Hello and welcome to season 3 of Peace out Poverty. This podcast examines the social issues faced by vulnerable people in our community and provides YOU with the tools to help make a difference.

Peace out Poverty is created and hosted by United Way of the Albera Capital Region’s GenNEXT Committee. We are a network of young professionals helping changemakers strengthen and build community – and that’s where you come in!

There are many ways to support those in need: Volunteering your time, staying informed, and helping to share available tools and resources are just a few examples of how you can make an impact.

Since 2021, we’ve covered a variety of social issues, from the ongoing overdose crisis to access to higher education. This season, we’re excited to talk about resources and initiatives to ensure no one is left behind!

You will be introduced to programs like:
211 Alberta and what support it brings to the Capital Region,
as well as the Youth in Action and Make your Mark initiatives.

You can also look forward to topics like:
The intersection of climate change and poverty,
and the barriers impacting people living with disabilities.

Season three is finally here! Join us on this journey where we will learn together and organize as a community to say: PEACE OUT POVERTY!
