Hello, hi, and welcome or welcome back to the Strategic Magic podcast. I'm your host Blu, and I'm a business astrology consultant here to help you use astrology so that you can start, grow, and scale your online business.
In this episode, we're gonna be breaking down why you need to have a low-lift business model, and how you can use your Midheaven to figure out what that looks like. So if you're interested in learning more about what this looks like for you, then keep listening.
I am such an advocate of having a simple business. And the more that I work with the Midheaven and help online service providers to utilize this in their business, it's really helped me to understand the importance of creating a simple business model.
So I wanted to talk about that in today's episode to really help you understand why you should be choosing your business model based on your Midheaven energy, and why it makes such a difference in your business.
So why should you care about having a simple business or a low-lift business model to begin with? The fact of the matter is that our businesses are going to change over time. They are going to evolve and expand or contract based on where we're at in our lives. So it's really important to build a business that is able to be both successful and sustainable, no matter what's happening in your personal life.
So what exactly is a low-lift business model? I like to define this as a business model that aligns both to your life circumstances and your astrological energy.
Your business model needs to be successful, sustainable, and adaptable. What that looks like is being successful in the sense that it is aligned to your markers of success. So are you able to hit your specific business goals? Are you able to maintain that level of success over time? Are you on an upward track or getting close to achieving these goals? And if not, what are the things that need to change about that, maybe specifically within the business foundations in order to better align to what your marker of success is?
So this doesn't necessarily mean that your business needs to hit a certain monetary level in order to be successful. It can be that. But it could also be working with a certain number of clients per year, for example, or hitting certain markers in your ROI.
So you really have to consider what your specific markers of success actually look like. Even going beyond this, looking at, okay, are you able to achieve certain things or maintain a certain quality of life?
Your markers of success really dictate if your business is working for you or not.
You also want your business model to be sustainable. It's not enough for your business to be successful one time or on an inconsistent basis. You really have to create it in a way where it can be a reliable source of success over time.
This goes into establishing your business foundations. Are you able to create a signature offer that will be relevant and successful for years to come, and not just a flash in a pan or something that your clients can only use in a certain period of time?
Your marketing strategy, your selling strategy, even your delivery process and internal systems and structures... all these things need to be able to run and be maintained, whether you are fully present in your business or not.
And then finally, your business model needs to be adaptive. So this looks like being able to maintain your business over time, no matter what your life circumstances are. And this is something that I have experienced myself and also that so many of my clients come to me with.
Perhaps you're in a stage of life where you need to return back to having a 9-5 job. Are you able to maintain the success and the sustainability of your business if you go back to a more traditional job, whether that looks like a full-time, 9-5 role, a part-time role, or even a hybrid role in a non-traditional field, like what I have for my day job.
Maybe there are other circumstances such as dealing with death or illness, having to reconsider your own mental health. There are so many different factors that make life circumstances a priority over your business. And when these things happen, is your business model set up in a way where you can maintain this; where it is sustainable and that it can continue to operate and be flexible enough to change and shift without there being a dip in your success or your sustainability markers?
Having all these things present is what makes a low-lift business model actually successful. So the more that you can prioritize making your business model something that is successful, sustainable, and adaptive, that will help you to create long-term success.
So now that we know what a low-lift business model actually looks like, it's important to recognize how you actually create it. So this is a combination of different things. This is considering your life circumstances as well as your personal astrology, specifically your Midheaven.
When it comes to business astrology, your Midheaven is the most powerful placement to start off with because this is your legacy energy. This is what aligns to, not specifically what you should be doing in the sense of boxing you into a specific niche or industry, but this is really speaking to the specific way that you are meant to show up and do your best work.
Incorporating both of these things helps you to make decisions around what a low-lift business model actually looks like for you in the sense of what success, sustainability, and adaptiveness actually look like for you, and making it relevant for your unique experience.
That's how you create not just a low-lift business model, but a truly aligned business strategy that works for you and will continue to work for you over time.
So looking at your midheaven, we wanna consider what your Midheaven sign actually is. This tells us a lot of important information. The modality, the element that it rules, gives you a lot of clues as to how you can measure and maintain success, as well as what would be required in order to maintain sustainability and maybe even prioritize adaptiveness over time.
This also brings in your Midheaven ruler, which is the planet that rules your Midheaven sign. Which also gives a lot of insight as to the themes that may be relevant for you within your business and your business model.
You may wanna consider the House that your Midheaven is in as well. If you're using whole sign Houses, which I highly recommend that you do, your Midheaven can meet anywhere from the 7th House all the way to the 12th House, depending on your personal birth information. So the house that your Midheaven falls in tells you a lot of information that is relevant to how you are best meant to utilize your Midheaven energy.
All of this can be brought together alongside your personal experience. So outside of astrology, what do you have experience doing? What are the problems that you are best suited to solve? And what is your particular method, or process, or framework in order to provide that solution... in order to make it easier and more attainable for your clients?
Ultimately, a low-lift business model is here to help you be of service to your people in a way that is easier and more aligned for you. It doesn't mean that this doesn't feel like work, but it makes it easier for you to show up, especially when life happens.
And so, creating a low-lift business model needs to be a priority whether you are just getting started with creating your online business, or you've been in the game for a while and you know that it's time to make changes.
The last thing that I wanna say about this is that a low-lift business model also doesn't mean having a boring business.
I am very much an advocate that no matter where you are in your business, it is so important to have a simple business to run. That's also the shortcut to having a low-lift business model, is this one that is simple enough for you to maintain?
But when it comes to that, this doesn't mean that your business is boring. It's still exciting for you to show up. It's still something that you want to commit to, right? And that truly is aligned with your interests, your strengths, your gifts as an online service provider.
So you want to consider what this actually looks like for you and how you can create space to focus your time and energy, prioritizing what your best work actually is, versus creating a business that is super bloated and keeps you busy, but doesn't actually lead you to spend a lot of time doing the things that you truly love and what drives you to actually create an online business in the first place.
So with all this in mind, you wanna consider how you can use your Midheaven to create a low-lift business model, to create a business that is truly aligned to you now and will be in the future.
