Don't put your hopes on this writers and producers because they will lure you. And I just hope you don't get heartbroken. Let me tell you guys something. Okay. Ada called me on Friday and she told me, "Fiona, have you seen this K drama um Haunted Palace?" And I'm like, "Okay, no, I haven't." And she's like, "Drop everything you are doing and go and watch it." Period. because it is it is I think this is like the perfect K drama for me. Okay. This month like they knew I needed it. I was craving for something cuz it's giving it's giving is it alchemy of souls vibe. It has like you know what it has a lot of tale of a night like from the emoji. Yes. When I heard emoji I knew that I'm having goosebumps. I know he gave that teller when I heard Emi and everybody I'm sorry to cut you short from that Kdrama. I just wanted to like let you know um Ada's birthday was this month and few days ago and we're going to be singing her a happy birthday song. A happy birthday song. Jingle. Oh my god. Who is that? So I was just scrolling through IG. I follow this um Kdrama addicts and some other blogs here. So I I see like um snippets of most of my movies before I see them. Yeah. And there's one with Jun Pio coming out I think in I don't know why I saw that and I'm like see it's looking like it's looking like it's going to be very epic. It should be epic because after what happening when the stars gossip nah I was so I was so pumped for that movie and it's compensate his f you know he needs to compensate us because we are over there. Oh my god. But I think this this new one the one coming out will be very the action is just most of the top actors and actresses like I can when is it coming out I don't the date I really am not certain but did you see the cast is giving g every single one of them were like I'm here to do this see the person that wrote that stuff will pay a whole lot of money cuz for real for real the the the trailer alone The trailer was given. It's just it's just four episodes, but like I've seen I think I've seen three now and I can't I can't get my eyes off my screen. Like I slept around 4:00 a.m. yesterday just because I was watching the haunted paras. That's how interesting it is. See me and cry. We are like five and when I started is this romance between the emoi and like I just I don't know what's her name Yuri. Yuri. Okay. Yuri. Yuri. Y u r i sori fighting you did well if you see this and emoji I don't know emoi you're handsome I don't I don't know why I I'm having a thing for emoi right now I don't know but the emoi emoji is hot he played his role very well I'm like and gap who is like more cute for you gap is actually handsome gap has like the baby face has the masculine vibe. Yeah. And he's giving like I'm complicated. He's giving like Mhm. You know, I'll go for the emoji. Okay. Emoji. It is. I have faith in this drama because it has everything. The essence of this thing is that I love prehistoric drama and I like it when it's all about fantasies and the likes of them and I'm in for this. Yeah. So, it's going to be interesting. I have been seeing I don't know but between modern and like their historical dramas, which do you prefer? I think it's their historical dramas especially their fantasy historical dramas right um let's give it four give it to what do you call it tale of a night tale Mr. Queen. Yeah. See, not even counting. I think like I feel most of their prehistorical dramas just have this very distinct like I don't know difference. Let me just say it has this different feeling when you're watching it. Modern is good. I'm not saying that I do not like modern Korean dramas of the modern Korean dramas like fantasy dramas. It's good. It's still what do you call it? Um, Korean Odyssey is still he had a mixture of modern and the historic vibe. Yeah. I be historic. Yeah. And uh what other one? Yeah. A lot now. Uh my eternal. Yeah. But I didn't I didn't finish I didn't finish my Legend of the Blue Sea. Like Legend of Blue Sea has all I I just feel like they have the both sides. But regardless, I still like the historical dramas more because if you see like me, I'm always a fan. I will always tell you I'm a fan of Leinho. You see Faith. Fate or people call it um something doctor that K drama see who get see if you see him there that his entrance music oh my god so let's talk about the K dramas of um 2025 so far my favorite will go to when life gives you tangerine cuz I've not seen it yet when life gives you tangerine is so nice. I had Angel on the show and I know that most of the things you guys were seeing were are like um conversations about Kimon and the whole saga. Let me tell you something. Yeah. There was a scene where um where the guy like the guy came inside and like he was on his white and white whatever like that particular house was also in the haunted palace where the girl was looking for the water spirits. Oh really? I feel I'm not going to that part. What episode is that? The end the end of um I don't know if it was Alchemy of Souls or I can't remember which movie. Might not be Alchemy of Souls but it might be one of these movies. use some places now. I saw that place like that particular place in one of the scenes of that haunted palace. I like I know this house. This is my house. I have been there. I've been there before. We found out that's that that bathroom looks like my bathroom. Well, no. Now it's movies now. Definitely. You find like some places um Yeah. And there's this popular place too they always use for most of their movies. this hand river like every time it comes up and that um I think the where they hang their they do the love. Yeah. They always bring it up in most of their movies too. Yeah. I want to start doing something right. I just want to like explore the whole Korean culture that I know that I talk about Korean movie a lot but I want to start doing something actually factual. So this is it there. So I want to bring you guys something awesome. Um, I've started researching, but I haven't like gone far. And I think I should like give you an expo. So, I want to start talking about Korean cultures and the history of the Korean people because it's really important for us to know where this thing started from and how Korea started and how we be how they be and how yeah the Korean call like the Korean itself or Korea itself evolved. Do you know that fact hangul that's the Korean writing was actually developed by one person. So they used to use Chinese characters before. Let me just tell you I'm like trying to like this is something I've not gotten their names right but with time I'll get tell you their names. And if you go to Korea there are museums you have like act you find this people have been they've done a lot of things for Korea. you there's this popular place too that they used to show on the movies where there's this man with a sword that sits down if if you see it you know like the historic almost all their movies no like modern movies you will see him sit down sword yes he's a very popular place if you maybe you've not really because we're just talking about it now but this guy is actually a very he's an o he's an admiral and he fought um in the Korea war I want to bring something really spicy for you for you all to understand where the Korea culture started from and how Korea even started from. Not alone, it's not today that Korean people like scholars, they just have this flare for people that are highly intelligent. You have to have a like your IQ has to be like you go, you know, topnotch competition is very very the schools are very competitive. M I think I was watching an interview one white girl she said she went to Korea for university and rather no her masters she was lost because she she was lost I I don't know if their curriculum is actually different or something or has like a higher I don't know I couldn't fear I'm like looking for masters go back maybe just do masters yeah but the thing yeah but I literally like admired their school system in as much as yeah plenty see everywhere has their problems ups and downs but regardless I like to see the bright side and the good side of people countries cultures and everything as an anthropologist that I am yes I'm sociologist and I'm also an anthropologist and also a Kdrama chaper you know so what's your favorite K drama the haunted palace please your hunt will be fallen soon no never they should not even try they can't That's right. Like from episode one, you know the scene now. From episode one, I'm already in love. Let me just give you people one expo. Don't put your hopes and your your Yeah. Don't put your hopes on this writers and producers because you'll be entering. They will lure you. They will lure you into lure you into you have to watch it regard, but they will lure you. And I just hope you don't get heartbroken. Please don't ruin this thing for the people that are yet to watch It's just episode 4, but I'm just trying to make you guys It's just episode 4 and it's already given like it's interesting. In the comment section, when last did you see happy ending in Korean dramas? This year there's happy ending, but you will cry. You are coming out of torture like you've been ruined. You are happy but you are ruined because you've had a lot of broken hearts. even your well I feel regardless regardless I for this particular movie the haunted palace the happy it's going to have a happy ending because I don't think I'm um indifferent of whoever the girl ends up with unless unless they make her die that's the scary part which I doubt I am not rooting for anybody now because one gap is dead he can never come back to life. He never can tell. Maybe they will tell you his spirit can still enter the body like the emo is just pumping the spirit is pumping his body. He's able to see gap spirit because gap she sees she sees she sees ghost. So that's why she's able to see gap spirit. So I just feel he can't come back. So I feel like at the end of the day you know what will happen? Just like emoi just like goblin. Have you seen goblin? Yes. No. hand just like God was in a human body for how many years but something had to happen. Exactly my point. And he has to get I know what I'm trying to do. I know where this thing is going to. He is a dragon, right? He has to actually what he's looking for is how to get back into his dragon form and and ascend. Is he ascend ascend? So this is the purpose. This is his target. Just like how Goblin had the purple. So I'm saying that cuz he was tired of saying he has to go eventually. So when he wants to go that's when he will fall in love with an actual human and in love with her. Not like we don't know yet. Well, they said they had they they have a history. The thing now is that we do not know. Yes, we know that okay there's something the chemistry between the both of them. But what we're trying to say is that we are going to get heartbroken because he would have to leave and she's going to be in love with her. And do you know that scene where Goblin's wife died and no when she cried and I cried with her and it was just so heartbreaking. I feel that's what was going to happen. Calm down. That was too fast. Jesus. Because I don't want to cry again. My point is even if she ends up with Young Gap or she ends up with She can't end up with Young Gap. Young Gap is dead. I'm saying he might come back the I'm saying go back. Emoi. Emoji might make him like Emmoi has to go back right eventually. Young Gab can never come back to life. He's dead and not like forgotten. If you guys can recommend really nice Korean dramas for me, it won't be bad as well because I have been I know that I have promised you guys a lot of things but I've been busy. So tell me which is you know sad so I can avoid I think there's this new one. There's also this um filter. Okay. I don't know where to watch it. I've been looking for it's not on lock on ITV. Yeah, I think I'll check drama. So it's given like the Cinderella story. Is it is it that one that is I think it's the filter. So she has like a bracelet. Mhm. That um so the bracelet helps her to change into anything or into different persons. Okay. like she can um change to you or like a celebrity. It was looking like she was from a poor background. Then this old lady gave her the bracelet. Then um while wearing the bracelet, she's like, you know, when you're looking scraggly and like very somehow your hair is it raggedy. Raggedy. So, she um transforms to this gorgeous lady. That's why I said it's giving like Cinderella vibes. I love medical movies. I love medical movies, especially Korean medical movies. They do really well. You even think that they actually practicing or they literally having a real procedure um like go deep. They're so thorough. They like go into this thing. You could like learn a lot from their medical drama. You can even be a doctor. Yes. Actually, I feel if you're medical students, you should watch it. Well, it gives you like a visual idea of like what your you're going to see allegedly. Yeah. And I think it just promotes you being like having empathy towards your patient and putting your patient first before yourself because being a doctor or um yeah most of these Korean dramas they're like very very very keen on making sure that their patients get better even when like there's chaos they find everywhere. Yeah. Dr. Romantic. Exact Yeah. Dr. Dr. Romantic is just an OG. Dr. Romantic was very interesting. I love the way they like took care of their patients regardless of whatever situation they were in at that point. That were facing lawsuit and the likes of them. Oh my god. Some people are yawning because they don't understand Korean stuff. Oh Jesus. What's wrong with you, man? Go watch Korean movie and get better. Let's tell them like um in the haunted part. Okay. So what the thing is here I haven't seen everything but the from the episode one I've seen is that and I emoi um was supposed to ascend back to for people that don't know what emoji is a dragon even in um tale of the ninetaili is also a dragon I believe so so um well from episode one I've seen I'm literally saying from episode one I've seen so um the haunted palace is really interesting so far from my perspective and I think it's something that you all will love to watch. If you've seen, if you're a fan of Goblin, Tale of the Ninetail, you will love this because it's really nice. So, it's about um a girl who is supposed to be a shaman, but she rather becomes um in our present day optometrist. Yeah. An eye doctor. She rather becomes an eye doctor because she didn't want to go into that venture. Her grandmom was um a shaman as well. I think she went to become a shaman. She did. She to kill the emoji. So the thing is but grandmother didn't want her to. Yeah. She's that's why I said she's supposed to be a shaman but she is an eye doctor instead. Today's optometries we call whatever eye doctor optometries. Yeah. So um she has this um emoi that always follows her and the emoji started following she's actually first realized the emoji following her when she was 13 years old. And now the purpose of this emoi his um his um drive is to return or ascend back to where he came from. So the reason why the emoi keeps following her is because while he was ascending he's not supposed to be seen by any human but she can see but she was a baby at the time and she saw him ascending and that being met with the human eye he had to descend. So he hasn't been able and it took him years before he was able to ascend and because of that the emoji hated humans. I feel like um with time we'll get to know the rule through truth in um the haunted palace. And now the haunt why it's called the haunted palace this is it because there is the palace itself is haunted by spirit and it's a 8 foot 8 foot um 8 ft is it 8 ft I think there are different spirits in the palace actually but like the 8t it's the main spirit that is kid this is like terrorizing the palace. So there's this meme. I've been seeing a like blood splash and some and it has this con because it's it possessed the um the king's son. So whenever it's like active, it's has this drive for blood to kill. Okay. So in summary, yeah, the haunted palace that word because there's this spirit in the in the palace that is literally tormenting terrorizing them everybody in the palace and this girl literally sets her foot in the palace. So this we tend to understand what is going to be for her, the people in the palace and the emoji. Why it's called the haunted palace is because there's something there's a spirit in that palace and we are going we are going to find out how that spirit came into palace. What the spirit is looking for and the purpose of her in the palace, the purpose of the emoi in the palace and what is going to happen eventually. Yeah, because this is going to be chaotic and we're in for it. We're going to find out what's up with the haunted the haunted palace cuz she's in love.
