Speaker 1:

Alright. So let's get down to highlighting the latest releases of what's out in theaters for this week. Starting off with Sonic the Hedgehog three. Now this has been highly anticipated by many Sonic fans out there as it seems to be also the final kind of huzzah for Jim Carrey as apparently he's reprising his role once more for the antagonistic villain that is Eggman or Robotnik. And, if this is gonna be Jim Carrey's last, you know, acting role, you know you're gonna have to watch it because it's gonna be a great time.

Speaker 1:

Now I've managed to watch Sonic the Hedgehog three, earlier this week. I'll be honest, not bad. Not bad. This, film series has only gotten better with every sequel. And now with the third installment, the beloved blue hedgehog is back.

Speaker 1:

And this time, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckle Knuckles face off against a new powerful enemy, Shadow the Hedgehog. If anybody has played the, the games from the early two thousands, you'd probably have an idea of who Shadow is, his backstory. But this movie is gonna kind of, you know, act as an, an introduction to this character in the live action universe, even kind of flushing out his origin, his motivation, and is being voiced by Keanu Reeves. So it's got all the edginess you want from a character like this. So with the fate of the earth in the balance, team Sonic must join forces with doctor Robotnik to stop Shadow who's bent on revenge and armed with the deadly cannon, which is, something that the movie will talk more in detail about if you get the chance to watch it.

Speaker 1:

It's full of high speed action, unexpected alliances, and a heartwarming message about the cost of revenge. Sonic the Hedgehog three definitely delivers thrilling and touching moments that'll keep fans of all ages on the edge of their seats. If you're interested, Sonic the Hedgehog three is now out in theaters. And then we have Disney's latest live action adaptation. Well, it's not really live action.

Speaker 1:

It's more CGI based. I guess marketing kinda wants to call it a live action. But this is Mufasa the Lion King, which is basically a prequel to the previous, CGI Lion King movie, and it it dives deeper into the iconic Lion King universe with Mufasa, a a prequel that reveals the untold story of Mufasa's rise to power. From his humble beginnings to his bond with his treacherous brother, Scar, the film explores Mufasa's journey of love, betrayal, and sacrifice with, of course, breathtaking visuals, powerful music set pieces, and an emotional story. Mufasa offers a fresh perspective on the beloved king and his legacy, making a must watch for fans of the original saga.

Speaker 1:

If you're interested, Mufasa, The Lion King is now out in theaters. Then we have We Live In Time. This is a deeply emotional, drama, a romantic drama that follows Tobias, who is being played by Andrew Garfield, and Almont, who is being played by Florence Pugh, both very talented actors, bear in mind. And it tells the love story through the span of a decade, exploring their love, the loss, and the life's and their life's complexities. And it's told in a very nonlinear fashion, so it kinda jumps in between, you know, timelines.

Speaker 1:

The film navigates their relationship through joys and struggles, particularly as Alma faces a battle with ovarian cancer with with a really strong sense of being a story that feels very raw, it feels very heartfelt, and an exploration of what really, what truly matters in life. This is a film that will resonate with anyone who's ever loved deeply or faced personal challenges. If you're interested, you can, find we it's called we live in time, and it's now out in theaters. And those are pretty much of the latest releases of what's out in cinema. If I miss out on anything else, if there is something else you're checking out in theaters, hit me up, text me at 4215.

Speaker 1:

The six triple eight tells the inspiring story of the six eight eight eight central postal directory battalion, an all black, all female unit who overcame incredible odds to the war effort faced with racial discrimination, a lack of resources and impossible deadlines. These women showed resilience and determination in the face of adversity. Speaker 1:

The six triple eight is now out on Netflix. And then I talked about this earlier last week, but I I kinda wanna talk about it again. This is secret level, the the CGI animated anthology series that is perfect for gamers and animation fans alike. It delivers a unique anthology of 15 standalone stories set in the worlds of some of the most beloved video games such as Mega Man, Warhammer 40 k, Armored Core, Sifu, Concord, and so much more. Really, it is the ultimate animated series for anyone who's ever stepped into a game world and experienced the adventure firsthand and kinda wanna see it done in a different way, a new form of adaptation, a new form of iteration that you would honestly enjoy. So and that is pretty much all of the latest releases of what's out in streaming.

Speaker 1:

If I missed out on anything, do let me know. Join the conversation. Text me at 4215. It's lot or do. Would love to hear from you guys.

Speaker 1:

Let's take a short break. We got one more highlighting the latest releases of video games coming out for this week, so stay tuned. Pulse 95. Alright. We got one more segment to go, and that is highlighting the latest releases of video games for this week.

Speaker 1:

This is usually my favorite segment as you guys know. So let's start off with Indiana Jones and the great circle. This is from Bethesda Studios, developed by machine games, the developers behind the Wolfenstein series. So, you know, it's gonna be a top notch experience, a top notch video game. I've managed to play it earlier this month, and I absolutely loved it.

Speaker 1:

I've been craving some experience that was parallel to the likes of Uncharted and Tomb Raider. And Indiana Jones and the great circle was really the perfect itch that I was looking for, and, it really did exceed my expectations. Now to give you guys a bit of an idea of this game, you get to step in the iconic boots of Indiana Jones in this thrilling first person adventure set between raiders of the of the lost ark and the last crusade. So Indiana Jones, the movie, the first movie and the third movie, it takes place right in between that. The year is 1937, and Indy is on a race against time to uncover the secret behind the great mysterious circle, an ancient power that several shadowy figures are desperate to control.

Speaker 1:

From the hallowed holes of the Marshall College to the heart of the Vatican, the game really takes you on this kind of, like, globe trotting quest to solve cryptic cryptic puzzles and navigate deadly traps and face against some dangerous foes. And, whether you're scaling the peer great pyramids of Egypt or exploring the sunken temples of Thailand, this cinematic action adventure will make you feel like you're starring in your own Indiana Jones movie. And that's kind of how I felt. Like, I felt like I was stepping into the films, very immersive, really great action sequences, mind bending riddles, and some gripping character interactions, especially if you're someone who loves that character. It offers a lot for fans, and it kind of acts like a love letter for anyone who loved those movies, especially the original three.

Speaker 1:

So if you love action adventure, you like exploration, high stakes action, then Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is perfect for you. It's available now on Xbox and PC, and it's for free on the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Subscription. So if you're subscribed to that service, you can play it for free. It's amazing.

Speaker 1:

Then we have alien rogue incursion. This is strictly a VR video game, so I just wanna preface that you will require VR headset whether you're gonna play on the PlayStation, you need the PSVR two, or on PC, you might need the Meta Quest three or at least the valve, the valve index to play it. You get to enter the terrifying universe of aliens in Rogue Incurgeon, a survival horror where every step could be your last. Set between the events of alien and aliens, you play as Zula Hendrix, a tough ex colonial marine sent to investigate a distress signal from an old squad mate. What begins as a routine rescue mission quickly spirals into a nightmare where you discover that things are not what they seem, and the place that you went to investigate is overrun with Xenomorph.

Speaker 1:

So if you're looking for a heart pounding virtual reality experience where you navigate pitch black holes and you have to use stealth to avoid deadly aliens and other horrifying creatures, then you will love this. It's called alien called alien incursion. It's available now on PlayStation five if you have a PSVR, two headset or on PC if you have an a VR equivalent such as Meta Quest three or the Valve Index. So yeah. And then finally, this is, I played this a while back.

Speaker 1:

It came out this month, and, it's such an under highly underrated game. Called Among Ashes. I wanna give a spotlight to indie games because I was really impressed by this. So I'll tell you a little bit about this. It's it's a game where you find yourself drawn into a unique kind of, like, meta horror experience where you are playing a haunted video game.

Speaker 1:

And what happens is as you're playing the haunted video game, it kind of the the game itself is almost like seeping into your real world. Weird meta stuff happening. I love it. And, the game itself, the haunted game is set in this, like, stormy night in the early two thousands, and you're kinda sent a link to, play this weird horror game called Nightcall. And what starts as a typically creepy game quickly escalates into into something much more disturbing as you realize that the game you're playing may be more than just a piece of software.

Speaker 1:

It's alive. It's haunted, and there is a sinister story behind its creation. So as you dive deeper into this nightmarish world, you'll uncover the chilling narrative of how this haunted video game came to be, and you get to experience some of the horrors firsthand. It really is a game within a video game within a game. It's so meta.

Speaker 1:

I love it, and it has such an eerie atmosphere to it and some unsettling scares that really blur the line between reality and the game world. So if you're looking for a really solid psychological horror with a twist and enjoy playing games within games, then among ashes is gonna offer that in such a refreshing way. Again, if you're interested, it's called Among Ashes and is available now on PC. And I believe it also has yes. It's also available on the PlayStation five.

Speaker 1:

And that pretty much are the latest releases of what's out in gaming for this week. Matter of fact, we've kinda wrapped it up here on the on the evening buzz. That pretty much wraps up the latest releases of movies, shows, and video games for this week. And if missed out on anything, and believe me, I have so much is coming out every week. I can only cover so much with the time that I'm given.

Speaker 1:
