Tales of the Broken Realms

Tales of the Broken Realm: The Scorched Codex and the Spire of the First Flame

Adam introduces a shared-world D&D project where multiple dungeon masters run one-shots in the same realm, then DMs Grace Henman, Kaleb McGuire, Skyy Bunny, and Sam Limon introduce themselves. In Opal Keep, a city under Malakar surveillance amid rebellion, Henry Croft (tiefling warlock), Sham (kobold alchemist), Celine Duskbain (human in noble plate with divine visions), and Zeb (warforged sorcerer) are summoned to the Flaming Chapel to meet exiled scholar Professor Eli Thorn. Thorn recruits them to find the first ring of the Cipher of the First Flame by stealing a scorched codex page from the guarded Library of Malakar (formerly Eldrich Record), and gives Henry a Sun Cipher orb tied to Empress Ceridil. Disguised, the party infiltrates via sewers, solves a celestial door puzzle, survives traps, and retrieves a riddle page pointing to Glom Lock. Traveling there, they enter a collapsing spire archive, use a divine recollection scroll, unlock a seal with Ceridil’s name, earn a location scroll from the Words Keeper, and escape as the spire collapses, then follow a hidden map toward Mount Hahrathen and descend into an aurora-lit cavern with nine celestial statues.

What is Tales of the Broken Realms?

Welcome to Tales of the Broken Realm, A multistory episodic Dungeons and Dragons Campaign. Where the Dungeon Master is changing once their story has been told, all within the same world. Sit back and enjoy this adventure.

Well met adventurers from
the boys who provide endless

entertainment at the tavern.

I'm Adam.

A shared world of fractured
land, one overarching story

told through multiple one shots.

In this project, each dungeon
master will take a turn behind the

screen running their own one shot,
all set within the same realm.

Before we dive in, we want to give
each of our Dungeon Masters for this

season a moment to introduce themselves.

Let's start introductions.

Hello.

I am Grace Heman, and you can find
me on TikTok and Instagram at Grace.

The Magic Chicken.

Hi everybody.

I'm Kaleb McGuire and you can
find me on all social media

platforms at Multiverse of Nerd.

I am Sky Bunny and you can find
me everywhere at Sky Bunny, TTV.

Hey everyone.

My name's Sam.

I run the Wisdom Save podcast
over on YouTube and TikTok.

Welcome to Tales of the Broken Realm.

Adam: The party begins in Opal.

Keep at the edge of a rebellion and
paranoia, you are contacted discreetly

by an exiled scholar of the old Gods who
believes he is located the first step in

defining the cipher of the first flame.

A mythical divine artifact that can
commune with or locate a hidden deity.

But they're not the only ones
seeking the veiled cipher.

Malakar agents are afoot
and they are watching.

The streets are polished obsidian
reflecting the lavender blossoms

that grow from rooftop gardens.

The massive citadel looms at the
city's core, repurposed by mala car's

deviance into a center of surveillance.

Magical sentinels, animated
gargo with arcane eyes.

Our humming crystal arrays down
below, watching or rebellion as

underneath in the underground
rebellion may simmer throughout.

As we'll introduce Zach's character first.

A Henry Croft walked into a empty,
flaming chapel, is what it's called,

and sits down on the front on the front
pediment, where a smaller half elf of

some sort with spectacles on his eyes.

And a hunched over hood is
sitting on the altar which you

reverently assume he is praying.

Henry, if you want to go
ahead and introduce your

character, that would be great.

Zac : Yeah.

Henry Croft is a Warlock Tling
adventurer nonetheless, and he

actually which you'll find out later,
he came into his Warlock powers,

not by a pact ma, out of necessity,
but a pact made out of an accident.

And from what he knows, he
thinks this cipher could

possibly get him out of set pact.

That's pretty much it.

He's not too fleshed out right
now, but he, what's he by?

He's, you said he's by a

Adam: You're sitting on a church pew,
essentially inside the Flaming Chapel.

Okay.

And out, basically in front of you as a
cloaked figure all you can make out is his

small spectacles and he's quietly praying.

You could only make out just a hush,
a hushed tone underneath his breath.

Caleb, did you send me
your character, by the way?

Kaleb: Ooh, that I did not, but I can.

Adam: Okay.

I was looking for it.

Kaleb: Yeah, no, you saw that was my bad.

Adam: Anyways out of the corner of
your eye, Henry you notice a almost

like a claw click clack happening
down the aisle, and it's just and it

stops about three rows back from you.

And you slightly turn your head
and all you can make out is is what

looks to be a reptile of some sort.

And you eventually turn around and you
look and you get a full look of a red

cobalt sitting in the third pew behind.

Okay.

Sam, would you like to
introduce your Cobalt?

Yes.

So he, his name is sham with two m.

He's just a little
artificial cobalt alchemist.

He learned his craft up
in the dwarven mines.

He was a loyal like indentured servant of
one of the noble dwarves people up there.

So he's down here just on trying to
get a better understanding of why

the gods have left, because it's
ruined a lot of his normal day to

day life and the life of his family.

Awesome.

So the cobalt takes his
place on the third pew.

You the cloaked figure in front of y'all
y'all see he hasn't really moved much.

And y'all are in a empty rundown.

Basically chapel is what
you should think of it as.

It's not like a huge church or anything.

It's often to the outskirts of Opal ke
and maybe three or four minutes passed by.

And as as Henry, you feel like you are
getting agitated of why you're here.

You, nothing's happened.

You've just gotten a note that says,
if you seek what is desired for you,

come see at this time you realize that
this COBOL isn't what you're here for.

You start to get up Henry.

And as Henry gets up and turns and looks
in the entryway of the little chapel you

see a female figure with bright blue hair
standing in the middle of the chapel.

It's almost like she's
almost divine in some way.

Just because of the way the
light is casting behind the

chapel itself on this female.

And you are taken back a little
bit and oh, is this is this a

dev divine being from above?

Is this who I'm supposed to see?

And as she takes a couple steps
forward, you realize that she, like

you, has been summoned here as well.

Skye, go ahead and
introduce Celine for us.

Sky: Yeah, so her name
is Celine Dusk Bain.

She's a six foot tall human woman.

She wears weathered plate armor
with a faded crest of a noble house.

She does have this divine look about her.

It's moonlight esque.

And yeah, she just goes and sits down.

Adam: Awesome.

And she she takes her place on the
on the first row, on the very front.

And Henry, you start to notice
that they all were given like,

specific directions that they have
to sit on this pew at this time.

At this moment do you want to say
anything or are you just waiting

and seeing what's happening?

Zac : Yeah, no I definitely think
Henry's gonna say something.

So Henry he's pretty noticeable.

He is got very large horns.

He's a dark blue t fling long
hair, a white strand in one

of the parts of his hair.

He's gonna stand up and he goes let me
just let me, lemme get this straight.

We're all here for the same thing, right?

I don't, this man right here,
he's been praying or something.

I look, I'm just trying to figure out
what the hell we're all doing here.

'cause that's not normal and he kind
of points towards the cobalt so yeah.

What, what's going on?

Sam: Yeah.

Yeah.

Sham.

Doesn't

know Shams here for just
to figure it out and Yeah.

Zac : Yeah.

Okay.

Alright, sham, so you
got brought here too.

What's, did you get a note?

Sam: Yes.

Yes.

Sam.

Sam got a note.

Okay.

He's gonna pull 'em out of his sag, pull
out this note That looks like it, it once

was in intact and looks like it now has
burn marks and like acid splashes on you.

It, Tim made ouchie.

It's fine though.

Adam: Celine, you you
didn't receive a note.

You were getting visions of a place
and time and it's almost like it comes

and goes as whispers of the divine
come through your ear a little bit.

So the divine spoke to you and
said, meets at the flaming chapel.

At noon.

So that's what you could say you got a
note if you would like, if you would,

if you want to entertain that you are
divine in, in nature, you certainly can,

that it's up to your prerogative on that.

Sky: I did not receive no note.

See I'm blessed by the God, so
I was just told to come here.

I'm sorry you all needed
a note to be here.

Zac : That's a little
condescending, but okay.

What were you gonna say, Sam?

Sam: You best, you, best
you blessed by the guts.

Yes.

Special.

Adam: Thank you.

A as y'all are discussing
this you hear a very like.

Like faint metallic, like clink
clinks happening in the background.

And you're just you're just not sure.

It doesn't seem like it's a normal like
clock mechanism or anything like that.

You definitely hear it's metallic
hitting on metal back and forth.

And out of the out of the corner of the
chapel there's a side door there and not

even, busting, like opening up the door.

It just busts through, slams open.

And in front of you is just this
metallo of a human that you can

describe as that needs a little bit
more oil than actual food in his palate.

And he, for whatever reason, he
seems to be huffing and puffing

that he's fixing to miss something.

And Caleb, go ahead and
introduce your War Forge.

Kaleb: You guys see standing
before you Z eight B dash 1 0

1, affectionately known as Zeb.

He is a war forge sourcer came
from a guild Maran, who was

originally created to, assist in
any kind of like manufacturing.

And through.

A rather mysterious accident
was infused with some pretty

unstable arcana or arcane power.

And so he being one of the only
survivors of this accident has

made it his mission to figure
out why this has happened to him.

He is a little awkward is slowly picking
up the more what he calls bionic or bi

biological affectations of the denizens
of this world that he interacts with.

And as an you see him yes, he
walks through the door and you

see him go, oh my, my apologies.

I I will definitely be fixing that.

Greetings.

I was told to meet at the tavern.

I am Z eight B dash one zero
one, but you may call me zb.

Sam: I think shams eyes
started kinda dilate.

'cause he sees like machinery and
it's can he take this goggles?

He goes, do it and zoom
in like telescopes.

He goes oh, my kinda runs over.

Oh.

And he goes kinda staring at
you, like inspecting and looking

over the clockworks of the war.

Forged,

Kaleb: Zeeb looked down and goes,
you are by far the smallest of

all the biological inhabitants
I have dealt with in this city.

Sam: Thank you.

Kaleb: I was sent a communication and
he like taps little section on his chest

and a little compartment opens up and
he pulls out a like pristine letter on

Parchman and says, I was told to meet.

I will admit this is the most
unorthodox communication.

And then he just puts it back and says,
but I will not be said that Zeeb is late.

Sam: Shamp pulls out his,
and he goes, I got one too.

And it's the same, like totally
destroyed, half destroyed parchment.

Kaleb: Alright, Zeeb looks down and
goes, this will need to be rectified.

Adam: Each note says that you are
supposed to meet Professor Eli Thorn.

Y'all don't know him by any backstories
or anything like that, but Professor Elic

Thorn is who the note is described to.

And at the moment that the war
forges comes in the cloaked figure

turns around and looks at you.

You all, and he unc cloaks himself
and you standing before you, you see a

hunched half elf man in his late sixties.

He's wearing robes that are no longer
cloaked, stitched with celestial

symbols along the outside of the
stitchings of your collars and

the ends of the robes themselves.

You'd realize that celestial
writings have been outlawed in

Opal Keap for quite some time.

And one eye you notice doesn't necessarily
move with the rest of his eyes, period,

like in the same using the same eye.

So basically he's looking over at
you like as a chameleon almost, but

you notice that he has a bronze eye
in one and a regular eye in another.

And as you look a little deeper into
his robes, you notice that the celestial

writing actually changes through, it's
like a swift written letter, and it

magically filters and changes through he
he pushes up his glasses that he has and

he goes it's a pleasure to meet you all.

Zac : I'm gonna presume you're Mr.

Thorn.

Adam: Y Yes, I'm professor Thorn,
the high archivist of the order.

Zac : Okay, so you brought
us here for what exactly?

Quite a circus.

Adam: I brought you here all together
because you guys possessed the skills

needed to acquire something of the divine.

Zac : Look man, the divine hasn't
been here in quite some time.

I don't know if you've been reading
the news lately, but we got a little

bit of a civil war on our hands
'cause our gods decided to abandon us.

Adam: Oh no.

The gods did not abandon.

They are only hidden where you cannot see,

Sam: but where you can't see.

Sounds good.

See, means, means, means.

Abandoned.

Means not there.

Abandoned not there.

Hidden.

Not there.

Both.

Not there.

Kaleb: I would agree.

Scientific definition hidden.

Not see it.

Adam: You have to have faith in the
gods and they shall appear to you.

However, we need the artifact, the first
ring of the cipher, and it is up to you

guys to decide and how to obtain it.

I have some info I can give
you, but no further than that.

Then I can take you long ago,
the order of themselves, of

the divine.

I was the high archivist at the
time and the rest of my kind.

They decided to go against
the gods in fear of Malachi.

But the cipher of the first
flame was always talked about.

It was not just a myth, it was
the last language written by

the gods before they faded.

And I think we can still read it if
we can find what's left of the ink.

Zac : All right, so where
the hell is the thing?

Adam: You see the myth itself
was talking about keys and

needing keys to go through to

access something that is
not, what did they say it?

It was.

It was not with heat or without flame, but
they called the cipher the first flame.

So somewhere where there is a
flame, but it's not a flame of fire.

A flame of some kind of other

desire of some

sort.

The rest of the ARCA car didn't believe
us when the first records of the

Cipher of Hiss existence was in temples
brought down by mal car years prior.

But the myth itself has been lost.

The only known records of it are to be

somewhere where we have to
find the first let me the first

codex of the page to show us

where the flame could be hidden

okay.

All right.

So yeah, he basically explains
to you that he knows that they're

of the myth of decipher and he
believes that it exists out there.

He is, he also knows that he
believes that the, there is an extra

requirement to get to the first flame.

And you need to find
the scorched codex page.

Okay.

Okay.

Sam: So find page, find paper.

I

Sky: don't think we should
trust you with paper.

No offense.

Sam: What do you mean?

Kaleb: I would second that I

Sky: like paper.

Kaleb: I

Sky: like

Kaleb: Paper's.

Useful

Zac : paper burn.

Yeah.

But your paper's already scorched.

I don't think we need this happening

Sam: this bad.

You should see my notes.

Adam: That would be wise not
to let the cobalt have this

celestial paper as I see in his

hands.

The crumpled note that I left him long
ago is at least he still retained some

kind of knowledge to meet us here.

Sometimes I wonder how he even
got here in the first place.

Him

too.

They say the first the first
scorched page in Celestial can be,

Found at the library of the Elger record.

But that is long kept
guarded by Malakar defense.

But they say that once you find
the codex, it will reveal the

next place to find the first fle.

Zac : All right.

Kaleb: So do we know
where this is kept at?

Adam: Yeah.

So if y'all want to roll an
investigation for me, yes.

I can let you know.

Where is, what was the library of Elrich?

Eldrich record?

19.

Got eight.

14.

Sky: That's a zero

Adam: damn.

I was so starting off.

Strong starting.

Woo.

Alright.

Who rolled the 19?

I was a kid.

Okay.

Y'all would know that the library has now
been in possession of mala car's deviance

for quite some time, and it is guarded.

, The library was no longer called the
Library of El Elrich record anymore.

This library is now called
the Library of Malachi.

And it has been etched out in front of it.

, And you do know that this, at this point
in time, back in its history, it was

Opal Keeps Library that kept all of its
records on the meetings at the halls,

with the gods, as well as its, function
functionality of the government's records.

Basically like a National Archives.

But now you have heard that there has
been, burning of the archives and the

library is almost in disarray at this
point in some parts of it because it has

been burned, by the deviance themselves,
trying to erase history essentially.

But you do know where it is.

You do know where it was located before,

Zac : which is,

Adam: It is just north of the chapel
about I would say probably about four or

five miles away from, the city center.

Zac : Alright.

So I think before we, we gather
up, I think Henry's gonna

look at professor Thornton.

He is going to, he's gonna
say, so what's in this for you?

Why'd you call us here?

Adam: Nothing is in it for me.

I don't know why I gave it
this voice, but it's gonna go.

Wait, I went into my Roz voice.

Zach, I'm sorry.

Yeah.

I do not know why I do, I cannot
pay you in gold or riches.

However, I do not push the
means to bring balance to the

gods, but I do believe in them.

And I believe that sdel is the first
God that needs to be contacted.

And if I could help in any way provide for
the first to believe in the myth of the

cipher, that is the first step y'all need
in order to defeat Mala car themselves.

The only thing artifact I
could give you for you is if

I can get to my notes on this.

The only thing I can give you once you
find this, the, it is so much easier

to have Amsel suite for me right now.

Kaleb: And he's saying
all of this in character.

He's just saying, if I can
get my notes on this in front,

Zac : dammit, if I could get my notes,

Sam: massive smell book.

He's trying to flip through.

Adam: I have, so I have
something in my pocket.

So gimme one second.

I'm searching around in my pocket.

He he pulls out like some, like he holds,
he opens up his cloak a little bit.

He's I could

sell you some watches right now.

Would you like some watches?

His his pockets are definitely
bigger on the inside and

he's has his arm down there.

Like Mary Poppin style?

Yeah.

Yeah.

He's doing

Zac : the resin evil for merchant.

He's pulling the trench coat
open, what are you buying?

Adam: Whatever you need.

I have it.

Here it is.

Here it is a feeling.

And it looks like a wind fireball.

He pulls it out and he's here it is.

And it is a orb.

And inside the orb, y'all look at
it and you can see the what looks

to be a, almost looks to be like a
galaxy with a sun in the center of

it and things spinning around it.

And he hands it to Henry and says this
was left to be by the elder archivist

on his last dying breath, refusing
to be a part of Mala car's agents.

He's told me this is the what
lies in Cedar Dale's heart.

And this is the sun cipher.

And he hands it over to you.

Zac : And I take it and I go,
alright, who's, so it's called the,

Adam: it's called the sun Cipher.

Zac : Okay.

So Henry's gonna say,

Henry's gonna look at
him and goes, who's sir?

Deal again, remind me.

Adam: All right.

Y'all can roll the religion check Yeah.

To know who IL is, or if
anyone knows who IL is.

Zac : I do.

Anyone knows who I'm curious.

Kaleb: I got a 13 robot man
knows nothing of your, that's

Sky: a NA 20.

Kaleb: Let go.

First two roll.

So

Zac : I'll let Adam say this real
quick and then I'm gonna, I'll

chime in if I need to, but go ahead.

Adam: Alright, so with your God, you
know that Del is a god of the flame

and a, the goddess of the hearth,
but she is the god of the flame.

And she do you know
that she doesn't speak?

Basically in history, that she was not
one of the like, major players, but

she was the eternal flame that was in
the center of the halls themselves.

And she when the gods were
killed by Malakar, the flame

itself in the halls went out, and
therefore Dale has disappeared.

Zac : Okay,

Adam: cool.

Good?

Zac : Yeah.

Okay, cool.

Adam: Okay.

So he hands you that over.

And he goes, be very careful.

Agents are around at all
corners of Opal Keep.

This is his main power.

So he knows all, he knows who's walking.

He knows everything.

But I would come up with a plan
to somehow get out of this chapel.

And we shall go from there, as he says.

And he turns back around and he cloaks
back up, and he walks out the side

entrance that, that Zeeb walked through
earlier and he looked back at Za.

He goes, mighty strong.

Are you in the ways of the medal?

Kaleb: He kinda knocks on his, I
chose correctly, you could say.

Adam: And he looks through the rest
of you and goes, I hope I chose

correctly for you guys on this mission.

May the Gods be in your favor.

And he walks out and he hood cloaks
back over and he walks out to the

side street of the Flaming Chapel.

Zac : I think Henry's gonna look
at everybody and goes I definitely

don't fucking trust that guy.

But he's weird.

Yeah.

Yeah, I agree.

Kaleb: High probability.

He was lying.

Yep.

Sam: His paper looks strange.

Y'all could always roll it inside.

Zac : Yeah, I think I am gonna roll.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Even the robot didn't trust him.

That's what's got

robot

Zac : 19.

I got a Nat 20 minus one.

Oh damn.

17 that

Adam: hurt.

1517.

Y'all get y'all get the gist
that he was he was telling

the truth for the most part.

Y'all get the gist of that.

He was, y'all were weirded out.

Y'all are justified of being weirded out.

But y'all can trust what's been said.

That he believes he, that Professor
Thorn believes in What he's saying is

what I, what the way that should work.

Zac : Okay.

All right.

We definitely need to go as a party.

Unless anyone wants to contest
this, we definitely need to go

find the Codex, which is supposed
to be north general North.

I guess that's five miles.

The library.

Yeah.

The li the Eldridge Library.

Library at Mall Car now.

Do, yeah.

I think that's gonna be the best
bet Now I think Henry's gonna

look around and he goes, look I
don't know what's in it for y'all.

Apparently this is done through Goodwill,
but I got some and he's gonna, before

he's gonna stop mid sense and he is
gonna clutch this amulet around his neck

and he's gonna grab it and look down
and he is gonna look back up and say

I got some business I gotta attend to
and see if I can solve some problems.

Kaleb: I'm just like awkwardly shifts
and goes, I will full transparency.

I am mostly in it to fight deviance.

They are the reason for me.

And suffice it to say I
have a score two set hole.

Very nice.

Respect robot.

Adam: Respect.

Kaleb: Respect.

Respect.

That just looks like you.

Oh, kidding.

Test taps,

Adam: thorn comes back in respect.

Walks back out.

You see him in the

Zac : corner and just throws a peace sign.

Okay.

Yeah, I think we're gonna all head
north if everybody's down for that.

Does anybody want to Okay.

Look around.

Anything before we get going?

Sky: Oh, before we go.

I am going to, hold on.

Where's it at?

I am going to as an action, give
you all 300 feet of dark vision.

Okay.

With my eyes of the night.

Zac : That's awesome.

How long does that

last?

Sky: An hour.

Zac : Oh yeah.

That's plenty

Sky: of time.

Whew.

Yeah.

Listen, I saw that I was a human
and then I was like, I need twilight

cleric for that 300 dark vision.

There

Zac : you go.

Yep.

There you go.

Yep.

Nice.

Sam: I think before we step out of
this temple Sam's just going to, I.

Cast the, this guy self on him and
he is gonna appear as a little dwarf.

He's a little bit self-conscious
about walking around as a cobal.

Zac : Yeah.

In

Adam: this part of town.

A monster esque, race that's not
typically well, regarded in most places.

Zac : Nice.

I'm gonna do that as well 'cause I've
got that as an Eldridge invocation.

I'm going to shape change because I know
Thorne had said we don't need to be seen.

'cause mall car's got deviance everywhere.

So I'm actually going to
d let me ask you this.

I'm gonna ask d this, Adam, do
I know what a, like a normal

agent of Mala car looks like?

Adam: Yeah.

I would say that they all wear
a like I would say a they wear a

blue sash over their gray robes.

Zac : Okay.

So I'm gonna disguise myself
as an agent of Mala car.

Kaleb: Okay.

Question for Zeb are like machine
men or like war forged, I guess

whatever they would be called in
this world, are they pretty common?

Would the deviance use them
in any way, shape, or fashion?

Adam: Yeah, you do know that they
use the war Forge where you're from.

They use, them for their own, , they
almost have a spell over them where they

can control them to do the menial tasks of
the agents themselves to churn out more.

Armories robes, you're like
doing the menial test of world.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Exactly what zab

was made for originally.

There's just like menial, like
construction, like artisan.

Yep.

Like manufacturing.

Okay, cool.

Adam: But now you're just, now you're

working for now you're
work, working for them.

Kaleb: Cool.

Cool.

ZZ turns to Henry and goes, if you are
disguising yourself as a deviant and

like chokes a little bit, he goes, I
feel it would be tactically wise, I

disguise myself as a worker of yours.

Zac : Yeah.

I think that's a good idea.

I've got you under my reigns.

I see what you're saying there.

10 man.

I like it.

Kaleb: I 10 man.

I am not made of 10, but I
will accept your compliment.

Sam: Sha Shame understands that reference.

Adam: All

Zac : right.

So we, we have

Adam: Wizard of Oz in our world.

Zac : Okay.

Adam: You already have Wizard of Oz.

Alright,

Zac : I was going Creature
commandos, so I was going a

little bit different with that.

Everyone 10.

Cheers for the Tin Man.

Alright, so who else has disguise self?

Remind me.

Was it,

Adam: I did.

Zach you're not in the picture by the way.

Zac : God bless.

This camera is killing me.

All right.

Sorry guys.

Okay, so we've got Sham and
Me Self sky, remind me your

character's name real quick.

Sky: Celine.

Adam: Celine.

Celine.

Okay.

Celine, Sam, z and Henry.

Okay.

Zac : All right, so I guess
we'll start heading that way and

I'm gonna turn sky's character.

I'm gonna say, so what
are you just gonna follow?

What, how are you blending in?

You wanna be a prisoner?

We could act like you're, like you
in the door for prisoners and me and

the robot man are take in this way.

That seems non conspicuous, right?

Sky: You know where I'm from, we're
neutral and all this, so Yeah.

You've captured me prisoner.

I worship all the things and.

That works for me.

Whatever.

I'm in it.

Adam: You hate me.

I'm into it.

You hate

I be you're not worshiping
other than mal car.

Okay.

Zac : Alright.

So Zeeb and I are going to basically
escort the DF and the human correct.

Was that correct on your cla Okay.

Doin human out the door and kind
of head off in that direction.

Hoping that doesn't draw much attention.

'cause mal car would be rounding
up people he don't like anyway, so

this is a normal day in the life.

It's all right.

God, himself is in and out.

God's reception's bad.

Yeah, reception's bad.

He's running on, I'm on wifi.

I

Adam: don't understand.

I'm on wifi.

You got that?

You

Zac : got that straight talk.

We pretty much

Adam: roll.

Roll me a roll me a stealth check please.

Zac : Who

Adam: or just who.

Y'all are in group 21.

Let's

Zac : go.

Adam: Y'all each roll individually.

See if get spot.

I a apologize

Sky: with my plate meal.

No.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Hey friends.

I got a six.

Sam: Yeah, I got a 5, 4, 4

Zac : plus two got six,
six and a five and a 21.

So I'm the only one selling this, right?

Adam: Roll.

Roll me a roll me as well.

A performance and a perception.

Kaleb: Oh no.

Zac : 10 for performance.

And,

Adam: Do I have anything
that can, 15 for perception,

Sky: guys I'm so sorry.

That's one for performance
and two for perception.

Kaleb: I got a 12 for performance
and I got a dirty 20 for my, my

we like a dirty

little 20.

Sam: Okay.

Okay.

My, my performance ooh, is a 19 minus one.

18 performance.

Oh God, gosh.

There we go.

And my perception is a plus one.

That's gonna be a four.

Sky: We're doing great guys.

Zac : All right, Zach, that is not, I got
10 for performance, 15 for perception.

Adam: All right.

All right.

So y'all are walking the streets and y'all
believe that y'all are selling it like,

like Henry's like shouting to the streets,
like down with the gods and like mall car.

Like he's looking down the street of Opal
Kee and there's a guy selling I Love mall

Car T-shirts off to the left, I remember.

And he picks one up and he's pops him a,
a silver piece to him is like, it puts

it on and he is like praying around.

The rest of y'all think you're
doing a great job behind all of

that as a wonderful performance.

Zeeb out of the corner of your eye, you
notice that down one of the streets as you

keep going down to the scholars district
where the library is at every time you go

look to your right down an alley street
way you see maybe one Mallari agent, and

then the next time you see another like
double and you're like, wait a minute.

And then you get to the third one
and you notice that they're coming

instead of walking parallel to you.

They're diagonal now walking this
way and there's about seven of 'em.

And and you like, yeah so you
could quickly walk up to Henry and

Henry's spouting about Mal car and
how great Mal car is and continue.

Kaleb: He taps on Henry's shoulder
and goes and it's just as quiet as he

physically can, which is not very quiet.

Henry maybe it is not the best op idea to
loudly proclaim your love of Mal La car.

I'm gonna, we have some
unwanted attention.

Zac : I wanna be can I like see these
unwanted guests that are obviously Yeah.

Now that he's

Adam: pointed it out, you look and
you look and see there's four of them,

like really close and like another
three, like trailing behind down a

side street to connect with y'all

Zac : And I mean they're like
coming towards us, right?

Adam: Yeah.

Uhhuh.

Okay.

Zac : They're like within
shouting distance I guess.

Adam: Yeah.

At this point the three of them yes.

Are,

Zac : okay,

I'm gonna turn to the Zap and I'm gonna
be like, don't worry partner watch this.

And then I think Henry is going to
look at the agents of mall car and

he's gonna be like down with the Gorge
Roy Brothers and he's gonna raise his

fist and sees if he can garner their.

Approval, and so swayed him
off of this weird fucking party

that's going on behind him,

Adam: okay.

Go ahead and enroll me a
persuasion check please.

Kaleb: And I give him the help action by
also attempting to like, do so I don't

think the help action go with that face.

Oh no.

Oh no.

Sky: That's a nat one.

We're doing great people.

Sam: I should have been
a divination wizard.

Sky: Wizard.

Sam: Dang.

Okay.

Let's be fun.

It's be fun.

Alright.

Adam: Role initiate.

The first one's holds up a fist.

You go Praise mal car.

Who are you?

Zac : I am I'm a new deviant.

I'm sorry.

I got a little, I got
a little excited there.

All right.

So I'm just trying to Yeah.

But

Adam: And he starts going he starts
listing off like like he starts

going blue, Jay, tango, echo, Romeo.

Zac : Gamma Bravo.

Okay, echo

Adam: roll, roll, roll,
roll for me on that one.

Zac : What am I rolling?

Just the fucking straight.

What, what's being rolling there?

Adam: You're good.

We're gonna roll investigation there.

Zac : Oh God.

Help me.

It's a 10.

Adam: That was last week's code.

What is this?

Week's

Zac : code?

Oh sorry.

Hold up.

So something is happening
and he's gonna hold his ear,

like he's got an earpiece in.

He's, I say I've, I'm so sorry.

I gotta go orders from the high up.

Come on.

Move you vermin.

And he's gonna he's just going.

What

Adam: the rest of y'all
doing at this point?

Y'all?

All I wanna, I would love to make an
investigation check on the the passcode.

See if I can see if I can
decipher some kind of pattern.

Kaleb: Sure.

Zac : Go

Adam: ahead.

Kaleb: I would also like to roll that
as well, just in case there's something

Sam: that's a 24.

Sky: Oh, holy shit.

Kaleb: Have a

Adam: plus seven.

What'd you get, Caleb?

Kaleb: I got a big old five.

Adam: Everybody's rolling.

Great.

Alright.

Sam you realize that the, that
you could decipher enough of

what they were spouting back.

And you start going through
the alphabet backwards to them.

Okay, perfect.

And if you want to say anything,
you can, if you don't, that's fine.

No, I ki I want to, I don't
think Sam wants to say anything.

He wants to let Henry
know what the code is.

So if he can sneaky whisper it
to him or somehow communicate.

You have message or anything?

Keep up the I don't, unfortunately.

Zac : He could make it.

He's small enough.

He's a dwarf.

He could probably do a stealth roll.

Adam: Yeah.

That's what the other
option is gonna, is from.

If you wanna stealth Lily, try to sneak
like underneath the legs of everybody

and get up to Henry without being seen.

You can roll a stealth check.

Sky: Can I give him the help action by
throwing myself on the ground screw.

Please don't take me, I'm so sorry.

Adam: Okay, sure.

If you roll me Roll, roll
for performance on that one.

Come on, die with the help.

Action.

Sky: What's my plus on?

Come on.

The minus.

Okay.

That is a 13.

Adam: Alright.

It's good enough to
confuse them at this point.

Celine's just on the ground wailing.

Sky: I'm so

sorry.

Adam: It's gonna, it's gonna be, it's
gonna be an 11 with the hell back an 11.

Okay.

Hey, that passes you, you get you up.

Henry knocked that.

Continue with the scene.

Sam: The Shane whisper, the Henry

it's backwards.

You gotta say it backwards.

Zac : Oh.

What do I gotta say backwards?

Sam: The alphabet.

Zac : Alphabet.

I gotta say the whole alphabet backwards.

Yeah.

Okay.

Hold up, gimme about five
seconds to recall that.

Okay?

Yeah.

Yep.

Let me think about this.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

I definitely got it.

Okay, I got it.

I got it.

I think since he tells me this,
I'm going to look at the agent Kar.

I'm be like, listen, here you talk.

Here's the code.

I've gotta go
Z-Y-X-W-V-U-T-S-R-Q-P-O-N-M-L-K,

J-I-H-G-F-E-D-C-B-A.

Are you happy?

Adam: What about the symbols?

Zac : Now you're not doing this.

I've gotta

go

Adam: four letter passer

Kaleb: with

Adam: a number

Kaleb: and a question.

Did you chain the other two up?

Did we chain sham and Celine up at all?

Sky: I'm about the ground
screaming, kicking cry.

You're around.

I'm small.

Zac : No, we're just threatening
to kill 'em if they try to run.

So that's about as, yeah.

Okay.

That's about as we're good trying,

Sam: I'm trying to
look, I'm trying to look

small and and pretty helpless.

Adam: Yeah.

The guy's alright, but
I'm watching you carry on.

And at this point, the other
three that was like tailing you

catches up and they go that he
goes, new guy, he don't know shit.

Where they find, then you hear 'em like
over the conversation as you're walking.

Like where do they find these
guys anyways, I don't know.

Somewhere in the outer
rims of the continent.

Then here, he's a dumb ass.

Anyways, and y'all walk off and y'all
make it to the to the spire basically.

So it's a large spire.

You see a in front of you, a
massive field spire like building

within the scholars district.

You know that it was once opened
to all clerics and scholars sham.

It was sealed with divine
glyphs after the rebellion.

And it is now guarded by deviant
loyalists and enchanted traps.

Cool.

Kaleb: You see anybody at the door?

Who, like when you say there's
guards, what do we see?

Adam: You just see two
of mal car's agents.

One looks to be a dragon born and
the other one looks to be, human.

Zac : Okay.

And this is this spires where
the library's at, right?

Adam: Yes.

This is what was once known as
the Library of Eldrick Records.

, It has been renamed to the library of
mall car, but, it, it has not been used

for maac car's intended purposes because
it's enchanted with, glyphs and such.

Zac : Okay.

And there's two guards.

Sam: Would we know what it would
take for someone in like Mallory's

group to, to get into this place?

Adam: You do know that they have
been in there's a few rooms inside.

You do know that they have access
to freely go in and out of it.

It's not locked behind.

The divine glyphs is not sealed.

It's shut.

They were able to break through that.

It was once held behind with
divine glyphs by clerics.

They've just shielded
it and shut it behind.

Kaleb: Okay.

And is it just the, do we, would
we have any way of knowing,

are there just the front door?

Are there like side entrances?

I go for it.

Y'all can, y'all can roll

Adam: an investigation if you'd like.

12, 17.

Okay.

11.

So you're looking at the spire sham,
and you notice that you shouldn't

be looking for doors or entrances.

You notice that there is a sewer system
below the city and you notice that there

is an actual sewer opening over to the
left in the side of the scholars district

that you can make assumptions that
you could probably get inside somehow.

Sam: Okay.

Yeah, Sam's gonna relay that to the group.

And I'm trying to see Yeah.

Yeah.

So he goes, okay.

There's a sewer.

We can go through.

Zac : Alright.

Nothing like getting your feet a little.

I would say that's

Kaleb: more advisable.

I have no nose, so hopefully
there are no smells for you.

Three.

Zac : All right.

Nobody cast a fireball.

We got that.

Too many fumes in there.

Sam: Dang it.

Kaleb: All right.

Zab.

I, Zab is going to like, just his
whole body just turn towards sha.

Sam: You talking about you,

but what do you mean as I'm already
like looking, expecting one of

my, one of the vials I have.

It's oh wait, no.

Put, puts it

Adam: back.

Nice.

So if y'all are going to the
sewer I'm gonna need a an Acer.

If y'all go into the sewer, y'all
are gonna need an acrobatics check.

Okay.

So that way y'all are not since
it's slippery to get into void some

detection because the grates are open.

Sam: Notice

Kaleb: 30,

Sky: 29, 1 I give up.

I need

Zac : face first in the shitter.

Adam: Yeah,

Sam: I am just going to misty, step down.

Adam: Okay.

Okay.

All

Zac : Smart history.

Yeah.

Adam: What'd you roll Henry?

Zac : A nine.

Adam: A nine?

Okay.

Deb and sham are able to
essentially go down and they start

walking forward into the pipes.

You notice that the sewer system is not
like an intricate underground sewer.

It's just a large pipe with holes for
people to shovel their gray water as I

will say it down into the drainage systems
of Opal Ke for Celine and Henry they start

to go down and one of them slips on a
ledge and they take five falling damage.

Zac : Oh, that's awesome.

Adam: And then Henry falls on top of
Celine and hits the sword and takes

another six, six falling damage.

Seline takes five.

Sky: Henry, I don't
know you all that well.

Get off of me.

Zac : Alright you're the one who's got
your damn blade in my back right now.

Don't be on my blade.

I dunno what else to say?

Don't fall next time.

Sky: What do you want
me to do here, woman?

I don't know.

Maybe help a woman down.

Just, I think you pushed me, honestly.

Oh, you're above

Zac : me.

How do you expect me to do that?

You know what, let's get up.

I feel like there's some shit
getting into my wound right now.

Adam: You notice that as you look up,
there is a figure looking down at you

from the sewer, from above, but you
can't make out, it's just a dark figure

from the way the sun is shining down.

And you, you hear a yell like they
are in here and, it's up to you to

decide what you wanna do with that.

I, Ooh, do we all hear that?

You can hear an echo of they're here
in here down the pipe a little bit as

the, as them two are arguing whether
or not they were pushed or not.

Sky: Im gonna touch Henry
and Vigilant blessing.

So you had, ev you have advantage
on your next initiative rule.

Adam: Oh, nice.

Zac : Thank you.

Thank

Sam: you.

Sam's gonna double back and try to like

What happened?

Stacey's gonna say in a hushed tone.

Zac : What happened?

We failed.

You hurt.

You fell.

You fell.

Yes.

Oh, my back is hurting.

Oh, okay.

I think we,

Sam: I have, I have something
if few, if your back's hurting

Zac : Y Yes, please.

But do it quickly.

We're being followed.

Okay.

Adam: Oh, okay.

He's gonna toss you.

It's a, it's one of my al
chemical healing potions.

2D four plus four.

Healing

Zac : 2D four plus four.

All right.

Lemme get that going here.

Adam: Okay.

You notice as you look back up
after you give them vi vigilant

was it Lance that you gave him?

Was that what it was?

Oh,

Sky: yeah.

Vigilant listening.

Yeah.

Adam: You noticed as you
look up the shadow is gone.

The head, of the shadow is gone.

So you don't know where if they're
running to grab somebody or not.

This is, it's up to you.

If you wanna stay, if you wanna run into
the spire from the underground, you can.

It's up to you.

Probably go,

Kaleb: Yeah.

It is far likely there will be more
than just the one we should go.

Yeah.

Zac : I'm

many

grants.

Let's get on.

Adam: Alright, so y'all make
your way through the muck and

the slime and the gray water.

And, , y'all make your way into
this, into the scriptorium.

Y'all find an entrance for the
bathrooms, and y'all climb up through

the trough, breaking through, and y'all
find yourselves in the scriptorium.

If anyone wants to roll me a perception,
I can tell you what the scriptorium is.

Sky: I will.

17.

Zac : Nope.

Nope.

Nope.

Kaleb: That's a 10.

Zac : Not happening.

Five.

Adam: Okay.

Celine, you notice that the desks
themselves in the scriptorium are

charred by fire and flames and
around them are floating embers.

And you're not sure like
how that's still on fire?

You assume it's divine in some way?

Sky: I relayed this.

Okay,

Kaleb: thank you.

Can I roll arana just to see if
I can, like any discern of what,

like what kind of mad, like what
it could be that's keeping the

fire from going or the fire going?

Yeah.

Yeah.

I'm gonna give him a help action.

Okay, too.

Alright, go for it.

Let's just roll.

Ooh.

Yeah.

We're gonna roll with a sweet 21.

Ooh.

Oh

Adam: yeah.

You notice that the fire themselves
are it's caused by divine fire from the

gods themselves as well as the embers
themselves, whisper forgotten names.

It's all magical through there.

Kaleb: I am gonna relay that and he's
gonna look at Celine and say, while I

do not have a scientific explanation for
the flames, you being on the more divine

side of knowledge may have more knowhow

Sky: knowhow of what is happening.

Or

Kaleb: can you please explain to me how
fire is burning but not burning the wood?

Sky: I, it is something with the
gods, it's like a, I don't know.

Mine is nighttime.

I don't know, man.

I don't know.

Yes, the wrong one.

Kaleb: This is satisfactory.

Perfect.

I'm glad.

Adam: Y see, y'all could continue through
the room if you'd like and try to see if

there's any other rooms you do notice that
that this part of the library themselves

is necessarily not been explored.

Okay.

You notice that is there's crumble,
there's crumbling rocks around,

and it seems to have blocked up
passageways, what you would assume

to be the passageways that the guards
are guarding from the front itself.

Zac : Okay.

Adam: I would like to maybe
make, investigate the room to

see if there's anything helpful.

Okay.

In these books.

Yeah.

So you look around, you can roll.

Yeah and I'll let you know
what that's a dirty 20.

Okay.

With your investigation of the
room itself, that these are large

tables of desks with the embers.

The books themselves are of no use to you.

They are just books about
different things, but of use to

the quest at hand, not so much.

You do notice on the other side of the
room that there is a there is what's to

be a large celestial, gilded door with
celestial writing that the same as profe

professor Thorn's, robes were made of
and that is at the far end of the room.

Okay.

Sam: Does anyone read the last

Zac : YI can't say I do, but
while y'all do that, I'm gonna

peruse around Henry, if he may.

I know that Sham didn't find
anything, but Henry wants to look

around for specifically since he's
in this Arcane library, a book

that might be able to, I break.

I do Pax.

Nice.

Adam: Okay.

You can try to roll for that

Zac : investigation,

Adam: yep.

Zac : Nah, it's gonna be a nine.

Adam: Yeah, you don't really find much.

You find like a history
of ab Boreal in there.

You find some other, books that
weren't necessarily to be not of

magic, just more of history of the
gods and different things like that.

Sky: Celine does speak
celestial or speaker.

Oh, so

Adam: perfect.

Sky: Let's go for it.

Okay.

Would I be reading,

Adam: hello?

Are y'all at the door
of the celestial door?

Sky: Yeah, I'll walk up there.

Adam: Yeah, if there's nothing
else for us, nothing on note.

Sky: Yeah.

Adam: So on the door itself you
see a celestial glyphs of the

different, of different gods.

Essentially you have four rotating g
glyphs of Bama loaf and Pallo and saloon.

And those are able, you notice that
you're able to slide them in different

orders and you can assume through
the glyphs themselves that they are

needed to be in a specific order.

Sky: So you said Palor, palor, saloon,

Zac : loaf and Ba lo and Bama.

Adam: Yep.

And you noticed that they, that only
in where you need to move the celestial

glyphs to the door handle itself, you
notice that there's only three spots.

Sky: Oh.

Here's what all of this says, guys.

I am not the smartest, so maybe
there's something in a book

somewhere, or I don't know.

Zac : All right.

So we know you could do

Adam: religion or you could
do just straight intelligence.

It's up to y'all.

Zac : I'm gonna go for more.

I can

Kaleb: try investigation.

Yeah.

I was gonna

You said religion or just
a straight intelligence?

Yes.

I'll roll intelligence.

Sky: Oh yeah, that's fine.

I could do that.

Adam: Intelligence

Sky: A 19 for religion?

Yeah.

Adam: Oh, no.

Seven 10.

Intelligence.

Intelligence.

Nah.

Okay.

So Celine, you notice with your 19
of religion that lo is one of the not

divine loyalists in the halls anymore.

And you notice, that Bama and payor
and saloon are the, are still missing,

but BA's the ones that was, a acts.

So you, we can make the assumption that
the three that needs to be in the door

handle would be Bama, payor and saloon.

Slu.

Sky: Then I shall do that.

Adam: And just for lo clarification this.

And.

This world Hamud is still the same God
of chromatic dragons, is that correct?

Correct.

Or this a different, okay.

Zac : Nope, same one.

Yeah.

Adam: Great.

Same one.

Perfect.

He's just dead, correct?

Zac : Yeah.

He's dead.

Yeah, I

Kaleb: agree.

Got very dead.

He got mur.

Yeah.

They rolled up on him.

Marked him, yeah.

Got Malco and they killed the god of the

Adam: dragon.

Cool.

Alright.

So you move the glyphs into the door
handle itself, and out pops a golden

almost golden brass handle itself.

And you hold onto it and you feel a spark.

Where the room itself fire and flames,
like from the desks themselves, it

looks like a verus has popped up.

For a brief moment, you
could feel the fire.

It feels real.

You feel like you've you feel
like you did the puzzle wrong.

But as the fire and smoke dissipate you
realize the room now is transformed.

And a gly above the back wall
reads the sanctum of ink on it.

And down below there's a single pedestal
and a what looks to be a book of some

kind on the pedestal with a shiny light.

Beaming down on it.

Sky: Shiny.

This feels diva.

Kaleb: So it like, that's
everything else that disappeared.

It's just this one pillar.

Adam: Yes.

It's just this one pillar.

Kaleb: Okay.

Adam: And this, you're in the room now.

It's called Sanctum of Ink.

Zac : Okay.

Can I do an ana check to make sure
this is not trapped magically?

'cause I know the door was a trap itself.

I just wanna make sure if we
take this off a pillar, this is

not gonna Indiana Jones style.

This the

Adam: Yeah.

Sure.

Go for it.

Your chicken for chaps.

Zac : God,

to that one again.

Adam: You do not believe there's
any trap of any kind on that pillar.

Zac : So I've been doing this a
long time and I don't think we

have anything to worry about.

Sky: Amazing.

I'm gonna go grab the book.

Kaleb: Yeah.

I'm just rolling up behind.

I'm a, I'm, this is fully, even though
he is magic, fully out of his just like

element, he's outta his depth right now.

Adam: All right.

All right.

Y'all approach the pillar and you look at
the pillar and you see the book continue.

What do y'all do?

We pick it up.

Yeah,

Kaleb: I was gonna say Selena, you
just like fully, I'm picking it up.

Adam: Iking it.

Okay, pat.

Zac : Oh, don't do that

Adam: head, man.

He's just right behind you.

We all explode.

You yanked the book itself and
you hear a faint click fell.

Oh shit.

Sky: I thought you said that.

It was good, Henry.

You laughed to me.

Zac : You're supposed
to gently pick it up.

Adam: You

Zac : yanked it.

Adam: Wait, you said it

Sky: was fine.

Adam: You hear a click and
then you hear what sounds to

be like cobblestone rubbing.

It gets cobblestone.

You know the stone sound of
like mechanics happening.

And over in the corner of of Z's
eye, you see a what looks to be a

metallic arrow machine of some kind.

Very mach machinists of it has
four different holes coming

out of it as it pulls up.

And in a split second.

Y'all will need to make a
dexterity saving throw, please.

Beautiful.

Kaleb: Oh, you love to see it.

You love to see it.

Oh, that's 18.

Zac : Oh gosh.

Sam: baby.

It's gonna be a 10, but it went
from 20 and it cocked over 10.

Damn.

No, it's set to ten three plus two.

Alright.

But we're dead.

We're dead.

Kaleb: I got nothing, my man.

Sam: Nice knowing ya.

Okay.

Henry and Celine will take five piercing
damage while Zeb and Sam will take 10.

Sky: I'll use my bonus
action to intercept.

Okay.

The cobalts damage.

Kaleb: Oh, thank you.

So you said 10?

Yep.

Zac : Yeah, I've got a I've
got, I take away 11, so

Sky: you get nothing.

Adam: Beautiful.

Thank you so much.

Zac : I've got something that I could
use as bonus action, but I wanna see

if DM will allow Adam, allow this.

Can I, am I by zb you're
taking shams damage, right?

Yeah.

Am I by Zeb?

Okay.

Can I grab him and then Misty step out of
the way so he doesn't take full damage?

Oh

Adam: yes.

I believe Misty Step, you
can carry somebody with you.

Up to a certain, someone read
me Misty step real quick.

I surrounded by silvery

Zac : mist.

You teleport up to 30 feet
to an unoccupied space.

You can see it doesn't say
anything about carrying

Adam: anybody, but theoretically if
I'm holding my weapon and I Misty

step, I still have my weapon with me.

Yeah, that's what I'm holding.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I think that's fine.

Are you a large creature?

Are you considered a large creature?

Kaleb: I'm I think I'm considered large.

Gimme one second and I can No, I'm medium.

Adam: You're medium?

Okay.

Yeah.

Yeah, that'll be fine.

I just didn't want size
things to be wonky.

Yeah.

So yeah I'm medium

Kaleb: for

Adam: everything.

Yeah.

So you take five damage then
Tim, I think as Celine, right?

As she intercepts the damage.

Sam's like surprised 'cause no one's
ever stepped in for him before.

He like is kinda spooked out of
his disguise self and it drops

and he is back to the cobalt's.

Is she still

Sky: looking at the book and the
shield just went right in front of you?

Just like

Adam: full

Zac : gangster

Adam: moment?

I gotta know.

So y'all are in what I to
call story driven initiative.

It's where where y'all can take actions
to now to try to escape the spire.

But y'all can use your resources
that is around you and your

resources, in your skills.

It's kinda like skills check, but okay.

I set The DC doesn't change.

Y'all just make really cool actions
to try to get out of the spire.

'cause y'all are in a trapped room.

Basically a trapped room.

Not trapped, but a trapped room.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Can, so it, just to confirm,
we see the door that we, that

Celine fixed the puzzle in.

We're in the middle with the pillar.

And is there anything else other
than that or barreled arrow

cannon that's shooting at us?

Yeah.

So there's

Adam: that.

And that's what's attacking
y'all at this stage.

Yeah.

But y'all do see the door and then you
are, y'all can, you can roll a perception

in the skill check to see if you want
to see anything else, if that fair.

That's I'm gonna roll

Kaleb: perception.

Adam: Yeah.

Okay.

So if everybody can roll me initiative,
this will be our first initiative.

I

Zac : rolled perception, but
I'm also rolling initiative.

I rolled 15 on my perception.

Yeah.

Adam: And then if someone write
those numbers down, not good.

That would be good.

Initiative is a

Zac : seven, seven old initiative.

Ugh, that's a four.

Lemme roll.

Four, five and seven.

Alright.

Adam: I need a new

Zac : dice.

Hey, my Dexter or my
perception check was 15 though.

This dice is getting, perception

Kaleb: check was even worse.

It was a four.

I have initiative for perception.

Adam: Okay.

Who's first?

I heard a seven.

Sam: I have a four.

Sky: I

got a 17.

Adam: She's first 17.

Celine.

And then five for Caleb.

Seven for Zach.

So we got Celine, Zach,
Caleb, and then Sham.

Cool.

Alright.

Sky: Okay.

Adam: So we'll start with Celine.

So there's no doors in this room
except for the one I'm natural

perception to

Sky: find out.

Oh.

What's my plus 7 25.

Okay.

Adam: So you noticed that the room itself
there you notice that there could be

what could be described as a false wall
behind the arrow, four barreled arrows.

Also you notice that there
are rafters above you.

That there is a piece
of exposed roof per se.

Roof, ceiling and floor.

From the second floor down,
there's exposed area there that

y'all could possibly jump up to
the rafter and then jump up to the

second floor and try to get out.

Sky: Okay.

I will use my movement to go
to the false wall and just try

to throw myself against it to.

Adam: Let's do a, let's
do a strength thing.

Throw

Sky: strength.

Hell yeah, brother.

24.

Adam: Nice.

You are able to push against the wall
and feel that the cobblestone moves

and you're able to move it in the
right direction where it overbears

its gears themselves and slides out.

And you notice that behind
it exposes a long hallway.

Sky: Look guys, I found a hallway.

Alright,

Adam: so then we go to Henry.

Henry is next.

Zac : All right.

You found a hallway?

I'm about to haul ass and he's
just gonna bolt just, dark.

Yeah.

And he's gonna say, come
on, little lizard, man.

Adam: Alright.

So y'all so Zach, are you gonna
roll a acrobatics, athletics?

Zac : Yeah, I'll do acro.

Adam: Make sure you don't,

Zac : I'll do acrobatics to like, yeah.

Not

Adam: 2023.

Let's

Zac : go.

Hell yeah.

All right,

Adam: Mo, so Henry fly past you,
so Celine and he makes it all

the way across the long hallway.

Like the flash.

And then we go to Zeeb,

Zac : Wally West Style

Kaleb: Zeeb.

Just takes a quick look at that barrel
and just, you can see, shake his head.

Nope.

And he's gonna try to do his
best to follow after Henry.

Zac : Okay.

Kaleb: You said acrobatics?

Adam: Yep.

Kaleb: Ooh, 12.

Not great.

Okay.

Terrible.

Adam: So you're able to run but
halfway through the long hallway you

hit a pressure plate in there, and
you noticed that the that it starts

a conveyor belt of some sort, and you
are stuck in the conveyor belt where

where Zach is at the end, where the
door is next to it pops out a pops

out, a spikes heading towards y'all.

Cool.

Zac : Okay.

Cool.

Cool.

Cool.

Cool, cool.

Okay.

All right.

I got

Adam: another, oh, excuse me.

Not headed not headed towards
Zach, not from Zach's direction,

from behind where Saloon is.

There's spikes.

That's, that has started.

Excuse me.

So like that buzz here, hallway

Zac : scene and toy story two.

Yes.

Adam: Yes.

But there's spikes behind the

Zac : Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

It's coming towards us.

Like I'm at the end of the
hallway, so we're running down

the hallways coming towards us
spikes and it's coming towards us.

Okay.

Yeah.

Adam: Okay.

Zac : I got an idea,

Adam: but Zach is on a
platform that is not moving.

Oh, the only one that's on the platform.

The running the

Kaleb: treadmill basically.

Adam: Yes.

Okay.

Yes.

So zb, Celine, and and Sham
is fixing to get there.

I'm gonna assume shams
following behind at some point.

So it will belene Zeeb and Sham all
running on the treadmill trying to escape

the spikes that are headed that their way.

Kaleb: Cool.

Cool, cool.

Sky: We're gonna get so skinny guys

Kaleb: getting that cardio in.

Let's go.

Adam: Alright.

So we will go to Sham.

Yeah, so I think Sham Hass been
really distracted by the room.

Hence his really low initiative
role and looks over his shoulder

and notices everyone's gone.

And he goes, ha and he just starts
scramming all the way to where

Henry Riel ran and that brand.

Alright.

All right.

So you're on the conveyor belt and
you hop on and are you gonna try

to stop it from somehow or do you
want to, what do you want to do?

Maybe?

Yeah, I'd like to, if I can do investigate
the area to see if there's like a

pressure point or a pattern to, to what's
going on, what's triggering the traps.

Or I could, that'll work
UNT trigger this strap.

Sam: Use your

Adam: skills

to your advantage.

That's a, that one my advice suck.

You're not for sure what is, you
don't know necessarily if it's a

mechanical in nature or if it's magical
in nature to try to stop the spike.

And then we're back to
the top of the order.

You notice that the 'cause
I rolled for the spike.

So you notice that spikes are one block
forward in d and d terms closer to y'all.

And we go back up to Celine,
who's now running on a treadmill.

Sky: I'm booking it with in my plate mail.

Adam: Alright, so you can roll
a athletics and you are able to

go basically three blocks ahead.

I wish I had a map to show y'all
how it looks, but basically imagine

like a 20 block conveyor belt.

Okay?

Y'all are able to go three
blocks within athletics.

I, if you normally run,
you are able to go two.

So athletics gives you an extra block.

The spikes go one block
each initiative roll up.

Sky: I got an 18.

Adam: Okay.

So you're able to go three blocks forward.

Sky: Yeah.

Adam: The blocks right now are
about, y'all are about three

blocks behind the spikes.

Just give y'all an idea.

So Celine is three blocks ahead so
that she would make her six blocks.

Zach is all the way down
the end at the 20 blocks.

Zab and Sham are three
blocks behind the spikes.

Zac : Okay, cool.

Fine.

Adam: Cool.

Henry.

Zac : Okay.

I'm gonna see if there's any way I
can notice how to stop this thing.

So was there gonna be perception

Adam: would be investigation.

Zac : Oh, you bitch 11.

Sorry.

It was just on the cusp of a 19.

Adam: You notice that this
is not magical in any way.

This is very mechanical.

And you notice that on on one of the
way the Holloway is, there's certain

sections that are just made of wood
in between the cobblestone walls.

And you notice that there's a small crack
between the wood and the cobblestone.

And you can assume maybe in that crack
is where one of the gear mechanisms lie.

Zac : Okay.

So do I have an action left?

Adam: No, that is your action.

Okay.

Zac : That is my action.

Adam: But you can relay that message to
the group if that's what you're trying

Zac : to do.

All right.

Yeah.

That doesn't take it.

I'm well, I was just, I'm
just gonna scream out.

Y'all see that crack right there?

There is a gear behind it.

Somebody do something 'cause
I don't have any more actions

because I can't do nothing.

Adam: Alright, we're gonna go to Z

Kaleb: Zb.

Okay, cool.

And is, sorry, just to clarify,
you said it's just it looks like

it's just one gear or it's like a
series of gears that he can see.

Adam: Series of gears.

Just the man behind it is the
mechanism is what mechanism

could be described as mechanism.

'cause you can hear the gears
inside moving the conveyor belt.

Alright,

Kaleb: bet.

I'm gonna throw, yeah, I'm gonna, I'm
gonna cast a first level chromatic orb.

Ooh, nice.

I'm gonna choose fire and I'm gonna
hurl that at that crack to try to

see if I can melt those gears or just
do something to like gum that up.

Nice.

Okay.

Alright.

Let me, Ooh.

That is a 14 to hit.

Adam: Okay.

You definitely hear it.

And you definitely feel the you definitely
feel the gears of the conveyor belt.

Slow down just a little
bit while you're running.

So you definitely hurt it in some way.

It is still moving, but
it's not moving as fast.

So now y'all are able to gain additional
blocks when you're running forward.

Kaleb: Okay.

And then Adam, question, do you,
since that was a first level

spell, do you want me to go ahead
and roll my wild magic table?

Zac : Yes,

Kaleb: of course.

That's Wild Magic course, sir.

I know it so it's specific.

I've played with some dms that don't
make me roll every time, so I love it.

That's the reason I chose this.

Adam: Oh, no I'm making
it roll every time.

So much fun.

More chaos.

The better.

I was turned a pot one time.

Kaleb: Oh, gr you and all creatures within
30 feet of you gained vulnerability to

piercing damage for the next Oh my God.

Zac : What?

Kaleb: Great.

What

Sky: a what?

Zac : A what a roll there, bud.

Adam: Yeah, the dice guys
do not smile upon us.

That's easy to, no.

Just as the DM plan piercing, let's

Zac : go.

God.

Put

Adam: a roll.

Yeah.

Alright.

Sam, what are you doing?

You feel very vulnerable to piercing now?

I do.

I'm gonna, I'm gonna, yeah, I'm
gonna try to clock the same.

Hole in the wall, and I'm gonna
cast fire bolt at it and try

to simply slow down even more.

That's a dirty 2012.

Okay.

You are able to stop you were able to hit
through the opening of the hole from the

chromatic, and you feel that the gears
itself just come to a complete halt.

And I need all of y'all to
make a dexterity saving throw.

Besides Zach.

Zac : Oh, besides me.

14.

Oh, I got 20 anyway.

So what's the matter?

14.

Kaleb: That's a three.

Adam: Okay.

So Celine and Sha are able to
stop halfway through all of that.

And then you see the war
forged tumble over and fall.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Casey love it.

Adam: And that is the skill challenge.

Good job, guys.

Cool.

That takes you outta initiative.

Good job.

Beautiful.

Very proud.

I have a couple of those, throw that way.

So it's fun.

It's fun initiative where you're not
fighting something, you're trying to

figure out how to defeat something.

I like to throw those in there for y'all.

That's fine.

Y'all make it to the
other side of the door.

Y'all, y'all make it to the other door.

Y'all open it up and you realize
that this is an access way to the to

the backside of the library itself.

So y'all are able to get out and
you look out and it's about probably

midday at this point, beyond, no,
probably around three to four ish.

So the sun's slightly
in a different position.

Y'all are able to get outside into what
kind of looks like a like a garden area

of the library inside of its own shadow.

And you can take a moment
to breathe a little bit.

Zac : So can we consider
this a short rest?

Adam: Yeah, that'll be fine.

Zac : We're gonna take a short rest.

Short rest taken.

Adam: So you do have the book.

You are welcome to investigate the book.

Look in the book.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I wanna read the book.

Don't forget

Zac : that.

Adam: So you open the book and all
is one sliver of a page and it reads.

Zac : Oh, okay.

Sky: You're muted.

Zac : Yep.

Yep.

No audio.

Adam: There we go.

There we go.

Sorry.

There we go.

It reads it glows with divine warmth
when you touch it and it reads in

celestial and glom locks throat.

The flame runs cold beneath the
spire world where records hold,

speak the name, the gods still trust
or ash and ruin return to dust.

Dust, ugh.

Dust.

Sky: Guys, what I happened
to have found in the book is

exactly what was just read to us.

Zac : Amazing.

Wow.

All right.

So we got a,

Adam: sorry.

Did you want me to put on a, I could put
on, I could put on a voice for that line.

The Glo locks throat, the flame rod
code beneath the spiral, or record to

speak the name to God's steel Rush or

Kaleb: congratulations.

That better for you having

Zac : Yeah,

I got boy.

All right.

. Be so Henry is gonna be lighting
up a cigarette and just being like,

all right, so we gotta go to GL lock.

That's a hell of a trek.

God, I am.

Sam: I'm from Cluck.

Sky: Oh, are you?

Are you

really?

Yeah, I am.

That's so cool.

Yeah,

Zac : it's cool.

All right you know how to get there

Sam: then.

Little lizard man, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Jim thinks he does that

Kaleb: way.

Zac : All right.

Looks, looks like we're following
you and he puts his last hit

and throws his cigarette down.

Sky: Aren't we still in the library?

That's gonna set the whole
place on fucking fire.

Zac : Hey, look, there's no oil around.

Guess what?

Don't I stumped it out?

It's all good.

Adam: He's in the smoking zone of the
non-smoking zone of the library, right?

Yep.

We're, they haven't learned that smoking,
like they know smoking's bad for you,

but they don't want to piss off people
because the majority still smoke.

So here's the smoking
section of the library.

Really?

Those were constructed for the
dragon borne in the area that,

that couldn't help themselves.

Kaleb: That's just that's
just dragon propaganda.

That cigarettes are bad for you.

Dragon propaganda.

Zac : I'm not listening though.

Fucking dragon

propaganda.

Adam: Gimme a hit of that
marble red real quick.

Yeah.

He's

Zac : lighting up a Newport.

He likes the menthol,

Kaleb: the commercials.

Commercials.

Instead of the Marlboro man,
it's the marble beholder

Zac : and he's got each eyes holding a
different cigarette and he is just pop.

Adam: Alright, so if y'all want to
make your way to Glo lock, that's fine.

If y'all wanna do anything else
while you're still in Opal ke you

can but y'all know, y'all need to
head to Glom Lock at some point.

All right y'all can go to

this glum lock.

I'm not gonna do travel things
'cause I hate travel things.

Me too.

So

Kaleb: you done for,

Adam: so I am fine with someone
rolling me a D 100 and telling me

what number they get and it takes
three days to get to Glom block.

Kaleb: If.

Is it's not seeing is nobody else has
gotten a hard na one except for Sky.

Maybe not her.

Yeah, I, this I got a NA

Zac : one too.

I'm not Oh, I got a na one.

Yeah, I did get a nat one.

Okay.

So it's me then.

Cool.

I think

Sky: you need to roll it.

Adam: 40 40.

Alright.

This is what happened on
day one of your travel.

You ready?

Yes.

Let's go.

No.

You find a male human
sleeping covered in cobwebs.

He's been there for a while.

Drip van winter.

Is he alive?

Y'all can roll for it.

I'm gonna see if he's alive.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Let's roll.

Let's roll a investigation.

Adam: Yeah.

Ooh, not 20.

Kaleb: Hell yeah.

You

Adam: noticed that?

That's the 27.

That he is dead.

Sam: Oh.

He dead.

He's

Kaleb: dead.

Adam: All right.

Yeah, if y'all want to investigate
the body, you can around.

Kaleb: Yeah.

I was gonna say Z goes would be
a opportune time for looting.

Six.

Adam: Beautiful.

Six cobwebs.

Girl of wall of force on him.

Yeah, that might be helpful.

He you find him and you noticed that
in his coat pocket that he has a

parchment that looks to be of Faye.

So does anybody speak Fay Fey

Zac : or Fey?

Adam: Fey?

F-E-Y-F-E-Y.

Fey?

Zac : I think I speak Draconic and Elish.

I got Celestial and elb.

Adam: If it's ish have
comprehend languages.

Okay.

I'm use that.

Okay.

Sky: Comprehend that language.

Adam: Comprehended it.

Alright.

You comprehended the language.

You noticed that this was a a bar tab
where he had to pay a bunch of Faye

because he lost his drinking contest and
he noticed the date was like 40 years ago.

I relate it to everyone
else and just unfortunate.

Kaleb: Would you be perception
or investigation to see if

there's any, anything or anyone
around that's like watching us?

Adam: Perception?

Kaleb: Yeah.

What your passive 17.

Not

Zac : great.

Adam: Mine's

Kaleb: a It's 12.

Adam: So you go ahead and
roll a perception check in.

Kaleb: Okay.

Cool.

Cool.

Adam: That is 15.

You don't notice anything
around you around at night.

When you camp the first night,
you don't really notice anything.

Zac : So we're doing long
rest, I guess since we Yep.

Adam: Everything's gonna
be a long rest for y'all.

Next day.

Roll me a D 100 please.

All of us.

One of y'all, whoever wants to

Zac : roll

Adam: it, I can roll it.

I can, yeah, go for it.

Nope, you roll it.

Same You roll it.

Okay.

Let me grab my other.

We go D 129 29.

Let's see.

Zac : Oh god.

Adam: Alright.

You come across a random inn before
you settle down for the night.

Kaleb: A random inn is it,
does that people in it?

Adam: Yeah.

Lights on.

Looks like a normal inn.

It looks like a normal inn.

I'm doing

Zac : our kind of check.

There's no something don't
sit right with your boy.

No.

Visible chicken legs coming out
the bottom of this building.

That is 23.

There's no baba yaga for me.

We sink.

Adam: Yeah.

Do we see you said 23 that you old?

Yeah,

Zac : 23 ar

Adam: you don't notice
anything weird about this end?

Zac : Okay.

I'll say All right, so I don't
look, I know I said this last

time, but truly this is fine.

I think we can, you know

Sky: what?

I don't believe you
actually, because all one

Adam: second that opinion.

Can I insight Henry make sure
that easier, this kind, I dunno.

Insight.

That's a four.

No, I have better insight.

Oh, cool.

That's gonna be a 16 insight.

You believe he's telling
the truth this time?

Okay, this time he's telling the truth.

Sky: Are you sure?

We got shot at last time.

Zac : Yeah.

Somebody yanked it.

I reluctantly well, believe you.

Sky: That's what she said.

All right,

Adam: So do y'all want to
camp out under the stars or do

y'all wanna camp in the end?

Zac : I'm gonna

Kaleb: go in the end.

Zac : Yeah,

Kaleb: we

Adam: go

Kaleb: in the end.

Yeah.

Desperately does not wanna
rust in case it rains.

Adam: Okay.

So y'all make it to, into the end
y'all are greeted by a lovely old lady.

Her name is Miriam.

She runs this in she's girl,
sweetheart, how can I help you?

Zac : Nope, I'm, nope I'm rolling.

We can camp outside.

It's really not that big a deal.

Sky: Oh, you're okay?

Okay.

Jim.

Kaleb: Jim likes the cult.

Jim

Sam: likes

Kaleb: the right 16, 16 invite.

By the way, 16.

Sam: You believe she's a sweet old lady.

I don't like that at all.

Zac : I'm,

Adam: I am.

I am going.

Can I cast c invisibility on myself?

Sam: Want to

Adam: see if there's anything.

I can see objects that are visible
and I can see into the ethereal plane.

Yeah.

You don't really see much of anything when
you look around, you see an old woman.

Zac : I'm I'm gonna, I'm gonna cast detect
magic 'cause I still think something's up

Adam: good.

Alright.

You don't detect any magical around
you besides some, is this the door on

scenario besides your party scenario?

This is for sure a door.

The door's unlocked.

Okay.

Take your long rest and move on all.

So not spend 30 minutes.

Yeah.

We're not gonna

Zac : investigate this.

All right.

I'm gonna say, do y'all wanna
sleep inside or outside?

If so, I gotta go back
and talk to, to sleep.

I got

Adam: more cookies for you
guys if you, no, I'm coming

Sky: outside.

That's it.

I'm out.

Adam: Not, I'm gonna stay,
I'm gonna go outside.

I'm gonna assume there's gonna,
I'm gonna camp in the staple.

Zac : Yeah.

We're all gonna, we're all just
gonna kind of camp outside,

Sky: right?

Kaleb: Yeah.

Know Deb's gonna go in the
stable something to, if only

because he just is following.

'cause he's but I trust her.

Adam: Alright.

So y'all wake up the next morning
and the end is still there.

Cool.

Zac : Wonderful.

Okay.

We just broke her heart.

Didn't take her cookies.

Goodbye.

Oh yeah, no,

Sky: I, now I feel bad.

TRO ruined cookies.

I can't,

Adam: no, we ruined it.

Last roll last night before
Glo lock random D 100 please.

I'll do it.

Zac : Oh, okay.

Go for it.

Sky: I called it

Zac : Yes you did.

Go for it.

Sky: I shit you not.

Guys, I rolled a wand.

What?

The

Adam: how on a D 100.

Sky: D 100 honey, I'm done.

What?

Don't let me roll for anything.

Every we find you ready?

Adam: You Ready for the one God, Noah.

Alright, do it.

Celine.

As you're going to bed, you see
a great elk is seen watching

the party from a distance.

Oh.

It almost looks as if the elk is
wearing a crown made of twigs and vines.

Sam: Nope.

Adam: And it stands up on two legs.

Zac : Holy shit.

Oh shit.

It's a wind to go actually job.

We're

Adam: Appalachia with
the Appalachia right now.

Guys, I'm

Zac : scared you hear the dialects.

We are definitely in Appalachia.

Kaleb: The messed up parties
we're asleep but I'm not because

I fully heard saw in everything.

'cause I don't sleep.

Sky: Say if I'm scared,
I come stand next to me

Adam: scared.

And y'all wake up the next
morning and everything was fine.

Zac : Okay.

All right.

Moving on.

We're not investigating that.

We're not how keep going.

Good thing little lizard
man's got fire on him.

Adam: Alright we are moving on.

Yep.

As you as the party escapes the chaos
of the library in Opal, keep thorn

thorn guided y'all to seek out the
scorched codex page and points your

riddle to eng glam lock's throat.

The flame runs cold beneath the
spire where the records hold speak

the name of the gods Still trust
or Ashton ruin return to dust.

You know that glom lock was once a
home to the spire of a first flame,

and it was an outpost of the divine
scribes before the howled halls fell.

It's forgotten power perched
on the edge of the cliffs.

So imagine like avatar the last airbender.

Like nomad temples with
spires on cliff sides.

Okay.

It was repository of celestial
records, too dangerous to destroy,

but also too sacred to be moved.

You know that as well as an opal keet as
well as in Glo Lock your sunfire talisman

that you have the orb which which pulses
as you get closer to glom lock each day.

You you know that you are seeking
out a aspire at this point from

the scorched codex that you have.

Okay.

And you enter Glam Lock, the home of Sham?

Sam: Yes,

Adam: I think so.

We're looking for Aspire.

It's presumably old and not
being used, abandoned and, yep.

Okay.

Would I have any memory
of seeing that prior?

Yeah.

So you know that there is po a, a old
Spire that some call the Flames spire.

Okay.

It is long ago, forgotten.

And it is perched to the north of Glam
Lock off into the Snowy Mountains.

Okay.

So Sham turns to the apart and he goes I
think Sham knows where the Spire could be.

It's north.

It's gonna be very cold.

I don't like, but it's north.

Zac : Alright so y'all walk into,

Adam: y'all, walk into Glam Lock.

Let me just describe what Glam Lock is.

So nestled on the Jacked Mountain
Shelf above the village of Glam Lock.

There what Chan was saying,
there's a ruin spire archive and it

leans, precariously into the void,
basically just into the clouds below.

And the lower levels have carved, have
caved in due to seismic instability caused

by the magical aftershocks of Malakar.

God killing spells the winds howl
through the cracked windows and glowing

in birds drift unnaturally in the air

as y'all go to the spire.

That's what y'all approach.

Kaleb: Okay, cool.

So we're, are we still in the
city or we decide to leave?

Like we're headed north right now.

Adam: You're just heading north.

Kaleb: Okay, cool.

I don't, unless there's something
eventful that happens, I'm down

to just head up to the spire.

Adam: Yeah, agreed.

Me too.

I think oh, let me grab, so y'all
make your way up to the spire itself.

You notice that above where the spire
before the spire itself, you notice a

sign and it's known as tor ethereal.

And you notice that is the, where
the spire supposedly of the first

flame was held at one point.

Y'all are now going to do a
skill challenge of acrobatics,

athletics perceptions and arcana.

To figure out how to climb the
fractured spiral staircases that

you're going into around the spire.

There's sections that are broken and
they force some jumps and some creative

solutions to get to the spire itself.

Cool.

Zac : Alright, so if y'all

Adam: wanna roll initiative again,
and then we can go in order.

This could be our next skill Challenge.

Zac : 20.

Dirty.

Sky: I got a four.

18.

Adam: You got eight.

Eight.

What'd you get, Henry?

Zac : 20.

30.

20.

Adam: Okay.

So Henry, you're up first.

You've gotta navigate the spire with
falling rocks and broken up staircases.

Zac : Okay.

So I see it like broken.

So I'm gonna assume like these
staircases are like jagged poking

out the side like bit by bed.

This is definitely an uncharted
tomb Raider esque thing.

Okay.

Yeah.

Henry's gonna say it's not my
first time doing this either.

And he's gonna try to like wall
jump and run up the wall and

wall jump on piece by piece.

Very Nathan Drake, Laura Croft style.

Funny enough.

Okay, last name.

Gimme an athletic chair.

A seven.

Adam: Oh, okay.

You are gonna fall and slip off of
one of the rocks and you're gonna

take 1D six fall damage per 10 feet.

And that was a 30 foot drop.

Jesus.

So you take, gosh, 12 damage.

Congratulations.

Kaleb: You get to look
at your new character.

Sky: You've unlocked
your new Congratulations.

Kaleb: You are dead.

Zac : I'm gonna go 12, David.

Oh, he's got, he's going be on his back.

He's got shit.

Okay.

Adam: I really wish I could see
the whole face facial structures

of all that as you lean back.

All right, Celine, you're next.

Sky: Celine's gonna witness this
man fall for a second time and

still think that he pushed her.

And gonna try to athletics my way up.

The this

Zac : hold the grudges, man.

Yes.

I was hoping for acrobatics.

I would've been fun.

Sky: I swear to God I
am not fucking joking.

I rolled another fucking one for a four.

Adam: All right.

You're taking the 14 damage
and now you fall on me sword.

And you having to fall on Henry.

As Henry shovels himself back
up, he immediately gets hit.

Byline's plate mail on
the down land on his horn.

Sky: The hell are you doing?

Laying there?

Zac : The hell are you doing?

Falling on me again?

Good God.

You think one time's enough?

Sky: It's

Zac : our thing

Sky: now.

We just have to do it.

I'm sorry.

Zac : I'm not your cushion woman, Sam.

Kaleb: It's your turn to the bit,

Zac : what did

Kaleb: you say?

Commit to the bit.

Zac : It's every time now.

Every time?

Yep.

That's Canon Amazing.

Adam: Alright, Sam, go for it.

How far up is the highest
part that I can see?

Yeah.

You're coming around the
corner of the spiral.

You see there's a broken set of
stairs between you and that, and

there's a rafter beam coming across
outside of it that's exposed.

So you could jump from there
to the next staircase set.

Yeah.

That's where they had fallen from.

Okay.

I'm just gonna misty step up there.

Okay.

All right.

He misty steps up there gradually
looking down at the peasants below him.

Oh guys, come on.

We're wasting time.

Point that as I wash, we gotta go.

Alright.

Now it is Z's turn.

Kaleb: Zeb is going to
look at the two of them.

Look at, he's just gonna try.

He's not even gonna say anything.

He's just gonna shrug his shoulders
and try to run up and jump.

Okay.

That is a 13.

Adam: Yeah.

You are able to jump from the
bottom to the top successfully.

Kaleb: And he looks down at Celine
and Henry and goes, my friends.

I do not know why it was so difficult.

It was an easy jump,

Adam: But you didn't really
jump your legs like extended

and you just stepped over it.

Correct?

Yeah,

Zac : I just like arms extend.

Expect ga

go.

Exactly.

Yeah.

I'm gonna say is it, we're
back in initiative like

Adam: Yep.

It's Henry Stern.

Zac : I'm gonna say, yeah, I'm gonna
save myself the trouble and just Misty

step and I'm gonna cast Misty step and
just shoot right up there and Okay.

Pop right up on the thing.

Adam: Are you gonna take Celine
with you or are you just gonna

Celine down there by yourself?

Zac : No, she fell me.

I'm gonna say

best of luck

Adam: to you

Zac : and

Sky: boop, we might be here a while.

I ain't got nothing.

Adam: All right.

All right, Celine you just
watched Henry just leave you

Sky: and they say she is dead.

It is.

This is ridiculous.

I'm gonna try to athletics up again.

Okay.

That's a 13.

Adam: Okay.

You're able to climb
up and you make it up.

It's like the scene where
like they're trying to get up.

They're like grabbing on the root
of the legends and they're pulling

themselves up, and then she just
rolls over on the ground and she's

just heavy breathing in her plate.

Now

Sky: I'm tired of this guys.

Adam: Alright.

That's too damn bad.

As soon as you're going up sham sees it.

There's no staircase.

However, there is an opening of the
spire itself that y'all are, y'all can

grapple onto from a beam and y'all could
possibly get inside from that spot.

Sam, yeah.

I'm going to Misty step again
because I don't wanna fall.

Yep.

So I'm just gonna misty
step again to the top.

Okay?

Yep.

Yeah.

So you, misty, step up to the
top and you peek inside and

you see a floating scroll room.

Ooh.

Do I see any initial, like
threats that like enemies are.

Not that you're aware of.

You can't hear anything.

It looks very abandoned.

Okay, cool.

Then we go to Z.

Kaleb: So you said that there's
a, i there's a doorway I can,

like realistically jump to

Adam: Yeah, you could jump or
grapple onto the, to the, like the

banister across that's hanging over.

Okay.

It's up to you on how you want to do that.

Kaleb: If I made the door bigger,
would it make it easier for, would it

make the DC a little bit more easier?

Adam: Sure.

I'll, you can make the big, I
just wanna see what happens.

Kaleb: So no.

So I have mold earth, so I can
actually excavate like a five

foot cube worth of like rockers.

Oh, nice.

Okay.

I just wanna take a portion of
that door and just go and move in

Adam: works.

Kaleb: I can make it a little
easier for everybody, at least

the next time around for me.

Adam: Nice.

All right.

Then we're back to the top with Henry.

Yeah.

Zac : Henry's gonna misty step again

Adam: okay.

You're back to the top.

Celine

Zac : I'm gonna be nice and I'm
gonna take Celine with me this time.

Still

Sky: on the floor.

Heavy breathing.

Zac : Yep.

I'm just gonna grab her
and say no time to rest.

Adam: So that completes that.

And then and then we'll just
cycle back through all the way to

Z's portion to get him back up.

Cool.

Kaleb: Cool.

Adam: Cool, cool.

Kaleb: All right.

And oh, that, I thought that was a one.

That's a seven.

Gimme one second.

That is a nine.

Adam: Nine.

Okay.

You made the whole bigger
so that made the DC lower.

So you're good there.

Nice.

And you're able to make it into the spire.

So now y'all are inside the spire itself.

Inside the broken heart of the spire,
levitating, scroll vault, drifts and

fragments above a shattered floor.

You can feel the magic still
sustains the chunks of stone

and floating memory scrolls.

Some are real others could not

Zac : question.

Can we take a small rest?

Sure.

Because we are a little tired after that.

Wonderful.

Adam: Says the warlock after bey says
after using both of his fell slots and

Zac : taking damage, so
I needed to heal anyway.

And funny, I rolled,

she was on the ground.

Celine was on the ground
two breathing heavy.

I was like, we got, we need a break.

We need a break here.

I gotta go.

Adam: I only have two spouse slot.

I gotta take a jab.

Zac : Take a nap here.

Hey guess what?

So we're all like.

Okay.

Adam: Grab the bite.

You like another cigarette in
the non-smoking area of the magic

fire cigarette in the protein bar.

Fuck that fall hurts.

Hey man, don't knock the protein bar.

Okay.

So y'all take a short rest
and then y'all are free to

investigate the scrolls and stasis.

Zac : All right.

So can I roll in Ana to, just to
make sure these aren't trapped?

Adam: Yeah.

Yeah, I can, I'm gonna help him.

Kaleb: Okay.

Adam: I was

Kaleb: gonna say, if you didn't
help him, I was gonna, I got 15

because I can roll Ana as well.

Adam: Yeah.

1815.

15.

15.

So you know that you, in order to
get access to some of these scrolls,

you're gonna have to disable the
stasis of the chamber itself.

You find this out by you rolled your
oana, but you threw a rock into the

stasis of the floating scrolls, and
you noticed the rock was just lifted

and levitated up higher and higher.

Okay.

So we'll say it's levitating
and it's not like this.

It enters it and like stops.

It likes No, it continues.

It.

Not like a lingering times
stop or anything like that.

Zac : Nope.

This is Willy Wonka's
busy lifting drink, yeah.

Adam: Yeah.

Zac : Very cool.

Adam: Yeah, there's just a blade fan that
you have to escape out of at the very top.

You gotta burp your way out of it.

Hear me out.

Willy Wonka in the Chocolate
Factory is a horror film purview.

Is that is absolutely.

Zac : Film.

Gene Wilder.

Yeah.

A hundred percent

as a kid.

Adam: Okay.

So y'all can roll a you, y'all can roll
Orana again to figure out how to disable.

Yeah, I'll roll an Ana.

Zac : Oh, 23.

I have this call Magic.

Woo.

Adam: How wrote it that way?

It's

Sky: like sitting here.

Adam: Oh, you have dispel magic.

Zac : Yeah.

Wait,

Adam: I've got it as well.

Oh, that that works too.

If you just wanna do that's fine.

Kaleb: Yeah I'll blow a third
level spell because I just

do not wanna mess with that.

Okay.

You enough.

Tired of this shit.

Adam: So you're able to dispel the
stasis field around the scrolls.

However, the scrolls are still
levitating, so just mind you there,

that they just don't all come crashing.

They don't all just come
crashing down for it.

Okay.

All right, bet.

Can I and then

Zac : go.

Adam: And then y'all can search
through some of the scrolls.

Zac : Yeah, I was gonna ask
Yeah, definitely investigate.

Can I see if there's any useful
scrolls I can actually use?

Yeah.

All right.

What do I need to roll?

Sam: What'd you roll?

I got a

Adam: 23 3 investigation.

Yeah.

Investigation.

Investigate here.

That's fine.

Yeah.

I got a 23.

Oh, not 20.

Ooh, that, so both of y'all are
mumbling through different scrolls

and you see the different ones.

One of them is like God,
like records of gods that you

feel like would maybe useful.

I grab that one.

And then you find minute notes of
the last few meetings of the hallowed

halls before mall car was taken over.

You can also you also take a
scroll, what's called the scroll

of divine Recollection where once
per day you can look at the scroll

and it reveals what you desire in
in lifts and celestial basically.

It basically gives you clues.

Kaleb: I found the celestial
equivalent of the funny papers.

Adam: Yep.

Yeah.

What if I look at it and I
really just want achieve to see.

Yeah.

If y'all look at the scroll
or is anyone looking at the

scroll in divine recollection?

I'm giving that to the cleric like this.

Yours.

Sky: Look at it.

Adam: Alright, so you look at it it
says the name written on the first

flame was not power, but trust.

It was not law but belief.

It is this name that opens the path,

Zac : not law, but trust.

Not power, but belief.

Adam: Oh, create

Zac : a riddle.

Adam: And then as you
mine's full of riddle.

Great.

As you as you make your way outside
of the scroll room itself you are

approached by a bronze a bronze divine
lock sealed in a bronze arch inscribed

with celestial riding blocks which you
assume to be a chamber beyond this is

a divine lock forged by hidden God.

Zac : So we see a chamber
with a divine lock.

Basically, and we've already
asked the celestial divine

recollection, scroll, how to what?

We've asked it something for the day.

I've already,

Adam: yes.

That was like you looked at it.

That was the name written on the
first flame was not power, but trust.

It was not law but belief.

It is the name that opens the path.

Can I get, I'm trying.

Because Sam, me here.

Here's first name, trust, and
then the first part of the,

what the railroad guy said.

Say the name that, that God's
trust the most if we can, yeah.

If there's a, if there's a lore history
there that one of our characters know or

understand or be able to try to recollect
of any kind of, not necessarily other

gods, but if there was like a first
cleric of the gods or some kind of,

yeah.

Like mouth of the gods or
old prophet or something.

So if y'all wanna roll in
investigation on the lock itself

that's in front of you, that's fine.

And then I can, if you want to
roll anything else, just let,

okay.

Y'all approach the bronze arch and
the door itself, and you see a circle

of floating ruins, hovers in front
of the arch, and each room represents

a word or name and celestial.

You realize that, that based off
of the passage before that only the

true name that God's trusted in their
final moments will open the seal.

Yeah.

Kaleb: So could I, because that's
a little, now I was gonna say that

was a little meta gaming because now
I'm, I would have no reason to try

to think of like history of names.

Yeah.

Zac : Can Deb wouldn't, can Henry just go.

He's annoyed that we gotta solve this.

Can he just go list through all the
gods and just start saying their names?

Can he just say, lo payor dumb?

Adam: Yeah,

Zac : exactly.

Literally

Adam: firing, just goes
alphabetical order.

Yeah, just like you're in
your old religion class.

I gotta make, they're they're ruins.

So you'll have to grab thero
that has a God name on it and

put it in the lock itself.

Oh.

So we actually got How many ruins?

How many ruins are there?

You said there's six.

Six.

Okay.

Six Gods

Sky: left.

What did they say?

Adam: You have you have Bama here.

Palor del You have Lth and you have
what was, where did my notes go?

How many did I just say four?

Was that four?

Zac : Yeah.

Adam: Basil, Mamu loaf,
Sierra deal, Palor.

Tier.

Zac : Tier and Dagor.

Adam: Yes.

And

Zac : Dagor.

Okay.

That's

Adam: okay.

And y'all could read the
celestial phrases if you want to.

You just have to roll a religion on that,

Sky: even though I speak Celesio.

Adam: Yes.

You just get a better de I'm not worried.

19.

Yeah.

Anyway, if you pass it one of the scrolls
that are, that is near the room door is

one name they did not burn, only buried.

And then if you wanna roll, if
anyone wants to roll intelligence

around the room that this arche
is in, you can too intelligence.

Try that.

Ooh, that is a 25.

I

Kaleb: got a 17.

Adam: Okay.

You notice that there is a scrubbed
away pa not really scrubbed away.

It's just been that it's
chipped away over time.

Just because it's just been so old.

Kinda like the old Roman, like
paintings and stuff that they find

that it's been halfway chipped
away and they have to assume Yeah.

What the rest of it is.

So you see that of a, what
looks to be a burning flame?

Shielding shielding a group
of I guess followers you would

assume against a shadowy figure.

A

Zac : shadow and, okay.

And pull up our notes.

Kaleb: Ugh.

Okay.

So we were told that Dale was the god of
the flame right at the beginning by Thorn.

So its to reason that painting
might be Dale protecting people from

one of the other gods or mall car.

Zac : Can we tell the 'cause Cidel is
technically a female goddess, correct?

Yeah.

Can we tell that this is a
female figure protecting?

Yes, you can.

Okay.

So I'm gonna assume it's cidel.

Can Henry, knowing his background of
adventuring, can he roll like a history

to see if he's seen a painting of cidel
or like a depiction of cidel before?

Sure.

Yeah, that's a 17.

Ooh,

Adam: nice.

In your travels around of ancient
temples and such you do recall

a flame like bean with the
inscription of cidel underneath it

Zac : so I can safely
assume this is cidel.

Adam: You could.

Zac : Okay.

I'm gonna go ahead without
consulting and just grab Dale's

ruin and move it to the lock.

Kaleb: See what happens.

So well last time.

Zac : Yeah.

Let's see.

Adam: Alright you get four D six radiant
damage to all and a 15 foot radius.

So who's around them?

Oh, Lee.

Shit.

How much radi?

Are you sure that's how much?

46 4 D six, not 46.

Okay.

I was like, what?

Yeah,

Kaleb: I was like
congratulations, new character.

Let's,

Adam: I'm just messing y'all.

Y'all got it.

But that was gonna grab
anything else other than that

Zac : I was like, I am so certain.

Adam: Yeah so you put the room of Cidel
in there and it unlocks the archway.

Inside is the is a room just
just a ancient chapel room.

Almost like the flaming chapel.

Very similar in that way with
the two, two pews on either side.

And they, it is just on a smaller
scale with Cidel in the middle,

what you can assume to be cidel as
a statue in the middle of the altar.

Kaleb: Roll perception.

Just to see if I can notice if
there's anything or anybody,

like anything moving around or
like present in the room with us.

Adam: Yeah.

You so roll for that.

Kaleb: Alright, I got a 10.

Adam: Okay.

You noticed that the end of the pew,
or at the end of the pew sits what

looks to be a a small librarian is the
only thing that you could think of.

He is in the same kind of robes
that that Professor Thorn was in.

Kaleb: Got it.

I'm gonna pass that along, prince.

There's a small biological
thing in the room with us.

Adam: We, I turn around and do I
also clock the same individual or,

yeah.

Cool.

Yeah, if y'all want to approach,
you can, if you want to keep

your distance, it's up to y'all.

Okay.

I feel like we should
just call out to him.

Zac : Yeah, let's call out.

Yeah.

It's like that scene from Sean of the
dead where they're standing in the

backyard and boy, and they kinda throw
something to get their attention.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So we might throw a small
pebble in front of him Hey.

Adam: Take out like an old unused
vial and just throw at his feet.

Yeah.

Hey,

Zac : hello.

What are you doing here?

Adam: Alright.

You notice that he turns and looks at you
and you finally get a good look at it.

And he looks like a bean made
out of parchment fire and ink.

And he's so he's like a
creature of some sort.

And he speaks to you
telepathically to you.

And he goes, you hold the spark of
truth, but truth burns the, those

unworthy prove your name is not hollow.

Prove my name's

Zac : not hollow.

Adam: Think Shane looks at his chest and
goes, there's not like a hole in my chest.

I'm pretty sure I'm

Kaleb: God.

And I am made of metal.

My body is hollow.

Zac : I don't know what to do here, guys.

I'm lost.

Can I

Adam: roll?

Can I try to investigate to see
if there if again looking, you

could roll inside as inside.

Okay, cool.

Yeah.

Cool.

Eh, I'll let you roll some insight insight
that's going to be not good enough to 9

Sky: 25.

Adam: You get the feeling that he may not
want to fight y'all if he doesn't have to.

Kind of a kind of feeling of prove it.

Prove that you're worthy.

All right, to ghost, come in peace.

Zac : I think Henry, show
him the orb that we got.

Oh,

oh yeah.

I think that Who's holding the orb?

Sky: You are.

I thought

Zac : Dang.

Yeah.

Am

Sky: not holding

Zac : it.

You still it?

Okay.

Sky: Unless you gave it away.

Zac : No.

That's actually what he threw.

I sold it for five gold.

What do y'all mean?

You bought the

Sky: t-shirt with it?

We didn't need, I love mallard.

Zac : Just wrapped on the chest.

No, nah, no.

You talked about

Adam: the sun talman.

Zac : Yeah, the sun talisman.

And I'm gonna walk up both hands
extended and say we are not

hollow and extend it to him.

Okay?

We are not hollow partner.

Adam: He looks at you and he
goes, you bear the mark, but.

How can you be trustworthy?

Zac : It's a great question.

Question.

Mouth our shirt on.

Okay.

Okay.

I got something.

I got something,

I got something.

I'm going to, I don't
know how this is gonna go.

Okay.

I'm a little scared.

I'm going to take the ambulance I've
had off and hold it out to him and say

you can take the source of my power.

Oh no.

Adam: He takes one of his burning
embers of a, of paper, which could

be described as a hand to y'all.

And grabs it and holds it.

And and he takes it and
investigates it himself.

And he looks and he goes, ah, one of those
that have been bound by us before them,

a different power that you have to use.

You are bound to someone else, aren't you?

Zac : I am.

And I didn't lie to you.

That is the source of my power.

Adam: But what do you seek to break the
spell of one's own power from the other?

Zac : Something to get him off
my back, to get it off my back

Adam: very well.

I do not want this power that you
seek and he hands it back to you.

And he goes, you necessarily, you're
not worthy of the cipher itself,

but seen as the other deviants
around that I've been made aware of.

I just had to be sure that you were
trustworthy and if you're willing

to sacrifice your own power, why
Malika's agents wouldn't do that.

Pleasure to meet you.

I'm the words keeper.

The first god of the first flame guard.

Guard.

Blurred.

Yeah.

Kaleb: First flame.

God.

Yeah, buddy.

Let's screw that one back.

Adam: Yeah.

Edit.

Edit.

Zac : Darn.

Adam: I yield to you a scroll.

This will contain the first
piece of the ccy first location.

Oh, thanks.

Zac : Partner.

Adam: And then as he hands it to
you you fill a sharp earthquake.

Shaking happening.

Zac : So is the earthquake.

So the ground rubbles.

Adam: Yeah, the ground rumbles,
things start to shift and fall.

And he he goes, you have to,
he goes, you have to get outta

here before the full spire.

Falls by cholesterol power cannot
keep this cannot keep the magic

alive in this spire for much longer.

As more and more of Sierra DE's followers
fade into existence, the less the my

power is able to maintain the spire.

As the rocks fall, the glyphs flash.

Y'all are running out at this point.

I'm not gonna make y'all
roll, through all of that.

You hear as it echoes he final words
of the words keep say, south beyond

the mirrored sea, where the memory
lies in tuned the cipher weights.

And as y'all make it out the cliff
side with a scroll in hand you see

the spire behind you fully collapse.

And the words fade off into existence
as you hold tightly to the memory.

Scroll.

Zac : Woo.

Kaleb: We did it.

We did it.

Great job there.

Partner.

As we get outta the towers, I'm just
gonna be like, why does it seem like

every building we are in is either falling
apart or actively trying to kill us?

Sky: Because it is a

Adam: great idea,

Kaleb: a great observation.

Zac : Yeah.

That's part of the adventure.

Is it?

Not my friend?

Maybe.

Maybe we're

Adam: cursed.

Zac : No, you're not cursed.

Don't say that I'm cursed.

Kaleb: Okay.

South he said we should head south.

Adam: Yeah.

Very fast.

And so if y'all head south
that will be towards Oppel.

And and y'all can certainly
make your way there.

However, Celine, roll me a perception.

Sky: Oh, okay.

23.

Ooh.

Let,

Adam: Let's you hear faintly that
through, through your ears and only your

ears, you hear that a divine celestial
speak says the words keepers, riddle

rings true south to oppo, you must go.

But first, further through the mountain,

the only sacred flame may
ignite what the soul seeks.

Zac : What in the fuck does that mean?

Sky: You gonna have to type
that one out for me, man.

Yeah.

Hold

Zac : up my brain.

Yeah.

So basically, hey, chat.

GPT decipher chat, GPT.

Adam: So basically the only sacred
flame may ignite what the soul seeks.

Flame.

The only sacred, I dunno what that means.

Charter.

Yeah.

No, that further it, it said
further up the mountain, like you're

in the spire in the mountains.

Oh.

You can go further up in the
mountain and something that

you're, is there, are there any

Kaleb: other spires,
like something that your

Adam: soul seeks?

You don't know of any other spire
around you that, that is around you?

Okay.

That you don't see one, this is
like an old ancient one, but you

can go further up the mountain.

Sha you do know the mountain's name?

Okay.

Where it is?

It's Mount Harrain.

H-A-H-R-A-T-H-E-N.

Okay.

And you can, if Celine decides
to share what she desires most,

she can let you know, or that
y'all can just head to on and off.

It's up to y'all.

Sky: Real quick before we head on south,
we're already up here and everything,

there's something I have to go check
out in this general mountainous

direction, if you guys don't mind.

Yeah.

That's not out.

Adam: But wait, we're
supposed to go south?

Sky: Yes.

And correct.

I was told that is correct.

But also there's something
that a soul seeks this way.

And you know when the God speaks to
you in your eye, in your not your eyes,

Zac : when the God speaks to
you in your eyeball, you see

Adam: it?

Honestly,

Kaleb: it cut out.

It's just, it's like Google blast.

You just text crawling.

Adam: I'm gonna be honest.

It cut out there, when you said speaks,
it sounded like spits in your eye.

I was like oh.

Zac : It's that kind of
d and d play through.

Okay

Sky: listen

anyways, when a God speaks
to you, you hear it.

You gotta listen.

I know y'all don't understand,
but I gotta go this way.

There might be something
in it for you guys.

I don't know.

You guys seem like loop people.

Kaleb: Last time someone said there
might be something in it, we ended here.

Zac : Yeah.

I'm gonna take that.

'cause I need to get, I'm trying
to do something of my own and see,

once again, he's gonna clutch his
amulet and go, if you catch my drift.

Sky: Do you have heartburn or something?

You want a new necklace?

Zac : You

Adam: wanna, you can have my

Zac : necklace.

No.

Have y'all really not?

Put it together.

Yet I you do realize I'm
indebt to a greater being.

Yeah.

No, nobody.

No.

Kaleb: That was fairly obvious.

You, when you handing the man emulate.

Zac : Yeah.

Adam: Cook.

Yeah.

Thank you.

I This what?

Oh shit.

That explains so much.

Kaleb: Welcome to the conversation.

Zac : Welcome.

Yeah.

Alright, so I'm trying to get rid
of this and I can't, so I'm trying

to find something that can, so I
say, let's follow Celine right here.

Maybe she won't fall on me this time, but,

Adam: Roll me a, you fell on me.

Sham.

Roll me a perception, please.

Yes, sir.

Lord perception.

Where's my perception?

It's a 14.

Okay.

As they're discussing Zach's heartburn or
Henry's heartburn you notice out of some

of the rubble of the spire that you're
standing out there is a golden like paper

flickering back and forth in the wind as
the snow falls and it catches your eye.

I think as they're bickering,
I go hey guys over there.

And I start to walk towards it.

You look at it and it looks like
just a golden piece of parchment.

Sam's going to quick and arcana
for explosion traps kind of thing.

But he wants to, he wants to pick it up.

Okay.

You notice that is magical, but
there is no traps to be had.

Okay.

Okay, cool.

Then yeah I grab it.

Yeah.

So you grab the you grab it and you
notice that it is a map of stitched

veem scraps and you notice that it has
the it looks like it has a shows like

where the spire is and it shows that
there is a pathway north to Mount Rahan.

Oh, okay.

A hidden pathway.

Hey

Sky: guys.

I found something.

What you find?

Adam: Can I hold it up like

Sky: it's a map?

See, we were supposed to go this way.

Okay.

Quick detour

Adam: after him kind
tosses through the map.

Zac : All I guess we're in it
for the long runner, right?

In a

Adam: map.

It's glistening in Golden Celestial.

As you're as y'all are all walking
up through the mountain the the snow

gets covered over y'all's tracks.

You leave the spire if
snow begins to fall.

Y'all are all huddled up
fairly close together.

I'd imagine.

You can hear the winds carry the faint
whispers of celestial voices humming the

very hymn that you now hold the keeps
humming the sacred flame may ignite.

The soul seeks, keeps humming that the
treacherous path leads you up to what?

To a frozen ridge and an icy cavern
is illuminated by strange and

shifting lights of the aurora of
divine presence in front of you.

So in front of you, is it noy
cavern appearing into the cavern?

Do we initially see anything note
looking into the cavern itself?

You're not seeing anything of of note.

You, it like you, you go out of distance
range as it's going down into it.

I'm gonna try to find a rock and
drop it and see how deep it's.

Alright.

You drop a rock into the cavern itself and
you wait to, you count how many seconds

it is to, for it to hear a nice plop.

And you can assume it's probably
around 150 feet down below.

Shat turn goes.

It's deep.

Really deep.

Yeah.

Don't you guys don't fall.

Okay.

Sky: We like to fall.

Adam: We're not falling.

Zac : Yeah, you

Sky: fall out,

Zac : you die.

I'm not getting near that.

Especially with that one.

And he's gonna point toward
Celine and he's I'm, Nope, it is

not, we're not doing this today.

Not I'm, I don't wanna die.

Sky: I you want, you might not die.

It's fine.

And she'll touch everybody to
give you 300 feet of dark vision.

Zac : There we go.

We're going.

Yeah.

Adam: I think

Zac : hundred feet.

I have dark vision.

60 feet.

So does that add on to my
dark vision since I'm Yes.

It you we

Adam: got 360 feet.

Yes.

Perfect.

I can see everything.

What do your

Sky: LI see,

Adam: I see Everyth, like I lost.

Kaleb: Look with your special,
my brand, we never have.

Sky: Does everybody have rope?

If we combine, we might
be able to do the 150.

Oh.

Adam: Everybody has an adventuring pack.

Sam: I got rope.

Sky: I got 50 feet of rope.

Yeah, I got 50 feet.

Got 50 feet.

Adam: There's

Sky: only four of us do 200 feet rope.

I'm here

Sam: now.

Who can tie's the rope?

How you gonna

Zac : can tie knots?

The heaviest Z will, since he's
metal, he's probably the heaviest,

Kaleb: right?

Yeah.

I'm, let me see.

I have a, I'm 300 pounds, so Yeah.

I'm absolutely the heaviest.

Zac : Zab is definitely the heaviest.

So all anchor can try.

Can

Adam: we or we can
stick a, have a crowbar.

We can like crowbar in the,
like behind a rock or something?

Zac : Yeah.

Oh, we

Adam: could try to lemme see.

Fuck.

I just don't want it to come loose.

You

Kaleb: crowbar, you the
crowbar to hold 300 pounds.

Adam: Never.

No.

Nevermind.

Nevermind.

How?

Hold on.

On Definitely don't have anything that's

Kaleb: gonna make it
easier for me to get downs.

Oh, the time.

Sky: You could always keep watch.

Worse comes to worse.

Adam: That's, do

Sky: I have feather fall?

I do not.

It

Adam: could be the moment where we jump
down and as we get close, Misty stepped

half the way to not take ball damage.

When you try to get out playing
Minecraft and you throw a

water bucket the last second,

Zac : it's tough.

We could all do that.

But that is, I feel like that's
gonna take a save of some time.

That feels dangerous.

Kaleb: Oh yeah.

No, that's absolutely.

Zac : That's a gamble right there.

Yeah.

Adam: See, I don't

Zac : know.

What kind of role will
we need for that, Adam?

Adam: What, the misty step
or jump down with a person?

Zac : Yeah.

Like we're gonna jump with a partner
and then we're gonna misty step, like

when we get and range A mis step.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So night crawler teleport

Adam: it be, it'll be two.

It'll be two roles.

All right.

Okay.

Zac : Yeah.

Adam: One will be an intelligence
role to know how close you are

for your misty step to work.

Zac : Okay.

Adam: So you don't take fall damage
and the next one will be in athletics

to hold onto the other person.

Zac : Woo.

That's not gonna be good.

Adam: Or we can throw a healing
potion down there and try to

land in the healing potion juice.

That is a,

Zac : we're talking 150 feet.

We take a D six of every 10 foot.

Let's not do that.

We're all gonna die.

That is, it's if you
all jump down the Yeah.

Under dark and balders gate
without feather fall, you're just

cut and you're just splattered

Adam: pushing on you.

As long as you land where the
potion splashes, you're fine.

You get your 54 back.

Correct.

I always get logic.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Okay.

No, I'm not doing that.

The misty step's probably the

Adam: only route we

Kaleb: have.

Zac : Okay.

Adam: Is there any rocks or anything?

We can I look for like a boulder nearby?

Something heavy?

That's a pretty boulder.

I like that.

Boulder.

I like that.

Boulder.

I'm gonna find a boulder.

Boulder.

Zac : Boulder.

Adam: And I'm gonna try to,
that's not just a boulder.

We should take our open.

Use the rope to climb down.

Both the both are holding it.

Zac : We gotta climb down
one at a time though, because

that rope's only gonna hold so

Adam: much.

Yeah, for sure.

Alright perception please.

18.

That's a five.

Alright, let's see.

Percent

Zac : 18.

Adam: Celine, you looked around the cavern
and you actually see what looks to be a

a decently ized staircase to get down.

Sky: Oh my God.

Hey guys.

I love, I'm loving this rope idea
that I definitely put out here.

And the halfway on the rope falling down.

It's a great idea, but there's some
staircases over here that we could

just walk down gently, smoothly.

Zac : Yeah, I like that.

That's not bad as people are getting,
that's not a bad idea right there.

No,

Adam: no one asked if
there was stairs at all.

They just got to we would

Zac : assume We see
stairs walking up to it.

Adam: I don't know.

We play, I don't mean
we play with a nice dm.

They like, guys, don't worry when I'm

Zac : DMing.

You won't have to look for stairs.

You'll see it.

Okay, perfect.

You'll see stairs because
that's common sense.

You'll see them.

I'm looking for a way down.

Adam: Oh no.

I'm gonna ignore the stairs over there.

I just love that.

It was so funny.

I was like, heaven, that stairs
fully prepared to let us do that

Zac : because our eyeballs would see

Adam: stairs.

Y'all make your way down to the, to

Zac : Very,

oh, he's there.

God are cutting out there.

We're losing.

You we're.

That's karma for telling
us there's not stairs.

Yeah, exactly.

Adam: Y'all make your way
down through the staircase.

All right.

Y'all make your way
into the cavern itself.

And from what you could see you are
in a cavern buried with a sunken das

that holds nine celestial statues
around, and they all have their

hands out, like in front of them.

Cupped.
