Rated R Safety Show with Jay Allen

The signal’s hijacked and the static has teeth for this September 24, 2026 transmission. Broadcasting live from the pulse center of Orlando, Florida, Safety FM hacks the multiverse feed, bending timelines and frying the bureaucratic firewall. We’re warping across the grid from Radio Big to Safety FM, blowing right past the old guard while serving up a data spike you won’t get from the compliance curators. This episode grinds up the Black Iron Prison of blind process, scorches the Map with existential gasoline, and asks why we worship the tape on the floor when none of it keeps the chaos out anyway.

The high-entropy pulse is all about confronting the clickbait illusion of “organizational change.” Today’s core op: shredding the cult of empty system fixes and safety theater. If you’re tired of pretending that fresh tape and box-checking means your system’s safe, this is your field manual.

Track Breakdown & Segment Notes
The Multiverse Broadcast Mashup: The conversation focused on blending safety, news, and raw commentary as the multiverse gets tangled and the Map-makers lose control. The show crosswires pro broadcast ops with chaos to wreck the wall between listeners and the sterile media feed. Black Iron Prison beware.

The Illusion of Progress: One concept discussed was the obsession with operational “magic” like taping floors and staging “zones” as if bureaucracy could defeat entropy. A key theme that emerged was how organizations hallucinate a better future while dodging the real psychological and operational work, always chasing the next big savior while ignoring the human factor.

Safety Theater Exposed: The discussion explored the cultish trust in signals, like the idea that a marked boundary or “new system” means safety has arrived. Several points were raised, including a brutal comparison between the Map logic of traffic signs and the farce of corporate signal tape—a pure compliance theater move that ignores real engagement.

Feature Story News & Global Multiverse Feed
Diplomatic Walkout Drama: The United States and Israel stormed out of the UN after Iran’s president threw war crimes photos at the General Assembly feed.
The Media Ban Meltdown: The White House locks out CNN, Politico, and MSNBC, triggering pushback, lawsuits, and a doomed attempt at controlling the narrative signal.
Xi in the Crosshairs: China’s president touches down in Washington to trash-talk tariffs and rare earths as the AI arms race and Taiwan standoff take center stage.

Bizarre Transmissions & Oddities
Seattle’s Inconvenient Art: A defunct 7-Eleven becomes an “inconvenience store” art freak show where you buy tangled USB cords, Cheeto bags, and iPhones locked to U2.
Turkey’s Bean Tsunami: A city in Turkey sets a Guinness World Record by conjuring up 1,807 gallons of baked beans in a single mega-cook.
Kicking It for Millions: A Texas college kid biffs a kick, loses his boots, and then scores millions for charity barefoot on live national TV.
Tank Roll Stunt: An HBO reality stunt drops a tank into suburbia to settle a neighbor feud, cops arrive, and chaos gets a live audience.

It's time to make this dish delicious, 'cause this kid got ambitious. Queen ascending. It's so sweet. Chaos, I'll be me. I'm gonna let myself be free. I'm gonna be the only one. So fly your own flag. Let yourself glitter in this galaxy. It's so sweet. Chaos, I'll be me. Candy apple dream. Bring out your magic. Gonna be dramatic. Who cares what other people see? The following program is rated MALSV. It contains strong language, sexual situations, and violence. It is intended only for mature audiences. Finally, show with the balls to call it like it is. Rated R Safety Show on Safety FM. Countdown to audio torture. The Rated R Safety Show starts in 3, 2, 1. Ah, let the eardrum pain begin. Forget the corporate bullshit. This is the Rated R Safety Show. With your host, Dr., uh, it doesn't matter who the host is. Oh, you are so correct that it's not even funny. It does not matter who the host is. What has always mattered is who the listeners are. Anyways, today is Thursday, September the 24th of 2026, and we are broadcasting from the Safety FM studios In Orlando, Florida, and coming across the multiverse known as Safety FM. And then we are hanging out with our friends and colleagues over there. You're being infiltrated. Radio Big. Yes, some infiltration in Radio Big is kind of the way that it goes as we talk about everything that is going on inside of the worlds of the multiverse. That's just how it happens. So there you go. Anyways, how's the last 24 hours or so been for you? Hopefully they've been a grandioso time as you have been doing your thing. We have been over here doing our thing, but I am so glad that we are here together once again to be able to discuss the stuff that's going on inside of the multiverse. No, seriously, I don't say that, uh, as a joke. I say that as serious stuff. The reason behind it is because we're hanging out talking about some of the stuff that's going on Inside of here. If we weren't talking about that, we'd probably be talking about something else, but that's perfectly fine. So don't worry about any of, uh, that stuff. Oh, so with that being said, let's talk about what we do here. Our show consists of safety in the news, news and safety. We bring some professional broadcasters in, they talk about what the hell is going on inside of the world of the multiverse, and then we kind of get grooving from there. No, seriously. That's not a joke. That is serious business. The reason that we do it in that format is because we always tell people, we want you to have topical information to discuss with people and then move forward. So if you're cool with that, I'm definitely cool with it. And then we can move forward and go on from there. Seriously. So what do you think? If you're good with it, you can interact with the show. Callinradio.com. That's callinradio.com. That will get everything grooving and moving for you. No doubt about that. So go there. It's going to give you some options, audio, video, and text messaging. And then we kind of go from there. That's it. It's a very simple process and doing what we do around here. So there you go. Okay. So with that being said, I have my people from Feature Story News waiting here. wanting to talk to you, telling you what exactly is going on inside of the world of the news cycle. So if you're good with all of that, we are definitely good with it too. So let's go ahead and hit those news stories right now. Here is the news on the Radio Hour Safety Show. From Feature Story News in New Delhi, I'm Ishaan Garg. The United States and Israel walked out of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday during a defiant speech by Iranian President Masoud Pesezhnia, who accused Washington of hypocrisy and held up photographs of Iranian school children killed in the war. The walkout came just a day after the US President Donald Trump told the Assembly that a deal with Tehran is possible but warned the alternative is to destroy the country. Despite the public confrontation, indirect talks between the 2 sides continued on the sidelines of the gathering, with Qatari mediators shuttling between American and Iranian officials. Mitch McCann reports from New York. It was very defiant— good evening— from the Iranian president, but you would probably anticipate that after Donald Trump threatened to annihilate his country yesterday. Mazoud talked about what Iran sees as the hypocrisy of the US by claiming that Iran is a threat. And the example he used was what you mentioned in the introduction, this alleged US bombing of a school in Iran in February, which killed more than 120 girls. He held up pictures of the victims and he said they were innocent and they committed no crimes. Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Washington on Wednesday for the first Chinese state visit to the US in more than a decade. The 3-day summit is expected to address tensions over tariffs, rare earth minerals, and artificial intelligence, with a trade truce between the 2 countries due to expire in November. One of the most sensitive issues is Taiwan, with both sides pointing to a 1982 communiqué that each interprets differently. Nick Harper reports from Washington. The US will be pointing out that held within that document is the idea that there is this continued commitment from China to a peaceful solution, and the US doesn't feel that that is the current situation. So that document, open to interpretation, both sides interpreting it in different ways. The fear is, though, that Donald Trump sometimes changes longstanding foreign policy with a single remark or a single post on social media. European leaders are breathing a little easier after the US, Denmark, and Greenland agreed to update a security deal giving Washington greater military access over the island. US President Donald Trump has called it a fantastic deal, but analysts are skeptical about how much is going to change to an agreement that's been in place for 75 years. William Denslow reports from Brussels. Denmark's foreign minister says that the signing of this deal closes a destructive chapter. One that threatened the NATO military alliance as well as had the potential of triggering a trade war between European nations and the US. As President Trump for years has threatened to take control of this semi-autonomous Danish territory of Greenland unless issues regarding collective security were addressed. Uh, to thwart what he says is the growing threat posed by Russia and China in the region. Denmark's prime minister says it's good for all parties. And the main news again. The United States and Israel walked out of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday during a defiant speech by Iranian President Masoud Pashinyan. Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Washington on Wednesday for the first Chinese state visit to the US in more than a decade. European leaders are breathing a little easier after the U.S., Denmark, and Greenland agreed to update a security deal giving Washington greater military access over the island. With FSN Spotlight, I'm Simon Marks, looking in more detail today at President Trump's media ban. CNN, Politico, and left-leaning MSNBC are all prevented from entering White House grounds after the president accused them of spreading fake news and propaganda about his administration. Although in court filings, he appears to be suggesting that what he really dislikes is their dogged determination determination to uncover inconvenient facts about his administration. Adam Rose is the Deputy Director for Advocacy at the Freedom of the Press Foundation. I think that it is extremely concerning, especially in this country which has tried to hold itself up as some sort of bastion of press freedom, but obviously very much not the case. What this president is doing is essentially saying that if he doesn't like the confrontational nature of the press, he won't allow them anywhere near. Not only does that seem to indicate weakness, it's also something that's blatantly unconstitutional in this country. We've lived under a Constitution with a First Amendment guaranteeing press rights for 250 years. And ultimately, you know, this is a situation where the president seems to be hiding from the questions that the journalists want to pose to challenge certain issues in the government. The president's move led the network TV pool operated jointly by ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and Fox News to down tools. That's left the White House scrambling and encouraging smaller networks to fill the breach. Several of them declined. With FSN Spotlight, I'm Simon Marks. Okay, what do they say? Risky business is not my business, or something along those lines. Um, I think that's how that song goes, or something like that. Anyways, so here we go, 15 minutes past the top of the hour as you and I are hanging out on this Lovely, lovely, lovely Thursday, or something like some jackasses like to say, uh, Friday Jr., which makes absolutely no sense, but we'll leave it, uh, for a different day to talk about that, that is for sure. Okay, so let's talk about some major news stories as we're gonna get into, uh, some of this mess. By the way, before I forget, this is hour number 1 of 3. Only the first hour is on video. Only the first hour is a simulcast. Hour 2 and 3 are exclusive to radiobig.fm. Hour 1 is on safetyfm.com and radiobig.fm. That's not counting where you can find us on Live 365, iHeartRadio, uh, Odyssey, and so on. Uh, and that's not even talking about the podcast scenario in the video. And if you go into, uh, safetyfm.com and go to the Listen Live section. So a lot of stuff there as we are talking. So are you ready for this? Sit down for a moment. Nike co-founder Phil Knight and his wife Penny are giving the University of Oregon $1 billion. Yeah, that's with a B. Which, uh, the school says is the largest known donation to public flagship university. The money will establish the Knight College of Engineering, allowing Oregon to expand its existing engineering program and develop new undergraduate and graduate offerings. The gift pushes the Knight family total contribution to Oregon above $2 billion. University president called the donation a major vote of confidence as the school faces declining enrollment and financial pressures, including proposed budget cuts. The new engineering college is expected to take about a decade To fully develop and, uh, could help address Oregon's shortage of engineers while expanding the university's presence in a field dominated in the state of Oregon State. In the state by Oregon State. Unlike many other large university donations which have gone to private institutions, Knight's $1 billion gift is going to a public university. So there you go. There you go. What do you think? Interesting stuff, right? $1 billion. I mean, listen, any donation is great, but that's not a chunk of change to laugh at. $1 billion. Imagine the pressure that's on you now in regards to being able to perform. Duh. That's a lot of belief that somebody has in a school there. Duh. No doubt about that one. Anyways, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned the United Nations that that artificial intelligence could soon play a direct role in deciding battlefield outcomes, saying there is a real possibility that could, uh, happen as early as next year. He argued that the prospect makes, um, ending a war even more urgent. The UN has, uh, separately warned that autonomous weapons and AI-driven targeting are advancing faster than international rules governing them. Zelensky also argued or also urge, better saying, countries to keep pressure on Russia economically and said that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not appear interested in ending fighting. His comments came as the UN said that attacks in Ukraine are intensifying, civilian casualties are mounting, and diplomatic efforts need to be renewed. So a lot of stuff going on right there. Um, as we are talking, uh, do we talk about this one? Yeah, let's talk about this one. NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip, 79, has been diagnosed with frontal temporal degener— degeneration and is stepping away from public life, according to the family. They also said that he's dealing with, uh, possible chronic traumatic, uh, issues, which, uh, they believe may be connected to the head injuries that he suffered during a racing career. Darrell's family said that, uh, his symptoms are currently mild and that he remains happy and otherwise healthy, spending time with his wife, daughters, and 3 grandchildren. The 3-time Cup Series champion won 84 races, including the 1989 Daytona 500, and spent 18 years as Fox Sports' lead analyst for NASCAR. Known as Jaws, For his outspoken personality and on-track rivalries, Darrell, uh, became one of the most recognized voices in NASCAR broadcasting history, famous for his signature, uh, what is it? This is his famous line. Let's hear it real quick. And guys, it's showtime! Boogity boogity boogity! Let's go racing today, boys! Okay, so there you go. Boogity boogity boogity! Let's go racing today, He was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame back in 2012. So there you go. So we'll not be hearing him on the air is what it sounds like going forward. And some other news, staying in the sports arena for a moment, uh, Dee Brock, the founding director of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, died yesterday at the age of 96. Brock helped transform the team cheerleading program into an iconic squad that it is today, and she played a notable role and the integration of the group back in 1965 at a time when Dallas was still largely segregated. Brock reportedly sketched the original DCC uniform— that's Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders— on legal pad, and the design eventually became so recognizable that the uniform was added to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in 2018. She also helped establish El Centro College, Dallas First Community College, and held a PhD in literature. The Cowboys cheerleaders confirmed her death, calling her death the founding director and saying that they would forever honor her legacy. Brock had been celebrated with a Lifetime Achievement Award in June, shortly before her 96th birthday. She said that she was proud to have gotten the organization started and encouraged the cheerleaders to keep on loving the Cowboys and keep on cheering all you can. So some times there for sure as we are talking. Also in some other news, the U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly has temporarily blocked President Trump's ban on CNN, MSNBC, and Politico from the White House, ordering the administration to immediately restore their press credentials. The temporary restraining order is in effect for 14 days while the legal fight continues. Kelly said that the outlets were literally— were likely to succeed in arguing their credentials were revoked without a constitutional adequate due process. He also said the administration's national security justification lacked factual support in current record. The 3 outlets sued after the reporters were denied entry and their, their passes were deactivated or confiscated. They argued that the ban violated their First Amendment right, Fifth Amendment due process protection, and the administration has argued the White House press access is a privilege And defended the restrictions on national security grounds. So there you go. Doesn't sound like that one's going to be resolved anytime soon. What do you think here? I mean, it sounds like a cluster. Let's not lie on what it sounds like. Doesn't necessarily mean that it's the right or wrong thing, but I'm just saying, hey, doesn't sound like it's getting repaired anytime soon. That is for sure as we are talking. So let's continue talking about some other information because that's just kind of what we do around here. Uh, do we want to go into, uh, some weird stuff? I mean, I guess we can do some weird stuff. Let's do some odd news stories because why would we not do this? Um, do I care about this? I don't think I care about this one. So, uh, take a listen to this. A former 7-Eleven in Seattle has been transformed into an inconvenience store, an interactive art exhibit featuring bizarre versions of everyday products about 70 artists created items including pre-tangled USB cords, uh, bags made of Cheetos and Lay's packages, beeswax egg candles, and, uh, landline iPhones that only play, uh, U2's Vertigo. The store has, uh, 14 departments and artworks ranging from $1 to $10,000 in designs to make buying art feel less intimidating. So there you go. So it only plays Vertigo. That's interesting. I don't know, I, I don't think there's one song that I could listen to all the time and be okay with it. And I'm not picking on Vertigo by U2 because hello, hello, let's go to a place called Vertigo. But we'll leave that for something else. Take a listen to this. The city in Turkey, um, has set a Guinness World Record, uh, title by, uh, cooking 1,807 gallons of baked beans, roughly the equivalent of 15,000 cans. Uh, the record-setting dish featured, uh, Celtic Selker, a local specialty that was prepared and helped from farmers, chefs, engineers, food safety experts, and volunteers. The enormous serving surpassed the previous record of 1,479 gallons. So there you go. I got a question. Is it just like one giant pot that is being made in? 'Cause that would probably be something to look at, that is for sure. Anyways, a Massachusetts restaurant owner is facing charges after police say that he chased down 2 teenagers Who left the restaurant without paying a $92.40 bill. Authorities alleged the 62-year-old caught the teens at a convenience store, grabbed a girl's phone, elbowed her, and then punched an 18-year-old man. Police say that the owner later pointed a gun towards the larger group that gathered. While he remains— as he acted in self-defense, his firearm and carrying permit were seized. The teens are also facing criminal complaint for allegedly defrauding a restaurant. So they skipped a $92 bill and accidentally ordered a $92,000 drama special is what it sounds like. I mean, here's the thing, that self-defense thing kind of gets in that weird spot because there is self-defense, and then the moment that you're self-defending, and let's say the person that is, uh, supposedly coming after you that you're self-defending from, the moment that they turn away and they are no longer fighting, that is supposed to be that you are no longer defending yourself. And I did throw up some air quotes if you're not watching the video, which I'm perfectly fine with. But, uh, and I'm talking about the not watching the video part because that's where it kind of changes. Because now there's not an intimidation factor. You should— if you ever get bored, talk to a lawyer about this and you will hear exactly how it works. It is the most, um, interesting thing on how things can so changely quick, or how quickly they can change is probably what I should say, um, in regards of how that actually works from where you go from self-defense to being the aggressor on how that can change in the eyes of the law. But believe me, I am no lawyer, so don't listen to the garbage that I have to say. We at Safety FM are not responsible for what this idiot behind the microphone is saying. He is trying to be entertaining. Rated R safety show. Because we're talking about weird and going all over the place, University of Texas freshman Connor Merrill, 18, turned a college football halftime-style kicking contest Into a $2.2 million charitable windfall after missing a 33-year-old— or 33-yard field goal on ESPN College GameDay. He got a second chance and nailed it barefoot after deciding his cowboy boots weren't helping. That kick earned him $1.2 million, and he had already promised to give half to the education nonprofit Building Tomorrow. Then Tito's raised the stake, pledging another $1 million for charity. If, uh, Connor could, uh, make the 35-year— 35-yard kick with 100,000 fans watching, he drilled that one in first on the first try. His own winnings will largely go towards the tuition and investment and maybe summer trip mixed in. Most freshmen worried about passing chemistry, this guy's out there raising millions of dollars with his foot. So there you go. Congratulations there in regards to the stuff that is going on, no doubt about that. Okay, police were called in Arvado, Colorado neighborhood after a military tank rolled through the streets as part of HBO's reality show stunt. Resident Mark Diaz rode on top of the tank while shooting or shouting through a megaphone with a sign reading, make me move it. The tank was reportedly arranged by producers of HBO's Neighbors, which follows a feud between Diaz and neighbors Chris Hunnell and their homeowners association. The stunt got more attention than when they came outside with a gun. No injuries No injuries or arrests were reported, but police did make an appearance. Residents disagreed over how much warning they received. Diaz said that everyone on the cul-de-sac knew about the tank was coming, which some neighbors said they had no idea. Police are checking whether proper media releases were obtained, and officials said that it could, could find no evidence that producers had a city permit to film there. So there Yeah. What do you think? I mean, it's interesting. Could you imagine that, especially if you live in an HOA neighborhood, that all of a sudden, boom, they have a tank rolling over in that area and you're kind of like, I don't know what the hell's going on? That could be a possibility. Don't get me wrong. Okay. So take a listen to this because, um, I think we should probably talk about it, but what an interesting time. McDonald's is planning an 8.5 billion global overhaul through 2036, with money going to franchisees for restaurant renovations, the new technology, and faster, more streamlined kitchens. The company also wants to improve food and service, focus on value deals— not meals, but value deals— and expand its chicken and beverage offering. McDonald's is also testing options such as grilled chicken wraps for customers looking for smaller, higher-protein meals. The makeover comes as US sales growth has slowed and competition has intensified. Investors weren't exactly loving the news, though. McDonald's stock dropped more than 5% yesterday. So here are things that McDonald's should do as part of the makeover. Bring back the PlayPlace. Adults need somewhere to go after discovering ice cream machine is broken. Create a drive-through express lane for people who only want to drink and aren't ordering for the 14 members of their extended family. Give customers a countdown clock showing exactly how long until their order is ready, and suddenly waiting 11 minutes feels like a game show. Bring back McDonald's characters Grimace, Hamburglar, and the Mayor McCheese deserve a comeback tour. And add a cheat day menu where everything comes with extra cheese and absolutely no nutritional information. And last but not least, make the drive-through speaker understand humans. Can I get the— can I get a number 3? Should not result in, would you like a Happy Meal deal? Yeah, maybe that's the thing. I don't know. And listen, I'm not going to tell you that I am a connoisseur of fast food restaurants, but if we're talking about technology and technology alone, the best, and I am saying the best that I have seen, Is the AI system that Wendy's has. If you've been to a Wendy's old-fashioned restaurant recently, most of them have a new board for the drive-through where you do everything that you're talking and it can understand you almost perfect. I will tell you, I might have been there over the last 5, 6 years, maybe 10 times. And I think that they actually put that technology piece in there over the last year and a half or so. And I am amazed that you can attempt to confuse that thing and it doesn't get confused. I had one time where a lady jumped in via the order because she said the microphone wasn't working properly and to pull forward. But outside of that, that's only been the thing that I've seen where things have gone wrong. So there you go, maybe something to think about. Anyways, 32 minutes past the top of the hour. Why don't we go ahead and do this thing that we normally do around this time that we call our main story? Here is our main story on the Rated R Safety Show. So I have a question for you, and I would love to have a serious answer if possible. And keep in mind that the lines are open at Call-In Radio, and when I say lines, We have an audio line, we have a video line, and we have a texting line. So you have the option. So if you want to put anything in there, you're more than welcome on doing that. But I want you to think about this. I— this can apply to so many things, but you are aware that organizations tend to move forward and look around and want to change things and, uh, make the world be a better place. And I get it, don't get me wrong. But the problem that we run into is that we kind of have multiple masters that we're trying to serve. And when I say that, I mean that in the best way possible. I mean, hey, listen, the company is trying to produce revenue. They're putting a product more than likely, or a service out into the world. And based on that product or service, this is how they try to build their business. It's kind of common stuff that happens, but sometimes we have these ideas of what we're going to do and not truly understanding what exactly is supposed to take place. And that's kind of the weird spot. But why is it that all organizations at some point have that moment in time that they are under the impression that they are going to do the most magical thing ever? It is like, um, a fairy godmother has come down to give you the next grandioso thing. And that's where problems occur most of the time. And let me explain. We think that we have the next item, the next service that is going to change the world. And believe me, I love the idea of that happening, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's true. True. And here is where the issue comes, comes about. Sometimes we have these new ideas that we want to implement into our organization. I'm going to go into the safety side here. And all of a sudden, we are under the impression that all of a sudden things will go perfect. I want you to think about this for a moment. If you're at a manufacturing plant, if you're at a warehouse, think about this for a moment. You more than likely, if you're on those two particular floors, you have a staging area. Most staging areas are tape that is on the floor, and you are saying this is the the area that we're staging for X, Y, and. Now, I want you to think about this real quick, and I know that one of our previous shows had a tape sponsor on the floor, and believe me, I'm not throwing shade at a tape sponsor, but I'm going to bring this up. We have this assumption that tape that we put on the floor is magical and that all of a sudden, boom, things are going to change. Because you have taped the floor. And all of a sudden, because you know, because all of a sudden it's been brought up into your organization, and I point jokingly as I say this, that all of a sudden this is the magical area because now this staging area has been striped down on the floor. And now the world is scheduled to change because I decided to put this piece of tape there. I want you to think about this. There are some manufacturers and logistic companies that the moment that that area is taped off, they are saying that, quote unquote, this is what the truck, the trailer per se, looks like, and this is how it needs to be staged. So I want you to think about how silly that sounds just for a moment in time. You're thinking about that and going, you know how that's— that sounds kind of like some nonsense. We all know that's not a trailer. We have staged this and think that it's the most magical thing all of a sudden because somebody came up with this idea. So then you stage it, you scan it in, and all of a sudden this is where everything's at. But you are aware all of a sudden that that tape didn't really change anything for you. All it has done is created a perimeter That we believe that this is the correct area that we're placing product that we're staging to go out or move to the next thing. It's not that anything's changed. We just had a striped-off section and people will go, well, you're kind of using something a little bit silly here in regards of how this works. I get it. I agree with you. Now, I want you to think about how silly this tape is for a moment. Can I bring something else up for just a moment? Do you drive? If you do, I'm— that's great. I'm glad for you. But have you ever come up while you're driving to a 4-way stop? Now, a 4-way stop is a stop sign, most of the times lying on the ground. Saying, hey, that you need to stop. It does not say what order the people are supposed to go in if all 4 show up at the same time. There is some training that you go through, and you have this response on how you're supposed to react when you get there. But isn't it funny that the ground's marked? There is no barrier to entry. There is a sign, but there is an assumption there That we have done as the general public, that we claim that because we have a driver's license, or at least most of us do, and we're driving, that we have come to this recognition that this sign and this mark on the ground is going to make me stop, even though there is no barrier to do so. But we have decided that, uh, as being part of society, this is some idea that we've come to that we're going to stop. And there is a general belief that this is accurate, that this is what you're going to do. If not, people would just blow through the— through it, or they wouldn't come to a stop. But interestingly, on how we tape off floors, And we talk about how this is supposed to work, that magic is looked at as different. Hmm. Isn't that interesting on how our brain thinks of things? Why is one considered magical and you're willing to stop for, and the other one we start questioning? So maybe, maybe that's the thing to think about today. If you're going through your organization. And there's some weird rules. Maybe think about that one for a moment and go, how does this work? And maybe bring up the question of what can we question that's inside of our organization? Oops. What did he just say? We at Safety FM don't always agree with the viewpoints of our hosts and guests. Now back to real safety talk on Safety FM. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the home of real safety talk. You're listening to Safety FM. We'll be right back. I know several people who have super close families and they get My wife's family is mostly like that. Sadly, the last few years they let politics break some members of the family apart. But I also know several people who have mostly broken ties with their family. It makes me sad to think about that, but I also understand that their situation is different than my situation.
