Alright, let's get back to the episode.
The business model is perhaps the most important aspect of your business strategy, because your business model is the house that everything else falls into. So if your business model isn't on point, then you might really have a hard time figuring out what's working and how to pivot away from what's not inside of your business.
So getting your business model right is super important. Now inside the Midheaven Method, the perspective that we take on this is by building your business with your Midheaven. That's the whole ethos behind the program. But when it comes to creating a business model that's aligned to your astrology, there are a few things to keep in mind.
And before you even dive into the chart and look at specific details, the most important thing that I want to bring across to you is that we all have different astrological strengths based on our birth chart. Even if you have the same placement as another person. Maybe you have the same Midheaven sign or it's at the same degree. It doesn't matter because we all have different strengths. And not only that, even outside of astrology, we all have different lived experiences as well. So I don't want you to neglect the practical alongside the magical. I want to instead invite you to bring them both together. That's really what my process and my business is about.
When you embrace this perspective, that's when your business model can really do its best work and become that structure that contains the best part of your business. It's able to hold all that magnetism, all the mysticism, all the magic, as well as be a really practical part in creating a business that not only feels like you, but is actually sustainable and successful and does really well at being a business.
Another thing I want you to keep in mind is that we are very much anti- limiting over here. So just because your Midheaven is in a particular sign, that doesn't mean that you are locked in to only doing one kind of business.
I want you to consider a few questions on how you can figure out whether or not your business model is working with or against your chart.
The first question to really ask is, are you embracing your Midheaven sign as the archetype of your personal leadership?
This is huge because an archetype is a guide. It's an idea that you can embody and really take on your own. But an archetype is not meant to live on its own. You're supposed to take an archetype and remix it to best fit you.
And so when it comes to looking at your Midheaven sign, this is a fantastic place to start. Your Midheaven sign is really the first introduction to the Midheaven. So taking your Midheaven sign and looking at it not as this limiting box that you have to contain your business and your business model in, and instead utilizing it as the archetype of the particular way that you show up as a leader.
This is your way of being visible, your way of showing up as an authority in front of your clients and community. It's your particular way of being seen, being known, and doing your best work. And so I really wanna emphasize how important this is.
For me, as someone with a Taurus Midheaven, I show up in a slow and steady way. I do my best work when I have a lot of space to do it. When I'm able to move away from the spotlight and I'm able to also embrace that, it may take me a long time to get to the point. I also really like working with ideas and concepts that will stand the test of time. It may take me a minute to generate those ideas, but once I have them, oh my gosh, they're able to stand the test of time.
Versus someone who has a Leo Midheaven, for example, is meant to do their best work in a similar way, and need a business model that is able to contain their ability to perform, to do their best work in front of a live studio audience.
Your community is as much of a part of that process of how you show up and how you best lead as it is the actual work that you do.
For me, with a Taurus Midheaven, that's not necessarily the case. But it's rather, is the structure enough for me to dive into the depth of the topics that I wanna be known for?
So looking at your Midheaven sign as inspiration for how you're meant to show up as a leader in your business, rather than confining it to my career can only look in this particular way.
The next thing that you wanna consider are the energy of the houses. So there are 12 houses in all of our birth charts, and all of the planets will fall into this; the Midheaven is no exception. But in particular, you wanna consider what house your Midheaven is in and also your Midheaven ruler. The traditional planet that rules over your Midheaven... what house is that in? And are you utilizing the themes of these houses?
Now all 12 houses connect to a different part of life in general. And so when you look at the houses where your Midheaven and your Midheaven ruler in particular fall in, then you're able to make these connections on where your best work really lies, and also get a little bit of insight as to what maybe you should be speaking about.
What are the things that you should be working towards being known for within your business? Okay, so if you're Midheaven falls in the 9th house? Your best work is going to be around purpose, longevity, the things that really help to bring meaning to life, meaning to the work that we do and helping people to uncover what that looks like.
Very ninth house. Very on brand for that. It's also perhaps leaning into the niche that you fall into or an aspect of your niche. So if it falls in the ninth house, right, than doing work around spirituality, religion, travel, long journeys... themes that speak to a global audience rather than a very local market. These are all related to the 9th House, and I talk more about this inside of my episode on the 9th house as well.
So considering what house your Midheaven and your Midheaven ruler are in, are there different ways that you can bring this into your business model?
This is also really helpful because this allows you to see that your business model should be expansive. I feel really strongly about this: no matter what sign or house or any astrological information that your Midheaven falls into your business should be simple. It should be grounded. It should be stable enough to function as a business.
It's not meant to be the center of your creativity. It's not meant to be the only thing that brings excitement and joy and value into your life. So when you're able to do this, allowing your business to run and function and be a business rather than the center of enjoyment in your life, it not only releases so much unnecessary pressure, but creates space for your business to actually do its best work now.
The next question to consider is, outside of astrology, how are you bringing your lived experience into interpreting this and utilizing it into your business strategy? So what I mean by that is how are you considering your lived experience in taking action as an online business owner?
So if you're a coach, the actual coaching that you are getting and receiving. If you're a consultant, the consulting work that you're doing and receiving. If you're an online service provider, the services that you are receiving and delivering for your clients... what does that look like? How is that impacting you? How is that helping you to become better at your craft?
Astrology only works when you do. So it's really important that you're not just looking at the birth chart and saying, okay, like I have no skin in the game. I have no way of actually making this a reality.
You do. You do that by taking action on where astrology is guiding you.
It's only the blueprint. It's not going to do the work for you, so it's really important that you don't underestimate how important it is to just take action.
By taking actions, you gather data. You get necessary information to help you make better decisions that lead you more along that aligned path.
The more data that you have, the better decisions that you can actually make. This also helps when you get to the crossroads of, how do I pivot? How do I align? How do I prepare for the next stage of growth in my business in a way that actually aligns with my astrology?
So with these questions, you're able to be guided towards a business model that actually works for your chart rather than against it.
