I’m Reagan Glidewell, here to start off your week with major headlines and what’s coming up.

It’s Monday, March 2.

Happy Spring Break everyone! The events we will report on today will take place as soon as we all come back. So, mark your calendars for all of the wonderful events coming up next week.

But for now, let’s take a look at what stories we have from last week at Biola.

The track season is underway! The team has many stellar athletes this season and one in particular who is coming in with the bar set high. After a record-breaking freshman season and a national podium finish in the hurdles, sophomore track & field athlete (Eh-bo-se-lulu) Eboselulu Omofoma says her faith is the reason she competes. For Omofoma, every race is about growth, confidence, and giving glory to God. Keep your eye out for meets to come, records broken, and great performances from the track team this season.

Baseball is also underway with a long season ahead. Senior business major Nico Hagadorn comes back in full spring after his freshman year injury. Hagadorn has not played a consistent season since his freshman year. Excited to play on the field again, Hagadorn notices how the skills he’s learned off the field has made him a better player overall, and looks forward to being a leader amongst the underclassmen as well.

Next Friday, March 13 at 7:30 PM the Conservatory of music will host the Faculty Trio Concert at Lansing Recital Hall. There will be performances by Elizabeth Larson, violin, Keith Williams, cello, Li-shan Hung, piano, and with violist David Kang. Next Thursday, Engage X, a new speaker series hosted by the Crowell School of Business, will be showcasing Aaron Coldiron from Microsoft and Johnny Wesolowski from NIKE. Engage X brings business leaders to talk about relevant industry topics, advancements and projects. For 2026, the series is focusing on using AI.

Pulchrum Conference 2026 will kick off March 14 and will host various events from 10:30am-7:30 pm. The conference focuses on how art becomes a witness to resurrection—revealing hope, truth and glory when the veil is lifted. It is a paid event, so check out the link in our show notes for more information.

March 15 at 5 PM the Conservatory of music will also host the University and Women’s Choruses at Linsing Recital Hall. The University Chorus, under the direction of John Tebay and the Women's Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Shawna Stewart present an evening of choral music.
