Full show transcript:
Last night in the kitchen as I was cooking, I put on a couple of new songs that we don't normally listen to. And it was kind of, it started with a Metallica thing, so I wanted to hear whiskey in the jar. Oh whiskey in the jar.
Yeah, thank you. So we listened to it while I was cooking. And then it starts just playing other stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it was playing some quiet riot, some skin row, and it was playing just all kinds of stuff.
And I'd skip some stuff, let some stuff play. Alice Cooper came on. Yes.
It was Poison. We're good. You know the song, right? At one point you were gonna marry him. I, okay, it all started. I had a cousin named Chad.
And Chad? Which one? Because apparently there's two.
I do have two. You just said I had a cousin named Chad. I have a cousin named Chad. I have two cousins. You have a cousin. One.
One on my dad's side, one on my mom's side. It's the same Chad. It's not the same Chad. Chad really loved Alice Cooper, and I thought Chad was the coolest. And so he introduced me to Alice Cooper, and I like loved Alice Cooper. Okay, so Alice Cooper in 1974 changed his name to Alice Cooper. Do you know what his name was before that? I'm gonna say Daniel. Vincent Damon Fernier. Alice Cooper. What a name. Vincent sounds much more rock.
Vincent Damon Fernier, Alice Cooper. So this is, this what happened earlier this month. He was on a golf outing in Payson, Arizona, which is not far from where he lives. He lives down in the Phoenix area. And he stopped for gas and accidentally left his credit card in the pump. Oh no, Alice. The next customer behind him is a guy named Jeff Guy with a G, G off guy, who found it and knew who Alice Cooper was. So he called Cooper Solid Rock Teen Center in Phoenix. And on Monday, just the other day, he was able to meet Alice and return his credit card to him.
Sick. Isn't that a fun adventure? I've never get to meet Alice Cooper. I know. Alice said it's one of those things.
If I found the card, I'd say I don't know how to get this to the right person, but luckily they live right here. And it is synonymous with me. And so it was a good call.
And he got his stuff back, which is cool. Cooper, Alice left yesterday for his European tour, which starts this Saturday in Turkey. Alice Cooper is still touring? He's still touring. How old is Alice Cooper? How old is Alice Cooper? Great question. He's got to be 76. Okay.
I mean, that's kind of that sound that checks out. He is 78. I was super close. Barrow, Alice, you're still killing it. Dude.
Pretty fun. I love Alice Cooper. I think he's cool. Would you still marry him?
I don't want to marry him, but do I want to hang out with him? Yeah. I hear he's a pretty chill guy. I think he is.
Yeah. Well, anyway, some news about your boyfriend. He's also a, he, oh no, sorry. Never mind. Forget about it. I read that his birthday was in May, and I was like, oh, he's also a tourist, but that's his daughter.
So never mind. When's his birthday? His birthday is February 4th.
He's a Pisces. Oh, no, he might not quite. He might be early. Oh, he might be, uh, what is it, Aquarius is before that, I think? This is the dawning. Oh, is it?
Of the age of Aquarius. Not an Alice Cooper song. But one that you just had to vocal stem right out of you.
Ready to start today's show? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What's up? Oh, hi. What's what were you gonna say? I don't know. Bro.
I have no idea. What was that? My, my, my, my, my, my, my guy? My buddy.
Yeah. My body. The old, uh, 80s life size doll toy. Was it life size?
For a kid. Did it talk? No. Is plushy?
It has a squishy body and a plastic head. Did you have a my body? No.
But my sister did. Oh, no. Yeah. Why? Oh, no. I don't know. It's creepy. Oh, no.
With his little stripe shirt and his overalls. Yeah. Yeah.
And then they, what was the girl version? Yeah. Kids sister.
Right. Kids sister. You're creepy. They're kind of creepy. Yeah. I wonder if she still has her my buddy. I don't know.
You could put an AI in there and then it could talk to you. Hey friend. Yeah. Yeah.
She did not have the blonde one. Kids sister. Yeah. How about it?
Yeah. What did you have when you were a kid? Uh, I had glow worm. Oh. Which I still have.
Yeah. That's why I'm thinking she probably still has her my buddy doll. That's kind of a big thing to carry around all these years.
I mean, it's not that big. Dead weight. It's a stuffed doll.
It's not that heavy. Did you ever have we had cabbage patch kids? Yeah, you did.
And my, my sister and I did and then I don't know how or why or maybe they thought he felt left out, but they gave my brother a cabbage patch doll and he was like, I'd rather have a Lego, but thanks. Yeah. Yeah.
No doubt. And then my grandma made cabbage patch dolls. I told you about this. We didn't like them. They weren't, yeah, they were low budget and you were ungrateful.
Because she didn't spend real money. The noses were one. I understand. And it didn't smell like the cabbage patch.
Thanks, grams. Kids sister had dimples in her cheeks. And I don't know how I feel about that. Why? She's kind of cherub looking.
I'm trying to see if my buddy had the same kind of cheeks. Why don't you care about that? Oh, I don't care for it. Yeah.
I don't know. It just, it's sort of off putting. They're real deep. What a weird thing to be concerned about, Josh. Well, I mean, it's not going to keep me up at night or anything. I've just noticed.
It will. I'm going to ask your sister, she still has my body and then I'm just gonna. Yeah, my body did have small dimples. Listen to me. And then you're just going to wake up one night. My body's going to be sitting by your bed.
I'm glad you didn't have the blonde one because the blonde one's kind of a creeper. Did you hear what I said? Yeah, I know. Trying to ignore you. How's it going? It's fine. Just forget I said anything.
Yeah. I won't. Look at her deep dimples. And they gave her like blushy cheeks.
Okay. Looks like she's hiding walnuts or something. What are you guys going on?
Why are your cheeks so big? Kid sister, you're looking suspicious. Yeah.
Kid suspicious. Okay. Well, that was fun.
Nostalgia. Good morning. Let's get some good news going this morning. A nine year old girl in Louisiana named Lila has made it her personal mission to make sure that every kid going through a tough time has something soft to hold on to. She was inspired by her dad who works in law enforcement and she started a charity called Lila's Patrol Pals back in April. She's been collecting stuffed animals for first responders to hand out to children during emergencies and she and her family just rolled up to the sheriff's office handing 20 massive boxes of toys. The deputy said that the whole department turned into a bunch of excited kids themselves crowding around to see what was in the boxes. And in just a few months Lila was able to collect and donate over 3000 stuffed animals across 27 different police and sheriff departments in Louisiana.
That's incredible. She said she's not stopping there. She once said she feels like she's done enough to help first responders in her home state. She is then going to start working on Texas. So she says Louisiana set.
I'm headed to Texas. She's nine. That's fantastic. It's incredible.
That is really cool. Way to go Lila. Good job Lila. Lila's Patrol Pals. Lila's Patrol Pals is a great name. It is a great name.
Yeah. Good business model. It's a good name.
Way to go Lila. It's good news. We have a freeze warning tonight. You've already been making preparations. Well I'm not excited about it. No you are not. And I'm a little upset actually. I know you are.
Depending on where you are in the Snaker Valley there's quite a bit of potential for freeze warning and the further north you go the colder the temperatures are. You said last night oh man I just took my wall of water off. I know. Well now I'm going to go put all that back on today.
And then I've got to put some cloths down and I've got to make sure everything is going to try to survive. But all the way from Poca Tello up into Ashton area you can expect and beyond. You can expect freezing temperatures. Big wind advisories again today starting at 9 a.m. 25 to 35 mile per hour winds gusts up to 50 expected for the day and then freeze watch temperatures overnight tonight early tomorrow morning. Yes as it starts at 3.
Yeah. As the sun gets ready to rise we get the awesome frost. We have so many plants that we have to cover. Yeah I mean the hanging baskets will be fine.
It'll be easy to get the like with a lot of like sensitive flowers and stuff too that I'm going to try to figure out how to cover. There's just a lot. There's a lot going on in the backyard and with my garden being as it is in the ground I've got a lot of stuff that I need to get done.
Got a lot of precious plants. I was looking at a gardening group this morning and they're talking about different bucket techniques and frost cloths and you know different blankets and stuff that people can use so I've just got to get. What's a frost cloth? Well they make some cloth like that of course they do. They make stuff.
Of course they do. That you can buy that you can have prepared but I've got to make sure I've got stuff covered. A lot of people are talking about making sure everything's watered which I've got the drip system stuff's watered but then they're talking about like set a sprinkler on it so that the stuff can't freeze and I went is that a thing? I would think that that would make it freeze more. That's what I was thinking but I don't know. I'm reading a lot of comments about it so I don't know.
I'll see what happens. I don't particularly want to just run a sprinkler all night. No. Because I think it would over water my garden.
Yeah plus bird that would make them more cold. MIR. MIR. Their legs are gonna get cold. There's some people that were saying that last year the frost was about a week later than this the last frost.
Oh really? So yeah we're still it's still early June. I mean we can still get snow for that. Yeah don't you even say that.
I'm just saying it out loud because we could. You know what I would take the snow over the wind. You would?
I would. The wind is ridiculous. I can't even handle the wind. Yeah. Makes me very cranky. A lot of it today from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. The wind. All day wind. Wind. And then cold temperatures overnight.
So if you have a garden, if you have flowers frost warning tonight. Take care of them. Take care of them. Take care of them. Like you were sending them off to school. Take care of my baby.
Well I like flowers and I like plants and I don't want them to freeze. I know. We lost a lot about a month ago. I know. And that was frustrating because I had everything covered too and that's my fear is that I'm gonna. The coverings aren't gonna be enough.
And I'm gonna lose stuff again. I know because you have some really nice crops. I have really nice things going on. And you're really proud of it. I know.
So I'm frustrated. I'm gonna work hard to keep everything alive and then I won't know tomorrow morning when we do the show. I won't know because I'm not taking anything off until I get home later in the day. So. It's gonna be okay. We're gonna do our best. I'm gonna work really hard to get everything covered. It's gonna be tough. Gonna be tough.
But anyway, freeze warning tonight. Take care of your plants. Take care of them. Take care of them please. Send them back safe. Did you know that the 2026 World Cup is coming up?
Yes. Tomorrow is the first game. Mexico and South Africa.
Well then they also have South Korea and Chitia. Yes. I see that. Two games tomorrow.
Yes. 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Windows. Portugal play. Why do you care? No reason. I'm looking. I'm looking.
Okay. If you're interested in the World Cup, which I kind of am because I like soccer. I think it's fun to watch. Football. Yeah.
You have to watch Portugal. That will be on Wednesday the 17th of June. Okay.
Next week. Okay. They're in group K. Yes. That's correct.
Okay. We're gonna watch that one. Who are they playing?
Congo. Okay. We're watching that. That's at 11 a.m. on Wednesday the 17th. Okay. Because you know why.
Cristiano Ronaldo plays for Portugal. Yeah. And he, did you know he's 41?
A baby. He's actually gonna make history because he's gonna be the first male player to ever appear in six different World Cup tournaments. And he has stated that this will be his final World Cup. He's getting ready for retirement.
The ripe age of 41. I know. U.S. is playing Paraguay on Friday at 7 p.m.
They're in group D. Okay. What day? Friday. Friday. Who are they playing? Paraguay?
That's right. We're gonna watch. I wanna watch. You wanna watch some World Cup?
Yes, I do. Where can you watch World Cup action? I don't know. I was hoping you could just find that part out for me.
The Internet? Oh, hold on. Lionel Messi is also, this is gonna be his six World Cup too. So it's the two of them have been the longest World Cupers.
Wow. You know Lionel Messi. You know him. Everyone knows him. He's got a Lego. Everybody knows him.
Everyone. I have shoes that are messy. You do have messy shoes. Your Adidas Sambas are pink and black. And they are messy. They are messy shoes. Cool.
I'm trying to figure out you can watch on Fox and Peacock, it looks like, the games that start tomorrow. Do you think Ricky Martin's gonna come and sing the Cup of Life? No, I know. Remember when he did that?
Yes, I do. That was fun. When was that? A while ago.
The Cup of Life. No, no, I, when was it? Yeah. It was probably when Puerto Rico hosted, but let's see. That's probably, that would check out. It certainly would. Cup of Life was in 1998?
No way. I'm so old. That seems like yesterday. Does it? That seems like yesterday. I mean, he looks incredibly young on the album cover for Cup of Life.
Like, he doesn't even look like himself. Do you really want it? Now I really want to hit that song. You do? Yeah.
I want to listen to Ricky Martin Cup of Life and go watch some World Cup. Yes. Okay. I'm in it. They call that World Cup fever.
I got it. I got the World Cup Fever. And the only cure is more football. Football. Yeah. Awesome.
La Copa de la Vida. Yeah, yeah, yeah. See, let's watch.
You know, are you gonna watch the World Cup with me? Yeah. Okay.
Okay. A lot of people think soccer players play it up and they play up their injuries. When they flop? Yeah. Yeah, I get it. I've seen a lot. But I've watched basketball. I was gonna say I've watched football and basketball.
Get out of here. American football. Who is the, who's the team most likely to win? Who's the favorite team?
The projected to win? Couldn't tell you. I'm just getting into it. I know two players. Messi and Ronaldo. So it says Spain and France enter as the primary favorites to win this year's World Cup. England is right behind them in the top tier. So that's what I know about World Cup. You've named two players who are very well known.
Yes. And, and you didn't know which teams were the favorites to win. And, or where to watch it. No. And you don't know the current year's theme song, but only the one from 1998.
You are up to date on World Cup and you have got the fever. I got it. What is something that you would consider something that most people can do, but that is really difficult for other people? What? Oh, I'll just give you some examples. All right. Whistling.
Okay. So when the whole family, me, the kids, the dog, when we're all walking around the house whistling. Uh-huh.
And, and you, you feel envious of that? I can whistle. Okay.
Hold on. You do, in fact, make a whistly noise, but you're doing it. It's toothy. You're doing a tooth whistle, not a lip whistle. I think it's because I have too much teeth. No. It's because you don't know how to put your lips and tongue to work to make it work.
Okay. That's a whistle. See, you're doing a toothy whistle. You're whistling from back here with your teeth instead of up here with your lips. It doesn't feel like I'm doing that.
That's what it is. And you, and your whistle doesn't have a different tone. It's just tooth whistle, tooth whistle, tooth whistle, tooth whistle, tooth whistle, tooth whistle. It's the same one.
Non-stop. So you're unable to change pitch or do flutters or any of the fun whistling. So, uh, listen, there are people that can do that really cool two finger loud whistle. I, I can't do that. I can't do that either. My friend can do that. And she's good at it. Yeah. I'm sure I could try to learn, but sometimes I get excited to go with her to see cool things because I'm like, she's going to do it.
Really? And then she does it. I'm like, yeah, I'm with her. I'm with her.
She whistles cool. Really. That's all it takes. Snapping is another one. You can snap. Can you do both hands?
Oh, sure. My left is a little bit trickier. Rolling your tongue.
Like to make a hot dog. Yeah. You can do that. Yeah. Okay.
I'm not incapable. Wiggling your ears. Uh, not on purpose, but you ever get that like weird chills feeling and you're in like the back of your neck and you feel like your ears go, I have that where like my ears feel like they sag down. Like, whoa, it's a weird feeling.
About winking with either eye. You're good at that. Okay. Can you raise an eyebrow one at a time? Oh, see, do the other one.
Yeah. Why is the left one easier? It's weird. I don't know. Trilling your Rs.
No. Yeah, you can't do that because of being tongue tight. Yeah, your tongue tight. Which makes it hard to speak some languages when they go, roll your Rs. And I go, I can't touching your nose with your tongue.
You also can't do this. What's all this tongue stuff? Um, just two tongue things. Settle down. You went on and on and on about my whistling.
You can't touch your nose with your tongue. There. Can you? No.
Okay. How about hula hooping? Maybe if I practiced.
Yeah, it's been a long time. What's what amazes me is that it takes very little movement once you get it going. That's a, it impresses me, the hula hoop.
Yeah. Because I'm such a like, I got to move my whole body, get into it. And you don't, it's very little movement. It is very little movement.
Once you're, once you're actually going, it's little time. I have problems with my hips and that I don't have them. I have a lot of them.
Do you want some of mine? I disagree. Oh, that's nice. One nice thing. Skipping.
Rude. I have a brain disconnection. You can juggle though. I can indeed.
And you can use chopsticks. Yes. And can you do a cartwheel?
It's been a long time. I feel like if I, I used to be able to, but I feel like if I tried to do it today, I would regret that decision. So I'm going to pass on doing a cartwheel. We have a friend who thought she could do a cartwheel and she was like, watch me do this.
And then she didn't feel so good after. I feel like, I don't know what the age is, but there is an age where you go, I don't do that anymore. Yeah. I'm past that age.
It's kind of sad, isn't it? When you get to these ages where you're like, I can't do that anymore. I struggled jumping on a trampoline.
I went, I shouldn't do this anymore. Yeah. It's the same as swinging. When you're on a swing, you get a little bit sick from swinging. And I always did. You did? Yeah.
Oh, swinging was my favorite recess hobby. Nah. Go do something else. And you can roller skate. A lot of people can't roller skate.
Yeah. Roller skate. I can roller blade.
I can do that. Yeah. Can you touch your toes without bending your knees? Sure. You can?
Yeah. We're going to give that a go later. Standing, I can do it with help of gravity. Yeah, that's But if I sit down and try and reach my toes, that's harder. Well, that's without bending your knees. Yeah. If you're sitting, your knees are already bent. No.
Sit down, put your, sit on the floor, put your feet out, try and touch your toes. Oh, okay. I see what you're saying. Yeah.
Good job, Josh. You can do a lot of stuff. You can also do that dead finger thing that I really want to do. Why?
I guess it's cool. The finger snap with the, oh, yeah. It's like, when somebody says something, they burn somebody to burn. Yeah.
That's exactly what it is. I just want to burn somebody and snap my finger. Oh, well, then do it. Take that. Just relax your finger. Relax. That's the word that I'll never be able to do.
Sorry about that. I think you put it off and put it off and put it off. And then I finally said, hey, Josh, I really need you to get to, I need you to get to the plumbing. I begrudgingly. He really did.
Finished the project last night. And here's the thing. I realized that I had every, I could have done that just as easily as you could, but you're, I'm not saying this because it's, I'm trying to get you to do it all the time. I'm saying it because you are actually just good at fixing problems. Well, thanks.
You know, I like, people are like, no, you're really good at doing laundry. That's what I'm saying. Yeah.
That's not what I am saying. You're really good at fixing all the things that I break. It's fine. I didn't break it on my own.
I know. The garbage disposal a few days ago, you discovered wasn't working. When you'd hit the switch, the motor went, Hey, but nothing happened. And you decided to keep that information to yourself. No, until I would discover it myself later that day. I said to you, I go, I got some bad news for you. And then you discovered it. That's right. So I was ready to tell you. And then you discovered it all on your own.
Right. So then I thought, well, let me see if it's just something you just really hate getting on there. I hate going under the sink. I hate it. I don't, the space is too confined.
You can't work on anything. It's uncomfortable. My, it makes my body hurt.
My knees hurt. Plus also it stinks. It's just not the fun place to be. You said it smells like bad breath. It smelled like bad breath in there. It was so bad.
I was not excited. I was there to help. And anyway, did you see me? You're not hurt. I got you a pad.
You needed a flat head screwdriver. Here you go. I got you. You need a flashlight?
I'm on it. Kind of. No, I got it. I got it. It took me a minute to find it, but I got it.
Yeah. So anyway, needless to say, I took the disposal out from under the sink, plugged it in, tried to get it working, was still just making that noise, couldn't figure out what's going on, started the disassembly process because I went, I'm going to have to take this thing apart and figure out why it's jammed up. And I said, before I do that, I said, will you pull up a video of this exact thing and see if it, if it says there what you can do for a stuck motor?
So everyone knows. Do that before you remove it. You normally do do that.
I was surprised you didn't do that. Yeah, because your research there's, there's an Allen key spot on the bottom of your disposal. You can put one in there and try to manually turn it if it's jammed. And I could have done that with still all connected to everything.
I could have done that and loosened that up and then tested it and it would have been fine. I did not know that. I know that now.
We do know that now. You took that whole thing apart. I was, I was getting close to really taking it apart to figure out what was going on with the motor inside to see if I had like a weird short or something. Anyway, good job.
Needless to say. And then the hard part of holding that thing up because not lightweight. It's a heavy little pig and you got to hold it up and then turn that silly little thing to make it clamp to the sink drain. That's no fun. Anyway, that was tough. It was a lame plumbing project. It was, but you did it. And I appreciate you.
Thanks for doing that. We have a functioning disposal again. So just, hey, check that Alan Keith's spot before you take the whole thing apart. Would have been smart to do that. Watch the YouTube video before you tear things apart.
I learned something. Yesterday afternoon, I'm at the house. I'm doing my after work chores that I do.
Yes. And then I was like, I'm kind of a little bit snacky. Let me see what's going on in the fridge. And I found a cheese platter that we've had kicking around. And I was like, I'm gonna have some of that cheese.
And so I got out the cheese platter and I was snacking on a couple of pieces and I went, Hey, you know what? We've got an outside opportunity this afternoon. Maybe I'll pack a little picnic. So I said, I'm going to go harvest some radishes from the garden. I've got some blueberries in here. We've got a couple of clementines. I've got cheese.
I've got some sliced meats. I went, you know, this will be kind of fun. I'll just put together a couple of things. And then when we're outside, anyway, I'll just go, Hey, surprise picnic, have a snack. You know, it was kind of my thought process.
So I put this all together and then we were getting headed out and I threw things in a bag and you're like, what's the bag for? And I said, nothing, quit it. Yeah, you're being so weird.
Quit being so snoopy. Oh, cryptic and weird. And you said nothing. And you went, what does that mean?
I went, it means nothing. Get in the car. So we get set up, things are happening. I went, Hey, how about a little snack? And I pulled out a little Tupperware opened it up and I said, here, have some meats and cheeses.
Look, have some blueberries, radish, maybe. And that's when you said, does this count as a picnic? No, no, you said that. You said that. Okay.
I was like, this is a nice snack. Oh, thanks for doing this. That's right. And then you go, does this count as a picnic? And I went, you've been giving me a little bit of grief about having a picnic for a while. Yes.
So, so we posted a video on a reel on Instagram and Facebook. So you can go chime in if you think it was a picnic. You said it would only count if I fed you a radish. And so I did. You felt like it was a little bit like shoved it in your face, but I felt like it was nice. No, it was nice. It was a nice.
Yeah. It was like a drop. I opened my mouth and you were like, here, have it. No, I didn't drop it in.
I just think it was funny. Normally, like you feed your loved ones strawberries. We didn't have any strawberries, but I read from the garden. Good radishes too. I'm super excited about my radishes. Yeah, you should be.
They are so good. So if you want to chime in, you can watch the video there. Our daughter chimed in and said, that is not a picnic. She is, we have some comments on there from people who are like, yeah, great picnic. Other people are like, this is my favorite kind of picnic foods.
Yes. There's some good, like, yeah, this is a, this is a good picnic feedback happening. I count it as a picnic.
Our daughter does not. I know. And then she sent a photo of the little red and white squared blanket with a basket with the breads hanging out of it and all that. I said, this is a picnic. So apparently she's, she is strong in that I did not provide a picnic.
A couple of different ways to have a picnic. I appreciated, I appreciated the gesture and the thought and the, and the consideration that went into putting that all together last night. I, I considered it a picnic.
It was thoughtful and I thought it was nice. We had a little live music outside. We had a blanket. We had a couple of lawn chairs. We had a picnic. You brought some water.
Yeah, I did. I brought you a bottle of water. Isn't that nice? It was nice. It was, I considered a picnic.
Score one for Josh. I brought a picnic. Now look, I know it wasn't your like sit on a hill and, you know, out in a field and look down on the, the village or whatever you have in your head from pride and prejudice.
It's a picnic. It counted and I'll accept it. Nice, nice, nice. Thanks for your thoughtfulness. And it was nice having a, you took the clementine out and you were trying to figure out how to peel it and I got, let me peel it.
Yeah. So I filled a clementine and we shared a clementine. It was nice. It was quite sweet. The, the clementine?
Yeah. You last night were laying in the bed and I said, what you doing? I was relaxing. You were like, yeah, I'm just taking it easy for a minute. I went, that sounds nice.
Can I come live with you? So it was like five o'clock. I had just gotten home from work. I was just scrolling my phone, kind of just hanging out.
No big deal. Took a little slumber. You and I. Yeah, it took a nap. That was quite nice. It was not bad. It was the last time you had an afternoon nap. Well, last night, yesterday.
It was really nice. Yeah. Until I awoken to this. Awoken?
Yeah. I woke myself up because I did this. My mouth felt a little bit drool-y.
Yeah. Because you were laying with your head on my lap and you drooled on my knee and that's gross. You can't drool on my knee.
Get it together. Do you do this often? No.
Do you drool on your pillow? No, that was like, you were just that out. I was that relaxed and comfortable. And then I sat up and I went, oh no. You were still kind of asleep.
And I went, maybe I could try this before it wakes up. Hair dryer? No. Get it together. You started to stir and I said, sorry about that.
I drooled a little bit on your leg. Yeah. Thanks. It was a nice nap and then ruined, but drool. It didn't ruin the nap.
Okay. It ruined my nap because I was like perfectly content. And then I was like, something's wrong. Something's wrong.
My face feels wet. Yeah. Gross. Get it together. Taking a nap. Sorry about your knee.
It'll be fine. It did try it out. It did try out. Yeah. So no problems. Okay, good. That's how you know you're fine.
I tell you now you're in a good relationship. It's fine. Just a little drool. It'll be fine. I'm glad you were that comfortable. That's exciting. It was. It was a nice afternoon nap.
We need to take more of those. I did tell you later though, because yesterday I told you I'm on this kick where I spend an hour a day cleaning the house up a bit. Yesterday was supposed to be kitchen day.
No, I changed it. Yesterday was supposed to be... Well, I was going to do the kitchen, but I realized I didn't necessarily have time to do the kitchen because we had somewhere to be. And so I switched it to the bedroom because that was going to be easier. And all I had to do was do a quick dust, a vacuum, and then I would have been fine. But it didn't happen. It didn't happen because I took a nap instead.
Right. And then I ran out of time. That's all good. Yeah, it's fine.
I've already ruined the new goal I set for myself. Oh well. What do you say? Good intentions? Shantel, good intentions? That's your middle name?
That is my middle name. Yeah. Best of intentions. Yeah.
There's always today. Can't be bothered. No.
Like you eat, change your middle name? Shantel can't be bothered. It's pretty good. Shantel, there's always a nap instead. Take a nap instead? Take a nap instead.
It's nice. Give yourself an hour. Relax. It wasn't even an hour.
It was only a half an hour nap, but that's all that was needed. I couldn't keep going. I well, I could have too, but we had to be somewhere and yeah, somebody was drooling.
It wasn't me. So I guess the folks over at Amazon have figured out what book talk readers have known for years. And that is that people love seeing their favorite books come to life on screen. And so Amazon is continuing to invest heavily in turning viral books into original television series.
What are we, which one? Well, they, because of off campus and the success of that, a lot of people want to see other novels come to life. And so it says the latest adaptation, generating excitement is every year after, which is based on Carly Fortune's bestselling novel every summer after. I have that book.
Debuts today on Prime. Fans are comparing it to the summer I turned pretty because it's nostalgic summer romance vibes, lakeside setting and emotional storytelling. However, unlike the summer I turned pretty, the story isn't built around a love triangle. Instead, the book follows separate love stories. Leaving readers curious about how Amazon will adapt future installments and whether multiple books will be incorporated into the series. Hold on.
Okay. Uh, held. Every summer after, it's released today. Today on Prime, yes. I don't have Prime. I'm just telling you. Because it got mad at Amazon.
I know, I get it. Off campus every summer after and several other book talk favorites are in development. So Amazon is betting big on the young adult and romance audience that continues to dominate social media. So they're really buying in on all this book talk stuff. Yeah. Because it's huge. And turning it into live action.
Yeah. So you can watch your favorite books. I got to finish. I started, I got my sister, Anise, and I do a book exchange every Christmas. And I got every summer after in that book exchange. And I started to read it. And then I don't know what happened. I set it down. Where did I put it?
Couldn't tell you. You know, I got a new trout magazine yesterday. I'm excited to read that. I haven't taken it downstairs yet to my reading chair, but I'm working on that.
I've got the, uh, I've got the previous issue sitting there waiting for me. You don't read downstairs in the summertime. You read outside. Oh, you only read downstairs. If I go outside, I'm going to think about all the projects that I have to do and all the lilac branches I still have to put in the trailer.
And then I got to take that trailer and chill out and read to the big hole in the ground. And here's, we don't have anything on the calendar tonight. Here's what we're going to do. I'm going to find that book. Okay. You're going to get your trout magazine.
Yes. We're going to go read outside on the deck. Is it going to be windy until nine o'clock?
But, but the wind usually blows in from the side of the house, the house faces pretty okay. Usually. Okay.
Anyway, we've got a date. Me and my trout magazine. You and that book you started, but can't find. I know where it is. I think. Okay. Well, are you excited about the live action, uh, adaptations of these?
And, and more time than if they were just doing a movie. Correct. Uh, I don't know.
We started off campus. I didn't. I did.
Let's be clear. Okay. I did not. But I fell asleep. Yeah.
So I don't, and then. No, I've been watching a show about gardening and farming. That's what I've been watching. And then every time you turn on the TV, what channels it on? The garden. That garden channel.
That's right. Gardening is what we've been watching. I've been watching a lot of epic gardening. Yeah.
It's so cool. I've been learning a lot about propagating tomatoes. Yeah. And what's the other thing you've been doing where you'd merged tree branches?
I have not been doing that. What's that called though? Merging tree branches. What's it called? You know what it's called. Yeah, I know. We've been watching a lot about that.
Every time it's on, that's all I see. Oh, let's put these two tree branches together to create a new tree. That's right. Fusing? No.
I'm trying to remember what it's called. I'm going to keep stall. Stall. No, I like just listening to you type in panic. Stall, Josh.
Stall. It's called because you take. Grafting. Grafting.
The tree graft. That's what it's called. It's fascinating stuff.
Isn't it interesting though that that's how they make fruit trees? No, I actually do think it's interesting. Do I need to watch it all the time?
Nope. I feel like I've been watching so much gardening lately. I got to see what Ann of all trades is up to. I haven't checked out her channel in a little while. Did I see you real quick?
Let's see if she's got new stuff. No, here's the thing. If I 'm going to have to get prime again, Josh, and you know that I'm mad at Amazon.
I can't. She's got a new video that I haven't watched, but it's not necessarily one of the ones that I usually watch from her. So she hasn't posted like a typical video that I watch for two weeks. So that's why you haven't seen much of Ann, but she's great. I like watching her.
Yeah. Ann of all trades on YouTube is great. This is what I watch on YouTube. I watch Epic Gardening. I watch Ann of all trades.
I watch Rhett and Link. They're the Mythical Morning guys. I like those guys.
I always learn some fun stuff from them. And then I watch like a bunch of backpacking stuff, tons of stuff and fly fishing stuff. Because you turned on YouTube and I went, I never pick YouTube.
I never, as we're scrolling through our streamings, that is not one that I ever pick. Netflix. Yep.
HBO. Sure. Yeah.
And we've got like a hard drive that's got some stuff on it. And I go, yep, I'll pick those. I'll never pick YouTube. And you go, why not? I go, there's great stuff.
Nothing for me to watch on there. You just need to find some people you like. And here's what you said to me. You go, oh, you can learn so much stuff. Don't you want to learn stuff? And I go, no, I want to not think.
I want to turn on a show and not have to think about anything. Fine. No, I don't want to learn about stuff.
Get out of here. YouTube. Teaching me stuff all the time. This weekend, doing some adventuring and going to be where fish live. And so I was going to check with you to see if you wanted to do some fishing this weekend. And then this is when you usually go, but I don't have a license. And I say, well, that's fine. You don't need one this weekend because it's free fishing. Yeah.
Yeah. June 13th, just three days away is free fishing day, which is exciting. So it takes place annually on the second Saturday in June. Idaho's free fishing day. They say is a day to celebrate fishing in Idaho, and no fishing license is required. Now that doesn't mean it's a fishing free for all.
You still have to follow the regulations, the rules for certain waterways and tributaries and stuff. So you have to know exactly where you can go fishing, but there are different events throughout the state where they will have a limited number of loner rods and reels. So you can try fishing if you've never tried before. A great time to take the kids out and let them experience some fishing. I'll tell you across East Idaho, the Bannock Reservoir Wellness Complex in Pocatello is a place where you can go. And from 10 until two, they will be set up there with a limited number of fishing poles that they'll be giving away to kids 14 and under while supplies last. And they have some different information about fishing. So again, in Pocatello, that's happening at the Bannock Reservoir Wellness Complex in Idaho Falls at Ryder Park Pond.
From nine until one, they'll have that going on. And there's a whole bunch of stuff all over the state. So no matter where you are, there's some different things that you can take place in. Take advantage of. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Here's, I bought a fishing license a couple of years ago, and we even bought, there was a really good... You would have waders and boots and everything. I do. Yeah. I absolutely do. And you look cute in them.
Thanks, Josh. Did you wear them more often? They're really nice. They are really nice. And I actually enjoy being in the water.
It's pretty relaxing and calm and cool. And then sometimes you take me to very... I made a mistake. Get your areas.
You guys listen. I took her to a place where you have to hike in and out of and it was pretty steep. Not just hike. It was a pretty complex... It's pretty steep.
Yeah. And what's crazy about that whole thing is I took you there because I was thinking, it'll be easier than this other place that I know is super steep. It was the same steep. It was just as steep as the place I tried to avoid.
So I need to take you somewhere else. So every year since... That was what, two years ago? Yeah, it's like a couple years. The last couple of years, I'm like, well, I want to try again, but I don't want to spend money on a fishing license if I'm only going to go like a handful of times. So every year when the free fishing day comes around, I'm like, great opportunity for me to try it again and see if I actually want to invest in a fishing license.
Yeah. So Saturday is free fishing day. Saturday is the day. Saturday is the day where you can go and you can fish different fisheries around the state for free without having a license, which is cool. So you can try out fishing.
That's sort of what really kind of sparked my interest in it was a day like this in what, 2018, something like that? And I was like, I want to try fishing. And so I said, I'm just going to get some basic gear and just try fishing again. And so I got a spinner reel and rod combo and a few little things to try fishing. And then I remembered why I didn't like fishing. It was because it was a lot of waiting around.
And I was like, this is not it. So I tried baitcaster fishing and tried fishing for bass. And I had limited success, very, very limited success. I only caught two bass the whole time I was trying that, went out on boats.
I tried a bunch of different stuff. I was not great at that. And then fly fishing found me and I went, this is it. And I have not looked back since.
It was about 2018, 2019. And it's been a great, great, great adventure for me. So I want to get you into it so you can, you can adventure with me. But I got to take you to places that aren't- I don't necessarily need to adventure with you. It's fine if we have our own separate hobbies though too. I understand. But it's cool getting out there. And you're fine sitting in the woods and reading while I wander around and fishing.
That's fine too. But it'd be fun to fish with you. It is fun to fish.
I actually don't mind it. I've got a picture of you holding a fish and you're very excited about it. It's quite a thrill.
It is exciting to catch them. Be like, oh, you got my, you liked what I had to offer. Plus also, I really just want to go out fishing with you and just out fish you.
You will. Women out fish men all the time because women set the hook more often and catch more fish. I want to catch more fish for you.
That's a fact. The first time you took me out, I was like, please, please, please, please, please let me catch more fish than him. Please, please, please.
So rude. But I'd be very excited for you. It would be very exciting to get you out on the water and get you doing some fishing. It'd be cool.
Well, Saturday's today. I got to get you licensed for that, but I got to get you on a drift boat float trip. I think you'd really enjoy that. Can I just get on a, can I just get on like a motor boat?
That's a totally different thing. I don't want to be on a trip boat. Why? Because I just want to be on a motor boat, like relaxing on a motor boat. You got to relax on a drift boat.
It's a whole thing. It's hours of just floating down. You get to look at nature. You get to fish. Yeah, but sometimes they're like, hey, will you take a turn paddling?
And I go, I don't think anybody's going to say you need to drive the boat. Why? Because you've never done it. No, I would be terrible at it. What if this is your thing? What if flyfish guide is the thing that you're like super good at? Fish over there. Yes. Let's go get them and I'll row everybody over there. Yeah, I'm not asking you to drive the boat.
I just saw that. I don't know what you were skiing. What motion was that? You were skiing. You were using ski poles. That was paddles, bro. Those are my oars.
Bro. See, I'll, you're doing a lot of head, neck movement. Let me take a turn. Let me take a turn paddling. We're going to go in circles. We're going to end up in an eddy. It's going to be really bad.
I'm going to go, you need to avoid that rock and you're going to go, what rock? That's what's going to happen. Yep. That is what's going to happen. You're right. We're going to run a ground and have to get out and move the boat.
It's going to be crazy. Our ship ran a ground. Yeah. Well, anyway, enjoy free fishing day this Saturday. If you get a chance to go out, you can check out the Idaho fishing game website. They've got a bunch of information, all those locations and times for where you can go throughout the state and how you can get in on that giveaway. So you could get, you know, for kids 14 and under while supplies last, they'll have a limited number of fishing poles.
And if I'm not mistaken, I saw one giveaway where they had like really cool little like starter tackle boxes and stuff too with some gear. Cool. Yeah. Really, really super cool. So I don't know if that's going to be available at every location, but it's cool.
And if you can score a free rod for your kid and then they can go fishing, that's great. Oh yeah. That's awesome.
In the state of Idaho, if you're 13 and under, you don't need a license. That's right. Yep.
You don't have to have a license till you're 14. Cool. Let's go.
But you have to be with a licensed Pearson. Let's go fishing, Josh. Saturday.
Okay. Do you have a pole for me? A rod? A pole?
Do you have a rod that I can borrow? Yes. Do I have to bring my waders? No, we're not taking waders. Okay. Because we're going to be backpacking to where we're going to be fishing.
So we'll be bank fishing. Okay. Okay. Sweet.
Okay. We've been sleeping with our window open because it's just a nice cool breeze at night. It is nice.
Yeah. Except the magpies. The magpies have got to go. They were on one this morning because there was a cat in the backyard and they decided that they wanted to make a bunch of noise about there being a cat. I've never seen you jump out of bed so fast. Well, here's why. I knew you were going to tell us. I'll tell you why because I've been doing some research this morning on how to prevent critters like squirrels, chipmunks, mice, raccoons, and birds from ruining my corn crop. Every day I go into the backyard and it looks like someone's been digging in the corn area. And I've decided the reason that I only have three corn seeds that have sprouted is because I think critters are stealing my corn. So I was learning a little bit about ways to prevent critters from stealing my corn because I think I'm going to have to put new seeds in after the frost because the soil has got to be a warm temperature. The soil has to be like 50 to 60 degrees before the seeds will properly germinate.
And so I don't have a soil thermometer but that's something that I am interested in getting. Nerd. What? Garden nerd. Anyway, so I was thinking to myself, I'll bet you it's the magpies that have been stealing my corn seeds. And so I jumped out of bed because I wanted to catch a magpie in the act. That was what I thought I was going to see.
I did not think I was going to see the magpie making all that noise and sort of dive bombing the cat that wandered in the backyard, which I also don't like. Were they dive bombing him? Yeah. I did not see that. There was one and he was going ah, ah, ah, ah, yeah.
And then swiping down at the cat that was nearby. The magpies. You got to go. The magpies.
Why are you waking up so early? Quit making all that racket. The early magpie gets the corn seed, I guess. The early magpie gets the chantel cranky.
This is true. I don't like it. And I wake up and I go, magpie. They've always made me cranky. I know they do. You don't like the magpies.
I don't. They're really cool birds. They're too noisy.
I understand. They're from the crow family. So they have a lot of similar aspects to them in the way that they can figure out puzzles.
And they're very smart birds. I have a co-worker who has a crow in her. She just planted some garden seedlings. There was a crow in her garden and she was mad at the crow because she didn't want the crow getting her seedlings.
So she sprayed it with a water bottle. And I said, you've just made an enemy for life. You created it. Because crows don't forget. They remember you.
Yeah, they remember your face. I know. I said, if you bring your gifts, it'll bring you gifts. Be nice to that crow. That crow is forever and forever and is going to hate you now. You sprayed it with a spray bottle.
I said, bad decision. Did she get close enough to spray it with a spray bottle? Yeah, she said that it was right next to her and it nipped at her finger, which is why she sprayed it with the water bottle. And I went, oh, if I had a crow that close to me, I'd be handing it peanuts. Same. I would be, I want to be friends with a crow. Me too.
That is cool. That's what I told her. She ruined that friendship. I know. I know. I told her that too, Josh.
I said, woohoo. I think it would be awesome to have a crow friend. I think it would be really, that would be a meaningful relationship. Not that I don't have many, just that that would be a special one. I would be very, I would like to have a crow friend that would come and visit and I could hand him peanuts and stuff.
I know. I want a crow friend too. I think that would be cool. Can you do that with a magpie? I don't know. I haven't ever seen people be friend magpies. I'm sure it's a thing, but it, you know, I want to put out a crow feeder.
Okay. And it's basically a flat box, like a little flat top that you can put different fruits and nuts and stuff on. And then you can leave little shiny objects for them and stuff. Let's do that. I want to do that. I want to do that too. I just have to build one.
You can, you can be friend magpies like you can crows. Okay. They're members of the Corvid family.
Yeah. I knew they were similar, but they recognize the same thing that crows do. They recognize faces and they remember who brings them treats. Cool.
And they even share their trust with their offspring. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. She created an enemy for generations. I know. Like they are not, she has got crow enemies, which is not what I want.
Okay. So here's what you can do if you want to be friend a magpie since we have those and not crows. Why have crows around? Unsalted peanuts in the shell.
Yes, I'm saying. Cat kibble or meal worms do not eat them bread. Okay. And then I'm going to build that little flat top thing for them.
I have all the parts. And then it says do it, give them the treats in the same general area at the same time each day so they can link your face with receiving a reward. Perfect. Avoid here to scary.
Avoid sudden movements or looking directly in their eyes. That's crazy. That's crazy. That's really scary. It also says set out like a bird bath to give them fresh water.
Yeah. Do not. I want to get one of the big bird baths. I want a large one. I do too.
I think those are really neat. Don't look in their eyes. They are, it does say that they're less trusting than crows and they're much more skittish. They, I think so. I think they, they fly away easier. Okay. So maybe if we befriend the magpies, they'll be a little bit quieter in the morning.
Perhaps. I don't care. I'm not going to give them treats in the morning.
I would give them treats in the afternoon so that they would go, we don't go to the house till the afternoon. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Smart.
Yeah. Don't look them in the eye. What will happen? Pack them out.
That's ostrich job. Taylor Swift's wedding is coming up. Do you know when? July 1st? No way.
I think I saw that somewhere. Like less than a month away. Because I don't think that, I don't think it's been announced has it?
Okay. It's rumored, here's what I read. It's rumored to be on July 3rd at Madison Square Garden. With around. She's going to get married at Madison Square Garden.
Uh-huh. Because she's going to have around 1200 guests. I doubt she's getting married at Madison Square Garden. That's what I've heard. No way.
From multiple sources. No way she's not doing that like a garden thing. Okay.
That's, there's no way that's what's happening. She showed up at the premiere for, uh, for Toy Story 5. Have you seen the dress she was wearing on the red carpet?
No. Oh, it's blowing up the internet right now with all the speculation. Everything she does, every move she makes, everyone thinks is a calculated thing. But it is, isn't it? Like, is it? She's come out to say that before. So, uh, she is dressed in this all white, uh, dress that has, it's, it's a really pretty dress. And she's got two different fabrics, kind of, maybe three different fabrics sewn into it. Uh, and it's a cool dress. If you just look up some images, you'll see. Um, if you can see the, there's like a full body front photo here where you can see she's got, it's kind of got, um, it's a whimsy dress, I guess is what they're saying. But it's got several different fabrics sewn into it. It's a really cool looking dress, but it kind of gives this sort of, uh, spring wedding vibe is what they're talking about.
Okay. Now it is from a British luxury fashion labels fall 2026 ready to wear collection. So it, it wasn't something that was designed specifically for her, but it's something that she decided to wear to the, this is from my ready to wear collection. That's right. That's right. Okay.
Um, she has reportedly asked two friends of hers to be her bridesmaids. Okay. Want to take a guess who? Um, I could speculate.
Go for it. Uh, is Selena Gomez one of them? Correct. Yes.
Okay. I'm not surprised by that one. I'm trying to figure out who the other one is. Uh, is it a male? No. Okay. Um, because that would be definitely up her, uh, in, in her, uh, whatever, house, whatever, yeah, whatever the right word is. Um, it would be, uh, something she would do.
Um, the other one has got to be, you might have been thinking maybe Blake live. No, I think there's enough drama going on there. Yeah.
That she wouldn't do that. No, they're on, they're fighting. Yeah. But she's friends with lots of people. She is. So the other one is, uh, Gigi Hadid. Oh, really interesting.
I didn't know they had like a thing. Maybe Haley Williams would have been a pick because a Paramore open for her era's tour a lot. I don't think they're necessarily friends. They are, they are good friends.
Not. And all of the people that were in the, uh, what's the, uh, bad blood video, uh, there was a lot of people Haley included in that video. Uh, so anyway, that's interesting.
Those are just the two that they've rumored to be her brides. Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if you see who would you guess to be groomsmen, his bro.
Yeah. Patrick's got to be a groomsman, right? Oh, I was thinking his brother. So Jason's got to be there and then Mahomi's.
Yeah. He's got to have his Mahomi. Jason's got to be his best man, right?
He's got to have his brother be his best man. I don't know. Do you gotta? Yeah.
You don't gotta do anything. Is coach Reed, uh, groomsmen? Too much mustache. Or just his mustache.
Yeah. Just his mustache in a suit. If coach Reed gets invited to the wedding, I hope he doesn't even take off his jacket, his. He's just wearing his got a red coat. It's just a red tuxedo with a chief's logo. It's the only outfit I know.
I didn't want to rent anything. I had this. It's good enough. I wear this. Your luckier took off my headset.
What if he didn't? That's funny. Uh, I don't know, but have you found a date? July 3rd is the only one I've found. She's a big 4th of July, um, big 4th of July fan.
Huge. It is still reportedly planned for July 3rd, but I don't know. Neither Swift nor Kelsey have officially confirmed the details.
Okay. But here everywhere I see is that they are going to do it in that entertainment tonight says that the couple has reportedly booked out Madison square garden for the occasion. I don't know. Somewhere between 1100 and 1200 guests, including Benson Boone. Why is he on the like notable list?
A guest list suggests a massive event will host between 1100 and 1200 guests with notable names like Benson Boone and Carly Claus. Oh yeah? I don't even know who Carly Claus is.
That's how out of touch I am. But can you imagine 1200 guests get out of here? No. No. Okay. Here's the deal.
Here is why people are speculating Madison square garden is the better location. I don't think it visually fits her style. I don't think that's what she ultimately wants. And to be honest, they could do a private ceremony and probably would with just like a small group of people and then they would do the spectacle one that the people want. And that one's got to be at Madison square garden where it can be videoed and photographed and secure.
Right? That's probably the bigger deal is that they need to be able to have the security in place for this type of an event. Interesting. Interesting. That's to wait for my invitation.
Yeah. What's going on? Travis, come on. We were going to work on our beef. It's a one sided beef. It's a lean beef, but it's a beef nonetheless. You have a lean beef Travis.
I do. But you were going to make amends. You were going to water under the bridge at the wedding. Yeah, but I got to get an invite first. He's got to invite me first. And he's got to also pay for my travel accommodations to New York. My travel and lodging accommodations. Wow.
That's a lot to ask. That's the only way this beef is going to get squashed. It's an olive branch. It's an olive tree you're asking for. Good grief.
Hey, when you got that much money, that's a drop in the bucket. If we got the invite or you got the invite plus one and I was your plus one. So we get the invite, which is really very unlikely.
But if in the event, we got a little bit of extra seats. Yeah. Yes. We would find a way to get there.
Oh yeah. If we got the invite, we'd find a way to get there. Oh, for sure we would.
So even if he doesn't pay for travel and lodging. Travis, it's the least you could do buddy. Come on for your old pal.
Lean beef over here. Would you rather this or that? Would you rather have oven mitts for hands or snow boots for feet? Oven mitts for hands or snow boots? Snow boots for feet. Yeah. Clomping around all day or I think I'm going with snow boots.
I'm going to be clomping around all day. Because you got to be able to type and run your phone. You can't do that with oven mitt hands. Well, and I want to be able to do my hair and my makeup.
You'd find a way. The dexterity. You just be like having mittens. You'd have one thumbs.
Yeah. And then you would have all hands. I know how oven mitts work. You could still do stuff. You can put on headphones and take headphones off. I can hold my phone. It's like they'd be like Barbie hands. But if I I'd have my thumb so I could do that. But can I type? Like I'd have to use just a couple of swipes. It's a little awkward.
But I'd find a way to make it work. They're not stationary. I can still squeeze things and move stuff around. See now that I'm thinking about snow boots though, I go no because I want to be able to plump.
I don't want to clump around everywhere. Okay. Here's a question I have for both things.
Okay. Are they actual oven mitts? Yes. No, listen, you didn't hear the other option.
Okay. Or are they skin just shaped like oven mitts? And I'm going to say the same thing about snow boots. Are they snow boots on my feet or are my feet shaped like snow boots but they're skin feet? Oh, geez Louise.
You're asking real hard questions. It's horrendous looking feet. We're going to say it's skin. Ew. Gross. I'm taking oven mitt hands. I can't have snow boot looking feet.
I just can't. I'm taking the snow boots because I want my fingers. No way. I'll figure out how to make the hands work.
I'm not going to have snow boot looking feet. No way. Okay. We're going to make a cute pair. Yep.
Snow boot feet and oven mitt hands. Here we come. What did we decide? About what? You just said, how do we want to end this? So I'm asking, what did we decide? Oh, I was talking about, are you talking about the show?
How do we end the show today? I was talking about our relationship. Whoa. Let me tell you. Here's a conversation that was had over the weekend with some coworkers. Someone asked, hey, is it ever weird in the studio? Like, do you ever have like stuff going on? And then you have to like be on when you open the microphone.
Rally it on up. And you were like, yeah, there's times where I'm upset and it'll be real quiet between when we talk. And then we'll go on air and we'll talk.
And then the mics turn off and it's real quiet again. And I got to tell you that has stirred up a couple of people in the office to go, I want to be a fly on the wall when you two are having a day. And I went, I don't know when that's ever happening.
I'm oblivious. And they were like, what do you mean? I said, we don't normally, like we talk on air and then like we'll talk when we're like have other stories about stuff that's going on at work or like just normal like stuff that we're talking about. Like behind the scenes. That's what I'm talking about. Like when the mics are off, what are we talking about?
And the mic is just life stuff. Like stuff with the kids stuff we got to be done, you know, to do lists, whatever. We'll watch videos. I'll watch a TikTok.
I'll be like, look at this or you'll watch a video and you'll be like, hey, come check this out. Right. We're just hanging out. Just normal stuff. We're just hanging out, right?
Yeah. So on the rare occasion that you're upset about something and you're just silent, I don't know that it's any different than a regular day and you're all spiraled out about it. And then, and you'll be like, yeah, well, I didn't say anything all morning. And you should have noticed I was being quiet or whatever.
Yeah. So I yesterday came up in the hallways are like, I would like to see like, what is that, what is that energy like? And I said, that energy is like one person in the room knows something's wrong and the other person just thinks it's Tuesday.
That's what that energy is like. So it's not like it's tense or anything. It's just me not understanding that I'm wrong about something. That's how it goes. Yeah, that checks out. Yeah. That's spot on. Yeah. And you'll go, like we finished talking and then you'll be like, I'm just gonna look at my phone. And I'm like, that's the same thing you do any day. I don't know what's different. You should know when I'm I'm like, I feel like I'm short with you and I'm like clipped in the fact that it just feels normal.
No, I you have to feel it some of the time. I don't know. Wow. So okay, I just not that I'm not that I'm dense, but also like, just lay it out there. Just tell me like, oh, I'm upset today and I'll go okay, about what? And you'll go, I won't talk about it right now. Okay, then I'm just gonna do the normal thing then.
Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna lay it on a little bit thicker next time. What's that mean? Oh, that means I'm just gonna straight out tell you what's happening. Okay, I am mad.
Where did that accent come from? I am mad. I am human. Yeah. There because she asked the co-worker who asked is she said, what's it like when like, do you do you guys go to bed mad and then you wake up and then you're mad at the show? I go, yeah, sometimes. And then sometimes I won't be mad in the morning, but like something that you've done or said or something has made me mad during the show.
And then I'm like, now I have to like put my headphones on and act like everything's okay. When did that happen? Oh, that's happened multiple times. When what did I say? I don't remember.
Yeah, exactly. Was it worth it? Come on. That's what's really going on behind the scenes around here. Not always. In case you were wondering. But usually behind the scenes, we're just like hanging out.
We'll be like, well, I'm gonna go to the restroom. Yeah, I know. Okay. And then you're like, Oh, will you bring a spoon back? Yeah, I gotta eat this cottage cheese, but I forgot I forgot a spoon.
Would you grab me one from the break room? Thanks. You've read the whole cottage cheese. Yeah, I know. I've been hearing about it for days. I had it in here yesterday. And a couple people came this dude, they're like, you just eaten like a whole bucket of cottage cheese. Now that's all you eat. And I went, I had this for breakfast.
It's fine. It's just some cottage cheese. It's so much easier to just bring the thing and eat some spoon fulls out of it than it is to put it in another bowl. We shared. It was cute this morning. Yeah. I was like, okay, I have some of that. Yeah.
Yeah. Share that bucket. So I don't have any like fruit or honey or anything. It's just cottage cheese. But yeah, if you want to take a few bites, and then guess what you said to me and I've been upset about it since. Yeah, you didn't even know, did you? I've been upset because you said, I'm going to get another spoon.
Is that okay? And then threw my spoon away like I was done. You told me you told me you were upset. I knew you were upset. You said I was going to use that again. And I went, okay, it's gone. And then you were over it. Yeah. Maybe I'm still fuming.
Get over it, man. That's how we're going to wrap up the show today. Thanks for hanging out with us. We'll be back tomorrow. Tomorrow's Thursday. Believe that or not.
I believe it. Freeze warning tonight. So make sure you cover up your garden, protect your plants, and watch out for that wind all day today from now until 9 p.m. Hurray. Hurray. Have a good Wednesday. We'll see you back here tomorrow.
