Good morning and

welcome to Morning Serial.

Okay, good morning

and welcome to Tuesday.

Today is the last day that we've been

shooting on location.

We're actually back in the States now, so

regular programming

will start again tomorrow,

but you'll be able to see where we are

shooting on location.

Well, let's jump into this morning.

It's a Tuesday and it's also National

Give Something Away Day.

So give yourself permission to let

something go like that old

VHS collection or maybe some

of your emotional baggage.

Hey, but don't give away those gummy

worms because it's also gummy worm day.

I can just taste that nostalgic chewy

strawberry apple goodness.

Well, here's a sweet

truth to brighten your day.

A quote from Forest Whitaker who said,

"Even when life gets

heavy, we all have the strength

and side to rise."

And it captures

Whitaker's calm resilience.

And it's a reminder that no matter how

tough things get, we

all carry quiet power.

And that's something us latchkey Gen

Xers, we can relate to that.

Well, today's news, facts,

and birthdays are for July 15th.

And we're going to start back in 1799.

That's when the Rosetta Stone was

discovered in Egypt.

And that allowed researchers right to

crack the meaning behind hieroglyphs.

Then in 1948, Alcoholic Anonymous, that

was founded in Britain.

Then in 1988, everyone's favorite

Christmas movie, Die Hard,

starring Bruce Willis and

Alan Rickman, well, it

was released in the US.

Well, happy birthday to you

if today is your birthday.

You share a birthday with a

lot of entertainers today.

All right, I'm just

going to list them off.

You got actress Diane Kruger, she's 49.

You got actor Scott Foley, he's 53.

Actor Forest Whitaker, he's 64.

You got Kim Alexis, she's 65.

And finally,

singer-actress Linda Ronstadt, she's 78.

Well the number one song in this date

back in 1984 was when

doves cry by Prince.

Now this song was special to Prince

because it was his first

Billboard number one song.

And the song still remains relevant as

the Rolling Stone ranked

it at number 52 on their

list of the 500 Greatest Songs.

Well this is our last book review

suggestion, so I'm going to

suggest to pick up The 5am

Club by Robin Sharma.

It's for transforming your

morning into a daily superpower.

And I'm pretty sure she'll talk you

through listening to

Morning Serial every morning.

Well whether you're giving things away

today or savoring those

gummy worms, or just some

of those gummies maybe, I don't know, do

it with generosity and joy.

Thanks for choosing

Morning Serial this morning.

We'll see you back here tomorrow with our

episode starting when we

are shooting on locations.

So again, excited to

share those with you.
