Hey parents! Use these questions as a guide to talk over this week’s lesson, The Walls of Jericho, with your child after they’ve watched the video service!

1. What was your favorite part of the video we just watched? Do you have any questions about what you saw?
2. What instructions did God give Joshua?
   He told Joshua to gather his soldiers and march around the city of Jericho for six days. Seven priests were in front – their job was to blow the horns. On the seventh day, they were to march around the city seven times, blowing horns and giving a great shout.
3. Did that seem strange?
   That must have sounded strange that a big wall would fall just because of some horns, shouts, and marching. But it happened because of God’s power!
4. What should you do when God gives you instructions?
   Listen and obey like Joshua and the Israelites obeyed. It’s always the right choice to obey God.
5. Take some time to pray with your child. You might pray something like this:
   Dear God, thank you that you always know what’s best for me. Please help me to listen to you and obey so that I can follow your best plan. I love you! Amen.

Now, the Israelites had crossed the Jordan and were camped near the town of • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Jericho. One day, Joshua looked up, and there was a man standing before him. Hello, the man said. I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Joshua asked what the man wanted to tell him. And the Lord said he wanted Joshua to take the city of • • • • • Jericho. All right. But that Joshua needed to follow his instructions exactly.

Jericho was shut for fear of the • • • • • • • • • Israelites. No one came out and no one came in.
