Full show transcript:

You

know the candy that's left over after you've taken all the Halloween candy that you like. Yes. You've eaten it. Yes. Do you know what they're calling that? What? Boomer candy. Well, it is. Yeah. Smarties. Smarties is on the list.

Uh let me guess what else? Whoppers.

Uh those did not make the list, no. Because people actually like those, just not you.

Whoppers? Yeah.

Rose. But you would consider Whoppers boomer candy. I believe. 100%. Yeah. Um. What else?

Tootsie roll. I love to see rollers. I get it. It's the bottom of the list. Candy corn. Yes. And the just peppermints. Who's doing that still?

Throwing in a bunch of boomer candy. It's boomer candy. I love the name. It's perfect. The little strawberries are number 10. The root beer barrels are number nine. Smarties. Cinnamon discs. I don't know the cinnamon discs. Yes, you do.

It's like Oh, it's just like a peppermint with cinnamon flavor. Correct. Okay, got it. Starburst is number six on the boomer candy list. That's hilarious. Butterscotch is number five. Cinnamon jawbreakers, which were called atomic fireballs for a long time. I used to love them.

Yeah, I did too. I don't even know. I haven't seen those in a long time.

I haven't had an atomic fireball in a long time. I don't know. Milk Duds is number three, and you're gonna have a problem with that. I like milk beans. I know, boomer.

Laffy Taffy's number two. I like laughing. Yeah, and you know why else it's a boomer candy? Because it comes with a boomer joke. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, it is true. And then where there's original is number one. You love where there's original. But it's a terrible Halloween candy. That's a candy jar candy. That's not candy for trick-or-treaters. Who's handing out where there's a risen card?

We have a bin in the closet of where there's originals. Yeah, I sneak one every once in a while. Oh, well, never mind.

And those butter rum lifesavers, they're delicious. Never get rid of those. Love my butterscotches, man. Love it. Love my butter scotch. Uh anyway. Um I like they're calling it boomer candy because that's appropriate. It feels like no matter what generation you're from, there's always been some old person candy. They're throwing ribbon candies in there. There's always been something where you're like, uh Yuck.

Whoppers.

you don't like them. They didn't make the list though.

Oh, but they should have, because yo. Yeah, because ew. Ew. All right. Sick. Shall we start today's show? Let's do it. Hey there. Hi there. What's up? What's happening, old chap? Old chap. Cherry old old chap. Well, uh, let me just double check.

It's 2026, not 1926, old chap.

I think that needs to come back. That's a that's a great way to reference somebody. What you doing, old chap? Is it? Yeah. Don't you feel like encouraged? I I don't know how I feel. Why?

I guess I need a little more time to process that. Okay. Well, think about it. Process it. Old chap. Yeah. What are you Googling? Uh, I'm working on logging into things and uh uh I'm actually working over here, but old chap is a dated chiefly British affectionate term. Oh, affectionate Yeah. See? It means friend, guy, or fellow, similar to old boy, old sport, or old man. Perfect.

You are a fellow, you are a man. Oh. You are a guy.

I mentioned that it was from the 1920s. Yes. I was wrong. What is it from? What year is it? 192026.

It's 1920 26. It's 2026. Yes. This is from the 1810s to the 1820s. This is old.

I went way back.

You really did. You really did.

You really did. Yeah. Well, I like it.

It says it's uh often carries a slightly formal, nostalgic and playful tone. Oh, see? Old chap.

You don't like when I call you my guy. I don't like that.

Because it's way too casual. And I feel like I've earned a little more than my guy.

So how do you feel about old chap? Pretty equal about it. Okay. Because it also says it's its affection. It means a friend. Guy or fellow. What if I friend zoned you after all this time? What if I was like, mmm. Yeah, what if? We can keep living together. What if?

What if that wasn't our life? Whoa. Settle down, Josh. That was just a little joke. I know. I say, old chap. What's what say, old chap? All right. And then if I have an umbrella, a really long umbrella, I can tap it on the ground. What say, old chap? Like that. What?

What uh what character is this? What say, old chap? Pound pound. I don't know. Check your pocket watch to see what time it is.

No, the train's about to arrive.

I don't care for this character. Why? I I want to see you do it because I think it would be hilarious. I am doing it. No, no. I want to see you in a suit. Little little short stack top hat. Yeah.

Hey, old chap. Maybe train's about to arrive. And then what? What's next? I don't know. I gotta workshop it. Yeah. You do. That's my Halloween costume. No, it's not. But it could be. Ah.

Speaking of, I gotta get on top of that. I don't even know what I'm gonna do. Well, I do, and I gotta order my goods. I thought you already did. No, I haven't. Oh chap. Better get on it. Time's a ticking. Now you're white rabbit. Maybe I'll go as the white rabbit. Perhaps. I'm always late. You are okay. late. Hey!

All right, here's your good news. Twelve years ago, a former firefighter named Jamie Richards set up a charity group called AED Donate. This was 12 years ago. He set this up in the town of Stone, England. And his mission was pretty simple. He wanted to get more defibulators into public spaces where they're needed more. Uh and so he launched the organization and the group installed 54 AEDs in the uh town of Stone alone, and an additional over 10,000 AEDs across the UK. Nice.

That's a big deal. Uh now Jamie and his friend Joe are lacing up their shoes and they are going to walk 20 miles through stone, uh, stopping at every public defibulator in town to perform safety checks and make sure that they're ready for an emergency should they be needed. They are also hoping to raise some more money along the way. Their goal is $3,000 to replace batteries and pads and keep the units rescue ready for another year.

Uh and they will stop at a local school where they're gonna teach the students a basic CPR and how to use the defibulator. Great. Yeah, which is this is all awesome. Um, if past years are Indian any indication, they'll have plenty of community support along the way. Jamie says one of the most memorable moments from a previous walk was seeing drivers pull over and drop donations into the bucket, and uh it was just a reminder of how much this cause means to local residents. So the goal's 3,000, and they've put out over 10,000 defibulators across the UK, uh, which is pretty big. It's a big deal.

That's a great story. I know who is this guy's name? This guy's name is uh Jamie Richards and his buddy is Joe Dean. Jamie and Joe Dean. No. Not Jamie and Joe Dean, Jamie Richards. Yeah, I know. And Joe Dean.

Yeah, I said Jamie and Joe Dean.

Which sounds like a married couple.

No, no, it's just two people that I pushed together. Jamie and Joe Dean. Best friends. Okay. Fair enough. I'm disconnected. Uh that's good news. I had half a day off yesterday. Well, most of the day. Okay. I got done at the radio station, and then I had the rest of the day off.

And I'll tell you what, Josh. What about I was pretty stoked about it. Were you?

Yeah, oh yeah. What happened? I was like, what am I gonna do? I can do so many things. I went down to my craft room and I started a project, a Halloween countdown.

Yeah, the one you were talking about yesterday. Did you get it done?

Yeah, no, because I'm missing some pieces. Velcro. Velcro, and I need some more fusible webbing. You said that. What is that? It's like a it doesn't matter. I'm not gonna try to explain it. I just don't know what it is. I know, it's okay. It's okay. It's stuff that you iron on that gives something a little bit more of a stiffness.

Uh I noticed they were kind of like they held the form. Yeah. That's what it is. Well, okay.

So I need more of that, and I need more Velcro, but then I did that, and then I made zucchini bread.

Yes, and it's delicious.

I did, I made the bed and I did dishes and I did all kinds of stuff. Yeah. Played with the dog. I made dinner.

I mean, it was a what a day. What a day.

It was a great day. I could get used to having the day off. I could.

Until you have to pay bills. Until that. And then you'd be like, I can't. I will say these days off.

I will say, Emory loved to go hang out with her friend, and you and Beck were at work. And so I I did I always love having alone time. I always like desperately wish for alone time. But then about two hours into my alone time, I was like, I'm kind of bored. I hadn't heard from anybody. Nobody was texting me.

Yeah, because everybody was busy at jobs.

I know. And I just got a little bit lonely. That's all. Just got a little lonely.

It's that's the opposite of what I expected to hear.

No, I know.

Because normally it is just uh just leave me alone. I mean, even yesterday, you were talking about how you're bugged by everybody. Yesterday. Yeah. It was bugged by the dog and bugged by people.

Well, the dog is always bugging me. If I could have gotten rid of her yesterday, that would have been great. She kept harping at me. Harf. Harf. Uh-huh. Because she needs something.

Sometimes it's just for you to look at her and go, what do you need? And then she's like, I'm good. Harf.

So I did great. I had a great accomplished day. Well, congratulations.

I worked all day and then some, and then I had to uh rush through my processes of uh winterizing things. Um I did not get everything accomplished, but I got a lot done, and then I had to go to uh Monday night meetings, as they happen, and then uh and then I got home and ate dinner, and then everybody was like, Well, let's go to bed, and I went, what a day.

The rest of us had had a good day. Yeah, you were just busy.

And so therefore, my day was different. Yeah, yeah.

That's how it works, that's how days work.

Everybody has their own day.

Everybody has do your own day, yeah. I'm just saying now. I have to go to work today, and I

yeah, you think it's gonna be a long work day.

I have this unfinished project on my craft table, and I just keep thinking about it. Well, you need supplies, yeah. I know, but uh, if I had the day off, I could go get supplies. Uh-huh. My sister was like, Did you finish it? And I said, No, I need supplies. And she said, Well, go get some. I said, No, it's too cold.

I'm not going outside. Now that's a whole different issue. You better go get supplies before it gets colder. I know it. Because That's what's happening.

There was supposed to be a frost warning last night. Did you see anything?

Uh no, because the frost happens right before the sun comes up. Oh. So no. We're ahead of it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Because we left the house early. So we're ahead of the frost. Anyway. Uh okay. Well, congrats on your good day. Good productivity, uh, good productive day. That's uh that's fun. I just wish that I could have the day off every day.

Well, don't be sad about it. Uh you gotta work, gotta pay the bills, you know. One of these days. One of these days, one of these days. I swear, in the next

20 or so years, one of these days. I was awakened. Oh, I'm sorry.

I was I was sleeping, I was so sound asleep. You were not sound asleep. And I was I was sleeping soundly. I was uh well rested, I was eyes closed, I was very comfortable, and I was awakened. And I said, What's going on? And you uh you had uh open the window in the bedroom. I think you got too hot.

It was too hot, it was much too hot, yeah.

But it was so freezing cold when you went to bed. What happened? I know. Do you know what time this was that you know it's what time was I awakened? Three o'clock, three o'clock.

And that's not why I was awakened. It was part two of why I was awakened. Ah you're leaving out some very

important details Because I was awakened by all of the rustling about. Oh, were ya? And the opening of the window, and I said, What's going on? And you didn't say anything about the heat in the room, or that you were too hot, or that you were, you know, needing to cool down. You said, put on a mask.

I did not say that. I said, dude. You're snoring very loudly. You're doing this.

Yeah, that's why I have a mask.

Put it on.

See, put on a mask. That's why that's what you say.

I don't understand. You go, no, and here's no.

I can tell you. my turn to talk. Okay. I can tell you exactly why I didn't. But go ahead.

I know why you didn't, because you fell asleep before you put it on. And here's what I'll tell you again. Because we keep having this same conversation. Quit hitting the table. I won't. Settle down. I won't. If you are laid down in bed, you are going to fall asleep. Just put on your mask.

Right.

But here's No, we spend a lot of money on that mask. I know. Here, listen. Use it. It's still my turn to talk. You're done. I'm not done. I woke, I was awakened by your snoring. Uh huh. And then it was also hot. It was also having a little bit of the night sweats.

But I woke up because of the the change in the room because of the hub.

No, yeah, you woke up because I went, and you said, What's going on? I said, You're snoring very loudly. Yeah. And you said, Oh, I don't know what to do about it. Sorry.

I do know what to do about it.

I know you know what to do about it.

Yeah. But here's the thing. And let's go back to the beginning of the evening. When I when I get into bed, and I'm like, okay, I'm in bed. There's a nice little snuggle time, right? Like, and I'm not gonna go, okay, let me put on this mask, and then and then like, you know, get comfortable.

So then you've gotta have a routine. You've got to That's what I'm saying. You've got to start your own routine, dude. I can't keep control on your life. You don't want to be a good one. And then you say this to me. You say this to me.

Well, maybe you should just come put it on for me. Right. Yeah, right. Yeah.

Yeah, right. Because that's gonna go over real well. Put on your mask. Put on a mask. I'm about to get a sleep divorce from you. No. Bro, then put on your mask.

Because that's see the whole point is that I'm I'm like, look, you're here like yay And then and then there's like we can snuggle. That's nice. And then sleep happens. I don't even care.

I don't even care. Put on your mask. Because then I get woken up by all of your snoring, and we're spending a lot of money on that C Pad.

So I put it on. At three. Yeah. After I had been awoken. And I had also been awoken because of the rustling about.

Because you do not temperature in the room. You do not sleep well when you're snoring like that. No, I know. Because you wake yourself up too. Well, yeah. And then you didn't even put on your mask when I moved. You didn't even put it on. When I said you're snoring, you said, I don't know. Sorry. I don't know what to do. I don't know. You didn't even put it on. Well, I was so sleepy. Oh.

It was three in the morning. I was so tired.

I can't, I can't even. Nothing makes me so cranky. I don't like having my sleep interrupted. Is that right? I do not.

Is there anyone who does?

No. No, but my kids are finally old enough that I don't need to be interrupted by them.

Well, you were interrupted by the heat more than me. That's not true.

The heat was a secondary thing.

Because when I wear the mask and then you get hot, you're like, it was hot. I woke up. I tossed and turned. I was overheating all night. So it's the heat's fault when I have the mask on. When I fall asleep without my CPAP on. Then you're like, that's enough. It's your fault.

Yeah, last night it was absolutely your fault. I'm still really mad at you. Really? Yeah. No, no one knew. I couldn't tell. Put on your mask. Work on it. Talk has already commenced around the family. Gift shopping has been started. In our house? No, not in our house. In like extended family. You've been part of those conversations.

I've seen text messages. Sure. Yeah. We have uh gift exchanges and things, but uh to the best of my knowledge, I do not know who I would be shopping for. And then I also uh, you know, white elephant wise. There's uh there's always a bit of a not competition, but there's always a bit of a like I gotta have a good white elephant because I want people to like fight for it.

Oh yeah. Um so I uh what what's inevitably happened with my uh gifts is there's been like uh it gets traded quick and then I go, man, I kind of just wanted that for myself. That's what it I gotta quit doing that because then I feel like I I could have just had that. One year I like the white elephant gift so much I bought two, so I could have one. What was it? Do you remember my game boy watch?

That's right. You did buy another one. You just wore that the other day.

I did. I mean, the other day it was like a month ago. A month ago the other day. But yeah. So I've got I've got to keep my eyes open for uh for the next big good white elephant gift. What do you think it's gonna be? I don't even know.

You've ended up with m the white elephant gifts that I've brought before. Mostly because you wanted them. No. The one was uh fanny pack. Yeah, I have that's like a hairy belly. Yeah. And you liked that. It's hilarious. You never wear it.

Well, I don't have anywhere to wear it to. You could wear it anywhere. I could. You're right. I could wear it anywhere.

You know I have to have like a special place to wear it.

I feel like it's a special occasion fanny pack with a hairy belly button. It's gross.

You could wear it to a meeting.

Sure, I could. People are like, what's going on? Oh, let me get my phone out. Here you go. And they go, Are you serious? That's funny.

I don't know what to do this year for a white elephant. Usually the white elephant gifts find me as I'm shopping. I go, Oh, it's that. Oh, I just realized and remembered that we already have one Christmas present. Yeah. Shh, I can't say it too loud.

I know. What time is it? Be quiet. She hasn't left yet. We have one Christmas present for our daughter. Yeah. She usually listens on the way to school, but she hasn't left yet. Okay, we're safe. Shh. We do have one present for her. Okay. Look at us.

You quit saying it out loud.

We're killing it already.

Yeah, we have one gift. Christmas presents this early. It's because we were at the store and literally went. That's a good idea. Like, and you were gonna just let her know, and you were gonna send a picture, and I went, Don't do that. Just get it and wrap it. And you went, Hey, good thinking. So yeah, smart.

Who do you think is gonna be the hardest person to shop for this year? Um I don't know. I don't know.

I don't typically have like a real hard time. I usually get like a like a little bit of uh lightning bolt idea, and I go, aha. So that usually works.

Lightning bolt idea for me.

No, I said I usually get that. It usually happens around December 15th.

That's earlier than I expected.

And I go, aha. I have some ideas for you. Yeah. Cool.

Yeah, but you don't get them all because they're too expensive. Oh, is that right? You just bought yourself a present yesterday, so that's off. I gotta check that off the list. Was that on your list? No. Yeah. No.

And I haven't bought it yet. I gotta I I meant to go pay for it yesterday, and I did not get over there. And so I've gotta go over there today. What is it again? It's uh it's another fly rod, but it's got a specific purpose.

What's the purpose? Uh stream. Streamer fishing. You can use it in a Drift boat. Well, yes, but it's for streamer fishing.

What is streamer fishing? So how deep do you want me to go? I'll tell you this is this is how easy it is for me to explain.

Okay. You know the little flies that float on the top of the water? Those are dry flies, right? I knew that.

Okay. Then there's midges, which are the ones that look like little uh trout candies, little worms and stuff. Those ones are uh are wet flies. You know, nymphs, whatever. It's nymph fishing. And then you have the ones that look like minnows or uh sculpins or like crawdads or whatever that like have swim motion. Yeah.

Those are streamers. Uh-huh. So they're heavier weight, and they have to sink. So I am getting a streamer rod built specifically to fish those. Uh-huh.

Because everything else I have, like I can fish with them, but I don't have anything built with like a sinking line to get them lower and a heavier weight to really sling them out there. That's what that's what it is. Okay, well. Congratulations. Thanks. You went a little too deep. I I tried to keep it basic. I could have gone deeper.

Could have. And you have.

I could have gone deeper. But that's why I'm getting a special rod. So I can't.

Well, I was gonna buy you that for Christmas, but you but you were so I was.

Really? Let me see your list. I'll tell you what's on there if I like it. I don't have a list. You always have a list.

I will I do have a list. I just don't I don't want to look at it yet. Oh it's not, it's not even time yet. We haven't even had Halloween yet. I don't typically start shopping this early.

That's why I would having one is like, hey, let's not forget, huh?

No, I made a list, actually. No, what's on the list?

No, not just that one just the one. Put it in the calendar. Ah.

To like remember that it was there. Smart. That's a smart idea. So on Christmas Eve, I can pull it out and be like, oh yeah. Yeah. The one we forgot. I don't know.

I don't I don't know. I I'm uh I'm excited to see how it goes this year. I think there's a there's a lot of change happening in the house and stuff. So I'm curious to see what goes on. I think that'll be fun. That's all. Okay. Okay. Okay. What about you? Who's hard?

You always. I'm easy. Easy to show you. You actually are. You just always have a lot of ideas. And so I just never know which is the right idea. And then a lot of your stuff is expensive.

And then earlier this year, I had a series of inexpensive items that I was going to put on my list, and you said, just buy it. And I said, You're always telling me my gift list is too expensive. And you went, just get it. Okay.

Well, it was a dumb thing to put on your Christmas witch list. I think so.

I think it's a good gift idea.

But now I have it. You have it now.

So I bought it because you told me to.

I was just looking up recaps of this week's NFL week five. Uh-huh. Uh do you know that the Vikings are five and oh? Yes. Do you know that? I do know that. It's big news. It is big news. And we are the only. It's us and the 49ers. We're the only ones that are 5 0. Everyone thought. Yes. No. Yes.

I mean, yes, only because the Chiefs were on bye week. So they're 4 0, aren't they? That's right. Yeah. But they're also they were on a bye week. So they're four and oh. Okay. You are the only five and oh team as of right now. Yeah. Yeah.

Everyone is surprised that the Vikings are five and oh because I think our offense is not great.

Well, I'm I'm gonna tell you, Kyler Murray showed up this weekend and he uh threw a touchdown pass to Justin Jefferson that was pretty remarkable. It was insane. He had three man coverage, and uh Kyler got that exactly where it needed to be for Justin Jefferson to make a beautiful catch. Yeah, we're pretty good. Oh yeah, we're pretty good. We're pretty good. We are pretty good.

Top man, bro.

Okay. Twelfth man.

Everyone's all surprised. And everyone's like, oh, the Rams are gonna get there. Oh, did the Rams perform last night? They lost. I'm just saying. Everyone's like, no, the Rams are the team to beat. Well, they got beat by the Bills last night. So I'm just saying.

Okay. I like uh I like the Bills. I like Josh Allen. I do like Josh Allen they've got going on over there.

I do like Josh Allen a lot. Yeah, he's a good dude.

You said uh that he is the second best boy.

He is the second nicest boy in football. Right.

Kirk Cousins is number one. Yep. And then Josh Allen's number two. Yes. As nice as boys in football. Yep. Got it. Who's number three?

Who is number three? I gotta think about it for a minute. Well, you ponder on that. Okay.

Uh congratulations to your team. It's a big deal. I mean, you've been a lifelong Vikings fan.

Life long. From when I was little. I've seen the ups and downs.

Right. You've been there through the through through the oh and fives.

I how many years have I been watching football now?

Three or four. Three or four. Yeah. I remember hating football so much because my dad and brother used to watch football every Sunday and every Thursday and every Monday. And my dad and brother are loud. They're just loud dudes. And so when something that they disagreed with was happening, they would shout at the TV. And when something was exciting that they liked, they would holler at the TV. And so it was loud. It was loud in my house. And we were, they were Broncos fans. Did I say that? No. But so what I like to tell my brother now is uh hey, as a lifelong football fan. And he goes, What are you talking about? Uh-huh. Yeah.

As a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings for the past four years. I have been a lifelong fan. Yeah. Right.

I know everything there's to know about them. I know their losses and their wins and prior coaches. Do you? Yeah. Who's your current coach? KOC. And the coach before him.

I know all their prior coaches. Yeah. That guy. Point is, Josh, we're five and oh, baby. And here's the other thing. Everyone was like, oh, they're playing the Saints. I don't know if they're gonna win. Right. Guess what? What? We won. So there. Five and oh. Five and oh, baby.

The only team to be five and oh. And the 49ers. It's two of us. Oh. I didn't hear you say that. Yeah, I was told. I heard you say we're the only team to be five and oh.

No, us in the 49ers. I see.

Which who are your other favorite team? You love them. You have nothing but good things to say about the San Francisco 49ers.

There's a lot of 49ers fans out there.

That's right. There's a lot of fans for every team. There is. And so anything, any shade that you throw toward any team is gonna upset somebody because there's a fan of every team. Yeah. Every 32 of them. Yeah, I know.

Okay. Are there any dolphins fans? Yes, there are. There's one in the building.

Yeah, there is. He's a dolphins fan for life, but he but he's a uh Kansas City Chiefs fan because he he said he can't go through only losing every year.

You gotta pick some new teams, my guy.

And he will tell you all about Patrick Mahomes and how cool.

How much he loves him and how awesome he is and why he's the best. You should have that conversation. I should because it will gross you out.

It will gross me out, and then I'll have to walk away because I'll be so grossed out. I know. I'll be like, that dude isn't even that good.

See, and he'll go, What do you mean? He's got Super Bowl rings, and you'll go, yeah, because of the riffs, and then it'll be a whole thing. I already have this conversation. I have I've already watched it in my head. I already know exactly what's gonna happen. And then you're gonna go, okay, yeah, well, whatever. Five and oh baby, and then you'll walk away. And then I'll walk away. Yeah, no, I know I've I've already played this out. I've seen it.

I don't need to have that conversation. I don't need to, I don't need to start my day out in that kind of animosity. Okay.

Also, I uh he told me yesterday that if you're sitting out on the sidelines in fantasy football this season, then you don't get to talk any trash. So I apparently not only am grounded from playing, I'm also grounded from commentator. Who made those rules?

He did, those are stupid rules because I told him he was losing to Kennedy and uh because he is Kennedy is uh five and oh is she in the work football fantasy league?

Yeah, nice, yep, and I love it. I love it too. Yep, she's doing real good, and she doesn't know what she's doing. No, she does because she's being mentored. I'm not playing.

I'm not playing, I'm consulting five and oh, baby. Yeah, Skull. Skull. dwell man. I don't think you're ready to have this conversation. You think you're ready to have this conversation, but I do not think you're ready to talk about what is going on with your wheels over there.

The other day, okay, uh I was complaining about the squeakiness of my chair. Yes, and it's been pretty good. I don't know if you've noticed.

I have noticed, it doesn't squeak much, and it's not bugging me in the show, and good deal. Things are pretty good over here in this chair. So yesterday I was uh working on a computer and a few things over on your side of the room, and while I was over there, I was trying to move your chair around, and it doesn't roll. It feels like the wheels are dragging across the ground, yeah. And it's slow rolling, and I said to myself, what is going on? And so I turned the chair upside down, and I pulled a wheel off, and I was horrified.

Oh no, what happened? Hair. Is it hair? It's hair.

You have turned every wheel on that chair into a gummed up hair knot like a vacuum brush drum roll all wound up with hair. Gross. Your wheels don't roll because the axles are full of hair. Gross.

I shed a lot of hair, and they have a lot of hair.

Well, you brush your hair over there, yeah. To which I then said, Why are you just throwing it on the floor like it's a barber shop? I'm not, I don't do that. Well, how did it end up in the wheels?

I I don't know how it ends up in the wheels,

but because it's on the floor, and then when you move your chair, it gets sucked up into the wheels. That's how. And now your wheels don't roll. Gross. Because they're full of hair. Gross. I know it's gross. So I was gonna bring in some needle nose pliers and start pulling hair out of it.

I can do that. It's gross, it is gross. I tried doing it with a screwdriver and scissors yesterday, and I went, I'm not doing this. I told our boss Jade about it. I said, I said, look at this. This is awful. And he said, You gotta start making Chewbacca noises and start calling her chewy. This is crazy.

I have a lot of hair and it sheds. There's a lot of it. Even the other day I have a tens unit that I put on my back, and I said, Hey, can you help me put this on? You couldn't. You were covered in hair. You had hair everywhere. Not on my it wasn't like back hair. Let's be clear. It was hair on your back. Yeah.

Like, put this tens unit on my on my back. And I went, where? Where all this hair is. Can't stick it on there. It's crazy.

Well, I'll clean out the chair legs, because that is kind of gross, and I it shouldn't be your responsibility to do it. It's wild. I'm sorry. I can't control it. Every wheel.

I like I th I thought maybe it's just like one wheel that was stuck or something and it was dragging like a bad shopping cart. It's every wheel. And you got like eight wheels on there, and every one of them is having a bad time. Okay. Two. Three. There's five wheels. Like eight. Three, four, five. There's five. Yeah. There's five wheels.

I'll take care of it. What do you what kind of tools do you have?

I have no tools here. That's why I was gonna bring some tools. Why didn't you bring your tools? Because I forgot about it.

I'll figure it out. I can I can I can do this. I'll take my big where's my big scissors? I got rid of them. Why?

Because I found normal size scissors, and I thought you'd be excited.

No, I liked my big scissors.

I didn't. They were ridiculous. You're not doing ribbon cuttings in here every day. They're huge.

I like the you've changed everything.

I got you normal size scissors, and they're like brand new.

I didn't even notice. I cut something this morning, didn't I? I don't know. It was yesterday. Yeah. Did you replace them yesterday? Yeah. I was over in your zone.

Those are the ones I brought in to try to cut the hair out of your wheels. And then I went, I'm leaving these in here and taking the sheep shears out of here.

I liked those big scissors. They were ridiculous.

They were Like a foot long. That's why I liked them. They're huge.

Oh. I'm sad about my scissors. I'll get to work on cleaning out my chair wheels.

You can have those ridiculous scissors back, but I was tired of looking at them and they knocked your cup over. That's true, they did. They're too big. They were too big.

Plus, these don't even whatever. Regular scissors, boring.

Normal regular scissors. Big scissors. Excited. Okay. I guess I can't have anything fun. I guess we can't have nice chairs because you got hair in the wheels. Mine moves so smooth. Like it's just nice. I try to move yours and it's it's literally like dragging around a thing of sand. It kind of is. They're terrible. They're full of hair. They don't turn.

I mean, look at I'm moving around just fine.

Yeah, take take weight out of the chair. Try and move the chair with no weight in it. What do you mean?

Stand up. Like if I say now move the chair. Not happening. Yeah, it's clunking around. No.

I'll take care of it. I already said. Chill down.

Make a Chewbacca noise real quick for me. No, no. Just one time. No. No. Three, two, one, go. No. You do it first. I want to hear yours first, and then I'll do mine. No, you can't do it. Three, two, one, go. No, that wasn't it. That was just a frustrated chantel noise. Yeah, there we go. I like him. He's a good one. Why'd you take your headphones off? Come back.

Why do you always make me do that? I don't know what these conditions are that I'm working in, but uh, this is no way to work. What's going on? I got I got just regular scissors. Yeah. Boring. My computer is broken. Yeah. So I have to do everything on my phone. Right. Internet on my phone.

I was going to tell you to bring your surface. And what happened? I forgot.

Yeah, you did forget. That would have been uh helpful. Helpful. For sure. It would have been.

And your chair's laying on its back because you're pulling hair out of the wheels. Yeah, it's gross. I know. I said that. I tried working on it for about five or ten minutes yesterday, and I went, I'm not doing this.

Well, and I don't mind doing it. It's actually really cool. It's gross. But it's good for my is serving your ADD. Yeah, it is. I get it. I know. But it needs some better tools. The tools I have are not cutting out.

You said I was going to bring needlenose pliers and I forgot.

Now, to be fair fair, our boss Jade is working on my computer. Right. But I got I got no computer. Got no internet on my computer. Yeah. There's no way to work. I can't work in these conditions. I think you're doing fine.

It's been a fine day. You've only yelled at me a handful of times. Throughout the throughout the morning, you yelled at me about uh snoring. Yeah, specifically. Yeah. Specifically, you called me out for that.

Well. Then you said I have expensive taste. And then you also talked about all the things you did yesterday when I was lazy, I guess.

I never said you were lazy. No, I'm just saying it felt that way. No, I never got all these things I did. And you really just wanted to have more days off. I understand the message.

What I will tell you is that I have cooked. Let's see. I've cooked dinner Saturday night. I cooked breakfast Sunday morning. I cooked dinner Sunday night, and I cooked dinner last night. So I've cooked now four times in a row. How's that? It's your turn.

Yeah, I I feel like it comes up on a Tuesday. Pretty often. Because Mondays I have meetings, and when I have the meetings on Monday, you cook dinner, and then Tuesday I have to hear about. And also So I feel like every Tuesday, I need a pass for Monday night. Monday night can't count. Okay, fine.

But you could, because if you cooked it when you got home, you get home typically about three. It's been a little bit later because you've been working on a big project. I've been working on the goat. But usually you get home at three. So you could have dinner ready at 5 5 30.

And then our son doesn't get home till six. I understand. So he's gonna be eating cold food. That's right. And then I have to be at a place at 6 30. So there's just not enough time.

But if we wait for you to get home, then it's really late. And then you're like you can go to bed. Right. And I'm not, I go to bed strictly at 10. Strictly.

I am strictly doing that.

Even our dog is like, it's 10 o'clock. I'm going to bed, y'all. Mm-hmm. Strictly. Very intense. I just I also clean up my dishes when I cook. When you cook, I cleaned this.

Listen, though, this is This is just a pile of things that I am just. Yeah. Sorry.

I'm kind of in a gripe mood. About me. Sorry. It's because you woke me up.

Oh, with with all of my uh heat snoring. All the heat in the room that woke you up.

That's not what woke me up. That was a secondary issue.

Right. Can't work in these conditions. See? You're worried about all that stuff, and I have one condition. What is it? That I have to work with. Everything's great over here. All my buttons are working. Things are things are on the up and up. That's yeah.

I'm just a I'm in a gripey kind of mood. I didn't get enough sleep. My computer is broken.

I got normal size scissors now.

My chair won't roll. My hair is stuck in it. Ugh. Terrible, no good, very bad day. How was your breakfast? I've had to cook dinner three nights in a row. Yeah. Uh Ugh.

did everyone forget that I'm the baby? I think so. I think everybody's giving me the baby.

Any compliments today. Oh, come on. Yeah, everyone did forget that I'm the baby. I somebody tell me I'm pretty.

Would you rather this or that? Did I give you enough time? Yeah. Okay. Would you rather this or that?

Would you rather have a never-ending bag of Skittles or a giant Reese's peanut butter cup? These are both gross. I actually like Reese's better than Skittles. Skittles are the grossest. Unless they're freeze-dried. And then I like them. Oh yeah? Is it the crunch? What? I don't know. That's how I feel about Skittles. Okay.

Since I don't like the sweaty peanut butter of a Reese's.

I know, but it's giant. Great. So maybe it'll be less sweaty.

No, it's going to be more sweaty. I don't know why. I also don't like the milk chocolate. Sweaty. When you open a peanut butter cup and you pull it out and it's shining on top. It's sweaty. I don't like it.

It's because the peanut butter is inside going, come right out. It's hot in hair.

Yeah, I don't like it. Um, I'm also not a big fan of Reese's peanut butter. I don't like their peanut butter flavor. It has uh a weird tartness to it. And I don't care for it. Okay. And I don't like milk chocolate. So what are you going for? I'm going for Skittles purely because I don't like Reese's peanut butter cups.

Okay, what did you add? I will say the mini cups that I used to get when I would go trick-or-treating, the little gold cups, those are good. Those are good. Those don't taste the same as the big cups. Interesting. I think they're making them with different stuff. And Reese's pieces don't taste like Reese's peanut butter cups.

What about the Reese's?

That's the same. Any shape. It's the same. Tree. It's the same. Any shape, it's the same. It's milk chocolate wrapped around that sweaty peanut butter.

But you like Reese's pieces? I don't mind them. I like resistance.

I know you do. I sat through you eating a whole bag. They weren't that crunchy. They're very crunchy. We had a listener uh talk to us about mesophonia because it exists in their house as well. And then you were talking about how I've broken you. You've ruined me. You won't eat in public.

In front of people because I'm so afraid that's gonna be noisy. And so if I have carrots for lunch, I'll have to go eat them in a different room. Everyone should do that.

Carrots, apples, those are not public uh snacks. Yes, they are. Eat that in private so you don't crunch around people.

You just go mind your own business. Put on some headphones. You're the one with the problem. Oh no, you woe. I'm already disgruntled.

How dare you? I can't work in these conditions. I'm gonna get job hazard pay something. Anyway, I'm picking Skittles because I don't like that peanut butter. Okay.

Would you rather Skittles or Starburst? Skittles. Sour Skittles or regular Skittles? Tropical. I didn't say that. Sour Skittles. I answered the question. No, I Tropical. Tropical. But you can get sour tropical Skittles. Sour or regular. Tropical.

Not sour. That's it. We're done. Not sour. Okay.

Regular. Thanks for having me.

Or tropical. regular. That's what I mean.

You can get tropical regular or tropical sour. Can you? Yes.

How do you know so much about Skittles?

Because I have kids.

So do I. You don't pay attention to the Skittles. We don't have Skittles conversations. Well, I do. When? Years ago. Did you say what you're picking? Yeah, I'm gonna take the Reese's. No. Why? Because delicious. All right. Would you rather this or that?

This is gonna make your 18-year-old self very happy. Okay. Frosted tips or back.

I mean, yeah, okay. Like I did that when I was in high school, but I can't do it now. So it almost makes me sadder. Because I would do it. You could do it. Where?

You have hair around the sides and back. That's not it. That's not the look. No, I can't do that. You could you could, but you could. Nobody wants that. Okay, so we hear it. It's a little bit different. So in the 90s and early 2000s, there was like chunky stripes of frosted tips. And now people will get like a buzz cut and then bleach their buzz cut. And so the frosted tips are like when it's grown out and it's got like a it's a softer, more blended look. No, that's MM hair. MM hair. Yeah.

MM's bleached buzz cut. No, that's not.

That's not the look. It's like MM bleached hair.

Yeah. That's it. That's absolutely it. Let me look. It's just bleached buzz cut. Yeah. Yeah. M MM's bleached hair. Yeah. That's not it.

And then if you let it grow out a little bit. Yeah.

Then it has the dark under. I've seen it. Oh, yeah. And it's just because you just let your natural darker hair grow out. Like that. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

So you buzz it, you bleach it like MM, you live like that for a couple of months, and then your dark grows out, and then you have that look. Bada bing bada boom. Yeah. I did that.

You did do that. Everybody between ninth grade and senior year in high school did that in the late 90s. It's the 90s again. We've been saying that for years. I know. It's still true. It's the 90s. Here we are living in it. Yeah. Again.

How's it going? Back to the 90s? Yeah. So good.

I guess. They've they've now put 90s hairstyle on wigs in costume shops. When you go looking for a wig for Halloween, you can get my haircut from the 90s. That beautiful center part story book hair is now a wig. Yeah. It is.

And easy to find a costume because they're selling all the clothes. Yeah. What are you dressed up as? 90s. 90s.

What was the 50s? Rock a billy. What was the 60s? The hippie thing. Yeah. Right? 70s. Still a little bit of the flower child, you know, that kind of hippie thing. Peace signs, all that kind of stuff, right?

80s is neon and big hair.

And then big hair kind of went away in the 90s, and now it's like, you know, big baggy pants, in sync t-shirts. Jank-o jeans. Yeah. Those Adidas shoes with the rubber white toe. Ugh. Why are you saying? Well, I've already lived through it.

No, but I like the 90s. I'm not sad to go back. To the fashions? I liked it.

I mean, I liked the time I spent in high school, but the fashions, the low rise.

Not the low rise. Everyone hates the low rise.

T-shirt over the long sleeve shirt.

Yes. That's a good look. I don't know. I've done it. Do it again. Get your frosted tips. I can't. Around the back of the side. I'm not going to do That's awesome. Your beard kind of has frosted tips.

No, that's just old man white hair. Because I'm from prior to the 90s. You see.

You're born in the 1900s.

I was born in the late 1900s, as were you. Yeah. All right. Let's wrap up today's show. Hope you have a great rest of your Tuesday. We'll be back tomorrow. Also, tomorrow, I'm going to be hanging out from noon to two tomorrow with Sarah Noni blankets at the Brickyard Event Center.

I know we have a couple of them in the basement. So soft.

They are awesome blankets. So uh they've got their big sale going on tomorrow. We'll be hanging out there from noon to two, uh, the Brickyard Event Center. So anyway, uh, that's tomorrow, but uh for the rest of the day, just make it a good one. Have a good day.

Yeah. And we'll see you back here tomorrow. Goodbye.
