Genecia Alluora: In today's episode, I want to talk about how to heal your relationship with money. Now, a huge amount of work that comes with clearing money blocks has to do with first healing your money story. Money stories comes in all different shapes and sizes, but there are common themes that lead back to who we are and the beliefs that we have about money. Now, this is such a juicy topic. Let's unpack it now. The reality doesn't really matter. Now, over the years, I've talked to thousands of entrepreneurs about money becoming a soul rich woman. And the one thing that always amazes me is that how much money their parents had or didn't have just doesn't count when we get into the money mindset work. It's their feelings about money growing up that matter the most. When I ask whether people grew up rich, poor, or middle class, the belief is often different from reality. There are people who say, I thought we were poor, but we weren't. I found out my parents were millionaires, or we were poor, but I didn't know.

Genecia Alluora: We were so happy and carefree all the time. Now, if you look at your own childhood today, what feelings did you have about money? Did your mother hide purchases of new clothes or shoes from your father because she wasn't allowed to spend money? If so, you probably feel guilty spending money on yourself or even repeat that behavior by hiding expenses from your partner. Did your family go through feast and famine periods where you had luxurious treats one month and nothing the next? Maybe you are repeating the same habits. One week you buy champagne and next week you are going into debt for simple things like groceries and bills. Do you feel like you have to work hard for money like that only hard work pays off? Maybe you procrastinate. Then you just pull all nighters to justify making money. It's really common for this one to manifest as a feeling that earning money easily doing something you love is lazy and unworthy.

Genecia Alluora: Now, if you don't clear these money stories from your childhood, you'll continue the patterns into a new generation instead of creating your own legacy. The annoying thing is that these stories might not even be what your parents or your family believed themselves. What matters is what you took away from those experiences and the things you told yourself before. So then a question will be how do you deal with it? Now, clearing your money blocks is key to your success in soul rich woman. Having freedom, fabulous freedom, financial independence, and a happy family. You want to be clearing your money blocks. If you have any money stories from childhood that you have not cleared, you're living with a legacy of guilt that you don't need and that will be stopping the abundance that you are trying to manifest. The annoying thing is that these stories might be what exactly might not be even what your parents or family believed themselves.

Genecia Alluora: What matters is that what you took away from those experiences and the things that you told yourself. So how to shift your money mindset as a soul rich woman? The most important thing you can do is to embrace the power of forgiveness. It's a really easy four step process. Number one, forgive your parents. Number two, express gratitude for the lessons. Number three, embrace self forgiveness. Number four, send love to all involved. Now, I know it's going to be super difficult for some of you right now when I teach my soul rich woman in the community and I said, hey, you know what? One of the things if you're feeling a lot of pain and a love hurt around money or even your business right now, is to forgive even those who have hurt you.

Genecia Alluora: And they are like, but Genecia, they have hurt me. Why must I forgive them? I am right and she's wrong. Well, my dear, take the poison and hope the other person will die or heal yourself so that you can be set free. You decide. So let's go on to number one. Forgive. Forgive your parents. Forgive those people. Okay? So when you're working with your money stories from childhood, the first step is always to forgive your parents, your guardians, or whomever you grew up with who influenced you around your money. Could be your godmother, your godfather, could be even your siblings as well your older siblings. When you forgive them around or for the money stories that played out around you when you were a child, it frees you to create a new money story for yourself, which is really powerful. Number two express gratitude. Thank your parents for the lessons because this brings you into a space of gratitude which is powerfully, abundant state to be in. You don't have to actually thank them in person or face to face. You can just hold up a photo and thank them or energetically thank them as well.

Genecia Alluora: Although you can of course go meet them and thank them. Definitely feel a sense of gratitude in your heart. Number three, embrace self forgiveness. Apologize again. Do this in your mind. Forgive yourself. I love myself and I set myself free. This is my time, I am ready for the next step. Say it with me. I love myself and I set myself free. This is my time. I am ready for the next step. So apologize again and do this in your mind or in front of the mirror rather than out loud if you don't want to, I mean, that's fine. So just say sorry. Takes yourself into a self forgiveness for believing the money stories that you took on when you were a child. When you take responsibility for your own money story, you can deal with it and then move on in the other direction you choose, rather than being led by your unconscious mind or unconscious money story script. You can also see where you are deciding to move towards or towards believing in certain things about money. And you can forgive yourself for making those choices and creating the life you have had so far.

Genecia Alluora: Number four, send love to all involved. And finally, when you send love to those, if you are forgiving, you bring yourself into the highest vibration you can, which is incredibly abundant. By coming back to love, you align yourself with the most powerful force in the universe. I mean, who doesn't want that? Super simple. Follow the steps above and record what comes up for you as you move through the process. And I've said before, and I'll say it again, remember, our money work is never done. It's like a box of tissue paper. When you pull one out, another one just surfaces. So it's a never ending story. It may get easier over the years, but we got to keep working on it. Even for me right now, as I grew multiple businesses and grow myself to the next level, I am still working on myself even today. So don't be surprised if you're working on it again in six months time.
