Hey everyone,
welcome back to inside the
diamonds podcast.
This is episode 13 I'm your
host JC and I'm joined
again tonight by CJ.
How you doing CJ?
I'm happy to be here after a
rough weekend and a rough Monday.
So nice to get the little
therapy session in here
Yeah Been a long long time
since we talked.
I know that last Memorial
Day episode you had to roll
out on your own I got stuck
with some stuff from work
surprise surprise.
I
But I'm actually glad to be back.
And I actually haven't been
able to watch much baseball
over the last probably 10 or so days,
but watched a lot yesterday.
I had some interesting conversations.
So I'm looking forward to
get into it today and tonight with you.
So why don't we jump right
into it and tackle some of
the notes from this past week?
Yeah, this is going to be jam-packed,
so we're going to try to
keep this as brief as we can.
But there's a lot to talk about.
I mean, like you said,
you haven't been here in a week.
So we're going to start off
things with what's going on
in the American League East.
And the Yankees are just
steamrolling everybody.
I crunched all the numbers today,
and I want to start with their pitching,
which let's start with the
fact they're doing this without their ace,
Garrett Cole.
Mm-hmm.
So they're first in ERA with a 2.78.
They have a 1.12 whip,
which is tied for second.
526 strikeouts, which is seventh.
They are first in home runs with 90.
Fifth with batting average with a 256.
First in OPS with a 774.
And third in runs scored with 299.
And the offense is being led by Judge,
who has a 1075 OPS,
which is first in baseball.
21 home runs, which is first in baseball.
47 RBIs, which is fifth.
And a 288 batting average, which is 25th.
But yeah, remember,
he did have that slow start
to April and March.
But he's also,
the Juan Soto combo has just
dominated that lineup and
dominated everybody they played.
Soto's got a 1.031 OPS, which is second.
He's got 17 home runs, which is fourth.
53 RBIs, which is second,
and a .322 batting average,
which is third.
Those two coupled in with Gunnar Henderson,
and we'll talk about him in a little bit.
Those are your three
American League MVP
candidates as of right now.
I mean, it's only the first week of June,
so that could obviously change,
but those three.
Well,
I think the biggest thing that we
talked about this previously, and,
you know,
I think it was the Guardians
early on that a huge run
differential and the
Yankees right now are at 107.
That's the best in baseball.
Second is the Philadelphia
Phillies with 101.
So, you know,
when you've got the Yankees
at 107 and then Baltimore at plus 74 and
You know,
those are two of the best teams
in the American League East,
but also two of the best
teams in baseball.
Yep.
And like I said,
they're doing this without Garrett Cole.
But Luis Gil, Gil, how do you say it?
I think it's Gil.
Gil or Gil, yeah.
I mean, what he's doing out of nowhere.
I think he actually was just
named American League
Rookie of the Month.
This season he's got a 1.99 ERA,
which is fifth best in baseball.
a 0.95 whip, which is sixth, and 79 Ks,
which is 11th.
Again, I asked this question,
I think we talked about it
a couple weeks ago on an episode.
They're going to have
Garrett Cole coming back,
which he's making a rehab
start on Tuesday, tomorrow.
Who do you take out of that rotation?
Now they got Clark Schmidt
out for four to six weeks, I believe.
So that will help fix that issue.
But when he's back,
he was pitching just as well.
So...
funny you mention that
because prior to his injury
in the way they were
playing I'm like this is a
perfect scenario for the
Yankees where they can
really kind of pull up Paul
Skeens ask if you want with
Cole in the minors and
really slow play it because
there's no rush at that
point in time now with
Schmidt's injury there's a
little bit more but I've
got an article that I had
to put on pause but for due to work but
My May stars of the month,
and the three you mentioned
from the Yankees right there,
all three of them are
included in that article
that I hope to get out by
the end of the day tomorrow.
But they have been red hot,
and it hurts to say because
I know they're just going to get better.
And you know they won't sit
still at the trade deadline either.
Yep.
I believe, though,
I think they just hit another loss.
I believe,
I don't know if he's on the aisle,
but I thought I heard
something today that Clay
Holmes is now injured.
Oh, yeah.
which that's a tough one to
have that in your bullpen,
and he's been good this year.
Yeah, he's been lights out.
Ironically, I have him on my fantasy team.
It doesn't say anything
about him being hurt.
I thought I heard that from somebody,
but that'll be something
interesting to watch over
the next couple of days if
that is the case and he is hurt.
But as of right now,
I don't see anything on it,
so we'll have to wait and see.
But the other team in the American League,
like you just said, Baltimore,
I mean, what they're doing,
and we've talked about this
every week just about, I feel like,
what they have coming.
And I got destroyed the
other day for an article I
wrote about they lost John
Means and Tyler Wells for the season,
and I thought probably
should go add another arm.
And I don't know if people
read the article the wrong
way or if I put it out the wrong way,
where...
I mentioned potentially five
prospects moving one or two
of them to get a deal done for Lizardo.
Jesus Lizardo from Miami.
But people went after me saying,
I can't believe you'd give up that much.
And I wasn't saying give up all five.
I was saying give up two of
the five and figure out
which two to give up.
One I mentioned was Samuel Basalo.
He's a catcher first baseman,
blocked by Adley Rushman,
and not necessarily blocked
at first base.
You could put him there,
but then you have – why am
I drawing a blank now on his name?
But you have another
prospect down in the minors.
I believe he's actually in
AAA now that can play first base.
I'm pulling up my rankings
right now for them.
Well,
they have so much infield depth that
someone's eventually going
to have to be shifted.
And we know they're not
moving Jackson Holiday.
No.
They have Elfield depth, too.
They have so much depth.
It's unreal.
Lacking the pitching.
And that's why they went and
got Corbin Burns.
And Grayson Rodriguez
pitched well tonight.
I'm still a little surprised
they took him out when they did.
And they have Cole Irvin and
Braddish and Dean Kramer.
And that's with losing John Means.
So when I was writing it,
I thought a little bit more, too.
Do they need to go get an arm?
No.
No.
But everybody who commented on the article,
and if you haven't read it,
go give it a look.
But read the whole article.
Don't pull the work email
where you read just enough
to think you understand it
because I think that's
where you took the heat is
people didn't fully read it
because it makes clear
sense when you read it that
here's what they have to
pull from to go make a move.
Right.
Not send all of them.
At the bottom,
I gave you what I think the
trade should be.
Yeah.
But, I mean,
you got the option to go trade
these pieces and –
And I wrote an article even
back before that they
needed somebody in their bullpen.
But I mentioned the back end.
And the front end needs a
little bit of work too.
Where you move somebody like,
you say you go get Jesus Lizardo.
You move Cole Irvin into a
long reliever role.
It helps your bullpen.
What about going for Lizardo and Scott?
You'd have to probably give
up a little bit more.
I think at that point.
I like the idea,
but I think at that point
where I mentioned you might
get away with it if you do
like Fabian and Basalo or Kobe Mayo.
Sorry,
that was the other one I was thinking of.
You move one of them, yeah, okay.
But then now if you add in Scott,
you might have to change
Fabian to Bradfield and get
a little bit higher up on the rankings.
Or you could do those two
and throw in a lower guy.
I mean, again,
they may only have to give up one.
I mean, think about what they gave up.
We've talked about what they
gave up for Corbin Burns.
They didn't give up much.
So,
Lozardo's not even close to Corbin Burns.
You could probably get away with two,
you know,
Enrique Bradfield and lower prospects.
So,
when you start getting a little greedy
and you want more,
now you start getting into
the conversation of a
higher-end prospect.
My father and I had this
conversation yesterday
briefly because we
mentioned Lozardo and I talked about,
you know, what you just said.
if you're another team in
major league baseball and
you're shopping someone
shouldn't the orioles be
your first call regardless
if it's an arm bullpen or
starter that would be what
I would do right if if you
want to go to a luxury
store to pick out what you
want in exchange they've
got to be the number one
team to call just because
like you said with um the
gap or not the gaps but the
blocks I guess you could
say what they have
blocking some of this top
talent because you can't
play everyone and yes
injuries and not everyone's
going to develop but you
know adding a lizardo to me
now yet you don't have a
whole lot of cap money put
out there there's no cap
space but you don't have a
lot of money out there so
if you go and sign trade
for lizardo who I believe
has two more years I think
he's through 2027 under contract
It makes it a hell of a lot
easier to make and pitch to
Corbin Burns about sticking
around with this young core.
Right.
But they're phenomenal.
And my father and I were
talking with my son.
I don't know if there's a more exciting,
do-it-all, gritty baseball player.
My dad threw out
Pedroia-esque in regards to
how Gunnar Henderson is.
Not the same talent and skill set,
but still just real gritty.
He does it all.
Well, could he do what Pedroia did?
Pedroia won at Rookie of the
Year and an 08 MVP.
Gunnar Henderson's in that
conversation right now.
He'll probably get a ring, too.
Pedroia won a World Series in 07.
I mean, great.
You just said Henderson
could do that this year.
But I think to make the postseason run,
Grayson Rodriguez is a nice arm.
He's looked good this season.
And I like Bradish,
but another arm to that
rotation just seems like
something you have to do.
And I said that before the
season even started,
knowing Means was coming back.
And I thought two arms were needed.
But now, like I said,
it also looks bullpen.
And that opens up the
conversation for someone
like Ryan Helsley in St.
Louis.
But we'll get to that later.
I mean,
I don't know if they're going to
sell anymore.
And the big one is
everybody's talking about it,
and we'll talk about it
next week because I want to
hear what you think is a good offer,
is Mason Miller.
I mean,
that's the one everybody's talking
about that says it makes
sense for Baltimore.
I just don't know what the
asking price would be.
And like I said,
that's something we're
going to do next week.
Like I said,
I'm going to talk about it with you,
and we'll talk about what
you would give up if you
were an owner of a team
And maybe we make a list of
three teams each, and we say,
what do we give up for
Mason Miller to come to our team?
Well, I'm looking at it right now,
the standings.
And another team, you know,
obviously the Cubs are one
that have been mentioned
just simply due to what's
going on in the back end of
their bullpen.
And Neres is doing all right.
But Kansas City Royals.
Yeah.
They don't – not a lot of –
it's easy just to imagine
Baltimore because of
just the resources they have to give up.
But I, I'm,
I think that's something
interesting next week that
if we share six teams are
the ones that are currently
in the race and a lot,
and maybe a long shot and
put together a package and
we just split it up and
share what we have, that would,
that would be interesting.
Cause he is, in my opinion, the,
top young arm that's back in
the bullpen that that needs
will be moved I don't see
the oakland a's holding on
to him um and I think now's
the time to kind of capture
what they can for him
before they move yep and I
mean and just thinking
we're what what's today the
third we're two weeks away
from orioles yankees all over again yeah
All right, so we're going to move on.
And this is one you like to bring up.
I think you brought it up a
couple times in the past couple weeks.
And I kept saying,
wait for the weather to get warmer.
And that's Shota Imanaga.
And after his brilliant
start to the season,
he finally looked human.
On Wednesday last week,
he faced the Brewers.
He went four and a third,
gave up eight hits, seven earned runs,
one walk, and one strikeout.
Yeah, it was not good.
I went back and I was
thinking about it because I
had said to you, once it heats up,
let's talk about it.
It didn't heat up.
It was 61 degrees and the
roof was closed at Milwaukee.
Mm-hmm.
So... But Milwaukee's a team too that,
well, historically strikes out a lot.
But if you're not on,
they can take advantage of
you really quick.
And the whole Cubs team, they have lost...
four or four of their last five.
They're, they're struggling.
Yeah.
And they're dropped into
third place right now.
So it's not a good look
right now for them.
Well, he's going to bounce.
I think he bounces back tomorrow.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah.
If he doesn't bounce back,
there's bigger problems to discuss.
Yeah.
I want to see, I mean,
he's got to be pitching.
It's a two game series with
the white socks, isn't it?
Uh, just had it up there.
I think it's a short one.
Yeah.
They play tomorrow.
Oh,
tomorrow, and then they have them.
Yeah, it's two games.
It'll be Shota and then James Daly,
and he'll go again Sunday
against Frankie Montes against Cincinnati,
who's another team that's
starting to creep up.
If the Cubs don't play well,
there's a good chance that
they could go into
Cincinnati and then drop to fourth.
And then after that,
his next start would be the
one that we'll talk to a
little while from now,
but that's another one.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
They're reeling right now.
Not good.
Yeah.
Nope.
And PCA, your boy just got called back up.
Yeah, they have to do something,
but we can talk about it next week.
There's a lot of different things.
They've got some gaps right now,
and they've got to do something.
A lot of underperforming,
to say the least.
Yeah.
Yeah, and the Kyle Hendricks stuff hurts,
too.
Ah,
did you see that Norby was called up
for the Orioles?
Yes.
And Mateo is going to be
sent down after getting
clobbered in the head?
He's actually injured list
for seven days with the concussion.
And then they actually,
that pitcher that they just DFA'd,
that was terrible.
Yeah.
An infinity ERA.
Couldn't get an out.
Nope.
Nope.
Not good at all.
I'm excited to see Norby out.
yeah where normie I mean so
the next one on the list is
the fun stuff from last
week the jose lopez now he
if you're not wrong uh well
that's the thing though so
if you're not familiar with
the story jose lopez last
week came in and pitched
against the dodgers and the
dodgers lineup lit him
And I don't remember exactly what happened,
but something happened,
and he ended up saying
something to the third base umpire,
and the third base umpire tossed him.
Now,
the reaction was a typical frustrated
Mets player.
I mean, it's not the season they expected,
and on top of his jersey,
he was pissed and tossed
his glove into the stands
and made somebody's day.
But then it's what came after.
He didn't stop.
At his locker, and...
pretty much said, and you can,
I don't know, this is my issue with it,
but we'll talk about it
when I'm done telling you.
He pretty much said at his
locker that I am what
people took it as on the
worst team at worst fucking
team in baseball, exact quote.
And that's what they took it as.
Whereas he came out the next day and he,
English is not his first language,
so you could tell the accident there.
He came out and he pretty
much said the next day on
his Instagram that he said
he was the worst fucking
teammate in baseball.
So my question for this all, I mean,
obviously, that was the story.
That's what happened.
He ended up getting
designated for assignment the next day.
And he even said at the end
of the interview that he
plans to be there in
uniform tomorrow if they'll have him.
And they decided the next
day they didn't want to have him.
And so he's gone.
And the manager even said
that the untucking of the
jersey and throwing the
glove was unacceptable.
So now he's gone.
But is he gone for his actions?
Or is he gone because the
internet took what he said
and misheard what he said
and ran with it and the
Mets organization followed
that and not what was actually said?
And he got designated for
his time because of that.
uh I think there's probably
some truth to that but
there's also got to be
probably more behind the
scenes to just be gone that
quickly with him um I mean
if you're the worst
teammate in baseball there
you should be gone yeah
exactly at the end of the
day like that's not your
cancer in the clubhouse at
that point yeah but
I get it if you say you're
on the worst effing team in baseball.
Yeah,
they're probably not going to keep you.
That's why when I first heard it,
I thought I heard the same thing.
I had to listen to it about
three or four more times to
figure out what he was actually saying.
But I was like, wait,
did he really just say that?
And then he ended it with,
I plan to be here tomorrow.
They're not going to want you there,
buddy.
No, I mean,
I think most likely I think his
Instagram and stuff like
that is probably him reeling.
don't care if it's your
second language or not
teammate and team are two
vastly different things and
it's I don't think maybe
I'm wrong maybe in the heat
of the moment that's what
he meant and I hope for his
sake that's what he meant
but sad thing is he was not
far from removed from being
a decent closer yeah yeah
and of all teams right now
with diaz being down
you know, yes, he blew up.
It's, I don't know.
I think the Mets are a hot
mess and I think they just
want to avoid that
altogether because the last
thing they need is that noise.
Every time he comes out in
New York to pitch and just
being booed out of the stadium,
they got enough problems right now.
Let's,
We're not going anywhere.
Let's let him go and we'll
deal with another issue.
We don't need that.
And probably some of the
veterans didn't care for it either.
I also heard,
and I don't know if this is true,
I saw a couple people say this on Twitter,
but
it sounds like his son has
some medical issues that
has been weighing on him.
And that was part of his reaction.
I guess also his son's birthday.
And so that had weighed on him.
And I, again,
I don't know fully if that's true,
but I had seen it from
multiple people on Twitter.
So,
so if that's the case with the lineup
and the, the mixture,
the culture that they've
got there with plenty of people that are,
you know,
that could back him up.
And if he was a good
teammate that would go to bat for him.
Yeah.
That's the interesting thing.
Nobody came out after and
said anything like not a
single Mets player had
anything to say from what I've seen.
I mean,
maybe I missed it and I just
scrolling through and I
just happened to not see it,
but nobody said a word.
I haven't seen anything that,
that places they're 17 back.
It's a tough division to begin with.
They've got injuries upon injuries,
and just no one's really
performing that well.
And I saw a list of players
that could be shopped off that team.
Holy shit,
you're not even going to go
through a grocery line with
14 items or less with that list.
They've got so many players
that they could get rid of right now,
and it makes you think, like,
is that becoming
potentially a toxic clubhouse?
It very well could be.
Not good,
but it was unfortunate to see as
comical it is to see
someone throw a tantrum like that.
We've all seen the guys take
baseball bats to the
bullpen phone or throwing
out a water cooler,
but to untuck your shirt,
which I think is pretty
damn disrespectful in a certain way,
and then throwing your glove like that.
I mean,
it's one thing if you're in the
dugout and you're done pitching whatever,
you want to throw a hooded
sweatshirt on or throw on one of the
You know, the cover-up, windbreakers,
but that was a meltdown.
And if it is something to do with his kid,
then I get it.
But at the same time,
sometimes you got to
understand where you are, too,
because there's a lot of eyes on you.
Yep.
So that was an interesting
situation last week.
We're going to stay with that division.
And I want to talk about two
pitchers on the Atlanta Braves who –
lost their best player for the season,
I think, for the season.
I mean,
I don't think that's been confirmed.
I mean, an ACL injury,
it was non-contact going back to second.
I don't think it was done for the year.
But as far as their pitching,
and they lost Strider for
the year earlier.
Yep.
Max Freed has been turning
it on as of late.
Yep.
He...
Over the last week or so,
he's made two starts.
And in those two starts,
he's got a 0.53 ERA, a 0.65 whip, 15 Ks,
one walk.
I mean, and that's in 17 innings.
I don't know.
I'm sorry.
17 or 15.
Might be one of the two.
It's one of the two.
But, again, the guy is dialed back in,
and he's doing what he has
to do to help that Braves
team that's missing their ace.
He pitches again tomorrow.
He'll face the Red Sox.
I'm not overly optimistic
about that start.
Not looking fun as a Red Sox fan,
but we'll have to see what happens.
And also another thing to do,
and I think this is a – if
I'm the Red Sox ownership
and in charge of all the moves,
I'm watching him tomorrow
because he is a free agent
after this year.
And he's one of the guys the
Braves have not locked up.
yep you're looking for an
arm especially the red sox
who we've all talked about
and I said it I think I
said to you and I said to a
couple people this is the
guy I want if you don't
want to sign montgomery or
snell or any of those guys
and we'll talk about them
later you won't sign either
of them I'm fine with not
signing anybody this past
year except for giolito
yeah max freed well we
don't really have a lefty
no no we don't have any
coming up either that are
The really right home boat.
So it makes a lot of sense.
It does a little shocking
that they haven't locked him up either,
though.
But they've got a lot of
money spent elsewhere, too.
They locked up all their position players,
but not their pitching.
Yeah.
The other arm in their
rotation that had looked
good was Chris Sale.
But boy,
he did not look good this weekend.
And if you're a Red Sox fan,
I know it hurts seeing
Chris Sale doing what he's
doing and Vaughn Grissom
not performing and now he's
on the second injured list.
But, wow, Chris Sale, four innings pitched,
eight runs on nine hits, one walk,
and four strikeouts.
This was the sixth game in
his career he gave up eight earned runs.
And it was to the Oakland A's.
Yeah.
If you want to add insult to injury,
it was to the Oakland A's.
Dude...
I hope it's one of those for
his sake that it's one he
bounces back because if he doesn't,
then there'll be whispers in regards.
You know what I mean?
I haven't checked on his any
of the specific stats or
numbers in regards to his
velocity during that start or.
you know, the mixture of pitches.
But, like, hopefully he just bounces back.
I go that route simply
because we've seen this
before where he has one horrible outing,
expect him to bounce back,
and it's kind of more of
the same the next.
And then down the road,
he's taking a stint to rest, if you will.
So his next start will be
against the Washington Nationals.
Should be a bounce back.
Although you could say that
if it was against the Oakland A's again,
but then he's at Baltimore.
Yeah.
So I hope it's not anything,
but it'll be something to
watch over those next two starts.
Cause he had been lights out.
He'd been pitching really good.
He was a silent.
Exactly.
He was, you know, he was very,
he was holding it together.
Once Strider went down,
it was him and freed Lopez
has pitched well, but yeah, it's,
that was a little shocking
you see that against the
phillies you see that
against you know the
dodgers even the padres the
way they've been playing
recently sure but again
against the oakland
athletics I i mean they're
you know on paper their
lineup doesn't look great
but they've got some guys
that can hit the ball but
that's that's an ex yeah
Yeah.
Do you have a couple of home runs off him?
I think he was four for four on the day.
Yeah.
So they've, they've got,
they've got some bats,
but at the same time, next,
next start out against Washington,
it'll be very interesting.
I hope to see him go six strong and,
you know,
wipe any of those concerns away
for the brave sake.
And for him, I don't,
I don't want to see him struggle.
I'd like to see him pitch.
Cause he's a guy that I like, but.
It was not pretty.
Yeah,
I was enjoying his nice start to the
season, but that was very surprising.
And I had some good money on
him to win that game,
so that hurt even more.
But, yeah, even in, like I said, in Duhar,
full for five with a home
run and four RBIs.
Yeah, that's a – I want to talk about that,
maybe not this week,
but that was strange.
That's another one of those
names that was a young –
yankee player that they had
high hopes on and just kind
of same with geo when he
came up uh who's now you
know doing his thing in
detroit but uh very
interesting to see that
oakland athletics team and
see how that shakes out and
with the move coming we
already talked about miller
are there any other pieces
that they try to move off
from and kind of build
Yeah, Alex Wood, two years from now.
Are they trying to build up for two years?
Not 2024, but 2025, 2026, build for those,
and then 2027 when they
move in potentially to their new stadium.
Do they have some exciting
names and prospects to
attract some attention and
build some buzz?
That's what I think is coming.
Very interesting with those
Atlanta Braves pitchers.
At this point in time,
we'll take just a quick second to...
Talk to everyone again,
like we've done on all the
other podcasts.
If you like baseball,
you're a fan of a specific
team or even a minor league
team and you're close to
that team and you want to
join us and kind of write
articles or even your input
and opinions on baseball,
go to the website.
inside the diamonds.com
backslash join us and reach out,
or you can email CJ or
connect with us through the
comments on the podcast and
just kind of let us know your team,
what you're thinking.
And if you have direct
questions about what that
entails and what the expectations are,
we can definitely fill you
in in regards to what we're
trying to do here.
Uh,
we've got a good group of individuals
writing, uh,
It is a long season,
so we're just looking to
build the platform,
get some attention on some
other teams from roster
moves to opinion pieces to series recaps,
series previews, and even.
anything specific to do with
any of their top prospects where,
you know,
CJ has got some interesting new
things coming out that he's
going to talk about soon,
but we've got plenty of
areas that can be discussed.
So if you're a fan of baseball,
go to the website,
inside the diamonds.com backslash,
join us and reach out and
CJ can fill you in on what
we're looking for.
All right.
So now that we've talked
about the pitching and
we've talked about Lopez and his meltdown,
this is probably something
that a lot of people will
overlook just because of
where he's at and being a
young prospect and no one
really knows who he is.
But there is rumors floating
around of a lifetime band
You wrote about it, CJ,
or texted me about it.
Why don't you dive in about
this Lifetime gambling band?
And it's not Otani.
You don't want to butcher this name?
No, God no.
That's why I passed it on.
I believe it's Tucapita Marcano.
And I saw the tweet come across today.
I haven't had a chance to
read any story about it yet.
But I wanted to at least
touch on it for a second.
Sounds like he's getting a Lifetime band.
He's betting on baseball.
And now from, again, the Ohtani situation,
he wasn't betting on
baseball from what they said,
the interpreter.
Yep.
This is now the third one this season.
The interpreter was the first.
David Fletcher is an interesting one.
He was an Angels player with Otani.
He was the same bookie that
Otani's interpreter used and was,
I believe he's in the brave
system now at AAA.
He became a pitcher.
Yes, he's with the Gwinnett.
Stripers.
Stripers, yes.
Stripers, yep.
And he's pitching now.
Apparently he had a
knuckleball and he said, let me show it.
And then they ended up using him.
He's been a reliever.
And now they're saying he
was gambling on baseball.
Now there's an investigation there.
This Marcano one came across
as like the investigation's
been ongoing and it just
came across the desk of a
bunch of people.
And it hit quick.
And like I said,
I didn't have a chance to
actually read on it,
so that's something maybe
for next week where we touch on it.
But
wanted to put it out there
because it was breaking
news today and he's not I
went through the rankings
he's not in the top 25
anywhere that I could see
so he's not like a big name
prospect it seems like he
does have some lb
experience so that might be
why he's not a big name
prospect or anything but
yeah something to watch so
the only thing I'll say to this is
I know there's banned substances.
We've touched on that where
basically you can't get anything.
If you want something,
it should be supplied so
that it's on the team.
These major league teams and
major league in general,
you see the draft Kings
advertising everywhere.
Fan duel everywhere.
If the major leagues can make money off it,
why can't the players with
their own money?
You know, I mean, to me,
there's got to be ways
where if you're betting yourself,
they could probably, I mean,
I don't know.
It's just,
it's not a good look for
baseball if the players can't do it.
And I'm not saying that it's
the same because the
players shouldn't be
drinking while they're playing either.
You know what I mean?
But they advertise booze and
all that stuff.
But there's got to be a way that they can,
protect this because it's
only going to get worse.
It's only going to get worse.
Not just in Major League Baseball,
but all sports.
It was bad before and probably more hidden,
but now it's so easily accessible.
It's just going to get worse.
Something's got to be done about it.
It's going to be interesting.
It's going to be very
interesting to see if they're making a
an example out of this guy or what?
And the thing is, it'll probably be quiet.
We won't hear much about the details,
unfortunately.
But it's too bad.
It's too bad to see that in baseball.
Yeah, well, the issue, I think,
goes back to a little bit
of they don't know and it's
hard to prove if you're
gambling on your own team
and expecting the outcome.
I mean,
there was a basketball player that
I've heard about
where he was gambling on his
team that was affecting the
outcome of games.
Oh, yeah.
And he got suspended, I believe,
a lifetime ban this year as well.
Yeah,
I know exactly who you're talking about.
I can't remember if he was a
Spur or which team he played for.
But that pops into my head.
But, yeah,
these guys are going to do
whatever they can.
And there's so many
different ways around it,
having somebody else place
your bets and sharing it with them.
You know what I mean?
I'm sure that for every one
that they catch,
there's two or three others
doing the same thing but
are just smarter about it.
Yep.
Yep.
And it's happening everywhere.
Jameson Williams was guilty
of it for betting college
games for the Lions last
year or two years ago.
It was suspended last year.
And a couple of Colts players.
Like, it's happening in all the sports.
Yeah.
And I wouldn't be surprised
if it's happening in
college sports as well.
Well, yeah.
Yeah.
It's going to be tough to monitor.
Oh, yeah.
Yep.
So we'll move on from that.
Obviously,
we don't have the full details
because it was breaking news today.
Yep.
So we'll move on to the
other breaking news from today.
And that was Jose Orchidi.
Yeah.
Sounds like he's going for
his second Tommy John surgery.
He's going back to see a doctor,
and they haven't said
anything about it yet,
but that's what it indicates.
He was coming back.
He was on a rehab stint.
He had made three starts.
He was gone 10 and a third innings.
He's got a 6.97 ERA, eight strikeouts,
and a 1.45 FIP.
His last start came on the 24th of May,
three and two-thirds innings, four hits,
one run, three Ks.
Something's clearly not right.
You could tell.
I mean,
even the numbers speak to it sometimes,
and especially when you're
working at rehab back, I get it.
The first start's always
going to be ideal.
But the second and third starts,
those are always tough ones.
And that's a team we talked
about a couple weeks ago, the pitching.
You know,
that was the question for that team.
Can they make a comeback?
I mean, look, I said it to you.
You know, I don't count them out ever.
They can always come back.
They can always do something.
But Urquidy is an arm that I
liked watching,
and I think that's a tough loss for them.
and I was going to even say it tonight,
but he looks like he's figured it out,
was Verlander.
Another arm that doesn't
look as good as he has,
and that could be an age thing for him.
I'm not saying Tommy John or
an arm thing for him.
That could be an age thing for him.
But he's down right now to a
team that we're about to
talk about in about a minute or so.
Yeah, the Astros,
the only good thing is Hunter Brown,
the past three starts, all quality.
Yep.
So that's a big –
plus for this bad news,
but it'll be very interesting.
It's,
it's unfortunate to have to go
through what he's going through,
but he is, and that is what it is.
And we'll hopefully it won't be that.
That won't be the case,
but unfortunately for what
it looks like right now,
that is he's headed for another one.
That's what it all points to.
Yeah.
So we'll switch over now.
And I believe I have it on
my list correctly.
We're talking about a team
that is very back.
And that is the St.
Louis Cardinals.
It's part of why I wore the hat,
but they were also playing
tonight and the Red Sox weren't,
so I went with the Cardinals hat.
They're back in the playoff spot.
Seven for three the last 10 games.
Six and a half back.
That's since May 12th.
They're 13-5 and they've
outscored their opponents
89-78 in those games.
Sonny Gray.
Back holding that wild card spot.
That final one.
And right now they're up.
I can't tell if the Astros have scored,
but it was 4-2 last I looked.
Yeah.
The one name that doesn't
get as much recognition,
and I watched him at baseball last night,
he crushed a ball that just hooked foul,
is Mason Wynn.
He's been red hot.
It is 4-3,
bottom of the sixth with two outs.
Mason Wynn is looking well.
He's looking real well.
We have the trainer with him right now.
With Mason Wynn?
Yep.
Look at his hands.
Christ.
Yeah, in this stretch.
This 18-game stretch,
he's hitting .345 with a 0.927 OPS.
He has two home runs, nine runs scored,
and 12 RBIs.
The other two names in that
lineup that have been hitting well.
I mean, that whole lineup's been hitting.
But Nolan Gorman with a .291 average,
a 1.036 OPS, six home runs,
15 runs scored, and 14 RBIs.
And Paul Goldschmidt hitting .280.
with an 896 OPS, five home runs,
12 run score, and 11 RBIs.
And you touched on it, the arms,
Sonny Gray.
And I think the only name
that I want to talk about
besides in that rotation is Kyle Gibson.
Yeah.
The other three-agent arm.
We'll start with Gray.
Three and one and four
starts in that stretch.
415 ERA, 120 whip, 33 Ks,
and 21 and two-thirds innings.
Kyle Gibson's 2-0 and three
starts with a 3.3 ADRA, a 1.25 whip.
The strikeout number is not as high,
but that's 12 strikeouts
and 16 innings pitched.
Yeah.
Another question is,
can they catch the Brewers?
That's tough.
But this week it actually
plays into their favor.
They got three against the Astros,
which we'll see how this
game goes the rest of the night.
But then they got four against Colorado.
Yeah.
the Brewers have three
against the Phillies.
That's one of my ones that
we'll talk about that.
I want to see how they hold up.
And then they got three at Detroit.
And if that line,
if you figure it out for Detroit,
that could be a tough
series and they're going to face Google.
So that's another one.
Yeah.
So the Cardinals have a chance to,
they're not going to catch them this week,
but they have a chance to
make up some good solid
ground and get back in the race.
Definitely, definitely a team to watch.
I know they lost Newt Barr again,
who I like as an outfielder anyway,
just to watch him play.
He's fun to watch.
You know, he's just a gritty guy.
They have plenty of bats that can hit, but,
you know,
that Gorman is kind of hit or miss.
He's really kind of streaky,
but Goldschmidt,
and then the other one that
needs to start is Nolan Arenado.
He just brought home
Goldschmidt on an RBI
single that gave him the fourth run.
If he gets hot, too,
and you've got the corners
hitting and Mason Wynn
setting the table if he's not hurt,
that team with the pitching
they've got right now can
definitely make some noise
in that central because
it's a hot mess right now.
I really think they could
win that division.
The more I've watched them
over the last two weeks, I mean,
I watched them a lot during
that Red Sox series,
and that's what got me back
on the train of they might
actually not be that bad anymore.
And last year might have
just been a fluke and a
cold start to this year.
And since then, they've looked fantastic.
The one player I want to do
a little bit more homework
on is what Walker's been
doing down in Memphis.
Yes.
Because he's a name that
could be a nice addition if
he can get it figured out
down in AAA that you can
add a bat without making a trade.
We might blow this for them right here.
We started talking about it
and things went off the rails.
Well, I mean... That's what we do.
That's exactly right.
All right,
so we'll move on before they
blow this game.
Yeah, might as well.
Let's talk about pitching.
And two arms that were
talked about a lot this offseason,
and everybody thought they
were going to get the bag,
and they didn't get the bag.
They ended up taking cheaper deals and...
betting on themselves and the bet,
speaking of gambling,
kind of kicked him in the groin.
Blake's now signed with the Giants,
and he's now on the injured list.
Yep.
He struggled last week.
On May 27th, he went four innings,
four runs, three earned, five hits,
two walks, seven Ks.
And on Sunday, four and two-thirds,
three runs, three earned, five hits,
three walks, seven Ks,
now on the injured list.
He has not gotten a win.
His ERA is above nine.
And the big one,
and this is an argument
I've said to a lot of
people on why I didn't want
him to be a Red Sox when they asked,
and I said,
he doesn't seem like the kind
of guy that goes past the
fifth inning very much.
Well,
let's prove that because he hasn't
pitched over past the fifth
inning at all this year.
The farthest he's gone is
four and two-thirds.
And that's in how many starts?
Nine, I believe.
Nine starts and the guy
can't get out of the fifth inning.
And he didn't really go
through the fifth inning before either,
though.
No, no.
So that's the first arm.
Second one is Jordan Montgomery.
And he was linked to a lot of teams.
I mean,
the Rangers fans wanted him back
after helping them win a ring last year.
I mean, he was dominant in the postseason.
But actually, he really wasn't dominant.
No.
Everyone thought he was
because the Rangers won the World Series.
He didn't pitch horrible.
The lineup is what won that for them.
He wasn't horrible.
He held his own.
But he wasn't the guy that
was going to go in and just
shut everyone down.
He kept doing things.
He had weak contact,
and we have talked about that.
And that's just his stats at Fenway.
I didn't want him with the Red Sox.
I didn't want him with the Cubs.
I didn't really see a good fit with him.
I thought San Francisco
would have been a good fit.
The Diamondbacks kind of surprised me,
but with Erod's injury,
they made the move.
I think of the between him and Snell,
I think he'll have a better
season in full.
Yep.
But
Well, he got rocked on Friday.
He went four innings, gave up nine hits,
eight runs, six earned, three walks,
four Ks.
He's now 3-3 with an ERA just under 550,
1.55 whip, 28 Ks,
and 44 in the third innings pitched.
Yeah, not good.
So, not good.
And we just got breaking news.
You ready for this one?
Brewers are sending Robert Gasser.
For an evaluation of elbow soreness.
Good God.
And that's the guy we talked
about two weeks ago.
Yeah.
And about how he was looking good.
And it's another arm now.
You might as well start
talking about a different sport.
Yeah.
At this point,
there's going to be no arms left.
We're going to turn this
into a gambling show.
There we go.
Yeah, well,
don't bet on the Red Sox on
Sunday anymore.
Well, that's all over, yeah.
The Phillies did end up
beating the Brewers tonight.
Yes.
So the Cardinals can pick up a game.
Yep, they could.
Yeah, that's right.
So they'd be six back.
That's why they're six and a
half right now.
So they'd be six back.
Because they were seven
entering play today.
Yep.
The next big story from the last week.
Again, I told you there was a lot.
There is.
So hang with us.
Actually,
this is the last story from the
last week.
I believe, right?
Yep.
And that's Tommy Pham.
And that was yesterday.
Mm-hmm.
And that is,
I want to find the exact quote
while I talk about this story.
But if you didn't see it yesterday,
Tommy Pham was at third
base in the White Sox,
our miserable franchise.
Miserable.
I mean, they've lost 11 straight games,
and that includes yesterday.
And they're 15-45 on pace
for a 40-122 record,
which is the worst since I
believe I heard 1935.
Yeah.
I didn't even see it.
There might have been one team after that.
But it's not looking good.
And everybody talked about
the A's last year and how
they were bad and how they
were on pace for a record-setting season.
But yesterday, Tommy Pham,
one-run ballgame or was it tied?
Tied.
I want to say it was a one-run game.
Yeah.
It was on third,
and it was a shallow fly
ball to left field.
Christian Yelich, everybody knew,
was coming up firing.
And for some reason,
the third base coach sent Tommy Pham,
and he was out by a mile.
Yeah.
don't depends what broadcast
you listen to I thought
that white socks broadcast
was fantastic and how they
went off about the whole
situation yeah so you had a
chance to listen to the
broadcast listen to both
but the white socks
broadcast is fantastic
about the play um he was
out by a mile and got up
and contrast was just
pumped up I think contrast
was more yelling at
christian yellich yeah and
fam took it as he was
getting yelled at and so
things escalated nothing
extreme that happened like
there was no punches thrown
the home plate umpire just
separated fam from uh
contreras for the brewers
and fam went to the
outfield and was on his own
then he started shadow
boxing like that was the
way he's just getting ready
to go in the outfield and
then after the game the
first thing and I don't
have the quote for it but
the first thing that fam
said was he pretty much
threw all the blame on the
third base coach like
You're going?
Like you're sending me?
Okay.
Your job is to listen to the
fair base coach,
and he's sending me even
though everybody knew that
that ball was in and I was
going to get hosed.
But okay, I'll go because you told me to.
But then it was after that.
And Tommy Pham said,
there's a reason why I do
all kinds of fighting in the offseason,
because I'm prepared to fuck somebody up.
I loved it.
The other thing I heard today was,
what's his first name?
Pat Murphy for the Brewers, the head coach,
the manager?
Oh, I don't know.
It's Murphy, but I don't know.
It's Murphy.
I just can't remember his
first name always escapes me.
I want to say it's Pat Murphy.
Pulling it up.
Hold on.
Watch.
I'm just going to type in
Pat Murphy and something
weird is going to pop up.
Yeah, Pat Murphy.
So it's Pat Murphy.
And he pretty much said,
I don't have the Akuzak quote for him,
so I'm kind of going with a
little bit here.
But he pretty much said that
it was like a showcase,
like Tommy Pham was,
you guys see what I can do?
I can do this for you.
I'll stick up for you.
Almost like he wants to be a
brewer is what he took it as.
So, I don't know.
Pat Murphy liked it.
He wanted that kind of
energy for his team.
It was a very weird thing.
I mean,
Tommy Pham is notorious to be in
skirmishes.
I mean,
remember he went out to the field
and slapped Jock Peterson
in the face over fantasy football.
Hey, he's passionate.
He doesn't like to lose,
but he always seems to find
himself on a team that needs a body,
and he just performs.
I think one of the things, too, that
I don't think he's a bad teammate.
I think he's what coaches want because,
like you said,
he knew he was going to be out.
He could have very easily just not gone,
right?
But he did exactly what his
coaches asked of him and
was out by a mile and got shown up.
Whether Contreras is
cheering for Yelich or not,
that's a form of being shown up,
and he knows it's not on him.
He can run, but not with that, you know,
into short left.
I mean, short right either way.
Yelich has got a decent arm.
But, yeah, no, I wouldn't.
To be honest,
he makes a whole lot of sense
as a veteran right-handed
bat for the Brewers,
now that you mention that.
Did you see the video?
Yeah.
What are your thoughts?
Did he go up the line?
See,
I have a hard time with the whole
blocking the plate and all
that BS because I'm a
little older and I'm not
opposed to seeing a little
bit of contact.
I don't think it was
anything to challenge or to go after.
I think he was out by so far.
It doesn't really matter.
He was just... Yeah.
It's...
Could there be an argument made for it?
Sure,
but I'm opposed to any of that kind
of the blocking the plate stuff.
I mean,
I want to protect the players and all too,
but I don't know.
I'm not for that right now.
I mean, I think he was up the line,
but I don't think he was
intent to hurt or anything like that.
I think he was just out by a
mile and trying to do some
kind of slide move to try to get in there,
but I think that's all it was.
Yeah,
I think the whole thing is like if
you're going to
If the catchers have their
location where they can call safe,
all you're really doing is
giving the runners more
space to do those kind of strange,
funky slides to avoid.
You know what I mean?
So if you're going to take
away some of that from the catchers,
all you're really doing is
giving more leeway to the runners.
Yeah, I mean,
it was just such a weird play.
There was a couple of weird
calls this weekend in
regards to the third base
coaches sending.
The Cubs had it.
I think that was, jeez, I don't even know.
It was Nick Madrigal was sent from third.
This might have been Friday
night now that I think about it.
And it's hit into the corner and left.
Hubert, I think is his name,
threw it to De La Cruz,
who's got a freaking cannon,
and Magical was out by a mile, too.
Their base coach has got to figure it out.
Yeah, it was pretty ugly.
So now with that said, and again,
there was a lot to cover, let's...
Take another little quick
pause before we get into the prospects.
And again,
if anyone listening wants to
join the team, wants to get involved,
wants to write about baseball,
their favorite team,
even their favorite player
for that matter,
or just opinions they have
around the game of baseball in general,
please go to the website
inside the diamonds.com backslash,
join us and give us a
message in regards to what
your interests are.
And CJ can let you know
exactly how that fits with
what we're trying to do here.
He can lay the groundwork
for you of our expectations,
what everyone's looking for
and how we can make that
possible and adding you to
the team and letting you
get in on some of the fun.
Again,
Doesn't have to be a specific team.
If there's just a specific
topic or a couple of teams you like,
Let us know.
We can figure it out in
regards to how that fits
with what we're trying to
do here as we try to build
the platform and add more
content to the website itself.
So again,
insidethediamonds.com backslash
join us and let us know any
questions you may have or
any interest you have so
that we can see about
getting you added to this
team that we've got here as
we build content through
the rest of the season and
more of the exciting stuff
that we have to come.
All right, CJ.
One of my favorite parts now
is the prospects.
And I know you've got a lot
of new stuff going and a
lot of stuff that we've
talked about that I've yet
to be able to really get
work situated so I can be a
bigger part of it.
But why don't you talk to
everyone about the top
prospects and some of the
stuff you've got going on on the website?
You're muted, bud.
That's good.
There we go.
All right.
So if you're not familiar,
we were doing down on the farm,
and we were doing, what was there, six,
seven teams I think we talked about?
Yeah.
Now we're down to probably three,
maybe four,
and really focused on the Red Sox, Reds,
Cubs, and Rangers there.
The other thing I started
doing was we're doing by league.
So I started doing the
Eastern League and the
International League.
And with doing this, you find more players,
because what I was doing
was I wanted to make sure
that every team in each
league was covered.
So, for instance,
say the Royals and AAA
don't have a prospect in the top 100.
I'm doing an honorable mention,
so at least somebody in
their system is being mentioned.
So what I was doing that is
I want to go through the AA,
the Eastern League, because I feel like
A lot of people focus on the
top five prospects and then
AAA because they're right
before the majors.
And what I've noticed over
the last week doing the
Eastern League is there was
a lot of good talent there this week.
Even the names in the top 100.
So I'm going to go through a couple teams.
And if you're a fan of this team,
this is something you're
going to want to tune in for.
We're going to start with Binghamton.
They're the AA affiliate of
the New York Mets.
And their prospect, too, once I get my...
Rankings updated.
This guy will be in my top 100.
His name is Brandon Sprope.
I believe that's how you say
his last name.
Last week, he went seven innings, one hit,
didn't allow a run, walked one,
and struck out 10,
which is a career high for him.
Down in Bowie,
the AA affiliate of the Orioles,
two names we already mentioned tonight,
Judd Fabian and Samuel Basalo,
have combined for 16 home
runs and 48 RBIs this season.
Two names I mentioned in
that trade for Jesus Lizardo.
And the more I thought about
it after the article came
out and I saw their stats,
maybe you don't trade them.
Where's Fabian?
What position?
Outfield.
I actually watched him a lot in college.
He was at Florida.
Yes, okay.
That's why it sounds so familiar.
You think about that trade even more now,
and you just mentioned
Fabian as an outfielder for power,
and then the catcher.
The Marlins don't have
chip for catching they have
no hitting prospects not
their top three prospects
in their system are all
pitching I don't I think I
think when the first bat
comes into play it might
even be four might be six
it's like right around that
area but it's it's it's not
good that's not even I said
that in the article I said
they need a hitting
prospect in the top 100
that can help them but I i
the more I think about I
just I don't know if I want
to trade them and fabian
was actually drafted by the
Red Sox and didn't get a
deal done and went back to Florida,
from what I remember.
I believe,
I don't know if that was out of
high school, if that was out of Florida,
but I do know he was
drafted by the Red Sox originally,
did not get a deal done and went back.
The other player there is Kyle, geez,
I'm going to butcher this name,
but I want to say it's Bovich.
He went six innings, didn't allow a hit,
didn't allow a run, walked one,
and struck out six.
Another team is Portland,
which we talk about this
one a lot because we're Red Sox fans.
Kyle Thiel last week was a great week.
10 for 24.
He had three home runs.
Two of them saved the game
for the Seadogs.
One of them on Friday,
both of them actually came
in the ninth inning.
On Friday, they were down 6-5 to Altoona,
who's the AA affiliate of the Pirates.
And they scored 6th in the 8th.
Or, I'm sorry,
Altoona scored 6th in the
8th to take the lead.
And then Kyle Thiel hit a
3-run homer on the tie,
and the Seadogs would win in extras.
On Saturday, he did it again.
He had a grand slam to make
it 6-4 Portland.
Altoona ended up tying it
7-7 in the bottom of the 9th.
And Portland would win it in the 10th.
Kyle Thiel's making a name to put his...
put himself behind the plate in AAA.
Another one, Marcelo Meyer.
Leads the league in doubles with 19.
He's eighth in batting average with a 295.
He has six home runs and 27 RBIs.
Another name in the top 100
that... When does he get moved up?
He's got to be moved up soon.
I don't know.
At least, I mean, you look at it.
I mean, yeah,
they got Rafael playing short right now,
but even my father and I
were having that conversation last
You know,
he's your best athlete on the
team right now.
Is that really where he belongs?
Is it short?
You can move him anywhere.
You could put him in third.
You could put him in second.
I just think you've got to
get him in the AAA at some point soon.
Even if he's an idea to call
up in September,
you've got to get him in
the AAA at some point.
Get him to Worcester, see what he can do,
and go from there.
Because you still don't...
Trevor Story's probably not
coming back this year until maybe...
end of the year and even if
so it's probably better fit
to be your dh he's not
coming back at all I don't
think and if he does come
back next year how long do
you expect to have him for
put him at dh yeah well you
get your sheet is contract
you gotta deal with 90
million and nobody wants
that you know who you
should yoshida reminds me
of is kosuke fuki joma or
whatever from the from the cubs that's
When he first came to Boston, I'm like,
geez, I've seen this before.
I've seen this before, all too familiar.
But hopefully he can prove me wrong.
But, yeah,
I didn't mean to cut in there with Meyer,
but he's a good one.
I'm interested to see what
he can do at the next level.
That's exactly why I want to
bring this stuff in because
it's stuff like you just
said people don't know and all that.
The last one for Portland is
my favorite prospect to watch,
and I've been locked in on him.
since he was in Greenville.
It's Luis Perales.
He got promoted to AA Portland.
He made his first start last week.
Got a win.
Went five innings, gave up two hits,
allowed one run, was not earned,
walked one, and struck out seven.
This guy,
when I update my Red Sox rankings,
might be making his way to the top five.
Mike, I've got to look at it again,
but Gonzalez might have to fall,
and I think Perales might
take over as the top
pitching prospect in the system.
Yep.
I wrote an article, too, the other day,
the forearms in the system
that are surprising everybody.
And I also mentioned how I
like Cooper Criswell.
I saw him pitch on Saturday.
He pitched well.
He faced a tough Tigers
lineup that's struggling.
And I debated,
do you call up Richard Fitz
and have him become that
starter and see what you got with him?
Because he just turned in a
brilliant outing last week for Worcester.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's worth a shot.
Next one,
I don't know how they keep doing it.
They just keep finding bats.
It's the Somerset Patriots,
which is a AA affiliate of
the New York Yankees.
They currently have Jason Dominguez,
and he's on a rehab assignment.
He's actually just moved up to AAA today,
so he'll be at Scranton-Wilkes-Barre.
They also have Spencer Jones,
who's the top bat for them
in the prospect rankings.
Dominguez,
Six for 16, three home runs, five RBIs,
five runs scored.
And that's it.
I don't know what the small
sample size is.
It's a rehab assignment.
Spencer Jones,
seven for 23 with a home run, seven RBIs,
and one run scored.
I talked about him after the
prospect showcased this
offseason and how he's
going to just be another
bat to that lineup.
Put that ad in,
they got two more down there.
Ben Rice and Augustin Ramirez.
Both of them have 12 home runs,
which leads the Eastern League.
Ramirez has 35 RBIs and 37 runs scored.
Rice has 26 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
Either of those guys first baseman.
I know Dominguez plays on
the outfield anywhere.
I don't believe so.
I think one's actually a catcher.
Great.
I think Ramirez is a catcher
off the top of my head.
I'm pulling it up right now.
Ben Rice is from Massachusetts,
and he's a catcher.
So Rice is the catcher.
Okay.
I don't know why I asked
that about first base,
because that seems to be a
spot that if you can keep Soto,
keep Judge,
and you know Dominguez is coming up,
and you throw one of those.
Spencer Jones is outfielder too, right?
Yeah,
but he's probably going to be the D.H.
I think they're going to end
up trying to move Stanton,
and Spencer Jones will end
up being the D.H.,
But both of those guys, Ramirez and Rice,
catcher,
and Ramirez can also play first base.
Okay,
so there is someone for first down
the line there.
You're right.
They constantly,
and Dominguez is someone
that's on a rehab stint,
but they've got some youth,
and they always find it.
And Garrett Cole will be
there on Tuesday rehabbing.
They're hitting the top of the division,
and I believe it's the East.
I think I forgot what it was,
Eastern League, East Division.
Yeah.
They're up there with
Portland leads the division.
Yeah, I did know that.
They just took it over.
I think it was Hartford for
a little while.
The Yardgoats?
Yep,
and they're dealing with some injuries
there too.
Yeah.
Next one is Harrisburg,
and the only big name that
I want to talk about right now.
There is another one there.
I wrote an article because I
covered the game against
the Fisher Cats a couple weeks ago.
Their one through five on a
normal day is just loaded
for the Nationals' future.
But the big one is Dylan Cruz,
who was drafted after Paul
Skeens last year.
He was talked about as
potentially going to the Pirates.
And the Pirates went Skeens,
Nationals went Cruz.
So Cruz has had a hit in
every game this past week.
He went eight for 22 with a home run,
three RBIs, and three runs scored.
So he's a name to watch.
He didn't look great when I saw him,
but you can see it's there.
It was an off game for him.
The next one is New Hampshire,
Fisher Katz.
This is a name I've followed a lot,
and he's in my top 10.
I don't have him making the top 100,
at least for a little while,
but it's Josh Kosevich.
He's fifth in the Eastern
League in RBIs with 32,
second in batting average with a 311,
and fifth.
with doubles with 12.
So it's a bat to watch.
The Blue Jays,
clearly a lot of question marks there.
And I think Arovis Martinez
I've talked about at AAA is
the one that's going to come up.
I think once he gets called up,
I wouldn't be surprised if
he sees Kosevich head to Buffalo.
Makes sense.
We'll see what happens there.
The other one,
he's been an honorable
mention every week for the
Richmond Flying Tigers,
who are the AA affiliate of
the San Francisco Giants.
It's Hayden birdsong this season.
He's four and two with a 2.28 ERA,
which is fourth in the Eastern league,
a 1.13 whip,
which is eighth in the
Eastern league and 55 strikeouts,
which is sixth.
Yeah.
He's been someone I've been
covering a little bit.
I don't know if I'll have
him in the top 100,
but he's a name that I
think could be borderline by mid season.
Yep.
And that's,
The seven teams I want to talk about.
I mean, there's 12 teams there.
So the teams I didn't
mention were Hartford, who's Colorado.
I didn't mention.
Wow, this is going to bug me.
I'll try to go through
division by division on who I missed.
I didn't mention Akron, the rubber ducks,
the AA affiliate.
I didn't mention Erie, the AA affiliate,
the Tigers.
I didn't mention... I think
I covered that whole division after that.
I didn't mention Redding.
Redding's at the bottom of the division,
so there's not much happening there.
I think the name of the
watch that might get called
up there by the end of the
season is Justin Crawford.
But they're dealing with...
I think the other one they
have there is a Beller Painter.
One's in AAA, the other one's in AA.
And the one that's in AA, I believe,
is out for the season.
Or I might have those flip-flopped.
So...
there are some teams I didn't cover there.
Um, but there is a lot of talent there.
So if you have MLB TV,
I highly recommend picking
your favorite team,
or even if you want to see
anybody pick a different
team and tune into some double a baseball,
because it is some serious talent there.
I mean, there's Fabian.
I'm going to make the conversation.
He could make the top 100
soon for all sites to cover prospects.
Yeah.
Which is by the numbers he's putting up.
Okay.
No, I, I,
I know you and I have talked.
I know there's more that you
want to build off of that.
And I know it's more
consistency than anything
in regards to these
prospects so that we keep it going.
So it's not a one and done.
You've done a great job with
what you're working on.
I know that there's things I
would like to be able to help you with.
And I'm hoping to here is, you know,
in the next by July to get
in a real steady rhythm to
be able to do more because the,
like you said, with MLB TV,
I think it was,
want to say it was Paul
Skeen's last AAA start and
I just clicked on the
Pirates as my favorite team
and then of course all four
affiliates come across at
the bottom I still think
that MLB that package is
probably the best bang for
your buck out of all the
other sports packages I
know football is a great
one if you're big into
hockey or basketball sure
I'm sure those are great
too but in terms of
baseball and just there's
always a game on no matter what.
And if you're a real true
fan of a team and you can't
see these games, I mean,
I had the sea dogs game on,
I think it was not this weekend.
It wasn't this weekend.
It was a past weekend.
And I was watching that, you know,
that's something that you
can watch any of the time you've,
especially when a player goes down,
you know,
when Garrett Cole makes his rehab start,
you can go watch it.
Yep.
I'll have it on tomorrow.
Yeah.
It's just it's there's so
much you can do with it and watch.
It's just a great if you're a baseball fan,
I don't think there's another way,
because right now,
the way you view baseball,
you have to have so many
different stupid streaming
services just to see games.
You've got it all right there.
It does stink if you're in
the market and you want to
use it to watch.
Like,
I can't I can't watch any Red Sox
games personally and rewatch them.
But any Cubs game I want, any Reds games,
any of these games,
I find myself watching,
flipping back and forth if
the big inning's not on.
I'll just go back and forth
and watch whatever game
piques my interest or whoever's pitching.
So there's a lot you can do with it,
and this minor league stuff
probably puts it above and
beyond any of the others out there.
Yeah.
And one thing, actually,
that they're doing this year,
and I want to touch on this really quick,
it was announced today,
and I haven't full –
deep dived into it or deep
dove I guess into it
they're doing a skill
showcase this year for the
prospects and so typically
all-star weekend in the
past it's changed so many
times I believe sunday of
the all-star weekend is the
uh pros the prospect game
yeah and then they do that
and then I believe that
night is the draft now it
used to not be that night
but now I believe the draft
is sunday night monday is
the derby and then tuesday
is the all-star game this
year they added in the
showcase on saturday yeah
what it sounds like there's
round one is hit it here
and they will aim to hit
infield and outfield
targets in order to earn
points so that they see
they're hitting on display
round two is call your shots
They'll have a number of
swings to showcase their back control.
They announce which field, left, right,
or center, they want to hit the ball to.
If successful,
then they choose to hit
another one of the other
two remaining fields.
And once successful,
they have to hit to the last field.
Round two favorites.
And then round three is
swing for the fences,
where they show off their power.
So you're going to get a chance to see.
I wish they would do
something for pitching,
but it sounds like you're
going to get the chance to see.
Kind of like they do for NBA, NFL games.
All of those big leaguers
get to do the home run derby,
but it sounds like the
minor leaguers are going to
do a skills competition.
So you get to see the
hitters that they are,
and that's a product that
I'm glad they're doing
because you get to see more
from different guys you
wouldn't normally care
about or want to follow.
But if you're a baseball fan,
that's something you
definitely want to tune into.
I'll be locked into it.
Yeah.
Definitely worth a watch just to see,
and it's a different spin on it.
Mm-hmm.
I wish they'd do that for the big leagues.
They might.
I mean, if it takes off,
they might adapt and do
something different to
speed it up and see what takes place.
Maybe this is a trial.
Never know.
They always start in the
minor leagues with the
things they want to tweak.
So now that we're through
the prospects in the end,
I want to just touch base,
and I'll give my series of
the week that I'm tuned in
on right now for the series,
the one specifically that I'm –
I'm looking forward to watching is, well,
actually, I should say there's two.
The first is in the NL or
the American League Central.
I want to see the Kansas
City Royals and the Cleveland Guardians.
And then the other one that
I'm tuned in on and
interested in is the
Cardinals Astros for the
same reasons we've already discussed.
The Astros are making a surge while the
cubs are falling apart and
that's a series right there
this week that I'm
interested in the cardinals
astros and again the the
kansas city royals and the
cleveland guardians the
royals are an interesting
team to me because they
have some power in that
lineup with perez and wit and vinny p but
there's a lot of room for
improvement there in that lineup.
The pitching has been
holding it together for him pretty well.
So I'll be very interested
in the Royals this weekend
against the division
leading guardians to see
how they hold their own.
Cause I think it's as much
as I'd like to say,
it's a three team race.
I think right now it looks
like it's going to be these two,
unless something, you know,
the tigers get red hot or
Royce Lewis comes back and
really sets the twins on fire.
Yeah.
My two for the week,
I'm going to call you one
of them as Royals Guardians.
I did some more on the pitching matchup.
They didn't announce anything.
Nothing.
The first game's it.
It's Lugo versus McKenzie.
Yeah.
And then game two is TBD versus Singer,
and then game three is TBD.
Yeah.
But I want to see what both
of those teams can do against the teams.
They're going to really be – like you said,
the two teams –
They're gonna fight for the central.
Mm-hmm.
Unless the Tigers lineup
leaks up Which Torkelson
going on triple-a we didn't
even touch on that Spencer
to know that hurt I didn't
almost sent you a message when I saw it,
but I didn't want to didn't
want to rub it in because I
like I wanted I think it's
the best movie could have
made was send him down and
figure it out and you
called the right guy up
It's the first time I think
where they've made a call
up like this where I'm
actually okay with the call-up.
I
I'm excited to see Molloy.
I'm excited to see what he does.
He's a top 10 in my Tigers top 10.
And I was calling for him
all of last year.
So I'm glad it's finally happening.
I think he went 0-2 tonight.
I believe he walked.
I'm not positive.
The Tigers won over the Rangers.
They did, yeah.
Behind two Jake Rogers home runs.
The guy that everybody,
when I wrote an article
about Torkelson getting
sent down and the roster
moves from today.
People were commenting on it
saying Rodgers is next.
Well, if Rodgers got sent down,
you wouldn't have a single run tonight.
Nope.
So, Malloy went 0-3 with two Ks.
So, an adjustment,
but Torkelson probably
would have gave you the
same thing with what he's
been doing lately.
Yeah, unfortunately.
It doesn't matter what the name is.
That would have been the same thing.
The other series for the week,
and I got two for the weekend,
which I'm sure you'll steal one of them,
Dodgers-Pirates.
And the only reason I picked
that series was the first
game is Tyler Glasnow versus Jared Jones.
Yep.
The second game,
welcome to the big leagues, Rook.
Paul Skeens versus James Paxton.
Have you seen any of the
Kenny Powers readovers for
Paul Skeens interviews?
No.
Oh, dear God.
They're great.
They're great.
It's hilarious,
and they fit because of
what he's doing so far,
but that's a good matchup
there too that'll be
interesting just in terms
of the pitching itself.
And then do you want to do
the weekend first?
I'll let you go because I
know one that you're going
to potentially steal is one
that I've got my eyes on
for different reasons, but go ahead.
The first one I'll do is the obvious one,
the potential World Series
matchup of Yankees-Dodgers.
First game Fridays on fucking Apple TV.
I just bought it because the
Red Sox are on back-to-back Fridays.
Yeah.
So I got it.
And so now I'm happy I got
it because that's another one.
And I wasn't going to buy it.
I was like, oh, you know what?
I'll do the seven-day free trial,
which maybe is what I did.
And I didn't buy it actually yet.
But the Red Sox are on again
at the end of June.
So I was like,
buying it for a month just makes sense.
It is a good broadcast.
I will say that.
My favorite part?
The broadcast is okay.
Okay.
My favorite part about it is
you can pick the radio
broadcasts in the right corner.
You can pick your favorite
team and go to their radio broadcast.
So I watched both Red Sox.
Well,
I found out about it for the Tigers game.
I watched Friday's game with
Joe Castiglione and Will
Fleming calling the game.
That's my new thing.
I'm not going to listen to
the Apple TV broadcast.
No, it's just nice.
Not the graphics,
but the actual footage of the game,
great.
But having that as an option,
can't beat it.
I got tired listening to
them talk about the Mookie Betts trade,
how you got Connor Wong for anything.
I was all set after that.
Like, why are we going back to this?
So long ago.
Leave it.
Four years.
Leave it alone.
Like, Rodrigo's not here anymore.
Who cares?
We didn't keep the best
player in baseball or one
of the best players in baseball.
Yeah.
But the pitching matchups.
I went through them today, and again,
they're not announced,
but I went through them
based on who should start.
Yeah.
It looks like Yamamoto's
getting the first game.
Mm-hmm.
And he's supposed to face,
I think his name's Potet.
I don't even know how you say his name,
but I think that's supposed
to be Clark Schmidt's spot.
The other one is Gavin Stone versus Cortez,
but Sunday Night Baseball.
Luis Hill or Gil, again,
however you say it,
against Tyler Glasnow.
Two of the hottest pitchers
in baseball right now.
And if you're not familiar,
I'm going to drop a plug in real quick.
I wrote on Saturday,
went live with a graphic as well.
The top 10 starting pitcher
power rankings for us.
I'm not sure if I'm going to
do that every week or if
I'm going to do it every two weeks.
Okay.
But as of right now,
Tyler Glass is number two.
If you want to see who's on it,
that article is available.
If not, the graphic is also available.
Either one.
But the top 10 is out.
Chris Sale was on it,
and that might change.
We'll see what he does in his next start.
So give that a check.
But Glasnow is number two.
So I'll tease that.
The other series,
I'm sticking with a team we
already talked about,
and I'm going with Mariners-Royals.
Yeah.
And I looked at the pitching matchups.
That's supposed to be Alec
Marsh against Bryce Miller,
Cole Reagans against Luis Castillo,
and Sundays is the best one.
Seth Lugo versus George Kirby.
I think Sunday is just made
for a pitching.
It is.
There's some good ones this weekend.
The Yankees-Dodgers was one
I was interested in,
but that was one that was
kind of underlying to me
because depending on how
they fare against the Guardians,
they go and play the Mariners,
and they can win that series.
That, to me, proves quite a bit,
especially with that
pitching that the Mariners have.
Is it wrong to say if they win,
if they go 5-2 this week
with one loss against each of those teams,
that they can be probably a game,
game and a half back?
Yeah, I mean, it's not that far off.
I don't know who the
Guardians have this weekend.
Well, the Guardians have the Marlins,
so it's going to be a
little harder to make up ground there.
Never mind.
Oh,
and we should also talk about the
London series.
Yeah, that's a little wonky there with,
I believe the Mets are
facing off against the Phillies,
which is why Christian
Scott got moved down is
because of so many days off.
They figured might as well send him down.
The other one really quick.
I wasn't,
I'm not as intrigued by that
tonight watching the Rangers game,
but it is a,
Is it a World Series?
It is a World Series rematch, isn't it?
Rangers, Giants?
No, it was the Rangers and Diamondbacks.
No, no, no, but I think it was... Oh, oh,
oh, oh, oh, yeah.
2012.
Yeah.
Because 2010 was Tigers, 2012 was Rangers.
Yeah.
And 20... Oh, maybe I have that backwards.
It was... Royals was the
14-1 because they won it in 15. 14...
was the Rangers, and 12 was the Tigers.
That's what it was.
Okay.
So my series that I'm most interested in,
obviously the one that we mentioned,
the Royals, Mariners, the Yankees,
Dodgers,
just because of the pitching matchup.
So those two we know.
The other two that I'm tuned
in on are obviously the Cubs-Reds.
The Reds are playing better
baseball right now.
They've got TJ Friedel back.
They've got the arms pitching well.
If the Reds can go in and take that series,
there's a chance that the Cubs,
as I've said,
could fall into fourth place.
But the other series, for me,
that's more intriguing is
based off of what they do
against the Astros,
and that's the Cardinals.
If the Cardinals can win the
series against the Astros...
they then get the rockies
and it is I believe it's in
st louis but if they can
come out and they can take
on and they can win the
series against the astros
they actually have a four
game series against the
rockies and the most likely
they're going to be six
games back at the end of
play tonight if they can
pull out that one yep the
brewers play the tigers
So if the Brewers even win that series 2-1,
or if they even, God forbid,
lose the series 1-2,
we could be going into Monday with St.
Louis a game, game and a half back.
And that, to me, is...
scary for the rest of the
National League Central.
The Reds, too.
I mean,
the Reds could come back and we
could see the Cubs fall down even further,
especially with the way
Pittsburgh's pitching
staff's been pitching.
And that to me is a big one.
The Cubs have to stop this
slide against Cincinnati in
Cincinnati this weekend.
But the Cardinals, to me,
even though it's not going
to be a great series overall,
if they come in and do what
they're capable of and keep
that winning streak going and momentum,
it could really catapult
them into the next week.
And that to me is the most
interesting is that what
this Cardinals team will do,
because I think next week,
especially they go back and
they've got the Pirates.
So it'll be another
divisional matchup to start.
So it's going to be very
interesting to see what happens.
And the Cardinals team, for me,
I love to watch Sonny Gray
pitch in general, but I really like,
as much as their arrival,
I enjoy watching their baseball games.
They're a lot of fun to watch.
Yeah.
So that's what I've got for the weekend.
Go ahead.
One other thing I want to plug is...
As a baseball podcast where
we cover prospects and everything,
it's College World Series time.
Yeah.
So that started this weekend.
And to me, I love March Madness.
The College World Series is
tough because you could be
the one seed and you go
into the first weekend of play.
And whereas in college basketball,
it's not likely a 16 seed
is going to upset you.
You go into college baseball, you go in,
and you get the fourth seed
in your region.
You lose, you're in the loser's bracket.
You lose right there, you're done.
And if you go into the loser's bracket,
you've got to win out,
and you're going to get a
team potentially that beat
you twice in the finals in that region.
It's just very tough to do.
I'm watching UConn, Oklahoma right now,
and Oklahoma won yesterday
to force the decisive game today.
And UConn's up 6-0 right now.
Yeah.
And so it's a perfect
example of Oklahoma's a 6 seed.
Yeah.
Or the 6th overall seed in the tournament.
And UConn just barely got in.
I think they're a 3 seed in that region.
And UConn steamrolled until
they lost yesterday,
and now they're up 6-0.
It's a lot of fun, but like you said,
you get in that loser's bracket.
It's tough sledding because
there's no mistakes.
The other thing about it, too,
and I want to touch on this really quick.
I wrote the beginning of
this before MLB started
college baseball season.
I talked about the three big
arms going into the draft
and how they were surprising everybody.
All three of those arms
after today are gone.
I'm sorry, three of the four.
Technically, Jack Cagliano...
who I wrote was potentially
the next Shohei.
I mean, the guy crushes baseballs,
and he left the arm.
Florida moved on today,
so Florida's still alive.
He pitched on Saturday and
actually got lit up by Oklahoma State.
So, I mean,
it's a fun time for college baseball.
Now they're going to enter
Super Regional weekend.
After this weekend,
we'll know who's the eight
teams in the College World
Series heading to Omaha.
And then after that, it's, you know,
the four teams from each side,
they face off.
And then after that,
we get the championship.
Yeah, it's a lot of fun.
If you're not huge in the college,
that's fine.
But this is the weekend to
start to tune in.
And again, we're, I guess,
we're cursed because now
Oklahoma's starting to get guys on.
They're just running all over the place.
It's tough for me personally
because as much as I like
college baseball and watching it,
I do enjoy watching the
college softball world series too.
It's not the same sport,
but it's the same premise and it's,
it's a lot of fun.
I watch a lot of that too
with my daughter when we can,
when she doesn't have her own games,
but I was watching quite a
bit of the college baseball
cause on ESPN plus just pop
it on four different
screens and then whatever games not on,
know uh a big moment you
just make that the big one
and and navigate it but it
is a lot of fun it is tough
you hear them talking about
okay they win this game and
then they play again
tonight yep now this is
it's real this is they go
after it they do have deep
rosters but at the same
time it's it's a lot of fun
right now to see I watched
the st john's against
mississippi state and
watched that game yesterday
and st john's got knocked out but yeah
It's a lot of fun.
West Virginia, I believe,
just made the Super
Regionals for the first time in history.
From what I've heard,
I don't know if I didn't go
back all the way,
but that's what I had heard.
There's also an option if
you like Red Zone or MLB Big Inning,
there is an option on ESPN
Plus called Squeeze Play
where all the teams are on
that one screen.
We brought up the Cardinals
again and they just went down 6-4.
Well, good, but I mean,
I don't want to jinx everybody.
I don't know.
Is there a team you want to
talk about before we get out of here?
No, I think the biggest thing for me,
one thing I saw,
and this is the last thing I'll say, is,
and I think it was, and don't quote me,
1988,
Roger Clemens had 23 complete games.
Bruce Hurst had 15.
Last year,
there was 35 in all of baseball.
Yep.
pretty incredible the
changes now again they
handle the arms a little
bit different but at the
same time that to me was
something my father and I
were talking about that was
just it's not the same for
multiple reasons but it's
you know those guys used to
really go out and battle
and throw and I don't know
they they do pitch counts
but at the same time are
they tracking all the days
I mean they don't really
have off days anymore
because it's a throwing program
They're always throwing.
And then they throw like 100
pitchers for a warm-up.
Yeah.
So it was an interesting
thing that kind of stood
out to me is you just don't
see it anymore.
And it's almost as big as
someone throwing a complete
game is almost like someone
throwing a no-hitter or a
one-hitter these days.
Yeah.
And that brings the question, though,
and I think the closest one is Verlander.
With that being said,
with guys going as short as
they do in the bullpen depth,
are we ever going to see
another 300-win pitcher?
I don't think we will.
That's going to be tough.
And not to drag it out any longer,
but I think we'll be
talking about Verlander for
a couple of weeks now,
depending on what happens in Houston.
He's not getting any younger
and wants to win.
That would probably come pretty cheap.
Does he, though?
I saw he said when he was
back in Detroit that he was
fine with going back to
Detroit to end his career.
And the Tigers, like we said,
they're falling off.
I think they're roughly 10 games out,
if not nine.
I mean,
he wants to go back to Detroit in
his career.
That could be a cheap,
cheap arm for Baltimore if
they don't make a move for Lizardo.
Not that they need him,
but in terms of what it
would cost compared to Lizardo,
give him the opportunity to go out on top,
and he's not the ace.
As long as he doesn't go to
the Yankees and somehow
figure something out magically.
What, and pitch another three years?
Be the Tom Brady?
Yeah.
I mean,
that was the most dominant pitcher
for a while.
Oh, it's unreal.
I don't know how he does it.
What's he have?
Three career no-hitters?
Two at least, right?
Yeah.
He gets better as the games go on.
Yep.
Just like his career.
And I guess you could say
the same for tonight
because he looked rocky to start.
He had four runs in the
first three innings.
And then all of a sudden, that was it.
So, same thing tonight.
yeah but interesting no lot
going on a lot to cover um
really excited to see the
growth in the prospect the
eastern league and um
what's still doing the
eastern league and
international which is
triple a is the triple and
then eastern double
international league will
cover so the easterly is
weird it covers a variety
of different teams
The International League is
pretty straightforward.
It covers all of the
American League and
National League East and
the American League and
National League Central.
All 20 teams between those
four divisions are covered in that.
There is one prospect for every team.
Even if your team doesn't
have a prospect in the top 100,
there is a player included
from that affiliate.
Those are both out every Monday.
I try my best to get both of those out.
If not,
they're both out Tuesday morning
before any team starts play.
It's a lot of work.
You're doing a good job with it.
It's definitely for anyone
that isn't even that big of
a minor league fan or even
a big league fan.
If you just want to learn a little bit,
it's a quick read, a lot of information,
a lot of good information,
a lot of names that you
probably should know.
And it has the – if you just
want to know how the team is doing.
So if you listen to this and
you're a team – a fan of somebody,
like a team is in your area.
So, for instance, for me,
Fisher Cats are close by.
I follow the Fisher Cats,
Blue Jays AA affiliate.
But I include the standings
going into the week and the
standings going following
the week and what's next up
for the next week.
So who are they playing?
Where are they?
Could you go see a game?
You know, everything's there.
It's –
It's a lot of work,
but everything is there for you,
so everything you want to know,
everything you need to know.
I'm open to ideas, too,
so if anybody has any ideas
of something they want to see in this,
feel free to reach out in
the comments of the article.
Maybe I do something where
if a player like Garrett Cole is on rehab,
I include something like that in there.
Anything you want to see, let me know.
Open to ideas.
Perfect.
