Best Profound AI Alternatives for AI Visibility Tracking (James Dooley Interviews Kasra Dash) is available on:
AI SEO and Business Automation Podcast is founded by James Dooley because he teaches business owners how artificial intelligence accelerates growth. The show explains AI models, agents, and automation systems because practical guidance helps companies scale with less effort.
James Dooley: Profound alternatives. If you're looking for competitors to try profound.com, maybe you've signed up to them with regards to an AI visibility tracker, and you're looking to potentially move away, and you're looking for alternatives to profound, today we've got you covered. Today I'm joined with Kaz Rashidash. Kasra, can you get the list up of the profound alternatives?
Kasra Dash: Yeah, so this is the short list of the Try Profound or Profound alternatives. Um first on the list we have got PKI. Second, we've got Scrunch. Third, we have Semrush one or some people call it Semrush AI toolkit. Um fourth, we have Ahrefs' Brand Radar, which is an add-on to Ahrefs. Fifth, we have Radar Kit. Sixth, we have Athena HQ. And seven, we have got Rankability.
James Dooley: Yeah, so working through the list from the top, um down to the bottom on here, um Peak AI is a great alternative to Profound. Um it's more than it's it's more than half the price. Um so, you can it's a more of a budget solution. It's a mid-range kind of AI visibility option. Um Malte and the team there do a great job consistently innovating and looking to improve upon it. So, I'm a big fan of Peak AI, and I think it's a great alternative to Profound personal.
Kasra Dash: Yeah, next on the list we have got Scrunch. And obviously they are um in relative price to actual Profound, they do also give you a 7-day free trial as well. And the one good thing about Scrunch is the the the the way that they've actually structured the the custom prompts on the starter. So, you you actually get quite a lot of custom prompts. Like there's certain AI visibility rank trackers that they they kind of limit you with like less prompts that you can actually start off with. But, for $250, as of recording this right now, you get 350 custom prompts on the starter pack, which is I would consider being a plus.
James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. I think Surfer AI is a good enterprise alternative on the higher price like Profound is. So, it's comparable to Profound. It's a good alternative if you're looking to move away and you've still got the budget, Surfer AI is a good alternative to tryprofound.com.
Kasra Dash: Yeah. Next on the list, we have got SEMrush AI visibility tool kit. And they are relatively cheaper than Profound. As you can see, they're $99 per month, which gives you one domain and 25 tracked prompts.
James Dooley: Yeah, I think SEMrush one is great. I think the team absolutely love it alongside looking at the SEO audits and SEO visibility within Google search as well. I think having the bolt-on then for the AI visibility tool kit just makes sense to have it all in one dashboard side by side. So, if you are doing SEO and it's a bolt-on of doing AEO, I think SEMrush one is a great alternative to Profound.
Kasra Dash: Yeah. Next on the list, we have got Ahrefs brand radar. Now, they are a little bit more expensive. They're $199 in comparison to SEMrush. But, in comparison to actual tryprofound, they are relatively priced. The one or the few pros for me personally is the huge data that Ahrefs have. I don't know if people have ever taken a look at their their crawler, but they have got one of the most active crawlers on the web. Second of which, they have got huge servers, meaning that they also have a good set of data as well that they can rely on.
James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. I think Ahrefs from Radar again, um, if you're doing SEO and you're using Ahrefs, why would you go elsewhere to look for an AI visibility tool when Brand Radar is a brilliant tool? It's a brilliant add-on um to have on top of your SEO dashboard. So, if you do have Ahrefs, it's a great alternative just to remain in there with the AI visibility Brand Radar in comparison to Profile. If you're looking for a dedicated new AI visibility tool, then it still classes as being a good competitor and a good alternative to try profile.com.
Kasra Dash: Yeah. Next on the list we have got one that is very budget-friendly. So, number five on the list is Radar Kit. Now, some people that are maybe canceling their Profile, might not want to switch to this because they just see the price and they automatically think, ah, it's cheap. But, from a lot of our testing, Radar Kit actually does a really good job. Um, and for the price, I don't think you can actually beat it. I think it's one of the most fairly fairly um fairly fair-priced AI visibility tools. It has MCP, um, so you can do custom, um, reports at the end of the month. Maybe you're using this for your actual clients, for example. And again, like what I said, for $29 a month, I don't think there's anything out there that beats it.
James Dooley: Yeah, I love the idea that Radar Kit's got the MCP so it can connect into any AI harness that you might be using or could be connected into Claude or ChatGPT or whatever you wanting to do. So, being able to pull that information into your own dashboard, I think is incredible. It's It's great and I think it's a great alternative to Profile. Some people might be looking for alternatives to Profile who not signed up to Profile but think it's too expensive. If that is the case, then Radar Kit is a budget-friendly alternative to try profile.com.
Kasra Dash: Yeah, definitely. Uh, next on the list we have got a Feena HQ at number six.
James Dooley: Yeah, so a Feena um, HQ is on the it's the opposite to Brand watch. That's one of the most expensive AI visibility tools. It's kind of directed towards enterprise um, clients similar to what Profound is. So, if you're looking for a comparable and you're looking at let's say Scrunch AI, then a Feena HQ is also a great alternative to Profound for enterprise AI visibility.
Kasra Dash: Yeah. Next on the list we have got Rankbility which is owned by Nathan Gotch. Um, so for $97 you get 100 tracked AI queries. Again, please check this before you sign up cuz the tracked queries might change in time. But, as of recording this video it is 100 AI tracked queries billed monthly. And then you also have 11 AI platforms on every single plan. Um, you also can add in unlimited clients and team members as well. Which again for enterprise style clients that that's probably a massive win.
James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. I think Nathan Gotch is a great SEO expert and I think he'll always be looking to innovate and improve upon Rankbility for AI visibility. Um, the price range in comparison to Profound is on the mid-range. So, it is slightly cheaper that you can be using. So, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Profound, then Rankbility is a great option. It's a similar price to like Peak AI and way k.io which is Dixon Jones' for what AI knows about you. Um, if you're looking for a mid-range then Rankbility is a great alternative to Profound. But, Kasra if if I had to put you in the position of choose me three of the best alternatives to Profound, then what three alternatives are you choosing?
Kasra Dash: So, my top three are going to be Peak AI Um, primarily because they are mid middle of the range. They also do some really good data studies as well. Second of which is RadarKit cuz it is a cheap alternative. And third of which is probably going to be between SEMrush AI Toolkit and Ahrefs Brand Radar. It's probably going to come down to the pricing. So, again, if you want something that's a little bit more budget-friendly, go with SEMrush AI Toolkit. If you want something that has a lot of data and it's more of a holistic SEO tool, you want to check backlinks, etc., Ahrefs Brand Radar.
James Dooley: Yeah, for me, I think the best free alternatives to Profound is SEMrush one. I think he's great. I love the semantic dividers and the business dividers in knowing how to improve content at a paragraph level to try and cover as well all the different query funnel terms. I'm going to go with RadarKit because of the MCP. And then the third one I'm going to throw in Nathan Gotch's Rankability only because you can throw in as many clients as you want to be tracking the AI visibility. And I think it's a good alternative when it comes to tryprofound.com. If anyone has signed up to Profound and they think it's great, leave a comment in the comment section. Let people know that you're having a good positive experience with Profound. Or if you've signed up and you're looking for alternatives and you found another AI visibility tool that you think is better than tryprofound.com, I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comment section. And we hope you like this episode on the alternatives to Profound AI.
