https://forms.gle/3tL3QYfkfLsmJqeD6

What is Violent People Radio?

The founders of the very good professional wrestling website, Violent People, have made the radical move to start a podcast! Expect to hear their Hot Takes on the world's greatest sport, what they are watching, and what is going on with VP that week.

Pto (00:00)
It'd be a good bit if he was.

Dan Rice (00:03)
If he's not if he's late, I might be fucking taking some of his Hall of Fame picks from him.

Pto (00:09)
He set aside the entire evening for this, specifically so that he could turn up at like nine.

chris (00:24)
Two minutes left in the half for the Knicks? I'm assuming he's watching the Knicks.

Pto (00:55)
And I had a week off work and I'm going back tomorrow and I am not ready spiritually, physically, anything.

Dan Rice (01:05)
Don't even go back. Are you ready to talk a fuck ton about your work? Because

Pto (01:08)
Yeah, no, I'm ready to spill all the secrets. It's g it's gonna be like you know those old Fox masked magician things?

Dan Rice (01:11)
man, we gotta get to the bottom of this.

I would love like yeah, you're like, here's what really happens to your male.

Pto (01:22)
Yeah. No, I get sparked.

Dan Rice (01:25)
I assume that's fine.

Pto (01:34)
That's when I first started working at the the big plant, I used to joke that I worked in the ballot shredding division.

And then one person like I said it and I could see on their face they were just like piecing it together like, Was that a joke? And I'm like, Okay, time to retire that one.

chris (01:58)
And just just to be clear, you did it was not a joke, right? It was

Pto (02:04)
I mean, I only shredded the democratic ballots.

chris (02:07)
Okay good okay, good, good.

Dan Rice (02:08)
Thank God.

Pto (02:11)
The ballots from Dan's Twitter follows went through unmolested.

chris (02:16)
Ha ha ha.

Dan Rice (02:17)
I don't know how the fuck she's not naming names.

Pto (02:20)
Okay.

Dan Rice (02:23)
I unfollowed Ben Shapiro, but I guess not.

Pto (02:32)
I it's honest with that you confuse Ben Shapiro with Sam Roberts.

Dan Rice (02:39)
I don't think that's gonna help me out.

my god. Sam, shut up.

chris (02:51)
I'm I'm ready to talk about about how many good Sylvester Stallone movies there are.

Pto (03:01)
I'm ready to talk some tourneys.

Dan Rice (03:03)
That's well, I say that's the the Special Stallone one's really good because my Friday piece is about Paradise Alley, so

chris (03:14)
Hell yeah.

Dan Rice (03:17)
I watched that for the first time. Really fucking good.

Pto (03:23)
I don't think I've ever seen it.

chris (03:25)
I I have I have not either.

Dan Rice (03:25)
You you gotta. You guys gotta check it out.

Pto (03:30)
I mean maybe I'll try to pick it up from the Criterion, so

chris (03:41)
Terry Funk and Tom Waits, scam. How have I not seen it?

Dan Rice (03:44)
So who's who?

chris (03:48)
I've seen

Dan Rice (03:48)
I think it's Tom Waits' ⁓ first role too, maybe.

chris (03:56)
Seventy eight would track with

Dan Rice (04:11)
He Sam's gonna get in here late. He's gonna be trying to talk about wrestling and I'm just I'm already so pissed off.

Pto (04:17)
That's good podcasting though.

Dan Rice (04:34)
And

Pto (04:38)
Sorry if you guys hear me cleaning up my desk.

chris (04:48)
I do hear it an apology not accepted.

Pto (04:51)
All right, well tough shit.

Dan Rice (04:54)
Somebody's locked in on Black Terry, Anonymous Rabbit.

This is the problem one right here.

chris (05:07)
yeah.

Pto (05:10)
So my plan is I did not think about my Hall of Fame nominees ahead of time at all. And it's gonna be pure in the moment, what feels right.

chris (05:16)
me either.

Dan Rice (05:19)
Well, there's only sixteen wrong answers. You know what I mean? Anything I guess fourteen wrong answers. Anything else, fair game.

Pto (05:25)
Right.

I was gonna try to get John Cena in again.

Dan Rice (05:31)
I you're right. There's all you can't not many people are already in. So we're looking at a lot more wrong answers than that.

chris (05:39)
Yeah, ⁓

Now we're doing specific eras, so this is Doctor of Thugonomics, you know.

Pto (05:48)
Well, I was I was gonna nominate prototype.

chris (05:51)
⁓ okay.

Dan Rice (05:55)
Just for what he to Jim Cornett's wife, though.

Pto (05:58)
Just for the first time I ever went to a live indie show, prototype came out and powerbombed someone and I was just kinda like, I have no idea who this guy is. Maybe he'll be back for the next show. He was not.

Dan Rice (06:31)
Yeah, I don't know the f I mean, I I think I heard about him in one of those UPW shows under like this guy will just be a star and I'm like, okay, and then he just was star. He just willed into existence.

Pto (06:42)
I honestly think I first heard about him in like Raw magazine. You know how WWF had that magazine that was, you know, not quite a shoot, but less Kfabe. Like it would it would acknowledge that wrestling was a work. and they did an article about like here are the up-and-coming stars of the future, like in OVW and California and stuff. And that was how I first saw Batista. Because he was in there with like his fangs and his

Dan Rice (07:11)
Like Leviathan.

Pto (07:11)
Fucking belly button tattoo. Yeah. So I think that was where I first came across Mr. John Reginald Cena.

Dan Rice (07:23)
I remember i remember a lot of times like, you know, it would be Lesnar, Shelton, Cena, Batista, they used ⁓ Orton, they used to throw Rico in there a lot in those kind of articles.

Pto (07:33)
yeah, no Rico was a big deal where they were just like this guy is gonna be the biggest star. ⁓ let's kill him immediately by making him somehow gayer than the gay guys.

Dan Rice (07:46)
He's he's the the gay tag team's gay gayer manager.

Pto (07:50)
Yeah. The gay guru.

I wonder if he also got buried beat for that time in Survivor series where Jeff Hardy was late to stop him from a spot.

Do you guys remember this? It was Survivor Series 2002. It was the show that Shawn Michaels was in the elimination chamber on. And I think this segment like ended with Scott Steiner debuting. But Rico was up on the corner for a moonsault, and he was supposed to get crotched or something. And Jeff Hardy was like not just late in grabbing him, but like egregiously late.

Dan Rice (08:08)
Not

⁓ I do remember that.

Pto (08:37)
So on camera, the camera's on Rico, like who's just standing on top of the turnbuckle, thrusting his butt out for no real reason at this point. And he finally screams with and the camera picks up, God damn it, Jeff.

Dan Rice (08:51)
Okay. That does ring a bell actually.

Pto (08:55)
And I'd you know, in retrospect I wonder if, you know, like Vince McMahon saw and was like, he clearly can't hang.

Dan Rice (09:05)
I got I got fed ⁓ something on TikTok today that was, I don't know, D'Lo Brown. He's at the podcast that was doing a shoot interview or something where he was saying that he yelled at Ken Shamrock on TV, like you got knocked the fuck out and did his little head swivel. And when he got in the back, he thought he was gonna get fired because Vince pulled him aside. He's like, I'm gonna get fired or at least fine. And he's like, that's when Vince was like, that weird little head thing you did. Do it a lot.

Pto (09:29)
Yeah.

Dan Rice (09:30)
That's great advice, honestly.

Pto (09:32)
Yeah, I mean that was Vince, say what you will about his sex crimes. He had some good shit there. He had he was the one who had the ⁓ he told Benoit when they hired Benoit, he was like, I know how to get you over. Start smiling.

'Cause he saw the missing tooth and was just like, Yeah, you just need to start smiling more 'cause you look like a fucking freak.

Dan Rice (09:58)
It's weird that Rico never got brought dug back up like during the some of the mean wrestling meme wrestling agenda.

Pto (10:04)
I think I feel like he sued them. I think he was part of the concussion lawsuit and he's like claiming that ⁓

Dan Rice (10:10)
I meant like in the I meant like in the Indies, like I'm surprised he didn't like wrestle Effie or something.

Pto (10:16)
I don't know, maybe he's just a crazy guy.

Dan Rice (10:20)
So Sam.

Sam DiMascio (10:22)
hey, how's it going?

Pto (10:24)
Speaking of crazy guys who should be on the indies.

Dan Rice (10:24)
Pretty good.

Sam DiMascio (10:27)
I think so too. Two CWs in town. I should just hop in the ring.

Pto (10:31)
A lot of people have been calling you the Rico Constantino of this podcast.

Sam DiMascio (10:34)
It's what they're saying. That's what I'm hearing all the time.

Dan Rice (10:39)
When's this two CW show you're going to?

Sam DiMascio (10:43)
November fourteenth?

I'm absol I'm absolutely not going to that. It looks like dog shit.

Pto (10:46)
They missed out on their chance to do two sea wien.

chris (10:53)
Wow, fake fan.

Dan Rice (10:53)
It's there's nothing even really like funny.

Sam DiMascio (10:56)
Yeah. It's just like why am I why you did you do this to me? I had a whole gimmick go in for a long time.

Pto (11:00)
That's kinda that's kinda how I feel about most of the indies right now, where I'm like, this doesn't even seem like a good show to go to for like irony.

Sam DiMascio (11:13)
The big mash they just announced, Don Freeze versus Vaughn Vertigo.

Dan Rice (11:13)
⁓

That legitimately might be the best match on that show.

Sam DiMascio (11:23)
Are you sure it's not Pepper Parks versus Gregory Gregory Iron? Okay, but what about Muscle Marcos versus Mike Skyros?

Pto (11:24)
Yeah, let me see.

Dan Rice (11:27)
Versus Greg Iron? No, I don't think that's gonna do it.

I think that actually that's the that's the other contender if we're being honest. And that's depressing.

Sam DiMascio (11:39)
Yeah.

Pto (11:42)
Yeah, so I'm I'm going to the No Holds Bar Chains show and they're doing a double header. Normally they do a double header with Beyond. But now they're doing it with another local thing, ⁓ Focus Pro. And this card is just like I don't even want to see this like to be funny.

JB Anderson versus Anakin Murphy. LJ Cleary versus Austin Luke. Izzy Moreno versus Gypsy Mack. They're bringing in Super Crazy to face Manny Aries. Main event, Diego Alvarez versus one called Manders. I'm just like. Nothing about that. Like, this is just like chat GPT shit.

Indies law.

Sam DiMascio (12:32)
I feel like every three years I make a blog that says the indies they're not dead. And but you know what? I think the indies they're dead. They're gone. Just

Pto (12:33)
I think I think Don Freeze is on this show too.

Sam DiMascio (12:44)
Hoop out of butt there. Not great. Don't love it.

What do you do?

Dan Rice (12:51)
It sounds like old it sounds like old timer talk, but it used to be that like the Shindis would bring in, you know, punk and cabana to have a real match where the rest of the guys fucked around.

Sam DiMascio (13:02)
This is no one to have a real match.

Dan Rice (13:04)
I just want one real match.

Sam DiMascio (13:06)
That's not too much to ask.

Pto (13:07)
I mean that's that's kinda like what they're doing where it's just like, Okay, we're bringing in fucking like one called Manders and I'm like, Yeah, he's fine, but it's not like going to see like CM Punk and Colt Cabana in two thousand five.

Dan Rice (13:23)
uncomfortable with Greg Iron matches ⁓ over well over a decade ago.

Pto (13:30)
You're more of a Greg excellent guy?

Dan Rice (13:32)
And it's just like we're still doing this. We're still we're still letting them wrestle all the time and

I mean, I guess he's driving, but like that's a far drive too. So like he's driving from fucking Cleveland and to Syracuse to fuck around with Pepper Parks. That's quite a drive, I think.

Sam DiMascio (13:46)
And what's wrong with that?

⁓ it's nothing.

Pto (13:53)
You think they're not flying him in?

Sam DiMascio (13:54)
It's that two CW money. With how how much they charge for tick tickets. Like they can afford a flyman.

Dan Rice (13:54)
Yeah.

If they're fine in, Sam, you're paying too much on this Patreon.

And then it's like, they're putting on such a bad show that I'm like, man, like, man, look at that last show. You had Jake Christ, Matt Taven, Eddie Edwards. What happened?

Sam DiMascio (14:19)
You tell the Chris aren't in Cleveland? That they're not out there anymore?

Dan Rice (14:24)
I gotta tell you that that one Chris I don't think is allowed wrestle anymore. They don't want him. he does. I don't know if people know this. I think he coaches, he's a line coach for a professional women's football team. If people need to know what's going on with Dave Chris. That was the last I heard about him. But they're no, they're like Cincinnati boys.

Sam DiMascio (14:27)
Whoa. Come on. It's too CW.

Okay.

So he's progressive. Okay.

Dan Rice (14:46)
Yeah. Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (14:48)
Women can play football too.

Pto (14:52)
So I'm watching this this random match on La Tahiera Lucha Libre, and it's Io De Fishman, Frescero Junior, all of Rob Viper's favorites. And Rocambola Junior is like sitting ringside bleeding, and this little kid just walks up and starts patting him on the back.

It's like straight up just like they're there. They're there.

Dan Rice (15:17)
I feel like my family has actual families that we feud with that I don't hate as much as he hates the Munos family.

Fucking Dragonly, Roost, Jalistico, they all have him so worked up all the time.

Pto (15:32)
And none of them even fucking killed a guy.

Sam DiMascio (15:44)
Try to figure out if they're gonna book Joey Janella versus Spike Dudley.

Dan Rice (15:48)
Spike I thought Spike's not wrestling anymore.

Sam DiMascio (15:51)
For two CW, Dan? Why are you trying to why are you trying to double play the gravity of 2CW?

Pto (15:55)
Well yeah, no, no. Spike

Hyson is retired, but Spike Dudley

Dan Rice (16:01)
You're gonna you're gonna find this hard to b you're gonna find this hard to believe. I'm Facebook friends with my guys Matt Hyson.

Sam DiMascio (16:09)
What do you

Dan Rice (16:11)
He just has made it very clear that he's available for bookings, but he will not be wrestling anymore. But I that might change for two C W. You're right.

Pto (16:18)
All right, I think I figured out why Eoda Fishman killed that guy. They just showed a close up of his back and he has even more back knee than Rouche, despite having a provably worse body.

Sam DiMascio (16:26)
Mm.

So too strong.

Pto (16:31)
Too strong. He, you know, his hormones are surging. When you get that much testosterone, you cannot stop yourself from killing a referee.

Sam DiMascio (16:41)
Been there.

Pto (16:47)
Like this is what Pete Heggseth wants.

Dan Rice (16:47)
I'm happy at my home AW and my visa has expired.

Got a lot going on.

Sam DiMascio (17:00)
Matt Heyson, he got a bachelor's of arts degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs.

chris (17:08)
Whoa.

Dan Rice (17:09)
There we go.

Sam DiMascio (17:10)
So there we go. That's like it's really this is home, anybody think about it.

Pto (17:11)
Not bad.

Dan Rice (17:18)
⁓ Rouche putting up this picture of him on an if in an affinity pool in front of the ocean. That's like a move I pulled when I was working at the steel mill and got laid off. I was on vacation. So I was just sending like these guys that were worried about how they're gonna feed their families, like pictures of the at the beach.

Sam DiMascio (17:36)
How much is

Dan Rice (17:36)
They're like, When's our last paycheck? And I'm just like

Sam DiMascio (17:40)
How much is Roosh getting paid and or was not getting paid at all of his previous stops? Because this is a man that I was told could not not burn bridges. And he's constantly just like, no, I'm good. I'm happy.

Dan Rice (17:40)
The weather's beautiful.

No. The the yeah, the the issue the issue is like maybe everyone should be burning bridges because he always is getting whatever he wants and seems like he's having a great time.

Sam DiMascio (18:01)
It's going great for him. I don't know whatever I guess, but what are you gonna do?

So what are you guys doing on this podcast these days?

Dan Rice (18:20)
⁓ that does remind me. Welcome to Violent People Radio episode one seventeen. I'm Dan Rice. And as you've heard, we are joined by the triumphant returning Sam. And he's talked about he's gonna talk about wrestling tonight, right?

Pto (18:21)
⁓ pretty much this.

Sam DiMascio (18:31)
Hello.

chris (18:35)
God, I hope not.

Sam DiMascio (18:35)
Okay, so from the last time I was on here, I have watched

Dan Rice (18:39)
just.

Sam DiMascio (18:41)
That doesn't include breasting that we're gonna podcast about, Dan. ⁓ ten matches, so let me tell you about the

Dan Rice (18:47)
I'd be so mad if you just fucking rapid fired got all your thoughts out right now.

Like it turns in that from me me pranking you on that show to you prank me, like damn.

Sam DiMascio (19:00)
You wanna talk about the match of the year, Fist versus modern age violence?

Dan Rice (19:03)
Well, can you wait? Because it's not just me and you on this. This isn't talking attorneys. We also have the big man, Chris.

Sam DiMascio (19:05)
Okay, okay, sorry.

chris (19:11)
What's up?

Dan Rice (19:13)
And of course, fresh off vacation, cat.

Unfortunately, Orchid would not she would not come on the show as long as Sam was here. That was her words.

Sam DiMascio (19:19)
People radio.

Fally Peel Radio, this one's for the fellas.

Pto (19:24)
Yeah.

Dan Rice (19:29)
Damn it, now we already got the title. I gotta put that in before I forget it. ⁓

Pto (19:33)
Ha ha ha ⁓

Sam DiMascio (19:37)
my god.

Dan Rice (19:39)
I mean, if we haven't if we haven't if you're a woman and you haven't been ran off already, that title's not doing it.

Sam DiMascio (19:49)
⁓ man.

Dan Rice (19:49)
God, it'd be really great if is is Seamus doing cameos? Maybe I could get like a Seamus fellas in there or something. Is that like a thing he said?

chris (19:56)
yes, he did famously say that. He did famously say fella a lot.

Dan Rice (19:58)
Okay, just making sure.

That T B man, they're good shit. That's a good wrestler.

Sam DiMascio (20:02)
No!

chris (20:04)
⁓ this is my favorite.

Sam DiMascio (20:08)
I did not know what I was thinking, but I just googled fellas comedian cameo. It didn't really do a lot. Wasn't helpful.

Dan Rice (20:08)
I got.

I I'll just put man stewing Dan Rass. It's all yeah, people love it.

Sam DiMascio (20:18)
It's good. It's so good.

Dan Rice (20:25)
So, Sam, how you been?

Sam DiMascio (20:28)
I've been pretty good. I've been pretty good. Not podcasting every single week with you has been hard. Has been hard. But not but I'm glad to be back for this week and this week only. ⁓ until we do full new known as always bearing Tanners twenty twenty six.

Dan Rice (20:39)
okay. I thought you were gonna go the other way.

Man, that doc right now is popping. I'm I've watched everything on it.

Sam DiMascio (20:59)
Okay, I'm gonna open the dock right now. this is a video podcast, right?

Dan Rice (21:02)
Yeah, yeah, people can see everything that's happening. Yep.

Sam DiMascio (21:04)
Perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect. mm hmm. Yep. Yep. Okay. No, looks good. Looks good. We're doing some good work.

Dan Rice (21:13)
Okay. Yep. ⁓ I did recommend a video podcast for Godi Gang and then Tanner immediately shut it down. It's like W to be fair, it did take two years for you guys to do one more audio episode. So maybe I'm asking for way too much.

Sam DiMascio (21:27)
I think we can pull it off. I don't think it's that hard.

Pto (21:31)
I think I think what you should do is record the audio for Godee Gang and then have like Chat GPT create a video to go with it.

Dan Rice (21:43)
That's that's really good too. Now, Pat, I know you listened to all three episodes, front and front and back. ⁓

Pto (21:46)
Yes. Yeah, I c I care a lot about gaming and the games of the years.

Dan Rice (21:52)
I would say a solid seven to nine percent of the episode is people discussing who's doing what to the sheet.

Sam DiMascio (21:59)
Which is very funny.

Pto (21:59)
Okay.

Dan Rice (21:59)
a a sheet that only they can see.

Sam DiMascio (22:04)
So do you like that? Do you not like that? Give me some feedback.

chris (22:05)
J

Dan Rice (22:06)
No, I like it, but I think it would o I think the visual might be funny too. And whenever Orchid makes us watch the porn when we record, I have the video. I could release that. So like whate whatever's happening, Orchid's doing it.

Sam DiMascio (22:13)
Mm.

Okay.

Pto (22:20)
All right, so it took us about two minutes for you to start blackmailing one of the co hosts. This that's like this is this is the most this is the most Dan you've ever been.

Dan Rice (22:24)
No, I just meant like it can't be that hard because Riverside just has it ready.

I'm in a I'm I'm in a really good mood tonight, guys.

Pto (22:32)
Just just immediately going into like I have comprom out on these women.

Sam DiMascio (22:39)
I think it's really messed up that people for patron saints of six cents of bitches, they're coming in saying, ⁓ wow, they left an hour in this podcast that they didn't mean to leave. How unprofessional are they? In our Discord.

Dan Rice (22:51)
Every single bullshit that I pull in this podcast, they all go hilarious, great stuff.

Sam DiMascio (22:55)
And then a couple of women do it, a couple of broads decide to pull something and just harass left, right, and center. I thought our Discord was better than this, but I guess not.

Dan Rice (23:08)
been a few weeks where the podcast is objectionally unlistenable and whenever you bring it up, people shout you down.

Pto (23:14)
I have never had any illusions that our Discord is better than anything.

Just putting that out there. They they could do better. And I say that as someone who is currently watching Eoda Fishman tease giving a referee a package pile.

Dan Rice (23:33)
and this is post release.

Pto (23:35)
This is this is post this is two days ago.

chris (23:37)
Yeah, this is new. This is this is this weekend.

Dan Rice (23:37)
It's so fucking good.

Pto (23:42)
Yeah.

Dan Rice (23:42)
my.

It's so good.

Pto (23:49)
This is after he did a press conference where instead of taking any kind of like responsibility for what happened, he angrily whined about how referees are too involved in matches.

Sam DiMascio (24:01)
That's amazing. I'm very happy about that.

Dan Rice (24:03)
He just skyrocketed up my VP one hundred.

Pto (24:08)
I mean, my number one to beat is still Tiffany Stratton off of like two bumps.

Just I feel like w d we we didn't get a chance to talk about that money in the bank, did we? No, that was moment of

Sam DiMascio (24:16)
I feel like if you kill a man

Dan Rice (24:24)
That was gonna be the big top, but we did we we did D and D instead last week.

Sam DiMascio (24:25)
Yeah, I like the idea of we didn't get the opportunity as if th these guys were really cla clamoring for it.

Pto (24:28)
Okay. Well

chris (24:35)
I was?

Pto (24:35)
moment of the year is Tiffany Stratton just leaping off of a super high ladder in the least safe way humanly possible and everyone just watching. Like all the other wrestlers, like they could have taken one step forward. Lash Legend is just standing there like, ⁓ well she's gonna die.

Dan Rice (24:54)
Yeah.

Shit, I kinda want to watch this match. Okay, I'm way more likely to watch this match than the men's. Min's is 32 minutes, this is 15.

Pto (25:04)
Yeah, no, no, absolutely like don't don't want don't even watch anything else on the show. In fact, you can just go on Twitter and watch like the highlight bumps.

Dan Rice (25:08)
Yeah I

Melter went four and a quarter on a twenty seven minute LA night match. That's pretty cool.

Pto (25:20)
yeah, no, he's always doing shit like that.

Sam DiMascio (25:23)
Numbers don't mean things, Dan. We're in a post star rating society.

Pto (25:32)
We're in a society where instead of star ratings, what matters is consuming all of a category of something and then ranking it all. If Meltzer started doing that if Meltzer started doing that, if Meltzer started like just posting like every Ric Flair match ranked, everyone would be back on his side.

Sam DiMascio (25:41)
Hey, hey, hey, hey.

Dan Rice (25:52)
Somewhere I have like 10 discs that in like 2001 was every match that Meltzer had raked like four and a half or higher. And now it's like that would not like those 10 discs would be like two week period.

Sam DiMascio (26:01)
Pretty good. It's pretty good.

chris (26:06)
Yeah, that's that's just every AEW show for a week.

Pto (26:06)
Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (26:08)
G one this year.

Dan Rice (26:10)
Yeah. Good shit.

Sam DiMascio (26:12)
That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool.

Dan Rice (26:16)
A I this is not not a normal order we go in, but let's talk about what's going on with the fucking site right now, guys. I'm pretty pumped about everything.

Pto (26:22)
Is something going on with the start?

Sam DiMascio (26:28)
That was in the D D T review, but whatever you want to talk about.

Dan Rice (26:30)
Well that's that one up today. Hey, it's good shit.

Pto (26:32)
Okay, so ⁓ my my question is, do we know how many drafts Tanner went through before he settled on Funkinfall?

Dan Rice (26:41)
⁓ Tanner is not only running this shit, he is providing a he's providing a piece.

Sam DiMascio (26:46)
He is the shirt.

Pto (26:46)
I'm just saying the name the name seems like it came from a lot of work and thought.

Dan Rice (26:50)
⁓ this whole thing has just been a meticulous project by him. And don't worry, his piece is going live next week and he will have it to me by October nineteenth. wait.

Sam DiMascio (27:02)
Got him Woof Fucking Rocked his ass.

Dan Rice (27:02)
Shit.

⁓ that's all that's all right. It's just like not only is Taylor not running it, he is not contributing as well as some of the other contributors.

Pto (27:08)
Well, I mean, look it Dan it then

Dan no, no, I mean, let's be fair here. He had to go to the movies.

Dan Rice (27:20)
No, this was his the original time was gonna be the eighteenth, but then he had to go see one two hour movie. that's a long movie, Jesus.

chris (27:28)
Three hours. It's three hours.

Sam DiMascio (27:29)
Come on. Three.

Pto (27:32)
it's it's really good though. I saw it and I'm I after seeing it I'm like, Yeah, I'm on Team Tanner on this one. He should have gone to go see the movie.

Dan Rice (27:39)
I mean, I'm going Friday at eleven thirty five AM.

Pto (27:42)
All right, I'm gonna immediately spoil everything.

Sam DiMascio (27:44)
Don't

Dan Rice (27:45)
There you go.

Pto (27:47)
Well now I feel bad from the way you said that. That was that was pathetic.

Sam DiMascio (27:48)
I've I've got I know that's why my skill is at work is just being pathetic and it tends to work out. So that's where we're gonna go with on this podcast.

Dan Rice (27:50)
Yeah, you were so sad. Okay, please don't.

chris (27:54)
⁓

Sorry, I'm again

Pto (28:04)
Sending it an email with a subject line, I'm just a little guy.

Sam DiMascio (28:07)
Exactly. You wouldn't why are you doing to this to me personally? That's how it usually goes.

Dan Rice (28:08)
Yeah.

I think I've told this story before. One time in like the first grade, my nephew came home and he's like, I figured out a free way to get extra food. I was like, What do mean? He's like, I go up this everyone go, Are you gonna eat that? I'm really hungry.

Pto (28:27)
I thought I I thought this was about to be like I tell the, you know, school that we don't have any money.

Sam DiMascio (28:33)
They don't feed me at home.

Dan Rice (28:35)
No, and then he also used to get dropped off because they do free breakfast in the morning. He would eat the free breakfast and then leave the school because if you show up late for school, they give you a grab and go bag of donuts.

Sam DiMascio (28:46)
Why?

chris (28:48)
Bad.

Dan Rice (28:48)
So he because he won because he wanted the donuts and he wanted the sit down breakfast.

Sam DiMascio (28:52)
I think I don't understand Okay. I guess I just don't understand why they gift the donuts, but I Hm

chris (28:54)
That's working smarter.

Dan Rice (28:56)
Yeah.

No, because it's like hey because you can eat them you eat at your desk. They want everyone to be able to eat, but if you don't have time for sit-down breakfast, it's like here's a donut, kid, go go to school. ⁓

Sam DiMascio (29:05)
Fair enough, fair enough.

Pto (29:07)
Those classrooms must be swarming with ants.

Dan Rice (29:10)
Yeah, I'm sure they are.

Funkinfall nineteen seventy-three to nineteen seventy-six is already up. That's me, Barbara Roca, Cole, Tony Richards. ⁓ tomorrow is so basically when most people listen to this. You have Jonathan Snowden doing seventy-seven.

And just

Pto (29:30)
Jonathan Snowden What's he done?

Dan Rice (29:35)
⁓ he used to post a lot. I don't know. Never does anything weird.

chris (29:37)
I

Sam DiMascio (29:37)
He is a he is a liaison for our guests that we have on this podcast frequently to promote their their titles, their their n novels. I guess they're not novels.

Pto (29:50)
All right, so we should all get excited for this one.

Sam DiMascio (29:54)
Up to Dan. I listen. yeah, great. Have you read everything on the site for Funk and Fall?

Dan Rice (29:56)
I I think it's good. I've read I've read it. I think it's good.

Everything on a site? ⁓ Fundafall, yes. I say everything on a site, you're gonna get me to call people out because no.

Sam DiMascio (30:09)
Sorry, Stuff.

Dan Rice (30:11)
Everything in Funkin' Fall? Yes. ⁓ no, I just think it's cool because it's like so far there's I get there's the four things that have gone up, one going up tomorrow, and then ⁓ then me again. It's like all about Dan. But like they're all very different so far. You know, you have like me being doing my normal sad sad sack shit. What I'm talking about death. You got a satire piece, you got Cole covering one match in detail.

Tony Richards put in like 7,500 words covering everything he did in 76. ⁓ Snowden's is like an imaginary interview with funk. And then I'll go ahead and spoil it. Mine on Friday is like a movie review. So it's you know, it's just pretty cool to have all this funk content but be different each each day so far. And then yeah, pork's.

Pto (30:56)
You might call this a thousand terry function.

Dan Rice (31:00)
Finally. ⁓ that's someone should do that for one of their years, like list all the Terry Funks that were good that year.

Pto (31:06)
I can do that for nineteen ninety five instead of I don't think he did anything important that that year. So

Dan Rice (31:07)
You got it. ⁓

Pto (31:14)
Anyway, so yeah, then Pork did a thing.

Dan Rice (31:17)
Yeah, he reviewed a D D T show. ⁓ my favorite part about Torque is always the ⁓ the featured images, the Simpson ones. So I don't read it, but like I like the look of that picture. And that counts as a view for him.

Pto (31:26)
I'll read it. Let's let's

Sam DiMascio (31:31)
That's what's important.

Pto (31:32)
Violentpeople.co DDT Wrestling Harvest.

Dan Rice (31:35)
And then those ⁓ I think it's I think Sam called them broads earlier. Those broads did a a dump podcast or something.

Sam DiMascio (31:49)
Way to sell it. Way to sell it.

Dan Rice (31:49)
I'm I'm it's actually really good. They they they do talk about Kenny Omega right away that might scare you away, just power through.

Sam DiMascio (31:59)
I don't think they've talked about can I make it enough, so I am glad they circled back on that. Lots to go over. Lots to go over.

Dan Rice (32:12)
Yeah. Sam, Sam and Chris are both coming up soon though in Funk and Fall, I believe. I don't have the sheet in front of me, but I'm sure they've both written it.

chris (32:18)
Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (32:19)
I I gotta tell ya. I gotta tell ya, I'm nowhere close. We're not

chris (32:23)
I have listened I have listened to that album several times.

Dan Rice (32:27)
That's something.

Sam DiMascio (32:28)
I have no idea what I'm gonna write about. It's

It's not It's not great.

Dan Rice (32:34)
If you need help, reach out to Tanner.

Sam DiMascio (32:37)
I'm sure I'm sure. I've seen what TNS put on the site. I think that's probably a good idea. It's

Dan Rice (32:45)
guys.

Sam DiMascio (32:47)
Yeah, I'm always I'm I'm swerving on ya, Dan. Nineteen eighty one, I think, right? That's okay. I just told Dan, give me a year, I'll take it.

Pto (32:50)
What year do you have, Sam?

Okay.

Dan Rice (32:54)
Yeah.

It's it's good.

Thought it gave you a good year too.

Sam DiMascio (33:02)
It's a good year. But it's also like feels like the obvious year to me. Like the thing that you would want to talk about is the thing to talk about. But maybe I'm wrong.

Dan Rice (33:12)
If for some reason you'd prefer nineteen eighty two, you could switch, but you have to do it immediately.

Sam DiMascio (33:18)
What do you mean, immediately?

Dan Rice (33:20)
Well you you have to you'd have to tell me like right now on the air. I mean because n I haven't found anyone else to do so I think this funk and fall is gonna be me about once every four posts.

Sam DiMascio (33:22)
Are you doing nineteen eighty two?

That's pretty funny. That's pretty funny. ⁓

Pto (33:32)
So nineteen eighty one is Lawler, nineteen eighty two is Dusty Roads. You gotta choose, Sam.

Dan Rice (33:36)
Yeah. Egg sucking dog. Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (33:38)
We're gonna we're gonna stay with eighty one. We're gonna stay we're gonna stay with eighty one.

Dan Rice (33:43)
All right, good shit. And if someone listening to this podcast really likes Terry Funk in nineteen eighty two, nineteen eighty five, or nineteen eighty-seven, feel free to reach out.

Sam DiMascio (33:44)
Glad we had this cut

chris (33:54)
Don't do that. Make Dan work for it.

Sam DiMascio (33:56)
Why is everyone a big fan of Funker in the nineties?

Dan Rice (34:01)
Well, I've written I've written two things. Well, one that's up and one that's going up this week and didn't we're nowhere near the year I picked. I picked two thousand three. Which I will say was partly because I knew that'll give me a bunch of time. Tanner will be handling all this, I'll have all the way to two thousand three, I'll be fine.

Sam DiMascio (34:18)
Cool. That's cool.

Dan Rice (34:19)
Pretty

Pto (34:26)
All it's a good episode, guys.

Sam DiMascio (34:27)
Alright, so ⁓ thanks for having me on. I appreciate it.

Pto (34:32)
No problem.

Dan Rice (34:32)
No, just Sam quickly tell me because like you sometimes talk about wrestlers in Discord who I don't know if I know who they are.

Sam DiMascio (34:38)
Name

Dan Rice (34:40)
If I if I could just name the top of my head, I know who they are.

Pto (34:44)
Ha

Dan Rice (34:46)
It's crazy system you're asking me to do.

Sam DiMascio (34:47)
Are we talking about Chica?

Dan Rice (34:52)
Probably it's probably like Josie wrestlers and I'm out myself, but like okay, you don't have to talk about that when I take it back.

Sam DiMascio (34:55)
Yeah, yeah, from Sendai Girls.

I don't know. I don't know what to tell you, Dan. ⁓ I know Orc is talking about Joshi sometimes on the show and I'm like, I don't I don't know what's going on here. And then I'll watch Sundai Girls and it's like, yeah, this is this is the good stuff. This is the wrestling that I should just watch more of. Which feels bananas to me. It doesn't feel right in my soul. Yeah, here I am. ⁓ Chica, n I don't know a better way to put it. She's a big girl.

Dan Rice (35:03)
Yeah, tell me about the Sindai girls.

Sam DiMascio (35:33)
I think she's a lot

Pto (35:35)
Is this the one who does the Capoeira stuff?

Sam DiMascio (35:38)
No.

⁓ not how I would describe it, I guess.

Pto (35:44)
I I'm thinking of Ichika Miyagi or something like that. Ichika Miyagi. ⁓ okay.

Dan Rice (35:48)
This girl's just Chica, like Madonna. She's like a judo she's like a judo girl.

Sam DiMascio (35:50)
Just Chiga. This this woman Yes, she does a stick you to a throw.

Pto (35:53)
Okay. When you said big girl, I was thinking of Ichica Miyavi because she's like very tall and she does like Brazilian capoeira shit.

Sam DiMascio (36:04)
Mmm thicker. Thicker.

Dan Rice (36:06)
Why do you all since we're just since we're already just talking about women's weights, which Sam wanted to get to right away, why do so many of the bigger female wrestlers wear plaid? What's that about? I'm not gonna name names. I just know that I've seen that gear on a lot of ⁓ girls who are bigger. All right. But yeah, Chica, she's a highlight, Sam. Who else should I be looking for in Sendai Girls? Natsupoy?

Pto (36:06)
Okay.

that's their co

That's their clan tartan.

Sam DiMascio (36:27)
⁓ okay. Never seen her. Like, I being that in my hearts of hearts, never seen her wrestle. I think she's fake based on everything I've been heard, like, this is now a real wrestler. This is purely a a bit for a podcast. Which you know what? Great, amazing. Love that. Andrew Cesar, good on you. You got me. I've been owned online. ⁓

Dan Rice (36:36)
I love that.

Sam DiMascio (36:55)
Watch Mikke Wada versus Monami from Senegirls, April 26th. Mika, I put her at number four last year in my Vi People 100. She's amazing. She just kicks Bill really hard, and I think that's the coolest thing a wrestler can do. And Monami is

Like the vibe of Billy Starks if she was less cringe, I guess, and feel more earn more earnest. More earnest, I guess. ⁓ not necessarily the teenager trying to kill herself, but I guess just the general pluckiness. ⁓ but no, that's really good.

Pto (37:32)
I I literally can't even imagine that.

Sam DiMascio (37:52)
I am subscribing to Russell Universe to just see, okay, what are we watch what are we doing here in the year twenty twenty six? Noah, not particularly good use of my time. Probably shouldn't have done that.

⁓ and D D T. I don't know what Pork's doing to himself because that's that that promotion's not doing much for me ⁓ this year. ⁓ we'll see how that all goes. We'll see how that all goes. But there you go. ⁓ Chica, Mikawada, and Manami. Those are your three wrestlers to go watch, Dan.

Dan Rice (38:32)
I'm ch I'm getting this all written down. I'm looking the just so you know, match seven was the and match eight on the latest D D T show were both four stars or more.

Sam DiMascio (38:34)
Yeah, yeah, put those in there, no tap.

Mmm ⁓ Is that from pork?

Dan Rice (38:48)
Cordin Atomfork.

Pto (38:51)
Well one of them was a was a secret match. Cause ⁓ Yuki Ino Yuki Ino was going out to he's moving to Noah and he used to be in Dan Shokodino's like weird pervert stable, pheromones. So

Dan Rice (38:54)
What does that mean?

Sam DiMascio (39:07)
You gotta stop letting Pork put these posts up on with no category. Dan, are you what are you doing?

Dan Rice (39:13)
How you know?

You have access to everything I have access to.

Pto (39:19)
I do think we should create a category that's just pork.

Sam DiMascio (39:19)
What yeah, Mayhe'll remember to do that.

chris (39:24)
Poor cor corner.

Sam DiMascio (39:26)
That's funny, yep, let's do that.

Pto (39:29)
But ⁓ so Yuki Ino used to be in the pervert stable with Dino and he would like wrestle in a jock strap and stuff like that because he was sexy Yuki Ino. So he's in the main event of this show, and then he says, Before I go to Noah full time, I need to face Dino one last time. And Dino comes out and says, All right, we're doing this, but we're doing it like freaky pervert style. And so they did a like a Dino versus Yuki Ino pervert comedy match.

Dan Rice (39:58)
Let me ask a a question. Are NOAA and DDT owned by the same people?

chris (40:02)
Yes.

Pto (40:03)
I believe so.

Dan Rice (40:04)
You can't wrestle for both of though.

Pto (40:07)
I don't know. I assume it's just, you know, he's trying to ⁓ like establish himself as a Noah guy instead of a D D D T guy who is sometimes in Noah.

Dan Rice (40:18)
Okay. All right.

Well I always say, you're thirty one. Let's start taking this thing serious.

So in all Japan not all Japan, all of Japan, just check out two to three women and you're good.

Sam DiMascio (40:40)
Yeah, I think that's probably pretty solid. I'll get you kind of what you need.

Dan Rice (40:44)
Okay. Where's me? Any you watch any wrestling outside of the country of Japan?

Sam DiMascio (40:51)
I watched the Ring of Honor from January. It's not good. Didn't like it, so I don't need talk about it. ⁓ then ⁓ tried to watch some things on the independent wrestling television, ⁓ formerly known as PowerBomb.tv. ⁓ shout out Adam Lash. And also not very good. ⁓ thought

Okay, if Darien Bengston's gonna be in a good match, maybe it's probably gonna be the Kevin Coom match from action this year. That feels like. No. No, it's not. Wouldn't recommend. Don't go out of your way to see it. And

Yeah, not a good use of my time. Not a good use of my time.

Dan Rice (41:46)
it's funny you said that because today I tried to watch two matches on IW TV. I tried to watch a this one's my fault, but I tried to watch a crazy Steve versus Slim J match.

Sam DiMascio (41:55)
Okay. Yeah, that'll do it.

Dan Rice (41:57)
I just I like Slim Jay so much I thought let me check this out. No, you don't no one should no one should watch that. No, that's ⁓ that's viral pro wrestling. That's like one of the only ones that ⁓ that Slim J will show up in nowadays. ⁓ and then I watched ⁓ Amira versus ⁓ Cole Rivera for DOA wrestling out of Portland, Oregon. The show was 1010. Amira and Cole Rivera have

Sam DiMascio (42:01)
What brush is that? That sounds like a Southern Honor joint, but you're telling me it's not. Mm, no no, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

Dan Rice (42:24)
They've interacted a lot. They've had a bunch of single matches and tag matches and triple thets are always very good. This was a two out of three falls match. It is the worst they've ever done together. Don't watch it.

Pto (42:34)
Wasn't planning on it.

Sam DiMascio (42:36)
The Indies, they're good.

Dan Rice (42:36)
I know, but it's easy word. Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (42:40)
What have they done? How where have we gone so wrong?

Dan Rice (42:49)
How do we fix it? Us, the four of us in this room.

Sam DiMascio (42:50)
How do we fix it? Fixing the indies, my new blog series coming in the middle of funk and fall. Yes. Doing the work 2.0.

Pto (42:56)
Doing the work.

Dan Rice (43:00)
It would.

Pto (43:01)
What what lessons can modern indies take from two CW's glory days?

Sam DiMascio (43:06)
Everyone's asking it.

Dan Rice (43:06)
I like it. If you actually read it, it seems like two C W back in the day may have been a form of torture.

Sam DiMascio (43:15)
⁓

chris (43:16)
Yeah, why is why isn't it slick Wagner Brown on all these shows?

Pto (43:20)
my God, I've been saying that in April Hunter.

Sam DiMascio (43:20)
The underground king.

Mm.

Dan Rice (43:24)
I have now updated it so every post pork is ever done is in the pork corner.

Sam DiMascio (43:29)
Yep. Yeah. The category the category I just created. ⁓ good. Thank you. Thank you. Appreciate it. Appreciate it.

Dan Rice (43:33)
Yeah, I went ahead and and updated all the old posts. We're good.

Pto (43:38)
God bless.

Dan Rice (43:39)
Pork, if the next thing you put up is not tagged in the pork corner, I will immediately take it off the site. Hard delete. Somehow deletes it from his hard drive too.

Sam DiMascio (43:43)
Delete it. Hard delete.

Ooh, well he probably deletes it immediately from his hard drive as soon as he presses a post on our website.

Dan Rice (43:58)
I kinda jumped in there saying, was there any more wrestling you needed to speak about?

Sam DiMascio (44:01)
No, I don't think so. Wrestling I've decided to watch twenty twenty six wrestling to be p part of the conversation. 'Cause you know me. I like to I like to be topical. That's what they would say about me.

chris (44:14)
Do but

That's all I say about you.

Sam DiMascio (44:18)
Thank you. I appreciate it. I play video games from two thousand and nine and watch wrestling from twenty twenty six and that's all there is to know about me.

But no, nothing else.

Dan Rice (44:31)
Well, I guess I'll just carry on then since I've already started blabbing about my shit. I watched boring stuff. Also isn't worth talking about. Like I watched those. I watched I watched from the Wrestle Dream show. Motor City Machine Guns versus FTR far too long. What are we doing? ⁓ Mercedes Money versus Tecla. I was really excited for that one. Not either, not either woman's best work.

Pto (44:58)
Did people get mad about Tecla doing something there?

Dan Rice (45:01)
⁓ I can't be involved in what's going on at women's wrestling Twitter, but I think she walked out of the ring and was not selling enough and was flicking off Mercedes Monet Monet. But then some people were seemed like they were saying it was fine. I don't know. It doesn't seem like it's real.

Pto (45:18)
Okay.

Dan Rice (45:20)
⁓ and then that after that, the next match was Nick Wayne versus Jericho, so I immediately stopped watching that show. from ⁓ the other big show people are talking about, but we always get the big shows on here. New Japan King of Pro Wrestling. Aaron Wolf was overrated, but this match was really fucking good. Kose Fujita. ⁓ never open weight title match. I have no want, even when they bring in like the AD IVs I watch, I just I can't.

Imagine wanting to get involved in New Japan in twenty twenty six. Like this has there was a Hechacero Oleg Bolton tag team. I'm not gonna watch that. ⁓ they're bringing my boy Mystico in. I'm probably not gonna watch any of his stuff. But I think I'll watch whatever Aaron Wolf does next because this was really cool.

Pto (46:07)
I saw someone on the Discord say that he is one of the best sellers in the world. Is that true?

Dan Rice (46:07)
⁓ and then I

I love our Discord so much. It's he is the best.

Pto (46:18)
⁓

Dan Rice (46:19)
Yeah. A Terry funk when it comes to selling.

Sam DiMascio (46:22)
O

chris (46:24)
One of the money.

Dan Rice (46:25)
And that's what I'm gonna talk about in the 1982 post. Aaron Wolf, who definitely wasn't born yet, right? No, there's no way. No, he's a little baby. Okay. ⁓

chris (46:28)
Just talk about Aaron Wolf.

Absolutely not.

Dan Rice (46:39)
and then I watched ⁓ I watched the Dragon Gate show from September. What is this called? Do No, but sometimes I like this I like to see what's going on in Dragon Gate. And I will say, of the th three shows I just said, the the New Japan show where I watched one match, the AEW show where I watched two matches, I watched one, two, three matches before quitting. And DG. It was

Sam DiMascio (46:44)
No, why'd you do that?

Dan Rice (47:08)
Pretty good. Suzuki versus ⁓ Jiro Shimbashi. I still like that Jiro. I he still cracks me up. I'm done with Suzuki, but I if you're gonna put him in little comedy matches like this, it's worth it. And then Love and Peace faced ⁓ Horuchi, Kanchiro Rai, and Yoshushi Kanda. And I thought this was fucking great. It reminds me that I really like ⁓ Jackie Kamei so much. I might have to like ask Aemon or somebody just to tell me which matches to watch so I don't have to do more of this. Because then I tried to watch the next match, which is

Ishan and Cato versus El Silo and Luis Monte and this was

Pto (47:42)
Now, as I recall, you helped decide that Jackie Kamei was part of like tag team of the year or whatever we did there.

Dan Rice (47:48)
Yeah, yeah, and this year I've watched one of his matches. Yeah. But that was a really good match, so like that's in his favor. It might be bad for him if I watch more. You know what I'm saying?

Pto (47:51)
Okay.

chris (47:59)
It's hard to argue with that.

Dan Rice (48:01)
It's like I've watched one match where he's good. So right now, love and peace, they're probably gonna be, I might have to add him to the doc.

Pto (48:10)
The doc that ⁓ that we are gonna talk about on the podcast without showing anyone.

Dan Rice (48:10)
but yeah, that's all the rest.

chris (48:15)
Yeah, who's editing it loud right now? Can

Sam DiMascio (48:19)
Trust us, there's a lot going on in that that document. So it'd be hard to really properly grapple with.

chris (48:25)
Describe yeah, yeah, true, true, true.

Dan Rice (48:28)
it's group of the year, not tag team. So I can definitely put love and peace. Doing it right now. What a good group.

Pto (48:33)
I we should definitely have like ten nominees for that because it's a hundred percent not going to the Death Riders with zero discussion.

Dan Rice (48:41)
Yeah. Yeah, okay. How much Vandal forty eight have you seen?

Sam DiMascio (48:42)
Haven't seen any Death Riders this year, so ⁓

Pto (48:45)
they got they got Ooh.

Sam DiMascio (48:49)
I I gotta say none. Gosh Appreciate it.

Dan Rice (48:52)
I'll fix that. Don't worry, I'll send you some links.

Pto (48:54)
Did you know that Eddie only is back?

Sam DiMascio (48:58)
did know this. I did know this. Yes, he's in my document somewhere.

Dan Rice (48:58)
Sam, do you n do you know who Eddie only is? Okay.

Sam DiMascio (49:07)
Yeah. I don't I recall him like as a human. Doesn't exist.

Pto (49:11)
So I d I don't I don't wanna give a certain promotion too much free press here. But Dan, did you watch the Eddie only singles match the night after the war game? Yeah.

Dan Rice (49:18)
The versus Slade. I have not seen it yet. I want to.

Pto (49:22)
Eddie is trying so hard, man, but like it's just, you know, kind of like he doesn't have his in-ring cardio back. So

Dan Rice (49:29)
It seems like the watching him in the war games, it really seems like they actually just called him up and they're like, Could you please do this?

Pto (49:36)
Yeah, maybe. I mean, but like he's doing his best, but he's just huffing and puffing and sweating so much. And then after like Slate choke slam him choke slams him onto some light tubes, starts setting up something else, and then you can see on camera like Eddie only like call him over and say something. And then Slate just pins him then and there. So hopefully he's not like injured in his second match back.

Sam DiMascio (50:04)
Alright, I have my review from twenty eighteen for Kevin Cooper's Eddie Only and SUP pulled up. And my one note here is Eddie Only has my least favorite look possibly ever.

Pto (50:11)
Okay.

he's bald now. He's got like bam bam ⁓ head tattoos.

Sam DiMascio (50:20)
Alright.

May th many things have changed. I'll revisit and get back to you.

Dan Rice (50:29)
He ⁓ he's like ⁓ he's like, you know, a guy who does tattoos and owns like a trading card store and owns ferrets. So he's exactly who you think he is.

Sam DiMascio (50:39)
Everyone and their mother owns a trading card store these days.

Dan Rice (50:42)
It's true.

Pto (50:43)
There's a guy on my post I think I mentioned this on the show. There's a guy on my route who is like doing one from his apartment. And he gets so many goddamn signature required deliveries.

Sam DiMascio (50:49)
I don't think you should do that.

That's good.

Dan Rice (50:59)
Well he's gotta the fucking PSA got robbed. I'm up I'm up to date on the news.

Pto (51:00)
I mean yeah, no, it's yeah. Yeah, no, and it's just like yeah, half the time it's just like, all right, like I don't necessarily wanna drive around with this like box from Wizards of the Coast. I don't wanna like leave it in my car where someone might see it.

Sam DiMascio (51:14)
Yeah.

Seems dangerous.

Dan Rice (51:24)
Right. Chris, you gotta stop talking so much. What kind of wrestling you've watched?

chris (51:28)
I

Pto (51:29)
Alright, that's enough.

chris (51:33)
There we there we go. We did it.

no, I watched some lucha.

Dan Rice (51:39)
Fuck yeah.

chris (51:42)
⁓ yeah, so I I have finally listened to Nick yeoman and I've dove into the Relumpago versus impossible feud.

Pto (51:59)
I need to get into that. I like what I've seen.

chris (52:01)
Yeah, I watched three matches from that feud plus like some other ⁓ matches that are not from that feud from those shows. ⁓ mostly at ⁓ Penta's promotion.

⁓ but the f like the first one that I saw that I found ⁓ found a video for is the best one I've seen so far, which is the I think it was the first match that really heated the feud up. I think they were on opposite like they were tagging at the start of the year and they might have like one or two ⁓ where they're going at it, but

This was the first one I I saw footage of, which is Atomic Star and Impossible versus Intenso and Ray Lumpago, which ends in a double count out. It's a ton of fun. ⁓ like brawling everyone brawling all throughout the ring, like

The stuff between Impossible and Railampago is so good that you forget that there's like two other guys also brawling around the ring. And like I I like Atomic Star a lot. And I was like, yeah, he's in the match too. ⁓ but yeah, really heated, really bloody good, good shit. from that same show I watched the main main event which

was ⁓ Cybernetico and ⁓ Pig Decapitator versus Demonio Infernal and Skyda, which was not as good.

you you can you twenty twenty six Ceburnautico main event, you you can fill in the blanks. It it's not as bad as it could have been. Yeah. ⁓ then I watched some of ⁓ Invasion Indy ⁓ from March eighth. ⁓ this one in Posible is

Sam DiMascio (54:08)
Mm-hmm.

chris (54:25)
tagging with Taquero Maldito Jr. and Ray Lampago is tagging with ⁓ Lobito. And that's a that's a fun one. It's not nearly as

Like the highs are not as high, but there's still some really good brawling in there. ⁓

I also just decided to watch the main event of that show, which was Blue Demon Jr. and Blue Demon the Third versus ⁓ Tejano and Supernova. And I might have fallen asleep for part of that match. It's impossible to tell when you're watching Supernova and Tejano.

Pto (55:12)
Yeah.

chris (55:17)
And blue demon's shitty son.

Pto (55:21)
Yeah, I was about to ask, you know, Blue Demon Three, we were di anything worth looking at there?

chris (55:27)
Not that I've seen. ⁓ from when I was rounding up to this year, I have not seen much from Blue Demon Trace.

but the tag match it it's not as fun, but it is it is like worth the time if ⁓ you w you just need more of the of the heated feud. And then I watched ⁓ another ⁓ Arena Del Via show. ⁓

Which this one was Los Diabolicos versus ⁓ Atomic Star and Impossible versus Intenso and Relumpago versus Pura Santa Dos and Axefly. And

The the start of the match is cut off, but what you get is a lot of insane dives and ⁓ concerning blood loss and stretcher jobs that turn into like beatdowns to the point where you're not you're not sure ⁓ what is work or shoot in the situation and by that

I mean to say it is a beautiful match ⁓ that you can watch now. ⁓ there's also a fun ⁓ match with Trauma Dos and ⁓ Ray Horace.

⁓ and that main event, which has multiple high cage match ratings, ⁓ is Demonio Infernal and Pirilh Jr. versus ⁓ Frasero Jr. and Trauma Uno, which I don't know if the people rating this match highly just have never seen negotio traumato before.

And it's novel to them, but I mean it's fine. But there's a ten. There's a ten on cage match. I mean Yeah. I mean Croak gave it a ten. I mean, what did you expect? Just look at the wrestlers on the match and you'll realize how good it was. That's a fair point. I can't argue with that.

Dan Rice (57:42)
I'm shocked it has ratings at all.

Pto (58:01)
I've never argued with the cage match rating ever.

chris (58:05)
Yeah, I ca I can't.

Pto (58:08)
If you are knowledgeable enough to not be banned just for rating things, then you know your shit.

chris (58:15)
Yeah, if you have not been if you have not been banned for thought crime on Cagematch.net

I also watched like there was some AEW in there, but I don't remember it. And I watched a lot of ⁓ clips of

G CW and Deep South and the Women's Money in the Bank match, but I haven't actually watched those matches, but I saw a lot of clips and I enjoyed all of them.

Pto (58:54)
Yeah, it looks like the Carnage Cup is out. We gotta we gotta get on that.

Dan Rice (58:54)
Hell yeah.

chris (58:58)
Yeah, that's next big next week's big top.

Dan Rice (58:58)
Big top.

Pto (59:02)
Next week is a secret talking tourney.

Dan Rice (59:05)
All right, Pat. What about you? What did you watch this week?

Pto (59:07)
I didn't watch a ton. I I watched I don't know if it's gonna make it into the episode. I just watched that Eo de Fishman match in Arena San Juan Pantiquan where he threatened to do a package pile driver to a referee. ⁓ not much going on. Ro Cambola Jr. is in it and he's just kinda bumblefucking around, ⁓ Fresero Jr. All these guys were like I should like this more than I do, considering they're probably all drunk or high.

Just going around brawling and bleeding. I'm like, this should be awesome, and yet I don't know. That said, I did watch Sadika and Ovet Jr. versus Lunatic Extreme and Reyna Oscura. Another must-see chapter in this feud. there are three explosions in this match. There are a lot of like those really dangerous skinny light tubes, like it.

chris (59:59)
Hell yeah.

Pto (1:00:04)
You've ever seen that gif of one just going right through someone's arm? There are a lot of those. ⁓ there is in a Lucha Extrema a quadruple count out finish.

chris (1:00:08)
Mm-hmm.

Dan Rice (1:00:16)
I was gonna say I just pulled it up on Cage Match. I am shocked by the finish. Who could have imagined?

Pto (1:00:20)
Okay, no, the the finish, like fast forward if you don't want to know the finish of the match, but it is amazing because after like blowing each other up with bombs and light tubes and all this shit, ⁓ all four of them are on the apron and you know how they'll do like that suplex spot where two people are gonna give one person a suplex, so another person runs in and then they give the original two the suplex. You know what I'm talking about? Like that kind of like reversal thing.

⁓ they try to do that with Russian leg sweeps. And depending on which angle, because there are a bunch of fan games of this out. None of them are perfect. I think the best one I saw was on a channel called Lucha Mania. But you can see like there is not enough clearance for them. Like all four of them are standing on the apron, and I'm like just eyeballing the distance between the ring apron and the guardrail. And I'm like, that's not good.

And it's not. Like all four of them hit their head.

and then they all get counted out and all they all package pile drive all the package pile drive the referee. They don't actually do that, but they might as well.

Dan Rice (1:01:32)
⁓ left.

Pto (1:01:34)
It's just another just fucking demented match. ⁓ Sadika's back.

chris (1:01:41)
In a big way.

Pto (1:01:42)
You know, big I mean, she's bigger than ever, baby.

chris (1:01:45)
That's what we love.

Dan Rice (1:01:51)
I don't think I realised that Steve that's I didn't realize that Steve Payne was backing around.

Pto (1:01:51)
other than that

Ooh.

Dan Rice (1:01:56)
Now we're talking.

chris (1:01:57)
Maybe wrestling is back.

Dan Rice (1:02:00)
Yeah.

Pto (1:02:00)
I mean we just gotta we gotta go south of the border. It's been back all along.

chris (1:02:03)
Mm-hmm.

Dan Rice (1:02:04)
Okay.

He never left us. All right, you guys want to get into the big top then? Just go right to it.

chris (1:02:12)
Let's do it.

Pto (1:02:13)
Yeah, let's do it.

Dan Rice (1:02:15)
Right. Our big top people have been clamoring for it. This is round four of the Violent People Hall of Fame.

Let me go ahead and tell you who's in it in case you're somehow unfamiliar. You maybe you haven't checked the site. Well, we definitely have a page dedicated to all this information.

Sam DiMascio (1:02:28)
Ha ha

Pto (1:02:35)
We're still working on the the physical location.

Dan Rice (1:02:35)
Aja Kong.

I'm trying to yeah, trying to get the right property that's like pinpointed exactly between every co-host house.

Pto (1:02:45)
And you're gonna get a tenant who lives there to like take care of it.

Dan Rice (1:02:49)
That way we can like he's taking care of it, but also he's paying our mortgage. It's like it's a good little scam.

Pto (1:02:53)
Exactly.

Dan Rice (1:02:58)
Aja Kong, Antonio Noki, Atsushi Onida, Black Terry, Dean, not John Moxley, ⁓ Eddie Kingston, Jinchiro Tenru, Jay Briscoe, John Cena, June Kasai, LA Park, Loki, Mark Briscoe, Necro Butcher, New Jack, Sabu, Samoa Joe, Super Dragon, Terry Funk, Vader, Yoshihiro Takeyama, Yuki Ishikawa.

I mean, with one obvious exception, that's a hell of a fucking Hall of Fame.

Pto (1:03:32)
Yeah, I'm not sure how Yuki Shikawa made it in.

Dan Rice (1:03:36)
Actually I'm looking I there's I don't there's actually two people that I'd take out if I was in charge. We don't need to get into it. ⁓ I mean Junkasai, we're being a little cute, right?

Sam DiMascio (1:03:41)
Who's the number two?

Ha ha ha.

All right, fair enough, fair enough, fair enough.

Pto (1:03:48)
I was good. I was I was trying to think who's the second woman?

Dan Rice (1:03:53)
I've nominated more women than anyone on this panel. It's not my fault that the voters hate women and luchadors.

⁓ as always, anyone nominated from the last class that didn't get in is ineligible this time. ⁓ and then that means that people that were ineligible last time are back on the board. I'm not gonna read all those names, but you're all big fans, you know. We're gonna do each of us gets five picks, snake draft, start with Pat, then Chris, then Sam, then Dan, back around.

Pto (1:04:27)
we're starting with me, okay. ⁓

I gotta so I didn't did any of you prepare your lists ahead of time?

Dan Rice (1:04:38)
I did.

Pto (1:04:39)
Okay, I'm just going with in the moment what feels right and I'm gonna try to guess who Dan picked so I can you know, cheat him out of his picks. So I feel relatively certain that Dan's first pick is going to be Paige. So I'm nominating Paige.

Dan Rice (1:04:55)
You know me so freaking well. Now can I still mar nominate Soraya?

Pto (1:05:01)
I think so, said

Dan Rice (1:05:03)
Okay. What a great first one off the board.

Pto (1:05:06)
Espe though I don't know who that is 'cause her name is Saraya.

Dan Rice (1:05:09)
damn it.

Whatever. ⁓

Pto (1:05:13)
You can nominate Britney Knight.

Dan Rice (1:05:16)
Now we're talking.

Pto (1:05:17)
Yeah, let's get let's let's really fucking shimmer it up this time.

Dan Rice (1:05:21)
I have on my list of maybes, I have some on the wrestling shimmer.

Chris, what do you

chris (1:05:29)
⁓ the only one I actually thought of because I saw people talking ⁓ talking about him today and I was just like Yeah, he he works as ⁓ a candidate is Greg the Hammer Valentine.

Sam DiMascio (1:05:46)
There you

Dan Rice (1:05:51)
No issues with that one.

Pto (1:05:57)
Now sp to be specific, that's for his work in like the twenty first century, right?

chris (1:06:01)
Yeah.

Dan Rice (1:06:02)
Heroes of Wrestling.

chris (1:06:05)
Yeah, ⁓ like pretty much especially like post nineteen ninety s like especially after WCW.

Pto (1:06:14)
I mean the the thing with Greg Valentine is that his career is just getting warmed up. He's just gotta like he's gotta take his time to build up ahead of steam. So like the first twenty, thirty years of his career was doing that.

chris (1:06:27)
Yeah, it was basically nonsense.

Pto (1:06:29)
Now he's finally in the groove.

Dan Rice (1:06:29)
Now here's I'm I'm pulling up Greg Valentine's cage match here. Here's a tag team that I didn't know came together, but obviously makes sense. Greg Valentine and Greg Excellent.

I just think

Sam DiMascio (1:06:43)
No, I don't like that. I I don't like that you said that actually.

Dan Rice (1:06:46)
Well after that, the next match after that, he teams with Colt Caban and Honky Tonk Man. So just a guy who has lots of great partners.

chris (1:06:47)
I love that you said that.

Dan Rice (1:07:01)
All right, Sam, who do you got that's better than Greg Valentine?

Sam DiMascio (1:07:03)
Giving it to an all-star of violentpeople.co, the man who gets clicks, Ken Shamer.

chris (1:07:17)
I mean the the resume speaks for itself.

Sam DiMascio (1:07:22)
Truly. Truly.

chris (1:07:22)
Mm. Keeping the site alive.

Dan Rice (1:07:25)
Exp the only reason the lights are even on.

Sam DiMascio (1:07:29)
wouldn't have continued the site if it didn't post that. And you know what? That was a Tanner idea too, just like Funk and Fall.

Dan Rice (1:07:32)
How much?

When you're right, you're right.

chris (1:07:38)
Damn it, the man gets results.

Sam DiMascio (1:07:41)
He's an ideas guy. Like nobody else.

Dan Rice (1:07:42)
It is it is the including the home page and the podcast page, the fourth most visited page in the history of our site. People love it.

I feel like now this is gonna be a pivot, you can tell already. ⁓ I'm gonna nominate Roos.

Pto (1:08:03)
great. We can't wait. Who are you nominating? Okay.

Dan Rice (1:08:07)
Roosh, just great, great fucking posting.

Pto (1:08:11)
So you're nominating him specifically for his posting career?

Dan Rice (1:08:12)
sh. It's only his work on Twitter. None of his entering work counts. ⁓ I did allow Tanner to get a vote in here. He's gonna go ahead and nominate Robert. Orchid tried to nominate someone, but she tried to nominate Tanner, and I will not allow that. Yeah, I'm gonna just I will just delete this whole spreadsheet before I write that down. ⁓ shit, snakedraft, that brings it back to me again. ⁓

Sam DiMascio (1:08:30)
Go ahead and nix that. Nip it right in the bud.

Dan Rice (1:08:40)
Give me Mike Awesome.

Pto (1:08:45)
Okay. Some call him the Greg Valentine of ECW.

Dan Rice (1:08:50)
I see it.

Sam DiMascio (1:08:54)
Alright, I'm up next and admit, timing of this one is unfortunate, but the case is the case. So ⁓ heo defishman. Put him up get him on the board. You don't even feel like that.

chris (1:09:08)
I mean I I feel like the timing couldn't be better.

Pto (1:09:12)
He has

Dan Rice (1:09:12)
That that does not feel like you think the timing is unfortunate.

Sam DiMascio (1:09:19)
It's unfortunate. What can you say?

Dan Rice (1:09:21)
I just don't believe that you believe that, but all right.

Pto (1:09:26)
Really, Dan, it's gonna be up it's gonna be up to the voters in this game. They might say the timing is too unfortunate, or they might say, like

Sam DiMascio (1:09:26)
The the short the transcript will say.

Dan Rice (1:09:31)
Yeah. Well I'll tell ya

When they find out that he's Hispanic, he's not making it.

Pto (1:09:39)
yeah, well yeah. I mean he's got a mask on, so they have no idea they can't prove he's Mexican.

Dan Rice (1:09:42)
Who w who do we got? We have just Black Terry and he had to die. ⁓ no, we got part two, sorry.

Pto (1:09:48)
Yeah. It took two tries for Park though.

Dan Rice (1:09:50)
We took two tries for park. Jesus Christ. I hate everyone who listens to the show. Love you guys. Chris, you got any murders you wanna put on there? A legend?

chris (1:10:00)
⁓ not not yet. We'll see how this goes.

Sam DiMascio (1:10:05)
I also want to say exonerated. Like just innocent. Didn't happen.

chris (1:10:11)
No need a need the need the graphic. Totally exonerated, no wrongdoing.

Dan Rice (1:10:13)
Sam's next pick, OJ Simpson.

Sam DiMascio (1:10:14)
Yeah.

Dan Rice (1:10:25)
I think

chris (1:10:31)
⁓

Let's let's try let's try Santo again.

Pto (1:10:43)
You mean El El Santo, the Santo Junior, the grandson?

Dan Rice (1:10:43)
yeah, he's back on the board.

chris (1:10:47)
Yes.

Dan Rice (1:10:51)
wait, I gave Sam that pick. I don't know how this works. There you go.

It'd be really funny if we just nominated every single person from this back on the board list. We're like, motherfuckers, put him in.

Sam DiMascio (1:11:04)
Yeah.

Pto (1:11:04)
Ha

is it me?

Dan Rice (1:11:10)
Yeah, you get two back to back. It's pretty tough to top page.

Pto (1:11:12)
Okay, so first one ⁓ no, I've I think I can do it. ⁓ you know Sam nominated a pretty unsavory character, I think we can all agree. ⁓ so I ⁓ yeah, man, Italian. But I feel like I need to take things in a more wholesome direction, someone who's done a lot to uplift the wrestling world. And

Dan Rice (1:11:24)
Yeah. Kin Shamra.

Ha ha.

Pto (1:11:41)
You guys might, you know, call me out 'cause I this might be kind of a tangential case 'cause this is more for like cultural contributions to wrestling. But I'm gonna say Marilyn Manson for doing the SmackDown opening theme song for like two thousand one.

Sam DiMascio (1:11:57)
When you're right, you're right.

Dan Rice (1:11:57)
You know? Yeah. It's like I can't say they never had a match because Dean never had a match, as far as I know. So I've already opened the floodgates. Why don't you put Dean in, Mary Lamanson's

Pto (1:12:10)
And no one's gonna listen to this podcast, so they're gonna see Marilyn Manson on the ballot and just be like, What?

Sam DiMascio (1:12:15)
Of course.

Dan Rice (1:12:16)
Well, first off, a lot of people listen to this podcast. That's why we have so many ad reads, but go on.

Pto (1:12:21)
fair enough. Okay, and my second one, ⁓ let's get back to scumbags. I'm gonna pick Orange Crush.

Sam DiMascio (1:12:28)
Got them.

Dan Rice (1:12:28)
God.

chris (1:12:33)
That's that's wild.

Dan Rice (1:12:35)
Here's the thing. Pat's three people, if you told me right now that they all did a podcast together, I'd be like, yep.

Sam DiMascio (1:12:42)
Obviously, of course.

Pto (1:12:42)
I would listen to that podcast.

Sam DiMascio (1:12:45)
we know. We know. Also yes.

Dan Rice (1:12:48)
listen to you talk about that podcast.

Pto (1:12:50)
Yeah, it's like I would listen to it just so I could tell Dan about it.

chris (1:12:56)
So that that's wild because like before you even said that, I had my next pick locked in and it's Brett Lauderdale, he's back. Brett is back, and he's on the ballot.

Sam DiMascio (1:13:09)
Wow. I love that. Okay. This is good.

Pto (1:13:13)
All right, this is this is where the voting body has to decide whether they love

Sam DiMascio (1:13:17)
This is so funny because I was also thinking a promoter for my pick. So, Dan, you have a lot of responsibility to keep this up. ⁓ I'm obviously picking John Thor.

Dan Rice (1:13:26)
my god.

⁓ you that's so shitty. That's immediately where my brain went, you know it.

All right, give me a second. Give me a second.

Sam DiMascio (1:13:41)
L Legendary AIW Promoter.

Dan Rice (1:13:45)
God.

Sam DiMascio (1:13:46)
Brought AIW to warp tour, you know? So

Dan Rice (1:13:48)
Let me say, John Thorne probably has more YouTube hits on his weird intergender Haley Hatred matches than most of your fucking indie favorites do.

Pto (1:13:59)
You know, I I've I'm thinking about can I can I edit my Marilyn Manson pick? I think I I think it would be more important ⁓ to put drowning pool.

Dan Rice (1:14:05)
Get depends.

chris (1:14:10)
Yeah, I I f I think we can accept that.

Pto (1:14:11)
Yeah, I I wouldn't ask unless I felt strongly about

Dan Rice (1:14:12)
Shit. Yeah, I think that makes sense.

Okay. Now you guys might not not allow this. Is it possible for me to nominate Gabe Sapolski just for WWE ID?

Pto (1:14:27)
I think you could nominate the WWE ID program as a concept.

Dan Rice (1:14:32)
Okay, okay. I'll do that. I want it back to me again. ⁓ I wanna kinda go off the Kinshamrock thing. So I'd like to nominate Mago Magumi Fuji.

shit, there's a bracket there. I don't know about a spell.

Sam DiMascio (1:14:51)
That's not how you spell it.

Dan Rice (1:14:53)
Yeah. I'm not even sure if that's how you say her last name, because I feel like in for wrestling they don't do that, but in Bellator they always called Fuji E, so

Are you kidding me? She was almost the inaugural champ. She got fucking screwed by Zoila Frasto. Fausto?

Pto (1:15:16)
Did Scott Coker ever announce his new thing? Was it? Okay.

Sam DiMascio (1:15:19)
Yeah. It's called low key.

Dan Rice (1:15:23)
Yeah, they're teasing me. They're fucking teases. They know what they're doing.

Sam DiMascio (1:15:33)
⁓ Bruce Hart.

We get five, right? Cool. Cool. Yep.

Dan Rice (1:15:45)
Yeah. Because Orkin backed out.

Pto (1:15:58)
I I got distracted. Who's who's up? I'm sorry. Okay.

chris (1:15:59)
It's it's ⁓

Dan Rice (1:16:00)
It's Chris, sorry. We're all scrambling. This has been a crazy draft. My board's my board I just erased my whole board. I I fired one of my fucking employees. Yeah. They they fucked me on that fucking John Thorne pick.

chris (1:16:05)
Shambles. Shambles. You have to

Sam DiMascio (1:16:07)
Ha ha ha.

chris (1:16:11)
Yeah, the scouting department is getting revamped here.

Dan Rice (1:16:25)
Chris, what are you thinking?

It'd be really funny to clock ya and take the pick.

Sorry, that's just it's a serious business.

chris (1:16:36)
It is it is and I I I respect the game and that's why I'm I'm taking all the possible calls right now for trades.

Dan Rice (1:16:47)
Or Orca is trying her best to get fucking Tanner on the ballot. She's calling us all.

chris (1:16:53)
Two future firsts?

Dan Rice (1:16:58)
Makes you think.

I would do it for two future first and then like one of Tanner's votes on the goady gang top ten.

chris (1:17:07)
⁓

⁓ I think right here, right now.

You know, we've we've had some fun and games, but we do need to correct some of the just wild ⁓ crimes of the voter base in polls past. And how the fuck did Mick Foley not make it the first time around?

Sam DiMascio (1:17:40)
It's true.

Dan Rice (1:17:40)
It's very funny.

now you when you say McFoley, you mean just the way he acts around women? Okay.

chris (1:17:47)
Yes.

Sam DiMascio (1:17:50)
Just normal.

chris (1:17:50)
and stand up comedian Nick Nick Foley.

Dan Rice (1:17:53)
Ha ha.

Sam DiMascio (1:17:53)
Mm.

Dan Rice (1:17:56)
Will will either the Nims make it back to me?

Tough.

Pat, your last two picks, you the f the recap real fast, you have page, drowning pool, and orange crush.

Pto (1:18:14)
I'm gonna go with Yoshihiko, the doll from D D T.

chris (1:18:19)
Great pick. Great value here. Yep.

Dan Rice (1:18:21)
I spell that right, Leggets? Okay.

Pto (1:18:22)
⁓

It's spelled Yoshi and then Hiko. ⁓ and I gotta make my last one good.

So I can't do anyone that'll make people get mad at me.

This is tough.

I probably should have written some names down before doing this. I'm gonna say Chris Benoit's creepy son, the alive one. I don't remember the the one with the dead eyed stare. Who's ac but who's the dead-eyed stare in an alive body.

Sam DiMascio (1:18:55)
Here we go. There we go.

Dan Rice (1:18:56)
Is that Daniel or is Daniel dead?

Wanna make sure that I get the sun right here. ⁓

chris (1:19:08)
Daniel I think Daniel is the Yes. David is the

Pto (1:19:08)
I think I think Daniel is the dead one.

Sam DiMascio (1:19:11)
Just

Dan Rice (1:19:11)
Okay, so David Benoit.

Sam DiMascio (1:19:13)
Yeah. Just Google Benoit alive, there should only be one.

Pto (1:19:14)
Yes.

Dan Rice (1:19:24)
Hey, somebody ⁓ so this is I think I'm skipping ahead to one of the questions, but pork's like, ⁓ when I Google PB and J Rubin, what did they say? Something weird came up. But people are always doing that where I'm like, Google caters to you. You're making it weird. Like David Vixen's man on like Blue Sky being like, when I Google, all this porn comes up, I'm like, buddy.

Sam DiMascio (1:19:39)
Ha ha ha.

You're telling on yourself.

Dan Rice (1:19:48)
No, you don't need to do that. When I when I Googled Bunwa Alive, Googled AI Media says no Chris Benoit is not alive.

Pto (1:19:50)
Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (1:19:56)
Good, you did it again. You're so right. You are so right.

Dan Rice (1:20:03)
All right. I think that takes us to Chris's last pick. Did you want Daniel Benoit or you want to think about it?

chris (1:20:10)
I no, I'm

Pto (1:20:10)
⁓

Sam DiMascio (1:20:13)
I thought you were asking Chris if you want Daniel.

Pto (1:20:15)
⁓ okay.

Dan Rice (1:20:15)
No, I am, because it's Daniel's still on the board. No, no. That says David. That's locked in. Pat already changed drowning pool. We can't let him be changing everybody, you know?

Pto (1:20:22)
Yeah, no, I I can't do it again, no. And I I stand by I think David has contributed a lot to the wrestling discourse, when he takes selfies at shows.

Dan Rice (1:20:32)
Did he argue with Jordan Grace like everyone does?

Pto (1:20:35)
I mean, probably.

Dan Rice (1:20:38)
Can I imagine that? That feels like there was a Jordan Grace David Moore thing.

Pto (1:20:40)
Alright. David Benoit, Jordan Grace.

Dan Rice (1:20:45)
y because Jordan Grace said Benoit couldn't keep up with modern wrestling. She apologized and donated five thousand dollars to a charity. That's funny.

You posted yourself out of five grand.

Pto (1:20:56)
What I mean I I saw those things where Jordan Grace is like they have no plans for her and she's doing bodybuilding competitions and stuff like that. And my immediate instinct was like, ⁓ like they hired her just to keep her away from AEW, even though I'm pretty sure AEW doesn't didn't have any interest in her. And then like they met her and dealt with her and were just like, Ooh, okay, you can you know, we don't need you for money in the bank that bad. That's okay.

Dan Rice (1:21:26)
I think I probably told this story, but I was on Instagram for some reason at like 130 in the morning and ⁓ shit, Gresham was doing a live and I pop in and he's talking about like sneaking away and lying to his wife to eat fast food.

Pto (1:21:42)
she's gonna beat his ass for that.

Dan Rice (1:21:44)
And I like, what a gr what a great life.

Pto (1:21:49)
The craziest thing I've ever seen in wrestling was when Gresham had to like go on Twitter and be like, No, my wife does not call me the N W.

Dan Rice (1:21:58)
Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (1:21:59)
Good thing to clarify. Good thing to clarify.

Pto (1:22:00)
I mean it was just it like somehow it just took off that like people were just posting like, yeah, you know, Jordan Grace calls her husband the N word. And he like was just like, How do I deal with this in the way that brings the most attention to it possible?

Dan Rice (1:22:19)
A dad on one of the of my nephew's football team said one of the players was calling him racist, and he's like, I don't know what to do. I can't go around saying I'm not racist.

Chris, you got anybody yet? I feel like, you we've given you a lot of good ideas.

chris (1:22:32)
I no yeah, I was I was g giving the riff some space. I know exactly who I'm picking. ⁓ it's Brian Knobbs.

Dan Rice (1:22:37)
Okay. let's hear it.

Pto (1:22:42)
⁓

Sam DiMascio (1:22:44)
Someone didn't know what Brian Obs asshole looked like in our Discord. And I was like, Come on. Well Well, I r who was the person on this podcast? It was one of you, I believe, that had never seen Finley's dick.

Dan Rice (1:22:48)
That's what a good life they live.

chris (1:22:50)
That's

I think that was Orchid.

Sam DiMascio (1:22:59)
That's crazy. Dan, you specifically, like that's a C Z EW main step.

Dan Rice (1:22:59)
I had also I had also not seen it.

Pto (1:23:08)
That was a great episode just because I could repeatedly post pictures of fake wrestler dicks, like until Dan got to a point where he just had to spam gibberish into the chat to make them scroll away.

Dan Rice (1:23:08)
I

You know.

I was tired of seeing Dick. This this podcast, we've been 117 episodes. Looked at porn more often than I would have thought.

Pto (1:23:29)
More often than wrestling, to be honest.

Dan Rice (1:23:35)
Sam, so is yours fit finly or is penis, or what are we doing?

Sam DiMascio (1:23:40)
No, I feel like I've gotta pick a real one because I feel like I got a good chance of getting someone I want on here. you you take the shots now, feels like. But yeah.

Dan Rice (1:23:50)
Yeah, I think that we've kind of

Pto (1:23:50)
I

I honestly think none of these are getting in. I think we're gonna have our first ever zero passing the sixty percent threshold.

Dan Rice (1:23:59)
You're gonna feel so silly when King Shamrock gets a hundred percent of the vote.

Sam DiMascio (1:24:03)
I think the problem is y they'll just open it up and close it.

Pto (1:24:04)
I think I think the best bets are the best bets are Ken Shamrock and Drowning Pool.

Dan Rice (1:24:11)
Big two.

chris (1:24:11)
Yeah, McFoley's still on the outs. What the what he ever fucking do?

Sam DiMascio (1:24:15)
Carlos Cologne.

Dan Rice (1:24:18)
shit. All right.

Pto (1:24:19)
I actually do think that Mick Foley will like not get votes because people who are younger just know him as like the creepy guy.

Dan Rice (1:24:30)
So the mean last pick.

Pto (1:24:31)
It's it's like it's like how people will own won't vote for Brock Lesnar because he's a sex pest.

Dan Rice (1:24:36)
he got so little votes, I if I recall.

Pto (1:24:38)
Yeah, he was like like one vote because it was I don't know, I guess a moral issue.

chris (1:24:44)
⁓

Dan Rice (1:24:44)
Well might have we might have just tainted the pool here so much that they're like, I have to vote for bad people.

Sam DiMascio (1:24:48)
We've adjusted the curve appropriately.

Pto (1:24:51)
We should make it so peop yeah, they can't vote for less than whatever. Like you have to you have to pick some people.

chris (1:24:51)
⁓

Dan Rice (1:24:55)
It what's the what's the what's the maximum number of votes? Do you remember Sam or anybody?

Sam DiMascio (1:25:02)
We've changed it like every single time we've done this.

Dan Rice (1:25:04)
Okay, well what do you guys feel like it should be? Pick the why I think of my last person.

Pto (1:25:10)
I think last time it was a s was it a sixty percent threshold or something? the number of one time one time I set it as nine just to make it harder for people.

Sam DiMascio (1:25:10)
I think ten.

Dan Rice (1:25:14)
Well you no, it it has been six and touch all but yeah.

Sam DiMascio (1:25:14)
Yeah.

Dan Rice (1:25:20)
Okay.

Sam DiMascio (1:25:21)
Eight. Keep keep going keep going.

Dan Rice (1:25:22)
eight this time. We'll just count down. It'll get harder and harder. I kinda

chris (1:25:26)
for the kids at at home, McFoley was in fact a wrestler. He had a very famous match with someone named The Undertaker. ⁓ some some other ⁓ great matches in there, some of Triple H's only great singles matches of his career.

Sam DiMascio (1:25:46)
had a great match against less famous wrestler Van Hamer.

Pto (1:25:51)
⁓ he was he was it him was he teaming with Max Payne or yeah, so it was him and Max Payne and like the nasty boys whopped them with snow shovels?

Dan Rice (1:25:56)
Yeah.

Yeah, that fucking rules. ⁓ I was gonna joke and nominate the Undertaker, but if he gets in, I would just delete the whole thing. So I have to I have to restrain myself.

Sam DiMascio (1:26:04)
Man.

Yeah.

chris (1:26:14)
Yeah, the Undertaker getting in would like ruin

Dan Rice (1:26:18)
I kinda wanna just nominate another real one and be like Sam. I'm gonna do Shinyo Hashimoto.

So to recap, we have Paige, Greg Valentine, Ken Shamrock, Roosh, Rovert, Mike Awesome, El Gio de Fishman, El Gio Del Santo, Drowning Pool, Orange Crush, Brett Lauderdale, John Thorne, WWE I D, Bagumi Fuiji, Bruce Hart, Mick Foley, Yoshihiku, David Benoit, Brian Knobbs, Carlos Cologne, and Shinya Hashimoto. I am sure.

Those 21 names have never been said together until this moment. you will get eight votes. Someone has to get 60% of the vote or more to get in. ⁓ I guess I could have said, I don't remember. I think last time only three. I think it was Dean, Eddie, and LA Park, maybe. So last time we only got three in. I'm gonna guess less.

Pto (1:27:20)
Something like that. Who w who was the shimmer person you were thinking of earlier?

Dan Rice (1:27:27)
I was thinking about I'm thinking about throwing up Daisy Hayes in there.

I and I have a list of other real nominees that quickly got thrown away. biz earlier when I was getting a lot of flack, I wrote down a letter of women's names. I thought what if I nominated five women? But then couldn't do that. I got the names written down. That counts for something. I got I got what's what's Mitt Ronnie thing? I got binders full of women.

Pto (1:27:42)
That's just that's that's tokenism. You can't do that.

Sam DiMascio (1:27:42)
How that goes?

Dan Rice (1:27:53)
man, we still have like a thousand questions to go to.

Pto (1:27:56)
Yeah.

Sam DiMascio (1:27:57)
⁓ it's so good.

Dan Rice (1:28:00)
shit, okay. I guess it's really not as many as I thought. All right. They're just good questions. ⁓ question for the podcast. Is Super Smash Brothers a fighting game? I mean, yeah. What it my god, it's not the first question. I f Geez, that's crazy. ⁓ Q for the P, what percentage of the Discord has seen Joanna Man? It's gotta be low, right?

Sam DiMascio (1:28:11)
No, that's not the first question.

Pto (1:28:22)
Not enough. Yeah, I mean it's gotta be really low. It's like

Dan Rice (1:28:25)
How many peop we like what three hundred people?

Sam DiMascio (1:28:29)
Yeah. It's th it's single digits.

Pto (1:28:30)
Something like that. Single digits.

Dan Rice (1:28:32)
Yeah, I was just thinking, yeah. So it's like it's one percent, two percent.

Sam DiMascio (1:28:38)
I say five.

chris (1:28:40)
Everyone in this cult I've seen it. I've seen Joanna Man.

Dan Rice (1:28:40)
Five percent.

Pto (1:28:42)
No, five people.

Dan Rice (1:28:43)
⁓

Sam DiMascio (1:28:44)
No five per five percent. I think fifteen ish people have seen it.

Pto (1:28:48)
I'm s I'm sticking to five people.

Dan Rice (1:28:51)
many I mean I've seen it, Chris's seen it, I'm sure Pat's seen it. So you're at three right there. So you're probably right. It's gotta be Okay, four. So yeah, we're already over one percent. So I'm gonna say I don't think he's seen it.

Pto (1:28:54)
yeah.

Sam DiMascio (1:28:57)
Well I've seen it.

Taylor talks about the movie all the time. Do you think Tanner's seen Joanna?

Dan Rice (1:29:07)
I don't think he's seen it. I don't think he's seen it. I don't think he's seen Joanna Man or a giant Baba match.

Pto (1:29:08)
I believe he talks about it, but

Sam DiMascio (1:29:13)
that that well the second one's obviously true. ⁓

Well that's that's Tanner's favorite movie. Something about it works for him. ⁓ I hadn't thought about Joanna Man.

Pto (1:29:25)
says I really relate to the Terry Cruz character.

Sam DiMascio (1:29:31)
I hadn't thought about Jawana Man for many years until you said Juwanna Dog last week, which has stuck with me.

It it was good. It was good. yeah, everyone go watch Joanna Man. I'm sure that movie holds up.

Dan Rice (1:29:49)
⁓ question for the podcast Is Super Smash Brothers a fighting game?

Sam DiMascio (1:29:55)
No, it's a party game.

chris (1:29:58)
True.

Pto (1:29:58)
What's w I ⁓ no, I'm not even gonna ask. I I don't care.

Dan Rice (1:30:03)
But you fight each other.

Sam DiMascio (1:30:08)
Party like fashion.

Dan Rice (1:30:10)
All right, fair enough. this one next one.

Pto (1:30:11)
I don't think I've played I don't think I've played a smash game in literally over twenty years.

Dan Rice (1:30:17)
we used to have a bar that had a N sixty four setup, so I've played it more recently than

It's like we're kind of a cool bar. Here's an N sixty four, everything costs three dollars more than ever across the street.

Pto (1:30:33)
They got you figured out, man. They what you want.

Dan Rice (1:30:36)
Shew for the orchids. She's not here, but do you guys want to tell us how you feel about the Rubens Neighbor's sandwich? It's ⁓ roasted turkey, coleslaw, monster cheese, two thousand island dressing, pickles, and ciabatta.

Sam DiMascio (1:30:52)
Wait. What?

chris (1:30:54)
I just I just don't know what two thousand island dressing is.

Sam DiMascio (1:30:56)
Yeah, that's that's throwing me.

Dan Rice (1:30:57)
I that pissed me off so much that I'm kinda out.

Pto (1:31:00)
I yeah, th this doesn't sound like my kind of sandwich, I'm sorry.

Sam DiMascio (1:31:00)
I like coleslaw.

chris (1:31:07)
Like what

I I can't I'm I could like they would answer this at the restaurant but like I can't I can't get into it right now 'cause I don't know what Two Thousand Island is. I'm sorry, that's just a hang everything else sounds delicious.

Dan Rice (1:31:24)
Okay, explain to me how that cost $14.50 for a full-size pressed hot sandwich of that. This roasted corn Caesar salad caught my eye. It's $15.

can't I can't pay that. I'd better get the sandwich instead.

Pto (1:31:42)
So I'm looking at Newman's own two thousand island dressing.

Sam DiMascio (1:31:48)
What the hell?

Pto (1:31:49)
It's a delicious blend of spicy tomato, mayonnaise, and bacon flavors.

Dan Rice (1:31:59)
What if this is what do they call that thing where it's like the Sinbad genie movie? The Mandela effect. It's always been two thousand Island Dressing and we're all just out of her.

Pto (1:32:08)
Well, the Google AI overview was like Thousand Island, often called two thousand island. I'm like, that doesn't seem right.

Dan Rice (1:32:18)
This one, this next one, it says Q for the P, but I feel like the P might be Pat here. What is VPR going to do to apologize to the autistic community?

Pto (1:32:23)
What's up?

Sam DiMascio (1:32:30)
forgot what happened until I read this.

Dan Rice (1:32:33)
I think that pet said that people with disabilities shouldn't go to wrestling shows. Is that

Pto (1:32:33)
⁓

Yeah, no, it turns out that I hate fun and I'm miserable. ⁓ I well the thing is I muted that tweet like instantly and never went back to check it out. So you know, I'm sure I'm sure they had a lot of fun and God bless them for it.

Dan Rice (1:32:41)
Yeah. People got really angry at you.

Sam DiMascio (1:32:58)
There was a match I forgot to mention about what wrestling I was watching. And it was Vampiro versus Chris Masters from Canada. From Canada ⁓ 2026. It's good actually. Sorry, folks. It's actually good. You it was probably the third best match I've watched in the past year. ⁓ in retirement. Of course. Of course.

Pto (1:33:03)
Ooh. Ooh.

Dan Rice (1:33:07)
What year?

Fuck yes.

chris (1:33:12)
You forgot? You forgot?

Pto (1:33:20)
I believe it.

Dan Rice (1:33:21)
it's Vampiro's Canadian retirement match.

Sam DiMascio (1:33:26)
And then an autistic person threw a chair at Chris Masters behind his back. You know what? I don't know. He was I I don't know. And I was like, what is Pat gotta say about this? What is Pat gotta say about this?

Pto (1:33:43)
I'm gonna say I hope everyone was okay.

Dan Rice (1:33:47)
I do like it that like you're not allowed to be annoyed by somebody.

You you didn't say like fuck this person, they should die. It's just like I'm a little annoyed by this. People are like, you ableist piece of shit.

Pto (1:33:57)
And people people kept wanting to talk to me about it, like on Discord afterwards. And I was just kinda like, I don't really care. But people were saying, like, Yeah, everyone's like replying to you, like, here's that attention you wanted. And it's like, What?

So I don't know, to apologize to the autistic community, I am going to ⁓ just not tweet for a while.

Dan Rice (1:34:19)
But how about you create a podcast for them once a fucking week for a hundred and seventeen weeks?

Pto (1:34:24)
Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ and you know what? Out of respect for the autistic community, our podcast won't have an hour of silence at the end. Dan, you know what to do.

Dan Rice (1:34:38)
⁓ you know what's impressive is I don't know like I'm sure I could figure out I don't know at the top of my head how to throw in an extra hour of silence.

⁓ this next one's good. question for the podcast. What is your favorite Blink 182 song?

Pto (1:34:59)
You know, I gotta go with damn it. It's got the best guitar riff.

Dan Rice (1:35:12)
really tough. I said it was good and it's like I have a hard time picking.

feel like Adam's song is too ⁓ too obvious, so I'm gonna go with not now.

chris (1:35:24)
I'm

I'm gonna go with feeling this just because in college I had like a running bit ⁓ with some friends where we would like just say things in the cadence of feeling this.

Where do we go from here?

Sam DiMascio (1:35:49)
It is also feeling this, but because of Madden O four.

Dan Rice (1:35:54)
Nice, nice. ⁓

chris (1:35:56)
I wanna get in her room.

Dan Rice (1:36:00)
Question for the podcast. If you were a minor antagonist in a martial arts movie about a fighting tournament, what would your gimmick be in fights?

chris (1:36:08)
Ooh.

Sam DiMascio (1:36:13)
Sandwich Numja.

Pto (1:36:20)
I would say that, you know, I've got a like you'll never be able to hit me and then they'll be like, Why? And I'd put on a pair of glasses.

Dan Rice (1:36:36)
Chris, you got an answer?

chris (1:36:44)
yeah.

Pto (1:36:44)
Alternatively I'd just be like covered in like paint so that every time they hit me they got paint on themselves and just made them really like messy.

chris (1:36:53)
Yeah, I was thinking I was thinking of being like an element ninja. ⁓ but I'm it's just like there's a bunch of sod all over me. And it just it's just getting all over the place and it it it's hindering me more than it's doing anything else and Jackie Chan or whoever the protagonist is, takes care of me very easily.

Pto (1:37:08)
Mm.

I'm just imagining someone I'm imagining like a kung fu fight like a ghillie suit.

chris (1:37:25)
Yeah. Yeah, but way way more just like shit way heavier, way more shit just like getting in my way.

Pto (1:37:29)
Way heavier.

Dan Rice (1:37:40)
All right. My gimmick would be that I was actually a major antagonist. I'm not gonna be a minor antagonist. this is the next this is the important question. This is from Tim, friend of the show. What is your Ohio dream match?

Pto (1:37:59)
I feel like you gotta kick us off here, Dan.

Dan Rice (1:38:01)
I ⁓ I gave this too much thought.

And I think my answer is you gotta do like you gotta do like a war games. You gotta have four four ⁓ versus Vandal forty eight versus Ohio versus everyone or everything, whatever they were. Ohio's for killers, any any any of the names you want.

And then like the f the four team, I think it's just gotta be like Team AIW and it's just like John Thorne, ⁓ Josh Bishop. Maybe just like maybe just John Thorne and the Rip City shooters, Bishop and Barkley. Those are my dudes. ⁓ because the problem with once you take out once you start naming 440 and Vandal 40, or not Vander 40, but once you start naming 440, it's really hard to find an AIW faction that didn't include like Ricky, Eric.

You know, Bobby Beverly. These are all the big names. But I just I just want all my Ohio boys in there fucking around. We'll have the guest referee be ⁓ I don't know, Greg Iron and someone hurts his good arm so he can't count a pen pen attempts.

Sam DiMascio (1:39:06)
Jesus Christ. You can't say that. They're both good arms.

Dan Rice (1:39:11)
That's just not true. One of the arms works way better than the other.

Sam DiMascio (1:39:15)
Fine works.

Dan Rice (1:39:17)
moves around and lifts things, touches things.

Sam DiMascio (1:39:19)
Okay.

Ohio

Dan Rice (1:39:23)
If your life depends on Greg if your life depends on Greg Iron pulling you off of a fucking ledge, which arm do you want him to use?

Sam DiMascio (1:39:32)
Okay.

Dan Rice (1:39:34)
Do any of you guys have any ⁓ Ohio Dream matches? And do they feature Yuki Kamafuki? That's not her name.

Pto (1:39:41)
she would she would be the special ringside enforcer for Johnny Gargano versus Logan Paul in a twenty year Iron Man match.

chris (1:39:41)
Sh.

Dan Rice (1:39:51)
⁓ shit. Hey, I've actually turned around on Yuki. I think wanting to get flown to Ohio to wrestle Billy Starks is really fucking funny.

Pto (1:40:02)
She's one of those wrestlers where it's like I acknowledge that objectively she's not very good and yet I still find her enjoyable to watch in the same way that I guess I would find it enjoyable watching like a stork try to do pro wrestling.

Dan Rice (1:40:03)
Like I'm into it.

⁓ my god.

Pto (1:40:21)
Especially 'cause half her matches are just bits. And I love wrestlers who are like, ⁓ I'm not going to lay my shit in, I'm not going to work snug, I'm just gonna do bits.

Dan Rice (1:40:36)
Sam, you got an Ohio match you're dreaming of?

Sam DiMascio (1:40:39)
Ohio versus Miami of Ohio.

Dan Rice (1:40:46)
Okay, I don't understand that, but I'll ask no follow-up of Chris.

chris (1:40:51)
Y you kinda took mine. I was thinking OIF four K versus forty four O

Pto (1:40:57)
So I I I was kind of bracing myself for Dan to say like I couldn't do Logan Paul. ⁓ so my alternative idea was Chris Hero versus Ricky Shane Page, but in an eating contest.

Dan Rice (1:40:58)
It's the it's the obvious choice.

I'm a I'm a bag I'm a bad Ohioan. I forgot Logan and the Paul Brothers are from here. there there's the answer. You can do Paul Brothers versus the Kelsey brothers. That's a WrestleMania moment.

Pto (1:41:12)
Thanks.

I never forgot.

Ooh.

Yeah. Well I was gonna ask, is there like an Ohio food that like would be good for Chris Hero versus R S P chowing down?

Dan Rice (1:41:31)
I mean, maybe like skyline chili.

It's not good, but it'd be good for that.

Pto (1:41:36)
Yeah, I mean like yeah, it's just gotta be Ohio and

Dan Rice (1:41:41)
⁓

Pto (1:41:42)
Maybe they can a two thousand island dressing, drinking contest. They have to do sh they have to do a power hour of shots of it.

Dan Rice (1:41:47)
What's the bullshit that they what's the bullshit they eat where you live, Sam?

Sam DiMascio (1:41:52)
What does that mean?

Dan Rice (1:41:54)
No, they put a bunch of garbage on a plate. a garbage plate. Yeah.

Pto (1:41:54)
you mean the gar the gar the garbage plate. The Yeah.

chris (1:41:56)
Garbage plate, yeah.

Sam DiMascio (1:41:58)
It's not that's like an hour away. It's totally different cuisine.

Dan Rice (1:42:00)
I mean Guys add that to your database to figure out where Sam lives. Garbage plate's one hour away.

Pto (1:42:02)
Different region.

Sam DiMascio (1:42:09)
I think I've I I've repeatedly doxxed myself on this podcast.

Dan Rice (1:42:09)
He lives

my god. I hope no one's I'm always talking about when my doors open.

Pto (1:42:15)
Whom amongst us?

Dan Rice (1:42:22)
This next one is for Pat for real. ⁓ this one question for the Pat. My uncle was a mailman for like 30 to 40 years in Virginia. Do you know him? That's from Simon, if that helps.

Pto (1:42:24)
What's up?

I don't but I mean hook us up.

Dan Rice (1:42:37)
Okay. Pat wants to hook up with your uncle. Cool. All right.

Pto (1:42:39)
Yeah, no, let's let's hang. As long as he keeps his fucking shirt on at the wrestling show, we're cool.

Dan Rice (1:42:46)
That that's your fucking trigger. We can't God.

Pto (1:42:49)
I've I've gotten into enough trouble on that.

Dan Rice (1:42:54)
⁓ favorite type of jam.

chris (1:42:57)
A a bastard actually had the proper answer to this, which is ⁓ the television show Jam by Chris Morris, which

Pto (1:43:05)
⁓ that is that is the correct answer, yes.

chris (1:43:10)
an incredible television series.

Dan Rice (1:43:16)
⁓ do you guys know the difference between jam and jelly?

Sam DiMascio (1:43:20)
⁓ I wanna go. Let's move it along.

Dan Rice (1:43:27)
Alright, I was gonna say blackberry jam, but I don't get a fucking chance, I guess. All right.

I thought it was America. this seems like another Pat, you got a bunch of them here. Here we go. ⁓ question for the Pat. When they assign poster routes, do they take into account how hilly the routes are? Or does everyone dream of getting the 10 miles of flat ground?

Pto (1:43:38)
Yeah.

So to answer the last part first, yes, but the thing is it's not assignment so much like you might get assigned a route if you're very new. And in that case, you're probably not getting assigned a route. You're getting assigned a set of routes that you are the fill in guy for. So like one week you're on or one day of the week you're on route one, the next day you're on route two, the next you're on route three, et cetera, rotating. ⁓ and so though you might end you are likely to end up with like bad ones and good ones within that set. ⁓

But otherwise, it's a bidding system. You have to bid on the route you desire, and it's determined by your seniority. So, yeah, when you're 30 to 40 years in, like a certain uncle, you will have like the best route because you've been able to bid up and incrementally get better and better. The whether or not they take the hills into account is really a question of inspecting the route, ⁓ which

you know, kind of backfires because this is off the record, but the Postal Service does kind of see us as like postal equipment and treats us as such. So the fact that a route is full of treacherous hills and lots of stairs and so on and so forth, they really just care how much they can in their minds reasonably expect you to walk within six hours.

Dan Rice (1:45:13)
So let's get into this. This is now the postal podcast. You ha you bid for a route. You get it. ⁓ how often do they rebid? Is it just when someone retires or gets fired or bumped, or is there every year, every two years, or just

Pto (1:45:14)
Okay. What's up? Yes. Yes.

You don't you don't rebid until you want to get off it.

Dan Rice (1:45:29)
But so so yeah, so they no they only come up unless someone leaves for some reason.

Pto (1:45:32)
So what let's say that within my station someone retires. There will be a period where it's up for internal bidding, where someone within the station can say, Actually, you know, I want Steve's route. So let me get on that. And then that person's route will be opened up. And it's kind of musical chairs, because after if no one bids on something internally, then it goes to the district and is open for ⁓ bidding from elsewhere.

But usually there's a period of musical chairs where everyone kind of shifts around until something opens up that no one within the station wants.

Dan Rice (1:46:08)
So why that's happening is the excess taken over by newbies, or do you all have to pick up a little extra?

Pto (1:46:15)
Usually both. We'll have ⁓ unassigned regulars who haven't received their own ⁓ set route yet or a set set of routes. And they will get stuck on it for a day, or you know, the new people who are not ⁓ career employees yet will get put on it, or it'll just get carved up and given out as overtime.

Dan Rice (1:46:16)
Okay.

Now my next question is kind of Cole's question, so we'll get into it because I was gonna say, say I'm like I've been there 30 years, but I'm out like injured. Do I can I come back and take yours, or do I go right back to my own? Because he's pat Cole says, question for the pat have you ever been bumped off a route and considered enacting material harm? So does bumping happen? You can't get bumped. Okay. All right.

Pto (1:46:55)
You can't get bumped off it. No. No, that's I mean, when you own your route, you own your route. and other people like new people who don't have their own assignment yet can put in what's called a hold down to like cover your route while you're away. But they can't ⁓ like take it from you. Once you come back, they're gone.

Dan Rice (1:47:21)
Okay. All right. ⁓ it's really funny. These next two questions, I am very excited about one and don't care about this first one. Top three guitarist.

Pto (1:47:31)
This is the w this is the question I actually sat and was like, Okay, I got if I do any kind of preparation for this show tonight.

Dan Rice (1:47:39)
Well then let's start off with you then Pat. What do got?

Pto (1:47:40)
Alright, so I got two honorable mentions first, 'cause I couldn't decide what ⁓ do Keith Levine from Public Image Limited and Andy Gill from Gang of Four, which both great guitar players. Keith Levine could have been one of the best, but he was more interested in doing drugs and not recording music. So his stuff with Public Image Limited is some of the best shit ever, but like that reflects two years out of his career, if that

Number three, I have as a tag team, Lou Reed and Robert Quine, which again, they only played together for like two years, but they're only making my top three for the stuff where they played together, which is one album and some live stuff that like they were on a couple tours together, because they play together and it's like two alchemists doing magic. Cause neither is playing rhythm or lead. They're just kind of like going at it.

But by all accounts they hated each other. So they didn't last long. Second up, I got ⁓ at number two I've got Niall Rogers. And it's kind of like if anyone has ever listened to the song Good Times and not immediately gone, this guy pretty much invented the last fifty years of guitar playing. Like, I don't know. I mean, if you if you think Niall Rogers is not a top three guitarist of all time, you're crazy. I'm sorry. And number one is Neil Young.

Because he is the best.

Dan Rice (1:49:16)
This sounds like a question in your wheelhouse too. What do we got?

chris (1:49:18)
⁓ so immediate thought was Tom Verlaine, ⁓ from television.

All right.

Now Roger's obviously up there. ⁓ Eddie Hazel from Parliament Funkadelic.

one of the all time greats. ⁓

Special shout to ⁓ Ricky Wilson, the original guitarist of the B fifty twos. ⁓ just some of the most incredible, like guitar coolest guitar tone ever. That's three of

Pto (1:50:03)
You know who doesn't get enough credit for being a great guitarist because he's such a shithead? Is Billy Corgan.

chris (1:50:09)
Yeah. Yeah, he is he is a great guitarist.

Dan Rice (1:50:14)
Sam, who are the top three guitarists?

Sam DiMascio (1:50:16)
Don't really care about music.

Dan Rice (1:50:22)
I'm gonna name two. It's ⁓ Niles Rogers. You gotta have him. And Tom DeLong.

⁓ now the better question here. Best wide receiver from the 2014 draft class. Now, I think there's only two right answers. There's only one right answer. There's only two answers that make sense. But I really like looking up this draft class because you got like fucking John Brown, Alan Robinson, Sammy Watkins, Artavius Bryant, Jarvis Landry.

Cody Latimer. It's just a who's who's of guys I've had on losing fantasy football teams. And I love it. But my answer is Devontae Adams. I think.

People are gonna be saying Mike Evans, but I think it's Avante Adams.

Pto (1:51:11)
I'm gonna say Kelvin Benjamin.

Dan Rice (1:51:15)
He is definitely one of the wide receivers drafted that year.

Sam?

Sam DiMascio (1:51:24)
Going with my govins.

chris (1:51:29)
Yeah, Evan

Dan Rice (1:51:29)
Chris, we have a three way tie between Evans, Adams, and Benjamin, the big three.

chris (1:51:35)
So I should just say OBJ then. But I won't. I'll say ⁓ I'll say ⁓ I'll break the tie and say Mike Evans. His consistency is just unreal.

Dan Rice (1:51:49)
It's hard to argue. I just think Devontae Adams highs are so much higher, but they're both very, very good. ⁓

Sam DiMascio (1:51:55)
Anyway, Al Robinson on the Chicago Bears. Good times. Good times.

Dan Rice (1:52:03)
Love Alan Robinson.

Sam DiMascio (1:52:06)
Last love.

Dan Rice (1:52:07)
Yeah. I have no re there's no reason for me this to be a a case. I love Sammy Watkins.

Sam DiMascio (1:52:12)
Okay, well now you're just being stupid, but

Dan Rice (1:52:15)
I think I just like I like you know, football ten years ago.

Sam DiMascio (1:52:20)
It was better then. India wrestling and the NFL. Both better than the year twenty fourteen.

Dan Rice (1:52:21)
Yeah.

All right, this one we're gonna start with Chris, but I believe you have like maybe a mathematical answer, a scientific answer even. Q for the P, how many good Stallone films are there?

chris (1:52:40)
I'd say about fourteen.

Dan Rice (1:52:46)
Sam, you got an answer for this? Do you do the work?

Sam DiMascio (1:52:50)
I didn't do the work. I gotta tell ya. Didn't do the work. I kind of fucked this one up. I gotta tell you that straight up, straight up.

Dan Rice (1:52:51)
You're supposed to be doing the work. That's kind of your thing.

Okay. Well I mean that's you're owning up to it.

Sam DiMascio (1:52:58)
I think that's the first step in the process to doing the work is establishing when you haven't done the work, really.

Pto (1:53:05)
Yeah, it's called accountability.

Sam DiMascio (1:53:06)
Exactly. You get it. Yeah, you guys get it.

Dan Rice (1:53:07)
It's that's beautiful. All right. ⁓

Pto (1:53:11)
I think it's I think it's all downhill since party at Kitty and Studs.

Dan Rice (1:53:19)
I do have ask a question here. Now I've watched a lot of sixty to a hundred eighty second bits of Tulsa King on TikTok. ⁓ all right. Thank you for clarifying.

chris (1:53:28)
That does not count.

Dan Rice (1:53:34)
Seems like a fine show. ⁓

Pto (1:53:35)
Every so often I see something about that show and I'm just I I'm just surprised it exists. Like continually I'm just like, Whoa, that's real.

chris (1:53:44)
The the like Taylor Sheridan Paramount Plus original series machine is is a true like America B true America B thing.

Dan Rice (1:53:45)
Cash flow.

Sam DiMascio (1:53:53)
They've done something beautiful.

Pto (1:53:55)
It's it's like finding out about Yeah, it's it's like finding out someone has like a sh a syndicated show on PAX TV or something where I'm just like, What? That's what they've been doing?

Dan Rice (1:54:06)
I have to admit that I can't, there's no reason why. It's just my sister put it on and I started watching it with her. And I've never seen what it's a spin-off us of, but I've been watching Sheriff Country, just top-notch stuff.

chris (1:54:18)
That is the f that is the fakest T V show name you could

Dan Rice (1:54:22)
It's well, that's why I love it as I've been going around saying share of country nonstop.

Pto (1:54:24)
Why is it why is it called sheriff country? Is it just a country of sheriffs?

Dan Rice (1:54:29)
No, I guess it's based on I this doesn't really answer your question because I know your follow up. It's based it's a spin off of fire country.

Sam DiMascio (1:54:32)
No

Yeah, I remember Fire Country and I was like incredible. Can't believe they did this. Yep.

Dan Rice (1:54:39)
This is a spin-off of that, but anytime anything happens, I go, You're gonna get that in sheriff country. And it just the room the room loves it.

Pto (1:54:45)
I I'm just I'm just imagining like criminals being like, No, no, we can't rob this bank, this sheriff country. Imp implying that there are parts of the country that don't have ⁓

Dan Rice (1:54:52)
Marina Bakerin from Firefly is the sheriff.

Sam DiMascio (1:54:57)
Now we're gonna miss it up.

Pto (1:54:58)
Okay. Yeah, now ⁓ now we're talking.

Dan Rice (1:54:59)
Yeah. ⁓ Matt Loria from ⁓ Friday Night Lights is the hot deputy. Carolyn Ray is like ⁓ I'm not really sure sh what her job is, she's like a secretary in the police in the sheriff country.

Pto (1:55:13)
You know what's a good movie about sheriffs? Red Rock West with ⁓ Nick Cage and Dennis Hopper and JT Walsh.

It's a great movie. More people should see that.

Dan Rice (1:55:24)
⁓ what's her name? I'm gonna have to click I'm gonna have to pull up f show.

chris (1:55:29)
I thought you were going to say Copland, one of the fourteen good Sylvester Stallone movies.

Pto (1:55:34)
You know, I don't

Dan Rice (1:55:34)
Diane Farr was in Rescue Me as a which is a sh a fire show, and then she's in the fire country, and she was in some firefighter movie that I'm sure Pat's seen. What's it called? Superfire or something? Yes, superfire.

Pto (1:55:48)
I have never seen Superfire. I also haven't seen Copland.

Dan Rice (1:55:54)
But yeah, there like a two parter that I guess finished on Fire Country and I like, Well I can't do that, guys. I'm already watching Sheriff Country. So I just don't know what happened. I don't know how that case got solved. I'll never know.

this one I wish I would have got to this sooner. ⁓ question for the podcast do you guys want to come to a Halloween art market with me on Friday?

chris (1:56:13)
⁓ yes, but I've got to work.

Pto (1:56:16)
Likewise.

Dan Rice (1:56:17)
I'm s I'm seeing that movie. You can see everything at eleven thirty-five. And I feel like by now I'm finding out it's a three hour movie, but by the time that's over, I don't know if I can get to this.

Pto (1:56:27)
It's not it th the beautiful thing is it doesn't feel like a three hour movie. It's like the it's like the Godfather. Yeah, yeah, no, your day's fucked.

Dan Rice (1:56:32)
No, I'm just saying like it's gonna be close to three PM, you know? So then it's like I gotta figure out an airplane situation. I j I don't think I can make it happen.

Pto (1:56:41)
It's the length of half an AEW pay per view. Not counting the fast pass or whatever it's called.

Dan Rice (1:56:45)
All right, all right.

Fast pass. Sam, will you be going to the Halloween market? What's your Friday look like?

Sam DiMascio (1:56:53)
I gotta pass. Just got a lot going on. I got a I'm gonna I got a projector screen coming, so I'm gonna be busy.

Dan Rice (1:56:57)
Specifically

people are saying you cheaped out.

Sam DiMascio (1:57:08)
I don't want to hear it.

Dan Rice (1:57:10)
I'm saying that people are saying that.

Sam DiMascio (1:57:12)
No, Tanner's saying I can't believe you spent any money on a projector and then I said I got a great deal for Disney for five thousand dollars. Look at me go

Pto (1:57:12)
Okay. Have you have

Dan Rice (1:57:22)
I will say, I will say after you bought it, like something popped up on my YouTube, it was like, what happened to projector screens?

Pto (1:57:30)
What happened to them?

Sam DiMascio (1:57:30)
I do it.

Dan Rice (1:57:31)
I didn't I didn't watch it, but like I guess like people had projectors and now they don't. I don't know. I didn't watch I was like, I don't want to know, I want Sam to just find out on his own.

Sam DiMascio (1:57:35)
Yes. Well

Pto (1:57:38)
So so Sam, have you decided what your first projection will be?

Sam DiMascio (1:57:44)
I have not. I have not. It's gonna be a process.

Dan Rice (1:57:49)
Head of the family.

Sam DiMascio (1:57:50)
I wish I wish.

Pto (1:57:51)
⁓ Yeah. Just be like, Honey, get the dogs in here. I've got something I need to show you all.

chris (1:57:53)
Biodome.

Sam DiMascio (1:57:58)
All right, time to watch the brain again.

Dan Rice (1:58:01)
my God. ⁓ this one, this feels like a question I gotta start with Sam here. If you could make your own Taco Bell item or even a Taco Bell meal, what would it be?

Sam DiMascio (1:58:13)
I think this is like too invasive of

Dan Rice (1:58:16)
shit.

Sam DiMascio (1:58:23)
So

Dan Rice (1:58:24)
All right, I'm gonna put tie in time out. You can't call the Undertaker that word or do this question. Those are the two rules.

Pto (1:58:36)
I've have d did I tell you guys the Taco Bell story from when I was in college?

Dan Rice (1:58:40)
Let it rip, I don't know.

Pto (1:58:42)
⁓ yeah, the the the story is that the local Taco Bell gave everyone like hepatitis A.

Which for those for those for those not familiar with hepatitis variations, hepatitis A is spread via fecal oral contact. So someone had poop on their hands while making food at Taco Bell. ⁓ and ever since like I got tested for it and thank God I came up clean. But ever since then I've like, I don't want to eat Taco Bell. Like I'm sorry, like we're not I'm not doing that. That's nasty. That's they they hire poop hand people to make their tacos.

Dan Rice (1:58:53)
really good story.

Sam DiMascio (1:58:53)
yeah.

Dan Rice (1:59:15)
I need you to know I

I swear on everything that's holy. I swear on my mom's memory. I swear to everything. In college, Taco Bell was the closest fast food restaurant to my dorm. My my roommate got hepatitis A, but our friend group refused to stop eating them. And he would not come with us. So like two to three nights a week, he would just stay in the dorm looking sad.

Pto (1:59:34)
Yeah.

You just sit like you're driving away and you just see him like hanging his head in the window.

Dan Rice (1:59:43)
Because he would get physically ill thinking about it.

chris (1:59:47)
Yeah, like a dog in the window.

Dan Rice (1:59:47)
It's like the next closest one was fucking Burger King. That's expensive compared to Taco Bell. I'm in college, not made of money.

Pto (1:59:56)
Dude, I've been watching like or not really watching, but just kind of leaving on. People put up on YouTube like old VHS tapes where they just recorded MTV for four hours. And they have like Boston Market commercials and stuff where it's just like, check out our new meal where you get the sandwich and the side and the drinks for four bucks. I'm just like watching this in this current moment in times of like fuck you. Just angry, angry at how cheap food was in the past compared to now.

Dan Rice (2:00:22)
I will say

Kai, I think, was saying they wouldn't they didn't get the new ⁓ cake empanada because it was three dollars. Worth it. It's real fucking. What? I think it was delicious. I think you're crazy. That that if I made myself a meal, which I'm not doing, I feel like we answered the question enough, that'd be in it. This next question is a lot of words. ⁓ Okay.

Sam DiMascio (2:00:34)
I think it's kinda sucks. I think it kinda sucks.

chris (2:00:46)
I'm bringing I'm I just wanna say I'm bringing back the volcano menu.

Sam DiMascio (2:00:52)
All right, there you go. There you go.

Dan Rice (2:00:55)
We got the answer. Question for the sandwich.

Pto (2:00:56)
yeah, my my my answer for the Taco Bell the Pat meal for Taco Bell would be it like a a fountain drink and a coupon to go eat a Burger King.

Dan Rice (2:01:07)
That's gonna be weird that's a weird promotion they got going on. ⁓

Pto (2:01:10)
Yeah, like you give Taco Bell like three dollars and they give you a two dollar voucher for burger.

Dan Rice (2:01:16)
I I walked to the Taco Bell because their drive Taco Bell because their drive-thru was down. And I go in and I order a Mexican pizza. She goes, We're all out. And then I go, I order something else and I go, and just an ice water. She goes, I can't do that. Our soda machines are gone. And she, I go, man, you guys are really hurting today, huh? And she goes, actually, you're our 745th customer. We're doing really well today.

Pto (2:01:38)
Wow.

Sam DiMascio (2:01:38)
Yeah, fuck you.

Dan Rice (2:01:40)
I didn't mean it. Like I'm sure financially Taco Bell's doing fine. I just meant hitting a lot of obstacles.

Pto (2:01:44)
I is sh like is she's just like, How dare this fucker shame my company?

Dan Rice (2:01:51)
I don't know, I don't know what number customer it was, but she had it on rip. She was like, No, doing fucking great. Buy a bottle of water. You're not getting a fountain drink right now, sir. ⁓

Sam DiMascio (2:01:58)
They're building a Taco Bell like three quarters of a mile from another Taco Bell, which I think is a bit much.

chris (2:01:59)
One time

Dan Rice (2:02:05)
They did that in our town and our town freaked out. And I love my I love my fucking fellow Ashlanders or whatever we're called. People were like, Why are we getting a Taco Bell? We need something cool. Like put a new McDonald's up there or a KFC. I was like, Dream big, guys.

Sam DiMascio (2:02:19)
No, I I will accept more Taco Bells, but just seems it's not a good Taco Bell. Like it's not good one of the ones I would go to consistently.

Dan Rice (2:02:27)
Hmm. You got one of the fancy taco bells near you, correct? Yeah, the

Sam DiMascio (2:02:29)
Anywho. I got a cantina. I can get a margarita.

Pto (2:02:33)
yeah. There's a there's one of those right near the movie theater I usually go to. But I'm not going in there 'cause they fucking, you know, poop hand guy worked at a Taco Bell in New Hampshire twenty five years ago and I'm like, no.

Dan Rice (2:02:40)
There's a

Sam DiMascio (2:02:48)
Shame on me.

Dan Rice (2:02:49)
That's the only place Poopane's ever been.

We got two more questions left, guys. They're both good. Well, actually, this next question, it's a lot of words, maybe multiple questions. This is from Henry. Question for the sandwich. If you are a fellow peanut butter and jelly slash jam guy, by the way, got a cute little thing about jelly and jam, we'll get to. ⁓ what is your preferred way of having it? Favorite jelly and peanut butter crunchier smooth combo, uncrustable or sliced bread? If you use sliced bread, do you add anything in it? Examples, sliced bananas.

If anybody on the podcast has peanut allergies, this is so polite, has peanut allergies or doesn't like PB and J, I'm okay with them answering what their favorite sandwich in general is. We're not answering our favorite sandwich, but you guys can talk about PB and J if you want.

Pto (2:03:36)
I'm not a big P V and J guy, so I'm gonna talk about my favorite sandwich.

chris (2:03:36)
⁓

Sam DiMascio (2:03:36)
One.

He might be okay with it. I'm gonna be less okay with it, but go on. Fix him post, please.

Dan Rice (2:03:42)
Yeah, I'm gonna cut out whatever people say it's not about PB and J. I'll fix it in post.

Now I will say this. I love a PB and J. I like it. I'm a smooth peanut butter guy. I also I love I love bananas on there. I'm never actually gonna slice bananas up. but uncrustables are so fucking easy.

Sam DiMascio (2:04:01)
That's what I was about to say. Like I would prefer having a a r real PB and J sandwich, but I also am more likely to describe it in Crustable inside the freezer.

Dan Rice (2:04:12)
My niece takes an uncrustible for lunch. My auntie stays every single day. So like we always have uncrustibles and it's hard not to just be like, fuck, I'll take an uncrustible.

Pto (2:04:19)
Yeah, but every time you take one, you're taking away her lunch.

Sam DiMascio (2:04:20)
Exactly.

Dan Rice (2:04:23)
Listen, there has been times where it's morning time, time to pack at lunch. It's like, shit. I'm not telling her I had one at two AM. Yeah. But then I will say we always have bread and Nutella. So like I can make a new I can make it across the wall. It's fine.

Sam DiMascio (2:04:27)
What too many?

Natella? I'm crossbowing.

Dan Rice (2:04:39)
That's her favorite, yeah.

What's your favorite uncustable?

Sam DiMascio (2:04:46)
It's like a strawberry. Yeah.

Dan Rice (2:04:47)
Shabber. Yeah, it's fair. Chris, do you have any PB and J thoughts you need to throw our way?

chris (2:04:52)
pretty basic. Just like a grape grape jelly, smooth peanut butter. ⁓ I never have bananas around, but if I was in a situation where I had a banana I would slice them on there.

Dan Rice (2:05:09)
Or could please send Chris some bananas ASAP, thank you.

Sam DiMascio (2:05:12)
⁓ Dan, before we get to this last question, can I can I tell you something?

Dan Rice (2:05:15)
⁓ I might cut it out if I don't like it, but yeah.

Sam DiMascio (2:05:19)
had any audio issues with you at all tonight. So like I don't know what all these people are joking about during your weekly episodes. I don't know what you have to f

Dan Rice (2:05:22)
Hell yeah.

Sam, thank you so much. It's maybe maybe maybe Orchid walking around with three humidifiers eating boiled chicken why while she plays Fortnite might be the fucking issue and it's not me.

Pto (2:05:29)
I'm I'm starting to think that Orchid might be screwing with Dan's audio.

Dan Rice (2:05:45)
I love you, Orkin. I'm sorry.

my god. But yeah, I've never done anything wrong, so I agree. ⁓ final question. Why is it every time I find an account with some extremely stupid conservative take, they are always without fail followed by Dan Rice?

Sam DiMascio (2:06:02)
Yeah.

Dan Rice (2:06:08)
I just agree with everything they're saying, I guess is probably the reason.

Sam DiMascio (2:06:13)
You really believe in the marketplace of ideas and

Dan Rice (2:06:15)
Do you remember when people were saying like retweets don't equal like endorsement? I endorse everyone I follow fully without fail.

Pto (2:06:20)
Endorsement.

I mean, I don't I don't know if you've ever looked at the bio under my articles on the site, but I just wrote my bio as like XPW endorser.

Dan Rice (2:06:37)
⁓ shit.

There was a long time when we first started the site, and by say that I mean like the first 18 months worth the site where I was constantly accidentally logged in to the violent people account just following random people. Sam was always having to go on there and just like just go back like no no no no no.

Sam DiMascio (2:06:58)
We're we're selective here.

Pto (2:06:58)
Yeah, no, the these guys have nothing to do with Syracuse College sports betting. We're not follow

Sam DiMascio (2:07:03)
Exactly. Exactly.

Dan Rice (2:07:03)
that's how I now know when I'm logged in. If I open up my Twitter app and the first thing I see, let me see, real fast. Let me see. First thing I see, views from the shot podcast.

Sam DiMascio (2:07:15)
Locked on Syracuse. ⁓ hm. Hm.

Dan Rice (2:07:18)
⁓ but but yeah, if I see if I see some bullshit that I don't want to see, it's like I'm in I'm on VPR. Or violent people Twitter. So I have a safe haven on my account, my feed where I see just wrestling gifts and Ben Shapiro.

Pto (2:07:30)
GPT.

Dan Rice (2:07:41)
My feet, I open it up, boom, Trump's talking. Here we go.

Do you guys got anything else you want to say since we're out of questions?

Pto (2:07:53)
no, just a plug for I think this weekend pork is going to do another stream on our Twitch account of ⁓ continuing a playlist of the fifty worst matches of all time, according to Cage Match.

Dan Rice (2:08:06)
Pork needed the logins to get that going and ⁓ I took a long time getting them to him and I felt bad. But then the way I found them quickly was by going back through my chat with Pork. So

There you go. Sam?

Pto (2:08:19)
So there you have it. We we don't change our credentials.

Dan Rice (2:08:23)
No, if you figure it out, you're in. Sam, you plugging any podcast you got coming up?

Sam DiMascio (2:08:29)
No. Do do I have a podcast?

Dan Rice (2:08:30)
All right. I was hoping a new goate gang might coming out soon.

Sam DiMascio (2:08:35)
⁓ January.

Dan Rice (2:08:37)
Okay. Janu it's no way it's coming out in January. We have the fucking we're so full of shit.

Sam DiMascio (2:08:42)
W I have it on my calendar. It is on my calendar to record January twenty seventh.

Dan Rice (2:08:46)
Okay. And we're we're gonna have to bump it to do the formerly known as the always Barry Tanners. That's gonna take three nights. All right. ⁓ okay. So yeah, so you won't bump it. You'll do two nights of podcasting in a row and then go, I'm not doing a third one. Fuck this.

Sam DiMascio (2:08:53)
No, we just do that the the the twenty fifth and twenty sixth. So me me and Chris

Could be a good bit. Could be a good bit.

chris (2:09:07)
Sam Sam and I are going to be playing Left for Dead the entire podcast recording.

Dan Rice (2:09:07)
Yeah.

Pto (2:09:12)
Imagine p playing that shit on your projector, man.

Sam DiMascio (2:09:12)
That's called doing the work.

Dan Rice (2:09:16)
Woo hoo.

Sam DiMascio (2:09:16)
That's where we go. That's where we go.

Dan Rice (2:09:21)
I'll probably end it somewhere in there. There's no way to tell where I begin to end these things.
