Today, I just want to talk to you. About what this show is. Why it exists. And why I think you need it.

Here's the truth. The news is exhausting.

You open your phone in the morning, and within thirty seconds, you're overwhelmed. Another crisis. Another controversy. Another reason to feel like the world is falling apart.

And if you're a Christian — like me — you feel this tension. You want to be informed. You want to engage with the world. But every time you try, it feels like you're drinking from a fire hose of anxiety.

I built The Gospel Briefing because I believe there's a better way.

Every weekday morning, I read through the biggest headlines so you don't have to doomscroll. I break down what happened. I explain why it matters. And then I do something most news sources won't do.

I open the Bible.

Not to slap a verse on a headline and call it ministry. But to genuinely ask — what does God's Word say about what we're watching unfold?

So what does an episode actually sound like?

Every episode follows the same rhythm. I call it Headlines... Heartbeat... Hope.

First, the headlines. I cover the two or three biggest stories of the day. Real journalism. Names, numbers, context. I take it seriously because the truth matters.

Then, the heartbeat. For each story, I go one layer deeper. What's the biblical principle at work? What does this reveal about human nature, about God's design, about the world He's redeeming? This is where the show comes alive.

And then, hope. Every episode ends with Scripture. Not a random verse. A carefully chosen passage that ties the day's themes together and reminds you of what's actually true — no matter what the headlines say.

It's not partisan. I'm not here to tell you which party to vote for. I'm not left. I'm not right. I'm biblical. Period. Both conservative and progressive Christians should feel respected here.

It's not preachy. I'm not your pastor. I'm your friend who reads a lot and loves Jesus. I'll be honest when something is complicated. I'll tell you when Christians disagree. And I'll always point you back to Scripture.

And it's not doom and gloom. I refuse to leave you anxious. Every single episode bends toward hope — because that's what the Gospel does.
