00:00:08 Kevin
Good evening, gang.
00:00:09 Kevin
Kevin here, Life 22.
00:00:11 Kevin
And like a phoenix from the flame, I have returned.
00:00:15 Kevin
I have returned.
00:00:16 Kevin
I am amongst the living.
00:00:17 Kevin
Not that I wasn't, I'm sure.
00:00:20 Kevin
Well, I guess that depends.
00:00:23 Kevin
That depends on what your definition of living is, right?
00:00:26 Kevin
Consciousness.
00:00:27 Kevin
Every time I fall asleep, I'm unconscious.
00:00:30 Kevin
To some people, it might not be that you're alive.
00:00:34 Kevin
Anyways,
00:00:35 Kevin
Not to get into a whole March for Life type argument with you today, but this is day two of our 5th February.
00:00:46 Kevin
So I'm going to check in with you guys, see how fit you are, see if you've been working out, see if you got your walk in.
00:00:51 Kevin
Did you get your run in with your dog this morning?
00:00:54 Kevin
I hope you didn't have a run in with a dog this morning.
00:00:57 Kevin
And then, you know, just checking in, you know, and the weight of the world is very stressful.
00:01:04 Kevin
So today,
00:01:05 Kevin
Tonight, this evening, I want to discuss with you stress, but then also back at it with that motivational Monday.
00:01:12 Kevin
I know it's evening and it's already through your Monday and hopefully this pushes you through to Tuesday.
00:01:18 Kevin
But I wanted to just kind of talk with you.
00:01:23 Kevin
Just some goals that I'm setting.
00:01:24 Kevin
Every month when we do one of these themes, it's kind of like a rebirth for me and I just have to keep at it.
00:01:29 Kevin
Every month I add something new to my plate and
00:01:32 Kevin
At the beginning of every month, I have to remind myself like, okay, now you need to count everything because like last month you didn't do this, this, this, this, this, or that.
00:01:42 Kevin
And I want to make sure that we are, that I'm getting to all of it, right?
00:01:48 Kevin
So I do a lot of like, you know, product reviews and so I do those.
00:01:56 Kevin
and they have a tendency to pile up and I have, the multiple businesses and they have a tendency to have their own workloads and stresses and then there's, family life, right?
00:02:06 Kevin
in each one of the kids and then they need their own attention and then the spouse and she needs her attention.
00:02:11 Kevin
And so there's just a lot of things to tend to.
00:02:14 Kevin
And then there's my own personal health, which is, staying fit, mental clarity, mental health, which is doing this.
00:02:22 Kevin
And so, and sometimes, sometimes you forget about, sometimes you forget about that mental health.
00:02:30 Kevin
And so, over the last couple of months, I was kind of gung-ho about it, and then it kind of fades away as you start taking on more responsibilities, tasks, and attending to other things that you have going on.
00:02:40 Kevin
There are a lot of stresses in life.
00:02:44 Kevin
And so I want to start making sure that I'm at least doing, like,
00:02:47 Kevin
I'd like to do a daily video, right?
00:02:49 Kevin
That's my goal.
00:02:50 Kevin
If I don't achieve my goal, like it's not the end of the world.
00:02:52 Kevin
You don't just give up when you, you know, I'm going to work out every day when I skip a day and then it's game over.
00:02:59 Kevin
You know, I know a lot of people have that mentality.
00:03:01 Kevin
And then my second nature in the back of my head, that always usually ends up happening.
00:03:05 Kevin
And with that, I like, because it does.
00:03:09 Kevin
That's why I haven't skipped a workout in
00:03:12 Kevin
in three months, right?
00:03:14 Kevin
Like I have not skipped one because if I skip a day, well, why can't I skip tomorrow?
00:03:19 Kevin
Why can't I skip the next day, right?
00:03:21 Kevin
Like, why can't you skip?
00:03:24 Kevin
So you don't, right?
00:03:25 Kevin
Like, yeah, and so it's one of those things.
00:03:31 Kevin
And then like, you know, I cheat on my diet a little bit, right?
00:03:35 Kevin
And the more I cheat, the more I want to cheat.
00:03:36 Kevin
And what I have to do is I have to reset.
00:03:39 Kevin
And when I come back and I reset with those dietary habits,
00:03:44 Kevin
good things happen.
00:03:45 Kevin
Brain fog goes away, all that other stuff.
00:03:49 Kevin
Like I've lost 25 pounds in three months.
00:03:52 Kevin
My doctor, I love my doctor because I kind of came in and he was like, oh, and in the nicest way possible, he fat shamed my ***.
00:04:02 Kevin
And that's, I mean, I appreciate it because I call it that.
00:04:05 Kevin
And he probably would say he was not fat shaming me.
00:04:09 Kevin
I call it fat shaming.
00:04:10 Kevin
And it's a good thing.
00:04:11 Kevin
It's healthy, right?
00:04:12 Kevin
And he fat shamed me.
00:04:13 Kevin
And he was like, I'll see you in six months.
00:04:15 Kevin
Hopefully you can lose 20 pounds.
00:04:17 Kevin
And I lost 25 pounds in like the first month of him saying it.
00:04:22 Kevin
Within like 3 weeks, I lost 15 pounds.
00:04:26 Kevin
And then I've gradually been like, I was 20 pounds in the first month.
00:04:31 Kevin
You know, in the first two or three weeks, it was 15 pounds.
00:04:33 Kevin
Within a month, it was 20.
00:04:36 Kevin
And then it's been hovering between 20 and 25.
00:04:39 Kevin
And I just hit the 25 mark the other day, but it's been slow.
00:04:42 Kevin
And then I cheated on my diet a little bit and went up by a couple pounds.
00:04:44 Kevin
You know what I mean?
00:04:45 Kevin
So it's one of those things.
00:04:46 Kevin
So the less I cheat, the less weight I'll lose.
00:04:48 Kevin
And then if I keep, you know, doing physical activity to handling the workloads of rental properties and things like that, you build them muscles that Popeye has, eat your spinach.
00:04:58 Kevin
So that's a very, very good thing to do, right?
00:05:00 Kevin
Like build a ship, eat your spinach.
00:05:03 Kevin
That's the, that is the Popeye way.
00:05:06 Kevin
Eat your spinach, that's being healthy, and handle your workload, right?
00:05:10 Kevin
And that's shipbuilding.
00:05:12 Kevin
That's what Popeye did, him and Popeye.
00:05:15 Kevin
And look at them, like roid raged monsters.
00:05:19 Kevin
So, but yeah, with handling all this stuff and doing all these scheduling and all these different things that you have to do in your life, life gets stressful and it builds on you, it weighs on you.
00:05:31 Kevin
And what you need to do is you need to rely on the support structure of your friends.
00:05:36 Kevin
and your family and your significant others, and maybe not so much your children.
00:05:42 Kevin
You can if they're older, right?
00:05:44 Kevin
But you wouldn't like, just like, I wouldn't like, boohoo my business grievings to like, my 10 year old.
00:05:51 Kevin
Just, she's not, she's not built for that yet, right?
00:05:54 Kevin
Like she's, in construction, right?
00:05:57 Kevin
In that department.
00:05:58 Kevin
But you just wouldn't put that on a child, especially because you're supposed to be, you know, if you're in my shoes, you're supposed to be, you know,
00:06:04 Kevin
the man, right?
00:06:07 Kevin
You're not supposed to, you're not supposed to cry in front of your kids.
00:06:10 Kevin
You know, you're not supposed to, you're not supposed to cry in front of your spouse.
00:06:16 Kevin
You're supposed to like keep that **** to a minimum because they're supposed to respect you and it's hard to respect somebody who's crying in front of you.
00:06:24 Kevin
So that said, you know, you got to rely on your friends.
00:06:28 Kevin
And
00:06:31 Kevin
I had a couple people in my life that have been kind of lacking at this and it's been, it's added more stress, right?
00:06:36 Kevin
Like, I call a friend, I lean on him, says that, hey, like, let's have a chat.
00:06:43 Kevin
doesn't answer his phone for the chat, but then, has the time to Barbie on the internet.
00:06:49 Kevin
And it's like, you try to reach out to him and it's just like crickets and quips, right?
00:06:55 Kevin
Like, it's like, no answer is a phone call, but, you know, send a quip.
00:06:59 Kevin
right?
00:06:59 Kevin
And I reached out to another friend because it stresses me out even more when a friend is part of your, somebody who's part of your support structure, somebody who's supposed to be your friend, has one of these, just doesn't hold up to being a friend.
00:07:23 Kevin
And I, so this other friend of mine today tells me, he goes, Kev, you're,
00:07:28 Kevin
you're putting too much faith in people.
00:07:33 Kevin
Which, and I was like, how so?
00:07:36 Kevin
Like he goes, because you're giving everybody the benefit of the doubt all the time.
00:07:40 Kevin
And he goes, not everybody's wired like you, man.
00:07:43 Kevin
Like he goes, I know that if I called you any time of day, like you'd come over and, you know, my house could be under siege.
00:07:51 Kevin
You would like die trying to save my family and get them out of the house.
00:07:54 Kevin
And I'm like, that's what I do for my friends.
00:07:56 Kevin
And he goes, not all people, not all of you put too much onus on other people.
00:08:04 Kevin
And so while you consider somebody your friend, they may not have that same diehard metric, maybe be specifically, and then that's no pun intended with the diehard either.
00:08:16 Kevin
But like, may not have that, I guess, maybe pun intended, right?
00:08:19 Kevin
The unintended, but effective.
00:08:22 Kevin
But like,
00:08:23 Kevin
you might not have that same aspect.
00:08:26 Kevin
They might not show you or anybody that same aspect to friendship where you would, die trying, because they're your friend.
00:08:38 Kevin
And it's like, yeah, I guess that's right.
00:08:40 Kevin
And he goes, yeah, you should, you need to start like reflecting on people that you consider your friends and only you can choose the company that you keep.
00:08:49 Kevin
And it's just, good advice.
00:08:51 Kevin
I'm sure I'm sure I'll pull through with this other friend.
00:08:54 Kevin
I feel like now I'm venting to you guys, but which in essence it is, you know, it is, it's a vent, right?
00:09:01 Kevin
Like, but these are the struggles, right?
00:09:02 Kevin
This is what the channel is about.
00:09:04 Kevin
The channel is about, originally this channel was about me filming my life because my life was always so crazy.
00:09:10 Kevin
And I am just an average Joe, but like in life, you can't make this **** up.
00:09:15 Kevin
And maybe because of all the **** that I just kind of like ADHD my *** into, that like, a lot of it is brought upon me because I bring it upon myself.
00:09:27 Kevin
And so then all of a sudden it's like, well, how did that happen?
00:09:30 Kevin
It's like, well, you're the one who chose to hang out with, you know, vinegar and baking soda, Kev, like, and then it's like, yeah, you're right, you're right.
00:09:39 Kevin
100% right.
00:09:41 Kevin
So
00:09:44 Kevin
With that said, so getting back to, there was my little vent about stresses and friendship, but I wanted to also, I also wanted to fill in the viewer, man, on what else we've got going on in the channel, because election season is coming up.
00:10:05 Kevin
We've got, I'd like to start ramping up.
00:10:08 Kevin
I've got, I've got a, and that's another thing.
00:10:10 Kevin
I've got a backlog of like common council meetings.
00:10:13 Kevin
Like I caught the state of the city address and I did not give you any of my take on it.
00:10:18 Kevin
I did not give you, know, my play by play.
00:10:22 Kevin
And that was my goal for this year was to start like just giving you back to Kevin's political, you know, commentary on a lot of this stuff.
00:10:30 Kevin
I don't know if I'm going to like do what I've done in the past and just sit through
00:10:35 Kevin
like an entire school board meeting, I might pull highlights.
00:10:40 Kevin
I might reference clips, but I definitely, and then make them into shorter clips.
00:10:46 Kevin
Like you're just, you're not going to see a whole like boom, boom, boom, boom, Kevin's best of, you're going to see maybe a, you know, a clip and a Kevin's take on it.
00:10:54 Kevin
And versus, so I'm going to watch the whole thing and I'm going to give you the highlights.
00:10:59 Kevin
But things like that, I have a whole backlog.
00:11:01 Kevin
I have, you know, like
00:11:03 Kevin
the last three or four council meetings that I've just, I've missed.
00:11:07 Kevin
And, so I'm gonna try to catch up on stuff like that.
00:11:10 Kevin
And, the state of the city address, so just, and the school board now, that's a cool thing.
00:11:16 Kevin
They're starting to film their meetings again.
00:11:19 Kevin
I believe they have one, I think they have one or two meetings a month.
00:11:24 Kevin
They don't do their committees, you know.
00:11:27 Kevin
And I'll look more into that because it's just, it's one of those, like, I'll go back to giving you highlight clips of those.
00:11:31 Kevin
I'm gonna listen to those and
00:11:33 Kevin
catch up on them.
00:11:33 Kevin
They do enjoy like knowing what our public school district is trying to force down our kids' throats or what they're trying to do through the aperture of the state.
00:11:44 Kevin
So, but all right, guys, it's been 11 minutes.
00:11:48 Kevin
I went on longer today ranting about stuff than I did on February.
00:11:53 Kevin
But what are you going to do?
00:11:54 Kevin
So we'll see you guys tomorrow.
00:11:58 Kevin
On life 22, I gotta get like hot keys or something, so I don't have to, you don't have to see me like not breaking eye contact.
00:12:05 Kevin
Deuces, see?
