We explore stories of mystical adventure, inner transformation, and a little bit of fire – sometimes literally.
This show is about pushing limits into the unknown, discovering who we really are in the process, and celebrating the moments of connection that make us feel more alive.

Welcome back, The Alighted Way. If you are enjoying the Dragon Stories, please consider subscribing, rating, reviewing. We truly appreciate your support. We are going to jump from the frying pan straight into the flames of a different fire in this next episode, as Janelle shares a vision she received of a dragon egg being gifted to her and ultimately ending up with three baby dragons in Greece on part of the dragon line in 2023. This show is about pushing limits into the unknown, discovering who we really are, and celebrating the moments that make us feel alive. So let's get into it.
Janelle 00:53
So just a quick recap: in episodes 15 and 16, you arm chair traveled with me as I went across southern England, following the Michael Mary lines, the following year in 2018, I traveled to Japan, where I wanted to see and experience as many Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples as possible, because I wanted to fill my accordion style book for shrines and temples with a beautiful decorative calligraphied red stamp. Each one is hand done, very individual. It's a wonderful keepsake when you travel in Japan, and they're spiritual proof of your pilgrimage to these wonderful sites, as monks and priests write details of their specific shrine or temple. So, just to clarify, maybe some of you haven't been to Japan before. Shinto is the indigenous faith of Japan and the Japanese people, and they have shrines as well as torii gates that mark the entrance to each shrine. When you pass through this gate, you are to bow before entering the gate, and then you are purified and cleansed of bad energy before meeting the gods that reside there. It's to ensure that only positive energies are brought into the place, and then when you exit, you bow again. Buddhism is not far behind in numbers and followers with the temples behind Shinto, according to Korra, combined there are approximately 156,000 total shrines and temples in Japan. That is a schwack. Just to give those numbers of Shinto to Buddhism, there's approximately 75,800 Buddhist temples, and there's about 81,000 Shinto shrines. These numbers are based on the Religious Statistics Survey. However, myself and my family only made it to 13 total between the Shinto shrines and the Buddhist temples. Even with the stamps as incentive, our daughter became templed and shrined out, sort of like in Europe, where you become cathedraled out after seeing so many of them. If you ever find yourself in Japan? Make sure you go to the Meiji Shinto Shrine in Tokyo. There's beautiful energy there, and if you have time, I would highly, highly recommend to take a ferry across to Miyajima Island. It is magical, beautiful. The Tori Gate and the island itself. I just loved being there. However, I was not following any dragon lines in Japan. To be clear, dragons were not on my mind officially, cause it was a family vacation. However, I made an effort to go and see an amazing dragon-filled ceiling in a temple, and I bought the odd dragon souvenir here and there. Japan is part of the East tradition around dragons, much like China. Dragons have a special place in their culture and legends, and there's a deep respect and honoring of them. At this point, you might be thinking, "Hey, Janelle, you haven't even mentioned the dragon egg yet. I'm getting to it in Japan. Let's start there. I had a vision of a dragon egg being gifted to me. I brought it home and accessed it energetically, so it it wasn't like it was physically in my house. In my mind's eye, in a vision, I could see it. And when it was ready, it broke open itself, and then I was to raise and care for this little male dragon. He was to stay with me for a while. It was sort of like a two-way street. Those that may not have followed from the beginning, episode three, I talk about Orchow, the dragon from Bhutan, who lived with me for a while as a little one, the Japan dragon. He was all over and very rambunctious in visions I had of him. I do not know who gave me the egg and the following eggs after that, it was like a veil, and I couldn't see through. So sometimes I just hear a voice telling me things.
Janelle 06:10
In this case, the voice said, "In total, I would be given nine dragon eggs to care for. They come as eggs, and when the time is right. They hatch open themselves, and the little dragons emerge. And then I would care for the little dragons until they were to be delivered places in the world on the dragon lines. So far, I have only received six eggs. The first dragon egg in Japan became a boy, the second and third eggs that showed up at my house in visions when I was home. They hatched and lively girls emerged for two and three. The fourth was a small sleepy boy dragon who did not seem ready to go with the other two feisty girls to Greece, but those are the three. All three of them, the two girls and the boy, went with me to Greece in 2023. As I was going around the different places of Greece, the dragons would indicate that that wasn't the right place until we got to Delos, and then they were like, "Okay, we're getting off here. And there's a whole other story around that process of what happened in Delos. A friend of mine helped me with that dragon work from a distance, and so I plan on having her share on with me in a future episode in episode 19, actually, Delos being a very special place, which I've talked about for multiple reasons, but it it has three currents of the energy currents coming together there, and that it mirrors the three currents of energy in Avebury in England. Let's just go from there. I just wanted to answer some questions that you may be having in your minds. The first one is just to talk a little bit about the caring for the dragons, what that looked like. Their care happened in visions. When I would connect in with them daily, I gave them love. I gave them attention. It did not take a lot of time checking in with them, but I opened myself up to them. If they needed anything from my database of knowledge about humans, or anything else that I've accumulated over my lifetime here, or about my evolution in this life, or any other knowledge or wisdom. I fully gave them permission that they could access anything that they needed out of all of that, from the spring of 2023 to the summer of 2024, two other eggs arrived at my home and eventually hatched into two girl dragons, who then came with me to Roslyn Chapel. Roslyn, as I've said before in other podcasts, it's considered to be a dragon temple. I will delve deeper into Roslyn in a future episode, but just to let you know, we have 26 episodes total for this year, and of course, the year ends in December. Since the summer of 2024, I have felt like a bit of an empty nester with the dragons, but I was coming at this work from another angle. For those two years, Colleen and myself were creating this dragon podcast, and I created. Needed a dragon course. Dragons have never been far from me, just in different capacities. To give birth to both of those things, it felt like a full-on process, like any mother bringing new life into the world. I was tired after, but felt fulfilled, and I'm very proud that we're on episode 17, and I get to share a bit of my story, but that I also get to hear other people's stories, so that we can learn from each other. The next thing you may ask is why I was involved at all in this process, and I do not have clear answers even to this day. That is what the podcast is about: figuring the mystery out piece by piece. My own thoughts around it are that dragons are capable of going anywhere on Earth, traveling in other realms, but that there's a denseness here that is not easy for them to be around. Why do they need human involvement with their eggs and baby dragons being assigned certain places along the dragon lines around the world? Those humans who are open to it have the opportunity to work in this realm with the dragons, in the next episode, I am so excited. It's episode 18, and I interview Tanis's Helliwell. She's a fellow Canadian. She's wrote several books on this topic.
Janelle 11:36
The one that we're going to be delving into for that episode is *The Dragon's Tale, but she's also wrote Hybrids, So You Think You're Human, which I am reading presently and am really enjoying her take on things. And I also listened to the audio of The Summer with the Leprechauns, which I found very informative. It was a hoot to listen to. She's a very good storyteller. She goes into a lot more detail about dragons working closely with humans and her take on why it is happening. So I encourage you to read the books that I've just listed, which are hers in particular. In that interview, and so far along the way, the closest I have come to someone doing something similar to me is Jodi, but she does not deal with dragon eggs. She is a keeper of dragons and sends them to different humans who need help or protection. The search for answers continues, and I'm glad that you are my companions on this road.
Colleen 12:48
Hi, it's Colleen here again with The Alighted Way, and we're here with another chit chat with Janelle. She is going to be talking a bit about dragon eggs today. Why don't I just jump right in then, Janelle?
Janelle 13:03
Sure,
Colleen 13:04
If that's okay with you and you're good to go.
Janelle 13:07
Yeah, good to go.
Colleen 13:08
All right. Well, you said since the summer of 2024, you've felt a bit like an empty nester with the dragons gone. What does that transition kind of feel like for you. Do you still sense them from afar, or is this connection fully complete once a dragon has reached its destination?
Janelle 13:31
If I want to, I can tune into them, but I don't feel like it's my place to tune in that often, you know, like as a hovering semi mom. You know, it's sort of like they get they get taken places or they arrive at places and they're there with with other beings, with other with other things happening. I don't really check in that often,
Colleen 14:02
but you do check in
Janelle 14:04
once in a while. When they first left and I came home, I would be like, "Are you guys okay? Okay, I see. You know, after
Colleen 14:13
the travels, right? Like, are
Janelle 14:15
you guys still okay? And then they go, "Yeah, yeah, we're fine.
Colleen 14:18
Okay, so nobody's ever reported in saying, "Mummy, we need you again, or anything like that. No, no, no. Good. We want to come back, or yeah, yeah,
Janelle 14:30
no, none of that.
Colleen 14:32
Okay, good, good. Delos, you mentioned Delos. Is that has three energy currents that mirror the three currents at Avebury, Avebury, Avebury. Thank you. Yeah. What do those currents actually feel like when you're standing there? Like, do you think is it how yeah?
Janelle 14:55
I mean, it's it's extra powerful.
Janelle 14:58
I mean, most. People when they come into that kind of energy really feel uplifted by it. If you find the right spots where the currents actually compile on the island, you can sit in meditation there. I would say it actually starts to change you with your energies and its energies, and so it sort of goes back and forth in kind of like an exchange of energies that happens when you're in the the power of the energy.
Colleen 15:34
Okay, do you think there's a physical or geological explanation to this, or do you think it is just purely energetic.
Janelle 15:41
I mean, ley lines themselves are like sort of like in the etheric field of the of the earth. Sort of like we as humans have an etheric body.
Colleen 15:53
Can you explain etheric for some of our listeners? Yeah.
Janelle 15:56
So etheric body. So it's interesting. Different people call it different things. So I had a friend that would call it like wei chi in as a Chinese term, but it was like it's a protective layer of energy around your body. I had one friend; she actually fell down some stairs, and her chest impacted on the bottom, on the pokey end of the the stair bottom, and she was saying she probably would have died, but her wei chi was strong, and it provided like a protective layer. She had to, with a concerted effort, take take a breath in and out. Once once she had been impacted, her chest had been impacted by the hit to it from the staircase pointy end.
Colleen 16:55
Glad she's okay.
Janelle 16:56
Yeah, you have like it's a protective layer around you, and so people that have surgeries, people that have cuts, those sorts of things, it cuts through the etheric field of your body, and then it's leaky, and then that's a whole other problem unto itself. Is a leaky etheric field where it doesn't protect you the way it should,
Colleen 17:20
and so that means so the Earth has something very similar to that.
Janelle 17:24
Yeah.
Colleen 17:25
Yes. Do you think it's physical or geological, or if it's purely energetic? And you were talking about the ley lines there. Yeah,
Janelle 17:31
the ley lines are in the etheric part of it. It's sort of like they're like on top in an etheric layer around the Earth.
Colleen 17:41
Okay.
Janelle 17:42
If that makes sense,
Colleen 17:43
and that's what these energy currents are coming from are those ley lines. Is that correct?
Janelle 17:48
Yes.
Colleen 17:49
Okay. Yeah.
Janelle 17:50
Yeah.
Colleen 17:50
Okay. Just wanted to clear. Absolutely. So the fourth egg hatched into a small sleepy boy dragon who didn't seem ready to travel with the two feisty girl dragons to Greece. How do you know when a dragon isn't ready? What does that reluctance look like in a vision?
Janelle 18:11
Well, I mean, what's fascinating is I was way more protective of the little boy. It was like the girls; they're fine, and I'll get into it when Kelly and I do our segment of Greece and what happened in Greece. But these beings were there to meet the dragons, and I, as a protector of them, was like, "You're going to take care of them, right? Like, especially the little boy, right? Like a little bit of a mama bear protectiveness came out, especially for little boy because he was, yeah, it was. It's like curled up, tired, sleepy. He wasn't as big. He wasn't as ready. Is the only way I can describe it.
Colleen 19:04
But and in the end, he did end up.
Janelle 19:06
Yeah, I mean, yeah, he went and
Colleen 19:10
and did you do a checkup on him too? And yeah,
Janelle 19:13
he was he was one of the ones that I'm like, are you okay? You know, good, good.
Colleen 19:18
Yeah, you said dragons were not on my mind officially in Japan since it was a family trip. Yet a dragon egg still showed up. Does this mean the dragons choose their own timing, no matter your intentions?
Janelle 19:35
Yeah, I mean, I was thinking about that because it's very. This whole journey has been kind of based on faith, going to the dragon lines, interacting with the dragon lines, but not knowing what that, in the bigger picture, looks like or means in the long term of of what work was done there or. What, how that dovetails into other things that are happening around with other people doing work, and you know you don't get to see the bird's eye view. You're asked to do your part of it, yeah, and then you don't really know how we're what that looks like
Colleen 20:20
right, yeah. When you've been doing this work, have you ever run into a similar person like yourself doing the same kind of work?
Janelle 20:29
no. And so that's where I was sort of at the end of this episode. I was sort of putting it out that the search continues. Like, am I the only one doing this with dragon eggs, or are there others out there that I'm still searching for to find to get more information about how that's gone for them or what that's looked like for them? For sure,
Colleen 20:54
yeah. So you're trying to find a community.
Janelle 20:56
Well, kind of like a community, but also like pieces of a puzzle,
Colleen 21:02
right? Right.
Janelle 21:03
It's it's like okay, I'm doing this. Somebody else might come along and go, oh, well, I I've been working on such and such, and it might dovetail in. It's exciting for me to meet people and interview them and see what they know and see what they want to share, and I'm hoping. I mean, we're at we're at episode 18, and it feels like we haven't even really scratched the surface. Oh, I yeah, I know we haven't. We're definitely
Colleen 21:35
we're just getting started tonight. Just getting started, delving
Janelle 21:39
deeper into things is where it's going to go because you can only go deeper from here.
Colleen 21:45
Yeah, that's right. Well, my last question then for you is: You've received six of the nine promised dragon eggs. Do you have any sense of where the remaining three might be headed, or does that only reveal itself one egg at a time. Maybe then you'll have triplets. I don't know.
Janelle 22:04
Well, I mean it's fascinating because if you were to have asked me, say in 2018 when I got the first egg, I had no idea what was happening. And the first egg, just to clarify for people, the first egg turned into a boy dragon, and he was with me for a little bit, and then he left. So I didn't take him anywhere. He left, and away he went. He totaled off, and that was that. And then other eggs kept coming. The next girl that came, she was one off, right? She was like feisty, and it was quite some time before the second egg came, and then she was feisty. And it wasn't until the baby boy hatched with the third one for for Delos. Even when I was in Greece, I didn't know where they were going. So it was like we would go to all of these sacred places on the dragon line, and I'd be like, "Is this it? And they'd be like, "No. But I'm like, "Okay, let's just keep going then. Then when we got to Delos, they're like, "Okay, we're getting off here. This is where we're going.
Colleen 23:15
Okay, yeah,
Janelle 23:16
yeah. So it's like that. It's oh, so
Colleen 23:19
you don't know?
Janelle 23:21
No, I do not know, and I can't even hazard a guess as far as when the the other three will come. Like they might come one-offs, or they might all come together like triplets, like what you said, and then where they need to go in the world. Ah, yeah, who knows?
Colleen 23:42
Oh. Okay. Well, I think Ireland. We need to revisit Ireland again and get out to Scalag Michael. So
Janelle 23:50
yeah,
Colleen 23:50
yeah.
Janelle 23:51
It might be full circle. It might be full circle.
Colleen 23:55
Maybe, maybe. Well, that's all the questions I have for you today on that. Do you want to add anything else?
Janelle 24:05
Maybe just that it's been quite an experience working with dragons, having them share things with me. But it's like I still don't feel like I know very much, like that. I'm still in the dark about a lot of stuff to do with dragons.
Colleen 24:26
Yeah,
Janelle 24:28
Yeah, it feels very much like when they need me to do something, they're like, "Hey, do this, and then I do it. I will wait for the next thing they need me to do and go from there.
Colleen 24:46
Yes, they. I find that with praxis, it's I have to ask direct questions. Doesn't volunteer much, just direct questions. Yeah. Yes, they're a mystery. So. Well, with that, then I guess we'll say good night and good morning wherever you might be in the world, and we'll take care. Take care.
Janelle 25:14
