China, and South Korea met in Tokyo to

discuss cooperation on issues such as
aging, natural disasters, and the green

economy amidst growing regional tensions.

The meeting focused on plans
for a trilateral leaders'

summit later this year.

Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya
emphasized the need for denuclearization

and condemned Russia's war on Ukraine,
while Chinese Foreign Minister Wang

Yi proposed resuming economic talks
and promoting regional cooperation."

"Afghanistan

The Torkham border crossing between
Afghanistan and Pakistan will

reopen on Saturday, March 22,
after a 25-day closure, allowing

all types of travel and trade.

The decision is expected to ease movement
and commerce between the two nations,

with a focus on urgent humanitarian
issues such as medical cases."

"Gaza Strip

The Palestinian Authority's Fatah
movement has urged Hamas to step down

from governing Gaza to prevent the
""end of Palestinians' existence.""

Fatah spokesman Monther al-Hayek
emphasized the need for Hamas to show

compassion for the people of Gaza,
warning that remaining in power will

lead to catastrophic consequences."

"United States

The US government plans to revoke
the temporary legal status of 530,000

individuals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua,
and Venezuela, effective April 24.

This move is part of the Trump

"France

On Friday, a French court in Paris
convicted and sentenced five jihadists

to prison for their role in holding
five French journalists hostage for ten

months for the Islamic State in Syria
between June 2013 and April 2024."

"United Kingdom

Mohammad Farooq, a 29-year-old
British man, has been sentenced to

a minimum of 37 years in prison for
planning a terrorist attack on an

air force base in northern England.

Farooq, who was inspired by Islamic
State and radicalized online, was

found guilty of preparing acts of
terrorism and possessing an explosive

substance with intent to endanger life.

Police caught him at a hospital
in Leeds with a homemade bomb

containing nearly 10 kg of
explosives extracted from fireworks."

"Lebanon

The Lebanese army has located and
dismantled three makeshift rocket

launchers between Kfar Tebnit and Arnoun,
used in a morning attack on Metula.

The Lebanese Armed Forces are taking
measures to control the situation in

the south, but no group has claimed
responsibility for the rocket fire yet."

"Afghanistan

On Friday, a hand grenade was thrown in
the Zala Bazaar area of Gereshk district

in Helmand province, injuring 18 people,
including two in critical condition.

The incident occurred during a fight
between two brothers, with one of

their sons throwing the grenade.

Police arrested the suspect."

"Central African Republic

An attempted poisoning of President
Faustin-Archange Touadera was recently

thwarted, with two brothers linked
to former Prime Minister Henri Marie

Dondara suspected of being involved.

The incident is believed to be
linked to internal power struggles

and is the latest in a series of
destabilization attempts against the

president since his election in 2016.

An investigation has been opened to
determine the motives behind the poisoning

attempt, which has further exacerbated
the country's security situation."

"Colombia

On Thursday, two oil pipelines in
rural northeastern Colombia were

forced to suspend pumping operations
after being attacked with explosives,

according to oil transport firm Cenit.

The military has blamed the National
Liberation Army (ELN) for the strikes.

Cenit, a state oil company Ecopetrol
subsidiary, reported that the

attacks targeted its Bicentenario
and Cano Limon-Covenas pipelines.

No deaths or injuries were reported
as a result of the incidents."

"Democratic Republic of Congo

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the
Ugandan People's Defence Forces (UPDF)

successfully repelled a two-day attack
by the Cooperative for the Development

of Congo (CODECO) militia in Fataki,
Ituri Province, resulting in the deaths

of 242 fighters and one UPDF fatality.

Four other soldiers were
wounded in the fighting.

The clashes are seen as a significant
blow to the notorious armed group

responsible for massacres in eastern DRC."

"India

An IED blast in the forest area of
Maranponga, Chaibasa, West Singhbhum

district injured two security
members, including a Sub-Inspector."

"India

A CRPF sub-inspector, Sunil
Kumar Mandal, was martyred in

an IED blast in the Chaibasa
district of Jharkhand on Saturday.

Mandal was part of a joint
operation against the CPI Maoist,

along with other security forces,
when he was injured in the blast.

Two other jawans, Mandal and Partha
Pratim Dey, were airlifted to

Ranchi for treatment, but Mandal
was declared dead upon arrival."

"Iraq

The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS)
announced the arrest of two terrorists

in Sulaymaniyah and Salahuddin provinces.

The CTS worked in cooperation with the
Kurdistan Region's Asayish Service to

arrest the individuals who were working
in military positions within the so-called

Fallujah Province and Kirkuk Province.

Additionally, the CTS conducted
operations that resulted in the

destruction of 4 hideouts, a tunnel,
and a cave along the border between

Kirkuk and Salahuddin provinces."

"Israel

The Iran-backed Houthis have taken
responsibility for a ballistic

missile attack on Israel's Ben
Gurion Airport on Friday night.

They claim to have targeted the airport
and warned airlines that it is no longer

safe for air traffic until their demands
for an end to aggression against Gaza

and the lifting of the blockade are met.

Additionally, the Houthis reported
launching drones at US warships

in the Red Sea that have been
involved in strikes against them."

"Israel

The IDF is responding with artillery
fire against southern Lebanon after

rockets were launched at northern Israel.

At least five rockets were fired at
Metula, with three intercepted by the

IDF and two falling short in Lebanon."

"Niger

Islamist militants attacked a mosque
in southwest Niger, killing at least

44 civilians and injuring 13 others.

The attack, blamed on the EIGS
group, an Islamic State affiliate,

occurred during afternoon prayers
in the village of Fombita.

The rebels also set fire to a
market and houses before retreating.

The incident is part of a larger jihadist
insurgency in West Africa's Sahel region,

which has led to hundreds of thousands
of deaths and millions displaced."

"Nigeria

Friday night, unknown gunmen attacked
a community between Nsugbe and

Nkwele in the Oyi Local Government
Area (LGA), abducting four people."

"Nigeria

On Friday, gunmen abducted a Nigerian
Navy officer, attached to the Defence

Headquarters, and two others from
their residence in the Mpape suburb

of Abuja, sparking concerns over
security in the nation's capital.

The kidnappers have demanded
a ransom of N100 million for

the release of the hostages."

"Nigeria

Wednesday afternoon, a suspected ISWAP
terrorist IED exploded under a commercial

vehicle near Sabon Garin, in the Bui Local
Government area of Borno State, killing

four people and wounding four others."

"Nigeria

A 23-year-old man, Usman Mohammed,
was killed during an attack

on a mosque in Kaduna State.

The incident occurred at around 2 am
on Friday, with the attackers stabbing

Mohammed to death with a sharp knife.

The police have arrested 12 suspects and
launched an investigation into the attack.

The Kaduna State Police Command
has increased security deployments

around mosques and urges the public
to remain vigilant and report any

suspicious activities promptly."

"Nigeria

Nigerian troops have successfully
repelled a Boko Haram attack on a military

base in Waga Village, Madagali Local
Government Area (LGA), Adamawa State.

The attack occurred around 3:30 a.m.

on Friday, but the troops
swiftly responded, forcing

the insurgents to retreat.

There were no casualties in the attack."

"Pakistan

In Lakki Marwat, a lower-head
constable, Hashim Khan, was killed by

armed men, and a police operation was
launched to search for the attackers.

In Bannu, a police constable,
Nasrullah, was martyred, and his

minor son was injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, in Swat, a police constable,
Niaz Mohammad, was killed, and three

personnel were injured in an exchange
of fire between police and criminals.

The wanted criminal, Ahmad Zaib,
was also killed in the encounter."

"Pakistan

On Sunday, March 16, a suspected
suicide bombing in southwest Pakistan

killed at least seven paramilitary
troops and injured 43 others.

The attack targeted a Frontier Corps
convoy in the Nushki district of

Balochistan province, with officials
fearing a rise in the death toll.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has
claimed responsibility for the bombing."

"Pakistan

On Saturday, an unidentified
assailant threw a grenade at

an under-construction house in
Parachinar, Kurram District, killing

three people and wounding another."

"Pakistan

A terrorist attack on a police station
in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,

was foiled by the police on Saturday.

The assailants, referred to as
Fitna Al Khawarij (a term for the

banned TTP), fled the scene after
an exchange of fire with the police.

This incident follows a series of
attacks in the region, including

on police stations and checkposts
in Lakki Marwat and Peshawar

districts earlier this month."

"Pakistan

Authorities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
(AJK) have foiled a major terror plot,

arresting a militant who revealed the
expanding reach of Tehreek-i-Taliban

Pakistan (TTP) in the region.

The arrested suspect, a resident of
Islamabad, admitted to working under the

network led by Dr Abdul Rauf, an extremist
mastermind based in Afghanistan."

"Philippines

On Friday, unidentified gunmen attacked
a vehicle in Buluan, Maguinanao

del Sur, killing a company manager
and wounding his 66-year-old wife.

The attack is one of a series of
attacks in Buluan, resulting in over

10 fatalities since the Commission on
Elections enforced a nationwide gun

ban last January 12 to ensure safe
and peaceful elections in May 2025."

"Somalia

On Friday, pirates abandoned a Yemeni
fishing vessel, Al-Hidaya, after

hijacking it on Sunday, March 16.

The vessel was boarded by seven armed
men near the town of Eyl off the

coast of Somalia's Northern region,
and a naval vessel later conducted a

""friendly approach"" to check on the
welfare of the eight Yemeni crew members.

This incident is the third
piracy-related case involving a

Yemeni fishing vessel in the region."

"Syria

A young man, a former soldier of
the former regime army, was shot and

killed by unidentified gunmen on a
motorcycle near the 4th neighborhood

in Al-Hamdaniyah, Aleppo city."

"Syria

The SDF, supported by the
international coalition, has

carried out a security operation in
Al-Tabaka City, western Al-Raqqa.

As a result, they arrested Raafat
Rahmoun, also known as Aby Sohaib

Al-Adnany, the military Emir of ISIS in
the states of Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor."

"Turkey

The Iraqi Consulate in Istanbul was
targeted by gunfire from unidentified

assailants on Friday evening.

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(MOFA) confirmed that eight rounds

were fired using a Kalashnikov rifle
before the assailants fled the scene.

Turkish security forces have launched an
investigation, and MOFA is coordinating

with Turkish authorities to determine
the circumstances of the attack and

bring the perpetrators to justice."

"Turkey

A security operation in Sanliurfa targeted
the Islamic State terrorist group.

Three suspects linked to Daesh were
detained and taken into custody.

After judicial proceedings, two
of the suspects were arrested and

sent to prison, while the third was
released under judicial control."

"Democratic Republic of Congo

On Friday, unarmed Banyamulenge
civilians in several villages in South

Kivu were attacked by the Congolese
army and its allied militia, with

bomb explosions and gunfire targeting
villages inhabited by these civilians.

This violence has been ongoing for years,
with the Congolese regime allegedly

targeting Banyamulenge populations due
to their perceived Rwandan identity.

The M23 rebellion has condemned these
attacks, warning that it will not remain

passive in the face of such atrocities."

"Democratic Republic of Congo

On Saturday, the M23 rebels in the
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

announced a unilateral ceasefire
and withdrew their forces from the

town of Walikale, a key stronghold
of the FDLR terrorist militia,

after seizing it on Wednesday.

This decision is part of a
broader effort to support peace

initiatives and foster conditions
conducive to political dialogue.

The rebels, who are now part of the
Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC), are fighting

against the Congolese government and
a coalition of foreign forces and are

committed to protecting civilians and
addressing the root causes of conflict."

"Ethiopia

On Friday, the Ethiopian army claimed
to have killed 317 Fano fighters

and injured 125 others in two days
of renewed clashes in various zones

in the northern Amhara region.

However, the Fano group contradicts
this claim, stating that the army had

not killed even 30 of their fighters.

The conflict between the two groups has
been ongoing since July 2023, following

a sense of betrayal by the Amhara region
regarding the terms of a 2022 peace deal."

"Lebanon

According to the Lebanon Ministry of
Health, an Israeli strike on the city

of Tyre resulted in the death of one
man and injuries to seven others.

Additionally, a separate strike
in Harmal, northwest Lebanon,

left five people injured."

"Lebanon

Israeli forces launched airstrikes against
Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

Casualty figures and damage assessments
were not reported in the attacks."

"Myanmar

On Thursday, the Myanmar military junta
conducted airstrikes on insurgent targets

near the village of Tone Taw in western
Lemyethna Township, Ayeyarwady Region.

People on the ground in the
town shot at the aircraft as it

returned to drop another bomb.

During the attack, junta ground forces
were seen preparing to attack advancing

Arakan Army (AA) insurgents in the area.

Clashes between junta troops and AA
rebels were reported in the area."

"Nigeria

On Wednesday, the Joint Task Force in
Kebbi State killed two suspected members

of the Lakurawa terrorist group during
an operation in the Riubin Bisa and Fana

area of the Dandi Local Government Area.

Other rebels fled the area with injuries.

Troops recovered sophisticated
weapons from the suspects."

"Pakistan

The Counter Terrorism Department
(CTD) Punjab conducted 166

intelligence-based operations,
questioning 166 suspects and arresting

11 terrorists along with weapons,
explosives, and prohibited materials.

The arrested terrorists are
affiliated with Fitna Khawarij and

other organizations and had planned
to target important buildings and

police in Lahore and other cities.

The arrests occurred in Rawalpindi,
Sargodha, Pakpattan, Gujarat, Chakwal,

Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar."

"Russia

Ukraine used long-range missiles or drones
to destroy a cruise missile stockpile at

the Engels-2 Russian airbase on March 20.

Satellite photos confirm significant
damage to ordnance storage facilities,

with some buildings completely destroyed.

The airbase houses part of
Moscow's strategic bomber fleet."

"South Sudan

On Friday night, local authorities
in Ulang County reported

one fatality and 12 injuries
resulting from Ugandan airstrikes.

This incident marked the second attack
in the area this week, occurring

amidst escalating tensions between
government forces and armed youth groups.

Uganda has deployed special
forces to South Sudan to

""secure"" its northern neighbor.

On Thursday, an airstrike in
the county caused no casualties.

Airstrikes commenced in the eastern
region of Upper Nile State several days

after armed youth militias, referred to
as the White Army, overwhelmed an SSPDF

military installation in Nasir County on
March 4, forcing out government forces."

"Sudan

On Saturday, the Sudanese army regained
control of several key sites in Khartoum,

including the Central Bank, headquarters
of the General Intelligence, and the

northern entrance to the Tuti Bridge.

This development marks a significant
military push against the Rapid

Support Forces (RSF) in the capital
following the army's control of

the presidential palace on Friday."

"Syria

According to Syrian media, an
Israeli airstrike occurred near the

town of Najha, outside of Damascus.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has
not yet commented on the incident."

"Syria

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)
have launched attacks on Turkish-backed

factions in eastern Aleppo.

A drone attack near Teshreen Dam
destroyed a military vehicle,

but no casualties were reported.

Additionally, a military post
near Qarrah Quzaq bridge was also

destroyed in a separate attack."

"Syria

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have
confirmed carrying out airstrikes on

the Palmyra military airport and the
nearby T-4 airbase in central Syria.

The targets were ""remaining strategic
military capabilities"" at the sites,

and the strikes were aimed at preserving
Israel's aerial superiority in the region.

The attacks were conducted by Israeli
Air Force fighter jets and are part

of Israel's efforts to prevent weapons
from falling into the hands of hostile

forces that may seek to attack Israel."

"Taiwan

Taiwan tracked 47 Chinese
military aircraft, seven naval

vessels, and one official ship
around its country between 6 a.m.

on Friday and 6 a.m.

on Saturday.

41 aircraft crossed the median line
of the Taiwan Strait and entered the

country’s northern, southwestern, and
eastern Air Defense Identification Zone."

"Ukraine

The Russian military has launched
a significant attack on the Sumy

region, shelling the area 32 times
overnight and in the morning.

This resulted in 69 explosions and
damage to non-residential premises in

several communities, including Buryn,
Shostka, Myropilia, and Nedryhailivka,

which were targeted with drones.

The Krasnopilia community was hit
with guided aerial bombs and artillery

fire, while the Yunakivka community
was attacked with artillery."

"Ukraine

Donetsk Region Update: Russian troops
killed two civilians and wounded nine

others in the Donetsk region on March 21.

The incident occurred in Kostiantynivka
and Fedorivka, according to Vadym

Filashkin, head of the Donetsk

"Ukraine

On Friday, March 21, Russia launched 179
Shahed-type attack UAVs and imitation

drones at Ukraine from various directions.

The Ukrainian Air Force and Defense
Forces successfully repelled the

attack, shooting down 100 Russian
drones and 63 imitation drones.

The consequences of the attack were
recorded in several regions, including

Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv,
resulting in 2 deaths and 13 injuries."

"Ukraine

A Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia
resulted in two deaths and eight injuries.

The attack caused fires at residential
buildings, damaged private cars

and social infrastructure, and
affected neighboring buildings."

"Ukraine

A fire broke out in the Podilskyi district
of Kyiv after debris from a downed Russian

drone struck a residential building.

Emergency responders are on the
scene, and fortunately, no one

has sought medical assistance.

The incident occurred during an air raid
alert declared in Kyiv and several regions

due to the threat of Russian drones."

"Ukraine

A 55-year-old man was injured
in a drone attack by Russian

troops in the Kherson region.

The victim was working in a field
near Kostyrka when the attack

occurred, resulting in explosive
and craniocerebral injuries, as well

as a shrapnel wound to the thigh.

He is currently receiving
treatment in the hospital."

"Ukraine

A gas pipeline was cut off in
Zaporizhzhia district due to

Russian shelling, resulting in
a fire and localized gas leaks.

Emergency crews quickly contained
the leaks, but two private houses

are currently without gas supply.

The incident occurred in conjunction
with a separate Russian attack on

the district that left six people
injured, including a toddler."

"Ukraine

In the Donetsk region, one civilian
was killed, and four others were

injured by dropped aircraft bombs.

Residential buildings, vehicles,
garages, power lines, and gas

pipelines were damaged in the attacks."

Ukrainian forces claimed to have
killed or wounded 1,210 Russian

soldiers over the past day.

after a Russian drone attack.

The incident resulted in 3

involved 63 rescuers and 16 units

A 52-year-old woman was injured in
the village of Kindrashivka, Kharkiv

region, due to hostile shelling
by Russian forces on March 21."

"Ukraine

Russian troops shelled the city
of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk

region on Saturday, March 22.

As a result, one civilian was
injured with light injuries

despite refusing hospitalization.

The attacks hit an empty residential
building and an open area, causing

destruction and damage to private
residential buildings in the area."

"Yemen

The Pentagon announced it was deploying
a second aircraft carrier, the USS

Carl Vinson, accompanied by escort
destroyers, to the Middle East.

This move underscores the
intensification of the conflict in

Yemen and the strengthening of US
military operations in the region.

In the coming days, the USS Carl
Vinson will join the USS Harry S.

Truman, which is already
operating in the Red Sea.

The deployment underscores the US
determination to respond forcefully to the

threats posed by the Houthis, following

Tens of thousands of people in Paris and

Residents of Lashio in northern
Shan State, Myanmar, have protested

against the possible withdrawal of the
Myanmar National Democratic Alliance

Army (MNDAA) forces from the city.

The protesters, over 1,000 in number,
want the MNDAA to stay and protect

them from the military regime.

They have also urged China to stop
interfering in Myanmar's affairs,

as they believe China's support
for the junta harms the people.

The MNDAA administration continues
to operate in Lashio, and authorities

have announced that the traditional
Thingyan New Year Festival will

be celebrated as usual in April."

"Netherlands

Over 10,000 people gathered in
Dam Square, Amsterdam, to protest

against racism and fascism.

The demonstration, organized by
Comité 21 Maart, coincided with

the International Day for the
Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

Protesters held signs and flags,
and speakers addressed the crowd,

criticizing the Dutch government for
enacting ""anti-democratic measures""

against Muslims and asylum seekers."

"Pakistan

A protest by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee
(BYC) against the arrest of its leader and

several others turned violent on Friday.

Police used tear gas, water cannons,
and blank shots to disperse the

protesters, resulting in reports of
injuries and possible fatalities.

The BYC claims that three people
were killed and 13 injured during the

police action, while the government
says 10 police personnel, including

a policewoman, were injured."

"Slovakia

Thousands of people demonstrated in
Slovakia against Prime Minister Robert

Fico, accusing him of having authoritarian
tendencies and a pro-Russian stance.

The protests, called by the ""Mier
Ukrajine"" (Peace in Ukraine)

initiative, demand that the
government provide more support to

Ukraine, including arms deliveries,

A gold mine collapse in Mali's
NTahaka on March 16-17, 2025,

killed nine foreign nationals.

The Malian government has taken
measures to regulate the sector, but

challenges remain due to resource
constraints, corruption, and insecurity."

"Syria

Two separate landmine explosions occurred
in Syria, resulting in the deaths of

two civilians and injuries to another.

The incidents took place in Ain
Al-Ashra Village in eastern Lattakia

countryside and Tanb Village near
A’zaz City in Aleppo countryside."

Two incidents involving old landmines
have resulted in fatalities.

In the northern countryside of Latakia,
a young man was killed by the explosion

of an old landmine in Jabal Al-Akrad.

Similarly, in the eastern countryside
of Aleppo, a young man was also

killed by the explosion of an old
landmine in Al-Saferah city, which is

controlled by National Army factions."

"Syria

A civilian was killed, and two others
were injured in an explosion of an old

landmine in their car near Salamiyah
city in eastern Hama countryside.

The victims hailed from Mouhymdeiah town
in the western Deir Ezzor countryside."

"United States

On Friday, a Union Pacific train
derailed east of Van Horn, causing

the derailment of 30 boxcars.

Emergency crews responded to the scene,
and cleanup efforts are underway.

Authorities have not reported
any injuries, but the cause of

the derailment is still unknown."

"United States

A small single-engine plane crashed
near the Bob White Airfield in

Zellwood on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m.

and resulted in the death
of a man in his 70s.

The FAA and NTSB are investigating
the cause of the crash."
