What is Gospel Portions?

Reminders of the gospel that was preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, that you may hold fast to the word preached to you.

Ryan Bush:

What is your only comfort in life and death? That I am not my own, but belong body and soul in life and in death to my faithful savior, Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood. It has delivered me from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my father in heaven. In fact, all things must work together for my salvation because I belong to him. Christ by his holy spirit also assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live unto him. Heidelberg catechism.

Ryan Bush:

Alas, and did my savior bleed, and did my sovereign die? Would he devote that sacred head for such a worm as I? Was it for crimes that I have done? He groaned upon the tree. Amazing pity, grace unknown, and love beyond degree. Drops of tears can never repay the debt of love I owe. Here, Lord, I give myself away. It is all that I can do. Isaac Watts.
