Full show transcript:

It now has a name, Chantel. What's that? They call it dropped head syndrome. Oh, no. It is a rare condition that doctors say is related to looking down at your phone screen for too long.

Really? Yeah. It is it is rare, but, it's it's actually got a guy who, is 25 years old in Japan who cannot lift his head up on his own No way. Because his his head has been dropped down on his phone so much that, he can't do it. Now this is something they typically see in older people, but prolonged phone use can cause it, in people of any age.

We gotta quit looking down at our phones. Gotta look up. Look up. Hey. It's Wednesday, May 21.

Join us on June 2 as we honor and restore East Idaho cemeteries after Memorial Day. We are gonna be in Black Foot, but there are lots of different places that you can be. So, check out our app and, and, join us. Rest in peace, Norm. George Wendt.

Yeah. George Wendt. It's a sad time. I worked a sixteen hour day yesterday. At least sixteen hours.

What a day. What a day. What a champ. Look at you. Look at me.

Yeah. The Wienermobile racing is coming to the Indy five hundred. Put your bets in. I'm going for the Seattle weenie. I can't remember the name of the one I'm rooting for.

Oh, dog. Seattle dog. Yeah. Yeah. You wanted the the hummus dog or whatever it was.

No. No. Our daughter may or may not have mops. We can't be sure, but I'm I'm leaning toward not. I'm leaning toward she's sort of Spot mopped.

Spot mopped. Yeah. Mhmm. Our son's car project was not just a bunch of hoses as advertised. Yeah.

It's just a bunch of hoses you gotta hook up. It'll be easy. Easy. It'll take a half hour. Four hours later, it's halfway done.

Josh does too much snuggling. What? Too much. You do It's so nice. Too much cuddling, bro.

It's so nice. Too much. There's there's no such thing. Cottage cheese, all the things. What we gotta put cottage cheese in this and that.

Like, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, slap some cottage cheese on it. Cheese. Dip it in cottage cheese. Cottage cheese. Seven layer dip?

No way. Cottage layer dip? Because it's got cottage cheese. Survivor and Mission Impossible cannot be stopped. Do they need to?

I don't know. I that's my question. Like, are they that wildly popular that they gotta keep going? I guess. Okay.

I mean, I don't know. I've liked either one of them. Me neither. Get your dancing fix at Roots and Boots in Rexburg. Roots And Boots and Roots and Boots and Roots and Boots and Rexburg.

That one's for free. Now you're gonna have to pay me. The NFL has agreed to let athletes compete in flag football at the twenty twenty eight Summer Games in LA. Controversial in my mind. Josh is mad.

I'm not mad. I I it's just controversial. It's I have a back and forth about it. And an update on the Big Bear Valley Eagles. So far still in the nest.

Dope. As of this morning. As of current time. Yeah. We are Josh and Chantel.

This is wake up classy 97, the podcast. Hope you enjoy today's show. Enjoy. Good morning, Chantel. Oh, hey.

Oh, hi. Hello. Hello. Hello. What's going on?

Oh, nothing? What's going on with you? I'm just, you know, trying to get the day rolling, just, getting started, just getting things, happening on this side of the room. What's happening on that side? Same thing.

Same same thing. Yeah. Gotta get things moving and shaking and Uh-huh. Working on things on this side of the room. Okay.

Alright. That's sounds good. Care of you, I'll take care of me. It's kinda how it goes. It's kinda how it goes.

Yeah. Hey. Coming up, after Memorial Day, which is this weekend. Yes. And we've got the long weekend, which I'm looking forward to.

A long weekend. But after, we have something very cool going on, and, and I just wanted to talk about it a little bit. So a lot of people like to visit the cemeteries, and they like to leave flowers and things, on the gravestones and headstones and things of Yes. Of family and loved ones. Right?

Yes. But what happens to all that stuff that people leave? My assumption, and I'm probably wrong in my assumption, is that the grave caretaker Mhmm. Will dispose of it. I think that's, I think that's pretty correct.

What I think is interesting is that this year, we've decided that we should probably help out with that process. K. And so we've teamed up with, Teton Honda. And you and I on, Monday, June, we are going to be at the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot starting at 8AM, and we are doing a community wide cemetery cleanup. And and as I said, you and I are going to be in Blackfoot, but, the entire Riverbend Media group of of, stations Constituents?

Yeah. All of us are going to be at different cemeteries throughout East Idaho. So if the Blackfoot One doesn't work for you and you wanna help out, you can. You're welcome to. And you can also find, a location near you that you can go and you can help and be a part of this process as well.

Now because these these places, these, places where memories rest, need a little bit of attention, and they need some restoration at the end of a busy time like Memorial Day. Okay. If I choose to go to a cemetery, a different cemetery than the one that you and I are at Yeah. Is it the same time at each cemetery? It is not.

Oh. Some of them, there's, like, one or two of them that start at 7AM. Ours starts at eight, and I think there's one that starts at ten. Where can I find that information, John? It's in the app.

It's in the classy 97 app right now. I'm glad you asked. Honor and restore is the link. And, and I think it's gonna be a real special thing, helping, return, those those places of of, rest to, a state of beauty. And and, I I think it's really nice.

So It's nice. Anyway, if you'd like to get involved with us and Teton Honda, we are going to be at the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot on the second starting at 8AM. And you can come and you can help us out, and we're gonna be there for probably a couple hours, cleaning up the cemetery, which I think is, is a wonderful thing. So Yeah. Come and be a part of it.

It'll be really interesting. And, and, we've never done anything like this before, so I'm gonna be learning a lot, I'm sure, because I don't know the whole process. So Is there somebody there that's going to be helping us? That per that particular person you mentioned that is usually responsible for it, who are gonna go, hey. We're here to help.

Put us to work. Yep. We'll have gloves. We'll have maybe it'll be sunny. We'll have sunscreen.

I hope it'll be sunny. Maybe it'll be rainy. We'll have rain gear. No. It's gonna be sunny.

It's gonna be sunny. Manifest. It's gonna be sunny, and we'll have sunscreen Awards. And and work gloves. And we'll be out there, doing what we can to help out.

If you want more info, tap the link in the Classy 97 app, and come and join us along with Teton Honda as we honor and restore. Come on. If you haven't heard sad news yesterday when George went died. Norm Norm. From Cheers.

Yeah. I did hear about that. Yeah. You didn't hear about it until late Yeah. Yesterday evening.

I heard about it when you told me. I know sad. Because you said, Norm died. And I said, Norm who? Because we know several norms.

Yeah. But the norm Yeah. Norm. I I know now. Passed away.

He was 76. He the cause of death is unknown. Well, somebody probably knows, but they're not releasing it. But his family says he died peacefully in his sleep at his home, which is probably the best way to go, I'd imagine. He played Norm on 275 episodes of Cheers.

He was on the show for eleven eleven seasons, eighty two to '93. He earned six consecutive Emmy nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series, which is pretty, pretty, incredible. It is incredible. Beyond Cheers. Oh, what up?

What was I was just gonna say Beyond Cheers. Yeah. He was also known as Da Bears. Okay. The SNL sketch Da Bears.

That's funny. He was in, Fletch. He was in Gung Ho. Fletch, time out. Yeah.

Rewind. Yeah. He was in Fletch. Was he in Fletch? I don't know.

But he was also in Gung Ho. As you mentioned, SNL. He was also a voice in the Simpsons. In 2023, he competed on the masked singer as the moose. In 2023?

Yes. Oh, so he was still Yeah. Dancing through life. That's right. Yeah.

He No army. He came from Second City. Did he really? Yeah. He did.

Yep. He was a Chicago native. In 1975, he became an alum of Second City. That is where he met his wife, Bernadette Birkett, who voiced Norm's unseen wife, Vera, on Tuesday. Way.

Yeah. Yep. Oh, that's adorable. Yeah. So I didn't know that was his actual wife.

Oh, that's sweet. Yep. I also didn't know that he came from Second City. Yeah. Oh.

The things you learn about somebody. We saw Second City. We did in Toronto, not the Chicago One, but in in Toronto. Yep. Oh, poor Norm.

Also, here's another fun fact about George Wendt. Uh-huh. He is Jason Sudeikis's uncle. Is that right? Yeah.

George and Jason's mother are brother and sister. Wait. George and Jason's yeah. George and Jason's mother are brother and sister. Interesting.

Isn't that interesting? Yeah. Comedy in the family. How about that? Well, rest in peace.

George Wendt. Some good news to get you going. This story is kinda fun. There is a guy named Paul Jenkins. He's a retired Canadian social worker.

He is on kind of a really special mission right now. He is traveling across Canada with two folding chairs and a little wooden table and a sign. He stops, just different places. He sets up his table and his chairs, and he puts out a sign that says, you are not alone. I will listen.

Aw. So visitors can talk to Paul about anything for any reason without paying a dime. And, again, he is a retired social worker. Uh-huh. He gives no judgment.

He says, I'm there as a fellow human to make connections. I just create a safe space for them, a little bit like a stranger on an airplane that you're never going to see again. Oh, that's kinda nice. Right? What if Paul says, I will listen.

And then you sit down to talk, and every time you try to talk, he just interrupts. He's like, no. Listen. Now let me talk about myself. Let me tell you more.

Yeah. I don't think that's what he's doing. He says he has observed that once people start chatting, they talk about anything and everything. He's spoken with people at different points in their life's journeys. Some are students.

Some are recovering from addiction. Many find themselves at a crossroads and just need somebody to talk out what's going on. Yeah. Paul promises to keep everything confidential. He says you don't have to worry.

You're not gonna see me on the street the next day. And after he folds up his table and chairs, he's traveling to the next city to give more people the chance to get stuff off their chest. It's just Paul. Oh, Paul. Chairs, a table, and a sign that says you are not alone.

I will listen. Paulie. That's pretty nice. Paul Jenkinson in Canada. You're doing good work.

You are doing nice work. Yep. Very cool. Keep listening, buddy. Yeah.

He will. His sign says so. I'm a until he interrupts, and he's like, I've heard enough. Yeah. Yeah.

Let me tell you about myself. Right. That's good news to get you going. You had a long day yesterday. Bro.

Started out early doing the show, and you went to your job number two. Yep. And job number two, you were at until well after 10:00 last night. Yeah. I was.

Yeah? It was a very long day. You said about fifteen hours? Fifteen hour long day of work. Long day for you.

Long day. And it's more than that. I'm doing quick math. It's longer than that. Is it?

Yeah. I started here at six. Because five to five is twelve. Six to six is twelve. If you can get home until ten, that's another four hours.

That's sixteen hours at least. Sixteen hour a day. That's a long day. Bro, tell me about it. Tell me about it.

Well, so it's long because it was spent all at work. Yeah. I know. Yeah. I left when it was dark.

I left my house when it was dark. I got home when it was dark. I don't know what the sunshine looked like yesterday. Was there sunshine? I have There was, some rain and hail and big thunderstorm.

Said now, my office at my other job Yeah. There is windows. Sure. But I never saw any hail. Oh, big thunder.

You said there was big thunder too. Yeah. Right around, like, lunchtime. There was one big thunder, end of thunder. One big thunder.

Yeah. It was, like, rolling for a while. No. Yeah. I never heard that.

Yeah. It was doing it for a I mean, it it was consistent. And I I've went outside and stood and just watched and listened to it for a while. Yeah. I like thunderstorms the most when I'm at home, though.

Uh-huh. And you can cuddle up in your blanket Sure. And listen That checks out. Watch. It does check out.

Now what was I what were you doing when I was working all day? Oh, napping? Yeah. I thought that Not even kind of. No.

I get I get a text from Emery that says, what's for dinner? I know. And I go, bro, you knew I was gonna be gone all day. Right. This is a you're on your own kinda situation.

Yeah. I don't think she was super stoked about, because after you after she sent that text, I was busy. I was very wrapped up in a project, and, that took hours and is still not done. And, anyway, she came outside after she had texted you and said, hey. What's for dinner?

And I said I said, you know, I'm sorry. I'm elbows deep in this project right now. We just bought food. Can you find something to to make that you'll be happy with? And she did.

She made chicken nuggets. She was all good. So we have food. Yeah. And they know how to cook.

Right. Figure it out. And Beck and I were were working on this project, and we were very, very involved. So it there was no stopping point. Daylight was burning.

Like, we had not a lot of time. And, anyway, so she made chicken nuggets. She was fine. She wasn't But I felt bad because it seemed like she wanted something more like an official dinner. Right.

And I was not able to make that happen last night. Well, I I wondered what you were doing because you weren't responding to texts that I had sent, and you weren't responding. I had rubber gloves on. Yeah. I know that now.

But for a minute, I was like, is dad napping? If dad is napping and I'm working a sixteen hour day, I'm gonna be so mad. I should have napped. No. I was really taking care of stuff.

No. You've There was a frost warning, so I had to cover up all the plants and bring plants in. I know. I got home. House cleaning to do.

Did you notice the bins weren't in the living room anymore? No. But they're not. And then I had one that I was in the middle of putting away when you got home, and you said, why is that filthy bin on the counter? And I had put it there.

Yeah. That's why. Bin was is so dirty. Ew. Have you looked at it?

It's just dust. No. And there's there was some webs on the back of it. I'm like, why you put that filthy thing on my counter? That's exactly what you said.

It is exactly what off the counter. And now it's not empty because it it's not in my sight anymore. No. I appreciate what you did, and I'm sorry that I assumed that you might have been napping. Yeah.

I felt bad when I rolled up up at home, and the plants were covered, and the garbage had been rolled out. Oh, yeah. I did that too. Caught up on all of the text of what you had been doing, and I was like, oh, I'm such a jerk. I am sorry, Joshua.

Well, I don't know why you thought I was just napping. Because sometimes that has happened. I wish. Me too. I wish.

That would have been great. I wanna nap. He's he's playing his video game. That would have been even worse. That would have been even worse.

Napping, I can understand. If you were just buried in your video game relaxing. Not Awake. Feeding our daughter, I would have been like This guy. Why I ought to it's different if I do that.

Yeah. Well, welcome to a normal twenty four hours of, this day, and we'll see how you fill it. Yeah. I think I'm probably gonna go to bed early tonight. Yeah?

I'm pretty beat. I'm too old for this. It checks out. It checks out that I'm too old? No.

But we should go to bed early because we're tired people. Yeah. Yeah. I I think that's a good answer. Older I get, the more I'm like, dinner at four and bed at six.

What? Tom's right with that. Bed at six? I don't what's the Dinner at four? Listen.

What's the early bird special? What time does that begin? I have no idea what you're talking about. Like, if like, senior citizens eat dinner at they call it the early bird special. You can go eat dinner at restaurants.

Look that up. I will look it up. That's what it's called. Like early bird special is breakfast. It might be.

That that sounds more like breakfast. What's the dinner? I don't think it is. Early bird dinner is a dinner served earlier than traditional normal hours. See?

Okay. What time? It doesn't say. Oh. Usually, it's early bird dinner.

I knew it. You're so wrong. Everyone knows. Usually, it's, like, four or five Okay. That early bird dinner begins because they wanna get to bed.

They wanna eat. They wanna get to bed, and I think that sounds heavenly. Let's eat dinner at four. I think bed at, like, 08:39. Yeah.

Okay. I'm down. Doesn't that sound nice? I mean, yeah, but it's gonna be so hard to fall asleep. Oh, hey.

We'll talk about this later. I got a complaint. Great. The Indianapolis Five Hundred is this Sunday. Okay.

And part of their festivities, they're going to include a weenie five hundred. What is that? This is the first competitive race for the entire Wienermobile fleet. No way. This is the first time all six Wienermobiles have gathered together in over a decade.

That is gonna be a sight. I know. Did you know there were six Wienermobiles? I knew there were a handful. I didn't know there were six.

Okay. Doesn't a pack come with eight? They should have two more. Just saying. I'm just saying.

And then the bun mobile, it'll have 10. Yeah. Because that makes no sense. No. I think there's how many bums are in a pack?

I think there's eight. It's wrong. Whatever it is, it's wrong. You're right. Okay.

So each Wienermobile represents a distinct regional hot dog. So they've got the chai dog representing the Midwest. Ah. They get the New York dog representing the East Coast. Yeah.

They got the Sonoran dog representing the Southwest. Alright. The chili dog representing the South. K. And the Seattle dog representing the Northwest.

So the one that I've seen a couple of times oh, go ahead. I missed one. I was saving this one for last because it's my favorite. Yeah. The slaw dog Slaw dog.

Representing the Southeast. Okay. So The South gets, like, three. Well, there's there's a lot of land to cover in America here. So, there are there's a Southwest.

Right? Yeah. They have a Southeast, Southwest, and a South. Yeah. And then a Northwest and East Coast and a Midwest.

But think about population population cities in the Pacific Northwest between Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming making up the Pacific Northwest. Right? Yeah. And and we could probably include the top of Nevada, the top of Utah, the top of California in that as well. Alright.

And maybe even Colorado. Southwest is going to be most of California, Arizona. So a lot of people in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. And then you're gonna have New Mexico, which is spread out a little bit more. Bottom of Colorado has, like, four people in it.

I'm bored by your confirmation. I know. But then Texas is like a massive, huge area with lots of people. Okay. Listen.

This is also going to include custom hotdogger racing suits. I think this is cool. I know. And Like, the time to be a a a hotdogger is right now. This is the prime hotdogger time.

There's gonna be a condiment spray. I don't know what that means. And a hot dog for the champion. Alright. Condiment spray, not Gatorade.

I don't know. Do they do that in car racing? I don't know. It's gotta be some tie to I don't watch a lot of car racing. You don't watch Indy five hundred?

No. This race is gonna happen on Friday at two eastern time. So noon our time. And it's gonna stream on Fox Sports app and the IndyCar on Fox social media. Look.

I I will watch the highlights of that thing online. I'll see it, but that's fun. Six Wienermobiles at once is pretty great. I've seen the Wienermobile, like, three times How fast do you think a wienermobile goes? It's pretty quick.

You think? It's not I not very aerodynamic, but they're quick. I'm trying to remember what they're built on. A chassis. I'd assume.

Yeah. I know. The car the car that it is built on is a Chevy Motorhome chassis. Oh, really? Yeah.

Yep. And it has a it has a v eight engine, and the body is fiberglass and styrofoam. I wanna I wanna hotdogger racing skid. Know that they have a little mini? They've they've made, like, a mini Cooper short hot dog wiener wheel.

Look it up. I wonder if that's gonna be in the race. It I don't think it is. I don't know. Yeah.

Because they just have the six the six, big ones together. Together forever. Uh-huh. And do you think the, the peanut will show up? I've seen the peanut as well.

Oh, he might. The peanut was cool. When was the last time I have a picture of you. With the peanut? With the wienermobile.

Yeah. It was here not too long ago. It's been a few years. We we spotted it in the parking lot when we were driving by, in 2020 because the kids have on masks when they took their picture with them. Oh, there you go.

So I know that was I know when that one was, but I don't remember if I saw it after that or not. Anyway, it's been a minute. Good luck, Wienermobile. Good luck, Wienermobiles. Which one are you racing for?

I'm I'm racing for the Of course. I'm going for the Pacific Northwest. I'm going for the slaw dog. I like the name, but the Seattle dog has got a win. That's that's our that's our local dog.

They could have made it a better name. It's just where it's based out of. You know? Seattle dog? Yeah.

Come up with a cuter name. Let's go hotdoggers. Alright. Let's go. Emery was home from school on Monday because, they typically don't go to school on Mondays.

Right. And she said sent me a text and said, hey. Can I DoorDash? She had some money in her account, and I said, yeah. Go ahead.

She was not excited about how much it cost. I don't know if she told you. No. She said, it's ridiculous. Yeah.

I said, I know. And so when she's spending her own money Yeah. And and she used, the restaurant's delivery service rather than DoorDash, so she didn't have to pay additional on top Smart. Which was smart, but it was still expensive. And she was like, I can't believe it.

It was, like, $16 or $13 or something like that. And I was like, yeah, dude. It's way expensive to eat out. Like, you this and and she ordered a sandwich, and I went, bruh, we have all the stuff to make a sandwich in the fridge. And she's like, it's not the same.

I said, I get it. It's expensive. And it's just lunch. Right. Like She was she was just a means to fill your stomach.

Her argument about making her own sandwich was that it's not the same, and she wanted chips and a drink. And I went, we have chips. Maybe not the the same chips that that particular sandwich shop has, but we have chips. Well, I'm glad she realized how expensive it was. Excited about the cost.

Let's go get this. But she still hit pay. She still confirmed the transaction. She's like, yeah. It's expensive, but I'm still gonna do it.

Too. Yeah. I can't believe how much this is going to cost. Pay. And then she said, oh, hey.

I also swept and mopped the kitchen for you. And I was like, oh, that's amazing. Thank you so much because that has needed to be done for a while. Yeah. I get home, and I look at the floor, and I go Yeah.

You pointed it out to me. And they don't do it the way that I do it. They don't move I know. The table or the chairs. Right.

They They didn't deep mop. They maybe surface mop. But here's the problem. She even surface mop. She might have I I just realized Spot mopped her window.

What's the Swiffer thing? She might have Swiffer mopped. I bet she did that. That's what she did. You're right.

She didn't mop mop. I don't think she swept, though, either because it didn't look like there was had even been the dog walls hadn't been moved. No. Yeah. Because she she swept and and Swiffer mopped around the the stuff.

Yeah. Yeah. No. That's what happened. I just realized because I went no way, dude, because, Beck tripped over the mop bucket the other day, and it's still laying on its side exactly where he left it.

So I know that mop bucket didn't move. And so I went, there's no way. But then I just remembered we have that little, that little red slipper sprayer thing. That's what she did. You're right.

Yeah. Which is why it didn't look mopped because it it's it's been Swifford. But she still didn't even there was still spots where I was like, Oh, she didn't scrub. No. No.

You sprayed some water and did a quick swipe across the floor. Which is better than nothing. Yeah. I guess. But when she told me the accolades I gave her She did that.

Like, thank you so much. I really appreciate that. She was like you did. Yeah. I did a good I did a good job too.

Yeah. Which, to be fair, now that I think about it a little bit more, I'm like, at least you did do that part. I thought she was totally making it up. Because I went, that mop bucket, no way. I just remembered we had that thing.

And that thing's you don't have to fill a bucket. You don't have to haul it around. You don't have to do a little spinny pedal thing. Quick just a quick mop. It's a quick mop.

Yeah. She did the quick mop. Smock. But she didn't pull the chairs out and do under the table, and she went around the stove. Even a big spot right next to the dishwasher that you can plainly see needs to be mopped.

Yeah. Well, that'll sit there for another week or so until I can get to do it. I should probably hire a ask later. I can't afford to. I'm paying for sandwich delivery.

That's right. That's exactly right. I mentioned earlier that Beck and I were wrapped up in a pretty big project, and it was, distracting me from other, household duties, like dinner, for example. I didn't eat until after you got home. I couldn't even I had no appetite because this project was so consuming.

And it was supposed to be it was presented to me by our son as a pretty easy project. It's just some hoses. And to be fair, it is just some hoses. But I don't know, like, the ins and outs of every single little car part. And so when you are putting in a performance aftermarket part into a little zippy kind of car that already has modifications done to it, it isn't just as easy as the instructions make it out to be.

And so, we had to leave the project unfinished after spending four hours at least working on that That sounds miserable. And watching YouTube videos and reading the instructions over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over trying to figure it out. Doing a project with your son is supposed to be fun. Okay. And it was a good time.

I'm not gonna lie. Like, that was all good. Like, we got a tray. He read through all the tools we were gonna need, so we pulled all the tools. I found out I'm missing a bunch of my sockets, so they're somewhere in that What about the 10 millimeter socket?

Lean garage and my deep well 10 millimeter is one of them. I had the shallow one, so we were okay. But I had the short the short socket, but I did not have the long socket. So, which we're okay. We're we're fine because I have lots of extensions, and so it's not a big deal.

Oh, good. I'm so glad. Yeah. Me too. Because that's there's nothing more frustrating than not having a 10 millimeter socket when you're trying to do car stuff.

Anyway, so it, it it's not complete, and that's frustrating. And so I've gotta call somebody today and go, hey. Listen. Here's where I'm at because, it's it's all tied into this is gonna sound super technical. It's all tied into the PCV system, right, which is a a a series of vacuum tubes Mhmm.

That that make the engine pressure work. Yeah. I know. I've learned a lot. And, the three hoses that we still have yet to attach, where we need to attach them, there's already stuff plugged in.

So I need to know how to attach this stuff and not negatively affect the other things that are connected. So I've got a I've got a problem. Everything else is done. I would say we're about 75% done with the install, but I don't know what to do. So I'm at an impasse, and it's frustrating.

I appreciate that you were helping him with this project because, initially, he was gonna do this project by himself. Right. Because it's just a series of hoses. That's what he told you. Yeah.

And I said, I don't know, dude. Let's let's take our time with it and see what's up. So, yeah, it's it's a it's a bit of a pain. And and I don't necessarily love, love, love tinkering around with with autos. It's not, like, top of my list of hobbies.

Project for you. Right? Like, it's fine. I'll turn some wrenches if I have to. I can do some maintenance.

I know how to, like, do some simple stuff. I've replaced some spark plugs. You can do things like that. And cars? Some stuff.

Replacing lights and things? Sure. You can too. Go get the part. I'll show you how.

I forgot you had a taillight out. Mhmm. I didn't. It reminds me every day. Go get the part.

I have the part. You don't know if you have the part. I'm pretty sure I have the part. Know. We'll have to see.

I'll do it myself. Okay. No. You won't. Bet.

No. Just do it for me. You're right. I thought maybe if I push hard enough, you'll be like, I'll show him. I'll go do it myself.

No. But I don't want to. You backed off that one pretty quick. I did. There there are times when I'm like, say I won't.

Right. I was hoping this was one of those. No. No. I because I don't want to.

I bet you wouldn't do it anyway. You're right. I wouldn't. Yeah. Alright.

So, anyway, it's, yeah, it's a it's a bit of a frustrating situation right now because his car can't be driven, so he had to get a ride to work. I've gotta get this fixed right away. Yeah. Because it I will like you he had to get a ride to work, but Yeah. I was just thinking, like, how's he gonna go get lunch?

And I know. I bet he didn't think about that either. I know. That sucks. I know.

It's tough. It sucks when you have to rely on somebody else for your transportation needs. So At least it's like his cousin. It's not like, you know, just somebody at work. Sucks.

You feel like you're putting somebody else out. I know. Mhmm. Dang it. I know.

I know. So it's, yeah, it's a it's a frustrating Oh, our stuff is the worst. I'm a little bit buried in the project, but I had greasy hands yesterday. That was kinda fun. That feel good?

I mean, it was okay. I wasn't upset. You know? Feel like a dude? Yeah.

Dude stuff. Doing dude stuff. I don't know. We'll figure it out. I just have to call some people and ask the right questions.

I took notes. I said, Beck, you gotta help me, man. I don't know every single part of this engine. Like, you need to tell me what we're actually trying to connect. And he's like, well, it's the name of this thing and this thing.

I'm like, great. So I just wrote down a bunch of notes, and hopefully, I can explain it well enough that somebody can be like, yeah. Here's what you got to do. Yeah. Or come look at it.

Maybe I can get somebody to come and look at it, and then they can, just go like, oh, let's just knock this out. Like, I feel like it's I feel like I've got, like, thirty minutes left on this project, and then it's done. But I just don't know what I'm doing, and I hate that part. I know. I'm sorry.

I know. That's the most frustrating part is it's like, I should know how to do this. Right? No. Because every car is different, especially when it's had modifications like his has.

So hey. But you do know how to do a taillight? Do I? Volkswagen Golf. I bet you could Google it.

No. It's pretty basic. You could do it. It out. There's a YouTube video for you.

Sure. Do it. You look up the the research and show me how to do it. Or as I learned last night, that turns into, I don't even know what to look for. I go, I don't know.

Put in some words. Google some of these words. I don't know what these things are. Try some more. Keep looking at other videos.

Watch somebody else's video. I don't know, dude. I'm not gonna stand here looking at your open hood anymore. Fun. You had a fun night.

I know. It was alright. But, hey, chicken nuggets happened, so dinner got taken care of. I got a complaint. I, I earlier, we were talking about something, and you, about went on a tangent about whatever it is that you're about to complain about.

Please please complain. Do you know by the notes what it is gonna be about? I I I I don't know specifically what you're upset about because there's a good chance I was asleep. I don't know if upset is not the right word. I'm not upset about it.

I just how do I approach this tactfully? I love you very much. Oh, that's nice. Been married for This is a weird complaint. No.

We've been married for a very long time, and, of course, I love you forever. Uh-huh. You are a cuddler, and I am not. When we are sleeping, I like to be left alone. This is my space.

Leave me in my space. Okay. And you say, no. No. No.

Let's let's do some cuddling. And I go, no. No. No. Just go away.

This morning, I was happy as a clam, slumbering away, and here you come. And you it was not just cuddling. No. It was it was a good spoon. No.

It was more than just a spoon. What do you mean? You were It was it was a spoon, and then I was sleeping. I don't know what you're talking about. It was too much.

You had a leg draped over my whole body. You had an arm draped over my whole body. It was essentially, like, I couldn't You were you're totally a snuggle. What are you talking about? It was too much.

It's a nice snuggle. It was too much. No. And then I went, and I laid there for a minute, and I was like, alright. Well, it's warm.

So at least I'll just I'll I'll appreciate that. Man. And then Here's the here's my question. I went, no. I can't do it, and I kicked off your leg.

Yeah. I went, that's gotta go. It's too much. You're you're doing too much. Just just comfortable.

Kick off a leg. You can keep an arm, but the the It was super comfortable. Let it go. I don't know. What were you doing?

Well, I feel like if I didn't, if I was like, fine. Have your space, then you're gonna be like, how come you don't snuggle ever? Well, right. It has to be my turn. This is I know.

This is ridiculous. This is, this is unmanageable. How how in the world am I supposed to know? Okay. It's too it's too much, Josh.

It's, like, you can't throw your whole body over me. Just just it's just a snuggle. It's not just a snuggle, but your whole, like, your whole I went ugh. Yeah. The second you rolled over and put your whole legs Here we go.

Whole arms, I went, I can't. I can't do this. I was on my side. It's left arm and left leg Yeah. In a spoon.

And it wasn't just a spoon. That's nice. No. It's you're doing too much. Well Back off a little.

You can back off a little. Be on my side. Get us a divider. You gotta find some middle ground. Middle ground, buddy.

I found middle ground. It was cuddly and slightly with nice little or you do too much. Middle ground. Find some middle ground. And I'll tell you when is the appropriate time.

I believe I had. Just not though? Not this no. It was too much. Just no.

Back off a little. Alright. I'll ease up. I do love you. Just from a distance.

Got it. Check. Have you seen all these recipes that involve cottage cheese? I saw one yesterday. Cottage cheese is, like, on its game right now.

Is that right? Yeah. I think the cottage cheese industry is like, this is our moment. What was the We're here. I I think people are like, it's an easy way to add protein to something.

Yeah. The one that I saw yesterday, I said, hey. This seems interesting. It's like an egg salad, but Instead of mayonnaise. Instead of mayonnaise, you're using cottage cheese.

And as I'm reading you the recipe, you said I saw that that's what I brought for lunch. My lunch bag. That's what I made. That's what your voice sounds like to me. Did you know that?

You made that. That's what I saw on the Internet, and I made it. I don't know why you talk like that. It's a weird thing you do, but that's you. My impression to you.

It was actually pretty tasty. Was it? I was gonna ask how it turned out. The exact so, basically, what you do is you just replace your mayonnaise with the cottage cheese. What?

You said mayonnaise. Mayonnaise. K. So you're instead of mayo, you're using cottage cheese. Yeah.

The rest of it's the same? Yeah. You can add mustard. Pickle juice or mustard. The thing.

I've been trying a new, way of eating. What's that mean? It's more protein. Like, I'm increasing my protein. I thought you were, like, not using your mouth or something.

Go on. And I'm trying I'm trying to limit my sugar intake Okay. Good. And my gluten intake. It doesn't help when, you're trying to do that, and then you come home from a long stressful day of sixteen hours or whatever.

And your daughter's made a big old plate of homemade That are delicious. Very good chocolate chip cookies. I know. One. Yeah.

And then they were so good that I was like, well, I gotta try two. I know. They were very good. And I think I saw you sneak a third. I did sneak a third.

Yeah. It was a long day. Okay. Back to cottage cheese. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Alright. Sorry. The main course, cottage cheese.

Go on. So mustard is fine. Like, this this k. I don't wanna say diet because it's not a diet. Like, diet feels like a fad.

You know? But it's a it's a I'm just trying to What's the what's it called? The way that I'm eating? What? The does it have a name?

Like, like, if you were doing, like, a paleo or a keto or sort of a version of paleo and, keto and Whole30. And Okay. So it's but it's but it's the idea is, like, healthier food. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Okay. Sure. Yeah. Mustard is like, basically, you eat stuff that, like, you can read the ingredients.

When you look at the ingredients, you're like, oh, yeah. I know that. I know that. I know that. I know that.

Can you have, like, beets? Yeah. You can have beets. Can you put mustard on the beets? Come on.

Go ahead. You can have mustard and beans. Your silence is so loud. Oh, jeez. You looked away.

Like, you turned your whole body, like out of this conversation. K. Go ahead. Please tell me. Getting as much mustard as you want.

I mean, really, because it's just mustard. Okay. So you can you put in your cottage cheese. You put in your eggs. You put in your pickles, if you wanna put in pickles.

Okay. I put in paprika in mine Alright. And salt and pepper. Mhmm. And it was delicious.

Okay. Good. It was like egg salad. Like to try it. I'd I I would think it would be pretty good.

It was good. And then I just saw a recipe somebody made, like, I don't know what the recipe was. Hang on a minute. But I've seen, like, cottage cheese cookie dough Oh, really? That you can make cookie dough with cottage cheese.

Really? Cottage cheese? I've seen so many recipes Well with that That's a cottage cheese. Now in your algorithm. Cottage cheese has been like this, like Sleeper.

Yes. Yeah. That's what we call it. And all of a sudden, it's like, oh, what's the opposite of a sleeper? MVP.

Sure. It's it's a clear, you know, starting lineup. It is. Okay. It is a stuffed cottage cheese flatbread.

Wow. And I'm looking at it. You it's hold on. Does cottage does, cottage cheese get melty ever? Like, I know it's creamy, and you can use it as, like, a, like, a creamy, additive to things.

But if you do a flatbread with a cottage cheese on that and you bake it It's mozzarella in the middle. So you make the bread you make the flatbread from flour and blended cottage cheese. Interesting. So it's in there. That together I see.

To give you the protein, and then you put your mozzarella in the middle. Got it. It looks really good. Okay. Look at it.

A cheese pull on it. I'll show you again. Okay. I mean, it looks tasty. It looks like a regular flatbread.

Cottage cheese all the things, my guy. Remember when cauliflower all the things was a thing? Cauliflower rice, cauliflower pizza crust, cauliflower on the grill, cauliflower here, cauliflower love cauliflower and all the things. I love cauliflower. It's very good.

And I growing some. It's in the garden. I'll eat it anyway you prepare it. Cauliflower rice? Yes.

Yeah? You know what? You know what I'm most excited about? Cauliflower. My own cauliflower?

Yes. Not paying by the pound. That's true. I'm so excited to not pay by the pound for cauliflower, growing my own. Take that.

When you cut it up and you throw half of it away because the stock is I hate that wasted money. I know you do. I know you do, Joshua. Well, good job, cottage cheese. Way to go.

Cottage cheese. Way to Yeah. Way to come up in the world. Yeah. Way to go.

Buddy. Cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is the MVP. Tonight is the finale of Survivor. Survivor is still around?

Yeah. It's been on the air for over twenty five years. Do you know what season of Survivor this is? I'm gonna take a guess. Survivor, thirty.

Forty eight. No way. No way. Yeah. Way.

Is it still the same host, Jeff? I don't Oops. Uh-huh. No. That's not his name.

I haven't watched Survivor once, so I don't Really? I don't know. Not even the first season? I think I watched the first season, and that was it. No.

I haven't watched any Survivor. Jeff Props. Yeah. Is he still the host? Yeah.

How about that? Since February. Okay. He's been hosting this show for over twenty four years and almost 700 episodes. That's unreal.

And they're tonight wrapping up season forty eight of oh, how's that? How's that what's that noise that makes? You know what I'm saying. Anyway, the survivor one. Anyway, twenty five years that show's been on air, which is pretty incredible.

Now on Friday Wait. Go back. No. What's what's the? On Friday, Mission Impossible, the final reckoning hits theaters.

This is the eighth Mission Impossible movie K. Since the TV show aired, which was on air for seven years. So there was a Mission Impossible TV show for seven years. I'm trying to eight movies. Correlation between this.

No correlation. Just what are we doing? Forty eight seasons of this, eight movies plus a TV show? If it's not broke, why fix it? Why do we keep doing this?

Because if people are still watching, keep going. It's a money hog. How many Mission Impossible movies have I seen? Zero. One.

Just the first one. I think I've also seen the first one. With the suspending, down into the vault thing. Yeah. Right?

Yep. That's the that's, like, the famous scene. Yes. That's it. That's the only one I've seen, and it was a very long time ago.

And this is the eighth movie. And Tom Cruise is in all eight of these You are correct. Doing his own stunts. Okay. Remember when Tom Cruise was cool?

Wow. Listen. He is still cool. He does his own stunts. Yeah.

But he is kind of a weirdo. Alright. Let's be real. Okay. Ever since he jumped on Oprah's couch, remember that?

A strange time. Tom Cruise. That was a strange time. Buddy. But I just, my my whole point here is that we've we've got a lot of same things.

Like, are we ready for something new, or are we just ready to keep repeating the same thing? Like, how much more is there to do on Survivor? Like, it's new people. Come up with new, like Yeah. Challenges and stuff?

Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, we're really involved in Taskmaster, and that show's on its nineteenth series.

That's true. So And it doesn't And it's not old. It's the same, but they have new challenges, and it's pretty awesome. People every series. So I don't know.

Maybe I'm Love that show. Joe. I'm just looking at it through the wrong lenses, but that is a lot of Survivor. Forty eight seasons. Need a new show to watch.

Might I recommend Taskmaster? It's a fantastic out of The UK, and they host they have comedians that compete in these silly little challenges. It does have some swearing, so warning for that. Yeah. And it's British.

YouTube. If you have YouTube. You can watch the full episodes. It's great. It's a great show.

Brilliant. It makes me laugh. It makes me so happy. What's his name that's on there this, this season? Jason Jason, Matsoukas?

Yeah. Is that how you pronounce it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

No. Oh, Josh. No. I I can never remember his name, but I love him. Yeah.

He was on the Good Place. Right? Jason Mantzoukas. Yeah. Jason Mantzoukas.

Yeah. I got it. I got it. Anyway, he's, he's on it this series. It's great.

It's a great show. 19 series. You can watch a whole archive of them. You can. Yeah.

Season seven is my favorite. Okay. Good to know. Josh. Chantel.

You we just went to prom. You were my date for prom. This is true. And, you had some responsibilities. Like, you had to keep the music playlist going, and you had to Sure.

I mean, you were working, and I just wanted to dance. Okay. You're not much of a dancer. Alright. I've I've told you earlier.

I feel like I let you down. Like, I feel like you had some sort of expectation of lot more than you got. No. I just Yeah. That's that's a confident, reassuring no.

I just like to dance. I know. And I just was dancing alone a lot. We took a dancing class together Oh, man. When our son was a baby.

Yes. You didn't enjoy it? It I don't know that it was necessarily that I didn't enjoy it as much as it was a challenge for me. I am not, necessarily gifted with body rhythms, maybe. I don't know.

It was a challenge. It was hard. We were dancing to, sweet Caroline. Yeah. We were doing the waltz.

And I I was really focused on counting my steps. And you did ballroom in high school, and so you were very much like, this is no big deal. I'll just do this thing. And, and so you were able to just free flow move, and I'm really focused. And you're singing along with the song, and I'm like, you gotta stop as I can't focus on counting right now.

It's real bad. I appreciate the effort. What I just found out is that there is a new dancing venue in Rexburg. Is that right? Yeah.

It's called Roots and Boots. Roots and Boots. And it is taking people weekly and teaches them how to swing dance. Really? You can learn swing and line dance moves and enjoy a social atmosphere.

Now when you say swing, are you talking, like, jive swing? Like, or is this some sort of, like, country swing? I don't know the answer to that. All I know, it just says swing in here. So I they didn't specify.

Okay. So I'm looking at I I just looked up a real quick swing dance video from a swing dance festival, and this is like a fast swing. Yeah. This is what I'm talking about. This would be cool.

I don't know if I'd be any good at this. I don't think I'd be good at it either because Have you ever done swing dance? No. I haven't. It's cool.

I like it. I think it it looks great. Like, there's a lot of trust in your partner to do swing dance? Do you not trust me? I trust you, but I never did it because I didn't ever trust those teenage boys.

Uh-huh. I was like, mm-mm. You're gonna hoist me around? Think again. I mean, there's a lot of throwing each other around Yeah.

I know. In, in swing dance. Yeah. I know. But, man, it looks cool.

I got some trust issues. So this roots and boots dance venue, was established by a lifelong dancer dancer named Austin King. K. And he wanted to start a dancing community outside of BYU Idaho, to have people come and learn how to dance and have a dance party. It's a dance studio with an indoor outdoor area.

There are lights and a DJ station, and they get about 300 people per night. No way. Yeah. That's decent. The majority of people in attendance are ages 18 to 24.

Okay. But that's gonna change when these 40 year olds roll up on it. Here we go. He says, I just want an exciting and carefree atmosphere that encourages everyone to attend regardless of their talent or dancing ability. That's great.

It's called Roots and Boots. Roots and Boots. Is it, when's it open? It's open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 07:30 to midnight. Okay.

And you can get tickets at the door for $6. 6 bucks a person to get in. You can go dancing. Yeah. I like it.

I think that sounds so fun. Yeah. Nice. There's more information on eastIdahonews.com if you wanna learn more about it and check it out. Roots and boots in Rexburg.

Roots And Boots And Roots And Boots That's right. Roots and boots and boots and boots. Yeah. Exactly. It's officially time for me to be of two minds of something again, and it's, as we prepare for the Olympic games twenty twenty eight in LA.

Summer games. Flag football on the menu is one of the sports. Okay. And yesterday, the NFL owners voted to allow active players in the NFL to participate in Olympic flag football. They're not worried they're gonna get injured?

It's flag. And I think that's probably why still running injuries, but you could see There's always that potential, but this is this was a kind of a big decision. And so during the Summer Olympics in LA, active NFL players can participate in flag football at the Olympics. So this clears the way for any players who might want to get into Olympic action because of NFL Players Association. Also supports the idea.

There are 10 players on each team, and one of the wrinkles in the selection process is the rule that states no NFL teammates will be Olympic teammates. Interesting. Yeah. Because they already know how Correct. So, essentially, you can get one player from each team to make up the Olympic team.

Here's my struggle. This and this is the same thing that happens when I talk about basketball. Like, we have these leagues where these pros exist Yeah. And they play these sports. And then we have the Olympics, which is a worldwide competition.

And I'm not saying that these aren't America's best athletes in these sports and that that's who we should send. But they do this professionally as their career, as their primary job. Right. Well, I mean, that's what Olympians do too. This is why I get so ripped about it because I don't I don't know how I feel about it totally.

Almost feels like you should be taking college. Everyday people. NFL stars. Right? Maybe.

I don't know. I don't know the right thing. Like, I feel like if you're going to be an Olympic gymnast, for example, you have gone through multiple different competitions. You have gone through lots of different Olympic trials, and then you were selected to go to the Olympics. Right?

Right. Yes. And I don't know what flag like, there are, like, professional flag football is, like, growing and growing, and it's a co ed thing, and it's becoming a very large sport in and of itself. Do those athletes who are growing in that sport and in that community feel slighted that an NFL player can now enter in that arena? Right.

I don't know. I get so torn about this thing. I just think it's a gray area, isn't it? It's not Right? Like Yeah.

Like, for basketball, for example, same same thing. We're gonna send a bunch of NBA players, which are they the best athletes in America? Sure. Probably. Are they best at basketball?

Absolutely. But are they representing the whole of America as a sports? I just don't know. I don't know. No.

I get what you're saying. I do, and I don't have an answer for you because, yeah, everything you're saying is makes sense. But I don't know. But I don't have an answer. I know.

I just don't like, I feel like they should have to have a similar sort of buildup to becoming an Olympian as everybody else. Not just be like, hey. I'm a pro at this, and I got selected because I'm really fast as a running back in the NFL, and so I'm on the flag football team. Or what I don't know. I get what you're saying.

Completely be overthinking it. I just struggle with the fact that that feels like cheating. I get you. And when you see our team's lineup next to another country's lineup, you go like, yeah. Of course, we're gonna win gold.

I know. I know. Right? Like, it's a no brainer. And not That's a four hundred pound dude who's got the best training equipment in the world and has been training.

And he does it every day. And you know what I mean? Like I don't know. And the but then to to the point of basketball, there are, basketball itself is such a melting pot of different countries, and there are NBA players who will go play for their home country even though they're NBA NBA stars, in America. So that, you know, that feels a little more equal.

Yeah. Feels like it evens itself out. Yeah. It's just it's interesting. And I would assume that this would be the same thing for for the NFL.

You may have somebody who's representing, you know, a a Samoan country or, you know, whatever. Anyway, it's been approved. NFL players can be on the flag football teams at the Olympics in 2020. Take a break. It's gonna be okay.

I'm fine. It's gonna be alright. I just it's an inner struggle I have I know. That I thought I'd share with everybody because that's what we do here. We share our inner struggles.

You're welcome. You're welcome. Will, would you rather this or that? That's how the gold miners used to sing it. It's what I heard anyway.

Okay. Would you rather this or that? Would you rather, when you're sick, vomit silver dollars or gummy bears? Money. I don't feel good.

Bling, bling, bling, bling, bling, bling, bling, bling, bling. Rather than gummy bears? Yeah. It's gonna hurt, but it's gonna pay off in the end. I don't know.

I don't get, like, like, nauseous sick like that very often, so it it'd be pretty rare. I'd rather make the coin than the gross gummy bears. You're gonna okay. So you're gonna vomit the silver dollars, and then you're just gonna use them? You're just gonna wash them off and you I am the only one that knows where they came from.

Now I'm gonna question where every money goes. Tielor Mint. Gross. Don't take any money from Josh. What?

Especially how many you have so many silver dollars. That's right. Where'd you get all these? Minted them myself. Collected.

I've spent years collecting them. What a noise that'll make. And then it's it really is gonna hurt. Gummy bears are gonna be nicer coming in. Dollars are pretty big.

I know. Yeah. That's why I'm tempted to go with the gummy bears because they're gonna be softer. What are you gonna do with a bunch of gross gummy bears? Well, you're just gonna sweep them up and throw them away.

You're not gonna reuse them. Are you sweeping them up? Where are you planning on expelling these gummy bears that you would be sweeping them up? Good point. I don't know.

I mean, I don't typically sweep the inside of the toilet, but that's fine. I'll be using, like, a Home Depot bucket. That's what I'll have. Yeah. A big five gallon bucket.

You can't accidentally flush one of those. Right. That's gonna cause all kinds of problems. And it'll cost me 50¢. Actually, I can't Or at all.

May have to have a bucket for the gummy bears too because you don't wanna flush those either. Bling bling bling. I'm gonna go gummy bears. It sound like somebody hit a jackpot. Congratulations.

You're a winner. Would you rather this or that? The eagles are still in the nest. The eagles are still in the nest. So They're on the perch, though.

Yeah. They have been they've been hanging out on the, on the edge of the nest a lot more. Call it the front door. Front porch. Front porch.

Yeah. That's what I meant. And if you watch the video from 2022 when, the last eagle left this nest, it was from the front porch. And it was it was kind of a big big moment. It was a big moment.

Happened at the May in 2022. It was, like, May 31. That's when I think it's gonna happen now too. It's gonna happen when we're oh. That'd be the end of next week.

I feel like it okay. I got confused because that's typically when Memorial Day is. Yeah. Well, I mean, we're kind of there. We're getting close, but that's ten days away.

Weekend, I think. When we're out of town and I'm not watching I know. I'm gonna be sad. And we'll get highlights at the very least. But right now, there's one of these dudes hanging out on the, on the front porch, which is a big deal because they've they've not really explored that until the past, like, day and a half.

And this is kind of, I think this is kind of a big Big deal. It's a big deal. Because the longer you stand out there, the more confidence you're building up that you're gonna take that leap from a 45 feet from the top of that tree. And you're gonna spread your wings out, and then you're gonna go, I'm flying. Sore.

I'm flying. And that's a big moment. They don't ever capture when they land for the first time, though. Well, because who yeah. I mean, you'd have to be there.

Right? You'd have to be there to watch. But I'm sure that's a clumsy You think? I think so. When they are soaring and they're like, okay.

Okay. Okay. Okay. I gotta land. Gotta find a train.

Gotta find a train. Gotta find a train. Where am I gonna go? How am I gonna do this? Nobody prepares me for this.

That's true. Yeah. But there's, there's a it it's kind of a lot of movement around. And what we've seen over the past couple of days that we've been watching is that they've been, like, in the nest alone, and then somebody shows up with a fish. But that timing is getting, like, less and less and less.

Yeah. It really is. So it's it's been really fun to kinda watch fledge watch, with these eagles. It's like any any day now. You just you can feel it.

And I think, the one that's on the front porch now, I don't know which one's which, but that one, sunnier Gizmo, is the one that's been perched overnight is going to leave first for sure. I know. I think so too because he's or she has been the one that's been jumping and flopping the most. So I think that one's not one I think is older. Yeah.

But only high, like, a little while. Right? Was it, like, three day? I thought it was a couple days. I thought it was a couple days.

Oh. But either way sure. Yeah. It's and do when the one leaves, does the other one go like, wait, buddy. Hey.

Hey. Hey. Now I'm here alone, or do they go like, I'm here alone? Yes. Because Nice.

As the baby Oh. With Right. The other two fledged. And I was like, hey. Yeah.

You you left me here with my parents. Okay. How could you do this to me? Right? We were in this together.

Yeah. Uh-huh. Now the nest feels sad. Right. See, I fledged.

I left. So I don't know that I don't know what that's like. There alone. I went parents. I went How could you?

My own adventure. I had a place to be think about those you leave behind in the nest. Alright. Well, it's not personal. But I wonder what that'll be like if if they're that close and they're and they're watching.

Like, when the one goes, does the other one go like, no. I'm going too. And do they take off? I don't know. We're gonna have to wait and see.

It'll be it'll be really interesting. The friends of Big Bear Valley, eagles are the ones that we've been watching since they were little gray fluff balls. Yep. And they are ready to leave the nest, like, literally any minute. I feel like it could happen, like, right now.

Like, you just you see him sitting there, and he's like, yeah. I'm just gonna go. You just don't know when it's gonna happen. And are you feeling emotional about it? No.

I'm not. Okay. Not yet. I'm sure I will be because I'm I feel my emotions. Yeah.

I feel things. Yeah. For sure. A lot of emotions. I get that.

And I'm also in perimenopause. So Okay. I'm not saying any of that's wrong. I'm just I'm not saying any of that is wrong. I'm just, asking questions.

So, alright. Well, if you wanna watch along, they're on YouTube. They're pretty famous. They are pretty famous. Yep.

They're kind of a big deal. So, we've been watching them, and they're getting ready to leave soon. So, that If you have if you have little eaglets that are flying your nest Yeah. Strong. Yeah.

Because it is graduation season, and things will be happening. People will be launching off into their own lives. It's a whole thing. And you'll be there when they crash land. That's right.

To laugh at them. Aw. Not really, you know, to help them out. It's a big deal. So alright.
