Part 1
Mannequin Pussy – I Got Heaven
Bliss Samsa – Higher Frequency
Benet – No Alarm
Briston Maroney – Sunshine
Slowdive – alife
Slowdive – skin in the game

Facts
Mannequin Pussy – I Got Heaven
- The band out of Phiilly are back with “I Got Heaven,” the Philly band’s first new music since their 2021 EP Perfect.
- Produced by indie rock studio wiz John Congleton, “I Got Heaven” flips the idea of modern Christianity on its head — or, rather, strips it down to its core beliefs. If God’s creation was indeed perfect, Manne-quin Pussy seem to argue: Why treat anything, ourselves included, as anything less than divine?
- Just a standalone for now, nothing larger announced, but hoping something is on the way, that track is slamming.
Bliss Samsa – Higher Frequency
- This is an artist who’s been ringing our ears with each release, and this one is much the same.
- Bliss Samsa is out of India and part of an amazingly vibrant indie scene there, this being just a standalone for now, but an interesting discog to give a spin if you liked that joint.
Benet – No Alarm
- This is an artist who’s based in Richmond, VA and given the volume of releases, it’s kind of amazing to think that this tune is one Benet’s debut album that just dropped last week.
- Can I Go Again is the title, which dropped courtesy of Bayonet Records, and we highly recommend you give this diverse album a deeper dive.
Briston Maroney – Sunshine
- This bit brightness is the latest but most likely not the last single to drop prior to the full album dropping Sept 22.
- The album is called Ultrapure, and is the Knoxville, TN-based singer-songwriter’s sophomore LP.
Slowdive – alife
Slowdive – skin in the game
- Just out Friday is an album that we’ve very much been looking forward to over the past months, and it is finally here via Dead Oceans.
- Everything Is Alive is the title, and is only the veteran band’s 5th studio album despite being around since the late 1980’s.

Part 2
Helena Deland – Bright Green Vibrant Gray
Beirut – So Many Plans
Lauren Mayberry – Are You Awake?
Andrew Wyatt – Maybe You Know Me Now
LAUNDRY DAY feat Matilda Marigolds – My Life
FKJ & Masego – Tadow (Ext vers)

Facts
Helena Deland – Bright Green Vibrant Gray
- Since debut with the Someone New LP back in 2020, many people have been asking when the follow-up would come from Deland, as that record garnered a great amount of highly deserving praise.
- Well, now we have the answer with this single, as Deland will be out with Goodnight Summerland on Oc-tober 13, so do keep an eye out for that and further singles.
Beirut – So Many Plans
- Another big album announced over the weekend is Hadsel, the release of which Beirut broadcast with this new single.
- Hadsel drops on November 10, and t/n Zach Condon wrote the entirety of the record on the island of the same name in Norway.
Lauren Mayberry – Are You Awake?
- For those unfamiliar, this is the lead singer of the band Chvrches, and the Scottish singer-songwriter’s solo debut.
- “For a long time, I couldn’t imagine doing anything outside of Chvrches but I think some things that I needed to write had to be done from purely my own point of view. I never really thought I’d write a piano ballad, or a solo album full stop, so life really is full of surprises.”
Andrew Wyatt – Maybe You Know Me Now
- Earlier this year, the artist released his first solo work in over a decade with a song called Beyond The Pale, and this would be the 2nd teaser from the Miike Snow frontman’s upcoming album titled Someday It Won’t Feel Like Dying is the title of the album, out later this year.
- This is obviously a major name to know if you don’t, as the songwriting credits are some of the biggest around, and Wyatt also did 4 songs from the Barbie film soundtrack with Mark Ronson, along with writing Shallow for Lady Gaga’s A Star Is Born in 2018.
LAUNDRY DAY feat Matilda Marigolds – My Life
- This is a New York-based 5 piece band that just dropped a nice new album June 30 called Younger Than I Was Before.
- Although this tune is a bit older, it’s just starting to get some major attention on the playlists and such over the past week, so we closed the triangle with that better late than never jawn.
FKJ & Masego – Tadow (Ext vers)
- Masego will be up in Seoul for the Slow Life Slow Live festival, which runs Sat to Mon Oct 7-9.
- Other artists playing will include Jessie J, Sunset Rollercoaster, Ruel, and Clean Bandit, so get yer tix if you’re so inclined.

Part 3 – Poppin Off!
Griff – Vertigo
Nicki Minaj – Last Time I Saw You
Royal Blood – Shiner In The Dark
Maneskin – HONEY (ARE YOU COMING?)
Jorja Smith – Falling or flying
Wilderado – In Between
Imagine Dragons – Children of the Sky

Facts
Griff – Vertigo
- A rather epic joint to start the pop tonight, a standalone for now.
- After touring for some of the biggest names out there over the summer, the London-based artist states it still feels a bit strange to release new music and be on tour, as they feel like different muscles artistically.
Nicki Minaj – Last Time I Saw You
- A standalone single about living in the moment and being mindful, this is definitely the big single of the weekend per the listeners out there.
- Chosen by Billboard readers as their favorite new song of the weekend, this one’s going places.
Royal Blood – Shiner In The Dark
- The English duo just dropped this heavy hitter Friday last week on their career 4th studio album.
- The album, titled Back to the Water Below, is available everywhere now and was self-produced.
Maneskin – HONEY (ARE YOU COMING?)
- After playing to sold out shows all over Europe, the Italian Eurovision winners are ready to hit North America with this single dropping right before they land in the US.
- The band will be rocking major venues all over the States in the coming months, followed by a live debut over in Australia after that.
Jorja Smith – Falling or flying
- We’ve discussed this album previously, but in case you’re unaware, this is the title track to the UK-based artist’s first new LP in five years’ time.
- Falling or Flying drops Sept 29, so keep an eye out for more to come.
Wilderado – In Between
- This is a band out of Oklahoma, and the song is their first release of 2023.
- Although still unannounced, the band are ready to drop a new LP quite soon, but we’ll have to wait and see on that.
Imagine Dragons – Children of the Sky
- So, we started epic and we’ll end in the same fashion, as Imagine Dragons just dropped this over the weekend, which is from a new RPG called Starfield, and the game is out on Wednesday for all you heads out there.

Part 4 – Fresh K Cuts
Joyce Yoo – Memories
YeonJeong – About Time
Hojean – 9 to 5
Bosudongcooler – Betty
Wedance – Can You Feel Around You
Troye Sivan feat Pink Pantheress & Hyunjin – Rush
GINJO feat SOLE – Different Hearts

Facts
Joyce Yoo – Memories
- This is the 4th career single from this budding singer-songwriter and composer based in Seoul.
- Yoo made debut back in 2021, and works under Link6 and independently.
YeonJeong – About Time
- For those that don’t know, Oh Yeon-jung is a singer in the K-pop group HOLICS, and works under LPA entertainment.
- Not new to the solo game, this would be the latest standalone in YeonJeong’s career, having made de-but in 2016.
Hojean – 9 to 5
- Our main Korean-American in Atlanta just dropped this tune over the past week, and as always it is extra smooth & creamy from Hojean Lee.
- This tune is kind of a brilliant play lyrically, demanding to be kissed by the other person like it’s their 9 to 5, or job.
Bosudongcooler – Betty
- Hot on the heels of releasing another track based on an English name called James, we have this latest joint from the Busan indie darlings.
- Both of these have been standalones for now, with no album actually announced just yet, but it certainly feels like it. Interestingly when I search the band, their genre in general info comes up as K-pop, which I’ll just say, I don’t think so, in response to.
Wedance – Can You Feel Around You
- As anyone who listens will know, we’ve been very excited about this Korean electropunk duo’s album, and SUM is finally here! We’ll play a couple tunes to take us into the dark tonight.
Troye Sivan feat Pink Pantheress & Hyunjin – Rush
- After dropping hints about a remix of his sultry summer single earlier this week in a series of TikTok teases, Troy Sivan dropped a revamp of “Rush” on Thursday morning (Aug. 31) featuring buzzy British singer PinkPantheress and Stray Kids member Hyunjin.
- Of course, Stray Kids would be the 8 member boy band who made debut back in 2018 after winning the JYP Entertainment TV program.
GINJO feat SOLE – Different Hearts
- Good collab here, as Ginjo is producer on the beats and SOLE provides the sparkling vocal accoutre-ment here.
- SOLE is originally out of Busan, and is a member of Live High and WSG Wannabe.
