What is Do It Today?

DO IT TODAY is a podcast hosted by Kara Cutruzzula, who asks friends and notable figures across creative industries about what they're doing that day—and how they're going to do it. It's an up close look at process and practice, a reminder for you to do your most meaningful work, and a mini dose of encouragement in 20 minutes or less.

Kara: Welcome to do it today.

So I've always been a little bit obsessed
with how people live their lives,

especially when they're in the middle
of making something or working through

a problem or starting something new.

So this podcast is meant to shine a
light on the things that we want to do,

and which are often really hard to do.

And how we somehow
manage to do them anyway.

So to figure all that out, I'll be
talking with people about what they're

doing today and how they're doing it.

This will be a look at creative
process and practice, and maybe a

little pep talk for anyone listening
who's trying to do something too.

And this idea is tied to my new book,
which is out October 11th, 2022, called Do

It Today an Encouragement Journal, which
is a space for you to figure out how to

do your most meaningful work more often.

So to be honest, after these last
few years, I just wanted to find

some energy and encouragement again.

Um, it's been rough out here.

Okay?

And I thought I'd start by calling
up people and seeing how they manage

their projects, their day to day
lives, and how they're moving forward.

A lot of people I've been
friends with for many years.

Some people are new friends, some
people I've never spoken to before.

And I'm excited to see where this goes.

So thanks for coming with
me and I hope you're doing

something you really enjoy today.
