Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to 12 gauge uncut. The podcast with yours truly. The 12 age Rocky Shaw. That's right folks. Rocky didn't die during the surgery.
Rocky Shaw:Instead, I came back and to many people's dismay, I'm here tonight. We're gonna make some waves. How are we gonna make some waves? We're gonna make some waves by just speaking the simple truth. Let's first talk about, you know, nobody's safe tonight.
Rocky Shaw:We're gonna discuss a little bit of everybody that has been under the radar or on my radar over the last few weeks. So as an update for most of you guys, I am healing up pretty well. I've had a very nagging cough, which I'm sure will plague us at some point in time during this because it's very reflexive, And it's very painful, but, you know, some of us are used to a little bit of pain. That's something we gotta get over and, move forward. There's been, give me I wanna start out for a lot of special, shout outs.
Rocky Shaw:My wife, Tania Shaw, she's man, she's been a workhorse. She's been through so much because trying to take care of me, you know, and I started I went in surgery at £240. I came out at 218. Still far more than, most women could deal with. And, you know, it it's like I lost my ability to walk.
Rocky Shaw:My legs were useless. Man, there's, there's, there's a lot to be said there that, she's had to take care of the kids, take care of the pets. We're not making any money other than she has picked up a little bit, of time with, TurboTax that she's doing some tax work right now, which is giving us a little bit, not really covering all the bills. So we're, we're kind of on the mercy right now of, you know, what happens. And then, you know, a lot of you guys have pitched in really helped out.
Rocky Shaw:But let's be honest. I mean, things have been kinda crazy and, I left, if you if you look back a year ago, the 12 gauge, the Roman Crippler was on top of the world, was the main event of superstars. Sitting right on side with any anyone else as far as the Georgia stars go. Rocky Shaw was in the conversation. Rocky Shaw was in part of the the conversation in general.
Rocky Shaw:So right now, I am healing and, we are sitting back. And and to be honest, most of you saw a podcast I did with Ricky Wiggins, run really a podcast. It was more of a inside the ring talk with, with the, with me, myself, Ricky Wiggins and Tiffany Wiggins. Now, by the way, I love them both to death. But I was told in that ring that day that, I did know that this was Ricky's show.
Rocky Shaw:Phil had little to nothing to do with the show and that Ricky was still the man. That's who I talked to, and that's who I worked for. Well, this week's been kind of strange to say the least. I get calls, texts, but no calls from Ricky. This is this is what disturbs me most, and this is my primary, complaint.
Rocky Shaw:So I understand that Phil and Rob Adonis don't know who Rocky Shaw is, Wasn't here and doesn't realize the love I have in this crowd and the love I have for these kids in this nation, in this this area in Rome and all over Georgia, just the love of wrestling itself. So since Rocky is hurt in healing, you know, and can't really display what what I do and I do best, like no one else is when I deliver that 12 gauge to somebody's chin. And we just have to deal with listening to the paper champion, Chris Kamikaze, which has a control in this new in NAWA, business control. Imagine that someone who guys that has controlling interest is also the champion. Go figure.
Rocky Shaw:But, it's not like we haven't all heard it before. Right, guys? Most of the guys in the business knows. We we know that guy that's the promoter that also puts the strap on himself. Now I'm not gonna say Chris Kamikaze is the promoter.
Rocky Shaw:From my gathering of information and what we're about to find out over the next few weeks are for those of you who are listening right now are learning that Ricky Wiggins is no longer the owner of NAWA Classic. It is going to be Phil. So congratulations to Phil. It looks like, you know, I've been told that I'm putting my head on the chopping block by, to speaking the truth and giving you the guys, you know, the absolute truth of what's going on inside of in the N AWA. Well, you know, I'm sorry, guys.
Rocky Shaw:And it's and it's not just in the N AWA. We have we've got so many great competitors. Kyle Matthews, Aaron Dallas, absolutely great competitors in love. I mean, great guys. I love the crowd.
Rocky Shaw:Aaron Dallas brings people with him. I mean, and man, Kyle Matthews is a wizard in the ring. I mean, he's technically sound. He knows he knows so much about it. The Southern Express, 2 of the best guys on God's green earth, man.
Rocky Shaw:I can tell you that they would take the shirt off their back to help you. Love those guys. Waylon, Josh, you know, my heart goes out to you. Love you guys. You have been, and that's not saying they agree with everything.
Rocky Shaw:I've gotta say there's gonna be a lot of people that take a different road and do not wanna have anything to do with what I have to say right now. And I don't blame them. I'm rolling on 45, and the 12 gauge can cut his own path. And if you guys see me back in an AWA ring, it'll probably be because you demanded it. I'm pretty much hanging myself out on a rope right now, with these guys because I'm being honest.
Rocky Shaw:And sometimes being honest isn't popular. Right? Most of the people can tell me that, okay, the last show. I didn't even go to the last show because I actually felt bad. It wasn't.
Rocky Shaw:But I was told by people there, and I won't use their names. But the the very people there that put the show together, some of them left early themselves because the show was so bad. This show may have, from what I could tell from that video, I wouldn't have even published the video guys. Maybe 200 chairs filled out there. It it was not a great show.
Rocky Shaw:And then when I'm asked why, why do I think the product is not worthy? Because I because I was asked, would you go get sponsors for us? You know, get other businesses to sponsor. That way we can pay the boys because we're not because we was not gonna pay out of pocket. Don't blame him.
Rocky Shaw:I mean, it's not done make great business sense. Right? Pay out of your pocket. Ricky was, a crazy businessman, but he loved his people. He loved his workers.
Rocky Shaw:And if we didn't make the show that night, what it was, then Ricky covered out of his own pocket, some of the expenses because he paid the wrestlers what they were promised to be paid. And let's be honest, guys. We don't do this to get rich, but those guys go in there each and every one of us go in there and we take bumps And we take shots that shorten, that make our nights harder. We go home. We don't sleep as well.
Rocky Shaw:We hurt the next day. It's not fake. Yeah. You can say predetermined all day long, but it's not fake. Trust me.
Rocky Shaw:I mean, you you look at this ugly face right here and I've got scars. You look at my nose, it's been broke. Big dog. If I could, I really can't. I'm here It it show it.
Rocky Shaw:But anytime you're willing to look at the back of my head, big dog signed the back of my head with this big gash. So, me and big dog went to war, baby. And, and, you know, man, my condolences for his wife, Patricia . So there's nothing worse than that. Sorry.
Rocky Shaw:I bugged you at the desk, and I started swatting at it like a ADD rabbit here than I am. So when you go down this path, I love the boys and I and I have such a love for the fans. That it's part of the reason that I've gotta say what I've gotta say because some of these guys are gonna go, okay. Yeah. You know, we're, we're swapping over our ownership.
Rocky Shaw:We're not gonna get paid kind of what we got paid and we're not gonna get treated like we used to get treated. Let's be honest. And the, and the fans deserve better. I mean, the show. I mean, here, here we go.
Rocky Shaw:This is where I'm gonna step on some toes when I was asked. And I'm gonna call it cover WWE. And I'm gonna cover a little bit of prime time from what I've saw and what I know right now too. So, so the criticism is universal. So no one should get their feelings hurt because I want to see us do a better show.
Rocky Shaw:I wanna first call out and say that some parties that did not wanna be mentioned had a road map for KLT that was storyline wise and how things were executed, how the boys were taken care of in the organization, how it was presented on on the web page. It's phenomenal. It it was it was on spot spot on. And the crowd loved the story lines. Yes.
Rocky Shaw:You can have a great athlete. We've got tons of great athletes. As I said, Kyle Matthews is a great athlete. But without putting Kyle Matthews in a storyline that the fans care about, these roam Georgia fans, baby. Y'all let me know if I'm wrong.
Rocky Shaw:You let me know if I if the if the son of Rome right here talking to you. If I'm wrong in thinking that you want the story lines, you want us you want us to bring back that that southern wrestling, that dusty Rhodes, baby. That Ric Flair versus Sting. The Rocky Shaw versus Big Dawg. Tell me tell me who in this area that who watched that feud did not feel that feud.
Rocky Shaw:I still feel that feud. Big dog still sure the hell feels that feud. Man, we stood in the ring together just the other day, and I know know he lost his wife and we're boys. We we come together during those times, but it was a little awkward having be being shoulder to shoulder with big dog. I mean, it it just was.
Rocky Shaw:But we but we have respect for each other because, well, we tore each other up. I mean, we went to war. I watched that night, some of the worst matches, and I love both competitors. And I'll say that, but but what's Joey Idol not have a match worth Joey Idol's time. And I love both competitors, but Joey Idil is a very is a veteran, and me and Joey went to war.
Rocky Shaw:And Joey can tell you we've had a podcast together that, I mean, I beat Joey silly at the fairgrounds. There's a there's a spot that I remember that I hit him so hard that he turned around and was talking to the fans. And I don't even remember if he knows what he asked the fans, but Joey wasn't there. Joey was just responding. I mean, cause because he had took a shot and Joey didn't know where he was at.
Rocky Shaw:And that's what we were willing to give And much respect to that, Joey was, I mean, a rock and took that. And do we hear complaining backwards? No. We loved it. I mean, the crowd loved that match.
Rocky Shaw:I owe a lot to Joey for Rocky Shaw becoming one of those guys because Joe Joey, I wanna say, Joey made me look like a star. I mean, so, so, yeah, I'm gonna shine Joey right now and and say that there's so many great talents that we have that's came through KLT. That's not in KLT. Scurry, a a w, a w a well, I'm getting all mixed up now on the on the acronyms. But, when we I mean, we're the boys to me.
Rocky Shaw:I mean, I'm sorely missing big Andy. We had big Andy going big Andy was rolling in there. And, man, we had, we we've had 0. We've had Zach Mosley, Skrill of the great. The these are all I would definitely consider my brothers and my boys that I've, so I've got a pepper bottom.
Rocky Shaw:Man, where where is the talent in the entertainment in the story? Where do we have I mean, I hate to bring it up because I know so many people said, oh, we're we're so tired of seeing them. I mean, but the mafia was a story and a storyline that that came through every week that you knew if the mafia had come out. I mean, I got my ass kicked by the mafia more times than I can mention. The one time that I got to finally go to war with mister Atlanta, he got me.
Rocky Shaw:He choked slown me. My my one of my first matches. But you go back and watch that match. I put mister Atlanta down more than once during that match. And so, you're talking about a former prime time world champion, a former world champion in many places.
Rocky Shaw:I mean, heavyweight champion in many places in many respects. But I speared him out of his boots, baby. And, so if I would have landed that 12 gauge, would he take it out? Hell no. I've had nobody kick out yet, and it's not gonna happen if I if I have anything to say with it.
Rocky Shaw:We've had Tyrese Murphy. Where where the hell is Tyrese at? I mean, you've got all these big talents. We're not using them. We're bringing in I mean, and you tell me, would you rather see the the Southern Express?
Rocky Shaw:At one point, Southern Express, you know, you wanna see the Southern Express versus the Golden Boys. The money that we called the gold golden girls. But how many matches does the golden girls won? So do you really, does that feel like a faction, like the shield? And when you hear their music, do you laugh or do you be like, oh no, somebody's gonna get their ass kicked.
Rocky Shaw:No, that that's not what's happening. And that's missing and the fans know that. And it's finally, somebody's gotta have a voice. Somebody's gotta be able to we're gonna stick their neck out. And it's a big neck and a big dog.
Rocky Shaw:You we, we had to put a special collar on me because the collar they had was was extra large, would not fit around the extra extra large neck that I've got. So, I mean, for for for for big dogs match to think it was the best match for him to be a dog collar match. He found out differently because I'm not just any kind of dog. I am the big dog. So when you, when you come down to it, here's what we're gonna say.
Rocky Shaw:And I haven't mentioned his name many times because, I don't have any any indication of putting him over. They want a real match. They want a real story. Let me heal up, and I'm gonna take a serious moment to look at you. Chris Kamikaze, Chris Yohre, you wanna cage with me.
Rocky Shaw:Make it an I quit match. Let's see who the real man. An a w a w or, you know, a w a w a. You know, good job with that logo, by the way. Paint shop pro, baby.
Rocky Shaw:So when we go, you wanna make that you wanna make that a match? I'll give you a match, and I'll retire you at the same time. So and I'll do everybody in Rome a favor. I'll do your son a favor. Put you away.
Rocky Shaw:So oh, yeah. Yeah. I said it in these big words. So it's and I'm gonna skip on a little bit too. Now prime time, I I haven't really watched the product, but I watched 0 and I watched big Andy.
Rocky Shaw:And I know they're fun. The 2 guys that have fun together, and they're they're facing a hell of a tag team, you know, with a great amount of skill, talent. Man. And Jacobs, I mean, I'm, you know, a great star. David, the same way.
Rocky Shaw:Guys, you you you got some talent there. You got demon master and demon master's protege, but I don't I don't know. And I'm I'm afraid y'all are missing the same thing. I don't know considering I know the minds behind prime time. The what kind of storytelling are we hearing there?
Rocky Shaw:I'm not seeing seeing the social media aspect of what I kept seeing weekly back in the KLT days from these guys that made me believe and knew what was going on when the mafia and so forth were feared because you never knew when they were gonna show up. You never knew when that moment that the Cobra would strike. So I I understand whether it's a work, whether it's a shoot, there's new ownership. You know, that's said, so there's so there's a battle for Rome right now. Might be more than a battle for Rome to what you know?
Rocky Shaw:I'm not saying, but, you know, 12 gauge promotions with the right backer. You know, deep south, you know, who knows? Don't wait. Did I say deep south? Sorry, Eric.
Rocky Shaw:I didn't mean to say that out loud. But, you know, just just conversation. Where do we go from here? What is the battle for Rome? Who do we improve?
Rocky Shaw:No. I don't know who he'll will. Phil Phil after knows right now, I want you to know. Other than Chris Kamikaze, I don't like you. I don't like you at all.
Rocky Shaw:But now, Phil, you know, the other boys, you know, I I don't have anything any problem with them. Rob Adonis, we don't know each other. I I do know that I I think from what I've talked to him, when I've talked to Rob, he has a great mind for the business. I just don't think Rob has had the freedom or the wrong birds in his head. Was sitting there tweeting this this maybe not let Rob get where he needs to be.
Rocky Shaw:But as far as the booking goes in Rome right now, it fell down, especially, I mean, did Chris, you know, Chris lightning doing a hell of a job. I mean, it's hard, they, he walked out and closed down a match with him and Gans that by God was a match. It's a match that scarred the Anthony Center. And so, and then Anthony Center, baby. It's an area and it's a this garden lakes is home to a lot of these people.
Rocky Shaw:The NAWA doesn't hey. There we go. I got it this time. Didn't I? Right?
Rocky Shaw:The NAWA doesn't intend on coming back. You know, at any point as far as my understanding from field 2, the Guard Lake Center, they're going to stick with dealers exclusively. I don't know. I'm a Shane boy myself, and and I I love Dillard's. Dillard's is old school and brings back something.
Rocky Shaw:And it was great for me to to experience that time there. Who knows? Will I ever be welcome back to dealers after this? I mean, I have nothing against dealers or anything else. They they put on a great, you know, a little show for me.
Rocky Shaw:And, you know, that when any attempts is really, I I I can't say, oh, that one need attempts. Juanita put her put her foot down and said, Rocky needs help, and he's one of the boys. And she got the help that I needed, and she took care of me that night. And I will be for everything for Juanita for that. Phil, I know that you had something to do with that.
Rocky Shaw:Thank you as well. You have been kind to me, and that's why I'm not talking bad, and I'm not degrading you personally. I don't want that to come across this way. I want this podcast to open some ears and to let some of you my god. These are fans who've reached out to me and told me this.
Rocky Shaw:Boys the boys have told me this, But they're afraid to tell the booker because the booker will make sure their life's hell or they won't get booked. Well, I have nothing to lose. You cannot book Rocky Shaw, and people are gonna still listen to my podcast. They're gonna still come to me. And eventually, if you want their money, you'll have to put me on your card to make them happy.
Rocky Shaw:So you don't gotta love you don't have to be the one that loves me or likes me. I am truly, and and I will cut my own promo for it. I am the people's champ. I am the champion for the boys, but at the behind the stage that will say that says, no. We won't work for free.
Rocky Shaw:No. Our lives are worth more. We take bumps. I was trained by Mike Golden, and he probably said, damn it. He I wish he wouldn't have said my name.
Rocky Shaw:And I'll I'll give you another one that will say the same thing. But Jimmy Wang Yang and Lamar Phillips. And do you know what Lamar Phillips would say if I ask him if well well, not necessarily me. But if you ask him to work for free, and what his opinion is of people that work for free, Lamar, Challenge you, baby. Rocky Shaw:I work for $5 for a show. I want you to tell me from your heart, from a vet's point of view, what that makes us look like. I wonder if Tom cruise would do a movie for free. The in the point is guys, the each thing brings us closer to the end. This may this may this may be the end of me and not in my heart.
Rocky Shaw:This may be the end of my career because people will shut me down for what I had to say today. So you wanted the real thing. You wanted to hear the real bomb. N AWA, I wish you the best. If you want me around, you know how to get in touch with me.
Rocky Shaw:I'm gonna watch the project product. If you get better, I got I'll be the first one to fly your fly flag and say, they listened. They took it serious. Rob and Phil made a touchdown. If you don't, if you let the business that I love run into the ground because you can't drop your pride long enough to listen to a guy that you doesn't feel like is qualified enough as a wrestling.
Rocky Shaw:There's a long as a wrestler himself and as a long, long wrestling fan. I mean, there's nobody I didn't see. I watched Hogan slam Andre. I didn't miss the sum slam. I had the whole VHS collection.
Rocky Shaw:My heart and soul is in the wrestling. I have was crushed when I had to the very end. Look. You can ask. I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna name call just a little bit.
Rocky Shaw:But I was crushed and heartbroken when I saw when I was told from the doctors that I had to leave the ring because of my heart. I was supposed to, that night, compete against mister Atlanta for a spot at the prime time championship. Do you know how crushed I was? I I'm still crushed by it. For me having to say, I can't take this match.
Rocky Shaw:My first opportunity. Probably maybe my last. I don't know. I'm not giving up. I'm gonna hit the gym and be in shape and ready for an opportunity.
Rocky Shaw:But maybe my last chance at ever taking a heavyweight title from someone. I was ready. And scary and stubbornly, my my wife would tell you. I would've gotten that ring and, you know, and it would've been selfish of me to get in that ring because I would've been thinking about myself. I would've gotten that ring and did my damnedest to pin his shoulders for the 123 and took a title and held on to it for as long as I physically could.
Rocky Shaw:And it might have been dangerous. It might have been detrimental to me. But I love my fans. And, I mean, and I love wrestling. But with that being said, there there was a lot of rambling there.
Rocky Shaw:My goal is to see everybody improve. I want us to see the same level. I've got the bloodline storyline. It's so good. Even when the crowd turned it, and we got Cody versus and we all I wanted The Rock versus Reigns.
Rocky Shaw:But we got Cody now. But now you put Cody you put The Rock coming back, you put The Rock in the bloodline, The Rock, Reigns, and the bloodlines to is more impressive than it ever was before. That is the level of storytelling that you just cannot top. But why aren't we doing that? I just, you know, I'm on quote.
Rocky Shaw:I'm a quote big Andy right now. When you give me a story, when you give me something, I'm sitting there watching. I'm sitting there in my seat, on the edge of my seat because I feel it in my, and I'm gonna mess this one up, in my baby toes all the way to my titty nipples. Man, that's that's what I want out of your stories. That's what I want you to make me feel in the ring.
Rocky Shaw:Make me care. Make me give a damn about what's going on. I mean, I I really just gave you my heart today. I poured out everything. I gave you some of my frustrations.
Rocky Shaw:I don't have an anger. It's not a bitch session because maybe maybe Rocky Shaw's time has come and gone. It's possible. And that's and that's all up to you guys. If it's time for me to I mean, we got a lot of people.
Rocky Shaw:Oh, yes. We got a lot of wrestlers that need to find out that it's the fact that we they should be helping you guys and moving out of the way. And if it's my time to move out of the way, then I will graciously graciously gracious. I can't even talk that right now. I will move out of the way, though, and I will help that new talent.
Rocky Shaw:Rocky Shaw would love the opportunity to and I've said it. People don't think a baby face action can happen. But give me a couple guys and let me bring in the gun club. And if you wanna really bug somebody in there, start showing them. Show up with signs that says that says hashtag gun club.
Rocky Shaw:Hashtag Rocky Shaw's gun club. Give me a couple guys. We'll focus on making them stars. Not Rocky Shala star. I had my time in the sun.
Rocky Shaw:If I'm I may have been in 1, you know, I may have been in more than 1. I've thanks to Mickey Henry. I've had some main event nights. Mickey Henry. Let's don't let me forget Mickey Henry, by God.
Rocky Shaw:If you go up to Boaz, Alabama, Mickey Henry is one of the true kings. If you wanna talk about a promoter, broker, and you can't top Mickey Henry. I mean, the man is a genius, and I love him to I love him to death. He's gave he gave me a lot of opportunity to grow. He made me a star in Boaz.
Rocky Shaw:He's been making 0 a star in Boaz. 0 is a star wherever he goes. And Skrilla the great, you know, in deep south, deep south champion right now, baby. Skrilla is a champion where and a king wherever he goes. And I can tell you pretty much you you asked the same thing.
Rocky Shaw:Scrilla, if you're if you're listening, my friend, my buddy, my my king, my fellow king, post on here What's your thoughts are about a wrestler working for free and working cheap. You know, What are we worth? What is what is our effort, our time, our heart? Of course, we could never get paid what it was what it's worth to what we put our body through. But we love you fans and we come out here and that's why we give it.
Rocky Shaw:And some of us give it harder than others. Skrill is working twice. Well, I think on the weekend, and I don't remember if it's I think it's this weekend. He works he he's got 2 title defenses one day, one earlier on Saturday, one that evening, and another promotion. Then on Sunday, he's defending his title again.
Rocky Shaw:Wow. Do what do we have? We do we have a champion that's just defended his title? Three times in 2 days. That's what'll make Skrill a legend, and Skrill should be somewhere else.
Rocky Shaw:I mean, we love we love him in deep south, and I love Eric Adams. That's my boy. But, you know, Jimmy Jules, you know, there's some of the best in deep south. Chad Skywalker, narcissism. Man, you got talent up there.
Rocky Shaw:And you got people that would give you a story along with that talent. So as I said, this probably went a lot longer than I intended to originally, but this won't be the last time. And the 12 gauge is so happy to be back. And you're gonna see me. I may have, I may have to buy a ticket next time to to come into the show because then again, they may not let me in the show to begin with.
Rocky Shaw:You may see me standing outside and getting turned away because the Rocky Shaw, the 12 gauge is no longer welcome. I know I'll always be welcome to deep south. Eric's Eric has no problem with the truth. I don't think primetime would turn me down. I think they're willing to accept the truth and what I've gotta say.
Rocky Shaw:But I guess for everybody else, we're gonna see because I know today, I heard some billings. But again, not my intention. It did not come out with this with ill will. I mean, I do feel hard. I put a lot of work into KLT and, which is now in AWA.
Rocky Shaw:A lot of my blood went into that. I spilled a lot in the on that mat. And I worked I did a lot as far as building my fan base for theirs. Got a little Liam, little Ryker, you know, the Morgans. I mean, I I've got the, the McElwee's, you know.
Rocky Shaw:Guys, there's so many of you and I'm I'm forgetting, due to the surgery, my memory is not as sharp as it has been in past. So I'm still kinda getting over all the anesthesia and stuff, but you guys are my family and I will truly miss you if I, if I do not get to come to the shows or if I'm not a part of those shows anymore. But that being said, the best of luck to all the promotions. The 12 gauge is gonna keep an eye on you, and I'm going to keep you in check. I'm going to tell you what you do bad, and I'll praise you when you do great.
Rocky Shaw:And, Aaron Dallas, I wanna send out a shout out quick shout out to you. Congratulations on the heritage championship win. I love Aaron Dallas to death, but that boy on top of the moon, the rest of you guys keep on working. Watch that guy that Aaron Dallas is probably if, if I had to pick it, that's my next contingent. That's who would be wearing that strap?
Rocky Shaw:I know Chris Kamikaze doesn't wanna get in the ring with Scrilla because Scrilla is just gonna rip that belt right away from him. And it's gonna be a done deal. Same thing with Zach Mosley. Chris, come because he doesn't have what it takes to pin him. He doesn't have to, I don't think Chris kamikaze has what it takes to beat pepper bottom.
