Welcome, my dear friends, to another episode of Daily Tanya. Today, we will be delving into the Tanya, Chapter 25, a text filled with wisdom and practical life lessons.
Our beloved Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the author of the Tanya, teaches us that every Jew, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey, has the capacity to serve G-d with all their heart, soul, and might. It is not an abstract concept meant only for the spiritually elite, but an attainable goal for every Jew.
Rabbi Shneur Zalman introduces us to the notion of "Beinonim", the intermediate ones, who are neither completely righteous nor wicked. These individuals, he says, have the power to control their actions and speech, even if their thoughts and desires sometimes lean towards the negative. This is a profound message which teaches us that we ought not to judge ourselves based on our fleeting thoughts or momentary desires, but rather on our actions. We have the power to choose our actions, and this is what defines us.
This idea is highly relatable to our everyday life. We all face challenges and struggles that at times, seem to pull us away from our spiritual path. Instead of feeling disheartened, Rabbi Shneur Zalman teaches us to focus on our actions. We have the choice to act in accordance with G-d's will, no matter what challenges we face. This is a powerful and empowering message.
So, my friends, let's remember to focus on our actions, on our choices, and let that guide us in our spiritual journey. We all have the power to serve G-d with all our heart, soul, and might. Let's use that power wisely and make choices that bring us closer to G-d.
