Good morning and welcome. Today we delve into the new Torah portion, Baha Losha. This section begins with God instructing Moses to speak to Aaron about the menorah's lighting in the Tabernacle. The menorah, with its seven lamps, symbolizes bringing divine light into the world, emphasizing that every Jew is a candle needing to be ignited. Aaron, the high priest, felt excluded during the tribal offerings but was reassured by God that his unique role in kindling the menorah was of greater significance. This teaches us about the importance of our individual contributions, reminding us that every soul needs nurturing to shine. The Levites, tasked with serving in the Tabernacle, underwent a special induction involving purification and offerings, symbolizing their role as intermediaries between God and the people. The dedication of the Levites reflects our obligation to inspire others and kindle the light within them, just as Aaron did. May we carry this light into our lives.
