Disruption Now

She was told she wasn't tall enough, thin enough, pretty enough.
Now she’s rewriting the rules of beauty for everyone else.

In this episode 183 of the Disruption Now Podcast, Sian Bitner-Kearney, founder of Rock Your Beauty, reveals how perfectionism, filters, and social media lies damage self-worth—and what it takes to break free. I wasn't enough I wasn't tall enough

I wasn't thin enough I wasn't pretty enough

beauty is in every face

what is out there on social media

most of the time is not real right

it's filtered the harder you try to be perfect

you're just you're wearing yourself out

if that have to is making you feel insecure

is making you feel like you're not enough

that would be the advice that

that I would say ignore like for young girls today

they're looking at this and they're saying

this is

they're thinking this is what real people look like

one tactic right

is to stop scrolling so much

you're enough right

you don't have to look that way

treat yourself like you would treat your best friend

beautiful comes from this kind of internal sparkle

but if they can walk into a room and they can own it

I mean it just

it elevates everything about them instantly

yeah success for me is growth

the true beauty really is in is in diversity

welcome to disruption now

I'm your host and moderator

Rob Richardson with me is **Sian Bitner-Kearney**

she is the founder of Rock Your Beauty

you know in the age of social media

one of the hardest things that uh

a lot of women are going through is

is comparing themselves more and more

and defining what is beauty

and having it change so much

and having to follow algorithms that

you know we know affects people's mental capacity

their brains and how they feel about themselves right

so you know

in the age of AI social media

what does it mean to be beautiful

and how do you preserve your

your own sanity and your own health

I guess is is

is is how we want to approach this

and **Sian's** been doing that work for a while **Sian**

welcome to the show thank you

thank you for having me oh
