Warm welcome to all. Today, let's delve into the essence of Tefillin as explained in the Talmud.
Tefillin, small black boxes containing verses from the Torah, are worn by Jewish men during weekday morning prayers. But did you ever stop to think why we wear them? What do they symbolize?
The Talmud reveals that Tefillin is more than just an act of devotion. It's a physical manifestation of the bond between us and the Divine. When we wrap the Tefillin on our arms, pointing towards the heart, and on our heads, we're symbolically binding our heart's emotions and our mind's thoughts to the service of the Almighty.
In our daily lives, we often encounter the conflict between heart and mind. Our heart might be pulling us to do something, but our mind argues against it. Tefillin reminds us that when both heart and mind are bound in the service of the Divine, there's harmony, inner peace.
