New Mom Podcast

Janice Armstrong’s story is one of loss, rebellion, healing, radical faith and redemption.

Growing up as a pastor’s kid, Janice knew about God from an early age. But after losing her mom young, grief and rebellion took her down a very different path eventually leading her to work as a go-go dancer. Then, a radical encounter with Jesus changed the trajectory of her life.

In this conversation, Janice shares her powerful testimony of finding faith, walking through nine years of debilitating sickness, experiencing healing, and eventually stepping into motherhood and the calling God had for her life.
Today, Janice shares the Gospel with thousands on social media, but her story is a reminder that the road to purpose rarely looks the way we expect. This conversation is raw, powerful, and full of hope for anyone walking through grief, waiting for healing, questioning their purpose, or wondering if God can redeem the broken pieces of their story.

Carrie:

Hello and welcome back to New Mom. I am your host, Carrie Alexander, and I am so excited to be with you here today. Today's conversation is a good one. I got to have my friend Janice Armstrong in the studio today to tell her testimony. Ladies, this is a story.

Carrie:

This is a God story. She walks us through literally from the time that she came to know the Lord all the way through nine years of being sick and praying fervently for healing and being told by the Lord that he would heal her and waiting for that healing to literally walking through, having her miracle child after ten years of illness. This story is so incredible. When she told it to me, we were on a double date one time. I like, I'm sorry.

Carrie:

You have to be on the podcast to tell this entire story because it all leads up to her becoming the mother that she is today, and she is such a light. She's a powerhouse of faith. You might know her from social media. She's at iamjanicearmstrong, I believe. And anyway, without further ado, here's my conversation with Janice.

Carrie:

Okay, Janice. Welcome to New Mom. Thank you so much for being here.

Janice:

I'm so glad to be here.

Carrie:

I'm so excited to have you. I wanted to have you on since we first met and we're church friends, by the way, here in in Nashville. Mhmm. And you you and your husband prayed over us our second time coming to church. And immediately, I was like, who is this prayer warrior?

Carrie:

Like, just admire you so much. I didn't even know you were a mom at the time because you were praying over us before we even met. We were just sitting and you're like, I'm gonna pray for you right now. Uh-huh. Anyway, and then I learned that you have a son Our kids are very close in age.

Carrie:

Yep. Like a month apart. Yeah.

Janice:

Think it's a week.

Carrie:

You're right. It's a week apart. And gosh, I just I just think you're so awesome. And then since getting to know you more, like learning your testimony and your story and your faith journey, it's just been just a gift and you're just such an encouraging presence. So anyway, thank you for being here with me today and with the moms that are that are listening.

Carrie:

I'm super grateful. Maybe let's just get started by, like, give me a little bit about you. Just like a short, like, who you are, how long you've been married, any little bio before we, like, dive into the deep end of all of it.

Janice:

Short bio before I go there. Well, I have been married for twelve years. I had my miracle baby. I'm 38. And I had my miracle baby a year ago.

Janice:

Yeah. And, I do social media, which we'll get into how that happened because it was totally God. And me and my husband were in ministry then like took a long break because I was sick. And then now the Lord's like relaunched me back in. So

Carrie:

He really has.

Janice:

In a short bio, that's it. That was so good. That's honestly, you nailed it.

Carrie:

Yeah. That's so awesome. Okay. So before we also dive in, I just wanna ask ask all my moms, what is the Lord teaching you in this season of motherhood? Like, now with Him, the exact age He is, like, what are you what are you learning?

Carrie:

What do you feel God telling you lately?

Janice:

I feel like one's definitely being present. Like, enjoying the moment. I'm such a visionary. I'm always thinking into the future. What can I do next?

Janice:

And it's like having my son has really taught me how to be present and really taught me how what's really important in life. I thought ministry and entrepreneurship was the most important thing to me. And then when Saint came, everything completely changed and I just realized like, this is what I was made for.

Carrie:

So yeah. I I relate to that so much. And also kids are such a time stamp on the way time is moving. It's like, oh, I need to be present because you're just seeing, like, we don't really see ourselves aging. At least I hope we don't.

Carrie:

You know what I mean? Like, we're kinda like, yeah, life's just rolling, you know, before you

Janice:

have kids. And then I feel

Carrie:

like ever since we had Archie, it's just like, oh, I see a difference in him in every week or I look back at photos from a month ago and it just makes you it's actually such a gift in a way because it makes you cherish moments more. Like, it makes you be more present because you see how fast and how fleeting it is that your kids growing up. Yes. I mean, yeah, we just celebrated their first birthdays, both the boys, and it's like, what? I don't know about you Stop it.

Carrie:

Yeah. We feel like we just had him. I'm like, gosh, I just recovered. I just healed. And now he's like, a year.

Carrie:

It's crazy. Goes by so fast. It goes by literally so fast. Like, I I feel

Janice:

like these years are the most important years. You never get these back.

Carrie:

No. And so it's

Janice:

just like every moment I'm trying to take like, you could slow down, Janice. Yes. Like, this is something you're not gonna wanna miss. You will regret if you do not slow down. And that's been a learning lesson.

Janice:

I can tell you something, slow down. Mhmm. Slow down.

Carrie:

That's so good. I'm listening or I'm not listening. I'm rereading. Have you ever read Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, the John Mark Comer book? Mm-mm.

Carrie:

Okay. I recommend that. It is so good and it's all about ruthlessly eliminating hurry from our lives as believers and following the pace of Jesus. And I read it, like, I think maybe I've read it like three times. I first read it when we were engaged.

Carrie:

And it is like one of those books that you read the first the first page. And it's almost like the Lord I swear that book's very anointed. It's like the moment that you start reading it, your body equates all of a sudden it like, I don't know, it it goes back to that pace. And I go from like, I'm reading and I'm I don't know, like I've got a lot of energy going on, all these things I'm doing. And the second I read that particular book, it's like I'm back to like Mhmm.

Carrie:

The pace of grace. And it helps me I feel like as a mom I've never read it as a mom before and I'm reading it as a mom and it's all about simplicity and Sabbath and slowing and digital fast and all those such helpful things. Yeah. And it's just like making me literally each day, if I start my my day by reading the word and then reading a little of that, I'm like, we're starting off at a slower pace. Like, slow, such a good word for motherhood.

Carrie:

How do you raise it?

Janice:

Like, I've been I've been even telling the Lord I've been getting different places that I wanted to speak at that I've been saying no to because I wanted to be present. And it's just like, I'm really learning like, no, you need to select this is the most important thing you could do. And the girl before would have been like, you watch him, I'm gonna go do my thing. That's what I thought when I was pregnant. But like, after having him, it's like, no.

Janice:

It's just like, this is the greatest ministry you can have. And I can't even believe I'm saying this because I remember my mother-in-law and my sister were like, do you even want this kid? I go, I don't know. I'm doing it so y'all leave me alone. But oh my gosh, like, it is the greatest ministry.

Janice:

I I didn't get it until I had him. It's like if you never had a rib eye, you do not know how good that rib eye is until you have it. Example. And when I had saying, I was like, man, slowing down is being able to be present in the moment. And we need to be that with Jesus.

Janice:

Mhmm. Like it's making me even see that with my relationship with Him. I'm trying to wait for the next thing I think He wants me to do instead of being present in the moment, just sitting at His feet and learning how to do that. We live in such a fast paced culture that it's like we're having to hurry through everything. But he never said to hurry through His presence.

Janice:

It's to sit at His feet and just like, Jesus, here I am. And I feel like even having Him is re teaching me how to sit at His feet and just like, this is the purest form of worship I can do. I don't have to say anything. I don't have to do anything. I could just sit here in your presence, and that is productive.

Janice:

Well, I can just wait here in your presence, and that is productive. I just feel like the Lord's been teaching me even with saying, that's my son, just like sitting in his presence is productive. Waiting is productive. And I used to think productive was me doing, doing, doing, doing.

Carrie:

Oh, yeah.

Janice:

And it's like the greatest thing that we could do is just sit and wait at his feet.

Carrie:

Okay. Preach. We're already going off. Yeah. So good.

Carrie:

So your story is there's so many things, there's so many layers, and I want us to get to all of it. Like, we're not in a rush here. This could be a two parter. We just don't know what the Lord's gonna do. But I want like, I just wanna say this, like, from the parts of your story that I've heard, which we're new friends.

Carrie:

I haven't even heard all of it. Like, I I'm so excited to hear more that I don't know. But when we sat down for our first double date, you guys, like, went there and told us. You're like, oh, oh, how we met our story? Here we go.

Carrie:

And you, like, unloaded it. And it is long in some senses, but, like, we you kept being like, should I just, like, should I just stop? Like, are you did you get enough of the story? And we were like, no. I've never been more enthralled of the story in my life because God is so faithful in your story.

Carrie:

And I I just love it. So anyway, I want moms, like listeners, I want you guys to stick around for the story because you're a beautiful mom now. Like, you have a son on the other side of this testimony. Mhmm. But hearing the before makes the after all that more beautiful.

Carrie:

So we could just sit here and talk about what an amazing mom you are to saint all day and we will a little bit. But that's why I want you to tell the whole story. I know this is mom podcast, but I'm like, I want you to go there because it makes you're just living in, like, the goodness of God on on this side of things and he was with you all the way through. So anyway, tell us your story. Like, wherever you wanna start, honestly, if you wanna start with, like, how you met the Lord, you know, and kinda just go through and, you there was illness and stuff.

Carrie:

But, wherever you wanna

Janice:

start, honestly. I think I I wanna start, I just feel like in my heart cause I think a lot of people I don't hear a lot of people talking about this. I don't know if this has happened to anybody else, but my mom issues came up when I got married and then when I had a baby. It's like different things and I feel like a lot of people don't talk about that. It's like, motherhood will also bring up stuff you didn't have.

Janice:

Mhmm. And like, and so I feel like going back to kinda where it started will give the full picture of where God take take took me now. And so I was actually raised in a church my whole entire life. I'm a pastor's kid. And, whenever, I was around four three years old, my mom passed away.

Janice:

So she got sick right after I was born and, eight months later. And then at three years old, oh my gosh, I'm probably gonna need tissues. Okay. I'm three years old. She passed away, for leukemia and so I never knew her.

Janice:

And so therefore, I didn't know a mother's love. And, so it you don't know really what childhood trauma actually could do. And, like, my dad was so present in the church and, he was a good dad, but he was so present in the church that we were just with our aunts and with my grandmothers. And I really didn't know what it was like to have a mom. And I feel like I started having a lot of issues, especially in high school, finding my worth.

Janice:

And my I remember my junior year in high school, I went to this party and it was my first party I ever went to. I don't know if something got put in my drink or what, but I knew something happened the next day. If you've ever seen that movie, Mean Girls where everybody goes to the school and they throw papers at them and say, you slut, you whore. That kind of happened to me. And I didn't know what happened because I blacked out.

Janice:

And then I made this vow, that I would never ever let men hurt me like that again. And I had all these issues now with women, now I have these issues with men too. And so I I I started working at the bars and clubs at age 18, my senior year in high school. My dad knew nothing about it. Even though he was a pastor, he knew nothing about it.

Janice:

I kept, you know, definitely a secret, became a really good liar. And I remember as I started working at these clubs, I just felt so empty because I knew inside there was something more in life, but I didn't know if God was real. Even though I was a pastor's kid, I didn't know if Jesus was real because everything that's happened in my life after those guys took advantage of me, after my mother died, I just felt like, I don't even know, God, if you're even real, for I even wanna serve you. So I went on this, like, search to find what true love was. And I started looking into different religions, different relationships.

Janice:

And I remember, I I met this one guy at the bar and I ended up going to his house and I ended up giving myself to him voluntarily. And that was the first time I ever did that. And I remember crying and I said, God, I went into the bathroom and I said, God, I was like, I wanted to wait. There was something inside me that wanted to wait. And I remember when I came out, he goes, he said to me, he's, are you okay?

Janice:

I said, no, I'm not. And I felt like I ended up having to be with this guy because of, you know, I gave myself to him voluntarily. I have no idea what happened to the last one, but voluntarily I did. And I was still working at the bars and clubs. I was a go go dancer.

Janice:

And so I'll be in my bra and my dad knew nothing about this. Funny part, I went back to church and told my testimony and hear it for the first time in front of the whole church. I was like, I didn't know if I could So do any of I met God actually in the bar dancing in pretty much my bra and underwear on a pole. Woah. Woah.

Janice:

Woah. Woah. How did

Carrie:

what do you mean? Like, how did that? What was that moment like?

Janice:

So I was with this jerky guy, and, I was also, working during the day at this hair salon. And I I I as I was dancing on the bar, all of a sudden, which people would probably say this sounds crazy, I started hearing, like, people's thoughts, the pain they were going through. I was feeling it was like I was feeling what the Lord was feeling, like all their pain. And it was so overwhelming. I remember I went to the bathroom, I started throwing up, and I heard the voice of God and he said, get out of here while you can.

Janice:

And I said, what? Because I was like, so like what because I was like, where is this coming from? And I heard it again, and he said, get out of here, even louder, while you can. And I remember I ran out of the bar, and my boss comes up to me. He's like, where are you going?

Janice:

I said, I gotta get out of here. I go, I quit. And he goes, you can't get back up on stage. I said, no, I quit. You can keep the money.

Carrie:

So you didn't waste a second. You listened immediately. Like when

Janice:

you heard was that overwhelming. Wow. It's like, you know, like, which this was nothing. I don't wanna say this. It's like, I just felt everybody's pain in the room.

Janice:

Mhmm. It was so overwhelming that I had to get out of there. Like it hurt so bad. That everybody was going

Carrie:

the heartbreak that the Lord felt

Janice:

for Yes. That room of There were lost and I was one of them. And I didn't know how lost I was at the moment, but I I ran out of there and he goes and I just said, I don't want your money. Keep it. I'm done.

Janice:

And I still was with this guy though, because I felt like I gave a part of him to me him, that I had to stay with him. So it was like an emotionally abusive relationship. And I actually had an internship because I graduated top at my hair school to actually go to LA and do makeup for Nice. Yeah. For like, movies, movie sets, stuff like Planet of the Apes, making those stuff.

Janice:

So I graduated top of my school, I was gonna go do that. And I remember my I lost my job that I had in the moment even with hair. They told me, they said, Janice, you just don't have a personality. But really it was because I was in an abusive relationship. When you're in an abusive relationship, you just start to shut down.

Carrie:

Yeah, that's true.

Janice:

And so I was just shutting down, but I did my job. And I remember he ended up breaking up with me in the same moment. And this is where kinda like my journey started of healing of my mother. My grandmother, who I haven't talked to in four years, ended up calling me because she was one of those praying grandmothers. And I didn't wanna hear what God had to say, but in this moment, I was at my breaking point.

Janice:

And a couple days before she called me, I was trying to take my life. I was, trying to figure out all these pills, trying to Google how to do it in a painless way because I didn't wanna, like, hang myself or anything like that. And so I started popping pills one night, and I took a whole bottle. I don't remember exactly what bottle it was. And then I started drinking myself to sleep hoping I wouldn't wake up.

Janice:

And I remember right before I did this, I said, God, if You're real, show me. My grandmother, like I said, who I haven't talked to in four years, she ended up calling my dad the next day. And she said, I need to speak to Janice right now. And, my dad came and knocked on the door. He said, he said, Janice, your grandmother needs to talk to you right now.

Janice:

And I knew she was gonna tell me something that God said because I know I prayed that prayer. And she said, the Lord gave me a dream last night that you were in your room. You were drinking yourself to sleep, popping pills. The enemy's trying to kill you through suicide, but God has a plan and a destiny for your life. Get up to Tennessee right now.

Janice:

I have nothing left for me. I had nothing I lost my job. I lost this guy I thought I was in love with, but it was lust. And I was just like, you know what? I have nothing left.

Janice:

So I went to Tennessee. When I as soon as I walked in through those doors, something inside me, which I knew is demonic now, but I was like, I don't like her. And she knew because that woman carried so much discernment. She knew, she looked at me, and this was my thought. Like, was like, something inside me does not like this woman.

Janice:

And she looked at me and she goes, no, this is good. And she just sat there and she just grabbed me and she hugged me and she just started singing over me and praying over me. And then for two weeks, she showed me heaven and hell videos. It freaked me out. I remember I ran to my room and I said, God, if you're real, I don't wanna go there.

Janice:

Because I put Hollywood and all that stuff on postpone to see if God was real. I said, God, I'll give you six months. And if you show me you're real, I'll give you my life for the rest of my life. I went to all these churches, because I ended up staying with her. I went to all these churches.

Janice:

They were all dead. And I remember the rule was if you live with Nan, you gotta go to church. And one day, she came back, because she forgot her bible, and I started lying to her because I thought all the churches were dead. Even though I didn't even believe in God, I don't know why, because it's always in you. The seed's in you.

Janice:

Mhmm. And I remember she came back, and I was in my bathing suit. I was gonna go to the lake. So I dressed up before, and then she left, and I went in my bathing suit. And she came back, she forgot her bible, and she when she walked over there, she goes, Janice, what are you doing?

Janice:

I said, I'm gonna be honest with you, nanny. I said, all those churches are dead. I don't want anything to do with them. I can get more watching Jensen Franklin on TV than any of these other things. And she looked at me, she goes, oh, no.

Janice:

And she went back to her room, started praying in the Holy Ghost. I went back to my room, started cussing at God about how I can't stand this woman. Get me out of here. Like, I'm in the boondocks, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, when I should be in LA. Yeah.

Janice:

And

Carrie:

how old are you, by the way, at this time?

Janice:

21. 21. Okay. Uh-huh.

Carrie:

Gotcha. Prime age to be irritated by grandma regardless of, like, these crazy

Janice:

Yeah. Sort of titties. And then she I remember she this was a few months in of really pressing in. And I for those few months, one thing I forgot, she was so good at this. I was still suicidal.

Janice:

I was still dealing with the pain. Every night, I was literally on the floor banging saying, God, if you're real, I'll give you my life for the rest of my life. You just have to take this pain away, please. She would hear me every night for the past three months. She would come in the room, and she would just literally hold me.

Janice:

And she would just sing, oh, the blood of Jesus. And let me tell you, those spirits would leave. And every night she did that, and I would just cry. Now I started getting to the place like, God, why when she prays, things change. But when I pray, nothing changes.

Janice:

And after that whole incident with the bathing suit, she comes in as I'm telling God off how long do you have to let me be with this blah blah blah woman. And, she comes in. She goes, the Lord told me to tell you to go to this church called Abba's House in Tennessee or in, Hixon, Tennessee. So I went to this church. First of all, I said, man, that's a Baptist church.

Janice:

I was raised spirit filled my whole life. Even though I didn't believe, it's still in you. And I remember right before I walked into this church, because that was the rule I had to go to the church, I said, God, I said, you have to answer these three questions, and I will be yours for the rest of my life. I promise you. Just answer these three questions.

Janice:

This is six months in, and I gave God the six month mark. And I actually changed my phone number because it hurt so bad that that guy wasn't calling me. I changed it so I know I wouldn't look at my phone anymore. Yeah. Yeah.

Janice:

And I said, God, why am I here? What is my purpose in life? And am I still supposed to be with this guy because I'm still in love with him? And right after I prayed that prayer, right before I walked into this church, he called me. He somehow got my number because that's how the devil works.

Janice:

Mhmm. Sometimes it can look like girls can look at this and be like, oh my gosh. This must be the Lord. It's a sign. Yeah.

Janice:

No. It's not. It could be the enemy knows when your breakthrough's about to come, and he's gonna do everything to stop you from getting that breakthrough. That's the truth. And so right before I walked in, he said, I want you back.

Janice:

And that was everything I wanted to hear. And I said, I don't know what to do with this. I gotta get off the phone. I got off the phone, and I walked in this church. I've never seen anything like this in my life.

Janice:

Even still to today, I have not seen a church like this. So I walked into this youth and young adult place, and they literally started the services with this huge cross. And they had all these, like, names nailed to this cross, and everybody started out with testimonies. Like, I heard former people who were into witchcraft, girls who were going through what I was going through, people struggling in their identity where they were confused of who they are, getting completely set free delivered, people throwing their drugs on the altar saying, we don't want it anymore, like stomping on it. And I'm like, wow, this is wild.

Janice:

And people were literally calling in the middle after they were praying for those people, calling for their salvations in these services. They started calling those people, saying, I'm just thinking about you. Literally, they'll put them on speakerphone, and they give their lives to Jesus over speakerphone as we're, like, doing I was like, but this is, like, the gospel. Wow. Like, this is the gospel.

Janice:

Like, I've I've I've heard it my whole life, but this is real, and I wanted something that was real. I said, I'll give you my life if you show me you're real. And it was in the Boondocks, Tennessee that God showed me he's real. And I remember the pastor, he said, there's one more person that's supposed to come up here, and I literally felt the Holy Spirit pick me up. And I remember these three questions I asked the Lord.

Janice:

Never met this guy in my life. I remember walking up because I knew if I didn't go to him, he was gonna come to me. And I remember walking up to him, and he said, I have three answers for you. Yes, you're supposed to be here. God's gonna use your voice to change this generation.

Janice:

And this guy you're with, he's holding you back on who God has for you. And if you don't let him go, you're not gonna walk into your destiny. I remember I fell to my knees, all the suicidal thoughts because I was still dealing with that for months. Like, it just left, and I said, Jesus, I give you my life for the rest of my life. I'm yours.

Janice:

And that's how that journey started with that. Wow.

Carrie:

Yeah. Got me in tears.

Janice:

That's incredible. So you're 21

Carrie:

when this happens?

Janice:

I am 21. Yeah.

Carrie:

Oh my gosh.

Janice:

You didn't end up in LA, obviously.

Carrie:

Yes. No. That didn't happen. Okay. So when and you can fill in as much as you want in between.

Carrie:

But when did you meet your husband? When did you meet Andrew? Like, how long had you been walking with Jesus then? You were It all in was three years later. Okay.

Janice:

So I moved back to Charlotte. Mhmm. I felt like the Lord told me to move back to Charlotte. And I had a cousin who I had no Jesus friends. And so I was like, I if I'd come back to the city of where my former, you know, pattern is of who I was, I need to make new friendships.

Janice:

Yeah. So I went to, this church where a cousin I haven't met, she's like my second cousin. My nanny was just like, there's a cousin you have there. She goes, it's really good church. And so I went to this church, and it was a bunch of young adults who were really on fire for the Lord.

Janice:

And I met her. And through that, I met my husband because of her. And I ended up going to ministry school there. And I met him in actually in ministry school. And we literally only knew each other probably, we knew each other for a year, didn't like each other for a year.

Janice:

How can I say this on camera that, like, will be bad? I was so I come from such a radical background. Mhmm. Like, everybody that I was around had, like, crazy stories of, like, night and day difference. And so I just felt like, how do I say this?

Janice:

I'm trying to say this in a nice way. I felt like at least the church we were at, there was some things I wasn't really in agreement with, not with my husband, agreement with. And I just like, I just was like I I was like an all in non compromised girl.

Carrie:

Yeah. I mean, that doesn't surprise me.

Janice:

And so, like, it wasn't him. It was the fact that sometimes he would stand up for these people because his heart's always to see the good in everybody. Andrew.

Carrie:

Yeah. Of course.

Janice:

And sometimes I'm like, sometimes you just need to call out what actually is. Fiery about it. Yeah. And I I am

Carrie:

still that made you such an amazing combination, but I can see how you would have, like, butted heads at the beginning.

Janice:

But it's me now. Mhmm. Because sometimes I could only call out, like, da da da da da instead of, like, okay, first see the good Mhmm. In someone. And if the Holy Spirit ask the I've learned this.

Janice:

Ask the Holy Spirit what he thinks of that person instead of what you see the sin that everybody that's obvious that people could see. What is the Holy Spirit saying about this person? And usually, every time I do that, the root is never usually what I see. It goes back to something they're really hurting from. And he said, now I want you to pray for them.

Janice:

So since we we live in such a call out culture

Carrie:

Yeah. We do.

Janice:

That it's just like, let's just call out the sin, but why not? Let's pray for the root and get them set free and delivered.

Carrie:

I was even thinking that when you were talking about in the club when you felt like you felt the Lord's pain. Mhmm. Right? Like, didn't feel necessarily the Lord's, I mean, I don't wanna speak for you, but it sounds like you were saying you didn't just feel His wrath and judgment. You felt His heartbreak.

Carrie:

Like, you felt because we are all his children. Mhmm. It's funny. I just think that's, like, such a different we can always be like, oh, Christians are judgmental or, you know, God is just judging all the sins. Like, no, his heart just breaks when we don't live into the fullness of what he has for us, when we don't live the way we were created to live.

Carrie:

Mhmm. That he made us to to thrive in that way. So anyway, that's just but honestly, you and Andrew are such a good pair for that reason. Because it's like you can you can see it and you go deeper and he has like the the soft side and it makes you such a good combo. But that's funny.

Carrie:

I I forgot that you guys were not hitting it off right away.

Janice:

Oh, yeah. Everybody would try. Like I would be at my, because I started doing hair again and everybody would at my salon, like there's this guy out there. And they wouldn't know him or know anything or he goes to church. Every time there was like four different incidents that he's came.

Janice:

And every single person here, I met this guy, and he's in my chair. You need to go look him and see if he's hot. But he loves Jesus. He's a pastor. He's so you because you're always preaching.

Janice:

And every time it was Andrew, like, I go, oh, I can't stand that guy. I'm like, but every time it was him. And one of them said, you're gonna marry this one. I go, heck no. And I was trying to hook, like get him to like date some of my friends because they thought he was cute and he never was.

Carrie:

So what was the turning point? What changed?

Janice:

Cause you got engaged quickly. With the turning point, I think what changed was, I ended up having a for my birthday, I ended up wanting a crusade at my house and to win my whole neighborhood to Jesus. So You won. For your birthday. I'm sorry.

Carrie:

I love you so much. It's amazing. So everybody's birthday wish.

Janice:

Yeah. It was awesome. I I saw the Lord man, I saw the Lord move so much in that birthday party just because of that, like, childlike faith, I wanna see my neighborhood saved, Jesus. And so I would go out and pray for, like, every night as loud as I could because I just felt that's what you're supposed I'd praying even the Holy Ghost out loud in my neighborhood. I'm just like, well.

Janice:

And I had so many people encounter the Lord because I would just walk in people's garages. I would like pray for people if I saw them walking their dog. I'm like, it was crazy story. So by the time I had my birthday party, the church ended up funding it. And so they said that he had helped me.

Janice:

And so he started helping me and I was like, you know what? He's the only guy that could put me in my place. He's the only guy that can challenge me. Everybody else I can walk all over. I like that.

Janice:

That makes sense.

Carrie:

Yeah. You respected him.

Janice:

Yeah. Yeah. He could put

Carrie:

me in

Janice:

my place. I'm a strong woman.

Carrie:

You are.

Janice:

He could put me in my place.

Carrie:

That's so good. So then you guys fall in love.

Janice:

Yeah. You get did you say you

Carrie:

got engaged in three months? You got married in three months?

Janice:

We got engaged in three months and then married three months later.

Carrie:

Okay. So it's Oh, wow. Okay. That's a quick timeline. It was.

Carrie:

So dive us into

Janice:

And that's this is where the next story goes. So we got round two. Round two. Testimony. We go from glory to glory.

Janice:

Yes, we do. This is this is the one I've heard

Carrie:

more of and I think it's so impactful and I think so many women that are walking through valleys are gonna wanna have the hope that this story entails. But anyway, hit us with it.

Janice:

Yeah. So after we got married, it's like right before I got married, the mommy issues came up again. It's so weird. I feel like at pivotal moments, like parent issues come up. I don't know.

Janice:

Have you ever dealt with that?

Carrie:

Oh, yeah. I mean, I think I think we all do. Like you just said, I think that it's like it's such a natural thing to when you're having these giant life moments to go back. It's like the Lord's always bringing things up from from childhood. I definitely feel that.

Carrie:

Yeah. I think so many

Janice:

must do. I will It did for me.

Carrie:

But of course, I also haven't lost my mom. Like, I can only imagine that specific hole, like, being something that the Lord's always gonna be trying to heal, you know? Right. It's like, it's gonna come up. I imagine when you're married, when you're having kids, when your kids, grad, like all those phases.

Carrie:

That's just like, I have a few friends that have walked through losing their mom. It's like, no small thing. I feel like it's probably a journey for the rest of your life, you know?

Janice:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that that started coming up again and I was really angry. It's like, never grieved her death because it's like, how can you grieve someone you never knew?

Janice:

And so I never knew her, but it's like I started grieving what I didn't have. Mhmm. I started grieving and getting angry at her. It's like all those little emotions they say you go through hurt, mad, sad, all those phases. It was like I was going through all those phases right before we got, like, our wedding.

Janice:

And I remember just crying constantly. And right after we got married, I remember Andrew tried to take me to the movie theaters, and I just the scene of a mom dying just came in. I just fell on the ground and just started weeping. I'm like, what is going on in fear? It was fear.

Janice:

Like, a lot of fear tried to come on me. Grief was coming on me, angry for like, why didn't you have enough faith? It was like all these thoughts that I was having, I threw away all her stuff that everybody gave me, which I really sad about that. I can't get it back now. But I was just so angry for her leaving me.

Janice:

And I remember that, my first, you know, two weeks after getting married, I got sick with mold. And we let we met we moved into this place that we got a really good deal on and I got it had mold, and I didn't know what it was. So and I I come from a family where we don't really share our feelings. Like we just speak all the good things. You speak good things, you get good things.

Janice:

You speak bad things, you get bad things. More of the word of faith movement. And so Andrew did not come from that. It was more they were very vulnerable. They did share their feelings.

Janice:

And so I didn't tell him for a year that I was going through this. Woah. But he knew I was, like, going through something with that. He was like, why don't you tell me? I can't say it.

Janice:

I can't say it. And like, so I because I was just trying I was afraid that if I said it, then it would give it power Mhmm. Over my life. I didn't know that you could share your feelings and it's okay as long as you're like not sitting in it. Yeah.

Janice:

And so, after that year, I finally told him, like, something is literally wrong with me. I physically feel it, and I know you've been seeing it. I even tried to actually not leave him for good that first year, but just leave him for a little bit till I got better. But my dad was like, you're married now, you can't come back. Sorry, girl.

Janice:

And use your because I didn't know him. Yeah. It's like, we didn't know we only knew each other for six months. So it's like, I didn't feel safe with him yet. I felt safe with my parents.

Janice:

I didn't feel safe with him. And so, like, I had to learn how to be safe with him in this moment too. And he didn't know what to do. I mean, he was just sitting there thinking we're gonna have a lot of sex and we're gonna have so much fun

Carrie:

doing a

Janice:

married and

Carrie:

three days. Yeah.

Janice:

We waited for this. And that was not what happened. And so I felt so guilty for that too because I was like, man, he waited his whole life for me and look at and I felt guilty. So I was like, telling him to like, leave me and like, go find somebody, you know, that could give you children. I don't know if I'll ever be able to give you children.

Janice:

And this went on for like ten years. And I remember at the eight year mark, I said, God, I was just like, I go, are you going to heal me or not? And I know He gave me a promise, though, because he had me write out my testimony a year in after being sick. He said, I need you to write out your testimony as though it's done. If Abraham can call himself a father to many nations before he was, Janice, you can call yourself healed.

Janice:

I said, Holy Spirit, I don't know how to write out this done deal testimony. Like, I I can't even dream beyond this moment. You're gonna have to help me. And so he had me actually write out this testimony. It took around three to four months.

Janice:

And I was writing out different things that I was gonna do with my life about starting a family, about starting, you know, a ministry, just different desires that he's put in my heart. And he said, every time you doubt me, I want you to get this testimony out. And I was just like, okay. And it started out the first few years, you know, I would get out this testimony and nothing changed. But I would get it out because that was his promise.

Janice:

And after probably, I would say, eight year mark is when I got healed from the mold. And he told me he was gonna heal me from the mold. And I was so excited. I was like, thank you, Jesus. You healed me.

Janice:

You healed me from all this mold stuff. I was I went out two weeks later to go pray in the woods. And I was just like, Jesus, like, thank you, Lord, for healing me. Thank you, Lord, for delivering me. And then I got bit by a tick outside in the woods, and I contracted neurological Lyme disease.

Janice:

I at first, I I didn't know what was happening to me. My husband would be holding me down in the bed as I'm screaming because physically weird stuff was happening to me. And I was just like, it was the scariest thing that I've ever been through, honestly, in my life, worse than anything I've ever went through. And I I I started getting to the place where the Lord's like, get your testimony out. I I if I could just be really honest, because I I just wish people would always share the middle process of this stuff.

Janice:

I I told God off, I don't know how many times. I I definitely cussed. I said a lot of words. And after three months of, like, telling them off, I I I got to the place where I was just like, alright, God, I'm ready to hear what you have to say. I'm done telling you off, Lord.

Janice:

What are you saying to me, Jesus? And I heard him say, Janice, I haven't changed my mind. I want you to walk into this next year that I'm still gonna restore your health and heal your wounds. And I could barely do anything. And as a person who's such a go go person, such a visionary person, to feel like your life is on hold for like almost a decade now, watching your friends surpass you when it comes to things they wanna go after, just starting a family.

Janice:

Mhmm. And you're like you feel so behind. Like, honestly, I I got when I hit the whole Lyme disease part, I remember I gave I gave my husband the rings my rings. And I said, I think you need to find somebody else. I didn't want him to leave me.

Janice:

I didn't wanna leave him, but I gave him my rings because I was just like, I think you need to find somebody else while you're young so you can start a family. I don't know if I'll be able to do that for you. And, he said, I don't want anybody else. I want you and we're gonna have a family and you're gonna get through this. He was like, my biggest cheerleader in this process.

Janice:

Even though there was nights I saw fear in his eyes. Mhmm. Like, would feel lonely if anybody's ever gone through something physically. Like, sometimes I could start getting it's like, he can't handle it right now. And Mhmm.

Janice:

It felt really lonely, like, lonely. I lost majority of my friends. I I lost all my dreams during that moment. I every year my husband would pass, this was, like, almost, almost ten years in. Every year that would pass, it just felt like, you know, are we gonna have a kid this year?

Janice:

And he was just like I was just like, maybe next year. Maybe next year. And every time it was maybe next year because there was so much fear of also, you know, having kids because I didn't have a mom when I had kids. And I'm sick. How can I even take care of a kid if I'm sick?

Janice:

Like, I can't even take care of myself. And I I got to the point where I just because I was still volunteering as much as I could at church, but then I would be out for two weeks because of my physical stuff that was going on. It was the most frustrating thing, and I got to the point where I wanted to take my life again. And, I but I wasn't going to because I didn't wanna go to hell. And so but I wanted to because it wasn't living.

Janice:

Even my doctor would say, this isn't living. Like, how you physically like, this is not living out. I I was like, I'm gonna need to fire this guy because obviously he doesn't believe I can get better. And I just remember I said, Lord, I just said, I don't know if I wanna be here anymore, if this is how you want my life to be. And I I'm tired of that testimony.

Janice:

I just wanna rip it up because it looks so far from that. Like, my life got worse and worse. This is, like, almost a decade in. And I remember the Lord said to me, he was just like, Janice, well, first, kept this is a really important part. I called my husband right after or before I prayed that, and I said, I don't know if I wanna be here anymore, I just hung up the phone.

Janice:

He comes racing home because he's like, oh my God, is she gonna do something crazy? And so right after I prayed that, I heard the voice of the Lord. He said, Janice, if you go in this to this meeting in forty eight hours, your life is gonna change and it will never be the same. And I had just enough faith to show up because I could barely drive. I couldn't even I was so scared to even drive to the grocery store because I never knew when my eyes would randomly start shaking.

Janice:

And like, I was just wanting to be able to go to Hobby Lobby again and Target again and all those places, but I couldn't even go because of physically what I was going through. It was just like torture. And I remember right after I heard that, I said, okay. And when Andrew came home, I said, I'm about to go to this meeting, tomorrow. It's two hours away.

Janice:

My dad's gonna drive me. You're gonna stay home, and you're gonna pray for me like you've never prayed for me before. And I said, because I can't live like this anymore. Mhmm. And I remember those two hours, I had just enough faith to show up.

Janice:

I had all these mighty men and women of God pray for me to be healed and nothing ever changed. Because I was going out of desperation. Like, would always go to every prayer line. Then I got to the point where I'm done going to these prayer lines. Yeah.

Janice:

But I heard the Lord. And I I this is my last chance. I was like, I'm gonna obey you. I have that mustard seed faith, Jesus. Yeah.

Janice:

And so I walked, up to this place, and I just remember this person that was preaching, it wasn't even that good. I was like, this person's not even that good of a preacher. But I'm telling you, demons were manifesting everywhere. And I'm like, what the heck? She's just reading the Bible, but it's the anointing that breaks the yoke.

Janice:

Mhmm. And I remember she said that there's one more person that's supposed to come up here. And like, I said and I felt like the Lord, like, said because I had a thing I felt like a strong thing around my head. She's it's like you're feeling something around your head. And as I what and I knew that was me.

Janice:

As I went up there, she looked at me and she said to me, she's is there anything you need to renounce? And I've renounced things I don't know how many times. I've tried to break things off my life this whole entire decade. But when I got on that stage, it was like the anointing was that's all I could say. The anointing was there.

Janice:

I felt the presence of God. And when I renounce certain things that's happened in my life and even, like, grieving my mother's death and fear, because the root of it was fear Mhmm. And I knew it. I where there's, like, a I always feel like, well, there's a symptom and different things going on in your body and different things like that. I'll always feel like there's a root.

Janice:

Mhmm. There's always a root. And I knew exactly when it came in. I remember the moment right before I got married Mhmm. Where the seed came.

Janice:

And I renounced this spirit of fear, and I remember literally falling on the ground, and I just felt like it lift off of me. It just completely and I started even, like, renouncing different things about fear about being a mom Mhmm. That I wouldn't be able to love them or that it would hold my life back. And all these different things, I just started renouncing anything that I could think of, and, literally, it broke off of me. I remember calling my husband.

Janice:

I said, Andrew, it's gone. It's gone. And he said, what do you mean it's gone? I'm telling you, I'm healed. I know the spirit left, so every symptom I had all the symptoms, though, still.

Janice:

And I think this is very important too. Like, I but I know you know how you try to say stuff by faith? Like, I'm healed by the stripes of Jesus. Like, I always wanted to believe that, but I didn't. I quoted it, but my heart didn't believe it.

Janice:

But as soon as that spirit of fear left me, I was full of faith. Like, I believed it. I went home, and I had the worst flare up. And I remember I got up, and I just said, no. Devil, you're not stealing this.

Janice:

I know what the Lord did for me. And it whoop, and it lift off of me. And I said, Lord, what's my step of faith? He goes, I want you to do DoorDash. And so I started doing DoorDash.

Janice:

And remember, my eyes would shake. Yeah. So that I that was my step of faith. I still had symptoms. And so as I was doing DoorDash, that never happened.

Janice:

I started praying for people to be healed and set free as I was delivering food, and I saw the power of God during these things. Because freely as I received, I wanna give. And so I started just doing that. And as I started doing that, the Lord said, now it's time to actually go after your testimony you've been declaring now for the past decade. And so one of the things that I did is I walked into a Target.

Janice:

I would never go into the baby section. Like, never. Any baby stuff, anything to do with kids, I ran. I was like, get away from me. I thought I I I didn't even understand how people could think, this is how messed up it was.

Janice:

Like, how can you think they're cuter than puppies? Like, what's wrong with you guys? Puppies are, the cutest thing. And, like, I just didn't understand. I had such a fear of it holding me back Mhmm.

Janice:

Because I felt like with not having a mom, I didn't know how to love with what she she left me. And, like, so I went through all that stuff before, and I was just like, how can I take care of this child? And then also, I feel like I believed this lie that I have to put my life on, like, a five year hold because I had people tell me, like, oh, just wait. When you have children, everything you're doing, I'm like, I'm not doing nothing. My life has been hold for ten years.

Carrie:

And you say that's what had you on hold.

Janice:

Yeah. It's just starting. Like, don't tell me I have to do another five years of a hold. I've been sitting here with dreams in my heart. Mhmm.

Janice:

And I thought all these lies. But when I got set free from fear, that left. And I was like, take me to the Target. And my husband was just like, oh my god. This is a miracle.

Janice:

She's walking into the baby section. And, like, it was just, like, such a testament of what the Lord's done, and he knew it. Because he knew I would never walk into a baby section. And as I started doing the DoorDash, like, I I I started getting better and better. And then he said, now it's time to do social media.

Janice:

So I started doing, social media within ninety days. Like, because I I put on my testimony sheet that I'd be preaching to the nations on social media Mhmm. And that thousands would hear the Lord and hear the gospel and that I would be encouragement to them. And, like, within ninety days, I grew over a 100 k on each platform just sharing, like, Jesus. And it was like, it wasn't thousands, now millions have heard the gospel because of it.

Janice:

And it was this just small seed of things that I saw and and declared in my testimony over and over when it looked so dead, when it looked so impossible. And then Andrew was like, alright, now let's try to have kids. So that that year, we started trying to have kids, and I got pregnant. And I'm gonna be honest here, because I know there has to be at least be one other woman that's like this. So I as I was pregnant, I was really honestly only doing it because his family wouldn't stop asking me when I was having kids.

Janice:

You're like,

Carrie:

okay. We're just we're gonna do it. I'm healthy now. I can do it. Right.

Carrie:

I was like, I

Janice:

just need them. I I wasn't afraid to have kids anymore Mhmm. When it came to the physical stuff. I was still dealing with the holding back, though, a little bit. And, I was, like, trying to figure out how do I navigate this?

Janice:

Like, I haven't seen it before. And that year, the Lord, as we were trying to have kids, the Lord actually got me around these women who had, like, four each of them had four to six kids. And they were traveling in this little tent and going around the country having these women's movements. And, like, they were like all their kids were there, and they were, like, starting things and going after saving the nation and things like that. I'm like, wow.

Janice:

Where were you guys my whole life?

Carrie:

Like, never saw this example.

Janice:

Everybody else telling me I might have to put my life on, like, hold. I'm like, wow, that was a lie from the enemy. So that gave me hope. Like, I could do this. I I could be a mover and a shaker and a great mom.

Janice:

Yeah. Yeah. And so, I ended up getting pregnant, and I started struggling with that whole thought, will I love him? Will will I be able to love him? Because, like, the stuff I dealt with my mom, do I even want this?

Janice:

I remember even calling up one of my mentors, and I was like, I feel so guilty right now. I don't even know if I which I It's so crazy now that I even think it like, I don't even know if I want to do this. Like, I'm so scared. And she just said, Janice, like, it's okay. It's okay.

Janice:

You're gonna get through this. A lot of women have felt this way before. Really? I feel like a horrible person. I'm only doing this because my husband and his parents and all them want me to have a kid.

Janice:

Mhmm. And I remember, like, it was just all fear though. I remember as soon as I had saint, all of that left. And it was just like the same thing where I said, it's just like, I didn't know how good it was to be a mom. And I remember it was on the fifth day after having him.

Janice:

I went into the shower and I said, God, I was just like, he's the prayer that I was I'd never prayed because I was afraid to pray about having children, but he's the thing I wanted the most. And like the Lord showed me that verse, delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. And the Lord started showing me, guys, how much more desires that you I know you'll love that you haven't prayed for because of fear do you have? And I felt like I had all this fear in my heart of being a mom of can I take care of him? Like, will I even love him?

Janice:

It all got shattered in an instant. It just came. It came in an instant, and it was the best thing that I has ever happened to me. He gave me so much more purpose. I wanna go after the things that are in my heart, but also be so present because I've seen what that looks like now.

Janice:

Thank God. And it was so healing in my heart. Now after I had him though, just with like the unless you wanna ask a question here No.

Carrie:

No. Go for it.

Janice:

With my postpartum part, it was a struggle because, like, when my hormones hit to nothing at that fifth Oh, yeah. That's rough. I had a really rough, trauma everything that I prayed for during my for my for my delivery, the opposite happened. That's hard. It was.

Janice:

And like, I wanted to have an at home birth, couldn't because his heart rate went down. I wanted to have, at least, you know, if I had to do anything else, just do an epidural. I ended up having I think I got shot twice with the epidural. I got to 27 centimeters because his heart kept on, like, going down, down, down. And I was just like, god, why doesn't this happen?

Janice:

Like, it's 27 not 27 centimeters. Was just

Carrie:

gonna say, woah.

Janice:

That was a big hole. I was like, hey. Hi, guys. World record. World record?

Janice:

I was like, this still didn't come out? No. No. Okay. Sorry.

Janice:

What did you mean? Wow.

Carrie:

Not twenty seven seven.

Janice:

There would be a lot of sewing out now there. Be crazy. I'm like yeah. Cut. Cut.

Janice:

No. I got the nine centimeters, but twenty seven hours of labor.

Carrie:

There we go.

Janice:

There we go. Okay. And then they came in, and they freaked me out and made me feel like he was gonna not make it if I did not get a c section. Section. So I was like, I and that was the last I said, god, I'll do any I just don't want a C section.

Janice:

I don't want a C section. And if I can really honest, I think there was still the mom issues coming up because my mom had a have a C section. And I've never shared this actually out loud.

Carrie:

And I think sorry, processing.

Janice:

I think it was just I didn't it was still that last feeling that I had to overcome of because of what happened to her, I didn't wanna be anything like her Mhmm. Because she left. It was like that last straw for the motherhood thing, I think, for me. And then and I really had a grieve that, you know, I was grieving. Like, when even after, like, he they got him out of me, they're like, do you wanna hold him?

Janice:

I was just like, no. I was like, well, I was in a lot of pain too because I felt like I was in my heart when they were pressing all that stuff. Mhmm. I felt like I gonna drop him, I was just grieving. I was just weeping.

Janice:

And that was really hard, but the love did come for him. But I wasn't able to actually take care of them because after the fifth day, it's when my hormones dropped to nothing. I got numbed, I think, two or three times. And I wasn't used to all that because I did go through a lot before. And I got healed and battered, but I wasn't used to drugs like that.

Janice:

I got they put me on other drugs. I don't even know what the heck. It was so many drugs. And my body started going numb. And I started calling my doctor.

Janice:

I was like, is this normal? She goes, no. She's like, you're like the first person I ever heard with these type of

Carrie:

symptoms. Great. That's reassuring.

Janice:

I said, I have been through so much. I go, that doesn't even faze me right now. And so I just knew she didn't understand. And I just, I just didn't call her back ever again, honestly, because I knew she she wasn't gonna help after everything I've been through. And I just started crying.

Janice:

I was like because it I it would keep me up literally all night. I would only get an hour sleep. Andrew slept in a separate room during this time because I didn't want to hear get up and down, up and down. And he had a bottle feed saying, I didn't even get to breastfeed because I physically just couldn't do it. Mhmm.

Janice:

Like, was so much already I was going through. I was getting almost an hour of sleep because anytime I would start falling asleep, all those symptoms would start happening.

Carrie:

Oh my

Janice:

gosh. So it is it was horrible. It was like torture. It felt like. And I remember crying out to God, and I just said because I started doing hyperbaric auction chamber Yeah.

Janice:

Which Yeah. Did help some, but it didn't help fully. And I I remember after I got out of one of the sessions, I I just started banging my hands on the steering wheel. I said, God, I know you've healed me before of so many things. Like, I just need you to tell me what to do, and I'll do it.

Janice:

I know you're gonna do it because he gave me a promise. And I know when God gives you a promise, he will keep his word. And I just know that now because of things that I've been through and I've seen Him be faithful. And so I wrote on my phone that I heard Him say, this will pass. I didn't know when, I just knew it was.

Janice:

And Andrew told me this story that was really helpful for me. He said, because, you know, we always give a timestamp. If if this happens maybe by Christmas, maybe if I'll feel better. And then you're let down because it doesn't happen by Christmas. Mhmm.

Janice:

And so I I said, God, I'm not gonna give you a timestamp because in the story, the people where my husband was telling me about, the people who didn't make it out of prison were the ones who kept on putting time stamps. God, if you get me out of here this moment, then it'll happen. But the one person who says, God, I don't know when you're gonna get me out of this, but I know you are. He is the only one that made it out. And that was actually a true story.

Janice:

I'm not gonna go into too many details of the story, but it just made me see, like, we put time stamps on God There was hope. That if it doesn't happen by here, then it's just gonna that hope deferred starts sinking in. Mhmm. So I knew I couldn't do that because I know what that does to your body, and I know what it does to your life. So it's just like I said, okay, God, I don't know when.

Janice:

I hope it's fast, but I I don't know when. But you will. Every day I would look at this and say, told me it's gonna pass. I wouldn't even tell Andrew, he told me it was gonna pass. And so as I was at the last hyperbaric, chamber session, I remember I said, Lord, please tell me, I know it's in my mind.

Janice:

Because I knew when I got set free from fear with the Lyme stuff that I got healed. I said, I know this is a mind thing. My body, I know, is in fight or flight mode, and I need to feel safe again in my body. Please tell me how to rewire my brain. Please tell me, Lord.

Janice:

Literally, my friend called me up who I haven't talked to in, like, a month. She didn't know how I was doing. She said, Janice, she was like, you know, I was praying for you today, and the Lord told me to send you this class on how to rewire your brain in in Christ. And I was like, so this is a Christian one sent in on that new age stuff? She's like, yeah.

Janice:

It's a Christian one. This girl's been healed of all these things. I started doing this class, and I literally started, like, just, just sitting with the Lord, imagining seeing myself healed, imagine seeing myself, like, eating again because I couldn't eat. I only could only eat eggs and shakes, and that's it. And because I would have reactions to all this stuff, and I was like, god, I'm not going through this again.

Janice:

I'm not. And so I would start imagining myself eating sandwiches, and my I would say it loud, my body loves you. My body says that this is good for me, that I'm not gonna have any reactions because this is good for me. It tastes so good. It sounds so weird, but the reason why I'm acting it out right now because I feel like it's super helpful.

Janice:

Mhmm. And so I would imagine myself eating these sandwiches. I would imagine myself, like, playing with my son and being able to be present. And as I started doing these, I would take small steps of faith each day. Like, I would hang out sometimes with my friends, and it would take everything in me.

Janice:

And I would say, you're my step of faith today. Because physically, it would be really hard. And I said, if I have to go to the bathroom and cry, just know I'm gonna come out and I'll be okay. Mhmm. And they're

Carrie:

like, okay. Sure, girl.

Janice:

And so and so I just kept on not trying to isolate myself because whenever during postpartum or if you're just going through a funk in your life, I don't know how you deal with it, but I isolate. And I'm

Carrie:

trying It's so easy to do that.

Janice:

And I'm trying in this in this season, I said isolation, actually, I learned through re this whole class will actually keep you sick. Mhmm. And so I was just like, but being around people actually helps heal your body. So that really that really helped me. I'm like, this is like medicine.

Janice:

Like, I'm hanging out with people. This is like medicine. I'm declaring the word of God. And you know how sometimes when you're declaring, like, a scripture over your life and you feel like it's not working, it's not working because it didn't work, you know, the first three times. Mhmm.

Janice:

But rewiring your brain is like a repetitive thing. And that's why the Lord says renew your mind daily. Mhmm. And so there's something that happens, like, starts renewing and rewiring that bad loop in your brain where you're feeling like you're not safe or you're dealing with anxiety, you're dealing with depression, whatever it is. As you allow the word of God continuously to play over and over, and you're speaking life, like, I would ask God, what are you saying over my body?

Janice:

What are you saying over my mind? What are you saying over the situation? I would start out loud speaking it because they say to speak it out loud, not just like in your heart, but say it out loud. So out loud, I would say, oh, man, I'm playing with Saint now. And I would I would literally see myself, we're watching TV because I couldn't watch TV.

Janice:

Like, I I had weird, like Eye things? No. It wasn't the eye. It was just this weird, it made me feel weird. It was so weird.

Janice:

I couldn't even touch a soft blanket. I couldn't take hot baths. Like I had to take cold showers during this time. I couldn't go out the sun. I was having reaction to the sun.

Janice:

That's never happened to me before. I was like, what the heck? It was just so weird. I was, like, sensitive. It felt like there's so much stuff.

Janice:

And so I would just start going outside early in the morning when the sun would come out. I'd be like, son, you love me. You really love me. God made you for me, and anything that's not created in the image of Christ cannot be in me anymore. And I would just go and start doing these small steps of faith every single day.

Janice:

And then one day, I was imagining that chick or that, sandwich for a couple weeks and telling myself that it tastes so good at eating those potato chips. My friend said, I wanna take you to this new place. It's really good. She had no idea I was imagining this. I went to this place, and all you can eat was sandwich and chips.

Janice:

I was like, here we go. We're gonna test it out. Yes. We are. I did, and I had no reactions to that.

Janice:

And that was, like, my first step. Was like, okay, Jesus. Something's happening. There is a shift happening. And then one night, I I woke up, and this is where the shift completely changed.

Janice:

The Lord would have me every day. I had no idea, but you're about to find out. I had no idea why he was taking me to this sunset every single day when I was spending time with him. And he would just lay his hand on my back and just say, let it out. And I would just cry, and I would just let it out, and he would just sit there with me as I did.

Janice:

And so one night, I woke up and I started having that weird numb feeling, like the epidural where it felt like going through my legs. And I was just like, what the heck is this? Again, Lord. And I said, you know what? After months of, you know, learning how to renew my mind and and really, like, see my life different, I'm just not afraid of you anymore.

Janice:

And I remember telling my body, and I heard the Lord say, good. Tell your body that. And I was like, okay. This is weird. But body, I'm not afraid of you anymore.

Janice:

I'm not. You're I'm actually, I'm tired of you robbing my sleep. Like, I don't I don't care. Like, you're gonna leave. The Lord gave me a promise, and I'm gonna be able to fall asleep.

Janice:

And I heard the Lord say to me, He's like, now I need you to tell your body that it's coming out of fight or flight mode. Like, He was preparing me for this moment. Because I did not know any of this language beforehand. But the Lord always prepares you Mhmm. For the breakthrough and for the promise.

Janice:

And as I was sitting there, I I said, yeah, body. And I I saw I closed my eyes, and I started imagining, like, my brain was I saw, like, literally lights go throughout my whole entire body. And I said, body and I started repeating what Jesus was saying to me. You're coming out of fight or flight mode because Jesus reigns here now. Mhmm.

Janice:

And I my body started settling down the more I said that over my body. And I started falling asleep, and then almost and the Lord said to me, goes, now last thing, he goes, I need you to hold your brain. And I, like, I saw him hand me it on a platter, my brain. And so I work with animals for a living, So the Lord will always talk to you in the language you understand.

Carrie:

Yeah. That's good.

Janice:

And so I need to He goes, I need you to pet your brain like you do your dogs. And so I was like, okay, what do you want me to say? He goes, I need you to say, it's safe. God's got you. You're coming out of this.

Janice:

And so I started petting my brain as I was seeing this. I was, like, picturing this and imagining with the Lord, and all of a sudden my body went full rest. I fell asleep. I woke up, and I just fell asleep. But when I woke up, I was like, something changed.

Janice:

I know when I get set free and something changed. I went to my prayer room. I said, Lord, what is my act of faith today? What's my step of faith? Because I was asking the Lord for steps of faith each day.

Janice:

And he said, I want you to go take the hottest bath that you could take. And I was just like, okay. And, you know, I couldn't because I would have reactions. And so I went to take the hottest bath that I could, and he said, worship me. And so this is gonna sound so corny.

Janice:

So I had, my toenail polish from my baby shower. I only had one strip left. Oh, wait. You told me this. I love this.

Janice:

Sorry. Okay. Go on. And my husband said to me, please, you have ratchet toenails. Like, please paint over it.

Carrie:

Postpartum toenails. That's real.

Janice:

It was. Well, I kept it because it was my last memory when I felt normal. And so I wanted to keep it. Was because not that long ago, I was normal. And I would look at my toenail that was had one strip left.

Janice:

And, it's funny, but it was my promise. Yeah. And so and so I, I remember when I walked into the bathtub, all of a sudden, when I got in there after worshiping the Lord for like twenty minutes, it fell off. And I was like, oh no, Jesus. My last, like, little memory of normalcy.

Janice:

And he said, he's like, it's time to make new memories. And I started to cry and thank him. And then I went into my prayer chair. I said, Lord, I can't believe what you just did for me. I had no reactions, nothing.

Janice:

And he goes, ask me why I took you to the sunset every day. And so I was like, okay, why? He goes, go Google what a sunset does for your body. And so I Googled what a sunset does for your body and it it regulates your hormones. And remember when my hormones dropped to five like, or nothing on the fifth day, like, I was like, what?

Janice:

Why did you do this? And as I learned in rewiring your brain, your brain knows no different than what you imagine. So it actually believes it's doing it if you're seeing it and imagining it. Wow. And so the Lord had me there because the whole time He was balancing out my hormones, the whole time He was allowing me to share my process and my emotions and healing me.

Janice:

Even though days it looked like He was doing nothing, He was always working the whole entire time. And after that, I was completely set Let's go. And I would say, I didn't get to breastfeed or do any of those things, but I'm so thankful that I had a husband who helped me. Mhmm. And now I get to take care of Saint as much as I want.

Janice:

We watch movies. We do everything together. Everything that I imagined doing with him when I felt like I couldn't and everything in me wanted to, I can. And so it was it was a I I don't know why I had to go through all this, but I could tell you, I know I didn't go through it for nothing. Mhmm.

Janice:

And I know there's at least one woman out there that's like, that's me. Yeah. And if God could do it for me, he could do it for anybody. I'm no one special. Like, I just I I I you know, you look up to all these people and like, wow, they're so strong in ministry.

Janice:

I didn't do it perfect. It was not my perfection perfection that that healed healed me. Me. Mhmm. It was because I didn't give up.

Janice:

Faith is not a feeling. Faith is like, despite how I feel, I'm gonna choose to believe what you say, God. And I'm having a messy moment right now, and I know, God, you can handle it,

Carrie:

and you're not gonna leave me there. So good. Your story is insane and amazing. And one thing that we talked about earlier that I'm like, oh, I do wanna, like, circle back to that briefly, is when you said that the Lord told you to write out your testimony for the future. And I remember you telling me, did you say that, like, there was a time where he asked you to, like, say it in the mirror every day or to repeat it?

Janice:

Yeah. So the yeah. The I didn't share that part of the story. So, like, there was yeah. I had it he told me to share it the mirror and there's one night where I couldn't feel my legs.

Janice:

And I remember, I got up, and I was like this, I remember, in the mirror, and I was crying. And at first, I started out, and I said, God, why has everybody surpassed me? All my friends have been able to have kids. All my friends have been able to go after their dreams, and everything's been put on hold in my life. And he was like, get out your testimony.

Janice:

And I was like, ugh, I hate that testimony. I'm tired of that testimony. But you know what? Faith is not a feeling. Mhmm.

Janice:

I did it anyways. And despite how I felt, I read that testimony. I would look at myself in the the mirror with tears going down my eyes many nights and just declare it, God, you said. You said kinda like, you know, when the, the late the Shunammite lady when she lost her son and she just kept saying, it is well. It is well.

Janice:

It is well. And I just feel like the Lord did that for me even when I didn't feel like I had faith. But I had enough faith just to say, okay, I'm gonna read this anyways despite everything inside me saying I wanna tell you off or everything inside me just wanting to give up like you said. Yeah. And that promise will hold you through because Habakkuk I think I think it's Habakkuk two three where it says, write the vision down, make it plain so you can run with it.

Janice:

And then the other one that the Lord had me on is, without vision, my people perish. Mhmm. And I remember one day the Lord told me to look up that word, and perish means dying and going in an untimely way, and that not the way of the Lord. And the only thing that kept me through with my healing journey, with postpartum, was actually keeping a vision of seeing my future, the Lord, the way the Lord saw it. And I feel like a lot of people and how the enemy works, he wants you to lose your vision.

Janice:

He wants to steal your hope. He wants you to live in fear. And if he could rob and take away your hope and take away any dreams that you have for your life, then that's when fear comes in, that's when grief comes in, that's when He gets a door in your life. And in order to close that door, something that the Lord's been really teaching me is the whole faith over feeling. Mhmm.

Janice:

And despite what you see, despite what you feel, standing on the promise of God, keeping that vision in front of you. Mhmm. Even when it looks like it's gotten worse, even when it looks like, man, I don't know. I keep having all I don't know why maybe somebody's had miscarriages on here. And you're watching this like, man, am I ever gonna be able to have this next child?

Janice:

Like, keeping that vision and that promise in front of you, imagining it, seeing it, declaring it as though it's done. Even if you don't feel it, God hears it. God sees it. That is faithful, and that is a seed that can be watered. That is a seed that can grow into something beautiful, into that child maybe that you want, into the promise.

Janice:

Maybe you're struggling with depression and anxiety, and you're feeling like, man, God, like, will this ever end? Yes, I'm telling you, it is going to end. Get vision for your life again. Maybe you only have enough vision, and it's okay if your vision starts small. Mhmm.

Janice:

I I just had to start with a sandwich. I had to have vision for a sandwich. If you need to start with a sandwich or whatever your sandwich, whatever your issue that you're dealing with is, God will meet you there and he will take you there, but he's not gonna keep you there. He's gonna take you from glory to glory where you're gonna have faith to move mountains again.

Carrie:

You just preach so well. Like, I what do I even say to that? It's this is so good. I love this, and I want I want us to we can do this when we close out. I wanna pray I really wanna pray for postpartum moms and just moms that are in the first years because there is so much anxiety, there's so much loneliness, there's so much depression.

Carrie:

Some women are thriving, but a lot are not. And there's shame around that too because social media makes it seem like everybody's thriving and motherhood's completely perfect. And so when you were talking about that testimony, it just made me think there might be moms that are like, I need to know that there's gonna be a day where I feel like myself again. I need to know that there's gonna be a day where I don't feel completely alone, where I don't feel completely overwhelmed, I don't feel completely unseen. You still are such a dreamer.

Carrie:

Like, you have dreams, you have vision, you have goals, including and really, you know, so much of it is raising your son, but there's also all these other god dreams on your heart. And you can just get so into, just the blurriness of the day to day survival mode, which I feel like I mean, you're just so the person to talk about this because you didn't have six months of a struggle. You didn't which is a long time. You didn't have two years of a struggle. You had over a decade of this.

Janice:

It was, to be exact, a little over nine and a half.

Carrie:

Okay. You had a long time of walking through the survival mode of just getting to the next day. And so I just think for moms that are, you know, a few months or a year or, you know, hopefully not, but a few years into feeling like this postpartum thing is not like, I'm not enjoying this or I'm scared or I'm alone or maybe they're going through divorce, like so many things come up. So I would just really love you to, like, we'll end it by by praying for those moms. But before we do, we would just not be doing a service to the Lord if we didn't also just celebrate.

Carrie:

Like, I don't know who who you get to be now, a saint. He's so sweet. He's so precious. Like, what is life like now? And I guess, like, my question would be, after experiencing so much hard with God and walking through so much of that, what is it like and I know life's not perfect.

Carrie:

Right? Like, I get that. But what is it like to be on the other side, to feel healthy, to have energy, to love being a mom, to get to, like you said, have those moments with your son. Like, I prayed for this. So specifically, like, you feel like you appreciate it in this deeper way because of what you walked through?

Carrie:

What is it like to be in the celebration with the Lord?

Janice:

Yeah. You know, I see life completely differently because of everything that I've been through. I don't fear getting old. I see it as joy to get old

Carrie:

because I didn't I used

Janice:

to think I didn't know if I ever would. So every year is, like, the greatest thing of my life, and every day is, like, a gift from God. Like, the normal days, like, you know, I don't care about being famous anymore. Like, I really don't. Like, I used to.

Janice:

I don't care. After everything I've been through, it's just, like, I I I every just normal life is a gift. Every day, like, I'm so like, this sounds so crazy. If you've ever been through something hard and then you get your life back, you will understand this probably. But it's like normal days, like, just even when I have fights with my husband or or just chaos is, you know, happening in the house.

Janice:

Yeah. It's like I'm like, it still feels like the best day of my life, like, because it's a gift. Mhmm. And, like, every I I just feel like everyday normal things just going at Hobby Lobby. I know I said that a lot.

Janice:

I love Hobby Lobby at home in Target. We love Hobby Lobby.

Carrie:

We love Target.

Janice:

I do. I make my husband go there every week to get decor with me. But it's just like even that stuff is like the best day of my life. It's like every day is gift and just the normalcy. I know that sounds so crazy, but it's just normal everyday things like, I'll be sitting there watching TV with Saint Andrew.

Janice:

I'm like, wow, this is the best thing ever. This is the best day of my life. I really feel that way. Or we'll just be playing a game or I'm just sitting there playing with Saint. We're not really doing anything.

Janice:

I'm just feeding him because I wanted to. And you remember we were talking about with the story, it's just like, wow, I get to do this. Like, this is the best day of my life. Like, this is such a gift from God. So, like, every day feels like a gift from God for me.

Janice:

Like, even the little things that people wouldn't think of, like, when you've had those little things taken away and you get them back, it's like, this is the best day. Yeah. Even if I got in a fight with my husband, I know I'm frustrated with it right now, but it's still the best day of my life because I'd I'd rather have this than that. And what a beautiful perspective to have because, you know, so many of

Carrie:

us moms, praise God, haven't had to walk through a major health crisis or, like, something major like that. And that's why I think it's so important to hear these stories where, obviously, like, you're gonna encourage so many women that have walked through deep, dark valleys. And also, those that haven't and it's been more mundane or there's some ease. It's just like such an important reminder. And I feel like when you told me that story, felt that of like, oh, no.

Carrie:

It's a gift every day to just wake up, feed my son, go for a walk. Change those diapers. Change that poopy diaper, get a little onto your fingernail. Like, dang it. It's okay.

Carrie:

Like, it is a gift. It is a gift.

Janice:

How many people would trade positions for a day like that? Like I sit there and think about because of everything I went through even with postpartum and before that, I would have trade anything for one of those horrible days that people had.

Carrie:

I also wanna ask before we pray, you had talked about and we've talked about this off the podcast too, going from someone that had obviously fear on being a mom, which we touched on, and also just didn't know if you were gonna like it and if it was gonna hold you back. You love it so much. Could you just like speech that a little bit? There's a mom listening who's maybe pregnant, let's say she's pregnant and she's listening, she's like, I relate to Janice and I have some of these fears. Maybe they're unspoken.

Carrie:

Maybe it's something she has voiced to her husband or to a friend. Maybe it's something she's dreading. There's fear. Can you just, like, speak to that girl who has dreams and she's like, I'm scared that I have to enter into this doom bubble of just being a parent. Like, negativity is spoken over people Mhmm.

Carrie:

Speak to that that mom.

Janice:

Girl, let me tell you, that is the biggest lie from the enemy. I remember after having my son, I called up my, one of my sisters and I called her up because she's dealt with some of the same things. I said, it is a lie. It is the biggest lie from the enemy. And you know once you have your child, it like, you realize how much of a lie from the enemy that it actually really is.

Janice:

It was just all fear and lies, tormenting things that the enemy's trying to torment with you. And I would say for the whole mom thing, like, it just comes. Like, I I didn't know how because I didn't have one. It just came naturally. The Lord made me that way.

Janice:

He made you that way. When it comes to, like, thinking about holding me back, Like, look look up look up women. I got around women who were not like that, and the Lord answered my prayer. And if anything, I could be an answer to your prayer saying, wow, she did it. She got around women who actually are on fire for the Lord, going after business, going after Jesus and whatever he is that called them to do.

Janice:

If I could say anything, it makes you wanna go after it more. After having my son, it definitely cuts out the fluff of all the stuff that I'm like, oh, that's just fluff. I need to focus on the main thing Yeah. Which this is what he wants me to do. All the other stuff puts to the side.

Janice:

Like, it makes me wanna go after it even more to show him that he can go after those God dreams. And I could still be a present mom, a present wife, because the Lord will teach you how to do it individually. Every single person's different. Every single person has a different life, but He will tell you exactly how you need to do it. There's times where I have to record with my son beside me.

Janice:

There's times where I will literally have just had to learn how to navigate where he's right here, and I'm trying to work and do this stuff, and the Lord just kinda has showed me, do this while he's doing this. And the Lord just, like, works it out in my prayer time. It's so different now with the Lord. Like, I've I've I've taught him since birth, you know, like, how just to hear me pray, to read my bible. And honestly, it's so great.

Janice:

I get to raise him up the way he should go. And so I would say to the mom who's having fear about becoming a mom, it's okay. God has you. He'll get you where you need to be. You just need to just surrender your heart and let him carry you through this process, and don't be afraid.

Janice:

He'll get you through every single emotion that you have in your heart. And I would say one last thing. For the person who if you've ever dealt with, like, would I even be a good mom? I wanna say to you, like, you have the Holy Spirit who will teach you how to be the best mom. He will either send people your way to show you, or He will show you personally how to do it.

Janice:

I pray and I ask the Lord, like, Lord, how should I talk to Saint? How should I pray for Saint? How would you like me to mother? And I'm telling you, He's either sent somebody my way to show me, or he showed me exactly how to do it. Fear is just a liar.

Janice:

It's a liar. And I'm telling you when you have this child, if you're pregnant right now or you're going to have a baby or you already have a baby, maybe you're struggling. Mhmm. The Lord will show you exactly what to do. So good.

Carrie:

I also wanna shout out your social media really quickly too because if you're loving this and you're like, this girl preaches and you don't already know Janice, you don't already give her like, have a follow, you gotta you gotta follow this girl. Your page is just basically this, all the time nonstop in the most encouraging way ever. So moms, you gotta give Janice a follow. But would you pray for us?

Janice:

Would you pray for

Carrie:

the moms that are listening

Janice:

Yes.

Carrie:

To just kinda close us out? Yeah. Is there anything else you wanna say too that it was left unsaid? Mean, I you just did such an incredible job and your story's amazing.

Janice:

I wanna pray because I was seeing something. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pray.

Janice:

I I just kept seeing that there was people that maybe have been dealing with fear and hopelessness, and you've been feeling like maybe like, will this ever end or will this ever happen? Will I ever get set free? And I'm here to tell you, you are right now. And I just believe the anointing that breaks the yoke, which is Jesus, is right here through this camera. He's touched me many times through a camera, and he could touch you where you're at, whether you're in a car, whether you're holding your baby right now.

Janice:

Like, God wants to touch you right now, so I'm just gonna pray over you. Holy Spirit, I just release your presence over the woman that's watching. And I feel like, there's been a lot of fear. I heard before I came here, fear and afraid, and the enemy's been trying to torment you. But Lord, I just break off right now any assignment that the enemy's try to come and bring any fear or tormenting spirit that's try to come and steal and rob being present in the moment.

Janice:

Mhmm. Being present as a mom, being present as a wife, or and even in relationships and friendships, it's like having to hold it all together. Let Jesus hold you. We just let you Jesus the deliverer right now just to go to that woman that's watching right now and just go to every single emotion. Anywhere where the enemies try to come through depression, anxiety.

Janice:

Lord, we just bind in the name of Jesus. And I just declare healing. Healing over your heart, that you're not gonna be forgotten, that you're not lost, that you're not too far gone, that the Lord has you. He can handle this. Lord, I just break off any pressure where the enemy would try to make you perform, where you're like, man, all these other moms are right here, and I'm not.

Janice:

Lord, I just bind that comparison in Jesus' name, and I say, you are enough right now. The Lord loves you even in your mess. He says he's not gonna leave you in this mess. You are not gonna stay here, but he's making a way out for you. I just thank you.

Janice:

I hear the this verse that says, for I know the plans that I have for you, not to harm you, but to give you hope and a future and an expected end. And, God, I just bless this postpartum time. I just say right now, even if you've already had, like, a couple years, maybe it's been two or three years, Lord, I just thank you, Lord. I just bless even those times where the enemy has tried to come and distill during the hormones where it's like you're really hormonal. Everything's everywhere.

Janice:

I just speak to the hormones. I call you back in alignment in Jesus' name. Anywhere where your bodies came out of alignment right now, I call you in alignment. Anywhere where the enemies try to steal and rob your joy, I just release the joy of the Lord, which your is your strength. I release that joy unspeakable that will not go away.

Janice:

And anywhere where you felt like you've been afraid, I bind fear. God's perfect love casts out fear. And I just release right now just a fresh refueling in your heart, even in your time with the Lord, that the Lord teaches you how to spend time with him in his presence even having kids. God, thank you, Lord, that even if it's five minutes, that five minutes will feel like five hours, Lord, that you can do more in five minutes than what they can do when they're your own. God, I thank you, Spirit, God, that just for a revival in their secret place with Jesus that overflows into their motherhood, that overflows into their parents, God, that overflows, God, into their marriage, God, in their everyday lives, that, Lord, that what they had before is gonna be greater as a mom.

Janice:

God, I just thank you, Lord, that you're not gonna leave them there. They're not gonna be forgotten. Their life's not gonna be put on hold, but, God, they're gonna go from glory to glory. God, thank you, Lord, for expectation, that their expectations will be high, that you have a good plan for them, that they start being able to vision and envision themselves seeing their future, that it is blessed, that, Lord, you have a mighty plan for them and their children, God, and for their marriage, Lord. Anywhere where the enemies even try to come and create a wedge in your marriage, Lord, Any division, we just bind in Jesus' name.

Janice:

God, I thank you, Lord, for the mom who's also been grieving because of how maybe their delivery went and postpartum went. Will you heal that place, Jesus? Will you heal all the trauma that came through that, God, every letdown, every hurt, every pain, God, anything that's been lingering around trying to torment them. Jesus, deliverer, the lover, we just let you go into every place that that has to come off of them in this season. We just repent.

Janice:

I don't know. I'm hearing the word repent just, Lord, I just repent for allowing any fear, anxiety, and depression that's trying to come in and rob my joy in this moment. I just repent, and I just receive your forgiveness for just sucking any of that in. That was never meant for me. That was never meant for me.

Janice:

I just release that back to you, Jesus. I let you, Jesus, the healer, the deliverer, just to come into my heart right now into every place that you walk through every wall in my heart, and you bring joy again. You bring peace again. You bring hope again. You bring dreams fulfilled again.

Janice:

And if I don't know how to dream, God, I thank you, Lord, that you're gonna show them how to dream in the midst of it all. God, I just thank you, Lord, for hope to be released right now into every single woman that's watching this, that, God, I thank you, Lord, that healing is taking place right now in your mind, in your body, in every single way where the enemies try to stop. And, God, even if you haven't been able to be able to breastfeed like me, I just break off any shame that's trying to come against that. We bind that. You are doing your best, and daddy, God is proud of you.

Janice:

And, God, I just thank any fear wrapped around, well, they didn't get the nutrients. They didn't get this. The Lord has your child. He's the Lord. She's the Lord.

Janice:

He has them, and he has you. And I bless them. I bless them, God, in these next days to come, years to come, that, God, you bring so much healing, so much purpose in being a mom and the dreams that you put inside of them as moms. God, I just thank you for that. I thank you, Lord, right now that where they felt like they were in a pit, that you're bringing them out and that heaviness is coming off of you now because this is a season of new beginnings, fresh start, new beginnings.

Janice:

All things have been made new. I just release that over you. Hopelessness is leaving you now in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen.

Janice:

Let's go.

Carrie:

Thank you so much for being on.

Janice:

Thank you.

Carrie:

We're so blessed. We're all so blessed. So listeners, I know we're gonna feel the same way.

Janice:

It's just amazing.

Carrie:

Thank you for sharing your story, Janice.

Janice:

Thank you for letting me be here. Absolutely. But just such as one life, it's worth it.

Carrie:

Amen. Amen to that. It will.

Janice:

Yeah. It will.
