Facts
Maggie Rogers – That’s Where I Am
- Happy birthday to Maggie Rogers, born on this date 29 years ago.
- After Pharrell discovered her while an artist in residence at NYU, in 2018 and later 2019 with the release of Heard It In A Past Life, Rogers had a genuine breakout moment, and is a genuine star nowadays playing sold out headliner shows all over the world but still has the cred with fellow artists of all levels.
- That opening tune was from last year’s Surrender LP, and wishing the best to Maggie Rogers today.
Scotch Mist – Around
- One of our favorites out of NYC is back with this new single as of last weekend.
- The band actually puts out some great videos for young artists as to marketing their music if you’d like to go and check it out. Very interesting tips and ideas for new things they’ve tried to get more ears on their music as opposed to say, radio.
bar italia – punkt
- This is a trio out of London currently on a UK tour.
- Not a lot of info on the band, but they do have two album releases thus far from 2020 and 2021, with this being part of a 7” single released over the weekend with a cut called Nurse on the flip.
Swiss Portrait – Before
- For those unfamiliar although this is an artist we’ve featured quite a bit here on the show for what’s that worth, this is the solo project of Michael Kay Terrance, who’s based in Edinburgh.
- This one’s just a standalone tune for now, hoping there’s an album or EP coming up.
Osla – Afternoon
- This is the latest from an artist who we have very little bio info on anywhere, but this is a tune that definitely caught our ears this weekend.
- This would be the self-described slow pop artist’s latest single, and it’s basically been all singles since debut in 2018.
Jude Shuma – Don’t Wnna Tlk About It
- A little more bio here, a little more history on the show, and this artist is based in Chicago who describes their sound as psyche lo fi pop music blended with depression wave soul.
- Very dreamy tune right here, just a standalone for now, but do check the latest of their three career albums, released in 2021 & called Suzy Space Cadet.
Sweet & Lonely – Ghost
- A short jaunt further north to the Twin Cities up in Minnesota here.
- This is the solo project of Nick Elstad, who’s been around since 2020 and just standalones thus far in a very young career.

Part 2
pecq – The Analyst
Deb Fan – Pull My Hair
Chelsea Days – Eyes On You
Lauren Juzang – Goodnight, Friend
Paolo Sandejas – BLOOM
MUNA – One That Got Away
COLOR PALETTE – PACING LIKE A LION

Facts
pecq – The Analyst
- This single features on the album from this band (sp.). They are a duo out of the UK and a split background between France & Italy with the 2nd contributor.
- The name of the record is Amnesia’s Ritual and that dropped exactly one week ago today, so go check that out if you liked the slow heat right there.
Deb Fan – Pull My Hair
- New to me at least, this is an artist seemingly just starting out in the game.
- Deb Fan is born & raised in Hong Kong, now based in LA, and this joint came out last Wednesday, the latest in a discog of just singles thus far since debut in 2021.
Chelsea Days – Eyes On You
- There’s no avoiding it nowadays tonight or on Mondays, Oklahoma is just a hotbed of music nowadays.
- This would be this Oklahoma-based band’s latest single since they released their self-titled debut last summer, so go check that out.
Lauren Juzang – Goodnight, Friend
- This is an artist out of California who’s been steadily building up a listener profile, and it seems that would be on the grow now as this is part of a new EP just out over the weekend.
- The artist who’s self-described as 20, tall, slight lazy eye is out with the peek a boo EP, so go give that a spin, Juzang’s 2nd career mini record.
Paolo Sandejas – BLOOM
- This is a popular artist out of The Philippines who now seems to be getting some more international ears on his music.
- BLOOM is the title track to the new EP which just dropped Friday, so give it a spin if you dig what’s on the way.
MUNA – One That Got Away
- Last block to start it’s some very 80s vibes on this tune getting lots of love over the weekend.
- The band out of LA debuted this tune during their set at Coachella, and now the studio version is out for the world to see. Check their self-titled 3rd album from last year for more, this is a very good band.
COLOR PALETTE – PACING LIKE A LION
- This is a band out DC lead by vocalist Jay Nemeyer, and our final tune tonight is the energetic title track to a new EP that just dropped Friday.
- Undoubtedly another band to keep an eye on, and you’ve probably heard their work which has featured all over TV on big platforms.

Part 3
lost spaces – fickle minds
lost spaces – do you still think (about me?)
lowe – Give It Time
Generationals – Waking Moment
Alaska Reid – She Wonders
hey, nothing – Chamomile
Harmless – As I Lay Chillin’

Facts
lost spaces – fickle.minds
lost spaces – do you still think (about me?)
- That first joint is the title track to a new EP we kinda slept on here on the show, which dropped March 24.
- This is a band led by Sam Lopez, who created the band years ago and the project has grown since then. Go check the fickle minds EP, available everywhere now.
lowe – Give It Time
- This is latest from a duo out of Romania who say they use influences from around the world to create a groovier, more wistful type of melody.
- This would be the band’s 2nd career release, and the soundscape on this cut is lovely.
Generationals – Waking Moment
- This band is the veteran duo of Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer and they hail from New Orleans.
- Waking Moment is part of the upcoming Heatherhead LP, out June 2.
Alaska Reid – She Wonders
- This is another album announcement a lot of people will be excited about, as Alaska Reid is ready to drop the Disenchanter LP on July 14 this year.
- Disenchanter would be Reid’s sophomore record album after releasing Big Bunny in 2020.
hey, nothing – Chamomile
- The latest from this Atlanta-based duo who have had a busy 2023 of singles thus far and are quickly becoming a favorite here on Tuesdays.
- No announcement on an upcoming album, but it feels like something is coming, with this being their 2nd of the year thus far.
Harmless – As I Lay Chillin’
- The solo project of Nacho Cano, this is a new moniker for Cano after previously recording as Twin Cabins.
- Good possibility you’ve heard stuff from Cano before, but it’s just one of those things, as Swing Lynn was an absolutely viral tune if you’ve got any type of so-called social media life.

Part 4
Withered Hand – Crippled Love
Mox – Melanie
Rowe – Floating
Lu Lagoon – Birds Fly West
Cinder Well – Two Heads, Grey Mare
Superviolet – Blue Bower
Superviolet – Good Ghost

Facts
Withered Hand – Crippled Love
- Back to Edinburgh to begin the end here in part 4 tonight. This would be a project headed by Dan Wilson, who previously way back in the 90’s was part of Tin Foil Circus, which were more of a local phenomenon.
- This tune features on Wilson’s upcoming Withered Hand album called How To Love, which is out this Friday.
Mox – Melanie
- This is an artist out of Merced, CA who just dropped a new album called Heart April 14.
- Congrats to Mox on this debut record, it’s lovely stuff.
Rowe – Floating
- Not much of anything on the bio front on this artist, but this ethereal bit of business is the artist’s 4th career single.
- Honestly, wish I could find more than that, because this is a lovely tune.
Lu Lagoon – Birds Fly West
- This is a band out of Denver led by Lauren Black that have a debut album from 2020 under their collective belt called Seven Corners.
- This would be the title track to their new album dropped on April 7, so go check that out if you dig what’s on the way.
Cinder Well – Two Heads, Grey Mare
- This is a tune that featured on another new album just out Friday that I kind of stumbled upon this weekend.
- The album is called Cadence, and this would be the experimental folk project of Amelia Baker. Go check that out if you wanna dive deeper.
Superviolet – Blue Bower
Superviolet – Good Ghost
- To close the show tonight, we’ll give some more air to Superviolet, which is the project of Steve Ciolek who’s based in Columbus, OH and a former member of The Sidekicks.
- Check this album out, it’s called Infinite Spring, is getting a lot of deserved love and I’m personally becoming more impressed with each listen. Superviolet. Infinite Spring. Get it!
