About Meg & The Daily Pep!
I’m Meg and I’m the host of The Daily Pep! and The Couragemakers Podcast and founder of The Rebel Rousers. I’m a coach, writer and all-round rebel-rouser for creative and multi-passionate women to do the things only they can do and build a wholehearted life. When I'm not recording episodes, writing bullshit-free Letters of Rebellion to my wonderful Couragemakers community or hosting workshops/group programmes, I'm usually covered in paint or walking my wonderfully weird cockapoo Merlin.

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Friday to you. So this week, to celebrate the launch of my latest project, the Hope Revival, which is a kind of Advent calendar for summertime, all about finding a sense of hope in a world on fire, we've been really diving into hope. And today I want to share something that will hopefully help you find it easier to take action and also take off the pressure a bit. So I've said this before, that around here we tend to be perfectionists. We can get in our own heads a bit and really overthink things, and that can often stop us from taking any action. Now here's the thing. One tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, seemingly insignificant thing is much better than nothing. While it can be really hard to hold on to any sense of hope sometimes, we can't simply turn off our desire for things to be better, even if we don't know how the fuck to even get started.

Hope is such a nuanced thing, and if we're looking for right answers, there aren't many tangible 100% correct answers. But I say fuck it, let's get rebellious and let's lean into imperfect hope. If there's no one right way of doing it, start where you can and with what you have. And know that even if you don't intentionally do something to make the world a brighter place, you are because you are you. You are not a dick. And just in your general life, through being who you are and how you act and the values you have, you serve as a reminder that there are good people out there. And you've probably renewed a lot of people's faith in humanity without even knowing it. The thing is, we don't have all the answers.

We won't know all the answers. But let's take that as a permission slip to move from perfect inaction to to imperfect action. It only takes one tiny, small, random act of kindness. Which can be as simple as smiling to a stranger, giving someone a hand, texting a friend that you haven't seen in a while, telling a loved one you appreciate them, signing a petition, taking a couple of books to a charity shop. Everything counts. And if we were all doing that, maybe the world would seem a hell of a lot lighter. Remember that pouring into yourself in a world that would seek to hide your brightness absolutely counts as an act of rebellion. Come up with one tiny, tiny, tiny, imperfect act you can do this weekend.

And know that you're not alone in the work that I do. I get to spend a lot of time with fabulous heart centered values driven, creative, multi, passionate, highly sensitive women. And I can tell you that we're pretty much all struggling to hold on to Hope. It's not a you thing. You're not doing anything wrong, and let's keep going in solidarity with each other. If you are feeling burnt out, exhausted, fresh out of fucks, and you want a tiny dose of delight every day for the next 28 days in a way that is really intentionally designed to feel like a treat rather than overwhelm, I think you'll really, really love the Hope revival. I've put the link in the show notes. There's also a way to test it out for yourself to see what you think, and I hope that it brings you some hope.

Have a good one and I'll see you on Monday.
