Speaker 1:

Amazing. Welcome, everyone, to day three of Good With Money. Good to see all of you. Make sure that you are clear on your control of your Zoom experience. You can close out the chat if you're overwhelmed by the chat at any point, and you can also click the little carrot at the bottom to hide your chat previews.

Speaker 1:

Also, if you're not able to see Kate's screen when she's sharing her slides, you can click the little panel at the top of your Zoom window if you're on a desktop, and it's somewhere you might have to swipe left or right on your phone if you're watching us from a device. So get yourself together, grab your pen, your workbook, your glass of water, and here we go, day three of Good With Money. Welcome, everyone.

Speaker 2:

Hey. Thanks, Takesha. Welcome back, everyone. Day three today. This is your captain speaking.

Speaker 2:

We are landing the plane. But before we do,

Speaker 3:

I have some

Speaker 2:

really exciting things planned for you. So get cozy, lean in, use your tools as you need them. We talked about last time, just a reminder, if you notice you are getting distracted, allow yourself to move your body. There's probably some energy that needs to move. If you're noticing yourself going into judgment, use a tool, get up, move around, lay on the floor.

Speaker 2:

If you're finding that you are feeling impatient or bored, You can take me on a walk with you. You can do the dishes at the same time. Whatever you need to do to keep you here because your financial life matters. It is the one thing that will make everything else easier or inevitable. Thank you, Gary Keller, for that quote.

Speaker 2:

I use it all the time. I will tell you notes from behind the scenes. I'm actually feeling a little nauseous. We have had such an expansive experience that the enteric nervous system of my digestive system is just feeling that expansion. So this is my reminder that our body is wise, and it speaks to us in beautiful ways that the medical system often wants to try to silence, and it sees it as a problem.

Speaker 2:

And I'm going to invite us to see our body's signals as an invitation and as love and as wisdom. I know for me, I'm up at my edge right here with you, and it is such a pleasure, and it is such an honor. So let's dive in to day three. Alright, team. Can you see my slides?

Speaker 2:

Are we good here? Yes. Great. Okay. Who's ready?

Speaker 2:

Should we just take a collective deep breath? Let's take a collective deep breath. Okay. Here we go. And an audible sigh.

Speaker 2:

One more in. And an audible sigh. Okay. If it's not a little weird, why do it? Alright.

Speaker 2:

Here's what we did on day two, which literally feels like it was a hundred years ago. So if you need to be reminded where we've been in time and space like I do, here's what we got. We did a couple of practices, the washing machine and the butterfly hug. Both of those are practices that on demand you can use at any time to signal to your body that you're safe so that you can tap into your expanded capacity to be a conduit for abundance and to increase your energetic reserves to be able to have choice and act in new ways, learn new material, and show up as the inevitable wealthy human that you are. We also got into identifying your North Star, which is the amount of money you'd like to be earning or have in savings or have in your net worth.

Speaker 2:

So you did that section of the relaxed money map, which was your North Star. And then we talked about the possible routes to get there, and we really broke down one possible route, which is increasing your income. And there were all those slides with the bullet points. And those slides with the bullet points were our 25 levers that you can pull at any time to increase the amount of value that you're offering in a marketable way so that you can increase the amount of money you're receiving. And then we also talked about three possible ways, and this is in your workbook, but three possible ways that you can even tweak those a little bit further to be able to add more value by solving a more specific problem, solving a more higher, oh, how would you say it?

Speaker 2:

You like a more specific problem or like a more complex problem for a higher level client. We talked about those things because those are all ways that you can garner more income without working harder, right? I gave the example of health coach who helps people who have children with celiac as an example of that. Okay. Takesha already talked about the chat.

Speaker 2:

You've got your breakthrough emoji and the workbook remains in the same place, which is katenorthrup.com/workbook. We also have been doing some incredible homework giveaways. Now remember, the value in the homework is not in the giveaway. The value in the homework is the benefit that you get from doing the homework. So there was day one's homework, which was your now point.

Speaker 2:

There was day two's homework, which is your North Star. And then I'm going to tell you what day three's homework is at the end. But for now, I want to announce our winner of the Ariata Amethyst Mat, which is going to change your life when you lay on this thing. It is so deeply healing and an instant down regulator melt yum experience. So this is going to Kalia Jones.

Speaker 2:

Kalia Jones, or maybe it's Kayla Jones. I think it's Kayla, K A I L A H. Kayla Jones. It is time to receive your Amethyst mat. We will email you to get that off to you.

Speaker 2:

And then the person who, is our winner for today's homework, the due date for today's homework is Sunday at midnight. So you have all weekend and this homework is fun. It has the word magic in it. So get ready. And the person who wins this giveaway is going to get a Joovre red light.

Speaker 2:

Red light therapy is so wonderful for your nervous system healing, for collagen production, for immune function, for reducing inflammation, and it's been a really great part of Mike's healing journey around his skin. So now you want to know what we're going to do today? Today, I'm going to bring it all together for you. So you'll walk away with the three pillars of relaxed money like and no. Pillars help us to build stability.

Speaker 2:

And with a topic like money that, as we know, brings up a lot of things, that's what we've been moving through all week. Having that kind of stability of pillars is so helpful so we can locate ourselves and know what to focus on first, second, and third. So I'm actually going to give you that kind of map. And then I'm going to share with you the five high frequency ingredients for masterful money stewardship. And this is called the money magic potion.

Speaker 2:

And so you're going to use the magic money potion to build your specific methodology for growing your money and for having more money flow in your life. And then finally, we're gonna talk about the seven skills that the wealthiest, most relaxed, most generous humans have cultivated so that you can start embodying them right away. First of all, how fun was it last time? Oh, you know what? I think I didn't do that checkbox when I shared my screen, so let me go back and do the checkbox.

Speaker 2:

And in the meantime, I'm going to tell you that remember how we got to meet Valentina and Sarah? They are one of the finalists from our Relaxed Money case study. And now you're going to meet the fabulous Erica Jones, who is our second Relaxed Money finalist. So Relaxed Money case study finalist. Here we go meet Erica.

Speaker 4:

Growing up, money was a really tense and taboo topic in my home. It wasn't something we celebrated, discussed or asked others questions about. But somehow, magically, I was supposed to be good with money. I was not. Hi, my name is Erica, and this is my Relaxed Money story.

Speaker 4:

I'm a homeschool mom of three, a wife, and I'm an author and illustrator of children's books. And while I had manifested the artistic career of my dreams, I was still quite uncomfortable doing some of the things critical to my business like setting prices, paying attention to contracts, marketing and sales, etc. In my personal life, I would tune out meetings with our financial advisor and contribute to tension and budget meetings with my husband and I always felt really stressed when it was time to pay for things which happens like every day. So, when I stumbled upon Kate's classes for the second time in my life, I could tell she had unearthed something different in hers through her understanding of the role the nervous system plays in our lives. It was a new concept to me, but I could tell it was going to help me heal my own relationship with money.

Speaker 4:

Since becoming part of the Relaxed Money Community, I've learned how to recognize when my nervous system needs to be regulated and how to do that. I've been given the tools to process past financial traumas, and I'm now more confident discussing money with advisors, people I might owe money to, or people who might owe money to me. I've cultivated abundance in the form of friendships both in and outside of the community because I'm not feeling like an impostor anymore. I've learned that being good with money doesn't start with a knack for understanding stock market terms it starts with having a good relationship with money, and then flows out to how you relate to others about money. I've also set up new income streams in my art business so that I can make more passively and consistently.

Speaker 4:

I have learned I enjoy selling my books and art in person. My husband and I have more fruitful budget meetings And we feel like we are working as a team on our financial future toward what Kate calls our enough number. Tracking our progress, using the tools provided, we have experienced a growth in our net worth of 41% through paying off debts and experiencing the benefits of appreciation in our assets. One of the tangible money wins we are most proud of is attracting the resources in the form of a new job benefit and other scholarships to fund our children's college education. And it couldn't have come at a better time because our oldest daughter is starting college in the fall.

Speaker 4:

I was raised by two educators. They are no longer with us, but I know this continuation of their legacy makes them proud. Thank you, Relax Money.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, Erica.

Speaker 3:

I watched that one before and it made me cry. I thought maybe pre watching it would would kinda like smooth the emotion over, but it didn't.

Speaker 2:

So beautiful. Congratulations, Erica. So listen. There's no ceiling here. The better it gets, the better it gets to get.

Speaker 2:

If you're having an experience, this came up on the VIP call, if you're having any kind of experience of, oh, now I'm having this incredible expansion. Like for example, we heard from somebody in our inbox that attracted $50,000 unexpectedly. That's a big win, right? It's a big win. And there can be this sense, and Brene Brown talks about this, of foreboding joy when things get good and then we think there's a limit.

Speaker 1:

Okay, friends. Stand by. All right, friends. We will be right back. We had a little bit of technical difficulty.

Speaker 1:

All good? It happens. But make sure that you are taking note. There is a limit. Okay?

Speaker 1:

There's a bandwidth limit. Fool. Is real life. Isn't it good to remember that we're human? Okay.

Speaker 1:

Here

Speaker 3:

we go.

Speaker 2:

Facebook might have stopped, but that's fine. Okay, great. We're back. I have no idea what would happen. Remember, Takesha, how that happened last year on day three?

Speaker 1:

Oh my god. I know.

Speaker 3:

Remember?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Alright, folks. We are powerful beyond measure.

Speaker 1:

And human.

Speaker 2:

And human. I'm gonna grab my slides and meet you back on. The better it gets, the better it gets. So just confirming here in team chat. You're we're still good.

Speaker 2:

Right? You can see me. Is everyone good? Oh, except maybe I don't have my video on. Probably, I should put my video on.

Speaker 2:

Is my video on? Let me know. Oh, my video is on. Great. Okay.

Speaker 2:

So just I I can't see myself, but I don't need to see myself. That's not relevant. Fantastic. We are microcosms of an infinite universe in a constant state of expansion. And sometimes we come up against our edge, and we explode the bandwidth of the internet.

Speaker 2:

And then we have to hop off for a minute, reregulate with a dance break and a wonderful song, and then we come back with even more capacity than we had before. So just like babies are born, we have an expansion and then a contraction and then an expansion and then a contraction and then an expansion. And that's how it goes for our entire lives. So if you're experiencing any kind of like, oh, no, this is gonna go away, just like I told Beautiful Terry on VIP yesterday, you are the magic. Right?

Speaker 2:

If you're a high school musical fan, there's a wonderful song that's like, you are the magic in me when I hear my favorite song. Okay. We're very deep in tween musicals in our house, and I want you to know that you are the magic. That's not going anywhere. That's you.

Speaker 2:

Also, some folks may have felt a bit a Twitter or a flutter or when they tapped into their North Star and their desire. And maybe what came up for you is, oh, this is this is, too much. Who do I think I am? I don't get to who you know, all of that stuff. The thing is about our dreams is that they're as unique as our fingerprints.

Speaker 2:

If you talk to a hundred people, each one of oh, I'm not sharing slides right now. Oh, oh, folks. Okay. Alrighty. Here we go.

Speaker 2:

Mike, I need help. Oh, F three. Whoops. Now we're playing music. I'm on the wrong this is great.

Speaker 2:

Okay. Alright. Get out of this. Where's your Zoom? This is so perfect.

Speaker 3:

There it is. Oh gosh. This is amazing. Everybody, can you guys now? Present now?

Speaker 3:

Yeah. Just do it for me. Yes.

Speaker 2:

Good? The thing is that every single one of our dreams is as unbelievably unique as every one of our fingerprints. There will be no copies. And so your financial north star, whatever dream you're dreaming that money or savings or net worth, whatever dream you're dreaming around money, is not a fantasy. It's not even a dream.

Speaker 2:

It's a set of instructions. So let's receive what our dreams are, not as something we made up, but something we're being given. You are being given a set of instructions. And as my friend, Amber Lilliastrom says, if the dream is in you, it is for you. So I'd love to know in the chat, is that a helpful reframe for anyone?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Great. Let's do an activity, shall we? Now for fear of messing up my deck again, I am gonna go ahead and stop my share and see what happens. Am I just being seen on the Zoom?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Okay. Great. Fantastic. So let's do an activity.

Speaker 2:

If you're feeling safe to close your eyes, go ahead and do that or just have a soft gaze and trust even if you're driving or walking your dog or something, just know that you're receiving this too, and then you can come back to it. Go ahead and rub your palms slowly over each other and become present to the feeling that you feel first as the hand touching the other hand and then as the hand being touched. So practice putting your attention on being the toucher and then being the touchy. No need to turn that into a mind game. Just feel your sensations.

Speaker 2:

Just slowly kind of rubbing your hands over your hands. You could add in breathing into your lower back ribs as you do that. Maybe you could add in little gentle rub from shoulder to elbow as you cross your arms over your chest.

Speaker 5:

Great.

Speaker 2:

If you wanna bring your hands down to your sides or perhaps one wants to go on your heart and one on your belly. Bring your North Star to your consciousness. Whatever that amount of money was that you wanna make, your income, your savings, or your net worth goal. And remember, we took off the time stamp for spaciousness and for the exhale. Now invite into your awareness the person who already has that North Star.

Speaker 2:

So this is the person for whom that North Star has easily found its way to them, and they're experiencing it now. The amount of income, the amount of savings, and or the net worth. And notice who is that person? Don't judge what comes through. And if you're somebody who for whom visualization is not accessible, use whatever is accessible to you even if it is simply closing your eyes and listening to my voice.

Speaker 2:

There is no way to do this wrong. So notice who is this person who has this North Star experience? How do they move through the world? What's their vibe? How would you describe them?

Speaker 2:

What do they feel like inside themselves? What are they wearing? How do they walk? How do they interact with others? How do they go about their workday or their playday or whatever kind of day?

Speaker 2:

As you're receiving this information, ask, what is this person's name describing described in an essence? So what is the name of this expanded abundance identity? What is the name of the frequency of this updated money nervous system thermostat? Just see what comes through. Don't judge it.

Speaker 2:

Just receive it even if it doesn't make sense. Is there a name? Is there a song? Is there an image? A color?

Speaker 2:

Thank you to your psyche for that information. And now on the count of five you can bring your awareness back to your feet. Four, maybe wiggle your hips a little bit. Three, putting your arms down at your side. Two, rolling your shoulders back, and one, opening your eyes.

Speaker 2:

So I'd love a few examples of what was this expanded money thermostat frequency? Yeah. I'm seeing somebody's name. Name was river. Beautiful.

Speaker 2:

Ocean tide. I was sunshine. Beautiful. So if there's more of a general adjective that came through, that's fantastic. And if there's something that's more specific that came just to you, somebody wrote booblicious.

Speaker 2:

So maybe your updated money nervous system frequency is booblicious. When I did this exercise for the first time, the name that came through for me was Betty Bounty. So when I am noticing that I'm in lack, that I'm, in my old neural programming, I invite myself to step into the frequency of Betty Bounty. And it really helps because that's the b step. That's the b step.

Speaker 2:

Okay. Let's go back to our slides. Thank you for all these shares. Keep it going in this in the, in the chat. It's super fun.

Speaker 2:

Alright. So hold your expanded money thermostat close. Write that down somewhere. This work around the expanded money thermostat is incredibly powerful. Marie Applegate Swanson, who's a member of our community, she came to our Relax Money live event, and she did a more extended version of this exercise in person with a few more details.

Speaker 2:

And she downloaded the updated money nervous system thermostat of Tallulah, Empress Tullula Freya. So Empress Tullula Freya presented herself to Marie as a possibility for stepping into more of that expanded abundance frequency. And then Marie ended up, as a result of embodying that frequency, booking a talk at SXSW, which is an incredibly coveted spot. I mean, it's a very, very big deal to get invited to speak at SXSW. She also ran into a random person at the airport who invited her to speak on a big podcast.

Speaker 2:

And she got invited to speak at a friend's company in a very big situation. Her expanded frequency of embodying Empress Tallulah Freya started lining up all these opportunities at her door. And today, we're going to talk about how that works. And for any of you who are musicians or who love music, you're going to really, really like the analogy. So let's go ahead and dive into the three pillars of making, growing, and giving relaxed money.

Speaker 2:

We're on page 33 of your workbook for my front row kind of students, who really like to follow along. We're We're on page 33. And as I go through, I'm going to actually, I'm not going to tell you that part yet. Just that's where we are. So pillar one is your financial foundation.

Speaker 2:

We're going to walk through the three pillars of relax Relaxed Money so you can put this all together and get it working in your life to create the financial life of your dreams, or as we just determined, to follow the directions of your next steps that you've been downloading as your dream. So we have to build the foundation first. We've talked a lot about healing your nervous system. So I'm only going to give you a couple of extra pieces here. One of them is the following.

Speaker 2:

Our nervous system gets imprinted, meaning we build neural pathways through emotionally significant events. So the way our nervous system catalogs something as important is if it's emotionally significant. Now, this can happen in terms of emotionally significant things that are painful and also emotionally significant things that are joyful. So traumas imprint the nervous system, but also joys. And we talk a lot about traumas, and I want to invite in also the conversation about like joys imprint our nervous system.

Speaker 2:

And there are three layers in which our nervous system gets imprinted or three ways. One is when we experience things personally. So when I experience something personally, and it is it creates a heightened sense of emotion for me, it will repattern my nervous system because my survival wiring is making sure to file that data away, especially if that was a painful event where I didn't have the support, the resources, or the agency or tools to do what I wanted to do about it to protect myself in the moment. That will really leave a mark. We also have collective nervous system imprinting.

Speaker 2:

And collective nervous system imprinting is not as commonly talked about. It's when we witness someone else who we relate to experiencing something, and it based on our mirror neurons, it leaves a mark. It leaves an imprint. If you follow me on social media, you'll find that I do not post very often, pretty much never. I have a policy to not repost traumatic information from the news because I know that if someone is following me who identifies with the group of people most impacted by that particular devastating piece of information, it is actually going to be traumatizing for them re see it on my feed.

Speaker 2:

Unfortunately, the way our media system is based on collective traumatic nervous system imprinting. So this can also work, though, on the opposite. For those who are mothers, illustrators, artists, for those who are black women, for those who are homeschoolers, Did any of you experience watching Erica's story this sense of collective nervous system imprinting of joy and possibility? I'd love to see in the chat, did that create an expansion for anyone? Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Cool. And remember how I talked about before, Valentina and Sarah's case study video to practice financial compersion, which is the part in our mirror neurons that can allow us to receive the joy and pleasure of something that is happening to someone else because our bodies do not believe the lie of separation. Our bodies don't believe the lie of separation. The lie of separation says, oh, that's happening for Erica over there.

Speaker 2:

Must be nice. But what's actually true and what we can double down on in terms of our mirror neurons is Erica's expansion is all of our expansion. We have the data for that. I talked about it on day one. Go revisit that data.

Speaker 2:

Get your brain repatterned to welcome in the truth that there is no such thing as separate. One of our success is all of our success, especially for women because we're inherently incredibly generous financially and especially for conscious humans who also are too. The bigger why why that we're doing this work in Good With Money is to get as many resources as in the hands of the conscious humans like the people right here listening right now, whether you're live or whether you're on the replay. You have incarnated, this is my belief, we have incarnated at this time to be part of the transition team to build a new earth that is a more beautiful future. And in order to do that, it takes resources.

Speaker 2:

And so that's what we're doing right now. And then the third layer of nervous system imprinting is ancestral. And so what we know from the study of epigenetics is that we are living out the fears and joys of our ancestors. That can be so beautiful, and that can be really heavy. My grandmother grew up, her dad left, she was abused, she grew up with next to nothing in the Depression standing in bread lines.

Speaker 2:

She slept in a crib with a bullet hole over it. She had a really intense life in her upbringing. When I was in my mid to late it was my mid twenties, I started getting panic attacks at sunset, which was so odd. I had I had no reason to panic when the sun set. It was illogical.

Speaker 2:

But every day, I was under a tremendous amount of stress in my life because I told the story of how I was I looked like I had it all together on the outside, but behind the scenes, I was kind of I was not tending to my finances. I was not taking full responsibility for myself. And then also, was in a relationship that I was not serving me anymore. And I was getting panic every night at sunset because my stress and threat bucket were overloaded. And so I was going into default patterning, default neural patterning.

Speaker 2:

And I mentioned to my mom that I was having panic attacks at sunset. And she said, Granny, always panicked at sunset. So I don't know what happened to my grandmother. I never will. She's not living anymore.

Speaker 2:

I won't be able to ask her that story. But there's something in my body that remembers. We all have that. We're all walking around with the memories of our ancestors. And what's so incredible, and I think what's one of the biggest miracles of our bodies is neuroplasticity.

Speaker 2:

And neuroplasticity is all of our ability to rewire and repattern. And here's the liberating thing. None of us needs to know the content of the story in order to repattern the neural pathway. So when I do the nervous system healing work that I do, I'm doing it on behalf of myself. Sure.

Speaker 2:

I mean, that's wonderful and that's worth it in and of itself because we all matter, but also I'm actually unlinking the stimulus of sunset with fear in my body. So I'm healing seven generations back and I'm healing seven generations forward because for my girls, whatever pattern was in there gets freed up so they will be able to live their lives with more capacity. Standby. I'm just really feeling my granny right now. Shout out to the ancestors.

Speaker 2:

Okay. We have a range of capacity or a range of resonance when we go beyond that range. And our range of capacity or our range of resonance is our ability to stay present in our lives and to stay optimized in our cognitive functioning and optimized in our biological functioning, our fitness, our respiration, our hormone system, our endocrine system, reproduction, our digestion, all of it. And life is gonna life. Right?

Speaker 2:

Like, there's gonna be stresses. There's gonna be pressure. So we're not getting out of that. The whole goal, we talked about this already, but the goal is not to suddenly feel calm and relaxed all the time. That ain't the goal.

Speaker 2:

The goal is to feel alive. We are here to have a full human experience, which means the high highs and the low lows and the full spectrum of living in between. However, when we have a nervous system that has a very limited range of capacity or range of resonance, will very quickly and easily pop out of that narrow band and go into a hyper response or a hyporesponse where we're either in fight or flight or plop, freeze, or fall. And those responses, while completely natural and normal, are not where we're at our highest capacity and full ability to just, like, be here in life. So learning about your range of capacity, learning how to expand your range of capacity is absolutely critical and it is the magical unlock.

Speaker 2:

We need to put in the reps daily with daily nervous system healing tools, know which ones to call upon when, and learn how to change our frequency at will so we are not the victims of our external reality. We're not the victims of the moods of the other people in our lives. We are not the victims of the news. We actually are people who can appropriately respond to internal and external stimulus and have choice, aka have power. More on power in a minute.

Speaker 2:

We can expand our range of resonance, our range of capacity through titration, which means small, doable parts over time. Putting in the reps, right? Not blowing past our limits. So many people in personal development are like, everything you want is outside your comfort zone. You just have to push.

Speaker 2:

And honestly, I don't even like the word push. People talk so much about I need to push past. No. No. What if instead we could learn to read our body signals well enough with so much attunement that we could find our edge, stay with our edge, signal safety at our edge, soften our edge, and find we have more capacity with no pushing.

Speaker 2:

That's what titration is, and that's what titration does. And when we do that, we become the thermostat instead of the thermometer. If you're somebody who walks into a room and you suddenly can read everything going on in the room, that is a blessing, of course, that level of empathy and intuition is a blessing if you're quite porous, but it also is not great if you don't know how to determine what's yours and what somebody else's. As you build your nervous system health and your nervous system resiliency, you actually can become the thermostat. So the temperature in the room changes when you walk in the door and you can choose to set that temperature at the level of safety, expansion, joy, full embodied living.

Speaker 2:

You know, there are people, we all know these people that just being around them feels good because they are thermostats. And we can be that too over time. And you can not only change your entire thermostat, you can change your money thermostat. We've talked about that. A word on time for people who are like, I don't have time to do daily nervous system healing practices.

Speaker 2:

I don't have time to, you know, I don't have time to tend to my body. I don't have time. I'm too busy. You don't have time not to do these things. Our dysregulated nervous systems are so good at creating a false sense of over importance and urgency.

Speaker 2:

For years, I thought I didn't have time for things like these practices. And then when I started doing them, I started making a lot more money and not needing to work nearly as intensely as I had before. The difference was not a new strategy. The difference was I had expanded my relationship with time. I had become a time bender through the very same practices around nervous system healing as allow you to become a money expander and a money magnet.

Speaker 2:

So if you if you notice yourself getting into lack around time, that also is a sign of dysregulation. Okay, as I'm going through these things, so go back on your, worksheet to page 33. On a scale of one to 10, when it comes to your nervous system, where would you say you are in terms of your money? So like, number one would be, I'm super dysregulated. I'm always in fear and contraction around my money.

Speaker 2:

A 10 would be, I have tremendous nervous system capacity. I'm most of the time, 90% of the time, I'm feeling resilient, I'm feeling open, I'm feeling supple, and just put it down in the workbook, next to nervous system. So one to ten, one to 10 scale. One being needs a lot of work, 10 being this is an area of tremendous strength for me. So next up is money clarity.

Speaker 2:

Of course, we can't create an empire or we can't create our incredible abundance without actually looking at our numbers and creating safety in our numbers as well. And so there are some aspects of money clarity that I want to highlight here. One is fleshing out your NowPoint with additional key metrics that help you gauge your financial health. So our NowPoint in the Relaxed Money Map is a wonderful starting point. It gives you a real broad overview of a general financial starting point, but it's not all the key metrics you would need.

Speaker 2:

And when it comes to your financial health, getting to know your full picture as you increase your capacity to feel safe and powerful while doing so is going to be really important, as well as crafting a spending plan. And by the way, I just I hope you can hear in the tone of my voice how exciting financial clarity can be. It will give you so much energy when you finally look at your numbers. It really will. I know that it's been a little tricky for some folks in the workshop and it was tricky for me for years.

Speaker 2:

I avoided doing this work for years because I was too ashamed to get help. But then once I got help, even though I didn't technically have the money to pay for it, I paid for it with, you know, on a credit card because I knew that I would accelerate my results faster if I got help. And I'm so glad I did because then I unlocked this source of energy that I didn't realize how much bandwidth my avoidance was taking up. I didn't realize how many unnecessary financial emergencies I was creating by being financially disorganized and financially avoidant. I mean, it was a ginormous hole in my money leaky bucket.

Speaker 2:

It was the biggest hole I had, for sure. And then when I started doing the key metrics, when I started crafting my spending plan, and that helped me feel safe and was aligned with my values, and when I started actually tracking my progress about every ninety days so I could see, Oh, wow, I am making progress. And then I celebrated along the way, it changed everything. And I had so much more bandwidth and energy to then put towards reaching my financial goals. Whereas before, I was just, like, leaking it out constantly, and I felt anxious and exhausted all the time.

Speaker 2:

I don't want that for you. I don't want that for you. That ain't for you. This is for you. Financial clarity will give you so much power back.

Speaker 2:

So where are you with your money clarity? Scale of one to 10. One is I what even is money? I, you know, one of like, have no idea what like, what? 10 is I know every number, you know, within a few dollars and cents here, right, give or take.

Speaker 2:

I have a a beautiful spending plan. You know, I have tracking software. I know what's going on. So where are you on a scale of one to 10 with your money clarity? Switching gears now into money and emotions.

Speaker 2:

Our emotions are tools, not adversaries, and feeling them is the solution, not the problem. When I got emotional about my grandmother just a few minutes ago, did you notice how I didn't apologize? Now I didn't expect that. I've told that story a million times. I don't know why all of a sudden today, it made me so emotional.

Speaker 2:

That's not a problem. There was something, some pattern, some energy that my body was holding that wanted to be released. So I felt the feeling. And I stayed present, and I dabbed my eyes, and I returned to you. We've been so conditioned to believe the false idea that our emotions are a problem.

Speaker 2:

Right? How many people were told, go back upstairs and don't come back until you have a smile on your face? Or, if you cry, I'll give you something to cry about. Yeah. Do you know why?

Speaker 2:

Because caregivers weren't raised by someone who had the capacity to be with their own emotional discomfort, and it can really feel like if I allow myself to feel this feeling, let's say you have an emotion come up, some tears come up, some rage come up, some grief come up. It can really, it feels so true. And believe me, I'm an incredibly emotional person. So I get it where it feels like if I fully take the quirk off here and allow myself to feel this, I'm going to go into a hole and I'm never going to come out again. If I start crying, I will never stop.

Speaker 2:

Or if I allow my anger to actually come up and out of my body, I'm gonna torch this entire effing world. Right? Anybody feel that way? Yeah. It feels like the emotion would drown me.

Speaker 2:

Here's what's actually true. First of all, titration, you know? So if you don't have a lot of practice feeling your feelings, you can give yourself fifteen seconds. So maybe you need to give yourself fifteen seconds and then use a tool to reregulate or maybe even distract yourself. Sometimes distraction can actually be a sign of health.

Speaker 2:

You know? We can just do the amount that we can do, and then we can build that muscle to go further over time. I will also share that my experience is that an emotion takes about ninety seconds to feel all the way in and all the way through. When I give myself over, I mean, now would not have been the most appropriate moment to give myself over fully to whatever was coming up about my granny. But later on, the other day when I was watching the case studies, I went into just a full emotional release.

Speaker 2:

It wasn't, I wouldn't say it was sad or happy. It was just like emotion. It doesn't even, we don't even have to label it. How liberating is that? It's just an energy.

Speaker 2:

It's an energy in our body that wants to move. E motion, energetic motion. So you can just let yourself feel the feeling. You can go scream into a pillow in the closet. You can go cry.

Speaker 2:

You can put on a grief song. You can put on an anger song and you can just go for it. And probably within ninety seconds, the feeling will change and you don't need to tell a story about it and you don't need to even label it as anything other than just some energetic movement that needed to happen. And what's so cool is every time you do that, it helps clear your nervous system. So feeling our feelings is a very effective nervous system healing tool.

Speaker 2:

And what's amazing is that for those who feel exhausted and burned out a lot of the time, There's some beautiful work by Emily and Amelia Nagoski, who wrote a book called Burnout. And in that book, they talk about that we have all of these emotional stress loops from intense experiences that we've had throughout our lives, not to mention the collective nervous system imprints and the ancestral nervous system imprints. So we're carrying those things around in our energetic and emotional body. And it's like 35,000,000 tabs open on our emotional stress browser because no one ever told us that actually when you have a fight with your spouse, the best move isn't to go just like make dinner and stew about it. The best move is to go scream into a pillow in the closet or go for a run or do any number of other things that will close an emotional stress loop to bring you back that energy that's wasted by keeping that amount of bandwidth open in your emotional browser.

Speaker 2:

And so feeling our feelings is one of the most effective tools for metabolizing stress to build our capacity to be here as fully present, fully functional, fully optimized beacons of life force. So we also can do something called parts work. And I've done some training in internal family systems, otherwise known as parts work. Some of you might be familiar with this work. And my theory is that parts work is very related to our nervous system neural programming, And that the different parts of us, whether they're the protector parts or the, and by the way, in parts work, the idea is that we have different parts of us.

Speaker 2:

So there's the part of me that's talking right here and I'm really present, I'm not thinking about other things. And then after I get off of this workshop, there may be a younger part or a protector part or some other kind of part that it starts to need some attention. And my theory is that those parts are actually interconnected to the neural pathways that got connected at those particular moments in our life when we didn't have the support or the tools or the resources or the space to fully process an emotional experience at that time. So it gets like stuck, like a little tangle in a necklace, if our nervous system were a whole bunch of chained necklaces all twirled together, right? So when we do parts work and we meet with the part of ourselves that needs that attention, and it's often a younger part, but it can have all sorts of right?

Speaker 2:

So there's this one part of me that comes up sometimes in our marriage, for example, called the tallyer. When I'm stressed out, when my stress and threat bucket gets overloaded, when I've not had enough space or time, or I just haven't been doing my my emotional metabolism practices and my stress metabolism practices, sometimes I find myself in a default neural patterning that is my tally or part that can get into like, well, you put the kids to bed, but I did the tit for tat. It's like, bleh, right? That part of me just needs a little love and attention and compassion. It's not bad or wrong.

Speaker 2:

It's just a part. And when I bring my love and attention to that part, it can unchink. It that little tangle in my necklace can and then there's more flow. Then I can go back to being the conduit of life force that I was meant to be, that you were meant to be. And so parts work can be an incredibly helpful tool around money and your emotions.

Speaker 2:

So now going into emotions on page 33 of your workbook, where are you, would you say, with money and your emotional intelligence? Is it a one? This area needs a lot of work. Is it a 10? Obviously, it's very likely something in between for you.

Speaker 2:

So go ahead and put the number that is appropriate next to money and emotions for you. Next up is your money story. Did anybody, here read my first book, Money, A Love Story? Anyone? Maybe we have some yeah.

Speaker 2:

Okay. So we have a few people who read who read that. And, your money story will run your life unless you decide to rewrite it and update it. And we've been talking about how we can rewrite our money story through nervous system healing, because by default, we are running our default nervous system wiring, which creates default behaviors, which creates a default story that you are not the narrator of. You're just like at the whims of your old programming, much of which you never chose, you just inherited.

Speaker 2:

So when we want to change our beliefs, we need to learn how to dump our stress and threat bucket and build the capacity for the energetically expensive activity of letting beliefs go and embracing new beliefs. So remember we talked about that your nervous system is like your body's electrical system. And if I bought an old home and, you know, in the town I grew up in, there are a lot of homes all the way back from the sixteen hundreds, but a lot of them are from the seventeen hundreds, the eighteen hundreds. If you buy a historical home and you wanna update the electric, it's expensive. Right?

Speaker 2:

Because you gotta get an electrician in there, and then you gotta take down the drywall, and they have to do the rewiring, and then the new new new wires, and then the new coating and redo the wiring and redo the drywall, redo the wallpaper, all that stuff. It's like expensive. In our bodies, it's the same way. And instead of costing money, it costs calories, literally energy. And if we are in survival mode, meaning our stress and threat bucket is overloaded, our nervous system, our survival wiring will not allow us to expend the calories to embrace a new belief.

Speaker 2:

In fact, when someone suggests a new belief or a new paradigm that's in opposition to our neural patterning, we may experience that as a threat. And I know there are people during this training who have already experienced things that I've said as a threat. And I know there are people for whom that's resulted in you feeling pissed off and wanting to attack me or our team. That is not because we're here to harm you. That's because nobody is out here, like very few of us are out here teaching how to dump the emotional stress and threat bucket to free up the calories to be open to a new idea.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. That's all it is. So you can be mad at me all day long, but I just want you to know I'm not the problem. I'm not the problem. Your capacity for considering something new is the problem, but I've given you plenty of solutions.

Speaker 2:

So actually now there's not a problem, right? When we practice increasing our nervous system capacity daily with drills and tools like I've been leading you through, we can engage in belief updating, which is the B part. And then we have the internal infrastructure to support learning new practices, learning new strategies, learning new skills, which is the do part, which gives us a new result, which is the have part. So Bridget Simmons is an amazing member of our community, And she had a really hard financial year, the year that she joined us in Relax Money. However, this was very recently.

Speaker 2:

This was like about a week or two again, a week or two ago. As of 09:00 that morning, she had just received a $30,000 sale. All at once, $30 deposited. And it came in a really easy way. And so what had started as a struggle to make the monthly payments for the program actually transformed into a really confident investment from someone else at twice her previous rate from a past client.

Speaker 2:

So this past client had previously paid half as much, but now was happily, easefully investing twice as much. And that was the power for her of this nervous system identity work because she was also able to receive it in a really normal moment in her life with ease of just like, yeah. It's a Tuesday, and someone's depositing $30 into my bank account, and it was freaking easy. No hurrah. No big ta da.

Speaker 2:

I mean, yes, it can feel like that, but it doesn't have to be like a whole thing. And that's what I love about this kind of rewiring work. So for your money story, how's it going with your money story? What's your relationship with your money story? And something else came up that I wanna address here as you're doing your rating on a scale of one to 10 with your money story.

Speaker 2:

One is it needs a lot of work. 10 is I've I've really rewritten my money story, and I'm freaking proud of myself, which I love. Two things I wanna say about this. One is that our old identity and this is gonna be connected to what I'm saying next about money and beliefs. Our old money identity is like a woobie.

Speaker 2:

And what I mean by a woobie is like your little baby blanket. So our daughter our oldest daughter has this little, like, what do you call them? With the babies, the little I don't know. I can't remember. Anyway, well, let's just call it a security blanket for the lack of a better word.

Speaker 2:

But she has this little whoobie, and she really likes to have it with her. And we can get hooked on our past stories and our past identities like a little security blanket, like a little whoobie. And we can really hold tight to them as though our past and our past identity markers or labels are our sense of safety. And that can be true for a while, but eventually, oftentimes, those become a prison. And there's a point at which they are no longer keeping us safe, they are keeping us stuck.

Speaker 2:

It will require a leap of faith. It will require an ego death. It will feel uncomfortable to let go of the old identity. And if you join me in Relaxed Money, I will hold your hand, and sometimes I'll remind you, hey there. I'm going to give you permission to just let that story go.

Speaker 2:

Because there comes a point in our development when we've built enough nervous system capacity, we've done enough rewiring where an entirely new possibility is now present, where we can create the future from the future desire as opposed to Xeroxing the our current reality from the past and from what we've known before. And that does require letting go of the trapeze of, like, what would happen if I didn't identify as that anymore? Who would I be then? And that gets really cool, and that gets really exciting. Okay.

Speaker 2:

Now your money and your beliefs. So humans are money are are money making machines. We are money making machines, and we are also meaning making machines. Our minds love to make meaning out of everything. And so we will make meaning out of all of it.

Speaker 2:

But one of the ways we hold ourselves back is by doubling down on the gripping, on the constriction, and on our secrets. I did a podcast episode about a year ago about the cost of our financial secrets. Hiding credit card debt from our spouse, hiding purchases, putting purchases on multiple credit cards, not telling people about how much we make, how much we owe. And I'm not saying you owe your financial details details to the general public, but oftentimes, we're keeping our secrets from ourselves because we've made our numbers mean something. Our numbers don't have to mean anything at all.

Speaker 2:

Math is neutral. Right? Like, when I do long division, oh my gosh, I can't do long division, but let's pretend I could do long division. The answer doesn't mean anything. Right?

Speaker 2:

It's a number. But we can, instead of attaching meaning to our financial past, instead of attaching meaning to a number, we can actually just liberate ourselves and forgive our financial past, forgive ourselves for the financial past, forgive the other people who contributed, whether it's an ex husband, our father, our stepmother, what you know, the con artists that we married who took our money. Like, there's the stories are vast. And forgiveness is a verb. My therapist and coach, Ann Davin, told me this one time during a session.

Speaker 2:

Forgiveness is a verb, meaning we can be in an act of devotional forgiveness all throughout our day, all throughout our day. And when we hold ourselves or someone else to a lack of forgiveness, right, when we hold a grudge, I'm sure you've heard this before, but it's a it's a good one. It's poignant. When we are holding a grudge, it's like taking poison and expecting someone else to die. So who in your financial past do you need to forgive?

Speaker 2:

Most especially, it's probably yourself. Money and beliefs. Go back to page 33. Scale of one to 10. Where do you fall?

Speaker 2:

Great. Now we're gonna move into pillar two. So pillar two starts in your workbook on page 34. We're moving on to page 34. For anybody who wants a little stretch break, especially we just had a conversation about forgiveness, you may want to just rotate your shoulders, open your heart.

Speaker 2:

Maybe give your heart a little space on the back too. Cool. Moving into pillar two. So we did pillar one, which was foundations. Now we're in pillar two, which is aligning with abundance.

Speaker 2:

And the first aspect of pillar two, aligning with abundance, is manifesting. I love reading about manifesting. I've been a student of manifesting since I was 14 years old, and my mom was mailed in the mail cassette tapes from my granny, Edna Northrop. Edna is so in the house today. My granny, it was like 19 let's see, it would have been 1994 and 1994 no, that's not true.

Speaker 2:

Anyway, whatever. It doesn't matter. Probably 1996. And my granny had discovered this incredible entity being channeled by this woman named Esther Hicks. And this entity was named Abraham.

Speaker 2:

And granny somehow, who knows, she's just out and about, she discovered Abraham Hicks in 1996. And she started mailing my mom cassette tapes that we would listen to in my mom's Mazda minivan. And I remember my mom telling me the power of holding pure positive intent. She said, if you can hold a thought for seventeen seconds of pure positive intent, you will activate the universe and begin to make that thing so. Now, I was 14, so I didn't know anything about anything.

Speaker 2:

And I was just like, cool. So I started practicing at that age. And what I didn't understand, though, because it wasn't being described this way to me, and I don't think most people understood, is that it wasn't about holding the thought. So I would try to, like, like, hold the thought, you know, like with my mind and like steam coming out of my ears. Actually, now, with decades of practice and learning, I've understood that it's not about holding the thought.

Speaker 2:

It's about holding the frequency. It's not a game of the mind. It's a game of, or I'll say it's not just a game of the mind, it's a game of the entire body, which includes the mind, but it also includes our heart and it also includes the rest of us. And so I started manifesting in a very different way. And what I've come to understand is that we don't attract what we want.

Speaker 2:

We attract what our nervous system feels is safe for us. And often what our nervous system feels is safe for us is at odds with what we want. I was talking to my friend Patrice Washington yesterday for an event that she was having. Give me a shout out if you were there. And she said, she asked me the question, what about when our the money we've prayed for doesn't feel safe in our nervous system?

Speaker 2:

And if you haven't noticed, that's literally the point of this entire training. It was such a good question. And so we've been describing this, but when you learn manifesting from someone who doesn't get it about needing our body to feel safe in order to call in what we want and who tells you it's all about the mind and the power of the mind, they're missing 80% of our potential. We know that 80% of the communication between the brain and body runs from the body to the brain and only 20% runs from the brain to the body. So I'm going to keep reading all the manifesting books and listening to all the things, but I got to tell you, I basically have never heard any of the experts out there talking about how important our body is in the manifesting process, and no one told me this.

Speaker 2:

I figured it out myself. Our nervous system is a tuning fork. Just like if you walk into a guitar shop and if it's silent in there, maybe you're there after hours. So you walk into the guitar shop, If you strum the c string on a guitar, the rest of the c strings start to vibrate. We live in a vibrational universe.

Speaker 2:

Our bodies are made of 99.9% space. And the fact that it appears that we are solid matter just has to do with the rate at which the particles that make us up are vibrating. And when I talk about frequency, that's not woo. Frequency is the truest thing there is. Everything has a frequency.

Speaker 2:

There's a frequency of my voice right now. There's the frequency of your heartbeat. There's the frequency of the light running through your nervous system right now in electrical currents. It all has a frequency. And so when we change our internal frequency, which requires feeling safe first.

Speaker 2:

What's really cool is all and we are starting to strum our inner guitar on the middle c. I don't think a guitar has a middle c, I think it's just a c. But anyway, like, let's say there was a big piano, maybe there's a gorgeous Steinway in this music shop and you hit the middle c real loud, all the guitar c's will start to So so when you start to hit that in your body and you practice, everything that's a match for that will start showing up just like it did for Marie Swanson with Empress Freya Tallulah, Empress Tallulah Freya. She started vibrating in the frequency of Empress Tallulah Freya, and she got booked at South by Southwest. And she ran into somebody with a big podcast in the airport who asked her to speak.

Speaker 2:

And then she got booked at this big corporation in Miami and, but it ain't got it ain't got it ain't got it on. Right. That's what happens. That is what manifesting is. It's not like closing our eyes and steam coming out of our ears, trying to hold on to a thought for seventeen seconds.

Speaker 2:

It's a feeling. And we know the frequency we're operating at based on how we feel. But many people in the manifesting space, in the abundant space will say, well, you just need to change your frequency. So just change your frequency. And it's like, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

If my body is in a state of panic and I feel fundamentally unsafe and like I'm gonna die, I can't just, like, change my frequency. No. We have to signal safety to our nervous system, which makes more channels available. So that's why we do these nervous system drills. Okay.

Speaker 2:

On a scale of one to 10, what's your relationship with manifesting right now? Scale of one to 10, put it down on page 34 of your workbook. We're going to get into the next one, money makeover. So my grandfather, he was married to Edna. His name was Wilbur.

Speaker 2:

And GW Northrop said, how we do it is what we get. So you'll hear people in the coaching space say the come from matters. If you've been around two entrepreneurs who were given the same strategy for sales, Maybe they were given the same script for sales calls, and they were given the same framework for sales calls. One of them is operating in fear and lack and desperation, and their nervous system is really set for the thermostat of lack and I'm scared around money. And the other one has been in relaxed money, doing the money and good with money, doing the work and good with money, and they've been updating their money thermostat, and they show up for that call.

Speaker 2:

You better believe that the one who shows up in constriction and fear and lack and I'm desperate and you gotta buy this is gonna have a really different conversion rate than the one who shows up and is like, Hey, like, here I am, here's how you're going to feel when we do this thing. This is what's going to happen. What do you think? You know, I mean, maybe they should be, I don't even know who that character is. I don't know who talks that way.

Speaker 2:

But there's a difference in how we do things. So two people can be doing the exact same thing, but get wildly different results. That's why we don't start with tactics in my programs. We never start with tactics because how we do it is what we get. And if we don't change the internal settings first, you're not going to get the results no matter how well you follow the strategy.

Speaker 2:

Or if you do get the results, they will not last because you haven't built the energetic capacity to hold them. Alignment really matters when it comes to how we do things. I'm going to make a little drawing here. Okay. Can you still all see me?

Speaker 2:

I think so. It's taken me three days, but I am a tech whiz. Okay. So my kids have these blocks. You might have had them as a child.

Speaker 2:

Maybe your kids have them now. But they have a little hole in the top, and you put a marble in. Do you know what I'm talking about, those blocks? Okay. So you line a bunch of them up, and there's a hole in the top that goes all the way through.

Speaker 2:

And if you line them up, a marble comes a marble comes through. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry about it. So I'm gonna draw it, and that'll make it clear. So if I have a bunch of these blocks that have a hole right through the middle of it, and I stack them up, and they're misaligned, the marble, even if you drop a marble in here, it's basically gonna get stuck because the hole's not lined up. Versus if you line all your blocks up here and you drop the marble in, all the holes are lined up, it comes out the bottom.

Speaker 2:

Glad you think I'm a good shark. So that's what alignment is. Many times, we can be showing up and doing the right things. We're doing the Instagram reels. We're building our email list.

Speaker 2:

We're, using the right words to negotiate a higher salary, whatever it is. But if behind the scenes, we have misalignment in the way we are actually feeling about money, or maybe we are having financial secrets, Maybe we're out here as a health coach telling people to move their bodies and eat whole foods. But behind the scenes, we're actually, know what, that's like a very maybe that's not a great example. I'm going to use myself as an example. It's better.

Speaker 2:

Back in the day, in my early twenties, when I was making good money, I was not caring for it behind the scenes. So I had no problem bringing it in, but then I wasn't actually aligned because I didn't have the systems to care for it, and I was being avoidant. I wasn't being financially a grown up, which it turns out, I think being a financial grown up is actually really fun. I used to be avoidant because I thought it meant being boring and. But actually being a financial grownup is incredibly powerful and actually quite sexy.

Speaker 2:

And so I had all this financial, I had all this misalignment. It makes all kinds of sense to me that once I built the financial systems, once I got myself nervous system healthy enough and got the support to co regulate with someone safe and look at my numbers and start tracking things and build a savings plan, it makes all kinds of sense to me that then my income tripled. Because now I had alignment and the come from matters. My grandpa, my granddad, I never met him, but he he died before I was born. But I I quote him all the time.

Speaker 2:

How you do it is what you get. Alignment matters. So are you experiencing any misalignment in your financial life right now? Is there something going on in front of the scenes that's not a match for what's going on behind the scenes? And if that's the case, it's okay, but this is just your moment to note it and then do something to take care of it.

Speaker 2:

So this is your money integrity check. Alignment is the same thing as integrity. Am I in integrity? This does not mean perfection. Right?

Speaker 2:

Do I still occasionally have financial stress? Yeah. I do. And what do I do when I have financial stress? I use the very same tools that I teach to our students in Relax Money to rebuild my capacity, dump my stress and threat bucket bucket, and come back to the truth of who I am.

Speaker 2:

That's integrity. Integrity doesn't mean you don't ever fall off the the wagon. Integrity means that when you do fall off the wagon, you actually behind the scenes are walking the walk. And if you're having trouble making money or if you're having trouble keeping money or if you're having trouble feeling safe with money, there may be an integrity issue. I had the, unusual experience of growing up behind the scenes in the personal development world.

Speaker 2:

So I many of the people that you've been listening to for decades would like, stay at my house or, you know, we're just around. I was around these folks who were giantly famous luminaries in the personal development industry, the spiritual world, and that in the health and wellness world. And it was, educational for me to watch the ways in which we like to pedestalize people, but actually, behind the scenes, there's not always a complete match with what things look like. But when there is a complete match or, you know, a mostly match, right, when someone is actually embodying the work, oh, it's delicious to be around. It really is.

Speaker 2:

And those are the only kind of teachers that I'm interested in. And when you are fully a match in front of the scenes and behind the scenes, I'm not saying necessarily as a personal development teacher, you don't you don't have to be that. But I'm just saying, like, if you are in alignment, people will feel it. They'll feel that resonance. They'll feel that marble drop, and they'll they'll wanna work with you.

Speaker 2:

They'll wanna give you money. That's why for somebody like Erica, you know, there was a direct relationship to her showing up with her money in a new way, healing her financial trauma, and then attracting these opportunities and scholarships to be able to show up in a bigger way financially and then increase her family's net worth by 41% and be able to have their assets start to grow. That's because she did the work behind the scenes to get into total alignment. That's how it works. It's really, really cool.

Speaker 2:

So where are you in terms of your money makeover? I call that a money makeover because it's like having everything match in front of the scenes, behind the scenes, the way we be, do, and have. Is it a match? Are we operating in abundance on all those potential levels? So rate yourself on a scale of one to 10 in terms of your alignment and your money integrity, which is the money makeover section.

Speaker 2:

Okay, now we're going to go into money, sex, and power, which is absolutely one of my favorite things to talk about. I was going to come check out the chat, but I'm going to keep moving on here so that we don't get distracted. So the second chakra is our power center. It's where babies come from. It's where many orgasms come from, although you can absolutely have a full body orgasm.

Speaker 2:

It is our power center. It is where it is the energy center in our body that's related to the way we operate in terms of money, sex, and power. It's the spot that has the greatest potential for opening and activation. However, in our culture, sexual energy and money have also been used as weapons. So there can be a lot of wounding, a lot of armoring, a lot of protective outputs in this area.

Speaker 2:

And I don't tread here lightly. You know, the percentages of sexual abuse in our culture for women, but also for men are staggering. And so if there's a protective output around your second chakra because of a history of abuse around money or sex or any kind of patterning, even if it wouldn't, if you wouldn't label it as abuse. There is an invitation for an opening here and power just like money is neutral. Power is the ability to do something or act in a particular way.

Speaker 2:

And we've seen, ways of using power in the world that aren't so beautiful. And yet, more and more, we're seeing ways of operating and being in power in ways that are really beautiful and equitable, that are generative, and that give more people access to power. So this part of our lives, this part of our our our bodies, this part of our energy field is so fertile, literally and figuratively, and we can reclaim it. And so when we get into a beautiful relationship with our money and with our power and we reclaim the power that's available in relationship to our sexuality, in relationship to money, and in relationship to power, it is a profound act of reclamation, especially if you are part of a group that historically has been marginalized. Audra Lorde has absolute beautiful work.

Speaker 2:

Her essay, the uses of the erotic as power is one of the most powerful. I can come up with a better word, but, really, it is one of the most powerful pieces of writing you could ever read around pleasure and power and the erotic, Life force energy. There's so much here. We could do a three day workshop just on this, but I hope that at least you're feeling the aliveness and the potential here. What we're talking about is life force, source energy, creativity, adding value, and abundance.

Speaker 2:

It's all the same thing. It's that which makes us come alive. I talked about the book, 10x is Easier than 2x, and we can have this illusion that, money is limited, right? Like, money is a limited, in limited supply, And if I have more, I'm automatically taking from someone else. That's not actually how the economy works.

Speaker 2:

And we talked plenty about that in day one. So if you're still feeling like, I don't believe you, that's okay. Use a nervous system tool, build up some capacity, and go back and listen to the data at the beginning of day one. Cool example about how money is created, not taken. How value is created, not taken.

Speaker 2:

So if you were someone who knew how to fix up a vintage car, maybe you got an old beat up vintage car that the engine was broken, and it didn't work anymore, and the paint was all banged up, and it needed, you know, a few bells and whistles, new new wheels, and stuff like that. And you put in the time and energy to do that because you know how and you have the expertise and you have a background in understanding how car mechanics work and which I obviously don't because I don't even know how to talk about this example, but let's pretend you did. And now you have this gorgeous vintage robin egg blue car and you go to sell it. The value you've created, the money that you're given from this car, for this car, was absolutely created from your ingenuity, from your expertise, from your education, from your skills. You weren't taking that money from someone else.

Speaker 2:

You created value where previously there was none, and now there's more. That's how we all are. We take the unseen, the energy, the idea, the creative the creative solution that no one had ever thought of before, the book idea that no one had ever written before, And then we bring it through our mind and our body as we're fixing the engine or typing at our computer. And we turn nothing into something, and then that helps someone else live a greater life in some way or solves a problem that they have. And then we've instantly created more value because we're translating life force energy, creativity, and source into something tangible here on planet Earth in the three d human realm that will make a tangible difference in somebody else's life that they value.

Speaker 2:

That's how this works. That's what we're talking about. This is alchemy. So rate yourself now on a scale of one to 10 in terms of your relationship with your second chakra, money, sex, and power. Oh, I almost had a sip of coffee.

Speaker 2:

Think we can all agree I don't need any more coffee. I'm gonna have water. You know, we're gonna hear from Wendy later, so I'm gonna pause on that. Okay. We're in pillar three now.

Speaker 2:

We've done pillar one, which was foundations. Pillar two, aligning with abundance, which was more of the energetics. And now pillar three is more tactical, more tangible. So the first aspect of pillar three is something I'm going to share with you called your money magic potion. Filling this out and handing it in or submitting it is going to be your homework for day three.

Speaker 2:

So listen up. I believe team did we make a did we ended up making a printable, like a fillable PDF for for this if they go to katenorthof.com/homework? Just gonna check-in with the team on that. So the money magic potion is the five ingredients of mask yes, it's printable but not fillable. Great.

Speaker 2:

So if you go to katenorthop.com/homework, you have a printable PDF of this. This is not in the workbook, but we did put a printable PDF for you. And you can just don't have to use that PDF to submit your homework. We'll talk about it later, but, you could just write it down on a piece of paper and submit the screenshot. So these are the five ingredients of masterful money stewardship so you can grow what you have and attract even more.

Speaker 2:

Number one is a vision for what more money means in your life that moves you on a heart level. We already did this yesterday. So number one is a review, which is what does more money mean in my life that moves me on a heart level? Maybe you have a particular cause that really moves you. You know, Scott Harrison has an incredible charity called Charity Water, where his story about how he created this and his ability to, this organization's ability to change the world, especially the lives of women and girls because of the way access to clean water changes their lives and their access to education, it moves me on a deep level.

Speaker 2:

So for mine, I could say that the vision for what more money means in my life that moves me on a heart level might be that I could not only give my daughters access to the most beautiful education that I could imagine, but also number two is a vision for what more money for you means in terms of positive impact for the collective. Like, who does it flow through you to that also moves you on a heart level? So number one is how's the money going to impact me specifically in a way that moves me emotionally? And then number two is, and then once my ecosystem has been replenished, where's that money then that's going to inevitably grow? How will that financial growth, how will me achieving my vision financially impact others in a positive way?

Speaker 2:

Maybe you can buy your mom a house. Maybe you can contribute to causes that really speak to you. Maybe you can offer scholarships. There's so many possibilities here, and and feel free to go ahead and, put your possibilities in the chat. Number three is an income stream or several for the money to flow into your at least one of which that is leveraged, aka not trading hours for dollars.

Speaker 2:

So it just so happens to be that I was watching Takesha's Instagram stories yesterday, and Takesha is the queen of multiple streams of income, and I love that. I'm a huge believer in multiple streams of income. I have had multiple streams of income since my teen years, believe it or not. And one of the ways that I make money and that Takesha was mentioning is through a direct selling business or network marketing. So that can be an example of a stream of income that is not trading hours for dollars.

Speaker 2:

Maybe you're investing in real estate, and that's not trading hours for dollars. Maybe you've written a book, and it's sold all the time, or you've you've, composed a piece of music, and it's sold all the time, and so you're earning royalties from that. So those are all examples of leveraged income. So you're not going to come out of the gate with multiple streams of income. You know, one is where you want to start, but over time, you wanna be thinking about multiples.

Speaker 2:

Number four is having a strong, loving container for your money with a clear system for stewarding it, aka caring for it. So often we say, yeah. Of course, I want more money. Of course, I want more money. And yet there's no clear system for it to be well taken care of.

Speaker 2:

You know, maybe your business account is all glommed in with your personal account and there's no clear division between your personal life and your business finances. Maybe, you know, you actually are literally balling up wads of cash and sticking them in pockets and you lose track of them. There's all sorts of funny things that people do with money that that aren't really a loving, clear container. And I like to make the analogy. If you wanted your children to feel safe and cared for, you wouldn't just, like, let them run all over the planet if they were young children without any guidance or without any boundaries.

Speaker 2:

It's the same with our money. Just like children feel safe with consistency and with good boundaries, our money feels safe with consistency and with good boundaries. So having a clean, clear, loving container for your money, meaning I know what accounts I have. I know how much I transfer here, there, and everywhere. I have a plan for it.

Speaker 2:

It makes you more magnetic to money because the money is like, oh, that that person that person, I'm gonna be safe over there. And then number five is a way or ways to get your money working for you instead of only working for your money. So if you have a job and there's a four zero one k at that job, you wanna max out your contribution so that some so that you know, that's basically free money if your employer has a match of any kind. And then that money goes into the market, and it is growing on your behalf at will with the market. Real estate investments, there's all sorts of different asset classes that you can invest in to make your get your money growing.

Speaker 2:

And you do not the biggest myth is that you already have to have tons of money to be an investor. That is a myth. You can start with $5 a month. It's powerful. Okay.

Speaker 2:

So with your oh, that wasn't okay. Great. That was just your money magic potion. Now we're getting into what's on page 34. Your enough number.

Speaker 2:

Okay. So your enough number is connected to the concept of sufficiency. If anybody here has not read the book, The Soul of Money by Lynn Twist, I 10 out of 10 recommend it. Sufficiency is the concept of the real feeling that it's enough. We are so programmed in this bizarre way by our hyper commercialized culture and our inability to even celebrate what already is and our dopamine wiring that has us just being the hungry ghost craving more to constantly feel like, I just need more.

Speaker 2:

I just need more. I just need more. And this is rampant. It can be rampant among high earners. I'm not saying that becoming a high earner makes you this way, but I think it's symptomatic of our greater culture, which is like, we don't know how to just be with what is.

Speaker 2:

Why? Because our nervous systems are so jacked up. How many people grew up in an environment where your parents or your caregivers talked about like, wow, isn't it so great that we have enough? You know, like was anybody in an environment with a caregiver who had an incredibly settled nervous system connected to sufficiency? Cool.

Speaker 2:

One person says my dad. I love that for you. So some people did, but it's it's not the majority. And so connecting to that sense of sufficiency is so powerful. How do we find our enough number?

Speaker 2:

Well, we connect in with our values. What really matters to us? Money wants to be used in alignment with our values. When we're spending a bunch of money on shit that doesn't matter to us because we're so caught up in keeping up with the Joneses and false status and trying to create belonging through all the bullshit of of buying things or going to the right school or living in the right neighborhood or blah blah blah. Like, it's all a house of cards built on sand.

Speaker 2:

However, when we get super clear on what matters to us and then we build our financial life around that, it adds so much stability and fertilizer, and that sense of sufficiency and satisfaction pretty much comes automatically. And then we can ask ourselves how much actually is enough. It turns out for many people a long time ago, they passed the enough number, but their nervous system thermostat is set to running And it's set to not being enough yet, personally feeling a lack of being enough and then actually feeling like there's still not enough. There's still not enough. There's still not enough.

Speaker 2:

And so if you can actually do the math, and I have an equation for this to figure out what actually is enough for me, for my dreams, then you can build in this sense of sufficiency that actually makes abundance more immediately available. And one of the aspects of this is creating abundance agreements. We do have a specific process for this inside my program, Relaxed Money, whereby you actually are building a custom set of abundance agreements to then guide your life. Because when you make decisions according to your actual values and your agreements to yourself, it becomes really easy to feel abundant. And then when you already are feeling abundant, right, frequency tuning fork, music store, and you're hitting that middle c, all the middle Cs come out of nowhere.

Speaker 2:

Everything that's a match for that level of abundance that's easier to find because you're operating according to your abundance agreements shows up out of the woodwork. So where are you with your enough number? Do you know what it is? Are you living according to it? Are you building toward it?

Speaker 2:

Rate that on a scale of one to 10, and then we're gonna get into cash flow management. So cash flow management is fun. Are you open to that being true? Cash flow management is fun. I used to avoid it, avoid it, avoid avoid it, years, years, years, years, years.

Speaker 2:

And And then when Mike and I got together, we committed to doing our money dates, and then we would skip them, and we would go to the movies instead, and we were really avoided about it together. And then finally, we got devotional about it and started doing regular money dates, and now I love them. I freaking love our money dates. It's actually one of my favorite things that we do a couple times a month, weekly a couple times a month. Your clear financial systems will be attractive to abundance.

Speaker 2:

So the question is, what accounts do I need? How do I divvy it up? What's the cadence of my financial check ins? How am I going to check? When am I going to check?

Speaker 2:

In what energy am I going to check? Because being in an energy of fear and lack and checking from that place, like being hypervigilant about it, is also not the path. So it's not about avoidance and it's not about hypervigilance. It's about some beautiful resonance somewhere between those two. And are you doing money dates?

Speaker 2:

Those are some questions that I would recommend asking yourself. What are you modeling for your kids around money, and what are you teaching them explicitly? And then what are you teaching them implicitly implicitly because they're hearing you or they're watching you or they're feeling you. I think all of us parents know that, it really doesn't matter what you tell your children. It matters what you model.

Speaker 2:

It matters what you're doing, saying, and feeling in the moments when you think they're not watching. This is your legacy. Is it something you wanna pass along? They're inheriting more than just money. Right?

Speaker 2:

Some kids won't inherit money, but we all inherit something. Now managing money with a partner can really bring up some stuff. Unfortunately, money fights and money tension is the is the number one cause of divorce. It was in my family. My parents were just on majorly different pages when it comes to money, they still are, which has given me a wonderful opportunity to make a clear decision about how I want to be.

Speaker 2:

But I see how it's so brutal for many people managing money with a partner. And it doesn't have to be that way. We have story after story inside Relaxed Money, and I'm gonna tell you one in a little bit, about actually creating a beautiful, even pleasurable relationship with your partner around money where you're on the same team and you're actually excited to do this together. Also operating with financial stewardship as self care. So when I was in a bunch of credit card debt, all of the professionals that I was referring to and I was listening to their stuff, they just all made me feel like, oh, so bad about myself and shame and guilt and ugh.

Speaker 2:

And instead, I thought, what if instead of treating my financial life as drudgery or something that I just have to do to be responsible? What if I treated it like self care? What if I put it in the same category as I would put a pedicure or a warm cup of tea or a meditation practice? And when I reframed it that way, I changed how I was showing up and the results changed. I ended up feeling like it was really fun.

Speaker 2:

And so that's what I invite you to consider. So Sadhya is one of our Relax Money students, and not only did her business nearly double compared to the previous years, which is really cool, the biggest thing was that her husband and her stopped fighting about money. She used to not even be able to talk about it with him because he was in total, avoidance, but now they are together on team abundance and her husband supports her business, which used to really be a source of tension in their marriage. So she said that Relax Money didn't just save my business, it saved my marriage. And I will tell you, I have a hundred stories where this came from.

Speaker 2:

And as a child of divorce, I can't even tell you how powerful it is to be able to pass along the tools and the support that my parents didn't have to get on the same page, to heal together around this topic so that new financial legacies can be created. Okay. So where are you in terms of your cash flow management? Scale of one to 10. Where would you where would you say you would fall?

Speaker 2:

Now we're going to get into making more money. People love talking about making more money, so this is a sexy one. Who here does not want to make more money? Anyone? Anyone not wanna make more money?

Speaker 2:

Okay. I see nobody. So perfect. Abundant empress sovereigns make more money by adding more value, not by working more hours. We've talked about that.

Speaker 2:

So how does one leverage their time and energy to get paid more than once on the work they do? How do we start seeing and tapping into money everywhere? I'm asking these questions. I'm not gonna answer them all today. But I'm asking these questions so that we can activate your subconscious and you can start programming yourself to look for the answers.

Speaker 2:

You'll be amazed how all of a sudden an opportunity is going to present itself to you. And you're going to be like, wait a second. That lady was talking about seeing and tapping into money everywhere, and now I'm having all these opportunities come out of nowhere. That's how it happens when we ask this kind of powerful question. So there are two sides of what's called the cash flow quadrant.

Speaker 2:

Robert Kiyosaki created this framework. I'm not an exclusive across the board fan of what he does, but this particular piece I think is helpful. So he talks about being an employee or being self employed, and employees and self employed people tend to have non leveraged income, meaning their income is connected to how many hours they work versus business owners and investors who are able to disconnect the amount of effort they put in from the amount of income they make. So you wanna be thinking about how can I move from being only making my income in the employee or self employed category to start thinking through how could I become a business owner where I'm I I own a system that's working for me whether I'm working or not? How can I become an investor where I take my money and then I invest it in assets, things like real estate, stocks, bonds, crypto, other businesses?

Speaker 2:

So I'm investing it in assets that then grow that money for me when I'm not working. That's gonna be a new concept for some people. For some people, you're already doing it. It's important to include because it's practical, and it will liberate you from the rat race. So where are you in terms of making more money, especially from a leveraged perspective?

Speaker 2:

On a scale of one to 10. Write it down. K. I'm gonna stop for a washing machine break. So you can go ahead and use whatever tool you'd like to do.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna do my washing machine here. Just digest a little bit. Regain some capacity. Okay. Awesome.

Speaker 2:

So now we're going into invoices for blessings already received, formerly known as debt. Invoices for blessings already received is what I like to call what other people call debt. Because all it is is an outstanding invoice that you owe money for from something you already got to receive. And quite frankly, having debt is a privilege. There are many places in the world that you are not able to actually purchase anything or receive anything unless you have the cash.

Speaker 2:

Now we can talk about if that's a good thing or if that's a bad thing, but I'm just telling you, don't take it for granted because it's not how every place works. For example, if you went to college and you took out student loans and you received your education ahead of time, and then you're paying that back over time, you got the education, and now you have an invoice for a blessing already received. So cool. Hopefully, that helps to release some of the weight around it. And I think that Louise Hay may have originally coined this term, but I can't find any place where she said it.

Speaker 2:

So but I'm just gonna give give Lulu a shout out. The truth about debt is that it's neither bad or good. It's just math. You receive something and now you need to pay for it later. That's it.

Speaker 2:

Just the facts, ma'am. Just the facts. There are also secret ways to use debt to make more money. And folks who are conditioned to believe that all debt is bad are not able to utilize these secret strategies, and that's a bummer. That's a perfect example of if you were conditioned that all debt is bad, you will not even consider or look for or be open to opportunities to use it to be able to make more money.

Speaker 2:

And you will shut all of that down, and you will stay small unnecessarily. And you may not like me saying that not all debt is bad, and you might disagree with me, and that's okay. But just know that there's a whole world of people using debt in ways that actually make them money in super smart ways. In fact, the entire financial industry is doing that, and that's possible for you too. So a lot of people ask, how do I prioritize what I pay first?

Speaker 2:

Is it possible to eliminate debt while still feeling abundant? Or do I have to be in deprivation until I pay off my invoices for blessings already received? And one of the things I wanna offer around this is that we can rewire our dopamine circuitry around spending money and saving money. So for many people who have a history of overspending and ending up in consumer debt, there's a dopamine hit from shopping, whether it's for themselves, for their children, whatever. It may be totally unconscious.

Speaker 2:

And so that dopamine circuitry in our body, in our brain, is the circuitry of wanting. And the dopamine circuitry says, I want, I want, I want, I want. And it it, leads our behavior towards doing something like going to Target and filling our cart with $300 of items, even though we only plan to go in for, you know, a pack of toilet paper. Interestingly enough, there's another part of our circuitry called, the having circuitry, and it has to do with the way oxytocin moves through our body and some other bonding hormones and some different, some different neurochemicals. The dopamine circuitry never is satisfied.

Speaker 2:

So even though it will lead us to eat the sugar or smoke the or, you know, inhale the cocaine or go to Target and buy a bunch of things or aimlessly shop on our phone. By doing the action step it wants us to do, it never satisfies it. It's a hungry ghost. Versus when we activate the having circuitry by learning to rewire our relationship with spending and saving using some of the nervous system healing tools, what we do is we end up moving into a completely different wiring in our brain where satiety, where a sense of I have enough is actually readily available right now. And there are specific ways that we can do that that will totally change your life and that will make eliminating consumer debt really pretty freaking easy.

Speaker 2:

So how about your relationship with invoices for blessings already received? Give it a one to a 10. What's your what's your rating there? And now we're gonna move into cyclical money management. So cyclical money management, for anyone who read my book, Do Less, this will feel familiar.

Speaker 2:

And this is about using the rhythm of nature, using the rhythm of abundance of the earth and the cosmos to guide our financial action steps. And there are four phases responsible for all life on earth plus gravity, And they are the ultimate feminine energy management system, and they are also the ultimate feminine money management system. Oops. And that was all I had to say on that apparently. There is a proper season in our body every month if we are having a menstrual cycle or with the lunar cycle every single month.

Speaker 2:

There's the proper time for planting financial seeds. There's the proper time for cross pollinating and building abundant flow with others. There's a proper time for detail work and bookkeeping and crossing our t's and dotting our i's and all of that stuff. And there's a proper time for the pause and connecting to our intuition. And when we operate in concert with the ultimate feminine money management system.

Speaker 2:

Just like when we plant our carrots in concert with the biodynamic farming system that has to do with the lunar cycles, we get more abundance because aligning with our nature always results in more easeful abundance. It gets rid of friction, and it adds a lot of flow. So where are you at in terms of cyclical money management? Rate yourself from a one to a 10 in terms of cyclical money management. And now we're going to get into our final one, which is wealth secrets.

Speaker 2:

So there are secret ways that people experiencing wealth think and do things that other folks don't. But why would we keep those things a secret? Let's just let everyone know. And the primary question that a wealthy person will ask is, how can I get my money working for me instead of working hard for my money? Because wealth means more than just having a lot of money.

Speaker 2:

Wealth also means the freedom to do what you wanna do with your most precious asset, which is your time. So asking how can I get my money working for me instead of working hard for my money is one of the smartest questions we can be asking? And it comes down to your freedom number. And your freedom number is the amount of money that you need to have in assets in order to be making enough money on that money to be work optional, to live without needing to work anymore. But you may very likely want to keep working.

Speaker 2:

I very likely will want to work and do this forever. So the financial freedom equation can help us get there. And our financial freedom equation is when your passive or residual income, so income from a network marketing business, income from businesses that don't require you to work in them, income from real estate investments, whether it's cash flow from short term rentals or long term rentals, dividends, interest from your investments in stocks and bonds, these are all examples of passive or residual income, income from royalty income. When all of that income that doesn't require you to trade hours for dollars is greater than or equal to your living expenses, you are officially financially free. And people do this at all income levels because there's two levers you can pull here.

Speaker 2:

One of them is you can increase your passive or residual income by learning to be an investor, learning business systems, so learning how to make a sales machine that works without you or with very little of you, you can also lower your living expenses. So there's a movement called the FIRE movement, Financial Independents Retire Early. A lot of those people really operate with profound frugality, and they bring their living expenses way, way, way, way, way, way down so that they don't need much money to live. That's a choice. It's not a choice I would make.

Speaker 2:

I actually don't want to cut my living expenses to nearly nothing, but it is a choice out there. And so what we all can do, though, is we can use the eighth wonder of the world. Does anybody know what the eighth wonder of the world is? Yeah. Great.

Speaker 2:

It's compound interest. So I'm gonna tell you a story to illustrate this. Back in the day, there was a king, and this king asked a very smart man who had come to give him a gift in his kingdom, and he wanted to reward the smart man for his contributions. And the smart man said the king said, what do you want? I'll what do you want?

Speaker 2:

And the smart man said, I, the sage, I would like you to give me one grain of rice and then double what I had the previous day, every day, for thirty days. And the king was like, what? Like, what are you talking about? That's ridiculous. But okay.

Speaker 2:

Because he thought one grain of rice and then two, okay, four, like, that's gonna amount to nothing. Great. No problem. What was so amazing, because the sage knew what he was doing, obviously, is that on day 12, by the twelfth day, he had 2,048 grains of rice. By the sixteenth day, he had 32,768 grains of rice.

Speaker 2:

And by the thirtieth day, the kingdom had gone bankrupt because he had over a billion grains of rice, which was bags and bags and bags and bags and bags, and they couldn't pay him. That's the power of compounding interest. So you can go to investor.gov, and you can pop some numbers in and play around with this. You could probably also do it with ChatGPT and put in, okay, cool. So if I wanted to play around with how my money could grow with compounding interest, whereby you earn interest on what you had in there before, so it just builds and builds and builds and builds.

Speaker 2:

If I put in a thousand dollars and I contributed only a hundred dollars additional a month for ten years at an estimated interest rate of 8%, which is about the average return of the stock market, and the compounding was monthly, I wonder how much money that would turn into. Well, here's what it would be. Over ten years, your thousand dollars would turn into $20,514 by only contributing $100 a month. Now you can see for the first five years or so, it does not seem that interesting. It's a little boring, in fact.

Speaker 2:

In fact, it would not satisfy the dopamine receptors. Right? It wouldn't give you that hit. But if you can build up your having circuitry over time so that you're feeling satisfied in other ways, you'll just allow your money to be able to grow, and it is free money. And that is the eighth wonder of the world.

Speaker 2:

So what do you think the best, smartest, highest return on investment possible is? What do we think? Tell me in the chat. Mhmm. Correct.

Speaker 2:

It's yourself. No stock, no business, no amount of Bitcoin is ever going to outperform investing in yourself. And I have this on good, what do you call it? What's that expression? Good faith or anyway, whatever.

Speaker 2:

I've talked to some of the smartest financial minds in the world, fractional CFOs, financial planners who, you know, work with billions of dollars in assets, and everyone agrees. You are by far the smartest, highest return on investment investment possible, which is good news because you've been here investing in yourself. So congratulations. Do a little dance. Give it a shimmy.

Speaker 2:

And while we're doing that, go back and on pages thirty three and thirty four, if you have a colored pencil or a highlighter or a marker, you can color in the numbers, the items that you had a one through a three in red. If you do not have colored things nearby, it is totally fine. Just write the word red next to those items. If you had a four to seven score on your item, color it in yellow. And if you had a score of eight to 10, color it in green.

Speaker 2:

Okay? And by the way, I know our community well enough to know that some of you might be wondering about investments that are ethical and that are in alignment with your values. There's an entire world of learning how to invest in a way that is ethical, that is in alignment with your values. And notice if your nervous system started sending you into negativity around it's not possible to be a savvy investor and be aligned with my values at the same time, and people who've gotten wealthy from investments are doing so off the backs of other people and off the back of the earth. I just want to call that out in case that was going on for anyone.

Speaker 2:

And instead, ask yourself a better question. How could I invest my money in assets that align with my values and make my investing a prayer and also reap the rewards of those investments? Okay. Great. So color in your circles.

Speaker 2:

One to three would be a red. Four to seven would be a yellow. Eight to 10 would be a green. And if you don't have colors, just write the color next to it. Now inside Relax Money, we go through every single one of these.

Speaker 2:

And by the end of the program, you'll have all greens. That's the whole idea because there's not one of these that will work completely on its own. But when you get all of it working together, you are cooking with gas, and you really can go and friction reduces and flow increases, and this is where true abundance lies. So I'm gonna have us listen to the beautiful Wendy Snyder. I'm gonna make sure that I'm sharing my sound, and she is our final case study finalist.

Speaker 2:

So we're gonna have a little break with Wendy here. Listen to her beautiful story of how she got all this working for her in her life. And remember, financial conversion. As you're listening to Wendy, let this be true for you too.

Speaker 5:

A few years ago, I was completely burnt out. On the outside, things looked great. I had a purpose driven career that I loved as a positive parenting educator and coach, and a husband who fully supported my dream. But inside, I was exhausted because I wasn't even taking a paycheck. I was working constantly, often still writing emails or social posts at 8PM and wondering why it felt so hard to make money doing what I loved.

Speaker 5:

Something in me knew there was a deeper layer, something unconscious that was blocking the financial ease that I craved. When I worked corporate, earning felt simple, but selling my own offers, especially ones that support family and kids, felt heavy and sticky. Then I found Kate and the Relax Money program and everything changed. Kate helped me uncover unconscious beliefs I didn't even realize were running the show, like thinking money was bad or that rich people were greedy. She helped me notice the way I avoided looking at my numbers and how I was sometimes spending money to emotionally numb.

Speaker 5:

Most importantly, she helped me regulate my nervous system, to feel safe receiving money, and to rewrite the story I had around earning and abundance. Now, our business is profitable, I take a consistent paycheck, my hubs and I have regular financial dates, we work with a private budgeting coach, and we've implemented a profit first system in our company. I finally feel healthy around money. And the cherry on top? I'm now teaching my teenage kids how to build wealth from a place of integrity and calm, modeling abundance instead of fear and scarcity.

Speaker 5:

I will be forever grateful to Kate and Mike and Relax Money for changing my life. If you want more peace and power and abundance in your financial life, this program is absolutely for you.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, Wendy. I love that. So a reminder that you get to vote for these amazing humans inside the Relaxed Money Case Study Finalist contest. We'll be posting their videos, all three. So we had Sarah and Valentina, we had Erica and Wendy, and you can vote in the Facebook group.

Speaker 2:

So those will be up this afternoon in the next, you know, twenty minutes or so. So go in there, vote for your favorites, rewatch them, support these incredible humans, and they can win a VIP half day with me and Mike, a Relax Money Live, VIP ticket, and a Relax Money Live ticket. So those are our amazing prizes. So I just wanna thank you for any amount of time you've spent with me here either live or on the replay. We've been on such a journey, and it's just been an absolute honor to be here with you.

Speaker 2:

We are not done yet, however. So remember I said that for our final homework for the day, for day three, you can submit a screenshot of your money magic potion. And if you go over to katenorthrup.com/homework, there's a PDF of this. But remember, it's your money vision for you that speaks to your heart, that does something for you emotionally. It's your money vision that is connected to the world.

Speaker 2:

It's an income source, at least one, a container or a system for your money, and the vehicle for your money to make more money. So each of these can just be a sentence or a couple of words. You don't have to write a novel here, and then you're going to submit it at katenorthift.com/homework. And when you do, you're going to get entered to win the top of the line, incredible red light panel that has so many health benefits. We absolutely love ours.

Speaker 2:

So I have one last practice to go through with you. If you would like to step through this portal with me, I'm gonna stop sharing my screen, and I'm going to have Takesha, if you'd be game, play a little music for us. So if you can close your eyes. Do so. Notice your feet on the ground.

Speaker 2:

Bend your breath all the way down into your root. Bring your breath, your lower back ribs. In your mind's eye or just listen to my voice, I'm gonna invite you to take a little walk someplace safe, someplace beautiful. Maybe this is a place that you've been before, or maybe it is a place that you've only ever imagined. Oh, and you are just looking at a walk that decompresses you, a walk that releases stress, a walk that helps you to remember who you really are.

Speaker 2:

And as you're walking, you notice that on the path there's someone walking towards you. There's just an instant feeling of warmth that this person is important, that this person is safe and as you get closer to them and you look at their face, you realize that this person is you, but an older version of you. You notice the lines on their face and how beautiful they are. The softness of their skin, the way that as this person takes your hands in theirs, the skin on the back of their hands is almost transparent, paper thin and yet luminous. You look in their eyes and the sides of their eyes crinkle in the most beautiful, wise smile.

Speaker 2:

Those eyes that have seen decades. That face that has smiled a billion times and you're so happy to see this person. It's such an answered prayer. They just look at you and say, have an important message. I have an important message for you and it's about abundance.

Speaker 2:

It's about you and your money and abundance, and they lean in and they whisper it to you right now. Whatever they've shared, it feels just right. You say thank you. You have fully received the message. And now they reach one hand into their pocket and pull something out and drop it in your open palms.

Speaker 2:

It's a gift that they've brought for you, especially for you. They've been saving it for this exact moment. Feel the weight of it in your hands, the texture, the temperature. Closing your palms around this gift, receiving, letting it fully be yours, knowing it was meant for you. You look in the eyes of your older future self and again say thank you.

Speaker 2:

And they say, oh, just one more thing. I need to tell you to let go of this one thing. You can be done with it now. Listen for what it is. And as you hear them, you can feel that as they tell you to let go of it, it's already gone.

Speaker 2:

It is done. You have already let it go. You are already liberated. Your future self puts their hands on your shoulders, pulls you in for the warmest embrace. The kind of hug that just has you fully, fully let go.

Speaker 2:

Breathe it in. You release looking in their eyes one more time. They let you know that they are here for you anytime you need them. Anytime at all. You can come back here anytime.

Speaker 2:

You say thank you again. You turn and start walking back along the path that you came here on. It's one step after another. Walking back gently. Walking back fulfilled.

Speaker 2:

Walking back renewed. And as you return to the place you started, you start to feel your feet on the ground, wiggling your toes, moving your fingers, moving your spine, rolling your shoulders back, refreshing your posture and opening your eye. So feel free to share if you want to share what you received. What did you hear? And I'm going to go ahead and go back to my slides.

Speaker 2:

So Takesha, if you want to go ahead and bring the music down. So beautiful, these shares. Alright. We just went into the portal together one last time, and I'm gonna bring it on home. On the first day, I told you a story about my getting hit by a car in October 2022.

Speaker 2:

I remember the date specifically. It was October 25. This picture is me in the middle, blissfully in complete denial about what a big deal this was. And this is Mike on the right after the first of two surgeries. And what I didn't tell you is that behind the scenes, we had some stuff going on in our company whereby we had already needed to delay a launch for two to three months.

Speaker 2:

So we were ending we were getting close to the end of our financial runway, and we were gearing up for a launch when Mike got hit by a car. And we had a choice about that. Once again, we were met with a choice. And I went to the hospital. On one of the days I was going back and forth, thirty minutes each way to and from the hospital in Miami, hanging with the kids, trying to help them, you know, feel steady while their dad was gone for a week.

Speaker 2:

And I got to the hospital, I was going to visit Mike and do lead my mastermind call from the hospital. But I was flustered, and there was traffic, and I couldn't find parking, and I was late, and dah dah dah. And Mike, when I got there, suggested that I let the mastermind know that I needed to reschedule because my husband had just gotten hit by a car and probably that sufficed as a good enough reason to need to postpone something. And while previous times I wouldn't have been available for that suggestion, I would have just grinned and pushed through and and pretended not pretended everything was fine, but at least, like, shown up and done the show that I was supposed to do. Instead, I crawled into his hospital bed after I messaged my mastermind, and I promptly fell asleep.

Speaker 2:

If any of you are fellow anxious sleepers who need blackout curtains and earplugs and the room to be at a certain temperature and everything to be completely silent, you know what a freaking miracle it is to just lie down and fall asleep. The level of down regulation and nervous system safety required to just fall asleep in the middle of a room in the hospital is astounding. And what I knew based on this experience is that when I woke up from that nap and looked around, I was like, wow, something's different this time. I'm not operating on high alert. And Mike and I knew that this was really an invitation to repattern, to revisit old ways of being from a higher level of consciousness, to really practice our new wiring, our new thermostat, our new nervous system capacity.

Speaker 2:

What happened is we delayed the launch, which was a miracle in and of itself because in the past, I had just soldiered on. We delayed the launch and I found this place in me, this deep well of profound trust in source with a capital s. And I said, no more, no more am I going to push through when my husband's in the hospital? No more am I going to push through when my babies just need a present mom? No more.

Speaker 2:

And I decided to no longer let the fear settings that had operated for so long run my life. I found the capacity for choice. Viktor Frankl has a beautiful quote, which is, Between stimulus and response, there is a space. And in that space is our power to choose our response. And in our space, in our response lies our growth and our freedom.

Speaker 2:

That space is not always available to us, but that space to choose our response becomes available when we heal our nervous systems enough and build the capacity somatically so that we can actually have the power of choice, so that we can reclaim our true power. We were not put on this earth to experience financial stress and lack and pressure. We were not put on this earth to let fear put a damper on our life force, our entire lives. Abundance is actually our true nature. If you look outside, if you spend time in the forest, if you spend time in the ocean, what will be true is you'll reconnect with your true nature.

Speaker 2:

We are nature. Nature is an infinitely abundant system, all interconnected. That's who we actually are. That's our true source of power. Now if you stay on the path of expansion, fear and restriction will absolutely come up.

Speaker 2:

That's no doubt about that. Right? Like, there's no time when we get out of being human. That's gonna happen. However, in that moment, lying in that hospital bed, there was profound shift where I no longer was letting fear lead.

Speaker 2:

Something else took over. Something else took over, and it was that power to have a choice. And when we grow our nervous system capacity as we've been doing, that is precisely how you access that choice. So you have a choice right now. You can be the kind of person who continues to operate in old money nervous system thermostat behavior, who, just goes back to their default programming, who says, yeah, well, that's that's nice, but I'm not I'm not changing.

Speaker 2:

I'm doubling down. Or you can choose to rewire your nervous system and begin to operate in your new money nervous system thermostat, and you can choose the path of prospering through that choice. Now at this point, are you gonna be the kind of person who looks at the rest of the world, looks at other people, and points to all the reasons outside themselves that they can't have what they want and why things are the way they want? Or are you going to be the kind of person who, despite the realities of systemic inequity, also takes radical responsibility and finds the power that's accessible within them twenty four seven to be able to take radical responsibility for their financial well-being with the things they can control. Are you gonna be the kind of person who looks through the world through the lens of problems and just whines and complains and finds comfort and security through bonding with other people, through everything that's hard?

Speaker 2:

Or are you going to be the kind of person who operates looking through the lens of possibility and potential and all the abundant opportunities and resources that have literally always been there just waiting for you to turn tune your frequency to what's available. Are you gonna be the kind of person who comes to a free training like this and just is like, well, cool, and does nothing about changing their reality? Or are you gonna be the kind of person who takes everything they've learned with the way my team and I have literally just handed you the keys to your prosperous financial future and says, yeah, give me that key. I'm ready to open the door. So if you're that kind of person, my team and I are on the other side of the door waiting to welcome you in to Relaxed Money.

Speaker 2:

And Relaxed Money is basically where I give you the trainings, the tools, the systems, the nervous system healing drills, how to put it all together with the support and community and coaching and integration so that you can change your nervous system thermostat and learn how to become a total pro at making money, keeping money, stewarding money, growing money, and being a generous conduit for the rest of the world. That's what this is all about. It is not just a mindset course. This is not fluff on just change your thoughts, change your beliefs. You know that by now.

Speaker 2:

It's not your basic budgeting program or your average personal finance program where I'm just going to give you the latest tools and tricks to save money on your groceries and go into deprivation so that you can, you know, someday or maybe never actually live your financial dreams. It's not just about how to make more money without sharing the actual tools to steward that money. And it's not just about manifesting an energetics, and I'm not going to tell you, like, just change your frequency. And it's not some kind of disembodied spiritually bypassed program where we're gonna ignore your body, where we're gonna ignore systemic realities, and I'm just gonna tell you, you know, be in good vibes. It's not any of those things, which you know by now.

Speaker 2:

Relaxed Money is the only place where you're gonna get the complete soup to nuts holistic integrated blueprint for your entire holistically abundant financial life that's fully embodied and also fully practical. There is no other place in the world that teaches all of this in an integrated holistic way all in one place. You will only find it here. We start with the B, right? Because the B matters.

Speaker 2:

How you do it is what you get. We start with growing your nervous system capacity. Then we get into the do. All the strategies where you actually will be able to make more money, keep more money, saving strategies, cash flow management systems, all of that stuff matters and how to grow your money. And then also inevitably, we do that, when we become, when we be the kind of person that our North Star needs us to be, and then we start to be able to do the things we inevitably have what we want.

Speaker 2:

This program really allows you essentially to upload the codes, the frequencies, the nervous system thermostat, plus the strategy and tactics to be able to actually experience abundance now instead of later or possibly never. You don't have to wait forever. This can be your reality now. This is what we create now when you're able to use these strategies and heal your nervous system. The program is delivered via thirteen live modules.

Speaker 2:

I teach them live. So it's interactive, it's engaging. And then we have all the processes, the maps, the tools, the templates, the checklist, everything you need to actually operationalize this way of being and this way of doing money in your life. We also are not going to leave you alone with this. We have support, community, and coaching for an entire year.

Speaker 2:

Group coaching with me, community headed up by our amazing Takesha and our resident nervous system healer, Sarah, who every single month, Sarah Tacey, guides our community in upgrading their nervous nervous system capacity for abundance. And then a live event. So Relax Money Live is also coming up. So I could keep talking about it, but now it is your time. In just a few short days on Monday, the doors are gonna open to our only live cohort of relaxed money this year.

Speaker 2:

And if you're still here watching, I think you and I both know that there is a reason why. This is relevant for you. Right? Like, this is an area that you are feeling called to expand in, and it's so exciting. It is so exciting.

Speaker 2:

It is your time. So if that is you, if you know that this is an area you want to grow into, relaxed money is very likely your next step. And I'm going to ask you to save the date for Monday, April 28, because I'm going to be going live with an opening ceremony where we'll get into everything that's in the program. What do you get? What's in there, what are the deliverables.

Speaker 2:

We can answer all of your questions, and we can help you to determine if this is right for you. And, also, I'll go into how we can help you no matter what stage of that inner and outer wealth inventory you're at that we did. Remember that pyramid that we did on the first day? So no matter what stage you're at, I'm gonna explain how we can help you. So you're gonna see this link right here on your screen.

Speaker 2:

That's for the people who know already, I want to get to the front of the line. I want to know what this is. I want to get in the door before everyone else. So you'll just go to relaxmoney.com/priority. So at that link, you'll just go ahead and put your email.

Speaker 2:

And then when we open the doors on Monday, you'll get the information. So relaxmoney.com/priority. But now, in the meantime, I just want you to save the date. Monday, April 28 at noon eastern, I'll be going live for a bonus session. It'll be an opening ceremony.

Speaker 2:

It'll be a q and a. I'll give you the full details of Relax Money, and it is at the link you're on right now. So that's what's happening next. We do the entire Good With Money training, our team does, for this period of time. I feel like we've been in a portal together for a hundred years.

Speaker 2:

And then for those who want to do this work with my team and I, we move to diving in in Relax Money. So after the doors close to Relax Money on May 1 at midnight, which is next Thursday, our team will shift our focus and get into working with those who want to be part of this community to heal their nervous systems around money, to learn about money stewardship strategy, all of it, plus a live event. So I'm gonna see you Monday for the bonus live, and I'll share special case studies, bonuses, special prizes, and all of the yummy details then. We've had over 42,000 people here in Good With Money. This is by far the biggest event we have ever done.

Speaker 2:

It's some days blown my circuits, and I've seen from you in the Facebook group, and I've gotten the DMs. It has blown your circuits too. And so my invitation for you is to take really good care of yourself before now between now and Monday. The results we've received, the feedback is more than we've ever received before. Our minds are blown.

Speaker 2:

It's a really good time to lean into your nervous system healing, to rewatch the replays, submit your homework. We are just absolutely blown away. And you're here because you already know that abundance is your natural state, and you are ready to claim it. Should we say it together? Abundance is my natural state, and I am ready to claim it.

Speaker 2:

It's really been such an honor to mentor you and coach you during this workshop. And I wanna say that whatever path you choose moving forward, please do not do it alone. People struggle for way too long because they're trying to figure this out on their own. I did that for years, and it held me back significantly. Over the years, I have invested thousands of dollars since then in mentorship, coaching, therapy, healing, certifications, and hours of reading and trainings.

Speaker 2:

And when you join Relax Money, I will not hold any of that back. Now for some of you, I'm your teacher, and that's wonderful. But for some of you, I'm not gonna be your person, and that's okay too. But what I want to say to you is, and I want to implore you, this work matters. Your financial life matters.

Speaker 2:

So please do not go it alone. Find your person, find your coach, find your mentor, and double down and dive in with them so that you can get what you want. Your thriving unlocks thriving for others. Our liberation is all wound up with one another. And so please don't go this alone.

Speaker 2:

Your financial abundance matters in a huge way and I already said it, it is the one thing that makes everything else easier or unnecessary in your life. Your parenting, your health, your relationships, your sex life, your sense of general well-being is all enhanced by your relationship with abundance. And when you step into it, it makes it more available to everyone. We talked about that with Taylor Swift and Shakira and Beyonce. And if I'm your person, I would be absolutely honored to support you in your journey.

Speaker 2:

And I will see you Monday for what's next. But first, we're gonna dance. So if you've made it this far with me, we're gonna dance, and I'm gonna invite you to experience something that will actually activate and dump a whole bunch of nitric oxide in your brain and body and help you to integrate and accelerate the learning that you've done. So this is what I'm going to lead you through. My friend, Doctor.

Speaker 2:

Deb Kern, helped me with this, and it was inspired by Doctor. Zach Bush, and he has this four minute workout, and I'm adapting it today. I'm gonna go ahead and make sure my audio is shared, and we're going to dance it out together one last time in Good With Money. So just follow along, make it your own, and here we go. Okay?

Speaker 2:

Can you hear that? Okay. Great. We're just gonna start with an easy I've been grinding so long been trying to shit I see you, little cat. Take it out your own space.

Speaker 2:

We're just gonna Alright, folks. I am Alex Brown. This was a profound pleasure. I

Speaker 3:

will see you back here on Monday.

Speaker 2:

I love you. Bye. One more.

Speaker 3:

See you Monday.
