Welcome to the Women in Business radio show with Sean Murphy, connecting women in business around the globe. Show and this. Yer welcome. Yeah, spend them h. I haven't seen any photoes. Yes, this is the show where Spiritual we you check. In what's happened. BYA I have everything together? Great? Yeshish my, I'm really. When you're I'm okay. Yeah. There's probably people at home listening that think, well, what does that mean? Then? So with you button in. Weite right, okay, so off you go. Okay, right, So those that don't listen in regularly. The universal month is always influenced by the universal year that we're in, So that basically means we add up the numbers of twenty twenty five, break it down into one digit, then we add on the seventh because we're now talking about July to that, and then continue breaking that down into one digit. Basically, so, although we are in the seventh month, this July twenty twenty five does also break down to the number seven as a single digit. So does that mean. Important? I think it'd have a little bit more significance and be a little bit more special in a way. It represents so many different things this number, and a lot of people do use number seven as a lucky number for whatever reason, and I think that's probably been like that for a long time now. I'm not sure that I have special numbers myself, but I know some people do. So the number seven broken down is it represents things like spirit, spiritual exploration, growth in yourself as well as you know, business, family, everything around you, so it's quite important in a lot of those ways. It's often associated with things like intuition, insight, growth and seeking deeper meanings really into not just yourself but within those around you, work, home, everything like that. And also those deeper meanings can be looking at past things and see if there's something you've missed in a sense that you want to revisit and go over. But also where are you going to go in the future with that as well, and where do you want to take that? And I haven't, so for me, it looks all. Yeah, yeah, I see yeah, ver Ry yeah, yes, Frank. If no yeah yeah yeah yeah. Freas yeah yeah yeah, it's. Yeah, looking for that deeper understanding of it all. Yeah if. Ay, oh wait day wait, come back, I really. Is what kah yeah, every yeah, maybe. He said yeah, yeah, stop analo oh yeah. Basically, yeah, that's where that comes from. The number seven also has many symbolic meanings that we might not always be thinking about, so it comes in with things like the seven colors in the rainbow, seven main chakras, seven days of the week, obviously, seven continents, and seven wonders of the world. The number seven is also featured quite extensively in Christianity and other religions, forms a basis of Western musical scales, and even down to the Roman numerological system comprises of seven letters on that there so and that sort of leads on further into spirituality and obviously other religions and things like that. So if you yourself come down to a number seven, if you knew how to do that, or within your business, it's essential really to look more intellectually and approach your life that way, or approach a business especially sift through lots of information, and we often have the information with us or know it, but over a period of time it sort of sinks deeper into the subconscious mind, doesn't It Often perhaps revisit a lot of what you may at one time have started with but either have lost it or feel that you've lost something and you're not sure where to go back and look for that in that way and. Just use it take. For yeah, yeah, amusing, yeah, and. I don't know, yeah, but it is. It seems to be a number that one of the numbers that sort of you see it and it's almost like right in your face in a way. So it's one that you will notice. And sometimes that might sound a little bit strange, because why wouldn't all the other numbers do, But there's just something about it that often is. Just there. So it's really eighteent xi. Yeah, yeah, yes, on one. Yes, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. The number seven has a numerous meanings in Judaism, Christianity. It's frequently noted in the Bible. In fact, it's listed as an essential number with spiritual significance in Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, so quite widely spread. In the Old Testament, we're aware that it said God created the world in six days while resting on the seventh day. There's seven deadly sins listed in the Bible, seven layers of purgatory, seven sacraments in the Catholic Church, seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, wisdom, and understanding. The Book of Revelation speaks of seven stars, there, seven trumpets, seven seals, there's loads loads of it, seven angels, seven churches, and seven plagues, and God bless the world on the seventh day to have the rest. Yeah. Yeah, we're just. Seeing that. Therese loads of the. Yeah, to see what might come up from that, Yeah, and see where that takes is coming up. There is, and the Book of Genesis tells us that how during the seven years of abundance, the lands produced plentiful. Seven stars are the angels of the Catholic churches, and even the sacred geometric symbol known as the cedar life consists of seven circles at the same size. So if you sort of start looking at all of that, and to some people that might sounds a lot of nonsense, but it does come up and awful up when you're looking at it like that. Nice, No it doesn't. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. It is quite widely the most used number in that sense. Awesome obvious life. I M you need to make. Yeah the number, Yeah, definitely they can yeah, yeah, you'd I see stop. Mm hmm, slide down. So launched. The new year, Yeah, yeah, j. This is. Yeah, where are we at now? The strength, so the strength of the number seven is especially good for people that have got curious mind and ask infinite questions. And I know sometimes that can just be a little bit too much, but that can also mean that you're also someone that's very impatient when waiting for your answers, so you want to try and keep pushing things forward when actually you're maybe better off looking try and find some of your own answers while you're waiting for other people, because a lot of things with other people are going to come down to their opinion as much as anything else. So and sometimes we asked other's opinion just to tell us what we already know really, so in some ways it's are you then wasting time or playing for something else in a way, And that can come sometimes if people perhaps aren't confident in what they can and can't do, or think they can and can't do, because obviously you put your mind to it, you can do most things anyway, But is it back to look at the information you've got, the knowledge you've got, and the understanding that goes with all of that, and just believe in that and build from that gradually just take that just that little bit further. Thanks, Yeah, yeah, yeah, why not have rias. I h. Yeah yeah. And seven is a very analytical number anyway, so people will naturally quite question and we're not. We're not actually that far off of July now either, We're only just over a week again. M I. Yeah, every ya. Yeah, don't listen out it is perfect I fit everything. Listen yeah. In the kah. Going hiring h m hm. M h yeah. He is, yeah, it does yeah, yeah yeah. And a lot of there is a lot, isn't there have set around different things. So life choices come and into this month is to look at the past and how far you've come, mainly and look to the future and what do you want to achieve, set yourself clear boundaries and allocate the time to work and maybe even write your goals down and what do you want to do and when by because often if you write things down and give yourself some kind of time limit, often you'll reach that more than thinking oh yeah, I'll do that, and then it can get sort of loss forgotten and that kind of thing as well. So it's always good to try and find out what do you want and set yourself those boundaries and just then allocate the specific time obviously for it as well as it's no good setting any goals or anything else if you know you've not got the time or you're not going to be able to make any kind of time for where you need to be going. Really yeah, I think. Yeah, h. Kay, yeah, yeah, it is it ef. Nine ee i uh eight. Yeah, and she's mm. Eights eight. Yeah yeah, and being an analytical number. With analytical thinking, it's a great time. If there's things you want to learn, research, explore, anything like that, it's a great time to try and bring that into it as well. In saying that, it's also a time when you need to try and factor in time for yourself, recharge your batteries, just gain a little bit more clarity on where you're going, and maybe disconnect at times from external sources and any distractions. And give yourself that rest. So in a way that's a little bit contradictory because it's telling you you can do this and this, but also at the same time you need to look after you too. Yeah, so yes, quite a lot to be doing this time. I think that your downtime should always be part of your goals or built in there somewhere, because you know, we can't just carry on ad infinitum, you know, and both as individuals and as teams in a business and hope that everything is going to be okay. Yeah, So yeah, build that, build that downtime in the trick actually as a business owner, and this may be something that you also want to help your teams with is actually taking that time off without guilt, without checking in, to put the phone down, to stop looking at the emails. So you know, as somebody who has a team, I always like to make sure that their downtime is their downtime. I make it very clear. Yes I might message you, but you should not be responding. I'm not expecting you to respond. I'm just getting something out to you. Yeah. Yeah, So you know, set some clear boundaries for your team as well as yourself. Yeah yeah. And also with that looking after you, you may be become a little bit more sensitive or emotional about other things. So if there's somebody else around you that feels like they're grabbing at you or grabbing at your energy in some way, you need to try and distance yourself a little bit further back from that. And that may be that you need to be a little bit more forceful than what you might be, especially if you're a really sensitive person and you don't like to sort of say no. Now, it would be a good month to sort of bring that in a little bit. I think there are different ways of saying no than actually saying no. Yeah yeah, But ultimately what we're talking about is saying no and meaning it yeah yeah. Isn't it is? However, however you verbalize the no, thing is, it's about actually getting it done, Isn't it? Is? It is? Yeah. A good career, especially if you want to change your career, and that's what you're looking at right now. A good career centered around the number is things like science or teaching and just something that you can really excel at but also deliver that to other people around you as well, not just keeping it for you in a sense. So even things like counseling and things like that come into this and sort of can moving forward quite in quite a big way. And sometimes depending on our ages, we might find that, you know where not wanting to retrain, but in other ways there can be that driven urge to change. So if that's where you're at, you're not really sure now would be a really good time to start making those decisions and looking at ways around what you may or may not be able to do, especially if it means you need to retrain in something or you want to retrain in something as well. And it could also be not about sort of wholesale retraining. You want to bolt something onto what you're already doing. So sometimes we have, for instance, massage therapists who want to add something like healing, they want to add reiki into what they're offering. It could be that if you are maybe helping businesses with their systems and processes, you know, it could be that you're excellent with spreadsheets and you create complicated spreadsheets and maybe CRM systems for people that you may want to actually bring in a teaching element for that, not just for training business people. Maybe I mean that sor sort of obvious one that is you now go into workshops and one to one training, but maybe taking that for that into schools and universities and be able to deliver that sort of thing as a service to business schools and school you know, taking it into classrooms, that sort of thing, and very often they will want you to have that extra level of qualification where you have been through a teaching program, so you've got a qualification to teach. So it could be not a wholesale throw everything out and restart. It could be expansion, yes, it could. It could. It could also be expansion and maybe expanding into some of the sort of softer skills, some of the you know, things that are going to help you work with others. Maybe maybe a good way to. Go, Yeah, may well be. Yeah. The number seven in terms of the tarot is represented by the chariot card. If if you know the taro or the picture on their show, somebody standing proud and strong, you know that can steer their self in the direction they want to go in at a steady course and things like that. And cancer is also the star sign for for July, and cancers like to seek a little bit of security. They love freedom and the open road ahead. And they can come across like they're big and they're strong and whatever, but underneath a lot of that, they're very, very emotional people generally, and so their feelings can get hurt and with them their intuition and things like that may feel like it's developing slowly, but it's only because they want to make sure any challenges that they may come up against the and really make them head on in a way. So and the chariot card is all about like seeking answers. How can they better their self, you know, and what is their intention to drive their self but also their energy forward as well? What do you want in your life? That that kind of thing. I think sometimes we we divorce our business from our life, but you can't. Whether you own a business, you're working a business, wherever it is that you are, what you want in your life, what you enjoy, what you don't enjoy, what stranger energy, what what really annoys you is all part of your business and it will affect how your business works and runs. And trying to trying to ignore that you are there in between, you know, your life and your business. There's you and what you. Like and want and what you don't like and what really anoise you and what stranger energy makes you tire? What fires you up? Is there? And these two things are together. Yeah, you can't separate them up, can you? No? You can't. You can't. You can't take yourself out of as much as you mun like to. And you can get all of the pas and support staff, you like you're still there driving it forwards. Yeah, yeah, yeah you are. And within astrology, for the number seven that's represented or associated with the star signs of Libra and Ices. Ices is the most spiritual sign of the zodiac. So that encourage us, encourages us to connect deeper, not just with ourself, but with others as well. So that's something perhaps to think about there. As we I think we're about to come to a close for a lot of what we have on the numbers, aren't we for the numbers? So I just wanted to maybe have a look at some of the challenges of around this month and around the number seven. And because they're so they're so relevant for business, and I've sort of I've got three here, and one of them, the first one is reclusiveness. So I don't know if it's where we are in the year. It could be all sorts of things, but sometimes there can be a tendency to become reclusive. And you know, I think a lot of us who are in business and out there, and you know, we show up all the time every day and sometimes find it difficult to switch off if we're not careful. Sort of one of the things that we start to do is actually go, you know, sort of totally inside and become reclusive for a period of time, which is good in one respect, but I think we need to be very very careful that we don't actually disappear for too long, that we or that we don't certainly don't disappear completely, and that we stay visible to clients, so visible to our audience. And you know, there are a couple of ways that we can do this with clients. It could be a team member checking in with clients. It could be that you have a newsletter that's going out to your clients that's keeping them you know, that's keeping them connected with you. You know, these can be shared, can be scheduled weeks months in advance, so that you don't always you know, your foot doesn't always have to be on the pedal, but you're still sending out stuff to them. It could be, depending on the type of business you have, that that's really quite personal information that there's a lot of you in there. But you can send a newsletter and not be actually sat there typing it as it goes out, so you can start planning all of that. Some of it with social media can also be planned in advance, it could be you know, there's also that element of engagement that if you really do need to take a step back for you know, several weeks that maybe you know, you can put in a contingency plan around and around engagement so that people sort of still get the impression that you are, that you're out and about. And I think sometimes the problem with switching off and becoming reclusive is it can creep up on us really, you know, and with it, oh, you know, I don't really want to go out today, I don't really want to do that today, or I don't feel like looking at Facebook or LinkedIn, and then suddenly you stop because you've really had enough and you need to take those sort of weeks off. And that can actually make a difference, you know, especially if you have clients that you need to maybe support, you need to be sharing what they're doing on social media and supporting them and sharing this stuff, and suddenly you've disappeared. So you know, sort of build this. In and think about that you may need to take a step back, I think sometimes. And one of the other things that is highlighted for this time of the year is overthinking that we that we can start overthinking things. We start disappearing down into all of the colors and all of the sizes, and we start I'm a great one for that. It doesn't take me long before I'm down in the depths of it all. And alongside of this comes a lot of it comes perfectionism, and we can get caught up in making everything absolutely perfect, spinning round in circles. We've sort of lost the you know, we've we've lost the arrow point of what we're doing, and suddenly we've got We're down in the great, big, muddy, murky waters, floundering around and sometimes you know, it's take that step back, catch yourself overthinking, Go actually, okay, what is this all about? You know, what's the point of why this is we're doing this, what we're trying to achieve, what's the overall aim? And see if you can pull it back up and sort of get some clarity and move forwards. I think that's that's a good way of it. And one of the other things, actually, and this is actually trying to hide things that you're doing. This is something that I've seen quite a few business people doing recently, and it doesn't come from dishonesty. Or anything like that. It very often comes from starting a business that's different to your existing business. So it could be that you're an accountant and you train to be a healer. It could also be that you're currently working in corporate and you want to go out and do something else and you're starting up a business alongside, but you don't want them to know, and so you're sort of doing this horrible juggling act. And the problem with that is is that you can't actually grow anything whilst you're keeping a secret all the time. You have to keep a big part of yourself hidden. You can't or you can't share it. And alongside of that is that sometimes people they don't know they know you're hiding something. They don't know what it is you're hiding. There's something that is not as genuine as it should be, and that will very often come across and that sort of lack of honesty. Sometimes people will assume that it's about something else they don't they don't, you know, very they very rarely think, oh, you know, oh, she's an accountant or she works in the accountancy department. I wonder if she's also retraining as a crystal healer and doesn't want anybody to know that. They sort of think what's she up to? And so finding a way, finding a happy medium with that, finding a way that you can be open and honest and be transparent. It's you know, it's that's what's going to move your business forwards. That's what's going to make you a really good leader. That's what's going to make you attractive to clients, potential collaborators. They will pick up on that. So find a way to not be secretive about what you're doing. Yeah. Yeah. The spirit animal for July, I'm not technically I'm not sure if animal is technically the right word for it. Is the bee? I think I think I like them. They're animals, aren't they. Yea, they are. Animal humble bees, And obviously we all know how important the honey bees are and how active they are really in July. So July is their peak performance as much as anything else, and a lot of people are We're really scared of them, aren't they things like that in case they get stung and things. So I don't think people understand the difference between them and those horrible waspy things, do they They're all animals, they are horrible wasp bey will sting you if it has a chance to be. It's the absolute last last thing they want to do. So. But also with the bees going from flower to flower, the flowers associated with July is the larkspur also known as delphiniums, which are if you're no good with flowers, the only way I can describe that is they're very colorful on tall RELLI. Came will also be running our gardening program. I'm normally quite good regard and stuff, but in my head, I was like, well, what shall I say about them? And the other one is the water lily, and I think everybody knows what water lily is. Water is good for energy and things like that as well around. People. But they do symbolize strong bonds and dignity and grace and being happy and that kind of thing. So in that sense, I think, I don't even flowers sort of come into it, but it just takes it through well. I also I think if we sort of look at bees, you know, what's what's the thing about them? It's about a community, isn't it? So? So bees bees are a community. Everybody works together. I think we could also say they're immensely productive, and it's about a collective effort, isn't it to achieve to achieve a. Common goal, a common aim. Now, you know, as business owners, very often collaborating can be quite a difficult thing to do, and it can be it can be tricky sometimes getting that balance where a collabor where a collaboration benefits everybody, but very difficult. You know, you need to tap into your intuition to maybe look at your collaborative partners. There's also a lot of information. There's a lot going on at the moment about the I don't know if it's the creation or the recreation of communities, of different communities, different groups of people coming together for the for companionship, business growth. There's a business around building communities as well. I mean that in itself is a way of creating a business. So I think for this month, looking at how you can tap into a community, maybe create your own community. The other thing is is look at the community you actually have. Is we all have a community. I have a business community, whether I put them all into a big part and call them a community. I have a community of people that I regularly meet with, that meet me, that meet other people in our community doesn't really matter what we've called ourselves. That's who we are. And perhaps you know, recognizing that and saying right, well, okay, you know, what does this mean is to this group of people that are regularly sort of you know, bumping into each other and communing with each other, you know, what's it all about? What can we bring? Is it something that we can perhaps add a little bit of structure, so you know, if it's happened happening almost haphazardly, Okay, can we start to bring this together? Can we build something into it which which tightens the bonds of that community, makes it more supportive, makes it more useful, all sorts of things. So time for community. Yeah. The crystal for July is the ruby, which some may or may not know. Ruby has often been associated with things like love and affection. Obviously quite a deep red color, but I think red can actually be quite a deep color in general for some people as well. I don't know if you'd agree with. That, but I think it's a color that generates something in some people. It can generate anger in some people, it can generate fear in other people, it can generate strength. I think it's it's you know, I think people are a lot more sensitive to color than they realize that. I know, I am, and it's me quite a while to realize that. But I think red is one of those almost polarizing types of colors where where it can do more, it can generate more than one thing. You know, we have red hot anger, don't we. I've never I don't think i've ever heard anybody if you think of say yellow. Yellow to me is quite a soft, bright color. I don't think I've ever heard anybody say I've gone into I've gone into a furious yellow rage. No red mess. Yes, but I think I think red red almost tips a number of points on that sort of would we call it a compass? I don't know. That's the word I've got on that compass. Yes? And did you know that July was actually named after Julius Caesar? Actually you did? Did? Because I studied ancient history, yes, and that is that is my recollection. Yes, yes, no, I didn't know that, so I was quite surprised when I saw live. I studied a period of period of history from Augustus to Tiberius, quite narrow but fascinating time, fascinating. So where are we up to are we Are we at the end? Yes, we'll pretty much at the roundup of it in a sense as far as New Rodgerly goes. And it's funny you mentioned the color yellow because although the crystal is a ruby and we obviously know it start red, the actual colors link to July is yellow. Ah Okay. Yeah, it's said to be full of energy, promise, excitement, and fun. Okay, so quite soft like you said, So that could. Also be something that you may want to, you know, if you're maybe having a little bit of a rebranding excise, if you're looking at running events and you maybe you know, have colors associated with those. We have banners, We have all sorts of things, don't we. So you need to be true to your branding. But is yellow something that you can also start to bring in as part of that. Yeah, it's always good to have a bit of a shake up, isn't it. Yeah, yeah, it is. It is. And the spiritual meaning of July comes down to things like energy reflection, having a deep connection but naturally being interested in astrology even things like that. That all sort of It's almost like July is the month to start or finish whatever it is you want to do for the year. In a way yes, And also I mean one of the things that came up to me for July and I realized that we've now got a lot of stuff in the mix. And what you may find sort of listening to this is that one thing is going to leap out at you. It's not about everything leaping out in you, but then maybe one thing that you think, actually, do you know that's something that I need, that I. Need to do. And one of them that sort of came up and my thoughts and also sort of a little bit more out there may be around the chariot is that you know that's actually quite strong and it's moving forwards and it's being driven by one person, isn't it? And that could also be about staying on your path. Now we're not talking here about being rigid. You know, we've been speaking throughout this program about having a look, reviewing, you know what's happening, redesigning, rethinking, analyzing, moving forwards. But also if. You look at that as the chariot, one person moving forward, it's actually about forging your own path, I think, and not listening to other people's rubbish. Other people's stuff. Don't get drawn into it. You know, trust your own in tuition, know what your own direction is, and go forward in that direction. When when you have enough confidence, you know, I don't think we ever sit at one hundred percent and go that's it. I'm off. But when you have enough confidence and you're not listening to other people's influences, which brings their own stuff into it. Yeah, okay, this is their opinions, based on their experiences, based on you, based on what they think about you, based on what they think you can do, based on what they don't want you to do. You know, they may be friends, family, other people in your team, other business people. You know, they have their own agenda as well. They really do. Everybody has their own influences, agendas and beliefs, and so it's don't get pulled into other people's drama, don't get pulled into other people's noise. Know what your direction is and you don't necessarily have to go at the speed of a chariot. But but you know, use your energy to drive your business forwards and go where you know it's the right place to go, and don't get drawn into other people's Archiebarges and drama. Yeah, so I think we are just about at the end of the programming. Any have you a year done? We're there for July. We will be back. With the Spiritual Show at the end of July as we move forward into August. And if you are in the UK, if you're in a hot place at the moment, it's quite warm and in the UK, you know, we don't have extremes of temperature and so obviously we've been shocked. Air conditioning works, the fans, you know, we get fans out of the cupboards, all of that sort of thing. So we're all in a bit of a kerfuff a little stay hot for a week. By the end of the week we'll have sortainly ourselves out, won't we And then again the temperature, the temperature will go down would be freezing cold. So thank you, thank you so much for listening, folks. I hope you enjoyed that spiritual round up and we will be back with the Women in Business Radio Show very shortly. Tune in next week to the Women in Business Radio Show for more stories, ideas and inspiration to help you grow your business.
