123: 3 Keys To Making Money Online

So, I was searching how to make money online, how to grow my business online, how to make money quickly.

Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous. Welcome to today's episode and I want to share with you the three essentials to making money online. Years ago when I was in my image consultancy business, I wanted to grow my business and didn't just want to work and get paid and get paid. When I didn't work, I didn't get paid. I was searching how to make money online, how to grow my business online, and how to make money quickly. To be honest, I found a lot of things that didn't really work for me. In fact, they didn't really resonate with me and didn't help me to make any money at all. So in my experience, there are three things that have really made a difference compared to when I was just trying to make money online, make money in my business, no matter what, and now where I actually do make a lot of money from being in business and having an online business.

Genecia Alluora: So here are the things that I think make the difference. Number one, do something that really resonates with you. I finally did something that really resonated with me and who I was as a person. So before when I was trying to come make money for money's sake, I would come up with all sorts of business ideas. I'll come up with so many different things. I'll go like, Yeah, I can do this. I can do that. I might give that a try. Or someone said, That's a great business idea. I should do it. But those things weren't really in line with who I was. And to be honest, the feeling of being able to make money, inspiring people, motivating people, didn't feel really real to me. So I really want you to come back to what is really real for you. What would really make an amazing business for you? Start there. So don't start with the money side of it because that is sometimes going to pull you back. So it's only a vehicle, right? And it's a byproduct. So start with what you want to do, what you're really good at, or what you're truly passionate about. And you are going to have a much better chance to making money from anything else by starting in that space.

Genecia Alluora: So that's number one, it has to be aligned with you as a person. Number two, make sure your idea has marketable value. But there are some things that you can do to make money more easily than others. So I really want you to think about what products and services that you are going to offer. It can be really easy to start a blog and think, Oh, I'll just build an audience. I'll just blog a lot. And I have a lot of people reading my blog and I'll just make money somehow. Trust me, this is a really difficult business model. Going down the road of a business model where you have to work really, really, really hard to get a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of people or maybe advertisers or something like that is really very hard. A sustainable business and marketable business is way more important than trying to work on a business model that cannot even work at all. So it is really better for you if you can have something that is a product or service, then you can offer that to people and can give you money straight away. Like pretty much straight away is best.

Genecia Alluora: So now I want you to take a pen and paper, if possible, to write down what you're really good at. So the third thing is to write down all the things that you're really good at and write down all the things that you can think people will pay you for. Now, your first product or service is going to be one of those things that will match up both lists. You can be really good at one thing, but nobody will pay you for it. The next tip is to really find really non obvious ways. Things that might really be incredibly obvious to you might not be to others. Okay, let me give you an example. One of my clients is an image consultant, and she wanted to sell her services, colors and body language and whatever, not of image consulting, to engineers. And she wrote down she was really good at that. But she was selling to the wrong market because engineers are civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers. So there's so many different types of engineers out there, but you see, at their work, they are not really in front. They are not really the front line people, and they don't really need to look good and understand all these things in order to progress in their career.

Genecia Alluora: When I coach her and mentor her, I said, Why don't you change a different perspective? Take a different perspective and offer them the same thing, but for dating. That means helping engineers look good for their first dates because I believe the engineers want to find girlfriends, right? So whatever the case may be, I said, we may on the first date offer that, right? And really find ways that people will pay you for it. So eventually she did. And in the end, her $3,000 to $5,000 package was selling like hot cakes, not in the first scenario, but in the second one. So that's why you need to find really non obvious ways that people will actually pay you the money. Sometimes what's really obvious, even though you're really good at it, people won't pay you for it. So you have to really understand this aspect. For example, you have a large family, you really mastered the art of feeding six kids under $50, and you do it really in an efficient way. Well, I know that come easy for you, but for some people that's like a revelation. It's like the beacon of light. They're like, tell me how you do that. Tell me what to do first, and then tell me what to do next. And do you have a spreadsheet for that?

Genecia Alluora: Can you make my life really easy? Maybe you found a great way to discipline your dog, organize your home like Marie Kondo or whatever that is. Find those things that you're really good at, even if they are non obvious to you, and find a way that you could package your expertise and show people how to do that. The more specific you can get, the better it is. You literally want to do it like you're showing an alien how to do the thing that you do. The last tip I have for you is to work on your money blocks. Because I want to say about making money in business is you really need to work on your money blocks because you can be really extremely talented in what you do. You have a marketable product, you have something that people just want to buy and it's easy for you, but there's always something missing and something usually sabotages your business and it's stopping you from receiving money for what you do.

Genecia Alluora: Honestly, my entrepreneurial life has completely changed. When I decided to work on eliminating my money blocks, clearing all my negative beliefs, clearing my limiting beliefs. So I've got quite a lot of resources and it's in my program. So go get it. So I just want to tell you that it's absolutely fantastic when you make money from things that you love to do the most, and when you have the freedom and flexibility to have a business that really works for your lifestyle, to own and love the F word.
