What is Paid to Bring Peace?

For multi-passionate creators who want to get paid for their knowledge and wisdom. Learn how to build a business that gives you freedom and flexibility to be your most authentic self.

You know, sometimes I
talk shit on Alex Hormozi.

Not really, but sometimes I call out some
of the things he says because I think a

lot of his advice is a little bit out of
touch with reality, at least the reality

of, like, where most people are at.

And I get it.

I mean, his ideal customer is
somebody completely different

than, than the kind of person
that I'm trying to help, you know?

But there's one thing that I used to
disagree with Alex Hormozi on, and

lately I've been kind of coming around
and seeing that there is a lot of

truth in what he, what he was saying.

if you follow him at all, you'll probably
hear him talk about this all the time.

He talks about, you know, how you really
just need to do more volume and just pump

out way more content than everybody else.

Like, do ten times more or a hundred
times more and just outproduce everybody.

And if you look at what he's doing,
I mean, that's the game he's playing.

He's pumping out like, I don't know,
I think he's doing, like, a YouTube

video every single day or, or maybe
more than that and, like, hundreds

of pieces of content a week on social
media and, and he's playing that game.

But, but granted, he has a team behind him
that's doing that for him, and he spends a

lot of money on his content team probably.

Most people are not in a position
where they can do that, you know?

Especially, like, a solo business owner.

If you're, if you're doing it solo,
you can only do so much volume, right?

But I do think there's a lot of truth
in what he's saying because what I

have found after working with a lot of
people over the years and just through

my own experience, is that the vast
majority of creators, online business

owners, are vastly underestimating
how much they actually have to do.

Like, people think that they can
get away with the bare minimum.

Like, they can just post a couple pieces
of content a week or send one email to

their email list every month or something.

And, like, most people, the
problem that they have is really

just that they're invisible.

Nobody knows they exist.

They're not putting enough stuff
out there, and they're not even

giving themselves a chance to win.

like, how can you expect to win if
you're just, if you're not even doing the

basics, not even doing the bare minimum?

and that's not everybody, of course,
but I just find that people have

unrealistic expectations in a way just
because of how often you've been sold to.

Like every other marketer out there who's
trying to sell you something, they're

trying to sell you on the easy path.

They're trying to sell you, like, "Oh,
you can grow your business without

posting content on social media,"
or, "You can grow your business

without putting your face on camera."

You know, like faceless
marketing and stuff like that.

And there's some very small amount of
truth in some of these things, and I've

even been guilty of doing this myself,
like telling people that they can grow

with paid ads and not use social media.

And, you know, that's true.

I've done that myself.

But is that realistic for most people?

Probably not.

I mean, some people can make it work,
but most people, they just need to

embrace the fact that You have to
put in the work and do the volume,

and there's no shortcuts, you know?

you're, you're never gonna get
ahead if, like, all you're looking

for is the shortcut and you're just
looking for a way to avoid doing

the things that you're afraid to do
and you're just avoiding discomfort.

I tried to do that for many years.

Like, I hid behind the scenes and
thought that I could get away with

just, you know, posting the very minimum
amount of content and not, you know,

putting myself on camera and putting
myself out there and speaking to my

audience and making video content.

And I used to avoid a lot of these
things, you know, because I just…

I don't know.

I'm an introvert.

I like being more behind the scenes.

It's just my preference.

But at some point, I realized,
like, my business isn't gonna

grow if I don't face these fears
that I have and just do the thing.

Like, just put it, put the stuff out
there, put the content out there.

Don't overthink everything.

Just take massive, messy, imperfect
action, And whenever I do that,

whenever I just get out of my head
and just start pumping out stuff, you

know, like just putting out content
every day, not thinking about it much,

just, you know, make it, post it.

When I post these, you know, audios in
the Telegram group and make these podcast

episodes, sending emails to my email
list, like if I just get into action

and just stop overanalyzing everything,
that's when things start to flow.

That's when momentum starts to build.

That's when things
start to work, you know?

It's just when you're
taking massive action.

And it's funny though, because when you're
taking all that action, all that stuff

that you were, like, afraid to do or
you were resisting, you start to realize

that it's a hundred times easier to just
do the work than it is to sit around

worrying about it and thinking about it
constantly and overanalyzing and planning

and strategizing and doing all this stuff.

I mean, you have to do a little
bit of strategizing and planning,

but, like, it's actually more
stressful to not take action.

It's actually less stressful
when you just take action.

Because when you don't take action
and you don't do this stuff that

you know you prob-probably should be
doing, it leaves all these open loops

in your mind that are unfinished.

It's like this unfinished task
almost in the back of your

mind, and it never goes away.

It's like this thing in the back of your
head that just never leaves you alone,

and it's constantly, like, telling
you, "Hey, you should probably do this.

You should probably do this.

You should probably do this.

You need to do this.

You need to do this, but you're not doing
it, so I'm gonna keep reminding you."

You know?

Like, you have this little voice in the
back of your head that just never shuts

up and causes you anxiety and stress.

Whereas if you just did the damn
thing, you wouldn't have that voice in

your head saying that because you're
doing the thing you're supposed to do.

So getting out of your head and
getting into your body and just

taking action and just letting things
flow, that is the, that is the key.

And I think Alex Hormozi,
somebody like Alex Hormozi, I

think that is his strength, is
he's just really good at that.

He's really good at just, like,
taking an idea that comes into his

mind and just, like, implementing it
immediately and just doing the work

and not trying to perfect everything.

He, he realizes that the perfection
comes through the action, that the

clarity comes through the action, and
it doesn't come before the action.

I see so many people who, stay stuck in
their business because they are thinking

that clarity is somehow gonna come from
trying to develop the perfect strategy

or plan It doesn't come from planning.

You can't plan your way into clarity, and
it took me way too long to learn this,

and I still tend to fall into the trap.

I'm not perfect.

I still sometimes catch myself,
like, overanalyzing every

single move that I make, every
piece of content that I create.

I'm, like, judging myself for it 'cause
it's not good enough or whatever.

You know, like, I'm a perfectionist.

I'll be the first to admit that,
and so this has been a challenge

for me to, to overcome this.

But yeah, just, I don't know.

I'm on a mission to, like, just
help people get out of their own way

because this is such a huge problem
for, for 90% of people, you know?

Like, and I get it.

You know, when you're doing something
that's uncomfortable or embarrassing

almost, like, like if you're just making
content for the first time, you've

never really made content, and now
you're, like, talking to the camera and

putting yourself out there, it can feel
extremely nerve-wracking and give you

a lot, lot of anxiety to do that just
because you've never done it and you're

not that confident doing it, and that's
how I was when I started too, though.

I-- You just have to realize that
everybody goes through that, so

you just have to be willing to push
through that period where it's,

like, cringey or embarrassing.

It feels awkward and uncomfortable,
and if you can push through that

phase and just keep going, eventually
it's gonna become 100 times easier.

Eventually, you're gonna actually be
confident in yourself and what you're

saying, and you're gonna feel comfortable
in front of the camera, and you're

gonna be, be comfortable expressing
your thoughts and your ideas, and, and

eventually they'll just be able to flow
out of you just like I'm doing right now.

You know, I'm recording this
podcast episode, no script,

no outline, no nothing.

These are just thoughts out of
the top of my head, you know?

Eventually you'll learn to express
yourself like that, and that's when things

start to get easier and easier and easier
because when you can kind of get rid of

that filter that you have, that part of
your mind that just constantly analyzes

and edits and, and critiques everything
you do, when that filter can kind of

dissolve and you learn how to get out
of your own way, that's when the ideas

start flowing, the words start flowing.

That's when you're able to just,
like, pump out tons of content

because you're not overthinking it.

You know, like, that's how Alex Hormozi
is able to produce so much content because

most of his content is just recorded live.

You know?

It's just like a live stream,
and then he, like, clips that up

into tons of different content.

So if you think about it,
like, what is a live stream?

A live stream, a live stream
is just literally him going

off the top of his head.

You know?

He's just talking.

He's just expressing himself.

He's just being himself
and speaking his mind.

He's not scripting that.

I mean, he probably does, like, planning
in advance and stuff, sure, but it's

mostly just him being himself, you know?

So if you can learn how to just be
yourself in your content, it's gonna

make it a hundred times easier.

so yeah, I don't know where I'm
going with this, but yeah, just

some thoughts on my mind today.

Hope it helps.

By the way, Script Lab, I just opened it.
