinda concerning for me
because I'm only not cursing because
I know the algorithm doesn't like it.
I used to curse a lot, but now the
algorithm has kind of trained me not to.
So now I don't feel I can totally be
myself on here on threads that is.
But now that's I realized
that's just bled over into my
content creation for the audio.
Interesting.
I just kinda had a realization
right there on the air, by the way.
So yeah.
If you can do me a favor now, I
would like one thing from you.
That is to subscribe to this podcast.
I want This podcast to go out,
and I want you to subscribe
on Spotify, Apple Podcast, or
however you listen to podcasts.
I know a few of you are that
I know fans of Podbean, so I
always gotta shout out Podbean.
But definitely Spotify, Apple
Podcast, Podbean, or any other
podcast player that you like.
Uh, lot of lot of people said,
uh, Overcast was a good podcast
was a good podcast service.
I used that myself.
Uh, I didn't know We're on that.
Castbox is also very big.
You find the you find the
Spotify um, you find the podcast
player that works Best for You.
Stick with that.
Subscribe, like, share.
I want this to go out and
start really affecting people.
I want this to be the Be the rallying
point for creative discussion.
I think there's so much
we can do with creativity.
I think there's so much that we can
not just fix, but I think there's
so many things we can build with
this idea of creativity first.
I know we're talking about money first.
I get that.
I totally get it.
Money makes the world go I hear people
talking about, well, let me get my
health, my mental health in order.
I get that.
I I really do.
I've worked a lot on my mental health And
my my personal constitution, I understand.
And there's so many things that
people want to Talk about, but I
don't hear enough people talking
about getting into the habit of of
just creating the life that you want.
Not on some self improvement cake, but
thinking to yourself, this is my life.
This is my house.
This is my car.
This is my physique.
This is my mind.
This is my spirit.
How can I create all
of these things Better?
If you're at a job, you're not
just there to get a paycheck.
You're hopefully there because because
you're trying to create a better you.
You're try maybe you're
trying to learn some things.
Maybe you can create a better learning
experience while you're at the job.
Even if you don't like your job, maybe
you can create better friendships.
Maybe you can create a way of working that
trains you in what you want to be trained.
I mean, I remember hearing a
story, uh, from Grant Cardone.
He's talking about how he
went to work at McDonald's.
And Grant Cardone was at
McDonald's, and he hated the job.
He hated smelling like Fries when he
went home, he hated the customer service.
He hated cleaning up.
He hated the same old, you know,
Brown floor and yellow arches.
He hated smiling when he didn't want to.
He just hated the whole vibe of it.
But he mentioned there was another
guy there who loved it, and that
guy loved McDonald's because he was
trying to learn everything about the
company so he could become a successful
McDonald's Donald franchise owner.
And all this was was a different
way of looking at things.
This guy who wanted to become a
successful franchise owner had
created a situation for himself, a
mindset, a way of looking at things
that created a better life for him.
He was able to learn, Hey.
Let me how do we do this correctly?
What do different stores do?
How does inventory tracking work?
What's food safety about?
How can we keep a clean environment?
How can we We avoid having
arguments and fights.
How can we treat customers
better while still maintaining
our mental health ourselves?
This guy had a completely
different view than Grant did,
and that's what you should do.
That's creating a life for yourself,
Figuring out how to take what you
have in whatever situation, whatever
resources you have, or whatever where
you think you don't have and still
create something good from that point.
That's creativity, and
that's what I wanna Into.
I'm gonna be getting goofy with this,
and I'm gonna be getting heavy with this.
I'm gonna be getting social
with this, and I'm going to be
getting very personal with this.
I'm going to be getting
spiritual and logical.
I'm gonna be jumping on all of
these topics, but they're We're
all going to have the underlying
current and the pervading thread
of creating a better Life.
And with that, I wanna end this episode,
and thank you for joining along.
This has been Creativity Threads
Life, the introductory episode.
Please get at me and follow along.
This is gonna be fun, and I wanna have
you all along for the ride with me.
