Episode number 19 whoo wait, baby. We made it The number 19 in numerology represents spiritual growth and expansion This number encourages you to reach for your goals and to dream big. It also represents faith, hope, and good luck. When you see this number it is a reminder to stay positive and optimistic. So you know I like to dive into that. So being that the number 19 represents spiritual growth and expansion and optimism and all that jazz. Has there been a time recently where you had to remind yourself like glass half-full, glass half-full. Oh yeah. Well, you know I think I'm naturally or I won't say naturally, but over my experience in my life I've become a glass half full, silver lining type of person. Yeah. And sometimes I feel like I have to dial it back because I'm like, I could be like, you know, my cat just died and I'm like, oh, but they're going to get fertilized into the earth, you know, I mean, and you know, cycle of life. I do believe that beauty becomes of all things. So I'll say that I'm usually the person that's kind of Helping folks realize like hey, this is the bright side Sometimes I think it's probably a little bit annoying for others. Mm-hmm. I do not care sometimes Sometimes she just I don't need a solution on your cat your glass. I don't forget the glass. I'm not that glass off the table. Yep. But when you calm down from overdoing it you be like you know what she was right. Yeah. She was annoying but she was right. I think for me with this transition and juggling so many new roles that I've kind of taken on it's reminded me to be careful what you ask for and what you pray for because if you pray to be booked and busy and make an X amount of dollars the there's gonna be time that you have to dedicate into doing that and sleep may not be as accessible or easily obtained as it was before So before I start to complain because I don't have that that all the time that I used to have I have to remember Okay. Well remember when you did have all that time what you didn't have mm-hmm which way you want to go baby girl and so with that in mind I let it go and keep pushing yeah I always kind of think about like you ever think about how everything we all know that there's a cause and effect or when you do something there's a you know equal response to that and sometimes follow me okay okay so I think about like, no matter what we do, like you said, there's going to be something that we have to give or take or take, you know, so even like, you know, recycling, I want to recycle. So I'm going to put this little plastic container into the recycling bin. But I had to waste water, rinse it out. Just do that. Right. So I feel like life is like that in so many ways. Like you said, like, I didn't want to be booked busy and paid and at the same time on the other end it's like well you're gonna be a little be sleep-deprived you're gonna be a little hungry you might not be able to hang out with your homies like you wanted to you might not have all that time to yourself and you might have to stretch yourself further but you still got the thing that you wanted so I'm not one that believes that balance is like equal on both sides it's constantly like this teetering to stay balanced. Balance is not a constant. So, you know, that was good. Be grateful for them lessons. That was right. That was, girl, I told y'all, y'all know what you go get. You know what you go get. So with that being said, I do wanna give a special shout out to our sponsors, The Business Entertainment West. They are in the business of providing entertainment on the West Coast. You can find them on instagram at bizent west underscore vegas and tell them thank you for bringing angie t back to the airwaves thanks y'all now the things like i said things are kind of picked up okay it's just like okay oh this is what i got going on but i can't forget my Okay, I was gonna let that...sorry. I couldn't help myself. So, one of my favorites...one of my favorites that's been keeping me, keeping me on track during the day, Blue Dream. Never lets me down. That's my favorite weed! Yeah. Flower, herb, whatever we calling it. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Absolutely. Blue Dream, it definitely keeps you...man...takes the edge off and helps you keep going. Creativity, elevating your thoughts, seeing beyond what's now. Man, that blue dream is healing. It is amazing. For real. So if you have a writer's block, creator's block, whatever, content creating block, just chill out for a second and you'll have a full to-do list in just a moment. So any other strains you can think of? Daytime? Wedding cake. I like wedding cake. Okay. Okay. It definitely gets me that wedding cake helps me to do the stuff that I've been procrastinating. The stuff that I really care about the mundane things like my laundry or the dishes or my plateau. Wedding cake gets me to work. Okay, so that's me that you know, I don't you know, can we mention Admiral? I don't think I don't okay Okay. Okay. Yeah, and it's a of not Not using it. Yeah, you're right. So yeah, that's okay a good one for me See my OCD don't even allow me to chill too long. I will cancel a meeting My dishes up has been sitting Hmm for a day too long. I got to do it. I believe in that too. Got to do it Yeah, because also I think about the nets right so I have plants inside my house, and so I don't I don't need all that Okay, I'm saying on the whole tangent. I'm just saying get the most sticky pieces and I got one of those little Net pullers, I got a little light in there Nets just go straight to it from my plants. Yeah, I'll see you put water in it? It's just like a it's the light that they get attracted to or whatever it's like that blue light and then it's also like a fan so once they get close to it just sucks them in like a vacuum of death and then there's a little sticky piece at the bottom and they get stuck on there you just take that out pop that in the trash place it. Wow! I got a new alocasia the other day and it was outside so I was expecting that there would be stuff on it so just put that baby on high. You know what my plants are growing so great everything is looking beautiful and I told myself I was gonna treat myself by buying another one so this is good to know because right now I have four plants and I haven't really had a big gnat issue but I'm like I don't know I'm that's kind of my hesitancy like is this next one's gonna bring them all in so it's good to know and it's just also making sure your soils not too wet all the time because that brings the you know the root rot and this is not a plant show but it could be it is actually yeah it is so yeah just make sure that you let your plants dry all the way out and then re-water them because I found that at first I was getting the gnats because my soil was just too wet too often and my plants were dying. And so do you spray the alcohol on top of your plants as well? Neem oil. Okay. Mm-hmm. Okay. So Dre has a TikTok that she does and she gives you all the plant stuff so go ahead and plug that real quick. It's bougie plant lady Of course it is Of course it is. Yes, okay At bougie plant lady on tick-tock, okay And there's that so there's been a lot of things going on in the world. I know right now there's a air quality situation going on in the In Midwest to because Chicago is affected by it as well. So apparently the index shouldn't be over I believe it's a hundred right now. New York is in the 400s and once you go past five it's like red alert high emergency. Chicago I believe is that like one something 140 as of today. So that's that's the thing my mom was telling me and she's in Virginia she was telling me she's like it's smoke everywhere from Canada. Is it on your side? I was like, maybe it's on the East Coast Canada I don't know but my and the cousin of mine lives in Jersey and she was showing me the index thing I was like that looks serious Yeah, and I mean honestly my heart goes out because I can only imagine you know, you didn't plan for this You know, you've got to go to work You've got things you need to do to be able to keep what you have. And then this happens. I mean, post office workers, um, public transportation workers, and they're saying to wear a mask, but unless it's an air filtered mask, what are we doing? Like a gas mask? No, they're saying that we're like the traditional COVID mask. No, I know. Oh, I know. That mask didn't work with COVID. So that mask ain't going to work. That mask ain't going to work for this smoke. It just... What I've learned from the pandemic is sometimes the appearance is all people need for comfort. That's all they need.
0:11:00
That's all they need, honey.
0:11:01
It just needs to look like you're doing something. Those of you who are still wearing your mask inside your car, by yourself.
0:11:08
Stop.
0:11:09
Go to hell.
0:11:09
You need, you need something, and it's not that mask. You need to release the fear of of dying because it's all gonna happen. Listen. It's all okay. I'm not gonna lie I was talking to my bonus mom in Chicago and she was telling me about the air quality and you know so I was like hmm maybe I should get an air filtered mask from Amazon before it like right now the price is like $25 so maybe I should get one now before the price goes up and then I was like maybe I should get two so somebody else can survive with me because who wants to I'm not trying to Will Smith. I'll pay you $25. You can get that. What was the movie Will Smith? It was him and the dog. Yeah I don't want to be that one either. I don't even think I got it. It would be just a big hit. No. By myself. Yeah so when we do the mixology classes with Mixi, one of the games is who, it's like who would, something, who's most likely to, and one of them is most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse, and it's always so interesting that I can eyeball the person, I don't even know these people, I can always eyeball the person that would kill everybody else so that they can survive. They're the poor person pouring a little extra whiskey in their drinks. It's always that person. But that's the whole thing. In the event that stuff hits the fan, what's the plan? You know, you gotta have your homies around the way. Look, we can meet up right here. Everybody come to my house right now. Knock on live, the group chat that we had during the pandemic, we like legitimately set that up was like okay if all phones go off or whatever whatever we're gonna meet here that's true and i was like oh this is really happening life is a movie i'm just legit i'm just the lead star in my role i just don't want to be the one somebody watching my movie be like gee this girl is dumb imagine if that's what the spirit world is like they're watching us like episodes and they be like oh my god again again yeah that's a real concern that's a real thing man hmm I imagine the ancestors be looking like look at this fool right here how did we get here we found you yeah I'm down here like but I didn't hear what you didn't say exactly.
0:13:39
Yeah.
0:13:40
Yeah. Yeah.
0:13:41
Okay, now speaking of movies, I know that The Little Mermaid came out recently. I haven't had a chance to go check it out, but I know you have. So what is your, what do you think? I wanna be where the people are. I wanna see, wanna see them dancing. I thought it was a great movie. Halle did her thing. Is it Halle or Haley? It's Halle. It's Halle Bailey. Okay, it is. It's Halle. Anyway, she did her thing. Excellent job. You guys check it out. I know you've seen it or not. Angie, you haven't seen it. I have not. But I will say they tried to balance the inlovedness by giving the prince a song. They shouldn't have done it no no but it's okay I'm not gonna I'm not gonna ruin it for you guys but I did think the movie was great the effects are really cool yeah it was good it was worth going to see I wasn't quite emotional like that one mean yeah where the girl was like crying next to a six-year-old or something but it was good yeah it was good but I'll tell you what was good. I saw the Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man. Have you seen the first one? Yes. Spidey-verse. Saw the second one, that one hit too. That's good, you be in the movies. Yeah, we do a lot of movies. Okay. Praise that, cause I, every movie I went to go see the last couple ones, I just can't help but to fall asleep. And it's not cause I'm not entertained, it's just, it's them jobs.
0:15:11
I'm lying. You know.
0:15:12
They done set the ambiance. First of all, I can't stay up for a Netflix show anyway. Yeah, the lights are low, belly is full, might have had a glass of wine, popcorn. Forget those on TV. But you know what's not that great and I'm sorry, but a man named Otto. Now, somebody had posted on social media like, Oh my God, I didn't quite cry. Not at all. It was it was too perfect like come on life doesn't happen like that it just doesn't yeah he got a pretty perfect death. Man I'm not gonna say nothing about the death scene. I'm just saying it's just that it was definitely it was a feel-good movie for sure. I Did appreciate that perspective that they had that he could at least change his mind from going from being this bitter old Dried-out man that was literally like he was the Karen of his neighborhood. It was the can can but but um it was a feel good. I wouldn't say it's Oscar worthy. I felt like my time was wasted. That was just not my, not my, that was not my cup of tea. Me and my auntie we sat up and we watched it and we looked at each other like well okay yeah R.I.P. Yeah so there's that. I just had to get that out because you guys tricked me. I was expecting like a real turn of events like oh He tried to kill himself, and he actually died. Where's the surprise? The movie would have been over if he actually died Now what was odd? I'll say was his friendship with the neighbor and how they fell out and it was like They fell out over shabby versus forward like what was that the reason that's such a privilege for that to be a real thing that gives me substance please it's a little service level yeah okay I'll get that out now there is a new color purple coming out did you see the previews for that and has a really highly highly Haley Haley in it, she starred in it. Maybe girl's booked and busy as well.
0:17:39
Yes!
0:17:39
And so that looks magical. Now this is my thing, I have given myself a vow that I won't watch any more slave movies.
0:17:47
They're not slaves!
0:17:48
But it's not a slave movie, I know, but if it's Jim Crow, it is black trauma, okay? Um, that's just what it is. But because it is a classic, I must see it. It does have a lot of other cool, bomb people that are gonna be in it yeah so I will absolutely be watching that one yes it's gonna be yeah I can already tell the music the just everything that they displayed in the coming out it's gonna be great so I'm happy about it let's see what else is going on oh I did want to mention this in regards to the weed news so I did have a couple people come in we talked about some of the licenses that some of the bills excuse me that they're trying to push through and as of right now It looks like the bill for the mobile license has been shut down Denied makes me terribly sad. Come on. Come on. Come on, man. I was ready That's how hard it is. And so just to refresh you guys the mobile license was basically able to You people can pay you to rent to borrow your license to have a festival to have events to be able to buy and consume cannabis on-site that's what the license is for this is the benefit because you don't have to have a brick-and-mortar you don't have any real overhead cost because people are going to seek you out to to utilize your license or you may you know collaborate and have your own event so yeah that that's shut down for whatever weird reason because i feel like people still get together and they smoke inside of these things and why not just yeah so okay that kind of hurt my feelings i'm not gonna lie it's always my concern of what i can say and not say so i'm not gonna say I'm just scum. I'm scared. Whoa. So do you have any anything new happening? Any events you got going on? Nope. Okay. Summertime, work, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That's about that. And I've been really kind of enjoying this time. Pretty much doing some upgrading to my house. That's been very slow, a very slow process, but the time will pass anyway. My goal is to get everything set so I can have a really awesome party for all five people that I care about. You're invited. I was about to say, what's your house? Okay.
0:20:24
Okay.
0:20:25
Well, it's just some different pieces that we're can I just talk to y'all real quick I'm exactly she ain't here I got a friend you go over you can literally film all type of everything inside the home right everything home girl got a drawer with trash can in it just so we're clear on the type of home So whatever setup you don't need. Throw the party. But our couch, Camo ate the couch. Oh, a new new couch.
0:20:55
Oh man, Camo been ate the couch.
0:20:57
You never noticed the couch is like. Their couch?
0:21:01
No, her dogs have their own couch.
0:21:03
They have. I just want to paint a picture. First of all, their couch was a part of our couch. Yeah, our couch has these little sections you can move it around and make it a mixed-use space. It's a great couch before camo because now it's got oil stains on it from when he broke into my castor oil. It's been chewed on every corner. The fluffing is missing out of some spots. Like if you sit wrong you don't get a spring in your okay so who we okay but it's fine I'm still thankful still blessed is that I have a roof over my head that's one of the things that I feel we were talking about glass half-full things like that one of the key things that I think for myself and why I am such a glass half full silver lining person is because I always try to keep in my mind gratitude like you know yeah our couches fall apart but we got somewhere to sit down. I'm just trying to tell you. So million-dollar home who cares it's gonna be a lawn chair in there. Who cares. It's not quite a million dollar home. Okay but I received that. $999. It's fine. I received it. So I do want to give you guys an update on what I have going on. So let's see starting. Oh, um, so once a month, I will be having a black women's breakfast. This will be at Mari Posa. This is a free event you guys can come. This will be so you can come and network. You come and network we talk about how we can help each other via social media, we we actually try to get to know everyone in the room so that we can know the person we need to network with. Because sometimes when you go to networking events you don't even really need the rigamarole. You just need to meet the person that you know one person at a time if you want. Meet the person that you need to connect with to help you get to where you need to go in your business and come back next month and figure it out the next time. No rush, no pressure. So I definitely want you guys to come check that out. And then also I will be doing a breakfast benefit for a nonprofit that I work for. This is called the Cupcake Girls. So we will be hosting this. Now this will have free massage, we have art, a silent auction, like all the things right. And MariPosa as well. This is June 24th. So I would love for you guys to come out and check that out. It's gonna be good time. I'm putting that on my account. I got this knot in my back. Now you know in particular. I did this. I did massage for 10 years, 11 years, but I promise I will not be unreasonable.
0:23:44
Okay.
0:23:45
Because at this point, just touch me. Please. I'm telling you, I had a Thai massage like 3-4 days ago. I just love it.
0:23:55
Like, yes. Where did you go?
0:23:57
I don't know if I can say it. What's it? Can I say where I went? It's Sparadise. It's a paradise. They bent you up like a pretzel. Oh man. When they lay you, lay on your stomach, right? And she lifts your leg up and then pulls it up and over the other leg and then she put her elbow on my lower back at the same time. I know that was a release on the spine. The lumbar has been rejuvenated. It was amazing. So I'm happy and I want it again and so yeah I'm gonna have to hit them up have those events and of course I host at Mario Poser for the brunch on Saturdays Sundays anyway so if you guys want to come out you are more than welcome I'm trying to be more mindful of announcing that because I just feel like people you just you should know already you know man that's yeah absolutely not they got a good catfish in there the fish is fire every time I go yeah and we I mean we stepped it up okay the fish and grits a little combo you know put a little lemon pepper seeds in it on it. That sound like a missile. Yeah. Do people still say that? I've never heard that. Okay cuz I'm from Virginia we we say things but when it's real good, like this a missile man. I'm like what? My gosh. Well, anyway. Yeah, there's all of that. In the meantime, I do want to give a shout out. I know we normally shout him out at the end, but Wesley, OK? Wesley. He's been holding it down. You know what I'm saying? He reached out, make sure, hey, you good, like making sure we on track. I appreciate you for that. He just celebrated his birthday as well.
0:25:34
And Wesley, he put it on today.
0:25:36
Wesley turned the swag up. First of all, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you.
0:25:44
Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday.
0:25:58
Happy birthday.
0:26:02
See, we had to give you the black folk happy birthday because you you part of the squad. Yeah, yeah. honorary, honorable mention.
0:26:13
Yes.
0:26:14
Appreciate you Wes.
0:26:15
Absolutely. So, um, yeah, I think that was all the things I need to cover today. I believe in that. Whoo. Okay. So in the meantime, in between time, we're gonna go ahead and get on up out of here thank you again to the business entertainment I have one question yes did you see it never mind cuz I probably shouldn't talk about it Wow
0:26:40
You didn't see Joe Biden fall down the stairs?
0:26:47
Get out of here!
0:26:49
Never mind, I'm sorry y'all.
0:26:53
Because he is an elder.
0:26:55
Very much. He's definitely at that age where they take away your driver's license.
0:26:59
I don't know how he still rode in the car. That's what it reminds me of my granddaddy when he was going blind and he still was trying to drive.
0:27:13
Good.
0:27:14
And even when he was trying to walk to the bus stop, he can't see, sir. Old men, they just don't.
0:27:19
They don't care.
0:27:20
They got to learn on their own. Old men, young men, my man, he's trying to paint the hallway ladder, the ladder like 15 feet in the air. And all I could think is, why didn't we just hire somebody to do this? Because my nerves are wrecked.
0:27:37
I'm telling you.
0:27:39
OK.
0:27:40
All right, so.
0:27:40
OK, y'all. Yeah. There's that. Is that all you got? That's it. I just wanted to know if y'all knew that. I just wanted to see how you doing. We see that. Yeah. Is y'all right? And that's the thing. They act like it didn't happen. Like we don't never get an update. We know it happened. How the knee feeling? Anybody fall, it's fall. It's something hurting. hurting when he came down the airplane stairs pain and nobody filled us in and I'm like so we just we just want this man to be invincible and he already on the brink nevermind we see we know okay all right get out of here okay thank you again to the business entertainment was for the sponsorship if anyone would like a mention or sponsorship you can reach me at ngt.onair at gmail.com.
