GOD is A “Trust Fund Daddy” You Don’t Get The Trust Fund without “TRUST” April 29, 2024

In this episode Carolyn is expressing the dynamics of being on a journey where God cleared the way for elevation within her career in hospitality. While God had opened many doors for her to be obedient and overcome any obstacles put before her he also grants Carolyn another counter-offer. 

This is an episode where Carolyn is realizing she is stuck on which one to choose because she doesn’t want to choose. Carolyn stepped away and allowed space for God to show her which path is best for her and her family. 

The ultimate message behind this episode is that God is our refuge he is our trust fund. But how does one receive the trust fund of eternity if they don’t trust the one holding the power of eternity? 

Psalm 25:1-2 says, "In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me" (NIV).

Psalm 115:9 - O Israel, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield. Psalm 118:8-9 - It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

I'm just so happy and grateful about my life. Like, everything is going such as planned, but in the same token, it don't always feel like that when I'm in the thick of it and when I'm going through it. But I am extremely grateful. Like, the conversation with Tim went so amazing today. Like, Like, I'm on a fence.

Am I gonna leave and go to State Farm? Am I gonna stay with my giannos and wait until this offer is put on the table? It's just a lot of parts that's being played right now. There's a lot of moves that's being made, and ultimately, I'm just grateful that I just feel like I have been blessed with the opportunity to have a hierophant in my life, the opportunity to have a teacher in my life, the opportunity to have a coach, a mentor. Like, I think the only thing I was lacking in my whole entire process was just, like, discipleship, basically.

Right? Like, I had no leaders around me who were also spiritually grounded in Jesus Christ. You know? Like, being in my workspace helps a lot, but it's just like that man don't even know how much of a role he plays as, like, a life figure for me, like, in the changes that I've had to endure since meeting him and based on the opportunities that were presented through what he could help, you know, coach me towards. And phenomenal.

Phenomenal. Like, Tim is phenomenal, and I'm just so happy and grateful, dear God, that I prayed to you about the situation and circumstance, and you're giving me the patience to, like, take a pause. Do what you need to do because soak it all in. Right? Because there are a lot of moving parts that are happening into this dynamic in reference to, like, which you're gonna either be, like, moving into this management role, or you're gonna be, like, stepping away from Maggiano's altogether and going into a brand new role.

And so it's like, come on, Carolyn. Come on, Carolyn. Like, thank you, god, though. Like, because I feel like my hair knows it's my home. I feel like I was assigned to that company.

God gifted me with something that I could not have created or been without him, And, I just know that hospitality is a gift of mine. It's the center of my heart. It's how I move. It's how I navigate through life for real for real. I'm just very hospitable.

C. Lowe: 02:28

I'm very loving and open hearted and calm and just, like, supportive mostly. You know? Like, whatever you need help with, I'm really your girl for it, but you gotta you know, relationships are reciprocal, and you gotta also treat me like what you wanna experience. Right? So if you're treating me in ways that display value systems that I don't align with.

I'm not gonna just keep overgiving to you in the connection or the relationship just because that's my nature and that's my value. Like, if you're not matching it, I'm gonna pull my energy back. I'm gonna stop talking to you. I'm gonna go the other way because I don't deserve anything less than what I bring to the table. How I treat people is how I wanna be treated.

You know? And I always have the same level of respect and reverence for people because y'all everybody y'all are God's children. Right? Who am I to think? Like, I'm his favorite child, and I could just do whatever the hell I wanna do and just it's gonna be okay.

Like, no. I treat people how I wanna be treated. And at the end of the day, that's what's staying firm. That's what stands firm. And so I'm just grateful, and, Lord, I'm this is taking me on such a journey.

I'm trying to trust you. And sometimes I haven't been a lot of times, I have not been good at doing so, but I'm trying. I'm trying because I know you have a plan orchestrated for me. I know you have an assignment orchestrated for me. I know you have destiny for me.

I know you have abundance for me. I know you have love for me. I know you have all of the things that I have ever prayed for sit situated instead of already for me. Like, God is a trust fund daddy. Like, God is a trust fund daddy, but you don't get the trust fund if you don't trust.

Let's get into it with somebody. I shouldn't be probably talking about this, but it came up. It came out. And not only am I spewing it, but it's something I also need to hear and take heed to too. You know what I mean?

So love where my life is. Super grateful. Like, I'm happy, like, that I got options that I gotta be in my head about which job I wanna take. Like, because a season ago, it was very much like, god.

I'm really I wish I had, and I wish it was dancing. I just so it's so much work, and it's all of these things.

Like, it was just a whole drama session. Right? But it's better now. Okay? She got options now.

What happened? And so I'm not gonna put this out until 1 of those options are concrete. So by the time y'all see it, this all of this done blew over. But, like, I just love my life for that reason that I can do that. I'm a content creator, and I love my life.

And I'm still a 9 to 5 girl, and I love my life too. You know? I'm just you know, I've got when a husband you know? You you know what we had talked about. We ain't gotta live.
